Patriarchy In American Culture
Patriarchy like the dance hall text is broken down into bits and pieces. Patriarchy in dancehall music
was almost a ideology or a way of thinking that made the Jamaicans or people that listened conform to
the social norms instructed through the music. It was the wave of dominance that and referred to the
way women and men should look, act, and also the roles one must play as a man or women in that
society. It also takes a form a racism and instills it into the minds of listener. The name of this is called

European beauty marker it cause a self hatred for a majority of the people in that culture. The lighter

Examples Of Conflict In Father And Son
The clash between ideas of one generation and the ideas of the next creates conflicts between parents
and children. In this case, between fathers and sons. For example in Ivan Turgenev s novel Father and
Sons (1862), the central conflict is depicted through the motif of generational differences, which are
revealed through the portrayal of each character and his or her relationship to others.
In Father and Sons, Turgenev reveals this conflict between the traditionalists Pavel in contrast to the
modernist, Bazarov. This conflict is raised because of each characters generation and belief. For
example Pavel is from an older generation who follows an old traditional Russian ideology. However,
Bazarov rejects the old traditional Russian ideologies and concentrate on the modern thinking of
Nihilism. Because of the two very different ideologies and beliefs, it is inevitable that there will be a
sense of tension and hatred building between the two characters which will eventually lead to climax
when one of the characters goes overboard, which is shown during the duel of Bazarov and Pavel.

day because of their different beliefs. Parents don t like it when their children are on their phone

Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants so long as it is black. Henry Ford
Introduction
In early January 2012, Joseph Wierda, BMW s X3 Product Manager, reviewed the latest sales
numbers of the popular X3 Series compact SUV. He was, in particular, interested in the effects of
BMW s customization program called Dream It. Build It. Drive It. on both unit sales and overall
profitability. This new integrated sales and marketing program allowed customers to create a fully
customized BMW X3 SUV and have it delivered to their driveway in only a few weeks. The program
scored some important points with the media. For example, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In 2011, U.S. sales of new vehicles reached 12.7 million units, the best result since 2007.1 Sales for
2012 were projected to reach 13.8 million units, close to what many experts considered a nonbubble
sales volume of around 14 15 million cars.2 In terms of local manufacturing volume, the U.S. was
third in the world with a record low of 5.7 million new motor vehicles produced in 2009. During the
same year, Japan built 7.9 million cars and China 13.7 million. Just a decade earlier, however, in 1999,
the U.S. dominated the global car industry, manufacturing more than 13 million new vehicles, more
than Japan and China combined at the time.3 Recent volume increases in China were mostly driven by
first time buyers, government incentives, rural subsidies, and reduced sales tax for fuel efficient
vehicles. While the Chinese market was growing at an impressive rate of 40% annually,4 major U.S.
carmakers were still struggling at home.
U.S. Auto Fleet
In 2011, the United States had 254 million registered passenger vehicles and 205 million licensed
drivers.5 The number of cars, along with the average age of the U.S. fleet, had increased steadily since
1960, indicating an increasing number of vehicles per household. Recently, however, changes in
consumer behavior could be observed. Price sensitive Americans tended to keep their cars longer. The

Causes of Bolshevik Success Using Voilence Essays
How far do you agree that the Bolsheviks consolidated their hold on power in the years after the
October/November revolution mainly through the use of violence against their opponents?
The Bolsheviks consolidated their power after October 1917 however they faced many severe
problems which made keeping their power complex. For Lenin and the Bolsheviks winning political
power was relatively easy compared with retaining it. The Bolsheviks may have had a temporary
majority in the All Russia soviet in October 1917, but they did not have a majority following in the
country as a whole . Russia was in chaos, politically and economically, and normal government had

The Workers Decrees outlined measures for minimum wage, limitations on workers hours, and the
running of factories by elected workers committees. This consolidated Bolshevik support amongst the
working classes in the cities, where they had taken power, because it gave the workers a sense of
democracy.
However Lenin also had solutions to these problems through a more violent approach, this was
repression. The cpnstituent assembly which had been promised by the provisional government took
place as planned on 12 november 1917 and the result was that the social revolutionaries became the
largest party in Russia. This made lenin fear was that the constituent assembly would challenge the
newly Bolshevik rule so when the assembly rejected by 237 to 137 votes to be subservient to the
decrees, Lenin took violent action by having armed troops and red guards threaten the assembly at gun
point to close down. The Bolsheviks had been successful because the opposition was divided on what
to do; half of the socialist revolutionaries supported the Bolsheviks and joined them in a coalition
government; half followed the leader viktor chernov who called for peaceful

