Constructivism In International Relations
In international relations, constructivism is regarded to be the starting point of the institutionalization
of values that leads to the development of collaborative behaviors within the international community.
Constructivism is based on the following core principles:
1. states are identified as main actors in the international system;
2. states are conceptualized as socially constructed entities;
3. states pursue different objectives and comply with different principles and norms, which affect and
exert influence on state behavior.
(Karen A. Mingst, Ivan M. Arreguin Toft. Essentials of International Relations. 5th edition.)
Social constructivism focuses principally on human awareness or consciousness and its place in the
world affairs. In accordance with constructivism, the international system is ... Show more content on

The social constructivist theory is another significant feature when arguing about the society and the
way it produces various views on the modern system as it expresses in its basic assumptions that the
natural world has a little and non existent role in the development of scientific knowledge.
Alexander Wendt is the most outstanding advocate of the social constructivism in the context of
international relations. Social constructivism is also expressed in the most important work of Wendt
named Social Theory of International Politics .
Another prominent name of a constructivist scholar is Martha Finnemore who is considered being a
prominent constructivist scholar of international relations and also considered a pioneer of

The Biology and Diversity of Extant Reptiles Essay
The Biology and Diversity of Extant Reptiles
The word reptile itself does not describe a monophyletic group of vertebrates, like the mammals or
birds. It is used to classify a polyphyletic group of animals that are a subset of the larger group of
Amniotes. The term is best described through a cladogram: [IMAGE]
The reptiles first appeared in the early Carboniferous, having evolved from labyrinthodont
amphibians. They had several distinct advantages over the amphibians that allowed them to flourish
during the cold, dry Permian period. These lead them to be the most successful group of vertebrates
and this period was referred to as the age of reptiles. They exploited all terrestrial niches, ... Show

Because of this reptiles were able withstand osmotic water loss and re invade the sea. The Chelonia
(turtles) have become the most prolific marine reptile and they also have an interesting skin that is
worth mentioning. The have a shell covering their body, made out of a horny layer attached to a denser
bony layer. It comes in two pieces, the carapace, for dorsal protection and the plastrom for ventral
protection. 2 Excretion. Reptiles have modified their excretory products to conserve water. Because
they do not have a complex enough kidney to produce urea they create uric acid, a large molecule that
has a very low water content. Although the water content is lower than urea the trade off is that the
molecule is expensive to make. Reptiles also reduce the water content of their faeces through active
removal of NaCl. This creates an osmotic gradient to draw water out and desiccate the excrement. The
excess NaCl is then excreted through the nose. 3 Creation of the cloaca. This is a cavity into which the
urinary, alimentary and genital ducts open. It has three sections, the coprodaeum where faeces collect
and enter, the urodeum where the ureter empties out and water is removed and finally the
proctodaeum, the collection point for uric acid and faeces. This centralisation of all the excretory
products allows for greater water retention as well as providing for the

The Genre Of Matthew 23
Matthew 23:1 12
#1 The Genre
The genre of Matthew, one of four Gospels and narrative.
#2 Generic or Intrinsic conception
The generic concept of Matthew 23:1 12 is that Jesus warns the crowds and disciples against Pharisees
and Scribes who do not practice what they teach, do not serve their people, but enjoy being exalted.
#3 Observations
Literary: o In Matthew 23:1 12, the literary feature I found is explanation/analysis, interchange, and
contrast. Jesus presents an idea, which is not doing what the Pharisees and Scribes are doing. He
explains this idea by providing examples of what they do in verses 5 7. The author also uses
interchange because the focus in verses 1 7 is on the Pharisees and the Scribes and what they do.
However, from verses 8 12, Jesus is focusing on the multitude and his ... Show more content on

I once heard that one of Christian member misunderstood verse 9 in this passage. He took it literally
and decided not to call his earthly father his father because everyone is a brother in Christ. He
believed that his true father is only the Father in heaven. However, this misinterpretation comes
because of the lack of cultural understanding. Father was used to recognize someone in a high title,
not a physical father. Another misinterpretation can be towards our spiritual leaders. Christians can
force spiritual leaders to humble themselves because they must serve their congregation first. Also,
heavier judgments and expectations can be made upon spiritual leaders because they are not to exalt
themselves.
A proper interpretation can come by looking through the historical and cultural lens. Jesus is not
teaching people to deny their physical parents or judge spiritual leaders. He is rebuking the
inconsistencies of the Pharisees and Scribes. They are being hypocrites, falsely leading his people.
Therefore, he is teaching the true teacher and a father, which is in

The Process Of Writing The Intervention Plan
During the process of writing the Intervention Plan I met with the client on a number of occasions.
During those times I observed the client participating in different activities to try and determine her
level of cognitive and physical function. I also spent time talking with her about activities she enjoyed
to include both current and past activities such as crafts, exercise and reading. Under the supervision
of the recreational therapist the following are activities that I performed with the client and how and
why I determined the activity I chose for her intervention plan. The client stated on several occasions
how important she thought exercise was and willingly participated in morning exercises and daily
walks. During the walks the client relied heavily on others to guide her due to her visual and cognitive
deficits. In my opinion she will not be independent functionally mobile and I feel there is nothing that
I can do to improve her current level of function leaving me to the conclusion that activity would not
work for an intervention plan. During morning exercises the client was able to perform all exercises
correctly and was very motivated however, on a regular basis the client would ask if she was doing
them correctly. I noticed during another activity she would also ask if she was doing it correctly.
Taking into account her concern for how she performed I planned on asking her to assist me in leading
morning activities, the idea being to re enforce a positive

Education In Richard Rodriguez s The Hunger Of Memory
Education in the world today is almost a necessity to obtaining a well paying job and a decent
standard of living. The entire population is surrounded by millions of creations well educated people
made or thought of by themselves. In the excerpt from The Hunger of Memory by Richard Rodriguez
and the essay Superman and Me by Sherman Alexie, education majorly influenced the outcomes of
the authors lives. Common themes found throughout the writings are upbringings from ethnic
backgrounds and being taught with the American education system. Education is extremely influential
in how successful people become in the world. At first glance, these pieces of literature seem similar,
but they have many differing viewpoints on how truly powerful education can be on the life of an
individual. Whether having a positive or negative impact on a life or lives, knowledge can lead a
person to a truly successful route in his or her journey. Having a proper education is essential. In the
excerpt from The Hunger of Memory, Rodriguez discusses how he became assimilated to the
American education system. He was brought about in a Spanish speaking home and taught English at
the age of six. Rodriguez explains his feelings of no longer having a connection to his parents, who
were immigrants, and his Mexican culture, in which he claims is because of the rapid change to
speaking English and being taught the American way. The author states, The name I carry from my

ABSTRACT: Diamond Foods is America s largest walnut processor specializing in processing,
marketing, and distributing nuts and snack products. This real world case presents financial reporting
issues around the commodities cost shifting strategy used by Diamond s management to falsify
earnings. By delaying the recognition of a portion of the cost of walnuts acquired into later accounting
periods, Diamond Foods materially underreported the cost of sales and overstated earnings in fiscal

JumpSport BigTop Trampoline Tent
JumpSport is a reputable trampoline company, making a lot of different equipment and accessories.
The BigTop tent is brightly colored and designed to resemble a circus tent. Although it is made to fit
their line of JumpSport safety enclosures, it will fit most round trampolines that are between 12 and 14
feet in diameter that has upright safety net poles. Due to its flexible installation system, it would
probably fit a trampoline that falls a little short of the recommended sizes, but you should check
before ordering. It comes with a door and three windows, complete with noseeum screen mesh. The
center is 5 1/2 feet high, and works with a bungee type cord so jumping is not restricted. The width ...

