Research Paper On Shakespeare
I assume everyone already knows that Shakespeare invented many new words in the English
language, but have you ever stopped and thought about just why he did it? People don t make up new
words for no reason; they make them up because there is a need. In Shakespeare s case, that need was
because of his time period and the ideas he wanted to express. Let me explain:
Shakespeare wrote his plays, poems, and other works during the time of Elizabethan England. This is
a very interesting time period in history because many new revolutions and reforms were taking place.
The most important one regarding Shakespeare was the Italian Renaissance. You see, Early Modern
English which is what we call the English that Shakespeare wrote in was very messy regarding its
structure and vocabulary when you compared it to languages such as Latin and Greek. When
Shakespeare was starting to write his works, the English language was going through incredible
changes, absorbing and integrating words from other languages due to the events that were happening
in the 1600s such as colonization, exploration, war, and others. There was a huge return to
philosophical thinking in Italy and a new way of expressing ideas that we today call the Renaissance.
Of course the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is also one of the reasons why Shakespeare s plays are set in Italy, and the beautiful plays and
scenes he describes are often using Italian cultural mediums such as Commedia Dell Arte. Nowhere
could you find such a historical basin of beautiful ideas and expressions without going to Latin and
therefore to Italy. Shakespeare wanted his plays to mean something wonderful, and to do this he went
to places with language that conveyed these beautiful ideas like no one else. There s a reason why in
English romantic means romantic as in love inspiring and romantic as in

Out Of The Depth Summary
Out of the Depths is a very interesting narrative book about retired Marine Edgar Harrell surviving the
sinking of the USS Indianapolis in 1945. Harrell grew up on a farm in Kentucky, as a little boy he
listened to the radio about the Naval Wars and Marines losing their lives, so he decided he wanted to
help. When Harrell became 18, he registered for the draft right away. The massive cruiser, the USS
Indianapolis, became his life and, more importantl, became his home. He lived on this ship serving
and fighting for his country. He remembers very precisely about the one time he saw a Japanese
Kamikaze plane hit the ship in the battle for Okinawa. He survived the attack, but nine of his friends
tragically lost their lives. The ship had to return to the states as needed for repairs, because the
Indianapolis had important components for the atomic bombs to drop on Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
While there, he noticed that the captain said that their next assignment was to head for the Philippines
to invade Japan. Harrell stated to the captain that it was necessary to have an escort through the seas to
that area as the US has already lost 129 soldiers due to Japanese attacks ... Show more content on

The torpedoes hit the ship in less than fifteen minutes causing the ship to sink. Harrell with no
hesitation immediately started to find his way out as rushing waters flooded the ship. The only thing
he could think of as he was struggling to escape from the deadly waters was his mom, dad, 6 brothers,
two sisters, and his girlfriend that said she would wait for him to come home. Harrell thinking of this
recalled to himself, I want to live, I don t want to die . He says that millions of things were going
through his brain. Him and 900 to 1,200 men who survived the attack were stranded in the sea, oil
soaked, holding onto anything that

SPA Essay
Ajax can be used to develop SPA, but it has some issues with it: 1. Complexity: Execution in any SPA
requires DOM structure to be modified again and again asynchronously in an HTML view. Controller
is responsible for performing such asynchronous operations and as the application grows large,
controller itself becomes complex. The complexity is also increased as developers tries to add more
features to existing application. So, for any changes in the view would also require changes in
controller as well which increases complexity. 2. Debugging: Any DOM manipulations in the
controller are also dependent on events in any HTML view. There is tight coupling between view and
controller which can makes it hard to test and debug any application. ... Show more content on

It can also capture parameters passed in URI to be assigned to controller in use. The controller can
thus read the information from URI and make routing decisions accordingly. 4. Directives Directives
have the ability to add new functionalities to the existing DOM. AngularJS has many built in
directives such as ngApp, ngController, ngBind etc. These directives have their own functionalities in
the AngularJS application. Developers can also create their own directives to add new reusable
components. Benefits of SPA: 1. Better User Experience: As Single Page Applications (SPA) has
single page only and part of the web page is refreshed dynamically with minimum response time, SPA
offers better user experience to users. Unlike In traditional applications whole web page is reloaded
completely which is sometimes unnecessary and may even not feasible on slow network connections.
2. Compatibility: SPA can be easily deployed on other platforms such as mobile, Tablet or Desktop.
Developer can reuse the same piece of code for web version and mobile application also. 3. Easy
deployment and version control: Deployment in production server is very easy in case of SPA as there
are separate client and server logic. One can easily deploy at client part as only 3 files are typically
needed: a single page(.html), a CSS bundle, and a JavaScript bundle. Rollback to previous version is
also very easy in case of

Coming Of Age In Mississippi Essay
African Americans fought long and hard to achieve racial equality during the Civil Rights movement
through protests and boycotts. But, not all forms of protest were violent. Sit ins were a non violent
form of protest and proved to be a very effective. Students would go into a restaurant or cafe, order
food, sit down at the white area, demand service, and not leave until they got served. They never got
served; this form of protest would go on for weeks. Whites would throw food and other remains on
them making the headlines at newspapers. Coming of Age in Mississippi, an autobiography written by
Anne Moody, is about the life of Moody; beginning with her childhood and ending at the end of her
college years. Moody was an activist during the Civil Rights movement and organized several sit ins
herself. Those who engaged in sit ins were arrested, threatened by the KKK, and banned to return to
their hometowns. During the Civil Rights movement, sit ins served ... Show more content on

In other words, freedom to make decisions without to decide where they wanted to go to school, walk,
eat, or talk without being oppressed. Whites refused to give them that freedom and protests such as sit

with violence towards something that was completely non violent. Police started arresting everybody
that had anything to do with sit ins and many started to question why? White people began to also
engage in this form of protest; even more attention was drawn. The more people that police arrested,
the more there were that protested. In the eyes of the southern whites, having African Americans sit in
at white lunch counters was against their unwritten law. In reality, it was the whites that throw and

