The Ethics And Integrity Of Two Research Articles
This assignment will analyze the ethics and integrity of two research articles. The first article, Social
Networking and Professional Ethics: Client Searches, Informed Consent, and Disclosure (Harris,
Robinson Kurpius, 2014). The second article, Child Rights as a Framework for Advancing
Professional Standards for Practice, Ethics, and Professional Development in School Psychology
(Nastasi and Naser, 2014). The standards and key portions of the American Psychological Association
(APA) Code of Ethics (2010) of each article will be identified. Issues of ethics and integrity as they
apply to scholarly research and practice will be discussed. In conclusion, new understanding and
insight gained from the two articles will be described.
First, the standards and key portions of the APA (2010) Code of Ethics identified by each article are
described. Both articles demonstrated the practice of scholarly writing by applying the APA (2010)
Code of Ethics. Specifically, APA (2010) sections 8.11 Plagiarism, 8.12 Publication Credit and 8.13
Duplicate Publication of Data were applied via APA formatting and style in the composing of the
articles.
Harris and Robinson Kurpius (2014) present specific references to the APA (2010) Code of Ethics.
Harris and Robinson Kurpius (2014) begin with noting APA (2010) Ethical Principles does not
specifically address the standards for social networking site. (p. 12) Next Harris and Robinson

Essay On Race And Reunion
Throughout the course of this semester I can say that I have learned more about the civil war and
racial tensions than I have in my whole life. Through that knowledge I can make the argument that
you can make the comparison between the time periods. No not all the comparisons come from the
racial tensions of the times, other comparisons come from the political tensions and the economy.
When looking back you can make several comparisons to Abraham Lincoln s past, to Donald Trump s.
And those who came before both men, even some of the similar issues faced during the elections. The
big question here is if we should make the comparison, or is it dragging up unnecessary tensions that
really mean nothing? Well, is it unnecessary if what happened ... Show more content on

We take a look at David blight s book Race and Reunion, which is based directly after the civil war,
we see more of the direct effects of the civil war outcome. There was a bigger effect in the country
directly after the war, but within 10 years of the end of the civil war things reverted back to the way
they were before. Then come reconstruction where we see probably the biggest change in the country,
people actually try and revert back to before the civil war in the antebellum period. White southerners
actually try and ignore that the civil war, even happened and why it happens. We see more of the
complete denial of the civil war in Lillian Smith book Killers of a Dream, based early 1900s follows
the life of a white southern girl and how she saw the south. Even though she told us a side of the south
many southerners would die before admit to it still was not the real south, she was blinded by her
upbringing. Like many of the people in the south they knew something was wrong, but chose to ignore
it. We then venture to Pete Daniels Lost Revolutions, which hit directly in the 50s and 60s and told an
unbiased look at the south and all the wrongdoing going on not only in the south but all over the
country. Based on the book we can take a look into the racial tensions going on, the events which led
to the rioting, and the effects it had on the actual outcome of the civil rights

David Wiesner And The Three Pigs Comparison
The Three Pigs by David Wiesner received the 2002 Randolph Caldecott Medal. In The Three Pigs,
David Wiesner retold the classic tale of The Three Little Pigs. However, through the use of 3D images,
David Wiesner provides readers with a modern and entertaining version that all ages can enjoy. The
Three Pigs is an award winning picture book because of its 3D images and comic book style panels.
The story that David Wiesner presents is based on the loopholes in the original The Three Little Pigs
fable. However, readers would not understand the differences without the 3D illustrations. Fo
example, in The Three Pigs, David Wiesner depicted the pigs being blown out of their panels. In
addition, the pigs are able to travel from panel to panel in

Self-Recognition And Child Development
Child development in general is something most people do not really think of. Even if someone has
children they do not really think about it unless something seems wrong with their child. Ever since
this class I never really thought too much about how we all develop. A lot of things we learned in this
were actually surprising to me but I could only choose one. I chose to look at an experiment on self
recognition because I found it very interesting that the researchers used a mirror to understand how the
infants would react. In the self recognition experiment the researchers put the infants in front of a
mirror and tried putting different things on them to see if they could recognize themselves. Putting a
child in front of a mirror to see if ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Child development is not as easy as that. Infants need to see themselves multiple times in the mirror to
develop self recognition. I was surprised with what I learned because it made me start to think about
development in general not only with self recognition. Development is not something that happens
overnight. This study proves it because an infant will not realize themselves the first time they look in
a mirror they will need to get used to the things around them and realize they are looking at the other
objects so the person they are looking at has to be themselves. This is an important study because is an
infant does not have self recognition there could be something wrong with them. All stages of
development are important because the sooner doctors find out their development is behind the sooner
the problem can be fixed so the child will not be behind in their stages of

How Does Blake Use Figurative Language In The Lamb
The Lamb , a poem from a series written by William Blake, begins with and revolves around a young
lamb who has not yet experienced the world and its mishaps. Center of the poem, the lamb is
continuously being examined. Through the use of rhetorical questions, allusions, symbols, and other
figurative language, Blake clearly illustrates the theme that innocence provides a means for taking joy
in natural creation. While the lamb referred to in this poem of Blake s is portrayed to be tender and
very childlike, I would not say that the poem was made solely for the eyes of the youth. One way this
poem has been perceived that opposes my opinion is that Blake wrote it for children to see or hear
(Bussey 2001). This must have been gathered from the way Blake uses simplistic verses involving
allusions to the lamb of the bible or, Jesus Christ as children are often taught. However, what this view
fails to acknowledge despite the poem s effortlessness is the level of vocabulary such as words like
mead , vales , and meek . These words may at first not appear very difficult, but when seen from the
eyes of perhaps an eight year old, they may not completely grasp the full picture. ... Show more

When really thought through, the lamb does not know who made thee. In the world inhabited by the
child in The Lamb, questions are just a playful pretense. The purpose of these questions is to get the
knowledge of the nature of life circulating, so it can make all the vales rejoice. (Aubrey 2011). What
Aubrey is getting at here, which I completely agree with, is that Blake uses these rhetorical questions
to get imagination going, allowing the reader to become intellectually and emotionally involved in his

Flood In Florida Panhandle
At 6pm on April 30th, 2014, a life threatening disaster struck the Florida panhandle. At that time,
Florida residents were not aware of the rain and flooding that was about engulf Pensacola and the
surrounding areas. But as time began to pass, it became obvious this was not an ordinary storm. As the
rain poured and the lightning struck, many people lost power and television connection, unable to see
that what was thought to be a small storm would set national records and be the cause for severe
weather threats. This event taught me how to prevent a disastrous situation in dire conditions as well
as the importance of being prepared.
As the rain poured down around 6pm, it became obvious that this thunderstorm was severe. My family
listened to the weather alerts on Channel 3, WEAR, and after two hours, the rain did not relent. We
knew we needed to check for flooding issues around our house. My dad pulled on a slick black
raincoat and walked up our downward slanting driveway to the road, where he discovered that the cul
de sac s road across the street had sent a river of water directly down our driveway. My mom and I
turned on the flood lights to see our backyard and four foot white picket fence lining ... Show more

As the sun rose, we saw that the water flow washed most of our driveway away. However, that was a
small price to pay, as our house had not suffered any flood damage. Upon further research, we
discovered that the single fatality of the storm died just two to three minutes from our house after she
drove into the flooding and was submerged in her car. When sharing this story, I hope the reader
realizes that having the right preparations for natural disasters can mean the difference between safety
and thousands of dollars in damage. Without my dad s smart thinking, my house would have been
flooded with multiple inches of water, or even

Isaiah s Influence On The Jewish Community
Living in a time of corruption, social oppression and Assyrian devastation, the Jewish prophet Isiah
wrote about concepts and ideologies that have heavily influenced the lives of individual adherents and
Jewish communities throughout time. Isaiah s influence on the adherents of Judaism is momentous as
the book of Isaiah, which contains his writings, is found in the Nevi im the book of Prophets which
Jewish adherents and communities read, study and look to for guidance. Isaiah s vision for morality
and denunciation of hypocrisy allowed for a more holistic approach to life, rejecting immorality and
moving towards earthly peace under divine justice. (insert on screen 2:4).