Judging the setup of this tent, it appears to hold up to that promise. Even if the material fails or
someone falls through, the safety net will not be affected in anyway. There s no parts to come loose or
break.
The ease of set up is another thing that this tent has going for it. It attaches to the top and bottom of
the safety poles using straps. The retractable ceiling is assembled by a cable that attaches to two points
on either side, pulling it into a pointed shape and providing plenty of jump height. One person can
completely install it in less than 30 minutes. With four sided ventilation, it shouldn t heat up as much
inside as tents with fewer openings.
It s disappointing that the material isn t 100% weatherproof, but it s limited water resistant material
dries quickly. You probably can t expect it to last years installed outdoors, but should hold up fine for
a season or two. As easy as it is to install, taking it down during storms wouldn t be a huge problem
and would prolong the life. The material is double stitched, a clear indication of quality

I have investigated that if there is an effect of bile salts on the digestion of lipids in the milk. When
lipids are broken down in to fatty acids and glycerol (see below), the acid lowers the pH of the
mixture. To help me determine and measure the digestion of lipids, a pH indicator phenolphthalein has
been used to measure the pH of the mixtures. The pH indicator will change the colour from pink to
either white (if bile is not contained) or brown (if bile is contained), this will indicate that the solution
is changing from alkaline to acidic. So if I want to use phenolphthalein, I will have to firstly make the
mixtures alkaline. This will be achieved by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Text dependent speaker recognition follows the technique of detecting speakers based on the text. i.e
all the speakers will be saying the same thing and the goal
2
is to distinguish the speakers. Text dependent speaker recognition was chosen because a lot of the
access based security systems use speech as a way of blocking unwanted individuals. The main goal
was to increase the accuracy of the text dependent speaker recognition performance. Now a days there
is a lot of talk going about creating hardware modules which can take care of recognition of speech or
face or other patterns as iris recognition and the list goes on. The primary reason behind this is the fact
that we all want to automate things like speech recognition, which reduces manpower in many areas
and also because of the vastness of data available these days, it is humanely impossible to recognize
patterns within these data‟s. Speech is more of a behavioral part of the human being as it deals with
the vocal tract of a human being. The reason behind going for algorithms like MFCC ,GMM is the
fact that they are very popular and

Pollution In Air Pollution
Demolition and Construction sites are bad when it comes to the control of particulates causing an
increase in air pollution. The particulates can be emitted by the process of knocking down or
disturbing the building letting the particulate free and get into the air reducing the quality. If the
workers do not manage what they are doing correctly, it can have harmful impacts on not only their
health but the communities and the environment. At times enforcing the laws and good practice can be
expensive and very disruptive. The legislation includes things like Identifying activities that create
pollution, Environmental risk assessment, selecting low emission materials and getting the right
training and using the proper methods. But what is classified as particulates and what are they? They
can be very broad but things such as Dust and asbestos from knocking buildings down that can float
away causing harm to the environment, and people s health, motor vehicle emissions and smoke from
power tools also can have a significant impact.
There are many ways in which emissions can be controlled including things such as Demolition
workers can Water down the building as they are knocking it down to weigh down the particulates.
Using the water to weigh down particualtes can be harmfull, as if the workers use to much water to
weigh down this particualtes it can cause run off. This run off can end up in the river sytems and throw
this way the particualtes can polute and cause harm to the enviroment and the animals in th eater.
Workers can also time it to the wind, i.e. on windy days don t do work that will cause a lot of
particulates to float around. They can even be aware of the environment in which they are working in
and know the restrictions and the history s (mainly for older homes) of other houses to get a broader
idea if the particulates cause more harm than a newer house might. For things such as Sanding,
grinding and welding the workers can also use water to weigh down the particulates or use a type of
grad method to trap the particulates. There are many more methods to different kinds of activities that
may occur, but they are all mainly using the same type of techniques.
But on the other hand, implementing these

Descriptive Essay On Getting A Dog
One of my favorite memories I have is getting my dog, Daisy. Even though I had two dogs before this
dog was special. It was a lot of work to get her and it made me more appreciate that I actually got a
dog.
My step sister Mia and I were asking for a dog for a long time. We would always watch The Animal
Channel show about dogs or vet, and it would make us think about how much we wanted a dog. Both
of us had dogs before, but we did not have one anymore, we either got rid of them or they were with
our other parent we didn t live with. So we would keep asking my dad over and over and bribe him by
saying we would clean the house and clean and take care of the dog. One day before my sisters dance
recital Mia and I were in the middle of watching TV when we saw an ad for a free dog we ran outside
and begged for a dog. So he said he would think about it if we all could behave and keep the house
clean. So we worked our hardest to keep the house clean, from cleaning my little brother s bedroom to
cleaning both bathrooms. He lived up to his promise and started looking at dogs on Facebook we
found one that was close by in Norwich and we were so excited when we found out that we were
going to meet him after my brothers game. We were so excited at the game that we walked around to
pass the time we sat on the dock at the park next to the field and were so excited we thought looking
in the river would help pass time but it really made it go by slower. When we got in the car after the

How Jesus Christ Fulfilled The Covenants God Made With...
Introduction
Throughout the history of the world, God has been working to bring humanity back to him. Due to the
loss of constant communion in the fall, God set forth multiple promises to eventually establish his
eternal Kingdom, the New Testament, is the culmination of these promises. The Gospels are the most
specific in how Jesus Christ fulfilled the covenants God made with Abraham and David. More
importantly he is the fulfillment of the new covenant, which washes away sin and brings humanity
back into communion with God. What is modeled in the Gospels is reaffirmed in Acts, by the way the
church is to function according to the culmination of the Covenants. Acts begins to reveal the great
mystery that is the inclusion of the Gentiles in God s covenant. Paul s Epistles take the culmination a
step further and defend the idea that the fulfillment of God s covenants does not just affect the people
of Israel, but the Gentiles as well. The General epistles teach that the people are no longer bound by
the mosaic covenant since the New Covenant was fulfilled via Jesus Christ. Yet practice of the law is
still an important factor of the Christian life style even if superseded by the New Covenant. Revelation
shows that covenants are leading up to the lord s victory and salvation of his people. The sins of the
Jews and Gentiles are washed away by Jesus the blood of the lamb so in reality the battle is already
won because of the New Covenants fulfillment in Jesus. It is clear from