Victim Typology Sellin And Wolfgang Summary
Summary Typology by Selling and Wolfgang Perry B Keaton Victimo logy 2 Instructor: Fabrienne
McDowell July 26, 2015 Summary Typology by Selling and Wolfgang 1 Discuss the victim typology
offered by Sellin and Wolfgang. In order for me to do this I first have to give a definition of the word
to get a better understanding of it. Typology is the study or systematic classification of types that have
characteristics or traits in common. But how do the definition correspond with Selling and Wolfgang
theory I will try to explain it in this brief paper. After reading the short segment from Selling and
Wolfgang it determine that they have broken down Typology into five category in which I will discuss

scenario someone embezzle money from your local church. The third one Tertiary victimization is
really no stranger to us because this one happens on a daily basis. It involves a highly government
official who takes pleasure trips and writes them off as business expenses is cheating the public.
Mutual victimization is when two or people are involved in a crime then all of certain the crime goes
haywire and the others that are involved in the crime become the victim. How often have we seen this
to occur? For example the first robber get angry at the other two because they did not divide the
money correctly between them so he turn around and robs them. The final one of the five categories is
called no victimization, I really did not understand this to the fullest but I think it involves when no
one can be blame for crime which weird to me. I guess what they are trying to explain here if two

Why Does Seymour Kill Himself
Seymour kills himself as a victim of his own inability to reconnect to real society after his wartime
experience. Right from the get go, when Muriel s mother expresses that there s a very great chance...
that Seymour may completely lose control of himself (Salinger 2), we see how people surrounding
Seymour are concerned for his mental health due to a host of his previous erratic behaviors. These
include funny business with the trees [when driving] , that business with the window [he broke it] ,
and the horrible things he said to Granny about her plans for passing away (Salinger 2), which when
compounded, clearly demonstrates Seymour s struggle to reconnect with society. His disconnection is
also emphasized when he kisses Sybil s foot

After World War II, the United States and the Soviet Union were no longer allies and both became
world superpowers in their own right. Since the Joint Commission failed to establish a government to
unify Korea, the country was split into North Korea and South Korea. Because of the United States
and the Soviet Union not being able to build a government together, Korea was divided into North
Korea and South Korea, permanently establishing their own governments. The attempt at unification
failed, then each country (the United States and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic) worked to
politically influence the portion of Korea that they occupied. The Soviet Union pushed for the spread
of communism and the United States pushed for a democratic and capitalistic society. The United
States and the Soviet Union had many resources that allowed them to greatly influence the
development of the part of Korea that they occupied. From 1948 to 1950 the Soviet Union greatly
influenced communism in North Korea by supplying them with weapons and military supplies
(Korean War). The weapons given to the North Koreans helped to advance them in national security.
North Korea had a swift economic recovery with the outside assistance from the Soviet Union and

Introduction Whenever looking at financials, a certain level of accountability and understanding is
needed to be able to have great measurability of success. That is the case for any individual especially
when applying this thought of rational to a business or corporation even more accountability,
understanding, and most importantly precision are needed to successfully bring in as well as continue
financial sustainability. When dealing within a corporation there are many levels to adhere to within
the financial everyday aspects of the corporation being ran with precision. So what happens when an

So how can that definition be taken in? Is a non profit organization just a business trying to avoid
paying taxes? That could be the case though let us delve a little deeper.
Recognizing Non Profit Organizations
Taking a look at non profit organizations will breed a sense of familiarity. Five of the most known and
recognizable non profits are National Public Radio (NPR), United Nations Children s Fund
(UNICEF), Human Rights Watch (HRW), Wiki Leaks, and Green Peace. These are all organizations
we have come across with familiarity, with maybe the exception of Green Peace. As any avid listener
of National Public Radio I can attest to the programs being run on the basis of callers calling in and
pledging donations to help keep certain programs as well as the station afloat. Some of these other
organizations are also based upon donation interaction, however, to label their financial situation as
strictly donation base would be an ignorant train of thought. All of these organizations do a great job
acquiring revenue to help the operation of the organization.
Financial Stability Being financially stable is an issue of any organization or corporation. This is an
issue touched on by Padilla, Staplefoote, and Morganti as they state the following the definition of
financial sustainability may

Essay On Hillary Clinton Supporters
Now, as an open minded free citizen, it is possible for me to recognize the ideals, beliefs, and visions
of a Hillary Clinton supporter. However, the two different groups of individuals can see the same issue

respect me in the same manner. The country has become divided and the unity we strive to express
through being one nation undivided has been abruptly interrupted by conflict caused by elections.

continue our luxurious lifestyles we must continue as The People always have.
The opposition, Hillary Clinton supporters, want to give illegal immigrants the opportunity to have
every right that we do handed to them. If we allow this where is the justice for us? We are taking away
our own opportunities before we have our own right to receive them. The illegal immigrants could
soon build up their numbers and have significant impacts on the government we live by. These Clinton
supporters shall take our rights and hand them off to others that don t share the patriotism that runs in
our blood. These attacks on our own homeland will be answered with continuous support for the right
candidate.

Causes and Effects of Bullying Bullying is a big issue that spreads through the world. It can happen to
anyone of all ages, and in numerous ways. Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among people
that involves a real or perceived power imbalance that either repeats or has the potential to repeat,
overtime (Bullying Definition). There are so many factors that tie into bullying such as, why the bully
is actually bullying, why the bully chose that victim, or even the effects that occur while the bullying
is taking place. Low self esteem is a common reason why someone would want to bully a person. Low
self esteem is the lack of pride a person feels in themselves. Often times a bully feels like they are less
than others and the only way for them to feel better about themselves is to try to bring others down. A
lot of bullies aren t trying to hurt someone physically, they use words and certain remarks to torture a
person, making that person feel just as less as them just to uplift their own self esteem. Although low
self esteem is a cause narcissism is also a factor to bullying. Not only can a bully feel less of
themselves but they can also feel that they are higher or better than others. Cockiness is a trait seen in
many bullies. This may show in people such as jocks at a high school, or a fellow co worker that may
have a higher position or make a higher salary.