In response to Assyrian s threats, King Hezekiah in accordance with Isaiah 37:1 4, went into the
temple of the Lord... to the prophet Isaiah . Here, Isaiah explains that they should not be afraid, as the
enemy will return to his country and he will be cut down with the sword , stated in 2 Kings 19:7,
underlying the significance of Isaiah s prophecies that there is no peace for the wicked (57:21). In a
more contemporary context, we see how Isaiah s role in constructing a vision for peace manifests in
the lives of individual adherents. In particular, religious author Scott M. Thomas refers to his global
vision of human security , a concept similar to the United Nation s ideal of peace under international
law , which states that nations should live harmoniously under a divine system of justice . Also, in
Ralph Bunche Park outside of the UN headquarters, there is a wall which has Isaiah 2:4 engraved into
it and also a bronze sculpture by Soviet Evgenii Vuchetich, of a man hitting a hammer into his sword,
entitled We Shall Beat Our Swords into Plowshares , a reference to Isaiah 2:4. These both illustrate the
huge impact Isaiah had in the approach to and development of earthly peace. Former Prime Minister
of Israel and Orthodox Jewish adherent Yitzhak Rabin continued Isaiah s belief of a universal peace
stating, here to speak in the name of the poets and of those who dreamed of an end

At Land Maya Deren
At Land (1944) is an experimental fifteen minute silent film written, directed and starring Maya
Deren. Composer John Cage and poet film critic Parker Tyler were also involved in making the film.
It deconstructs narrative conventions and experiments with film techniques. It has a dream like
narrative in which a woman played by Deren, is washed up on a beach, like a fish and goes on an
unfamiliar passage encountering other people and other versions of herself. Throughout the film there
s lots of going through, climbing up, down, through. Deren is clearly searching for something; her
expressions are often confused and hopeless. This film is open to multiple readings and interpretations
but I believe the film depicts the tensions between self and society. Throughout the film Deren

Violation of Fourteenth Amendment Due Process Rights
FACTS Appellant Brady was found guilty of first degree murder by the Maryland Court system.
During his trial hearing Brady admitted to participating in the organization and forethought of the
crime with a partner, although plead that he himself did not commit the crime. After disclosing his
involvement, Brady s lawyer admitted to his guilt but asked for a lesser penalty since Brady didn t
commit the murder. Before trial Brady s council asked for all relevant information to the trial and were
given most, but not all of it. The withholding of evidence was a violation of due process laws in which
a new trial was requested. A new trial was granted but only for sentencing and not a retrial of fact.
PROCEDURAL HISTORY Brady was convicted of murder in the first degree even though he
proclaimed not have committed the murder and that his partner in crime carried out the deed, no pun
intended. His accomplice had admitted to committing the murder in a separate trial which Brady
learned of later on. The confession of his accomplice was suppressed and not shared with the defense
as it had been requested. After the defense learned of this suppression, an appeal was filed and
remanded the case for retrial of sentencing only. The United States Supreme Court upheld the decision
and confirmed while the withheld evidence did violate the due process clause, it didn t prove
innocence and a granting just a new sentencing trial was legal.

Robert Cohn Isolationism
The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway perfectly encapsulates the confused, alienated, and
immoral generation that matured into adults by the end of World War I. Hemingway opens the novel
with the narrator describing a man named Robert Cohn. He was an insecure Jewish boxer from a well
off family. The narrator ponders the reasons for Cohn being a boxer despite not caring much for the
sport. Ultimately, he finds comfort in his conclusion that Robert boxes in order to let off steam, in fact
he says, being very shy and a thoroughly nice boy, he never fought anyone except for in the gym.
Hemingway is setting up Cohn s character as a metaphor for the older generation. Cohn is shown to
have a strict set of morals and believes only resorting to violence when necessary. ... Show more

Later on, the reader finds out that Cohn is not a war veteran, despite all of his friends having served.
Robert has not faced the violence that the others have. He, like the older generation, will never
understand the trauma and change brought on by WWI. He assumes he can still move on with the
morals taught to him by his parents, and their parents before them, despite all that has happened.
Correspondingly, Harding s presidency was founded on the same idea, a Return to normalcy . This is
proven wrong when Cohn breaks and attacks Jake, even though Jake had done nothing wrong to him.
This directly contradicted Cohn s beliefs and left him confused and upset. Afterwards, Jake returns to
the hotel to find Robert crying in the dark. He asks to shake Jake s hand through his tears. This is
representative of the shattering of previous beliefs and the desperate measures to get them back in the
early 1920 s. Cohn resorts to what he knows, despite it not fixing his actions. The damage had been
done, and no amount of pretending could change

Research Paper On Augmented Reality
Augmented Reality
By Naqi Ahmad
Augmented reality is the integration of digital information with the user s environment in real time. So
unlike virtual reality which creates a very artificial environment. A.R uses the existing environment
and overlays new information on top of it.
Overview
In 1960 the First Augmented Reality System was created by Ivan Sutherland. He went on to invent the
head mounted display and suggested It was a window into the virtual World . Bob Sproull his student
helped Ivan Sutherland to create the first Augmented Reality headset, it was called the Sword of
Damocles. The term Augmented Reality was coined by researcher Tom Caudell in 1990s. In 1994
Julie Martin Creates the very first augmented reality theatre production, by doing this she brought
augmented reality into the media. The camera systems started to develop by 2005 that can analyse

Constantine s Use Of Constantinople As A Site Of Byzantium
Constantinople was a city strategically built both on the outside and inside. Constantine founded
Constantinople on the remains of Byzantium for economic and military reasons, which were
excellently seen through in the city. With the benefits of those actions, Constantine developed a rich
and religious community for his citizens. The site of Byzantium was located on a peninsula and
therefore had innate advantages with trade and protection. Being surrounded by water meant trade
across the Black Sea from the front and two ports on the sides. This led to economic diversity and
prosperity. The water also served as a means of protection, as invaders were not likely to attack via
fleet. With danger primarily coming from one side of the city, a

Positive Women In Emergency Medical Services
Positive Female Influences in Emergency Medical Services

Coming into the emergency medical service world as a woman you can face many difficulties. It takes
a strong individual and committed woman to enter into emergency medical services. Women are the
minority in this field so there can be many twists and turns having a career in EMS. Women got their
feet into the EMS career world by becoming firefighters first. The first woman firefighter was in 1815

Women and men together make a great team for emergency medical services because, it is such a wide
variety of things we encounter. On some calls men are much better at communicating with the patient
and at other times women are. Entering into the EMS field, I knew there would be things to overcome
such as harassment, hostile situations and many other challenges to get through. You have to love what
you do to make it through daily life in your job. It is very difficult to be first responders and you never
know what type of situation you are going to enter into. Also, I am sure some patients and family
members may think when they see a small woman like me; is she capable to move me, lift that heavy
equipment, and so on. I put my all in everything I do and have a true passion from the heart in helping
others. I know if you are a woman and want to be in this field you can as long as you put your mind to
it and stay dedicated. In some situations it is more difficult on women than it is men to deal with
current things but, that also applies to men as well. I set a goal of becoming a Paramedic and in the
future going above and beyond that. Being a Paramedic student I know how much hard work and
dedication it takes to have a career that is satisfying. Not that being a Paramedic is all enjoyable, but it

you might have heard about in passing or that keep popping up in conversations. Some you might

American author Nathanael West published his novel, The Day of the Locust, in 1939. It is set in
Hollywood and tells the story of Tod Hackett, a young artist. Tod moves to California in the hope of
finding inspiration for his next painting and ends up working for a Hollywood studio. It is here where
Tod ends up interacting with the strange people on the fringes of the film industry. The novel sold less
than 2000 copies after it was first published and the author died shortly afterwards in a car crash.
However, it soon became a cult classic and by the late nineties ended up on the list of 100 best English
language novels of the 20th century.