50 Years With Bigfoot Essay

by the evidence, that the Bigfoot was a human like being. This led me to explore the possibility that
the Bigfoot had a complete mastery of more than one language, along with a unique language of its
own.
Performing extensive research, I located and listened to any recording I could locate of a Bigfoot
speaking. Mary Green s book 50 Years with Bigfoot: Tennessee Chronicles of Co Existence was also
used as a reference. Mary had compiled a dictionary of Bigfoot words, along with phrases based on a

Though Janice still lived on the property her Grandfather had owned, the house was in disrepair and

structurally unsound, so they carefully made their way into the attic. Mary located the trunk with
Janice s assistance. Once the trunk was located, Mary opened the trunk to find the notebook
containing the Bigfoot Dictionary. This convinced Mary of the authenticity of the notebook, and that
Janice was telling the truth about her experiences. Mary took the notebook. She researched the words
and phrases contained in the notebook. Mary discovered that most of the words documented in the
notebook were Cheyenne. There were also some Cherokee words.
Another example of Bigfoot language comes from recordings I have received from reliable first hand
witnesses that lived in Texas. One recording actually had the Bigfoot chanting. The recordings from
Texas contained a mixture of languages to include: Native American, Hebrew, English, and Spanish.
Recordings from a trusted source in Alabama revealed the Bigfoot using a mixture of Spanish and

Embm History
In order to understand Evidence Based Medicine, or EBM, a brief history of its origins will be
beneficial. According to Claridge and Fabian (2005), one of the earliest examples of EBM is found in
the biblical book of Daniel. Regardless of religious affiliation, this story or anecdote provides an
excellent example of a controlled study, which is one of the foundations of EBM. In this story, Daniel
and his three friends Azariah, Mishael, and Hananiah, refuse to eat the food provided to them by their
king. Since starvation was not an option, they proposed to their steward (who was set over them) to
test them for ten days by only giving them vegetables and water for their consumption. Then they,
Daniel and his three friends, would be compared to the other young men who had consumed the food
provided to them by the king. Daniel and his friends agreed that they would then submit to the
direction and wisdom of the steward, after he was able to evaluate both groups. The end result of the
experiment was that Daniel and his friends were noticeably healthier than their counterparts who had
eaten of the king s food (Claridge, Fabian, 2005, p. 548). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An excellent example of this is the now obsolete practice of bloodletting. It is believed that ancient
humans did not understand the true nature of disease as modern scientists and medical practitioners do
today. Indeed, many seemed to only understand disease as a form of demonic possession of the victim.
Therefore, the logic employed in treatment consisted of trying to let the demon out of the body by
creating lacerations, or bloodletting, by which the demon could evacuate from the body (Claridge,

Mountain uplift is known to greatly enhance rates of physical erosion and chemical weathering

The carbonate weathering involved in the downdraw of CO2 (Wcarb CO2) is inversely correlated to
the silicate weathering involved in the downdraw of CO2 (Wsil co2).
Carbonate Ca Mg weathering is 5.8 times greater in exposed to uplifting to stable landscapes, with
silicate Ca Mg weathering have less prevalence at 3.7 times greater respectably.
Wsil co2 is 5.6 times lower than Wcarb CO2 on the uplifting area.
Therefore in summary Chemical weathering and mechanical erosion rates are statically different

Pinto Recall Case Study
Why the Pinto should not be recalled.
Introduction
In this paper the reader will be presented with arguments for to stop the recall of all Ford Motor
Company Pintos created up to this point. I am going to talk about a few different topics ranging from
why it is going to save the company money over recalling the vehicles in question. The reader will be
presented with the ethics that are behind my decision to prevent the recall from going through. The
math can look complicated but when you break it down it is simple here is a quote from the movie
Fight Club .
A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up.
The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? ... Show

The Competition
For many years the automotive industry was seen as a corner stone of the American economy with
The Big Three (Us, General Motors and, Chrysler) running the show, but starting in the 1960 s it was
starting to face more and more competition from around the world. This was action by the foreign
auto makers is starting to take a chunk out of Fords profits. This was making it so coroners needed to
be cut in order to jump in front of the competition. The Profit needed to be protected ground cannot be
lost in any aspect of the automotive industry.
Pinto Production
Under current Ford leadership the production cycle was cut down from 43 months to 25 months. This
would be the gap closer needed in order to keep up profits. This led to some design oversights in
placement of components like the gas tank. In the 1971 Ford Pinto the gas tank was located directly
behind the bumper of the car . By the time Ford had discovered the flaw in the gas tank placement the
equipment was already created and now they were stuck with what was originally set up. The Pinto
was designed around the 2000 pounds and under $2000

What Is The Theme Of Alienation In Brave New World
It is not uncommon for someone to experience being cut off from their home ; you are cut off when
you go to college, the military, move, study abroad, etc. However, in these situations people tend to
adapt, but imagine going somewhere where everything is different; the way people eat, socialize,
sleep, have relationships, everything changes. Some people could say this is similar to moving into
another country where the culture and language is different. In situations where everything you ve
come accustomed to changes, you can feel like you don t belong. However, immersing yourself in a
completely different lifestyle can also be enlightening. For John leaving his home meant everything
was changing, but because his exile, he is not only alienated but enriched with completely different
outlooks on life. In the novel Brave New World, Aldous Huxley uses imagery to develop John s
experience and to show that exile brings both alienation and enlightenment in order to illustrate the
theme of happiness is not worth individualism.
Alex Huxley contrasts John s home and the Ford society in order to show that exile can bring
alienation. Prior to John being cut off from his home, two members of the Ford society visit. Huxley
uses imagery to contrast John s birthplace to the part of society that follows the Ford way. When
Lenina and Bernard visit the reservation where John was born, Alex Huxley says The place was queer,
so was the music, so were the clothes and the goitres and the skin

Mulvey s Gaze
From a cinematography perspective, elements of Mulvey s essay persist throughout the film,
specifically, the idea of the male gaze upon females who are meant to be looked at. However, in line
with the homosexual themes in Carol, this gaze is manipulated to be a female to female gaze. On their
quest for a Christmas tree, Therese s gazes are followed by broken down, close up shots of Carol s
gloved hands on the steering wheel and red lips as she smile back at Therese. Then from the car,
Therese photographs Carol without her knowledge, the ultimate form of Mulvey s scopophilia, or

Kangxi vs. Louis Xiv- Absolutism Essay examples
Kangxi vs. Louis XIV Absolutism Absolute monarchy or absolutism means that the sovereign power
or ultimate authority in the state rested in the hands of a king who claimed to rule by divine right.
Kangxi and Louis XIV were both shining examples for absolutist rule. Age of Absolutism was
between 1610 and 1789. Absolutism is a term used to depict a type of monarchical power that was not
at all restrained by institutions, for example, legislatures, social elites, or churches. Both Kangxi and
Louis X1V were absolute monarchs associated with the coming to power of professional
bureaucracies, professional standing armies, and the coding of state laws. They possessed ideologies

after his father s death. His rule consisted of at least 61 years from 1661 to 1722, making him the
longest reigning emperor in Chinese history. When Kangxi was eight, he ascended the throne. As a
child, Kangxi was very talented in literature and he worked diligently. Since he was too young, his
father hired four ministers to assist him with the administration of the country. Ao Bai was the name of
one of them who furtively assigned his own henchmen to oppose the young emperor. As Kangxi