Gender Inequality Is A Prominent Issue Globally
Abigail Yeo Zhi Yi
311
Gender inequality is a prominent issue globally. Gender inequality is defined as unequal treatment or
perceptions of individuals based on their gender. Around the world, women are not treated as equally
as men. In 2015, only 50% of the world s working age women were in the labor force, compared to
77% of working age men.
In this essay, I will be focusing on gender inequality in China and Japan and the causes and effects of
gender inequality in both countries, as well as whether gender inequality will be reduced with
education.
Francis Bacon once said, Knowledge is power. Education is important in reducing gender inequality
for a few main reasons. Firstly, education can empower women. Education, be it vocational or
academic, will give women the ability and skill to work and be useful in society. If a woman is given
vocational education, she will have skills that she can put to use in a job and will be able to earn
money. If a woman is given academic education, she will have greater knowledge and even be able to
take up higher ranking jobs. Secondly, education can change the mindsets of people about gender
inequality. This applies not only for women, but for men too. Education could help people to realise
that women should have the same rights as men and that gender inequality is wrong. People who
receive education could spread awareness about the importance of education for women and fight for
women s rights, narrowing the gender gap. Thirdly,

Assessment And Management Of Leaky Wounds Following...
Assessment and management of leaky wounds following prosthetic joint replacements: a retrospective
study of prospective surveillance.
Authors: Sudhir Kannan, Jason Wilson, Grahame Taylor
University Hospitals Of Leicester.
Department of Musculoskeletal Surgery (Leicester General Hospital).
Introduction:
Persistent wound discharge following joint replacement is a known complication. Any
discharge from the wound for 4 days is defined as persistent leakage. Our literature
showed that the incidence of persistent discharge from the wound ranges up to
14.3%(Gaine et al), wound complication which require surgical treatment is
0.33%.(Galat et al).
Galat et al (2009) conducted a retrospective analysis of 17,784 primary total knees
replacements and report that the incidence of wound complications requiring surgical
treatment was 0.33%. Gaine et al reported that the incidence of superficial infection and
early deep infections following joint replacement were 14.3% and 1.1% respectively.
We could identify several classification systems for leaky wounds. However, these
classification systems have been devised by individual authors, which have not been
repeated between papers. To be specific there is no universally accepted classification
system.
The leaky wounds often lead to treatment dilemma, prolonged hospital stay and
delayed return to activity (Gaine et al). Besides, it causes stress to the patient and the
operating surgeon. There is also

Tennyson s The Lady Of Shalott
The famous poem The Lady of Shalott opens with the speaker (or singer) giving the setting of the
story. The lady of Shalott lives in a tower on the island of Shalott that overlooks Camelot. Although no
one has seen this woman, the people of Camelot still believe in her existence. The reapers refer to her
as a beautiful fairy. Others refer to her as the mysterious woman in the tower. The citizens do not
know much of her other than she is rumored to spend her days weaving and singing to her heart s
content. Up in the tower, the Lady of Shalott views the land of Camelot by way of a mirror clear
(Tennyson 898). This mirror being a window that she can see out, but no one can see in. She watches
the world pass her by while she remains imprisoned in the tower. Shepherds, women, and knights
would all pass the tower; however, they never saw her looking down at them. In the evenings, she
would listen to the music that would play in Camelot, and long to see what it was like down in the
village. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When seeing the window in the tower, he shoots an arrow through it, wondering what could be up
there. Tennyson gives imagery of his uniform and shield to give him the physical appearance of a
knight in shining armour. The lady of Shalott watched as he valiantly rode his horse into Camelot. As
she rode away, Tennyson gives various physical descriptions of Sir Lancelot. It said his bow shined in
the sunlight, which it says flashed the crystal mirror (899). It also said that he rode from the bank,
around the river, and off to Camelot. This meant the lady of Shalott watched him for quite a lengthy
bit of time. When Sir Lancelot sings Tirra lirra (899), the lady of Shalott can t help but realise her