Baseball Of The Baseball Rule
INTRODUCTION
Baseball ballpark owners owe a duty of care to spectators who attend games their stadiums.
Historically, there has been a devotion to the baseball rule , which is essentially a tool of public policy
used to protect stadium owners. However, there is very little consensus on what exactly the rule entails
and how it is applied across all jurisdictions. While this rule is justified based on a limited amount of
data, Gallatin legislature should either reshape it to better reflect modern tort doctrine or continue
operating on a case by case basis, taking all facts and situation based evidence into account.
BASEBALL RULE
The Baseball Rule has been widely adopted by courts in jurisdiction considering the legal duty of
landowners owed to spectators at baseball games. The Baseball Rule has two main components: the
owner must screen the most dangerous section of the field (typically the area behind the Homeplate)
and the screening provided must be adequate to provide covering for as many spectators who desire
protected seats. Spectators that willingly choose to watch the game in unscreened areas assume the
open and obvious risk of being struck by a ball. With the Baseball Rule clearly limiting the landowner
s legal duty, ballpark owners avoid potential lawsuits for every ball that strikes a spectator.
Without the Baseball Rule, under general principles of landowner liability for negligence, spectator
injuries are considered on a case by case basis upon criteria

The Decline Of The 21st Century
Americans are not amateurs in challenging the current paradigm and fighting for its shift. The 21st
century has brought about much needed conversions in America. Conversations including gay
marriage rights, fair pay between men and women, gun control laws and many others. These
conversations emerge when our basic human rights are infringed upon. Thus, healthcare in America is
not immune to these conversations; on the contrary, our healthcare system has numerous issues to
address. Among of them, dementia may be one of the most important. Why, you may ask? Let us
begin with the fact that dementia is the sixth leading cause of death in America. According to the
RAND Corporation, backed by the federal administration, 15 percent of people aged 71 or older,
about 3.8 million people, have dementia 5. That information might sound irrelevant to some but it is
vital in understanding the future. In the same report, it is stated that by 2040 that estimate will inflate
to 9.1 million people 5. The rapid progression is due to the maturation of the baby boomer generation.
According to Dr. Richard J. Hodes, director of the National Institute on Aging, there are going to be
more older people with fewer children to be informal caregivers for them, which is going to intensify
the problem even more. The question of how future Americans deal with end of life advanced
dementia has not been nationally agreed upon. Not only will the increase of the elderly population
cause the inevitable

Banking Reforms In Nigeria Essay
1.0 Introduction
Banking reforms have been an on going phenomenon around the world right from the
1980s, but it is more intensified in recent time because of the impact of globalisation which is
precipitated by continuous integration of the world market and economies. Banking reforms involve
several elements that are unique to each country based on historical, economic and institutional
imperatives. In Nigeria, the reforms in the banking sector preceded against the backdrop of banking
crisis due to highly undercapitalization deposit taking banks; weakness in the regulatory and
supervisory framework; weak management practices; and the tolerance of deficiencies in the corporate
governance behaviour of banks (Uchendu, 2005). Banking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The banking sector in emerging economies has witnessed major changes to compete, attract
international investment and increase capital market growth. Banking crisis usually starts with
inability of the bank to meet its financial obligations to its stakeholders. This, in most cases,
precipitates runs on banks, the banks and their customers engage in massive credit recalls and
withdrawals which sometimes necessitate Central Bank liquidity support to the affected banks. Some
terminal intervention mechanisms may occur in the form of consolidation (mergers and acquisitions),
recapitalization, use of bridge banks, establishment of asset management companies to assume control
and recovery of bank assets, and outright liquidation of non redeemable banks. Bank consolidation,
which is at the core of most banking system reform programmes, occurs, some of the time,
independent of any banking crisis. Irrespective of the cause, however, bank consolidation is
implemented to strengthen the banking system, embrace globalization, improve healthy competition,
exploit economies of scale, adopt advanced technologies, raise efficiency and improve
profitability(eseoghene,2010). Ultimately, the goal is to strengthen the intermediation role of banks
and to ensure that they are able to perform

Questioning the Reason of Human Existence on Earth in the...
In the play Waiting For Godot, Beckett questions the purpose of human existence on Earth and reflects
uncertainties in life through a series of meaninglessness events and acts played by the characters. The
play contains only two acts and involves Pozzo and Lucky, who meet Vladimir and Estragon while
they are waiting for Godot in both acts. Instead of evolving in a narratively structured order, the play
unfolds in anti theatre fashion. Through Beckett s use of language, set, and the diminishing spiral , he
presents the play in a way that one is not sure of what, if anything, happens or the significance of the
characters. Thus, Beckett seems to want his audiences to think and analyze the play in a way that they
normally would not.
As we already know, Beckett s play is anti theatre, which means that his play does not follow the
classical theatre format that unfolds in order from exposition, complication, crisis, climax to
resolution. In fact, Beckett designs the play in a diminishing spiral fashion, which means that the play
has no structure. It does not have a beginning, an end or a resolution. Besides a sense of time, which is
demonstrated through day and night and the leaves on the trees in both acts, the two aimless
characters, Vladimir and Estragon spend their time waiting and not knowing for whom. The play has
no plot and the characters do not develop over time. For example, the characters forget about act I
when they are in act II. This shows that the plot is not

Mount St. Helens Research Paper
On the morning of May 18, 1980, the United States of America experienced its deadliest and most
destructive volcanic eruption in history. Briefly succeeding a magnitude 5.1 earthquake, an enormous
slab of Mount St. Helens northern flank collapsed in a massive debris avalanche. This landslide was
the largest to transpire on Earth in recorded history and caused the volcanoes magma system to
depressurize. With the cap of the mountain removed, superheated gases and rock fragments blasted
through the side of the mountain (USDA, 2005). The lateral blast accelerated at speeds of 480 km per

