The Birth Of America Is Well, The Biggest And Greatest
The birth of America is well, the biggest and greatest thing to ever happen to us. There
are many things that led up to the 1865 era such as salutary neglect, the Constitution, the
Louisiana Purchase, Manifest Destiny, and Slavery. Those are just a few things that America
powered through to get where we are today.
Our Forefathers attempted to rectify what some would consider harsh actions made by
the kingdom of Britain in the mid 1700 s. The British didn t take the American territories
seriously and just saw them as colonies to be used and exploited in whatever way that best suited
the kingdom s interest. The morning of April 19, 1775 America was then no longer just
negotiating for its rights, we were fighting for them. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By the end of the
assembly of the Second Continental Congress, America would declare war on Britain.
In Lexington in April of 1775 the British troops and colonial militiamen kicked off the
armed conflict. By the summer the rebels were waging a full scale war for their independence.
France entered the American Revolution on the side of the colonists in 1778, turning what had
been a civil war into an international conflict. French assistance helped the Continental Army
force the British surrender in Yorktown, Virginia, in 1781. We had won our Independence.
Though fighting would not officially end until 1783.
The United States Constitution s final draft was approved on September 17, 1787. It
established America s national government and fundamental laws, and guaranteed certain basic
rights for its citizens. It was, however more than just a document. It would more importantly
establish the form of government that would be utilized right up to modern day America. The
framers of the Constitution knew that while government needed power in order to be effective,
too much power could lead to abuses. So they kept government under control by dividing the
power into two ways; Federal and State powers.
The federal system of government was shared among state and national authorities.
Some powers, such as establishing an educational system were known as reserve powers because
they were reserved for the state. Others, such as declaring war were

Virgin Group and Coca Cola Management Strategies Essay
Background Information and Challenges of the Virgin Group From 1968 to 2007, Richard Branson
leads the Virgin group to become a conglomerate of more than 200 companies with business in music,
airlines, rail transport, soft drinks, radio broadcasting and etc. (Grant 2005a:309) The Virgin Group
followed many other companies during the 1950 to1980 period in adopting diversification as a mean
for corporate growth. The boom of unrelated diversification of the early 1960s and 1970s was halted
abruptly however by the failure of many large diversified companies (Grant 2005b:447). The simple
action of bringing various businesses together under a single ownership itself was clearly not
sufficient in creating shareholder value. The following years ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The lack of a corporate headquarters and the small size of most of the Virgin operating companies
were intended to foster teamwork and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. (Grant 2005a:325) Branson
envisions that Virgin group has a responsibility to the employees and it develops a better
understanding of the human factor. (Davidson and Griffin 2006: 40) Branson extracts some guidelines
from Fayol to scientific management, such as the Equity (Managers should be kind and fair when
dealing with subordinates), Initiative (Subordinates should have the freedom to take initiative) and
Esprit de corps management issues (Teamwork, team spirits and a sense of unity and togetherness
should be fostered and maintained). (Davidson and Griffin 2006:41) Finally, he follows Henry Gantt
by employing a system that give people rewards for completing their jobs in less than allowed
standard time. Branson s management strategy and the success of Virgin Group were founded on the
ideology of the Business of Trust . First of all, Branson recognized that large companies were more
likely to be mistrusted by their employees, whereas smaller companies often have the loyalty of staff
because of the culture of collaboration. Productivity, performance and retention rates suffered in low
trust firms. While managing in smaller companies in a flattened organizational hierarchical way would
facilitate the communications and interactions between the managers and employees.

Cereal at the Store Study
Introduction Breakfast cereal is a commonly eaten food in the United States. According to the website
CEEREAL of the European breakfast cereal Association, the first ever cereal was granola which was
invented by James Caleb Jackson in 1863 who was the operator of the Jackson Sanitarian in the state
of New York (Ceereal). It would not catch on due to the long prep time needed to make the cereal
edible. In 1889 two brothers W.K. Kellogg, and his brother, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, what

store and a bistro. The demographics is very diverse due to it central location and the surrounding
neighborhoods. This store can cater to traditional working class urbanites to the affluent suburbanite
who works downtown and stop at this location to buy groceries before going home. Given this diverse
clientele I concluded this store would be a good store to observe. When I enter the store the first thing
I did was walk towards the cereal Aisle which is in the middle of the store. Once I was in the cereal
aisle, I would notice that besides cereal the also contained other breakfast foods such as Pop Tarts,
breakfast bars, and oatmeal. The aisle also contained products to make other breakfast food such as an
egg poacher and a breakfast sandwich maker. Finally I would observe that the area also was where the
Tea and hot chocolate is located which usually complement breakfast. I would next focus on the
Cereal Aisle I would first discover how the cereal was arranged. At this location the cereal was
arranged according to brands. One section of the aisle was dedicated to Kellogg products such as