Threat Of Best Buy Essay
An economic threat of Best Buy is the threat of online retailers like Amazon. Best Buy is increasing its
online sales and remaining competitive. Amazon has become very popular with consumers because of
the convenience of ordering products right from their own living rooms and having it delivered
sometimes within an hour. This makes it hard for Best Buy to compete because they cannot offer that
same experience and expedited shipping. They are trying to compete with fast online store pick up that
is quick and easy.
Another threat to Best Buy are large box stores like Walmart that create an all in one, grab and go

A technological opportunity for Best Buy is the increased releases of new models of smartphones like
Apple and Android. Those products increased interest therefor increase sales by consumers.
Another opportunity is the demand for the latest and greatest electronic products by the population of
consumers.
A threat for Best Buy would be hat the new generation of consumers seem to prefer online shopping

Another technological threat to Best Buy is the Digital delivery of media which includes movies and
video games and less number of consumers purchasing hard copies.

The Education System Of The Republic
Education is a transfer of knowledge from one generation to another. Some societies have oral
traditions while others transfer the knowledge by written works. In Plato s Republic, for Socrates the
education system is structured in two major parts: the education of the mind and character and the
physical training. For Socrates, truth, justice, and goodness are the main principles for a utopic
society. Indeed, for him the truth is universal and therefore in order to have a perfect utopic society it
community should be dedicated and based on truth. In fact, in this imaginary society the educational
system is an oral transfer of knowledge, which is based on trues stories and fiction. The Republic
shows that in this imaginary society the education is strictly control and does not portray any of the
three principles of a utopic society. The educational system of The republic demonstrates that nothing
is utopic in this imaginary society. The education of this society is controlled and people could only
have one set of mind. Everyone is different and therefore should have the right of choosing when, how
and what they want to study. The varieties of educational system normally allow this, but in this
society, it is not the case. In this society, the education is supervised and controlled: Then it seems that
our first business is to supervise the production of stories, and choose only those we think suitable,
and reject the rest (Plato 377 b). The education goes from one

essay is to explore how William Blake made use of various literary techniques to portray the theme of

children in charity schools. Blake makes use of this contrast to emphasize on the subject of the poem.

The poet effectively makes use of different metaphors to portray cruelty towards children in the poem.
Clothes of death is a metaphor for the chimney sweepers uniform. The boy feels the injustice that he
has to sweep chimneys as a child. The noun death might allude to the harsh working conditions that
the child has to face. The latter hence might describe his work as a deadly task. This metaphor hence,

The metaphor sing the notes of woe describe the child s despair as he begs lamentably the people

mind of the child and furthermore portray the frustration of the child as he is cruelly dominated by his
parents. Finally the metaphor make up a heaven of our misery might be a mouthpiece of Blake as he

Chris and Anne did not have their own family yet, which was an excuse for the older generation to
contradict them although they knew the difference between right and wrong. In this play the word
father to Chris means righteousness and integrity. If one cannot look beyond one s personal circle they
are condemned to an ending that is a tragic moment of realization that may bring an ending similar to
Joe s. Another morality issue, which Chris has to deal with in regards to his father in taking

the benefits of his inner circle. There s nothing he could do that I wouldn t forgive. Because he s my
son. Because I m his father and he s my son. In these words Keller expresses his own optimism that no

With an influx of new cultural and religious ideas, natives rush to preserve their way of life. A drive

King Lear Sacrifice
The foundations of family relationships lies in their love for one another. Sacrifices and expression of
love are essential elements to further strengthen or weaken a family s bond. How love is expressed
between family members is a crucial part in sustaining healthy family relationships. However, if it is
not maintained, it can bring downfall to the family. In King Lear, Lear s mindset towards conveying
love brought his downfall, he measured his daughters love by the flattery he received (Shakespeare,