An Ode To The User-Friendly Pencil
Old school conquers new school: A personal response to An Ode to the User Friendly Pencil
Technology is upgrading itself and is, perhaps, taking over the world. From virtual reality to
supercomputers, people are depending more on technology in their everyday lives, but is it necessary?
Technology has reached the point where Samsung phones are becoming C4 explosives and 4K
televisions do not display 4K quality. In An Ode to the User Friendly Pencil by Bonnie Laing, she
explains how a simple pencil that we use in our everyday lives is better than a complex computer that
is technologically advanced, and through her ironic tone and economic line of reasoning, she gets that
message across to her readers which I firmly agree on. In her essay, she utilizes irony to add a
sarcastic tone in her essay, making the essay more enjoyable for readers to read. An example of this is
the use of computer jargon to explain why the pencil is the better tool. Laing states how the software
of a pencil is both cheap and simple (332) and how you can render it ... Show more content on

An example of that is how she fought and wrestled with [her] microchips (Laing, 332), which is an

a computer, and I agree with that. A computer is not smart; instead, it is the exact opposite. This is
because without a user, a computer is just a sitting duck without the proper programming. It needs to
be programmed to perform certain tasks or it needs a user to give it something to do in order to be
useful, which is what software engineers do for a living. From taking computer science, I can tell you
it is not an easy task, but rather, a hardworking one since we wrestle with the OS rather than the

The large animal I would like to be is the African Lion. Simply because I think they re majestic, regal,

only large cat species that live in groups called Prides . The lion is an impressive animal whose head

percent of their pension, while it saved the company an estimated $200 million. The company did
agree to offer more employees a choice of plan, but the unpopular move is still a blot upon IBM s
otherwise positive leadership in the area of employee relations. (Business Ethics Corporate Social

Why spend money that is really needed for other things? Why live uncomfortably? Why be trapped in
this hole called a home that belongs to another person? Why not live free and peacefully? When a
person rents he or she usually throws away money that could be used to purchase something that
belongs to them. Money is not easy to come by so why pay out hundreds toward something that is not
benefit to the person paying it out. There is no good explanation for making a decision like this. The
best option in a situation like this is to buy a house. Buying a house is a better option than renting an
apartment.
Buying a house has some very good ownership benefits. As a buyer and not an actual ... Show more

Buying a house provides stability forever unless the owner decides to sell or to move into another
home in which the owner gains equity for selling. This is still a huge benefit. Owning a home is a very
huge security measure. When a person is an actual homeowner and not a renter he or she can control
who actually enters his or her home (Map, 2011). It is easier to purchase home alarm systems and
everything that goes on in a person s home is controlled by the owner. As a homeowner the option of
what is allowed and what goes on is controlled by the actual homeowner. If an issue comes up and the
owner has to move somewhere else then this is a huge benefit. As a seller a person can earn so much
money and it can build equity (Media, 2010). Usually homes sell for way more than the purchase
prices, especially if the owner has customized the home, in which was discussed earlier (RP Reality,
2011). The selling price could be a huge benefit to any owner who is selling their home and moving.
These benefits cannot be earned by an apartment renter. Buying a home is the best route to choose in
any situation. Buying a home means actually owning something. There is no more following another
person s rules, no more paying out unnecessary money. It means a sense of security and stability for a
person s family. It is the key to a better lifestyle. The benefits are all there. There is

Figure 1: Forecasted Growth for the Internet of Things (IDA, 2012)
Applications and Business opportunities of the internet of things
The sudden growth in IT investment is linked with the growth of IOT and therefore naturally an era of
increased investment comes with increased business opportunities. The following section describes
some of the applications of the internet of things and the opportunities in which they will bring.
Retail
Applications within the retails sector offer a major opportunity for business to reduce cost and
increase profit. The implementation of the internet of things will enable retailers to track their
inventory in real time. With products on shelves equipped with technologies such RFID TAGS and
smart shelves would be equipped with sensors, retailers would be able to track the movement of
products and quickly replace out of stock items. (Thomas W. Gruen, 2007)
Business opportunity: For businesses this offers a major cost saving opportunity. An estimated 3.9% of
sales losses each year are accounted for by shelves going empty of products in demands. With the use
of sensors within retail, this would not happen due to the

Public Funding should not support Public Schools in Music and Arts
Education is one of the major problems faced by US as a nation and several debates pertaining to
allocation of education funds are underway. The use of public education funds is one such matter
which is debated very highly. The consequences of public education fund s spending are long term
which makes this issue very important. Also, limited availability of public funds makes it essential for
these funds to be used in a manner which are more beneficial. The essays will discusses why public

These parents regard playing a musical instrument as a highly difficult and demanding task. This
implies that those students who aim to get good grades with music are likely to receive very poor
grades in other conventional subjects. therefore, should not have compulsory status in public schools
which are funded by taxpayers resources. Further, it is argued that the standard curriculum teaches
abstract reasoning, mathematics, sciences and medicine which has great value, even if the skills
acquired are not, thereafter, directly usable in everyday life. The study of arts and music gives no
practical application. The objective of public education funds must be of helping students to develop
valuable skills for their practical lives. It is believed that the study of mathematics, language, science,
etc. provides both useable knowledge and abstract skills.
The paper discussed why public funds should not support arts and music education and evaluated the
assertion that education for arts and music is a less useful allocation of educational resources than
traditional subjects. It is concluded that the cost for provision of arts and music education in public
school system is very high. Further, it is discussed that eliminating music education from the
curriculum of public schools would enable

Height Of A Marble Essay
We designed an investigation to find the answer to the question How does the height of a marble affect
the work it does on the cup? The question explores how the height has an affect on the amount of
work done on the cup and the amount of gravitational potential the marble has. We tested this by
creating an experiment in which we dropped a marble down a ramp to hit and move a cup while
testing the different heights we collected the data of how far the cup moved and used it to create a
trend and a claim that resolved the objective question. The claim, which is the general statement of
conclusion as of the result of an experiment, is the higher the height of an object the more
gravitational potential (GPE) it has and the more work that will be done on the object hit. So in this
case that higher the marble is dropped from the more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
30 cm in height with an average of 95 cm of movement from the cup, 20 cm in height with an average
of 62.7 cm in movement, and 10 cm in height and an average movement of 34.8 cm. This data proves
and supports the trend as with the increase of height the average distance of movement from the cup
increases as the trend stated it would. This trend in a way was also backed by Galileo Galilei as he
found that the longer an object falls the faster it moves, with an increase of velocity being 32 ft or 9.8
m per second. As the object is moving faster that means an increase in in kinetic energy and with an
increase in kinetic energy comes an increase in the collision force or amount of work done on the
object hit. This increase in kinetic energy is also seen in the increase of mass, when the mass grows as
does the kinetic energy, where on collision they made a bigger impact with mass. So it s as a whole
not the change in mass or height, but the increase or decrease in kinetic energy caused by the change
in mass or height or any other given

