When the alpha chains are deleted, the iron that is supposed to attach to the alpha chains which
contain a heme molecule becomes free iron. This is because the iron has nowhere to attach if its chain
is missing. This free iron can be dangerous to the body because of its toxic nature. If the heme
molecules are not binding, iron cannot be stored there and therefore be transported to the red blood
cells. This means that oxygen is not being transported to the hemoglobin protein. The hemoglobin
protein has to be released from the red blood cells and be released into the plasma by enzymes that
contain heme. After the enzyme release the protein, the red blood is destroyed and hemoglobin can
release oxygen into the bloodstream. With Alpha Thalassemia, the low functioning numbers of
hemoglobin are not enough to provide stable oxygen levels. If the levels are too low anemia is
developed and blood transfusions are given to provide health red blood cells and hemoglobin proteins
that can have alpha chains. The influx of new hemoglobin proteins allows for iron to have heme
molecules that are in the alpha chains to bind. This allows for hemoglobin proteins to increase and
numbers allowing oxygen to be successfully released into the blood stream. However, that still leaves
the free iron that did not have a heme molecule and alpha chain to attach to. This leads to high levels
of iron that were once low before the new hemoglobin proteins were delivered because the bodies

Star fruit, botanically called as Carambola, is a star shaped tropical fruit with sweet and sour flavor.
Malayan peninsula native Carambola is cultivated in many parts of Southeast Asia, Pacific Islands and
China for its fruits. Eventhough, abundant and plentiful, carambola is yet to gain popularity, especially
in the western world.
Scientific name: Averrhoa carambola. The genus Averrhoa includes two well known sorrels
(Oxalidaceae) family of fruiting trees, carambola.
Star fruit is a small, bushy evergreen tree that grows very well under hot, humid, tropical conditions.
The plant bears small lilac colored, bell shaped flowers in clusters which subsequently develop into
oblong shaped fruits with characteristic five angled edges (sides or ribs) that appear like a starfish in

It usually has five prominent longitudinal ridges, but in rare instances it can have as few as four or as
any as eight. In cross section, it resembles a star. Thin, smooth, and waxy skin turns from light to dark
yellow when ripe. The translucent flesh is light yellow to yellow in color. The fruit will have 10 to 12
flat light brown seeds about a width of 6 to 13 mm (0.25 to 0.5 in) and it is enclosed in gelatinous aril.
Once removed from the fruit, they became inactive within a few days.[2]
Carambola fruit features light green to yellow with attractive ,smooth, waxy surface and weighs about
70 130g. Inside, it s crispy, and juicy pulp can either be mildly sweet or extremely sour depending

periodontal disease.

Rodney Fussell was an inmate at Southern Ohio Correctional Facility, who suffered with Hepatitis C.
According to Hep C Hope, Hepatitis C is a contagious liver disease that can lead to serious problems
including cirrhosis and liver cancer. To be treated, it is necessary to be prescribed medication, before
the disease is too progressed. Rodney Fussell was told that he contained a high level of liver enzymes
for a long period, but had not received diagnosis until five years later. When Fussell realized that he
tested positive for Hep C, he asked to be transported to a clinic to receive a consultation, which the
prison denied. Gary Roberts was an inmate who was housed at London Correctional Institution, in