Pros And Cons Of The Gilded Age
Looking at the Bigger Picture In the late 18th to the early 19th century, some people were desperate to
make money fast. Populations were growing so rapidly, and people struggled to make enough living
for their families. In conjunction, the United States tried to transition into a more modern and efficient
world. This resulted in new ideas and inventions, in hopes to make living easier in a changing world.
This period of time was known as the Gilded Age. Nineteenth century entrepreneurs are captains of
industry based on their ability to boost the economy, the standard of living increased, and the lasting
impression they made on America.
Looking at entrepreneurs as robber barons is somewhat credible because of businessmen s tendency to
claw their way to the top, despite hurting others along the way. However, on the opposite side of the
spectrum, the jobs provided by these entrepreneurs ended up helping the American economy. Business
owners were responsible for, the American economy [to grow and grow]. By 1914, the small nation
once seen as a playground for European empires had now surpassed them all (The Gilded Age). These
owners are captains of industry because of their ability to boost the economy and further progress
America in the right direction. America started out as a small nation, but due to mainly business,
America was able to surpass even larger nations. Other business figures, such as Thomas Alva Edison,

Women s Roles In The Tang Dynasty
Women s role in Ancient Chinese civilisation was always vital to society due to their role in the family
and during the Tang and Song dynasty significant changes occurred, changing Chinese women s lives
forever. While it is no secret women were inferior to men in the history of China, not many are aware
of the major differences of the status of women from dynasty to dynasty. The Tang Song dynasties
ruled from 618AD to 1279 AD and many distinct differences between these two dynasties can be

differences to Tang, For instance, the prime minister of the Song dynasty might take a bath in the same

This is quoted from a secondary source from a professor studying Chinese history and shows how
different the societies were between the two. Men were still greatly superior to women in this period.
In contrast with the Tang dynasty, women in this period despite it following the Tang dynasty, were
not allowed into positions of great importance like government officials or be involved in politics and
were just expected to stay at home and take care of the household. But women of this period, unlike
those of Tang, were had equal societal and legal rights that enabled them to control their own dowry,
able to establish small businesses and were equal to men when it came to terms of inheritance, (Yuan,

of the Song dynasty were more academically inclined and well reserved and respectful. Although the
society themselves were different in certain aspects, women s role between the two were similar. Both

The Painting Of The Secret By Jackson Pollock Is Good Art
Art is much more than throwing paint on a canvas, and saying here is a painting worth millions. Art
takes time. Paintings and thing like such requires time for the process of thinking and creating each
piece of work. Art also requires patience. When creating beautiful pieces of art, the artist needs to be
able to have patience while working. Art is not just something anyone can do. Art requires much time
and patience to be considered good art. The painting Guardians of the Secret by Jackson Pollock is
good art. Good art involves taking a lot of time to prepare and actually do the work. To create a piece
of art that is good, the artist must take time to prepare an image of what he or she wants to paint or
make. On top of the time to prepare, the artist must take time to actually create the piece of art as well.
The time it takes to prepare may or may not be as long as the time to create the piece of art is.
However, the time spent on preparing and actually doing can be seen in the actual art. Time is very
important when considering a painting or any piece of art. A home owner looking to add art to his or
her house will want something that an artist has spent a significant amount of time on. People are very
concerned with how much time the artist spends on his or her painting. The Guardians of the Secret
shows the artist, Jackson Pollock, has spent a significant amount of time on this painting. The painting

Strain Injury Research Paper
Do you Have A Repetitive Motion Strain Injury? Look For These 3 Signs A repetitive motion strain
injury can happen when you repeat the exact same motion continuously, resulting in a body part
becoming damaged. This can happen to athletes with injuries like tennis elbow, but can also happen to
workers that are on assembly lines or a computer all day long. This type of injury usually occurs to
people who have jobs that require them to do strain inducing, repetitious movement, or motions in
awkward positions. If you feel you have an injury related to these motions, you are not out of luck
when it comes to dealing with it. You could potentially receive workers compensation to help you deal

Ethnographic Observation
I set out to find a place to begin my observations, not knowing what to fully expect, what I may find.
So I decided to look around at what is close to my home that isn t a place I frequent or have even
visited at all. Then it came to me, the Starbucks that is only about a mile away is a perfect place for me
to observe subjects that I would consider different from myself, seeing as how I consider such obscene
prices for coffee ridiculous. Starbucks is a very popular chain of coffee vendors that describe their
product as more about quality than what Americans are used to in typical coffee joints. Although I