Helens will occur. The main issue is that it is impossible to prevent it, or stop it once an eruption has
begun. However, procedures can be established to reduce the lives lost or damage to property should a
future event occur. Technology for monitoring volcanoes has advanced dramatically over the last 36
years. The seismometers used in 1980 are prehistoric compared to todays equipment. Nowadays,
seismometers can hear low frequency indications of fluid moving deep below the Earth s surface

and detect gases rising from volcanos summits. Remote monitoring equipment is used 24 hours a day
and 365 days a year by the USGS (USGS, 2014). With that regard, the success of a monitoring system
depends primarily on how fast detection occurs and the time needed to notify public if evacuation s
required. Although, monitoring might detect possible eruption but the magnitude of an eruption is still
difficult to determine (Crandell and Mullineaux,

The Context Of South African Education In South Africa
South Africa Context
In the context of South Africa education, teachers are one of the importation pillars in the upliftment
and transformation of the society. As South Africa education faces challenges so the teachers too.
After restructuring of national government and education in South Africa after apartheid in 1996,
education faces with several challenges such as
Constant shift in educational curriculum
Integrating inclusive in the classroom
Accommodation of diverse learner
Lack of adequate support system for teacher
And lack of enough quality teachers.
The Outcome Based Education (OBE) was adopted after apartheid method of education was cancelled
in order to redress the inequalities caused by apartheid government. The poor implementation and
integration leads to it death .The Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement replaced the OBE. In
the centre of all this changes and shift, the teachers suffer fear of the unknown which resulted in major
challenges they faces across the system particularly with respect to confidence and competence in

The EMR technician seemed to be uncertain and kept putting me on hold. Frankly she gave me the
impression that this was her first day on the job. At the end of the session I still had questions on how
some of the features worked such as when does the camera prompt to update a photo of a new
insurance card? At what point are the patients given the options to authenticate? The technician was
unable to answer any of these questions which I felt were part of the set up and installation process.
Could this have been a language barrier again? Or did I annoy her with all my questions? Another
communication challenge that I faced was with the staff and patients. I needed to convince both staff
and patients that the kiosks are user friendly thus, making the check in process much faster than
checking in with the receptionist. I could hear the tone of reluctance, apprehensiveness and fear from
both the staff and patients as we began using the kiosks. Providing and communicating clear training
and instructions on the use of the kiosks was essential to the success of this new procedure.

Analysis Of Daniel Goleman s Primal Leadership
This book is based on the contents of Emotional Intelligence in 1995 showing how to be leaders and
organisations with Emotional Intelligence. Traditionally reason had been the key of business world,
but this book has raised Emotional Intelligence for the key.
In Primal Leadership, Daniel Goleman divided leadership style into six and discovered they are
related to Emotional Intelligence. The six leadership styles are below :
1. Coercive leadership.
Their Emotional Intelligences are leverage, ability to achieve and progressiveness. They usually
acquire immediate obedience. They are not likely to accept other members opinions, but give
directions clearly. Furthermore, they control the organisation severely and want detailed report from
their employees. They just want others to follow him/her, but do not like to explain. This kind of
leadership focuses on bad results rather than good ones. As this style is the worst effective one, other
types of leadership need to be used with this one. It should be used very carefully.
2. Visionary leadership
Their EI are conviction, awareness and inspiration, so they express their goals clearly and share with
other members. They lead firmly but fair for long term vision. This style leads positive environment,
passion, hope and dedication. This type of leadership is especially effective when the business is into
turning point or needs changes for new vision.
3. Pacesetting leadership.
Their EI are progressiveness, ability to

Generations And The Millennial Generation
Millennials always have new focuses and different causes to fight for. The millennial generation or
generation Y, tends to be known as the generation that gets caught up in rapid trend cycles, fast
fashion, and throw away consumerism. While the millennial generation is criticized for these different
points, it raises the question if they are actually implementing pro environmental practices. This article
looked at how generations households affect the environment and compared them, the authors tried to
tie the sustainabilities of the households to their specific generations to see if there was room for
comparison. The article is published in Science direct on the Geoforum. Publishing the article on this
site allowed the article to be reviewed heavily before it was allowed to be released and enabled the
authors to provide the public with an accurate message. The authors found that Generation Y
households are more concerned with the environment, however are not implementing the pro
environmental processes that those of the older generations are. Pro environmental practices would
include, turning off the water while brushing your teeth, shorter showers, buying from farmers
markets, air drying clothes rather than using a dryer, etc. Generation Y also expressed high levels of
environmental concern while the older generations were a little more wary. The authors of this article
mainly compared generation Y with the silent generation, however the authors did survey all the

Examples Of Transcendentalism In Maggie And Molly And May
E. E. Cummings was heavily influenced by the transcendentalist movement. Many of his themes stem
from his inclination to the philosophy of transcendentalism. The search for self and the individual who
looks towards nature for symbolic answers all come from the individualistic belief that
transcendentalists celebrate (Hart). In Cummings poem maggie and milly and molly and may, he
elaborates on his theme of self discovery and portrays himself through the four girls mentioned in the
title. After reading through the poem, there are a few things that you can point out right from the start.
Like a nursery rhyme, the sounds and rhythms in the poem first attract its audience with its repeated m
consonants and its dactylic meter (Saunders). The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A starfish has five limbs, and in this poem, they are described as five languid fingers. These five
fingers remind the audience of their own hand. Therefore, Milly is befriending herself and looking at
herself from an outside, objective point of view. Indirectly, Cummings is trying to tell the audience
that to further achieve self discovery, you have to look at yourself from someone else s shoes. How
you may see yourself could be extremely different from how others see you, like how, in the next
couplet, Molly views a crab as a horrible thing. In this fourth couplet, a crab, which is characterized as
a horrible thing, chases Molly. The crab can be identified as Molly s fears, following her as it moves in
a very unconventional manner. Returning to the indirect presentation of Cummings, the crab also
represents the nightmares in his life, or the challenges that he had to face in search of his identity
(Hart). He might be instructing his audience that there are things that one dislikes when one looks
back and reflects on his or her past, and that these discomforting memories are one s fears that must be
faced to further achieve self discovery

