Knowledge is Power – a phrase that is globally
accepted but seldom thrown clarity upon as to
how the power is attained. Education has long
served as the largest road on which humans have
tread upon to attain this elusive power of
knowledge. Being at nearly the pen-ultimate
zenith of this institutional education pyramid, a
management school or a B-School should ensure
that the students under its roof are not only
becoming educated individuals but are also
turning into empowered and employable assets
of the country. It is on the shoulders of these
individuals that the future of a country lies upon
and making the shoulders stronger becomes an
implicit goal of any educational institution.
With this in the hindsight, Seshadripuram
Institute of Management Studies is launching the
Management Forum Programme from the academic year 2018-19 for the students of MBA. The Management Forum is going to serve
as a platform for students to drive productive initiatives among themselves in the form of activities like Business Quiz, Debates, Poster
Making, Ted Talks, Book Talks, Start-up Stars, etc all of which are aimed at bringing about a healthy space for knowledge and values’
exchange.
With faculty members of the department serving as Guides for different activities, the chief mantra of the Forum is going to be: “For
the Students, From the Students”. The mission of the Forum is going to be to osmose the concept of Learning among students, not as a
habit but as a lifestyle.

Fashion does not just exist, it lives. Yes, it is not what you wear,
it is just how you express it by giving life to it in the way of our
own creativity. Fashion is one of my great loves as I can really
express my own creativity. I enjoy making clothing designs
that one day will hopefully be available in stores all over.
Fashion designing in my opinion is a way to express the unique
side of my creativity, I can achievegreat heights if I stay
focused and continue putting forth effort in my creations.
As in todays life it is not only accepted for satisfying want or
demand of individual, it is a trend in image construction and
way to create , to reveal , to conceal information from the
external observers. It is a symbolism as another part of
delivering message of an individual attitude or lifestyle tries to
put into it.
MY SECRET PASSION
Everyone does have a passion for something in their life that inspires you in some
way.
I am also one of them and passionate about drawings that makes my mood
enthusiastic and feels relaxed.
I like drawing because drawing does not cost much and is always fun.
Drawing has been understood in different ways at different times and is difficult
to define where I love the quality of pencil. It helps me to get to the core of a thing.

PASSION TOWARDS FASHION
STUDENT CORNER
MY FASHION DESIGNING PASSION
When it comes to clothing and style it just comes easy one of the
easiest things I’m good at.
Fashion is an art form it allows me to express my view on style
anyway I choose. And to me I feel like nobody has the right to
judge that. Style hasn’t always come easy to be though just like
everything else it takes time and practice it’s still a work in
progress.
No matter how much I think my style has grown I’m only human
and will look back and probably wonder why I wore the outfit I’m
wearing sitting here writing this essay.

TIPS FOR DEVELOPING LEADERSHIP SKILLS
TIME MANAGEMENT
Time management refers to making the best possible use of time and doing the right thing at the right time. Managing time plays a very
important role as, we know the task which is given should be completed within stipulated time and also increases productivity of an
individual.
Why time management is important in corporates?
• Time management helps an individual-it is important for an employee to understand what is important and urgent at the
moment pick up all that is important at the start of the day and finish it off first before starting with something which can be done later
,allocate time slots to each activity which has to be done.
• Time management makes you an organised individual-one needs to keep things at their respective places. Avoid keeping files
on your desk it wastes half of your time in searching important document, files, folder so on.
• Time management makes an individual disciplined and punctual- you get a habit of reaching work on time as a result of
effective time management.
• Every organisation works on deadlines- it help individuals to finish work within the assigned time and stay stress free and
relaxed throughout the day.
CHESS
Chess is an indoor game and is one of the oldest game that has been played for
centuries. No exact origin is traced back but it is believed modern form of chess was
originated from Eastern India during Gupta Empire. It is a game of strategy and
planning where one players executes his best attacking and defense strategy to
dominate and take over his/her opponent. It is also referred to as Game of Royals as
in past Royal people use to play chess as a goodwill gesture. I was fascinated towards
chess from my early childhood days. I learnt chess from my father who used to teach
me the moves of various varieties of pawns. I happen to be the junior chess champion
in the year 2005 and senior chess champion in the year 2007 during my schooling
sports competition. So, chess has been always my favorite game till the date.
Chess is a relevant game for the students studying management. Chess can help to
enrich the creative thinking, psychological consciousness, strategy formulation,
prompt planning and decision making abilities. All in all, chess is a game having
blend of strategy, execution, tactics- attacking and/or defensive, corrective action and
goal attainment.