Grendel In The Epic Vs. Modern Beowulf
Epic Beowulf vs. Modern Beowulf
In this poem Beowulf was about a man who was the strongest man in the world who had very strong
confidence in a lot of things. He was respectful to the king and listened to what the king had to say. He
was the protector of all the men, He strongly didn t like Grendel the most powerful monster that lived
in darkness, he was set on getting rid of Grendel for the King to pay him back for what he did to save
his father. He was a courageous young man who was very knowledgeable and extremely intelligent.
But there s a twist on the events between the Epic Beowulf and the new Modern Beowulf and how his
character showed the difference and braveness.
Grendel is a powerful monster who lives deep down in the darkness who hears loud music in the hall,
and the harp of rejoicing. He dislikes the loud noises so he decides to go to King s village and kills
mostly everyone in the hall and rips one person in half and eats another one. Not only did Grendel
already visited Hrothgar s home once before hand, he even knew there. But never before or after that
night, he found herot defend his reception, he was still joyful. Grendel then finds ... Show more

Uniforms Should Be Paid In High School
In Springfield, Illinois a 6th grader was bullied by her classmates because her mom bought her too
fancy of clothes. She was told that she should dress more like a kid by wearing apple bottom jeans and
Nikes. One of the difficult aspects of high school besides the hard course load is fitting in. Uniforms
are beneficial and should be required at more schools because they prevent kids from getting bullied,
they are proven to help kids grades, and they help keep kids safe.
Kids all over the world get bullied in school for many reasons, just one of the being what they wear.
With some families having more money than others some kids have a bigger budget for clothing than
others. This leads to those kids with less money sometimes getting bullied because of their clothes.
From the story in the introduction you can see that people with less clothes aren t the only people who
get bullied in fact they are just a small portion of the people. Those who have more money and wear
too nice of clothes can get bullied as well or people who don t have the same fashion sense as what is
popular at the time. Kids have a lot on their plate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Wanderer Above The Sea Of Fog Analysis
Don t try to change your past...it s the only truth you ve got (Okhuozagbon). The past can be an
interesting thing then again, so can the future. This suggests the painting, Wanderer Above the Sea of
Fog by Caspar David Friedrich. In the painting, a lone man standing on a crag of rocks overlooking
the sea. His left foot faces the sea and is higher than his right. His slender cane sits on a third point on
the rocks. His blonde hair is flopping in the sea breeze, but his long, green, pleated at the bottom coat
is unaffected. His green pants are swaying in the wind. The sea looks to be angled downwards with the
man in the center. There are at least three more visible outcroppings of rocks in the sea. Two on his
left, and two on his right, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the right, near the mountains, there is almost a rock tower of sorts. A fog of sea spray somewhat
obscures the view. The man seems lost and contemplative. His face is not visible, but his posture
indicates that he is thinking, about what, may never be known but perhaps it is the future. The
message seems to be that of contemplation about the future. The sea is an open expanse of water with
partially visible mountains in the distance. Fog obscures some of the view, except for the outline of the
mountains. The mountains are the end goal, the sea a path, and the fog is the unknown. The man does
not know what the fog obscures but knows that there are mountains in the distance. The fog is the
unknown of his future, the rocks his obstacles, the mountains are his outcome, and the water is his
path to that outcome or goal. The message of his painting is to demonstrate the unknowns of a person
s future and the possible ways it could come out. The man could become trapped on one of the rock
crags or arrive at a different mountain than he thought that he was, but that is the beauty of his future it
is unknown. An open, unknown future can be a beautiful

Analysis Of Los Olvidados
With a great reputation for its historical significance, Los olvidados (1951), a film shot in Mexico
City, directed by Luis Buñuel, endorsed the defining point of his profession. Having studied the given
excerpt of the script from a scene of the film, this report will not only portray intriguing political,
historical and social aspects, but also the phonological, morphological and lexical aspects and how
they influence the given content. The geographical location of this film has also proven to be of
relevant influence. Buñuel succeeded to attract the wider world s interest into his work as it was his
intention to make everyone realise the truth. Ironically, Buñuel being a surrealist director, Los
olvidados was not a surreal film. It was the first film directly addressing not only the issues identified
with the Mexican society but also Mexican cinema itself. From here, the attributes of Mexican cinema
were perpetually replaced.
Content Analysis
Los olvidados is based around the unfortunate events of streetboys whom gradually commit
lawlessness and breach the law under the influence on Jaibo, their leader. The given excerpt of the
script takes place in the beginning of the film, set in the Mexican slums. It is understood that Jaibo has
escaped from reform school, spots the boys in the street and reveals his encounters of the inside to
them. Many themes are picked up upon throughout this scene, the most fundamental being: Child
poverty, crime, machismo and more.
Commencing one of the main noticeable themes is poverty, which can be seen towards the end of the
given excerpt of the script. Child poverty is presented where Jaibo asks for a cigarette, which Cacarizo
replies to with Ni cigarros, ni quinto, mano. (Pountain: 209). It is inferred that the boys have
essentially nothing which can be linked to the historical aspects of Mexico city may have influenced
Buñuel s work. Due to the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (1927) creating an economy based on
the political views of themselves and the more prestigious citizens of mexico, with only the rich
getting wealthier, leaving the rest unprivileged and poverty stricken. This also meant further widening

My Experience In Canada
Ever wonder what walking the Great Wall of China would be like? Ever dreamed of feeling the fresh
cold air of Canada? What s it like eating baguettes in France next to the Eiffel Tower? Traveling is a
popular dream among all of us, and making it a reality is a great learning experiences! I visited
Canada in April of 2017, and had a personal emotional attachment to the culture and the whole
environment, and the people I traveled with could say the same. Traveling is truly the most exciting
part in a person s life because it makes their dreams of meeting different cultures a reality and gives
them perspectives of seeing the world differently.
Traveling is an exciting learning experience. When people want to learn a different language, traveling
a different country will tremendously help them learn it. People usually learn their first language by
hearing it all the time by their family. When foreigners go to a different country, assimilating to the
language is much easier if they continue to hear it. When I visited Canada, and heard Canadian French
on the radio, in the streets, and in their music, it felt wonderful that I could understand what they were
saying and it made it easier actually processing the beautiful language. I always wondered why I
couldn t learn French that well in the United States of America, it s because I was so used to hearing
English all the time. This proves that traveling helps people learn languages better because hearing

Tony Stark s Ethical Decisions In The Film Ironman
Film Analysis Tony Stark makes many ethical decisions in the film Ironman. One of the first
important decisions Stark makes in the movie is choosing to miss his own award ceremony and
instead go to a casino and gamble. His decision not to attend and not to inform anyone that he was not
going to attend is significant because it demonstrates Stark s self centered mindset and that he places
little importance on the impact his decisions have on others. Later, when Stark has been captured by
terrorists who demand that he build a missile for them Stark s immediate response is to refuse, even
though they may kill him for refusing. This is important because it shows that despite Stark s constant
disrespectful behavior towards others he does believe that the lives of innocent people are inherently
of value. Stark s decision to fight his way out of the terrorist camp is another significant decision Stark
makes. It shows that he is willing to kill people when it is not the only way to preserve his own life.
Once he gets out of the cave he could have used the suit s rockets to fly away, but he instead smashes
his way through the entire terrorist camp. When Stark returns to the United States he immediately
holds a press conference and announces that, because he learned that terrorists were using his weapons
against US troops his company will no longer be making weapons. The moral implications of this
decision are huge. His reason is to prevent terrorists from killing people, but his

The Military Rule Of Burma
The land on which modern day Myanmar stands could be traced back to Pagan Dynasty. Britain
gradually took control of Myanmar in 1824. Burma was able to gain its independence from the Great
Britain in 1948. Burma became a parliamentary democracy, granting autonomous states to minorities.
In 1962 Union Revolutionary Council overthrew the civilian government and suspended the
constitution. As a result, the country was under military rule from 1962 to 1988. The military
government transitioned to a socialist economy, nationalized all major industries and reduced the
foreign influence. Years of military rule and suppression and a failed attempt to move to a multi party
election system led to the imposition of economic sanctions to Myanmar. A new constitution was
voted in by the public in 2008, that established a parliamentary system where the military has the 50%
of the seats. The military government was officially dissolved in 2011, and a former member, Thein
Sein was inaugurated as president and PM, convening a largely civilian parliament and begun
political, economic and parliamentary reforms. Thein Sein administration brought a period of reform
and enabled the return of international engagement. Through series of reforms such as pardoning to
most political prisoners, relaxation of censorship and efforts toward peace with rebel groups. A second
wave of economic reforms was announced that reduced the role of the government in sectors such as
energy, forestry, health care,

Mattel Social Responsibility Essay
Social Responsibility has multiple definitions as to what the concept is but, by its most basic
definition, it is the practice of producing goods or services in a way that is not harmful to society or
the environment by an entity. In other words, people are expected to compose choices that will have a
positive impact on the society that they reside in. When it comes to Corporations and other
organizations and businesses, there is another term that is used, which is Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR). CSR implies that businesses must craft decisions that are positive to the society
that they reside in. That includes social issues, environment issues, economic issues, or cultural issues.