The Cross And The Switchblade By David Wilkerson
In his book, The Cross and the Switchblade, David Wilkerson explains how his ministry started. Over
15 million people have read his book which was published in 1962 through The Berkley Publishing
Group, and in 1969, his book became a Hollywood motion picture that reached over 50 million
people. Wilkerson did not stop at this book. In fact, he continued to write over 30 more books.
(Worldchallenge.org, 2014, pg. 1) With that said, The Cross and the Switchblade s thesis statement is
that the Holy Spirit is in charge. David Wilkerson, a country preacher from Pennsylvania, is the
founder of Teen Challenge. This organization started in 1958 and still runs today as a ministry to save
those with habits that are life controlling. Teen Challenge has become one of the most effective ways
to reach out to teenagers and young adults who are dealing with issues related to gangs, drugs, and
alcohol. However, the road to success was very challenging for Wilkerson and his team.
(Worldchallenge.org, 2014, pg. 1) Anyone who picks up The Cross and the Switchblade is Wilkerson s
potential audience. He wrote this book in order to share his journey of starting the ministry that we
now call Teen Challenge. Most likely, Pentecostals will read this story. Even so, this book can also be
an instrument in salvation for others. I believe that Wilkerson understood both of these statements and,
thus, wrote his book in such a way to minister to all peoples. An emphasis is placed on the Holy Spirit

This allowed Lego to better serve customers by enhancing their overtaxed order management and

At first glance many would discount the idea that Lego deployed a strategy of hyper competition.
However, when we consider some of the characteristics of hyper competition, such as profit
maximization, emphasis on customer satisfaction, and the ability to dynamically adjust allocation of
organizational resources, we see that Lego did adopt a hypercompetitive strategy.
4. What advise would you give Knudstorp to keep Lego competitive, growing and relevant?
I think Knudstorp did an amazing job with coming into Lego and taking a failing business to a
successful one by building a block style work environment. He made standards which the employees
were to follow which allowed them more creative freedom and incentives to want to improve upon the
great quality of their products. One suggestion I would give Knudstorp would be to spend more time

company and how it would fit in best with Lego. Mattel is Lego s biggest competition in the market

The Transforming Vision By Brian Walsh And Richard Middleton
The Transforming Vision, written by Brian Walsh and Richard Middleton, yearn for a change in the
way Christianity is viewed. According to the authors, science, technology and economic growth is
what shapes our society, while Christianity stands in the sidelines. The authors aspire to see a change
in Christianity where it may receive social and cultural embodiment. In the first chapters, Walsh and
Middleton explore the reason behind why Christianity of North Americans is so disembodied
compared to others. In addition, Transforming Vision explores the different types of worldviews
compared to a Christian worldview, or biblical view. Furthermore, it discusses how the different type
of world views affects us and if there is any worldview better than another. Chapter 1, World View and
Culture, begins with Anthony s story and how his decision had different responses. After Anthony
became a Christian and grew as a person, he made the decision of leaving his girlfriend when he
realized he did not love her. According to his family, loyalty is one of the greatest of moral duties,
therefore, viewed Anthony s decision as an unpardonable sin. However, in a Christian s perspective
his actions were honest and caring. Each side had a different point of view. World views are described
in the book as perceptual frameworks and not systems of thought like theologies or philosophies. Two
examples are then given to understand how certain cultures view situations, like child rearing

Immediate vs. Delayed Breast Reconstruction Surgery Near Brickell
You may be given the option to begin your breast reconstruction regimen during the same surgical
session as your mastectomy. The benefit of immediate breast reconstruction surgery is that the breast
skin is typically preserved, which usually produces nicer results. In addition, women wake up after
their mastectomy with a breast mound. Although the first step of a breast reconstruction is often the
most substantial, numerous steps are necessary to attain the final breast shape.
Delayed breast reconstruction begins at some point after the mastectomy. A delayed reconstruction
may be a better option for some women.
A woman may choose to delay her reconstruction procedure if:
She does not want to deal with having breast reconstruction surgery while she copes with treating the
breast cancer. She has other health problems and issues that need to be addressed prior to her
reconstruction. For example, if she smokes, she needs to stop smoking no less than 2 months before
her breast reconstruction surgery. Smoking inhibits the body s ability to heal itself. She needs to have
radiation therapy. Radiation can cause

However, look at how the text describes his creations. The previous lines make use of words like
mockery, depraved, monstrous, and evil to describe Rappaccini s experimental and deadly garden.
These words are all negative in design and by ascribing them to Rappaccini s status of a mortal man
compared to a powerful God, a full picture concerning the two entities is painted for the readers. The
text, due to this word choice, suggests that Rappaccini, cannot recreate the work of God or become a
god himself because he is just a man filled with mockery and mockery. As a mortal person,
Rappaccini cannot fully be God and it is his attempt to play God through his experimentation and
meddling that makes him a large and monstrous threat to those around him; within the story, it is his
God complex in the end that costs him a place amongst normal reality and costs him his own daughter.
From this, one can only make interpretations based on the powers of mortals in comparison to the
powers of God. From the negative adjectives used to describe Rappaccini s experimentation and
garden, readers can interpret that God s power is unreachable and pure compared to those of man.
Those who attempt to mock or mimic the power of God are considered

Age-Distributed Stages Of Art Development
Anyone who spends time with children knows they draw all the time. On paper, on tables, on
themselves; children constantly explore their world through mark making and scribbling. Children can
use art to help them develop other cognitive skills such as writing or anger management; and although
every child progresses differently, this paper discusses the possibility of universal, age correlated
stages of art development.
Perhaps the most notable analysis in the stages of development comes from the work of Marcia

hypothesized that children use writing and drawing as a tool for thinking, organizing ideas, and

Robyn Holmes conducted a study in order to discover if children s artwork could reveal their
knowledge of nonverbal communication and social distance (Holmes, 1992, p. 157). The researchers
asked 32 middle class children (half were 5 years old, half were 11) to draw two separate pictures: one
with themselves and a stranger, one of themselves and a friend. The researchers hypothesized that
children would draw strangers further away from themselves than friends, and that older children
would draw the stranger farther apart than young children. The researchers measured distance between
the figures in centimeters from the eye line of one face to the eyeline of the other face. The results
indicated that younger children drew strangers farther apart than older children and that while younger
girls and boys drew strangers the same distance apart, girls drew themselves closer to their friends
(Holmes, 1992, p. 160). However, contrary to the hypothesis, older children drew themselves closer to
a stranger than younger children. Perhaps because parents and teachers continually warn young
children about stranger danger. The study concluded that children realize that strangers should stand
further apart than friends, and that factors of familiarity and age affect the children s expression of
nonverbal communication, supporting the hypothesis