HSM Law Profile Paper There are federal, state, county, and even tribal laws that have been put into
place to protect both the client and the human service worker. Some are more of a guiding tool for
human service workers, while some laws are designed to protect the client in a wide variety of ways.
The Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) was originally enacted in January 1974 to
require agencies to assess, investigate, and provide treatment, and prosecution in order to receive
federal funding. To fully understand everything that this law has to offer, we must learn more about it.
Possibly the best place to find information on this law, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The law also provides Federal Grants to agencies that fall under its guidelines. Many agencies could
not exist or be of any benefit to the community without this funding. This law protects children with
disabilities, by means that housing that is unique to them be defined with specialized training and
equipped to do so. Abandoned infants are a unique situation that is not as easy as one would expect to
solve. Even though the client is unable to speak for themselves, they still need protection. When
dealing with near homeless or homeless families, a human service worker may find they are unsure
when to become involved more, which is something that this law will help guide them through.
Finally, to protect children all around, it is now apparent that certain jobs that work with children must
make their employees subject to background checks. CAPTA will certainly have a heavy impact on
human service workers in many ways. This law is actually the beginning basis for child abuse laws in
general. Over the years many laws have been designed in similarities to model their own version of
CAPTA. Human Service workers will find themselves both enforcing the laws that are under CAPTA,
as well as following the rules that are defined under CAPTA. Sometimes, a human service worker may
find themselves referring to CAPTA with the client to explain what is required and what is not. For
example, if a client

The Importance Of Snow In Books
It has been the coldest weather since 1885. Jem had seen snow before in books but never in real life,
unlike Scout, who saw the snow and thought the sky was falling. I honestly think Scout was horrified,
just imagine at her age, who hasn t seen snow at all, walking outside to the cold weather and bits of
sky falling all around you. Jem however, must have loved it, seeing snow in books and now getting to
actually experience it. They decide to make a snowman, but since it s Maycomb it didn t snow much,
so they had to compromise. Jem used dirt as a substitute for the lack of snow. At first, Scout thought
they were making a nigger snowman but then Jem told her his idea of making a dirt snowman then

This powerful statement was made by Dr. Seuss and can relate very specifically to the breathtaking
novel entitled Dream Factory by Heather Hepler and Brad Barkley. This book presents the authentic
power of love and is a romance that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat with anxiety to
contemplate what will occur next. It discards you with a sunny heart and joyous feelings after reading.

oppressed by the way things were going. So, as the summer lugged on and numberless people were

This quote was by Luke, who conceives just how alike, he and Ella are. He senses that she is like the
mirror image of himself and therefore is naturally very drawn to her. This refines the theme of love s
power because Luke apprehends that Ella is the type of girl he longs for and this triggers him to feel a
connection of sentiment between them instantly. Secondly, the text reads, But how can it be that my
parents, Cassie, and the whole world are wrong, and only Ella and I have it figured out? (225). This
statement, also made by Luke, explains his feelings of unbelonging. He feels like an alien among his
parents and his girlfriend Cassie. They all want him to carry on his father s business and be this
extravagant guy with a perfect life , making legions of money. They basically have his future all
figured out for him. Except for the fact that he doesn t want to carry out that lifestyle and he doesn t
want his parents concocting his future. He yearns to live his own individual life and have some say in
making his own choices. His girlfriend Cassie is always encouraging him to be proud of how
stupendous his life is and how bright the future is for him. She never acknowledges that he simply

Online Gaming and Fraud in Massive Multiplayer Online...
1. Online Gaming Security and Fraud Throughout the evolution of gaming, there has been a
movement of large communities to online gaming. With that high amount of traffic, these online
games have become prime targets for crime to emerge from. Due to the online nature and virtual
elements of this kind of community, the most common type of crime committed was theft, followed
closely by fraud (Chen 2005). With the increase in online communities from online gaming,
businesses have started advertising both to these markets and through them. This has opened up not
only the online communities to the threat of fraud, but also those businesses and their competitors.
This paper will focus primarily on the Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG)
community, and the ways that fraud is committed in that type of gaming. 2.1 Fraud in MMORPGs
Fraud has been influencing MMORPGs and online gaming for years. The world of online has moved
from being a software license industry to an uplink time payment model due to illegal sharing and
software copying (Chen 2005). With the move to subscription based gameplay, in game items now
have a monetary value due to the growth of economies that trade the virtual game money or items for
real world currency (Chen 2005). Throughout the MMORPGs there has been a trend of criminals
targeting the users of these online games for purposes of theft and fraud, especially when it comes to
the in game currencies and identities. According to a study