Jardim Gramacho Essay
The upper class society of Brazil gives Jardim Gramacho a bad name, one that Muniz disputes,
emphasizing it as a place for the lower class. Jardim Gramacho is seen as a place for people of low
quality and for the those who have nothing to lose or left to give, but by Muniz using the garbage and
other materials found around Jardim Gramacho, he displays how beautiful this wasteland is and how
important the people who live there are. When talking to his wife Muniz says, Check out the
geography of this thing. This is the end of the line, this is where everything that is not good goes.
Including the people. (Wasteland) By saying this Muniz is implying that living in Jardim Gramacho is
depicted as a negative place and people that are not fortunate to have money or have nothing left to
live for are condemned to living there and are seen by the outside society as bad or worthless lives.
The reason fom Muniz creating his sculptures out of the garbage from Jardim Gramacho is to show
that there is something beautiful within the garbage which is the people. For example, one of the
sculptures Muniz creates is of a man named Zumbi. The sculpture shows Zumbi smiling throwing

Migraine, Medical condition that many people have to deal with. This is how to identify the signs of a
migraine, what a migraine simply is, what happens during a migraine attack, triggers and how to
diagnose it. The cause of a migraine could be many different things. This research paper could help
out a lot pf people who may have not yet experienced a migraine attack. A migraine attack is one of
the hardest illnesses to diagnose but a migraine could also lead to other things more severe.
A migraine? Migraines, severe painful headaches often proceeded or accompanied by sensory warning
signs such as flashes of light, blind spots, tingling in the arms and legs, nausea, vomiting, and
increased sensitivity to light and sound. Migraine headaches result from a combination of blood vessel
enlargement and the release of chemicals from nerve fibers that coil around the blood vessel. This then
causes the sympathetic nervous system to respond with nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. These
migraine headaches are commonly misdiagnosed as tension type headaches or sinus headaches.
During the headache, an artery enlarges that is located on the outside of the skull just under the skin of
the temple. This causes a release of chemicals that cause inflammation, pain, and further enlargement
of the artery. (http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migraine)

Loewen The Land Of Opportunity Summary
Loewen first main point is some high school history textbooks portray labor history and unions as
things of the past. The next point he makes is that some high school history textbooks neglect
examination of social class and depicts as a middle class nation full of opportunities for class mobility
despite the drop of middle class people and the widening gap between classes. Another main point
Loewen focuses on is that social class effects sectors of a person s life like their health, environment,
education, and financial opportunities. To appeal to his points, he primarily uses ethos and pathos
when he is trying to appeal to his audience. For instance, Loewen uses ethos to express his knowledge
about the subject by sharing his research results about textbooks and providing other peoples studies
to fortify his points about social class s effect on people. Loewen utilizes pathos by appealing to his
readers emotions by choosing language that expresses his displeasure of students having a limited
understanding of the classes by using words like half formed and naïve. Also, he uses pathos to appeal
to his readers emotions as he uses examples for the ways the class system effects people like when he

Analysis Of Severus Snape
Severus Snape is one of the most beloved, and yet most despised, characters in the history of
literature. Appearing in the famed novel and movie series, Harry Potter, Snape has touched, warmed,
and broken people s hearts since the summer of 1997. When readers first met Snape in Harry Potter
and the Philosopher s Stone, he was hated and feared as the teacher with greasy black hair, a hooked
nose, and sallow skin. However, it is not until the series nears its end in Harry Potter and the Deathly
Hallows, that the readers learn that Severus Snape was cruel and brutal for many reasons. One of the
most controversial topics in literature is whether Snape was a villain or a hero. In agreement with the
latter, I believe that Snape was a hero because he was selfless and brave. Severus Snape, although
appearing ghastly and gruesome, was extremely selfless. The way he treated Harry Potter and a
number of other students made him hated and disliked by many. Snape, a strict and feared teacher,
appeared to be a very unpleasant person. However, not everything is what it seems. Behind the
monster, was a selfless man who would do anything for love. In Harry Potter and the Deathly
Hallows, the readers learn that Snape did everything in his power to shield Harry from Lord
Voldemort. After his death on the second of May in 1998, Snape s memories were transported via tear

The Theory And The Neurocognitive Theory
The field of psychology has been working hard to understand what dreams are, why we have them,
and what they mean. In this paper, I am going to use four different theories to analyze a dream I had.
Some of these theories disagree with the other, but in my opinion they all have their strong points.
Freud s Theory, the Activation Synthesis Theory, the Problem Solving theory, and the Neurocognitive
theory, are the four theories dominating the field right now, and will be the four I will use to further
understand my dream.
My dream started in a very rural country side, corn growing in fields around me. In the beginning, I
was alone standing by an old metal RV. Then, a spaceship landed right in front of the corn fields. A
door opened to two creatures I had never seen before; aliens. All of a sudden, I have a little blond girl
around the age of 5 or 6 holding my hand looking very scared and my best friend to the left of me. The
aliens summoned me over and I walked to them with the little girl. They told me they wanted the girl
and in return would bring me fortune. I handed her over to them and they gave me a box. I started
walking back to the RV where my friend was, but I stopped and turned around to see the girl walking
into the ship, making eye contact with her and feeling immense guilt. But, I turned around and showed
my friend the gift that would make me a fortune, which turned out to be an inflatable spaceship photo

FUNCTIONS OF THE SKELETAL SYSTEM
Supports soft tissue and is the framework of the entire body (scaffolding)
It provides the attachment points for muscle and ligaments
Protects delicate vital organs such as the brain, heart, lungs, and spinal cord.
They are the levers for the movement created by muscles that are attached to them
They store minerals such as calcium phosphorus which they release to the body as needed
They store lipids in the bone marrow which is used as energy
They produce Blood Cells in the red marrow

In North America the Death Star Set has reached its maturity stage as the brand has begun shipping
this major item to retailers, such as Toys R Us. Even as the item has hit this stage it has continually hit
high reviews on both the LEGO website and the retailer s websites. For this specific item LEGO has
continued to use a cobranding strategy for every Star Wars product that has been introduced to the

many cobrands such as Indiana Jones, Marvel, DC Comics, Minecraft, as well as many other big