Most of the groupings were either just singular people or couples coming to pick up either a plain
coffee or most of the females ordering some mixed espresso or something to that degree. There were a
couple of oddities in the data such as a one older couple that came by and also one black male also
stopped by to pick up some coffee. Most the behavior I observed was a very casual and relaxed as the
people seemed to all be friendly and enjoying their absurd priced beverages. Once in awhile someone
would recognize a fellow customer and they would proceed to great each other with either a
handshake or hug. Spatial arrangement between people was typical of most American norms. They
typically had about a person length in between each person making sure not to get to close to bump
into one another which is considered rude in this country. I did my research at approximately 1pm to
1:30pm in the afternoon. I do believe this did influence the type of people I saw in the establishment.
If it were early in the morning I believe there would have been slightly older gathering of people
going to their respectable jobs. Instead a majority of the customers were college students that were
coming in for that mid day pick up. As for the norms I witnessed they were typical for American
establishments, the people working greeted the customers in an almost fake friendly manner that is
supposed to comfort and make the customer feel at home in the environment. Then, the

The Influence Of Modern Art
Is modern art affecting our American Economy, or any economy for that manner, in a terrible way?
After all, these wealthy individuals are spending their hard earned bills, hundreds upon thousands
upon millions of it in some piece of art that doesn t make any sense to anyone but the maker. This
could lead to a huge break, that these supposedly grimey buyers are making our economy go down the
toilet, and it could be on them. Art in itself is a very inspiring investment, but the fact that these artists
that spit out works that don t put any effort or passion into it are making the green show more readily
than more passionate artists. Modern art sales may be affecting our economy with their meaning
leading to quick production, their odd cult worship making it understandable to those who purchase it,
inflating their ego so to speak, and the types of sales types where the money goes and how it is made.
How art these works created so quickly, and what is the norm as far as meaning goes? The whole of
Modern art is abstract pieces, meaning art that is very hard to comprehend as far as the rational mind
goes. Bruce Hinrichs, a professor, psychologist, and artist himself at University of Illinois, studied the
ideology and the mind behind Modern Art. Hinrichs claims that More than any preceding artistic style
or aesthetic, Modernism epitomizes the emergence of a deliberate cultural and social agenda. (Pg 22).
Most of the art is made from Modern idea and events, making them

2014059013 The Transition and Opening up and Growth of the Service Sector of China
Abstract
The objective of this paper is to show the transition of China from an economy dominated by the
manufacturing to a more stable economy dominated by services. In recent years, many people were
thinking about why the GDP (gross domestic product) of China has drop drastically from 11% to 7%.
Well, that is an intentional cooling down that the country is doing to make the transition from
industrial to service sector also known as tertiary industry . Through many years, the industrial sector
was the one that contributed more to the GDP of the country; but now, China is changing this to a
more stable and sustainable economy by opening up its service sector and the 12th Five Year Plan of
China (2011 2015) is helping to accomplish this task. In 2013, for the first time of the history the
service sector overpass the industrial sector in the contribution to the GDP.
Key words: Transition, Gross Domestic Product, Industrial Sector, Tertiary Industry, and Sustainable
Economy.
I. Introduction
Since 1978 when Deng Xiaoping took away the centrally planned economy and introduced the
capitalistic market reform, China has witnessed tremendous transitions and growth. This tremendous
growth lasted for 30 years. Between 1983 and 2013, the GDP of China has an annual grow of 10.2%.
Also, China has transformed from a sleeping rural, to a giant

When Victor creates the being, he fails to imagine the kind of support and nurturing it will need. Since

Persuasive Essay On Diesel Engine
When someone purchases a vehicle, diesel engine or gas engine, there is a lot responsibility that goes
with this decision. Not only only do they have to pay close attention to their vehicle s exterior and
interior, but there should also be just as much attention paid to what is under the hood.
As the owner of the vehicle, you will most likely know your car or truck fairly well and can tell when
something is not right. Some problems are easily fixed, and others are not, but depending on what is
wrong, it is something that could have been avoided. This is actually a common occurrence when
people have failed to get regular oil changes, as changing your oil can prevent extensive damage to
your engine and much more.