We think and talk about leadership and how to develop the leadership skills. Being a leader isn't easy, it requires hard work, sacrifice,
commitment and willingness to grow ourselves. Great leaders balance personal development and organisational development as both
are important and one without the other does not work.
10 Things Excellent Leader Do Consistently:
• Attend workshops- It helps in learning and gaining knowledge.
• Goal orientated- however they do it, great leaders set goals for the future.
• Develop others- excellent leaders help develop and challeng others
• Care about others- true leaders care about people they make time for them and they help others develop their true potential.
• Speak boldly- they are not afraid to speak their mind
• Think often-leadership requires thought and planning

For the upcoming academic year, the placement cell of Seshadripuram Institute of Management Studies has Data Analytics courses in
the pipeline for certification programs along with visits from numerous other organizations for recruitment drives. Keeping up the
mantra of “quality before quantity” the cell aims to render responsible corporate citizens to the society of the country.

Fashion is one of my great loves as I can really express my own creativity. I enjoy making clothing designs that one day will hopefully be available in stores all over. Fashion designing in my opinion is a way to express the unique side of my creativity, I can achievegreat heights if I stay focused and continue putting forth effort in my creations. As in todays life it is not only accepted for satisfying want or demand of individual, it is a trend in image construction and way to create , to reveal , to conceal information from the external observers. It is a symbolism as another part of delivering message of an individual attitude or lifestyle tries to put into it. MY SECRET PASSION Everyone does have a passion for something in their life that inspires you in some way. I am also one of them and passionate about drawings that makes my mood enthusiastic and feels relaxed. I like drawing because drawing does not cost much and is always fun. Drawing has been understood in different ways at different times and is difficult to define where I love the quality of pencil. It helps me to get to the core of a thing. "Drawing is not what one sees but what one can make others see." - Edgar Degas Lavanya. C 2nd Semester MBA PASSION TOWARDS FASHION STUDENT CORNER MY FASHION DESIGNING PASSION When it comes to clothing and style it just comes easy one of the easiest things I’m good at. Fashion is an art form it allows me to express my view on style anyway I choose. And to me I feel like nobody has the right to judge that. Style hasn’t always come easy to be though just like everything else it takes time and practice it’s still a work in progress. No matter how much I think my style has grown I’m only human and will look back and probably wonder why I wore the outfit I’m wearing sitting here writing this essay. CHESS Chess is an indoor game and is one of the oldest game that has been played for centuries. No exact origin is traced back but it is believed modern form of chess was originated from Eastern India during Gupta Empire. It is a game of strategy and planning where one players executes his best attacking and defense strategy to dominate and take over his/her opponent. It is also referred to as Game of Royals as in past Royal people use to play chess as a goodwill gesture. I was fascinated towards chess from my early childhood days. I learnt chess from my father who used to teach me the moves of various varieties of pawns. I happen to be the junior chess champion in the year 2005 and senior chess champion in the year 2007 during my schooling sports competition. So, chess has been always my favorite game till the date. Chess is a relevant game for the students studying management. Chess can help to enrich the creative thinking, psychological consciousness, strategy formulation, prompt planning and decision making abilities. All in all, chess is a game having blend of strategy, execution, tactics- attacking and/or defensive, corrective action and goal attainment.