Clerkship Position
I am a first year law student at the University of St. Thomas School of Law and I am interested in
litigation. Thus, I am especially keen on your summer clerkship position. I had the pleasure of meeting
you, Ms. Charles, at the Law Student Reception hosted on November 17. Learning about the clerkship
program from you and Ms. Maria Mitchell solidified what an honor and opportunity it would be to
begin a career at Hennepin County Public Defender s Office.
Given my uncommon background as the daughter of a Bail Bonds Agent and having worked in the
office, I have a unique lens into the criminal justice system. It was commonplace in my home to get
late night phone calls from upset individuals. My father taught me a valuable lesson through those
phone calls: we are all humans. I never realized the unique perspective I had until my a ha moment in
Lawyering Skills at University of St. Thomas School of Law. Many of my colleagues were quick

Causes Of College Tuition
There have been arguments when people discuss the price of attending college. The main argument is
whether college tuition is too expensive or not. Over the last few decades the college tuition rates have
increased drastically, but is a rate increase necessarily a good or bad thing. The cost to attend is too
expensive especially for low and middle income families. There are many reasons why tuition could
be considered too expensive; they include, rise in tuition, little financial aid, and lack of college
savings, to name a few. The first reason why college tuition is considered too expensive is the
continuing rise of tuition itself. In one article, between the years 1973 to 2008 tuition for a four year
increased from $9,876 to $25,145 for a private college, and $2,175 to $6,585 for public. While a two
year college tuition increased from $1,360 to $2,402. Within a thirty five year period tuition increased
$15,267 for a private college, $4,410 for public, and $1,042 for a two year college. This might not
seem too bad for it occurring in a thirty five year period, but really think about it college tuition
increases a little each day and it adds up pretty quickly ( Chronology: Recent Key Events in History of
College Tuition Cost 1). Sarah Turner mentions in her section of the anthology College Choices: The
Economies of Where to Go, When to Go, and How to Pay , that due to high levels of tuition students
are least likely to enroll in higher education. Turner also states that

Essay about Jack
Lord of the Flies, written by William Golding, has four very important dynamic characters. A dynamic
character is a character that develops and grows during the course of the story. Ralph, Jack, Piggy, and
Simon are four dynamic characters in Lord of the Flies that adapt to their new lifestyles in different
ways. Jack is a very important dynamic character in Lord of the Flies because he goes through the
most changes during the novel. While on the island, Jack has many life experiences that change him
forever. Jack never thought he would live his life the way he is living his life in the island. Jack s
authoritative figure, savage like/instinctual behavior, and violence are three qualities that make Jack a

Jack says they will hunt it. This is how Jack s authoritative figure shows he is a dynamic character in
the beginning of the novel. In the middle of Lord of the Flies, Jack s savage like/instinctual behavior is
another example of how he is a dynamic character. Jack is savage like because, at first, Jack thinks
everything is fun, but soon realizes it is not fun anymore and wants to leave the island. Jack s main
goal throughout most of the novel is to kill a pig. Jack is put in charge of maintaining the signal fire.
After a while, Jack becomes distracted and goes off hunting where he forgets about the signal fire and
lets it go out. Soon after, Ralph sees the fire has gone out and is very angry with Jack because there
was a ship that passed them that could have rescued them if there was a fire. Also, after Jack forms his
tribe, they also need to build a fire, so they steal wood from Ralph s fire. The second time Jack goes
hunting, he kills a sow, which is a female pig. Next, Jack and his tribe cook the pig and hang the pigs
head on a stick for the beast. The pig s head on a stick is a symbol of evil among the boys. This is how
Jack s savage like/instinctual behavior shows he is a dynamic character in the beginning of the novel.
Violence begins to emerge in Jack at the end of the novel. This is the last quality that shows Jack is a
dynamic character. By the end of the book, Jack has become a murderer. Not only