Over the next two and a half years, we worked to develop and refine CRISP DM. We ran trials in live,
large scale data mining projects at Mercedes Benz and at our insurance sector partner, OHRA. We
worked on the integration of CRISP DM with commercial data mining tools. The SIG proved
invaluable, growing to over 200 members and holding workshops in London, New York, and Brussels.
By the end of the EC funded part of the project mid 1999 we had produced what we considered a good
quality draft of the process model. Those familiar with that draft will find that a year later, although
now much more complete and better presented, CRISP DM 1.0 is by no means radically different. We
were acutely aware that, during the project, the process model was still very much a work in progress;
CRISP DM had only been validated on a narrow set of projects. Over the past year, DaimlerChrysler
had the opportunity to apply CRISP DM to a wider range of applications. SPSS and NCR s
Professional Services groups have adopted CRISP DM and used it successfully on numerous customer
engagements covering many industries and business problems. Throughout this time, we have seen
service suppliers from outside the consortium adopt CRISP DM, repeated references to it by analysts

A Brief Note On The Battle Of Antietam
The Battle of Antietam started the morning of September 17, 1862 at 0600. Union troops of the First
and Twelfth Corps made their way across Antietam Creek the day before in efforts to attack the left
flank. From 0600 to 1000, the Union troops were with Confederates under Major General Thomas
Stonewall Jackson. This engagement occurred in a 24 acre cornfield. These were the most deadly
hours of the battle; over 8,000 casualties were killed at this time. As Union General Joseph Hooker
later wrote, It was never my fortune to witness a bloody, dismal battlefield in that nature. In the first
hour of the battle in the Cornfield, the slaughter was so intense that one man fell, was killed or
wounded every second. By 10 am, Union troops ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By 1 pm, Federal forces had taken the road, breaching a hole in the Confederate lines. However,
because of fatigue and serious casualties, these Union troops were not able to proceed any further. By
the early afternoon hours of September 17, about 17,000 Union and Confederate soldiers had fallen as
casualties at Antietam.
Midday page: 5
The battle moved south into a section of the line known as the Sunken Road because of a major terrain
feature. At about mid morning the fight was expected to take place from 9:30 AM and last until 1:00
PM. The Confederates in the middle of the battlefield, led by General D.H. Hill, were in a sunken road
that they were told to hold at any price. Colonel John B. Gordon said to General Lee these men are
going to stay here, general, till the sun goes down or victory is won. They shot from the sunken road at
the approaching Northern generals French and Richardson s soldiers of General Sumner s corp. The
union line retreated 5 times, but kept returning. For some unexplained reasoning, the right of the
Confederate boundary ultimately stammered and subsided. Union General Richardson exploited this
convenience and went in the Confederate right. He attacked through the sunken

Alan Bennett s A Cream Cracker Under the Settee
How does Alan Bennett reveal Doris character, life and attitude in the dramatic monologue a cream
cracker under the settee ?
Many of Bennett s characters are unfortunate and downtrodden, as in the Talking Heads series of
monologues that was first performed at the Comedy Theatre in London in 1992, and then transferred
to television. This was a sextet of poignantly comic pieces, each of which portrayed several stages in
the character s decline from their initial state of denial or ignorance of their predicament, through their
slow realization of the hopelessness of their situation, to a typically bleak Bennett conclusion.

Throughout the monologue Doris shows that she is obsessive about cleaning, she does not believe that

would mean that she would not have to do it, Therefore taking away her independence.
When Doris and Wilfred were younger they were said to of had a baby which had died at birth, when
the baby had died the nurse had raped it up in newspaper, and in Doris eyes she associated this with
being dirty . This reveals how Doris does not want her child to have anything to do with anything

The Digital Possession Of Human Since The 19th Century
1. Publishing is the process of making information available and present to the public. Making things
public or generally known has its impact on the society. When modes of publishing change, the
communicative aspect of the society changes. Information flows differently in the respective time, and
the movement has transformed the social interaction between people.
2. Not only the advancement of publishing text, but also imagery, and I will focus on photography.
Photography is the common possession of human since the 19th century. The purposes of creating
photographs are numerous. The distinctiveness of photo taking creates different meaning, which had
its power to influence the society.