Examples Of Ecofeminism And Environmental Ethics
Ecofeminism as an environmental issue.
Environmental ethics are based on moral relations that hold between human and the natural world
(Paul, 1986). In environmental ethics people are extending the ethics to the environment by the
exercise of self restraint (Roderick, 1989). The ethical principles that governs the relations of humans
and nature determine human duties, obligations and responsibilities with regard to the Earth s natural
environment and all the animals and plants that inhabit the nature (Paul, 1986). Environmental ethics
has evolved to the point where many scientists believe they have a major responsibility to help society
deal with the human predicament (Paul 2002). Most of the environmental ethics are through
anthropocentrism. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ecofeminism is also referred to as a theory which makes the links between the oppression of women
and the oppression of nature in patriarchal culture; an ethical position informed by ecofeminist
thought and activism is one which resists these oppressions (Constance et al, 1996). Early ecofeminist
analyses of the causes and solutions for environmental ethics were based on the idea of a feminine
principle of care that was thought as a foundation for a sustainable livelihood (David, 2003). The
approach of feminine principle later became the object of internal critique, the critique included the
development of feminist principles that criticized the meanings of feminine, masculine, nature and
culture (David, 2003). According to this latter, critical approach, ecofeminism could no longer be
defined as a community of women rather the community of people who participate in critical
ecofeminist analyses of the global environmental situation (David, 2003). Many different
interpretations of ecofeminism exist, each rooted in a particular intersection of race, class, geography
and conceptual orientation (Constance et al, 1996). This diversity also reflects the multiple points
from which ecofeminists have entered the movement (Constance et al, 1996).These include both
academic and activist involvement in animal liberation, environmentalism, international development,
peace activism, biotechnology, and genetic engineering (Constance et al, 1996). A strong influence in
ecofeminism has been deep ecology, primarily academic movement which posits anthropocentrism as
the root cause of the environmental crisis (Constance et al, 1996). The pervasive belief that nature is

Reflective Essay On The Written Work Process
In spite of the fact that writing in school is intense at a first begin, Arrangement is the most
troublesome piece of the written work process on the grounds that numerous understudies have the
issue of coming up short on thoughts and they don t know where to put their writing in their paper all
together for their article to be perused easily. I need to educate you concerning how I used to
mastermind my papers amid the composition procedure. In secondary school, I generally had
coordinated works, so I needed to consider thoughts quick. That is the reason I utilized foundation
learning from data that I officially learned. In any case, it was hard for me to consider new plans to
add to my paper because of the way that the greater part of my written work prompts were coordinated
and nobody was permitted to utilize open book to look into any new data, which is the reason
numerous understudies battled amid the composition procedure and quickly came up short on
thoughts. Presently since I m in school and my composition isn t planned, I intend to add more plans
to my paper through research, for example, the Internet, magazines, podcasts, books, and so forth for
any theme. Truth be told, in the event that I have a written work task that contains two prompts and I
have the alternative to switch themes, I may do that too in light of the fact that numerous understudies
may change starting with one point then onto the next on the grounds that they either feel more great
with the subject and they can think of a bigger number of thoughts for their paper than the theme that
they were at that point stayed with. My teachers once disclosed to me that it is smarter to have a
greater number of thoughts than to simply stick to just a single subject since one point won t not work
and you may not think of a lot of thoughts. Before concocting any thoughts for my paper, the best
technique for me to organize my thoughts was on a web graph on a different sheet of paper. This
strategy is superior to anything beginning to freewrite immediately on a bit of paper since when you
initially compose, you re composing won t not bode well and after that there s the complexities of
modification. Additionally, it is valuable to make a web chart

The Value Of Life
What is it about human life that makes it valuable? Some people believe that life is valuable even
before birth. Before we are given a name or our gender has been identified, we are valued. As
children, we are taught that we are valuable and that life is valuable. However, what makes human life
valuable? The answer to this question may come from an analysis of the lives of two people; a
fictional character and a real life person, and a comparison to my own personal belief about the value
of life. Human life is valuable because of our capacity to learn and grow. From our mistakes to our
strengths, we are all valuable.
Roger Ebert was a popular film critic who tragically died from thyroid cancer in 2013. Before he
passed, he revealed to the public that he had been diagnosed with cancer and had undergone several
surgeries. The article, The Essential Man, by Chris Jones, reveals Ebert s reasons for valuing life. As
Ebert faced cancer, he learned to value the things that often seem given. For instance, the ability to
speak and laugh. Jones says, The doctors told him they were going to give him back his ability to eat,
drink, and talk. But the doctors were wrong, weren t they? On some morning or afternoon or evening,
sometime in 2006, Ebert took his last bite and sip, and he spoke his last word (Jones 50). Ebert learned
to appreciate the things we often take for granted. Unable to communicate through words, Ebert used
his hands and wrote what he once was able to say. The

Rod Ahs Case Study
Rod ahs returned six months since the last appointment. Up until a month ago, Rod has been quite
stable. During that time, he has been aware of increased breathlessness, but no real cough or fevers.
He does not recall any upper respiratory tract infective symptoms. He had three days of prednisolone a
few weeks ago without any improvement and a couple of days ago completed ten days of
ciprofloxacin and feels slightly better. Thank you for arranging a CT chest scan that reveals extensive
emphysematous change with lower zone bronchiectasis but no active infective changes. I gather Rod
has also had a stress echocardiogram, the results of which were not available today. At rest, oxygen
saturation was 94% and chest auscultation was notable

the pub. This shows Frank likes to drink and he has had enough of working for the
Open University. His life is hot very enjoyable and maybe drinking alcohol takes all the boredom
away. Rita bursts in to Frank s office, boisterously and unexpectedly by swinging the door open. She
is extremely loquacious the minute she enters the office, not intimidated by Frank. You know Rita is
different when she asks Frank Do you get a lot of students like me? and he replies Not exactly, no...
Frank is the opposite of Rita and does not want to teach her, as she could be a handful. Rita talks in
her colloquialisms Y know, it s dead loud and has a working class liverpudlian accent. She does not try
to impress Frank when she is introduced to him. Rita discusses random topics with Frank is trying to

Franz Beethoven Research Papers
Franz Schubert
Franz Schubert, one of my favorite classical composers, was born on 31 January 1797 in Vienna,
Austria, which is a well known city for classic music. And he has 14 brothers and sisters, one of them
was illegitimate, born in 1783 and nine of them were died in infancy. His father, Franz Theodor
Schubert was a well known teacher, and his school in Lichtental (ninth district in Vienna) had many
students in attendance. Though he wasn t even formally get his music trained, he passed on certain
musical gift to his son. When he was six year old, he began to given basic lesson from his father, and a
year later he enrolled to his father s school. His formal musical training started around the same time.
His father taught him very basic violin technique, and his brother Ignaz taught him piano technique.
When he was seven year old, Michael Holzer gave him first lessons outside the family, who is an
choirmaster of the local parish ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During late summer of 1828, people saw physician Ernst Rinna, who may have confirmed Schubert s
thought that there is no way to cure the illness and likely to die soon. After his death, he buried next to
Beethoven whom he was admired during all his life. In 1872, a memorial to him was held in Stadtpark
Viena. In 1888, both his and Beethoven s graves moved to the Zentralfriedhof. My favorite song of his
is Ave Maria which is also the first piece that I heard from him. I considered that s one of the most
beautiful songs that I have ever heard. I will still enjoy it once a while. It isn t a complicated song but
such a magic melody and the piano accompaniment that can makes listener cry. There is also lot of
covers from past to now on for this song, and as a new composer, I might do my own in one