Diversity Is Like A Salad
Diversity in America is like a salad. Each piece of the lettuce holds its own identity but the whole
salad is mixed together and held in one bowl. Likewise each person has a distinct difference from one
another, but we are all living in the same country.
1. Why did you decide to take this course?
Being that I am a young African American female I wanted to go to a prestigious college with a
mixture of different cultures. Learning about my culture along with other ones was an important part
of growing up. When I came across this class I really was interested in what it had to offer. Not
knowing what I want to specifically focus on in the psychology field I decided to dig deeper in the
cross culture diversity section by taking this class.
2. Recall the incident in which you first became aware of differences. What was your reaction? Were
you the focus of attention, or were others? How did that affect how you reacted to the situation?
At a young age I started to notice the differences between the races and cultures. Why wasn t my hair
like the other kids at the school? Why was my skin much darker? I was constantly teased and called
names like brownie or blackie. I felt as if I were the ugly duckling. I stuck out like a sore thumb being
that I was one of the few African American children that were in 4th grade. Finally, I decided I didn t
want to be different, I asked my mom to make my hair look like the other little girls in class. In fact it

The World Of An Independent Society
As First Nations fell away from our traditional roots of hunting and gathering, and have inevitably
picked up the European ways we have become victims of the Well Fare system. Originally, First
Nations had Fared Well; however since European invasion they have also been the victims of the Well
Fare system. We as a First Nations people need to find our way back to our traditional roots and only
then will we find ourselves in a Faring Well community.
The Secwepemc peoples are an excellent study of First Nations political economy. In their past they
lived a Faring Well economy but as time went on and the European influence came into their lives,
they lost their economic freedom more and more. The steps that they have taken throughout the recent
years have led them to accepting the Well Fare economy. However as time goes on we have taken the
first steps to becoming an independent society.
The word Kamloops is the English translation of the Shuswap word Tk emlúps, meaning where the
rivers meet, and for centuries has been the home of the Tk emlupsemc, people of the confluence .
European contact with the colonial government divided the Secwepemc into 17 distinctive groups in
1811, with specific parcels of land selected for each. The Secwepemc peoples fall into the Plateau
group of First Nations in North America. The Secwepemc people are a nation of 17 bands that occupy

The major objective of the government fiscal policy was to restrict the growth of current expenditure
to a level below the growth of the nominal GDP, thereby making more resources available to support
annual development programme (ADP) undertaken in each year. In line with the Enhanced Structural
Adjustment Facility (ESAF) of the IMF, a number of reforms were initiated, the most important of
which was the introduction of value added tax (VAT) in July 1991.
VAT was introduced at a uniform rate of 15% at the manufacturing cum import level. Together with
protection neutral supplementary duties, this system largely replaced the earlier structure of
differentiated sales tax on import and excise duties on domestic goods. In case of personal income tax,
the major reforms involved the inclusion of entertainment allowances in the personal income tax base,
deduction of investment in approved assets from the tax base, and an introduction of a withholding tax
on dividend with limitation of special expenditure within a reasonable limit. Steps were taken to
reduce interest rates on government savings instruments and subsidies for food and jute. A good
number of public sector enterprises were denationalised through sales to the private sector.
These reform measures resulted in a remarkable improvement in the fiscal situation of Bangladesh
after 1990. The growth of current expenditures was contained below the

Summary Of Las Mariposas
The Mirabal sisters were instrumental in the toppling of Rafael Trujillo s regime in the Dominican
Republic. Julia Alvarez uses Las Mariposas to exhibit different ways in which people can become
politicized in times of revolution. She uses these women for several reasons: they are well known, and
while they all had the same up bringing they all hold different values. The Mirabal sisters became
politicized in different ways and for different reasons. Minerva became a revolutionary when she saw
that her country was unjust. Mate became a revolutionary when she see s that love is not alienated in
the rebellion and that her help is needed. Patria became a revolutionary when her faith was rekindled
and her faith becomes apart of the revolution.
Minerva, the first sister to become politicized, does so when she meets someone whose life has been
directly, and negatively, influenced by Trujillo in a horrible manner. When Minerva goes to
Immaculada Concepcion she meets a young girl named Sinita who tells her about what Trujillo has
done to her family. One of her family members spoke out against the dictator and for that reason he
and the rest of the men in the family were killed. When Minerva hears this she stands up for Trujillo
and Sinita responds by saying Don t you get it? Minerva, don t you see? Trujillo is having everyone
killed! (19). This statement by her friend opens Minerva s eyes. She had not realized how awful
people were being affected by him. He was having people killed so that he could have power, and
nobody knew about it. This opening of her eyes is how she was politicized. She was aware of the
atrocities and wanted to help free herself and her country from someone she viewed as the devil
himself. Minerva is politicized when someone she cares for is deeply affected by the harsh nature of
the regime.
Minerva is politicized because her picture of justice was shattered. Minerva had always wanted to be a
lawyer and therefore had very strong feelings about justice and what is wrong or right. When she saw
that the man she had always assumed was flawless had flaws, and huge ones at that she would have
wanted to do something about it. Minerva says it best when she says And that s how I got free. I don t

themselves during the course of every day, regardless of the background they come from. Krik? Krak!,

different meanings in life such as family, love, and passions that extend into something larger than
themselves.