This report analyses the whole process which is followed in order to make a personal decision related
with the buy a hatchback for city driving: from the identification and structuring of the problem to the
appraisal of the alternative solution (French et all, 2009,pp 81).
As it happens in any imminent decision regarding a purchase, an assiduous market research is
required. The brochures of the major automobile companies and the car web sites constitute the main
information source which will be used for the designation of the criteria and the elicitation of their
values. Due to the fact that the criteria which are taken into consideration are more than two, Multiple
Criteria Decision Analysis(MCDA) will be applied. The MCDA is supported by the use of the IDS
software. The data and its calculation as well as any output of IDS tool, are presented explicitly in the
respective appendices.
2. Methodology
As it is referred above, the objective of this problem is to take a decision concerning the purchase of a
new city car. For this reason, the article Best city cars from the website carbuyer.co.uk (2014) is very
helpful as it provides the best ten city cars among which the final decision will be made. All these city
cars (alternatives) are available in different versions. Due to the limited budget (9000pounds) the
decision making is focused on the economical model, widely well known as S trim level. In this
selection problem the car

Rebel Engagement Examples
Alternative Available Sources of Funding and Support Determine Rebel Engagement Understanding
the relationship between state and society pre conflict crucial in determining how rebel groups decide
on their level of engagement with civilians. If the RCD and M23 act as quasi state(s) in somewhere
like the eastern Congo, we must again look at the relationship between state and society before the
conflict began. Young (2004) notes that the Congolese state during the colonial period had a strategy
on revenue accumulation based around the manipulation of elites rather than a all encompassing
integration of the population into state institutions. This strategy expedited the extraction of mineral
and natural resources, while opposing figures were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Keller (1997) discusses how internal civil wars rely on military support and arms from across borders.
Analysts have long highlighted the relevance of transboundary formations that link global regional,
national, and local forces through structures, networks, and discourses that have wide ranging impact,
both benign and malign (Callaghy, Kassimir Latham 2001: 5). Non state actors are able to consolidate
their power through their interactions with the international and regional community (Bayart 1993).
Mampilly (2011) argues that it is crucial to consider the impact of transnational actors on the behavior
of rebel groups as it relates to civilian governance. These relations can bolster non state actors,
including armed groups (Guyer 1994; Ferguson Gupta 2002). Zahar even argues that because
insurgents view themselves as independent political entities, they work to legitimize themselves by
interacting with transnational actors (2001: 60). Mampilly comments that transnational actors support
rebel groups by providing them with resources that influence their ability and will to deal with civilian
governance (2011: 89). Rebel groups incorporate these transnational actors into their governance
systems in order to supplant or supplement their dependence on civilian support, and therefore, their
own capacity to provide civilians with goods. And so in general, it is feasible to assume that help
drawn from other states will have a damaging effect on civilian governance

Lil Wayne Interview
Lil Wayne is the epitome of outspoken. Unlike other musicians who remain tight lipped to avoid
controversy, Weezy speaks his mind. This has led to some interesting (to say the least) exchanges
during interviews with the star. Here, we present our list of the seven most outrageous things Lil
Wayne has said during interviews. Ready for the madness? Check it out for yourself below! Number
Seven: Lil Wayne on His Love for Jay Last year, Weezy did an interview with Wild Wayne, a New
Orleans radio personality. In the interview, he revealed that he still gets excited when Jay Z texts him.
He said, Just getting personal texts and not just little texts about Yeah, there was a song I heard. I saw
what you said that s cool. Thanks. Getting real texts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He said that he listened to sports radio all day, but it wasn t because he couldn t listen to music. He
said, All I listen to all day, if I am listening to anything, is sports. And that ain t because of nothing,
just the simple fact that I ve never listened to anyone else s music but my own, and since I m not able
to do that up in here, I don t listen to anything. Number Two: On Doing What He Wants This Weezy
gem is one for the books. During his infamous interview with Katie Couric before the 2009 Grammy
Awards, Lil Wayne was asked what a gangsta is. He responded, I don t take nothin from no one. I do
what I wanna do. And I m gonna do that until the day I die. And if I can t do that, then I ll just die.
Number One: On Aging Weezy did an interview with Rolling Stone in 2015, and during the interview,
he discussed his daughter and how his age has created a sort of communication barrier between them.
He said, Sometimes I don t know what the hell [young people] are talking about on Instagram. I had to
call [my daughter Reginae], like, What the hell is on fleek ? We feel you, Lil Wayne. Thanks for

Negative Effects Of School Lunches
School lunch is an important meal for kids that go to school everyday, but many people wonder about
the actual benefits of school lunch provided to kids. School lunch is meant to provide kids the energy
to push through the rest of the day and continue to work hard mentally. School lunch is meant to fill a
kid s empty stomach if they missed breakfast or are just hungry. Kids are always advised to eat healthy
and get all of their necessary nutrients everyday. Most kids don t often get their necessary nutrients at
school though, especially because of the choices provided to them by their schools. In some cases,
kids can t afford to bring their own lunch from home because of financial reasons. This can also relate
back to CPS and their own ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You may need to just put a little salt on something, they ll eat it (Mecia 1). I agree with that statement
so much because kids nowadays are likely to eat something sugary and salty rather than something
with less favor, like vegetables. I think this is a major problem in school lunches, especially with all
the the repetitive food choices and its nutrition values. You can t force picky eaters to consume food
they find unappealing (Mecia 1). I think a possible solution to helping kids to eat school lunches is to
provide balanced foods to them with maybe a little salt to encourage them to eat it. For everyone,
there is always a risk in what they eat. For kids, it s what is in their school lunches. There has been
many incidents in the past with school lunches. In 1996, bacteria in spaghetti served at five schools in
Sacramento, California, made 400 children sick (Abc News 1). In 1998, 1,200 students in seven states
became ill after eating burritos from a plant in Chicago (Abc News 1). Those infected kids had no idea
what they were being served at their own school. This is something most kids and even parents do not
think about. It can all be very concerning because no one is questioning what is actually in the school
lunches. The food inspection may not be enough. There can always be something that they missed.
For most people, food is a requirement to fulfill most

Needle Therapy Research Paper
Acupuncture is a customary medicine that has been practiced in China and other Asian nations for a
large number of years. Its defenders say it can do everything from mitigating pain to bringing a
general feeling of wellbeing. Others think the main advantage expected from needle therapy is in one s

chronic pain. Be that as it may, how it works is something of a mystery. Needle therapy, an alternative

Liberty Was Not Absolute For Anyone In The Beginning Stages
Liberty was not absolute for anyone in the beginning stages of America. An anonymous author wrote,
God gave mankind freedom by nature and made every man equal to his neighbor. Unfortunately, for
the African American slaves, women and the Native Americans, freedom was hard to obtain until the
American Revolution changed the principals of independence.
African Americans have an extraordinary past that includes the lifestyles before slavery, during
slavery, and the beginning of the abolition and petitions which lead to their freedom. Many people are
unaware of the African American lifestyle before slavery took place. Much like the Europeans,
African Americans lived similar lifestyles with homes and families, rich and poor classes, enjoyed ...