  • 3. Essay On Race And Reunion Throughout the course of this semester I can say that I have learned more about the civil war and racial tensions than I have in my whole life. Through that knowledge I can make the argument that you can make the comparison between the time periods. No not all the comparisons come from the racial tensions of the times, other comparisons come from the political tensions and the economy. When looking back you can make several comparisons to Abraham Lincoln s past, to Donald Trump s. And those who came before both men, even some of the similar issues faced during the elections. The big question here is if we should make the comparison, or is it dragging up unnecessary tensions that really mean nothing? Well, is it unnecessary if what happened ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We take a look at David blight s book Race and Reunion, which is based directly after the civil war, we see more of the direct effects of the civil war outcome. There was a bigger effect in the country directly after the war, but within 10 years of the end of the civil war things reverted back to the way they were before. Then come reconstruction where we see probably the biggest change in the country, people actually try and revert back to before the civil war in the antebellum period. White southerners actually try and ignore that the civil war, even happened and why it happens. We see more of the complete denial of the civil war in Lillian Smith book Killers of a Dream, based early 1900s follows the life of a white southern girl and how she saw the south. Even though she told us a side of the south many southerners would die before admit to it still was not the real south, she was blinded by her upbringing. Like many of the people in the south they knew something was wrong, but chose to ignore it. We then venture to Pete Daniels Lost Revolutions, which hit directly in the 50s and 60s and told an unbiased look at the south and all the wrongdoing going on not only in the south but all over the country. Based on the book we can take a look into the racial tensions going on, the events which led to the rioting, and the effects it had on the actual outcome of the civil rights ... • 5. Self-Recognition And Child Development Child development in general is something most people do not really think of. Even if someone has children they do not really think about it unless something seems wrong with their child. Ever since this class I never really thought too much about how we all develop. A lot of things we learned in this were actually surprising to me but I could only choose one. I chose to look at an experiment on self recognition because I found it very interesting that the researchers used a mirror to understand how the infants would react. In the self recognition experiment the researchers put the infants in front of a mirror and tried putting different things on them to see if they could recognize themselves. Infants need to see themselves multiple times in the mirror to develop self recognition. I was surprised with what I learned because it made me start to think about development in general not only with self recognition. Development is not something that happens overnight. This study proves it because an infant will not realize themselves the first time they look in a mirror they will need to get used to the things around them and realize they are looking at the other objects so the person they are looking at has to be themselves. This is an important study because is an infant does not have self recognition there could be something wrong with them. • 6. How Does Blake Use Figurative Language In The Lamb The Lamb , a poem from a series written by William Blake, begins with and revolves around a young lamb who has not yet experienced the world and its mishaps. Center of the poem, the lamb is continuously being examined. Through the use of rhetorical questions, allusions, symbols, and other figurative language, Blake clearly illustrates the theme that innocence provides a means for taking joy in natural creation. While the lamb referred to in this poem of Blake s is portrayed to be tender and very childlike, I would not say that the poem was made solely for the eyes of the youth. One way this poem has been perceived that opposes my opinion is that Blake wrote it for children to see or hear (Bussey 2001). This must have been gathered from the way Blake uses simplistic verses involving allusions to the lamb of the bible or, Jesus Christ as children are often taught. However, what this view fails to acknowledge despite the poem s effortlessness is the level of vocabulary such as words like mead , vales , and meek . These words may at first not appear very difficult, but when seen from the eyes of perhaps an eight year old, they may not completely grasp the full picture. ... At that time, Florida residents were not aware of the rain and flooding that was about engulf Pensacola and the surrounding areas. But as time began to pass, it became obvious this was not an ordinary storm. As the rain poured and the lightning struck, many people lost power and television connection, unable to see that what was thought to be a small storm would set national records and be the cause for severe weather threats. This event taught me how to prevent a disastrous situation in dire conditions as well as the importance of being prepared. As the rain poured down around 6pm, it became obvious that this thunderstorm was severe. My family listened to the weather alerts on Channel 3, WEAR, and after two hours, the rain did not relent. We knew we needed to check for flooding issues around our house. My dad pulled on a slick black raincoat and walked up our downward slanting driveway to the road, where he discovered that the cul de sac s road across the street had sent a river of water directly down our driveway. It is an individual employee s responsibility to comply with these standards. In 1999, IBM was ranked number one in business ethics according to Business Ethics Corporate Social Responsibility Report. IBM dropped from its top position to number 5 in 2000. This was largely due to its mishandling of the change from a defined benefit to a cash balance pension plan, which drew widespread employee outrage. The switch cost some older employees as mush as 50 percent of their pension, while it saved the company an estimated $200 million. The company did agree to offer more employees a choice of plan, but the unpopular move is still a blot upon IBM s otherwise positive leadership in the area of employee relations. Buying a house provides stability forever unless the owner decides to sell or to move into another home in which the owner gains equity for selling. This is still a huge benefit. Owning a home is a very huge security measure. When a person is an actual homeowner and not a renter he or she can control who actually enters his or her home (Map, 2011). It is easier to purchase home alarm systems and everything that goes on in a person s home is controlled by the owner. As a homeowner the option of what is allowed and what goes on is controlled by the actual homeowner. If an issue comes up and the owner has to move somewhere else then this is a huge benefit. As a seller a person can earn so much money and it can build equity (Media, 2010). Usually homes sell for way more than the purchase prices, especially if the owner has customized the home, in which was discussed earlier (RP Reality, 2011). The selling price could be a huge benefit to any owner who is selling their home and moving. These benefits cannot be earned by an apartment renter. Buying a home is the best route to choose in any situation. Buying a home means actually owning something. There is no more following another person s rules, no more paying out unnecessary money. It means a sense of security and stability for a person s family. It is the key to a better lifestyle. The benefits are all there. There is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 24. Height Of A Marble Essay We designed an investigation to find the answer to the question How does the height of a marble affect the work it does on the cup? The question explores how the height has an affect on the amount of work done on the cup and the amount of gravitational potential the marble has. We tested this by creating an experiment in which we dropped a marble down a ramp to hit and move a cup while testing the different heights we collected the data of how far the cup moved and used it to create a trend and a claim that resolved the objective question. The claim, which is the general statement of conclusion as of the result of an experiment, is the higher the height of an object the more gravitational potential (GPE) it has and the more work that will be done on the object hit. So in this case that higher the marble is dropped from the more ... This data proves and supports the trend as with the increase of height the average distance of movement from the cup increases as the trend stated it would. This trend in a way was also backed by Galileo Galilei as he found that the longer an object falls the faster it moves, with an increase of velocity being 32 ft or 9.8 m per second. As the object is moving faster that means an increase in in kinetic energy and with an increase in kinetic energy comes an increase in the collision force or amount of work done on the object hit. This increase in kinetic energy is also seen in the increase of mass, when the mass grows as does the kinetic energy, where on collision they made a bigger impact with mass. His blonde hair is flopping in the sea breeze, but his long, green, pleated at the bottom coat is unaffected. His green pants are swaying in the wind. The sea is an open expanse of water with partially visible mountains in the distance. Fog obscures some of the view, except for the outline of the mountains. The mountains are the end goal, the sea a path, and the fog is the unknown. The man does not know what the fog obscures but knows that there are mountains in the distance. • 28. Analysis Of Los Olvidados With a great reputation for its historical significance, Los olvidados (1951), a film shot in Mexico City, directed by Luis Buñuel, endorsed the defining point of his profession. Having studied the given excerpt of the script from a scene of the film, this report will not only portray intriguing political, historical and social aspects, but also the phonological, morphological and lexical aspects and how they influence the given content. The geographical location of this film has also proven to be of relevant influence. Buñuel succeeded to attract the wider world s interest into his work as it was his intention to make everyone realise the truth. Ironically, Buñuel being a surrealist director, Los olvidados was not a surreal film. It was the first film directly addressing not only the issues identified with the Mexican society but also Mexican cinema itself. From here, the attributes of Mexican cinema were perpetually replaced. Content Analysis Los olvidados is based around the unfortunate events