  • 2. Research Paper On Shakespeare I assume everyone already knows that Shakespeare invented many new words in the English language, but have you ever stopped and thought about just why he did it? People don t make up new words for no reason; they make them up because there is a need. In Shakespeare s case, that need was because of his time period and the ideas he wanted to express. Let me explain: Shakespeare wrote his plays, poems, and other works during the time of Elizabethan England. This is a very interesting time period in history because many new revolutions and reforms were taking place. The most important one regarding Shakespeare was the Italian Renaissance. You see, Early Modern English which is what we call the English that Shakespeare wrote in was very messy regarding its structure and vocabulary when you compared it to languages such as Latin and Greek. When Shakespeare was starting to write his works, the English language was going through incredible changes, absorbing and integrating words from other languages due to the events that were happening in the 1600s such as colonization, exploration, war, and others. There was a huge return to philosophical thinking in Italy and a new way of expressing ideas that we today call the Renaissance. Of course the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is also one of the reasons why Shakespeare s plays are set in Italy, and the beautiful plays and scenes he describes are often using Italian cultural mediums such as Commedia Dell Arte. Nowhere could you find such a historical basin of beautiful ideas and expressions without going to Latin and therefore to Italy. Shakespeare wanted his plays to mean something wonderful, and to do this he went to places with language that conveyed these beautiful ideas like no one else. There s a reason why in English romantic means romantic as in love inspiring and romantic as in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Out Of The Depth Summary Out of the Depths is a very interesting narrative book about retired Marine Edgar Harrell surviving the sinking of the USS Indianapolis in 1945. Harrell grew up on a farm in Kentucky, as a little boy he listened to the radio about the Naval Wars and Marines losing their lives, so he decided he wanted to help. When Harrell became 18, he registered for the draft right away. The massive cruiser, the USS Indianapolis, became his life and, more importantl, became his home. He lived on this ship serving and fighting for his country. He remembers very precisely about the one time he saw a Japanese Kamikaze plane hit the ship in the battle for Okinawa. He survived the attack, but nine of his friends tragically lost their lives. The ship had to return to the states as needed for repairs, because the Indianapolis had important components for the atomic bombs to drop on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. While there, he noticed that the captain said that their next assignment was to head for the Philippines to invade Japan. Harrell stated to the captain that it was necessary to have an escort through the seas to that area as the US has already lost 129 soldiers due to Japanese attacks ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The torpedoes hit the ship in less than fifteen minutes causing the ship to sink. Harrell with no hesitation immediately started to find his way out as rushing waters flooded the ship. The only thing he could think of as he was struggling to escape from the deadly waters was his mom, dad, 6 brothers, two sisters, and his girlfriend that said she would wait for him to come home. Harrell thinking of this recalled to himself, I want to live, I don t want to die . He says that millions of things were going through his brain. Him and 900 to 1,200 men who survived the attack were stranded in the sea, oil soaked, holding onto anything that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. SPA Essay Ajax can be used to develop SPA, but it has some issues with it: 1. Complexity: Execution in any SPA requires DOM structure to be modified again and again asynchronously in an HTML view. Controller is responsible for performing such asynchronous operations and as the application grows large, controller itself becomes complex. The complexity is also increased as developers tries to add more features to existing application. So, for any changes in the view would also require changes in controller as well which increases complexity. 2. Debugging: Any DOM manipulations in the controller are also dependent on events in any HTML view. There is tight coupling between view and controller which can makes it hard to test and debug any application. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It can also capture parameters passed in URI to be assigned to controller in use. The controller can thus read the information from URI and make routing decisions accordingly. 4. Directives Directives have the ability to add new functionalities to the existing DOM. AngularJS has many built in directives such as ngApp, ngController, ngBind etc. These directives have their own functionalities in the AngularJS application. Developers can also create their own directives to add new reusable components. Benefits of SPA: 1. Better User Experience: As Single Page Applications (SPA) has single page only and part of the web page is refreshed dynamically with minimum response time, SPA offers better user experience to users. Unlike In traditional applications whole web page is reloaded completely which is sometimes unnecessary and may even not feasible on slow network connections. 2. Compatibility: SPA can be easily deployed on other platforms such as mobile, Tablet or Desktop. Developer can reuse the same piece of code for web version and mobile application also. 3. Easy deployment and version control: Deployment in production server is very easy in case of SPA as there are separate client and server logic. One can easily deploy at client part as only 3 files are typically needed: a single page(.html), a CSS bundle, and a JavaScript bundle. Rollback to previous version is also very easy in case of ... • 5. Coming Of Age In Mississippi Essay African Americans fought long and hard to achieve racial equality during the Civil Rights movement through protests and boycotts. But, not all forms of protest were violent. Sit ins were a non violent form of protest and proved to be a very effective. Students would go into a restaurant or cafe, order food, sit down at the white area, demand service, and not leave until they got served. They never got served; this form of protest would go on for weeks. Whites would throw food and other remains on them making the headlines at newspapers. Coming of Age in Mississippi, an autobiography written by Anne Moody, is about the life of Moody; beginning with her childhood and ending at the end of her college years. Moody was an activist during the Civil Rights movement and organized several sit ins herself. Those who engaged in sit ins were arrested, threatened by the KKK, and banned to return to their hometowns. During the Civil Rights movement, sit ins served ... Whites refused to give them that freedom and protests such as sit ins were done to receive that freedom. Police started arresting everybody that had anything to do with sit ins and many started to question why? White people began to also engage in this form of protest; even more attention was drawn. The more people that police arrested, the more there were that protested. In the eyes of the southern whites, having African Americans sit in at white lunch counters was against their unwritten law. • 6. Victim Typology Sellin And Wolfgang Summary Summary Typology by Selling and Wolfgang Perry B Keaton Victimo logy 2 Instructor: Fabrienne McDowell July 26, 2015 Summary Typology by Selling and Wolfgang 1 Discuss the victim typology offered by Sellin and Wolfgang. In order for me to do this I first have to give a