Feminism in Elizabeth Barrett Browning s Aurora Leigh Essay
Feminism in Elizabeth Barrett Browning s Aurora Leigh
In Aurora Leigh, Elizabeth Barrett Browning creates an independent, intelligent young woman. Barrett
Browning successfully demonstrates the difficult obstacles women had to overcome in the Victorian
period. There were preconceived ideas of what proper women were suppose to do with their life. Not
that this idea has completely been surmounted in our time. Barrett Browning though is optimistic
about the goals women can achieve. She wants to demonstrate to women that belief in themselves and
their dreams is possible and preferable to the standard.
The poem begins with Aurora Leigh s observations of her aunt. Her somewhat narrow forehead

Therefore a woman was taught enough facts that could prove useful in conversation. She was not

Her aunt also had her instructed in Spun glass, Stuffed birds, and modeled flowers in wax,/ Because

Demon Vampire Research Paper
The Cursed Vampire
Let s start with your past shall we? About the time when you re alive, when you haven t go on a trek to
slaughter all the demon hunters. The inquisitor asked. I was silenced, I tried to avoid him, but it didn t
turn out well. He glanced at me and said nothing, as if he was use to downworlders like me. He sighed
and shake his head, pulling out something that looks like an angel blade, but it has a gun s trigger on
the two side. Pulling the trigger on both side, a bright light came out from top and point it towards me.
Then I remembered what it is, it s the blade of justice, it is said that it will give a unique effect to
downworlders who s against the person who is holding the blade. I was vulnerable, but it didn t
intimidate me a bit. Even though the light was bright, I didn t even blink. Maybe it s because I have
some crazy demonic vampire powers, but I was stronger than any ordinary vampire.
I sighed. You can do whatever you want with the blade of justice, but it won t work against me. I have
trained to defend myself against any kind of magic. To defend demon hunters who want to eliminate
me. I was boring, so I started thinking about my past, where all the things happened.

characteristics of bravery, understanding, and intelligence. In the book Atticus is is the father of Scout
and Jem Finch. His wife died and he is alone other than the help of their maid Calpurnia. Atticus is a
strong willed man who thinks outside the box. He is also a lawyer and defended Tom Robinson in the
court case. Atticus Finch is brave. There are many occasions in this book where Atticus Finch shows

Well, in the first place you never stopped to gimme a chance to tell my side of it you just lit right into

Christian theology are: scripture, tradition, reason, and religious experience (Blackwell, 2017 pg.104).
Scripture is explained to be used for Christian living, and instruction written by God. Old Testament
tells of God s dealing with the Israelites, and how they lived sinfully in the sight of God. While the
Israelites did not live the way, God commanded them to live which was by the Ten Commandment
ways, God still loved them unconditionally even after he punished them. When it comes to the New
Testament, God s only begotten son Jesus came unto the scene. Jesus came to this world to seek and to