of streetboys whom gradually commit lawlessness and breach the law under the influence on Jaibo, their leader. The given excerpt of the script takes place in the beginning of the film, set in the Mexican slums. It is understood that Jaibo has escaped from reform school, spots the boys in the street and reveals his encounters of the inside to them. Many themes are picked up upon throughout this scene, the most fundamental being: Child poverty, crime, machismo and more. Commencing one of the main noticeable themes is poverty, which can be seen towards the end of the given excerpt of the script. Child poverty is presented where Jaibo asks for a cigarette, which Cacarizo replies to with Ni cigarros, ni quinto, mano. (Pountain: 209). It is inferred that the boys have essentially nothing which can be linked to the historical aspects of Mexico city may have influenced Buñuel s work. Due to the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (1927) creating an economy based on the political views of themselves and the more prestigious citizens of mexico, with only the rich getting wealthier, leaving the rest unprivileged and poverty stricken. One of the first important decisions Stark makes in the movie is choosing to miss his own award ceremony and instead go to a casino and gamble. His decision not to attend and not to inform anyone that he was not going to attend is significant because it demonstrates Stark s self centered mindset and that he places little importance on the impact his decisions have on others. Later, when Stark has been captured by terrorists who demand that he build a missile for them Stark s immediate response is to refuse, even though they may kill him for refusing. This is important because it shows that despite Stark s constant disrespectful behavior towards others he does believe that the lives of innocent people are inherently of value. Stark s decision to fight his way out of the terrorist camp is another significant decision Stark makes. It shows that he is willing to kill people when it is not the only way to preserve his own life. Burma was able to gain its independence from the Great Britain in 1948. Burma became a parliamentary democracy, granting autonomous states to minorities. In 1962 Union Revolutionary Council overthrew the civilian government and suspended the constitution. As a result, the country was under military rule from 1962 to 1988. The military government transitioned to a socialist economy, nationalized all major industries and reduced the foreign influence. Years of military rule and suppression and a failed attempt to move to a multi party election system led to the imposition of economic sanctions to Myanmar. A new constitution was voted in by the public in 2008, that established a parliamentary system where the military has the 50% of the seats. The military government was officially dissolved in 2011, and a former member, Thein Sein was inaugurated as president and PM, convening a largely civilian parliament and begun political, economic and parliamentary reforms. Thein Sein administration brought a period of reform and enabled the return of international engagement. Migraines, severe painful headaches often proceeded or accompanied by sensory warning signs such as flashes of light, blind spots, tingling in the arms and legs, nausea, vomiting, and increased sensitivity to light and sound. Migraine headaches result from a combination of blood vessel enlargement and the release of chemicals from nerve fibers that coil around the blood vessel. This then causes the sympathetic nervous system to respond with nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. These migraine headaches are commonly misdiagnosed as tension type headaches or sinus headaches. During the headache, an artery enlarges that is located on the outside of the skull just under the skin of the temple. The next point he makes is that some high school history textbooks neglect examination of social class and depicts as a middle class nation full of opportunities for class mobility despite the drop of middle class people and the widening gap between classes. Another main point Loewen focuses on is that social class effects sectors of a person s life like their health, environment, education, and financial opportunities. To appeal to his points, he primarily uses ethos and pathos when he is trying to appeal to his audience. For instance, Loewen uses ethos to express his knowledge about the subject by sharing his research results about textbooks and providing other peoples studies to fortify his points about social class s effect on people. Loewen utilizes pathos by appealing to his readers emotions by choosing language that expresses his displeasure of students having a limited understanding of the classes by using words like half formed and naïve. One of the most controversial topics in literature is whether Snape was a villain or a hero. In agreement with the latter, I believe that Snape was a hero because he was selfless and brave. Environmental ethics has evolved to the point where many scientists believe they have a major responsibility to help society deal with the human predicament (Paul 2002). Most of the environmental ethics are through anthropocentrism. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ecofeminism is also referred to as a theory which makes the links between the oppression of women and the oppression of nature in patriarchal culture; an ethical position informed by ecofeminist thought and activism is one which resists these oppressions (Constance et al, 1996). Early ecofeminist analyses of the causes and solutions for environmental ethics were based on the idea of a feminine principle of care that was thought as a foundation for a sustainable livelihood (David, 2003). The approach of feminine principle later became the object of internal critique, the critique included the development of feminist principles that criticized the meanings of feminine, masculine, nature and culture (David, 2003). According to this latter, critical approach, ecofeminism could no longer be defined as a community of women rather the community of people who participate in critical ecofeminist analyses of the global environmental situation (David, 2003). Many different interpretations of ecofeminism exist, each rooted in a particular intersection of race, class, geography and conceptual orientation (Constance et al, 1996). This diversity also reflects the multiple points from which ecofeminists have entered the movement (Constance et al, 1996).These include both academic and activist involvement in animal liberation, environmentalism, international development, peace activism, biotechnology, and genetic engineering (Constance et al, 1996). A strong influence in ecofeminism has been deep ecology, primarily academic movement which posits anthropocentrism as the root cause of the environmental crisis (Constance et al, 1996). • 43. Reflective Essay On The Written Work Process In spite of the fact that writing in school is intense at a first begin, Arrangement is the most troublesome piece of the written work process on the grounds that numerous understudies have the issue of coming up short on thoughts and they don t know where to put their writing in their paper all together for their article to be perused easily. I need to educate you concerning how I used to mastermind my papers amid the composition procedure. In secondary school, I generally had coordinated works, so I needed to consider thoughts quick. That is the reason I utilized foundation learning from data that I officially learned. In any case, it was hard for me to consider new plans to add to my paper because of the way that the greater part of my written work prompts were coordinated and nobody was permitted to utilize open book to look into any new data, which is the reason numerous understudies battled amid the composition procedure and quickly came up short on thoughts. Presently since I m in school and my composition isn t planned, I intend to add more plans to my paper through research, for example, the Internet, magazines, podcasts, books, and so forth for any theme. Truth be told, in the event that I have a written work task that contains two prompts and I have the alternative to switch themes, I may do that too in light of the fact that numerous understudies may change starting with one point then onto the next on the grounds that they either feel more great with the subject and they can think of a bigger number of thoughts for their paper than the theme that they were at that point stayed with. My teachers once disclosed to me that it is smarter to have a greater number of thoughts than to simply stick to just a single subject since one point won t not work and you may not think of a lot of thoughts. Before concocting any thoughts for my paper, the best technique for me to organize my thoughts was on a web graph on a different sheet of paper. This strategy is superior to anything beginning to freewrite immediately on a bit of paper since when you initially compose, you re composing won t not bode well and after that there s the complexities of modification. Additionally, it is valuable to make a web chart ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. The Value Of Life What is it about human life that makes it valuable? Some people believe that life is valuable even before birth. Before we are given a name or our gender has been identified, we are valued. As children, we are taught that we are valuable and that life is valuable. However, what makes human life valuable? The answer to this question may come from an analysis of the lives of two people; a fictional character and a real life person, and a comparison to my own personal belief about the value of life. Human life is valuable because of our capacity to learn and grow. From our mistakes to our strengths, we are all valuable. Roger Ebert was a popular film critic who tragically died from thyroid cancer in 2013. Before he passed, he revealed to the public that he had been diagnosed with cancer and had undergone several surgeries. The article, The Essential Man, by Chris Jones, reveals Ebert s reasons for valuing life. As Ebert faced cancer, he learned to value the things that often seem given. For instance, the ability to speak and laugh. Jones says, The doctors told him they were going to give him back his ability to eat, drink, and talk. But the doctors were wrong, weren t they? On some morning or afternoon or evening, sometime in 2006, Ebert took his last bite and sip, and he spoke his last word (Jones 50). Ebert learned to appreciate the things we often take for granted. Unable to communicate through words, Ebert used his hands and wrote what he once was able to say. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

After his death, he buried next to Beethoven whom he was admired during all his life. In 1872, a memorial to him was held in Stadtpark Viena. In 1888, both his and Beethoven s graves moved to the Zentralfriedhof. My favorite song of his is Ave Maria which is also the first piece that I heard from him.