The new independence talks about having freedom and unfree labor but that s not the case for African
Americans. The abolition and emancipation was a slow process because veterans of the war were
promised 300 acres of land and a slave. This made the process difficult for whites to accept the fact
that if the slaves were granted freedom, they would possibly have their land taken as well as their
slaves. Another possible cause for the slow start of slave freedom is that all the founding fathers
owned slaves which then made people think that it s okay to own slaves as well. Slaves began to run
away from their masters to British lines and would try to pass as freeborn. General Henry Clinton
offered sanctuary to any slave that escaped to British lines. Soon, Northern states and the upper parts
of the south began emancipation of slaves. Free communities started to emerge which led to families,
schools, churches and leaders to grow and live. Finally, African Americans had their freedom back and
began to start a community.
Women before the American Revolution were viewed as weak, less important and not as intelligent as
men. The rights and freedom of women were nonexistent; women couldn t vote, own property, sign
contracts and/or wills or divorce their husbands. The man of the family had total power and authority
over their wives and children. The common role for a woman was to cook, clean, sew, take care of the
family garden and care

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Black Money
In an attempt to reduce black money, Prime minister Narendra Modi has withdrawn two major
currency denominations Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes. This change has resulted in a boost in digital
means of transactions. At the same time there are a lot more ramifications for the larger public.
OBJECTIVES
Stop cash funded terrorism.
Reforms:Banking sector needs.
Curb black money.
Move towards cashless economy.
Other than the expected results, few interesting changes has occurred due to this initiative. Like, barter
system is making a comeback in rural India with the demonetization drive. According to the Wall
Street Journal a trader in Orissa gave a kilo of potatoes and cauliflower in exchange for half a kilo of
honey. Another interesting observation was people selling their old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes on eBay
and OLX. You ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Within 7 days of of announcement of demonetization, Paytm has witnessed over 7 million transactions
worth Rs 120 crore a day.
DISADVANTAGES
The biggest disadvantage of demonetization is the chaos among public since everybody wants to get
rid of demonetized notes.
Removing the old currency from the economy and printing new ones enough to replace the old ones
is an expensive process, to be funded by the government. If the benefit derived by demonetization is
not enough to put off this cost, it will end up giving negative results.
Another problem is that majority of times this move is targeted towards black money but if people
have not kept cash as their black money and rotated or used that money in other asset classes like real
estate, gold and so on then there is no guarantee that demonetization will help in catching corrupt
people.
Despite the efforts taken, black money is already back in the economy in the form of new
currencies. So the long term benefits that we are aiming for may not actually be achieved by this

130,000 stationed on Okinawa. (2. Battle of Okinawa. History.com) The bloodshed from these two
battles gave the Americans a taste of the militaristic Japanese, and that a battle for the homeland of
Japan would be astronomically worse. The Japanese were prepared to use any means necessary to stop
the Americans because of Yamato Damashii , which was a virtue of the samurai that went hand in
hand with the Bushido code, and it made the Japanese value the country and the emperor above all
else, and that fighting to the death was greater than surrender. and it came in the form of Kamikaze
attacks, suicide troops, and guerilla warfare. At Okinawa, 193 kamikaze attacks were launched at the
Americans damaging 368 ships and destroying 36. (3. The Battle of Okinawa. History Learning Site)
The Japanese were prepared to sacrifice everything they had to destroy American ships and troops.

Columbine, By Brian Cullen
The beginning of the nonfiction, Columbine by Dave Cullen, takes place four days before the
Columbine massacre at Columbine High School s assembly in Littleton, Colorado, just before the
weekend of Prom. Ironically, Principal DeAngelis, the one who had hosted the school assembly,
provides a lecture of everyone coming back alive and safe after prom. Soon after, on April 20, 1999,
Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold arrived at Columbine High School with two bombs based on portable
propane bottles, decoy bombs in their cars and across town, and dozens of small pipe bombs, along
with guns and ammunition. Their original and only plan was to shoot anyone and everyone who
escapes from the building after the bombs detonated, and they had expected to be shot to death by
police; however, their plans partly failed when the bombs planted inside the school did not go off.
Although their plan of distraction did not succeed as expected, Harris and Klebold entered the school
and began shooting and firing pipe bombs for a little over fifteen minutes. Afterwards, after roaming
the school for a short amount of time, they returned to the library where most of their victims had
died, set off one final bomb, and committed suicide by shooting themselves. Although their bombing
failed, the ensued shooting resulted in a new era of school violence and had left a lasting impression
on the world. However, by the end of the day, the horrifying incident was falsely blamed on bullying,

Graham Crackers
No matter the time of year, it s always the right time for the classic campfire dessert called s mores. S
more have remained a staple of trips to campgrounds in Canton, TX, and beyond because the
combination of a gooey hot marshmallow melting the perfect piece of chocolate while sandwiched
between crispy sweet layers of graham crackers makes your mouth water in anticipation. How could
such perfection possibly need improvement? Maybe s mores don t need improving but a little
experimenting won t hurt, right? Each of the three ingredients can be tweaked, substituted, or changed
in ways both big and small. Try one of two or these fun ideas and then decide whether you ve
discovered a new classic! Graham crackers Basically, anything crispy, flat, and big enough to handle

As one of the strongest flavors in s mores, the type and flavor and quality of the chocolate you choose

nut butters, hazelnut spread, roasted berries, and jalapeno jelly would make your taste buds sing when
paired with toasted marshmallows. Marshmallows While the standard white marshmallow will likely
always remain the easy and terrific choice, the more adventurous can always choose flavored
marshmallows or even to make them from scratch. Imagine yourself biting into a s more made from

Sexism In Sports Essay
Not long ago I went to my Parkway South Hockey game and prepared to play like I have for the past
four years. This game was no different. I knew that I would be harrassed by the other team the same
way i have been since freshman year. At this point i dread going to games because of the comments
the opposing team and their fan section yells at me. I ve learned to deal with it because of the love i
have for my sport, but it still is painful to hear in 2017. The discrimination and stereotyping of women
playing certain types of sports has become a problem much larger than anyone would think. Sexism in
sports is a minoritized mindset throughout the world; even though women are practicing the exact
same thing as men, they are still seen as a lesser player based on their gender. Sexsim is spreading like
an epidemic to countries around the world, killing many dreams of young women in the world of
sports especially. According to the organization, Women in Sport, Only 43% of girls say they have the
same choice as boys at school in sport and exercise; and amongst secondary school age children, being
sporty is still widely seen as a masculine trait. Girls are given the perception that it s not okay to be
sporty because it s a male trait. More than a single sport (hockey) has inequality between genders.
There are statistics in this research that proves that girls playing sports is looked down on. This causes
a female athlete to think negatively about herself and the choices in