definition of the word to get a better understanding of it. Typology is the study or systematic classification of types that have characteristics or traits in common. But how do the definition correspond with Selling and Wolfgang theory I will try to explain it in this brief paper. After reading the short segment from Selling and Wolfgang it determine that they have broken down Typology into five category in which I will discuss each one and give ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This involve more of a business of corporation selling you something that is faulty of a worst case scenario someone embezzle money from your local church. The third one Tertiary victimization is really no stranger to us because this one happens on a daily basis. It involves a highly government official who takes pleasure trips and writes them off as business expenses is cheating the public. Mutual victimization is when two or people are involved in a crime then all of certain the crime goes haywire and the others that are involved in the crime become the victim. How often have we seen this to occur? For example the first robber get angry at the other two because they did not divide the money correctly between them so he turn around and robs them. The final one of the five categories is called no victimization, I really did not understand this to the fullest but I think it involves when no one can be blame for crime which weird to me. I guess what they are trying to explain here if two individual committing and illegal act which one would take the blame for it. For example illegal prostitution between two adults in gage into a sexual ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Right from the get go, when Muriel s mother expresses that there s a very great chance... that Seymour may completely lose control of himself (Salinger 2), we see how people surrounding Seymour are concerned for his mental health due to a host of his previous erratic behaviors. These include funny business with the trees [when driving] , that business with the window [he broke it] , and the horrible things he said to Granny about her plans for passing away (Salinger 2), which when compounded, clearly demonstrates Seymour s struggle to reconnect with society. The Democratic Republic of Korea is a communist dictatorship with Kim Jong un declaring himself the Supreme Leader. The Republic of Korea, otherwise known as South Korea, is a non communist state with Moon Jae in as its president. It is a democratic republic with three branches of government. North Korea and South Korea were once one nation under Japan. After World War II, the United States and the Soviet Union were no longer allies and both became world superpowers in their own right. Since the Joint Commission failed to establish a government to unify Korea, the country was split into North Korea and South Korea. Because of the United States and the Soviet Union not being able to build a government together, Korea was divided into North Korea and South Korea, permanently establishing their own governments. The attempt at unification failed, then each country (the United States and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic) worked to politically influence the portion of Korea that they occupied. The Soviet Union pushed for the spread of communism and the United States pushed for a democratic and capitalistic society. The United States and the Soviet Union had many resources that allowed them to greatly influence the development of the part of Korea that they occupied. From 1948 to 1950 the Soviet Union greatly influenced communism in North Korea by supplying them with weapons and military supplies (Korean War). The weapons given to the North Koreans helped to advance them in national security. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So how can that definition be taken in? Is a non profit organization just a business trying to avoid paying taxes? That could be the case though let us delve a little deeper. Recognizing Non Profit Organizations Taking a look at non profit organizations will breed a sense of familiarity. Five of the most known and recognizable non profits are National Public Radio (NPR), United Nations Children s Fund (UNICEF), Human Rights Watch (HRW), Wiki Leaks, and Green Peace. These are all organizations we have come across with familiarity, with maybe the exception of Green Peace. As any avid listener of National Public Radio I can attest to the programs being run on the basis of callers calling in and pledging donations to help keep certain programs as well as the station afloat. Some of these other organizations are also based upon donation interaction, however, to label their financial situation as strictly donation base would be an ignorant train of thought. All of these organizations do a great job acquiring revenue to help the operation of the organization. Financial Stability Being financially stable is an issue of any organization or corporation. • 13. Causes And Effects Of Bullying Triston Norris Battle/Martinez English 111 10/23/15 Causes and Effects of Bullying Bullying is a big issue that spreads through the world. It can happen to anyone of all ages, and in numerous ways. Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among people that involves a real or perceived power imbalance that either repeats or has the potential to repeat, overtime (Bullying Definition). There are so many factors that tie into bullying such as, why the bully is actually bullying, why the bully chose that victim, or even the effects that occur while the bullying is taking place. Low self esteem is a common reason why someone would want to bully a person. Low self esteem is the lack of pride a person feels in themselves. Often times a bully feels like they are less than others and the only way for them to feel better about themselves is to try to bring others down. A lot of bullies aren t trying to hurt someone physically, they use words and certain remarks to torture a person, making that person feel just as less as them just to uplift their own self esteem. Although low self esteem is a cause narcissism is also a factor to bullying. Not only can a bully feel less of themselves but they can also feel that they are higher or better than others. Cockiness is a trait seen in many bullies. This may show in people such as jocks at a high school, or a fellow co worker that may have a higher position or make a higher salary. • 14. Baseball Of The Baseball Rule INTRODUCTION Baseball ballpark owners owe a duty of care to spectators who attend games their stadiums. Historically, there has been a devotion to the baseball rule , which is essentially a tool of public policy used to protect stadium owners. However, there is very little consensus on what exactly the rule entails and how it is applied across all jurisdictions. While this rule is justified based on a limited amount of data, Gallatin legislature should either reshape it to better reflect modern tort doctrine or continue operating on a case by case basis, taking all facts and situation based evidence into account. BASEBALL RULE The Baseball Rule has been widely adopted by courts in jurisdiction considering the legal duty of landowners owed to spectators at baseball games. The Baseball Rule has two main components: the owner must screen the most dangerous section of the field (typically the area behind the Homeplate) and the screening provided must be adequate to provide covering for as many spectators who desire protected seats. Spectators that willingly choose to watch the game in unscreened areas assume the open and obvious risk of being struck by a ball. With the Baseball Rule clearly limiting the landowner s legal duty, ballpark owners avoid potential lawsuits for every ball that strikes a spectator. Without the Baseball Rule, under general principles of landowner liability for negligence, spectator injuries are considered on a case by case