  • 3. Examples Of Conflict In Father And Son The clash between ideas of one generation and the ideas of the next creates conflicts between parents and children. In this case, between fathers and sons. For example in Ivan Turgenev s novel Father and Sons (1862), the central conflict is depicted through the motif of generational differences, which are revealed through the portrayal of each character and his or her relationship to others. In Father and Sons, Turgenev reveals this conflict between the traditionalists Pavel in contrast to the modernist, Bazarov. This conflict is raised because of each characters generation and belief. • 6. Gender Inequality Is A Prominent Issue Globally Abigail Yeo Zhi Yi 311 Gender inequality is a prominent issue globally. Gender inequality is defined as unequal treatment or perceptions of individuals based on their gender. Around the world, women are not treated as equally as men. In 2015, only 50% of the world s working age women were in the labor force, compared to 77% of working age men. In this essay, I will be focusing on gender inequality in China and Japan and the causes and effects of gender inequality in both countries, as well as whether gender inequality will be reduced with education. Francis Bacon once said, Knowledge is power. Education is important in reducing gender inequality for a few main reasons. Firstly, education can empower women. Education, be it vocational or academic, will give women the ability and skill to work and be useful in society. If a woman is given vocational education, she will have skills that she can put to use in a job and will be able to earn money. If a woman is given academic education, she will have greater knowledge and even be able to take up higher ranking jobs. Secondly, education can change the mindsets of people about gender inequality. This applies not only for women, but for men too. Education could help people to realise that women should have the same rights as men and that gender inequality is wrong. People who receive education could spread awareness about the importance of education for women and fight for women s rights, narrowing the gender gap. Thirdly, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Some societies have oral traditions while others transfer the knowledge by written works. In Plato s Republic, for Socrates the education system is structured in two major parts: the education of the mind and character and the physical training. For Socrates, truth, justice, and goodness are the main principles for a utopic society. Indeed, for him the truth is universal and therefore in order to have a perfect utopic society it community should be dedicated and based on truth. After all, these wealthy individuals are spending their hard earned bills, hundreds upon thousands upon millions of it in some piece of art that doesn t make any sense to anyone but the maker. This could lead to a huge break, that these supposedly grimey buyers are making our economy go down the toilet, and it could be on them. Art in itself is a very inspiring investment, but the fact that these artists that spit out works that don t put any effort or passion into it are making the green show more readily than more passionate artists. Modern art sales may be affecting our economy with their meaning leading to quick production, their odd cult worship making it understandable to those who purchase it, inflating their ego so to speak, and the types of sales types where the money goes and how it is made. How art these works created so quickly, and what is the norm as far as meaning goes? The whole of Modern art is abstract pieces, meaning art that is very hard to comprehend as far as the rational mind goes. Bruce Hinrichs, a professor, psychologist, and artist himself at University of Illinois, studied the ideology and the mind behind Modern Art. Hinrichs claims that More than any preceding artistic style or aesthetic, Modernism epitomizes the emergence of a deliberate cultural and social agenda. (Pg 22). • 26. The Transition And Opening Up And Growth Of The Service... Group A Studies on China Economy Victor Alberto Han Zou 2014059013 The Transition and Opening up and Growth of the Service Sector of China Abstract The objective of this paper is to show the transition of China from an economy dominated by the manufacturing to a more stable economy dominated by services. In recent years, many people were thinking about why the GDP (gross domestic product) of China has drop drastically from 11% to 7%. Well, that is an intentional cooling down that the country is doing to make the transition from industrial to service sector also known as tertiary industry . Through many years, the industrial sector was the one that contributed more to the GDP of the country; but now, China is changing this to a more stable and sustainable economy by opening up its service sector and the 12th Five Year Plan of China (2011 2015) is helping to accomplish this task. In 2013, for the first time of the history the service sector overpass the industrial sector in the contribution to the GDP. Key words: Transition, Gross Domestic Product, Industrial Sector, Tertiary Industry, and Sustainable Economy. I. Introduction Since 1978 when Deng Xiaoping took away the centrally planned economy and introduced the capitalistic market reform, China has witnessed tremendous transitions and growth. This tremendous growth lasted for 30 years. Between 1983 and 2013, the GDP of China has an annual grow of 10.2%. Also, China has transformed from a sleeping rural, to a giant ... We worked on the integration of CRISP DM with commercial data mining tools. The SIG proved invaluable, growing to over 200 members and holding workshops in London, New York, and Brussels. By the end of the EC funded part of the project mid 1999 we had produced what we considered a good quality draft of the process model. Those familiar with that draft will find that a year later, although now much more complete and better presented, CRISP DM 1.0 is by no means radically different. We were acutely aware that, during the project, the process model was still very much a work in progress; CRISP DM had only been validated on a narrow set of projects. Union troops of the First and Twelfth Corps made their way across Antietam Creek the day before in efforts to attack the left flank. From 0600 to 1000, the Union troops were with Confederates under Major General Thomas Stonewall Jackson. This engagement occurred in a 24 acre cornfield. These were the most deadly hours of the battle; over 8,000 casualties were killed at this time. At about mid morning the fight was expected to take place from 9:30 AM and last until 1:00 PM. The Confederates in the middle of the battlefield, led by General D.H. Hill, were in a sunken road that they were told to hold at any price. Colonel John B. Gordon said to General Lee these men are going to stay here, general, till the sun goes down or victory is won. They shot from the sunken road at the approaching Northern generals French and Richardson s soldiers of General Sumner s corp. The union line retreated 5 times, but kept returning.