  • 2. Constructivism In International Relations In international relations, constructivism is regarded to be the starting point of the institutionalization of values that leads to the development of collaborative behaviors within the international community. Constructivism is based on the following core principles: 1. states are identified as main actors in the international system; 2. states are conceptualized as socially constructed entities; 3. states pursue different objectives and comply with different principles and norms, which affect and exert influence on state behavior. (Karen A. Mingst, Ivan M. Arreguin Toft. Essentials of International Relations. 5th edition.) Social constructivism focuses principally on human awareness or consciousness and its place in the world affairs. In accordance with constructivism, the international system is ... The social constructivist theory is another significant feature when arguing about the society and the way it produces various views on the modern system as it expresses in its basic assumptions that the natural world has a little and non existent role in the development of scientific knowledge. Alexander Wendt is the most outstanding advocate of the social constructivism in the context of international relations. Social constructivism is also expressed in the most important work of Wendt named Social Theory of International Politics . Another prominent name of a constructivist scholar is Martha Finnemore who is considered being a prominent constructivist scholar of international relations and also considered a pioneer of constructivism through her work called National Interests in International Society and The Purpose of ... • 3. The Biology and Diversity of Extant Reptiles Essay The Biology and Diversity of Extant Reptiles The word reptile itself does not describe a monophyletic group of vertebrates, like the mammals or birds. It is used to classify a polyphyletic group of animals that are a subset of the larger group of Amniotes. The term is best described through a cladogram: [IMAGE] The reptiles first appeared in the early Carboniferous, having evolved from labyrinthodont amphibians. They had several distinct advantages over the amphibians that allowed them to flourish during the cold, dry Permian period. These lead them to be the most successful group of vertebrates and this period was referred to as the age of reptiles. They exploited all terrestrial niches, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Because of this reptiles were able withstand osmotic water loss and re invade the sea. The Chelonia (turtles) have become the most prolific marine reptile and they also have an interesting skin that is worth mentioning. The have a shell covering their body, made out of a horny layer attached to a denser bony layer. It comes in two pieces, the carapace, for dorsal protection and the plastrom for ventral protection. 2 Excretion. Reptiles have modified their excretory products to conserve water. Because they do not have a complex enough kidney to produce urea they create uric acid, a large molecule that has a very low water content. Although the water content is lower than urea the trade off is that the molecule is expensive to make. Reptiles also reduce the water content of their faeces through active removal of NaCl. This creates an osmotic gradient to draw water out and desiccate the excrement. The excess NaCl is then excreted through the nose. 3 Creation of the cloaca. This is a cavity into which the urinary, alimentary and genital ducts open. It has three sections, the coprodaeum where faeces collect and enter, the urodeum where the ureter empties out and water is removed and finally the proctodaeum, the collection point for uric acid and faeces. This centralisation of all the excretory products allows for greater water retention as well as providing for the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Genre Of Matthew 23 Matthew 23:1 12 #1 The Genre The genre of Matthew, one of four Gospels and narrative. #2 Generic or Intrinsic conception The generic concept of Matthew 23:1 12 is that Jesus warns the crowds and disciples against Pharisees and Scribes who do not practice what they teach, do not serve their people, but enjoy being exalted. #3 Observations Literary: o In Matthew 23:1 12, the literary feature I found is explanation/analysis, interchange, and contrast. Jesus presents an idea, which is not doing what the Pharisees and Scribes are doing. He explains this idea by providing examples of what they do in verses 5 7. The author also uses interchange because the focus in verses 1 7 is on the Pharisees and the Scribes and what they do. However, from verses 8 12, Jesus is focusing on the multitude and his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I once heard that one of Christian member misunderstood verse 9 in this passage. He took it literally and decided not to call his earthly father his father because everyone is a brother in Christ. He believed that his true father is only the Father in heaven. However, this misinterpretation comes because of the lack of cultural understanding. Father was used to recognize someone in a high title, not a physical father. Another misinterpretation can be towards our spiritual leaders. Christians can force spiritual leaders to humble themselves because they must serve their congregation first. Also, heavier judgments and expectations can be made upon spiritual leaders because they are not to exalt themselves. A proper interpretation can come by looking through the historical and cultural lens. Jesus is not teaching people to deny their physical parents or judge spiritual leaders. He is rebuking the inconsistencies of the Pharisees and Scribes. They are being hypocrites, falsely leading his people. Therefore, he is teaching the true teacher and a father, which is in ... • 5. The Process Of Writing The Intervention Plan During the process of writing the Intervention Plan I met with the client on a number of occasions. During those times I observed the client participating in different activities to try and determine her level of cognitive and physical function. I also spent time talking with her about activities she enjoyed to include both current and past activities such as crafts, exercise and reading. Under the supervision of the recreational therapist the following are activities that I performed with the client and how and why I determined the activity I chose for her intervention plan. The client stated on several occasions how important she thought exercise was and willingly participated in morning exercises and daily walks. During the walks the client relied heavily on others to guide her due to her visual and cognitive deficits. In my opinion she will not be independent functionally mobile and I feel there is nothing that I can do to improve her current level of function leaving me to the conclusion that activity would not work for an intervention plan. During morning exercises the client was able to perform all exercises correctly and was very motivated however, on a regular basis the client would ask if she was doing them correctly. I noticed during another activity she would also ask if she was doing it correctly. Taking into account her concern for how she performed I planned on asking her to assist me in leading morning activities, the idea being to re enforce a positive ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The entire population is surrounded by millions of creations well educated people made or thought of by themselves. In the excerpt from The Hunger of Memory by Richard Rodriguez and the essay Superman and Me by Sherman Alexie, education majorly influenced the outcomes of the authors lives. Common themes found throughout the writings are upbringings from ethnic backgrounds and being taught with the American education system. Education is extremely influential in how successful people become in the world. At first glance, these pieces of literature seem similar, but they have many differing viewpoints on how truly powerful education can be on the life of an individual. Whether having a positive or negative impact on a life or lives, knowledge can lead a person to a truly successful route in his or her journey. Having a proper education is essential. In the excerpt from The Hunger of Memory, Rodriguez discusses how he became assimilated to the American education system. He was brought about in a Spanish speaking home and taught English at the age of six. Rodriguez explains his feelings of no longer having a connection to his parents, who were immigrants, and his Mexican culture, in which he claims is because of the rapid change to speaking English and being taught the American way. The BigTop tent is brightly colored and designed to resemble a circus tent. Although it is made to fit their line of JumpSport safety enclosures, it will fit most round trampolines that are between 12 and 14 feet in diameter that has upright safety net poles. Due to its flexible installation system, it would probably fit a trampoline that falls a little short of the recommended sizes, but you should check before ordering. Even if the material fails or someone falls through, the safety net will not be affected in anyway. There s no parts to come loose or break. The ease of set up is another thing that this tent has going for it. It attaches to the top and bottom of the safety poles using straps. The retractable ceiling is assembled by a cable that attaches to two points on either side, pulling it into a pointed shape and providing plenty of jump height. One person can completely install it in less than 30 minutes. With four sided ventilation, it shouldn t heat up as much inside as tents with fewer openings. It s disappointing that the material isn t 100% weatherproof, but it s limited water resistant material dries quickly. You probably can t expect it to last years installed outdoors, but should hold up fine for a