basis upon criteria ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The 21st century has brought about much needed conversions in America. Conversations including gay marriage rights, fair pay between men and women, gun control laws and many others. These conversations emerge when our basic human rights are infringed upon. Thus, healthcare in America is not immune to these conversations; on the contrary, our healthcare system has numerous issues to address. Among of them, dementia may be one of the most important. Why, you may ask? Let us begin with the fact that dementia is the sixth leading cause of death in America. According to the RAND Corporation, backed by the federal administration, 15 percent of people aged 71 or older, about 3.8 million people, have dementia 5. That information might sound irrelevant to some but it is vital in understanding the future. In the same report, it is stated that by 2040 that estimate will inflate to 9.1 million people 5. The rapid progression is due to the maturation of the baby boomer generation. According to Dr. Richard J. Hodes, director of the National Institute on Aging, there are going to be more older people with fewer children to be informal caregivers for them, which is going to intensify the problem even more. The question of how future Americans deal with end of life advanced dementia has not been nationally agreed upon. Not only will the increase of the elderly population cause the inevitable ... Banking Reforms In Nigeria Essay 1.0 Introduction Banking reforms have been an on going phenomenon around the world right from the 1980s, but it is more intensified in recent time because of the impact of globalisation which is precipitated by continuous integration of the world market and economies. Banking reforms involve several elements that are unique to each country based on historical, economic and institutional imperatives. In Nigeria, the reforms in the banking sector preceded against the backdrop of banking crisis due to highly undercapitalization deposit taking banks; weakness in the regulatory and supervisory framework; weak management practices; and the tolerance of deficiencies in the corporate governance behaviour of banks (Uchendu, 2005). The banking sector in emerging economies has witnessed major changes to compete, attract international investment and increase capital market growth. Banking crisis usually starts with inability of the bank to meet its financial obligations to its stakeholders. This, in most cases, precipitates runs on banks, the banks and their customers engage in massive credit recalls and withdrawals which sometimes necessitate Central Bank liquidity support to the affected banks. Some terminal intervention mechanisms may occur in the form of consolidation (mergers and acquisitions), recapitalization, use of bridge banks, establishment of asset management companies to assume control and recovery of bank assets, and outright liquidation of non redeemable banks. Bank consolidation, which is at the core of most banking system reform programmes, occurs, some of the time, independent of any banking crisis. Irrespective of the cause, however, bank consolidation is implemented to strengthen the banking system, embrace globalization, improve healthy competition, exploit economies of scale, adopt advanced technologies, raise efficiency and improve profitability(eseoghene,2010). • 18. Questioning the Reason of Human Existence on Earth in the... In the play Waiting For Godot, Beckett questions the purpose of human existence on Earth and reflects uncertainties in life through a series of meaninglessness events and acts played by the characters. The play contains only two acts and involves Pozzo and Lucky, who meet Vladimir and Estragon while they are waiting for Godot in both acts. Instead of evolving in a narratively structured order, the play unfolds in anti theatre fashion. Through Beckett s use of language, set, and the diminishing spiral , he presents the play in a way that one is not sure of what, if anything, happens or the significance of the characters. Thus, Beckett seems to want his audiences to think and analyze the play in a way that they normally would not. As we already know, Beckett s play is anti theatre, which means that his play does not follow the classical theatre format that unfolds in order from exposition, complication, crisis, climax to resolution. In fact, Beckett designs the play in a diminishing spiral fashion, which means that the play has no structure. It does not have a beginning, an end or a resolution. Besides a sense of time, which is demonstrated through day and night and the leaves on the trees in both acts, the two aimless characters, Vladimir and Estragon spend their time waiting and not knowing for whom. The play has no plot and the characters do not develop over time. For example, the characters forget about act I when they are in act II. This shows that the plot is not ... Traditionally reason had been the key of business world, but this book has raised Emotional Intelligence for the key. In Primal Leadership, Daniel Goleman divided leadership style into six and discovered they are related to Emotional Intelligence. The six leadership styles are below : 1. Coercive leadership. They are not likely to accept other members opinions, but give directions clearly. Furthermore, they control the organisation severely and want detailed report from their employees. They just want others to follow him/her, but do not like to explain. This kind of leadership focuses on bad results rather than good ones. As this style is the worst effective one, other types of leadership need to be used with this one. It should be used very carefully. 2. The Mirabal sisters became politicized in different ways and for different reasons. Minerva became a revolutionary when she saw that her country was unjust. Mate became a revolutionary when she see s that love is not alienated in the rebellion and that her help is needed. Patria became a revolutionary when her faith was rekindled and her faith becomes apart of the revolution. Minerva, the first sister to become politicized, does so when she meets someone whose life has been directly, and negatively, influenced by Trujillo in a horrible manner. When Minerva goes to Immaculada Concepcion she meets a young girl named Sinita who tells her about what Trujillo has done to her family. One of her family members spoke out against the dictator and for that reason he and the rest of the men in the family were killed. When Minerva hears this she stands up for Trujillo and Sinita responds by saying Don t you get it? Minerva, don t you see? Trujillo is having everyone killed! (19). This statement by her friend opens Minerva s eyes. She had not realized how awful people were being affected by him. He was having people killed so that he could have power, and nobody knew about it. This opening of her eyes is how she was politicized. She was aware of the atrocities and wanted to help free herself and her country from someone she viewed as the devil himself. Minerva is politicized when someone she cares for is deeply affected by the harsh nature of the regime. Minerva is politicized because her picture of justice was shattered. Minerva had always wanted to be a lawyer and therefore had very strong feelings about justice and what is wrong or right. When she saw that the man she had always assumed was flawless had flaws, and huge ones at that she would have wanted to do something about it. Minerva says it best when she says And that s how I got free. I don t ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

What Is The Purpose Of Caroline s Wedding Purpose Without purpose, all people would not have the strength to get up and face the challenges that present themselves during the course of every day, regardless of the background they come from. Finding a purpose allows the people to survive and press on despite the adversities they face.