season or two. As easy as it is to install, taking it down during storms wouldn t be a huge problem and would prolong the life. The material is double stitched, a clear indication of quality ... AN INVESTIGATION TO FIND THE EFFECT OF BILE SALTS OF ON THE DIGESTION OF LIPIDS I have investigated that if there is an effect of bile salts on the digestion of lipids in the milk. When lipids are broken down in to fatty acids and glycerol (see below), the acid lowers the pH of the mixture. To help me determine and measure the digestion of lipids, a pH indicator phenolphthalein has been used to measure the pH of the mixtures. The pH indicator will change the colour from pink to either white (if bile is not contained) or brown (if bile is contained), this will indicate that the solution is changing from alkaline to acidic. So if I want to use phenolphthalein, I will have to firstly make the mixtures alkaline. This will be achieved by ... The main goal was to increase the accuracy of the text dependent speaker recognition performance. Now a days there is a lot of talk going about creating hardware modules which can take care of recognition of speech or face or other patterns as iris recognition and the list goes on. The primary reason behind this is the fact that we all want to automate things like speech recognition, which reduces manpower in many areas and also because of the vastness of data available these days, it is humanely impossible to recognize patterns within these data‟s. • 16. Pollution In Air Pollution Demolition and Construction sites are bad when it comes to the control of particulates causing an increase in air pollution. The particulates can be emitted by the process of knocking down or disturbing the building letting the particulate free and get into the air reducing the quality. If the workers do not manage what they are doing correctly, it can have harmful impacts on not only their health but the communities and the environment. At times enforcing the laws and good practice can be expensive and very disruptive. The legislation includes things like Identifying activities that create pollution, Environmental risk assessment, selecting low emission materials and getting the right training and using the proper methods. But what is classified as particulates and what are they? They can be very broad but things such as Dust and asbestos from knocking buildings down that can float away causing harm to the environment, and people s health, motor vehicle emissions and smoke from power tools also can have a significant impact. There are many ways in which emissions can be controlled including things such as Demolition workers can Water down the building as they are knocking it down to weigh down the particulates. Using the water to weigh down particualtes can be harmfull, as if the workers use to much water to weigh down this particualtes it can cause run off. This run off can end up in the river sytems and throw this way the particualtes can polute and cause harm to the enviroment and the animals in th eater. Workers can also time it to the wind, i.e. on windy days don t do work that will cause a lot of particulates to float around. They can even be aware of the environment in which they are working in and know the restrictions and the history s (mainly for older homes) of other houses to get a broader idea if the particulates cause more harm than a newer house might. For things such as Sanding, grinding and welding the workers can also use water to weigh down the particulates or use a type of grad method to trap the particulates. It was a lot of work to get her and it made me more appreciate that I actually got a dog. My step sister Mia and I were asking for a dog for a long time. We would always watch The Animal Channel show about dogs or vet, and it would make us think about how much we wanted a dog. Both of us had dogs before, but we did not have one anymore, we either got rid of them or they were with our other parent we didn t live with. So we would keep asking my dad over and over and bribe him by saying we would clean the house and clean and take care of the dog. One day before my sisters dance recital Mia and I were in the middle of watching TV when we saw an ad for a free dog we ran outside and begged for a dog. • 18. How Jesus Christ Fulfilled The Covenants God Made With... Introduction Throughout the history of the world, God has been working to bring humanity back to him. Due to the loss of constant communion in the fall, God set forth multiple promises to eventually establish his eternal Kingdom, the New Testament, is the culmination of these promises. The Gospels are the most specific in how Jesus Christ fulfilled the covenants God made with Abraham and David. More importantly he is the fulfillment of the new covenant, which washes away sin and brings humanity back into communion with God. What is modeled in the Gospels is reaffirmed in Acts, by the way the church is to function according to the culmination of the Covenants. Acts begins to reveal the great mystery that is the inclusion of the Gentiles in God s covenant. Paul s Epistles take the culmination a step further and defend the idea that the fulfillment of God s covenants does not just affect the people of Israel, but the Gentiles as well. The General epistles teach that the people are no longer bound by the mosaic covenant since the New Covenant was fulfilled via Jesus Christ. Yet practice of the law is still an important factor of the Christian life style even if superseded by the New Covenant. Revelation shows that covenants are leading up to the lord s victory and salvation of his people. The sins of the Jews and Gentiles are washed away by Jesus the blood of the lamb so in reality the battle is already won because of the New Covenants fulfillment in Jesus. It is clear from ... According to Claridge and Fabian (2005), one of the earliest examples of EBM is found in the biblical book of Daniel. Regardless of religious affiliation, this story or anecdote provides an excellent example of a controlled study, which is one of the foundations of EBM. In this story, Daniel and his three friends Azariah, Mishael, and Hananiah, refuse to eat the food provided to them by their king. Since starvation was not an option, they proposed to their steward (who was set over them) to test them for ten days by only giving them vegetables and water for their consumption. Then they, Daniel and his three friends, would be compared to the other young men who had consumed the food provided to them by the king. Daniel and his friends agreed that they would then submit to the direction and wisdom of the steward, after he was able to evaluate both groups. The end result of the experiment was that Daniel and his friends were noticeably healthier than their counterparts who had eaten of the king s food (Claridge, Fabian, 2005, p. 548). ... Some people could say this is similar to moving into another country where the culture and language is different. Rappaccini s Daughter Comparison With this concept in mind, readers can simply note that Beatrice was created first before Giovani and thus the readers can state that in this version of the Garden of Eden, Eve comes before Adam. The text, due to this word choice, suggests that Rappaccini, cannot recreate the work of God or become a god himself because he is just a man filled with mockery and mockery. As a mortal person, Rappaccini cannot fully be God and it is his attempt to play God through his experimentation and meddling that makes him a large and monstrous threat to those around him; within the story, it is his God complex in the end that costs him a place amongst normal reality and costs him his own daughter. The researchers asked 32 middle class children (half were 5 years old, half were 11) to draw two separate pictures: one with themselves and a stranger, one of themselves and a friend. The researchers hypothesized that children would draw strangers further away from themselves than friends, and that older children would draw the stranger farther apart than young children. The researchers measured distance between the figures in centimeters from the eye line of one face to the eyeline of the other face. The results indicated that younger children drew strangers farther apart than older children and that while younger girls and boys drew strangers the same distance apart, girls drew themselves closer to their friends (Holmes, 1992, p. 160). However, contrary to the hypothesis, older children drew themselves closer to a stranger than younger children. Non state actors are able to consolidate their power through their interactions with the international and regional community (Bayart 1993). The new independence talks about having freedom and unfree labor but that s not the case for African Americans. The abolition and emancipation was a slow process because veterans of the war were promised 300 acres of land and a slave. This made the process difficult for whites to accept the fact that if the slaves were granted freedom, they would possibly have their land taken as well as their slaves. Another possible cause for the slow start of slave freedom is that all the founding fathers owned slaves which then made people think that it s okay to own slaves as well. Slaves began to run away from their masters to British lines and would try to pass as freeborn. General Henry Clinton offered sanctuary to any slave that escaped to British lines. Soon, Northern states and the upper parts of the south began emancipation of slaves. Free communities started to emerge which led to families, schools, churches and leaders to grow and live. Finally, African Americans had their freedom back and began to start a community. Women before the American Revolution were viewed as weak, less important and not as intelligent as men. The rights and freedom of women were nonexistent; women couldn t vote, own property, sign contracts and/or wills or divorce their husbands.