The first ethnographic method I used was survey questionnaires. Within a total of six questions, the
first two ask about whether the participant is familiar with Deaf culture or encountered with the topic

hearing culture exactly chose no . When I randomly reached out to the reasons, some answered they

tend to have the same idea from Deaf culture s side. However, with the fifth question asking about
which method is better for deaf people to get educated, the situation is totally reverse. 40% (8) of
participants said deaf people should be educated in oral way with hearing devices, 60% (12) of
participants said deaf people are good to be educated by sign language. This shows, more people
believe the power of sign language in some content, and take it as a real language as same as oral
languages. Comparing with participants clear answers before, they began to have struggling ideas. In

Research Methodologies
Research Methodologies In selecting a research methodology, researchers must approach the subject
matter with consideration of that which is desired as a data outcome. In light of this, the most
commonly used methodologies are quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods. The quantitative
study is usually defined so as a result of a clearly delineated range of numerical scales, sets or
representations designed to concretely define the findings of the resultant research. By its hypothesis
and its methodology, this study will be required to employ a process which is geared toward
empirically defensible findings. The determinism of numerical evaluation is widely considered less
vulnerable to individual biases unless it can be deduced that such bias informed the composition of the
equation methodology. Qualitative analysis essentially places a heavier demand upon the involvement
of the researcher in designing the frame for data analysis and the manner in which this analysis is
carried out. This means that the qualitative research must plumb through a considerable amount of
research and data in order to whittle down observational findings to a set of relevant and useful
resolutions. And indeed, after the processes of observation and information gathering, it can be both
time consuming and intellectually taxing to reduce these findings to the most meaningful and relevant
indicators available. This difficulty is further intensified by the inherently complicated task of clearly

Van Gogh s Portrait Of Dr. Gachet
Van Gogh Portrait of Dr. Gachet Art has been a big part of our lives for a long time now. That art has
been a way how people express how they feel, and tell a story to the world. For instance, one of the
famous portraits from Van Gogh was the portrait of Dr.Gachet , there are two versions of the
paintings, but they both show Gachet is sitting at the table, leaning his head with his right arm the only
difference is they are both slightly different with the color and style. The original portrait was born in
June 1890 at Auvers sur Oise, France, and the second painting was born in June 1890 as well but it
took location in Musée d Orsay, Paris. The original painting was sold on May 16, 1990, in a Japanese

The painting of Dr.Gachet is an oil canvas and measures to 67 cm x 58 cm (23.4 in x 22.0 in). Dr.

Slice Of Life Shows Comparison
Going to school may be a chore for most students, but what if everything was not as it seemed for a
certain student? Both, at least start out as, slice of life shows. Slice of life is a popular genre in
Japanese animation where the story portrays parts of the character s life. It is a genre that is never by
itself and always goes along with other genres such as comedy, drama, or romance. Both shows have
some similarities and differences in the three categories of: types of characters, story lines, and the
format. Both of the shows have a main character that parallel each other. In Love, Chunibyo Other
Delusions, Rikka Takanashi is a delusional character who believes she is a sorceress possessed by the
Eye of the Wicked Lord and wears an eyepatch to seal its power . In School Live!, Yuki Takeya has
delusions of her own, as she believes everything is perfectly fine and is unable to notice the zombie
apocalypse going on around her the whole time. Their reasoning for believing in their delusions is
quite similar in a way, and in both shows, the other characters tend go along with their delusions to
keep them happy. While there are similarities in the characters, differences obviously exist as well. ...

put a value of £3.03bn on consumer spending on music in 2005, derived from three sectors: recorded
music (which accounts for the bulk of the market), live music and musical instruments. However, data
for other related markets are included, such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Each chapter of the report starts with more detailed definitions and coverage.
For coverage of recorded music, Key Note is grateful to the statistics and commentary provided by the
British Phonographic Industry (BPI), detailed later in this chapter under Key Trade Associations. For
other sectors, an important component of the report is the field research into the attitudes and buying
habits of UK consumers with regard to music, conducted for Key Note by NEMS Market Research
specifically for this report.
Report Background
This is the first edition of a Market Review of the Music Industry published by Key Note. Although
coverage is targeted mainly at the UK market, the global aspects of the music industry are given full
acknowledgment. In particular, it is recorded music by far the largest market by value that has evolved
a global structure. Since 2004, it has featured just four `majors owning dozens of famous labels and
holding recording contracts (or back catalogues) for the vast majority of the world s top selling
recording artists.
The `big four major groups, including the UK s own `home grown giant, EMI Group PLC, also own
rights to publish and to license the majority of successful songs, theme music, etc. These rights are
increasingly important as the market moves towards a more fluid, ICT (information and
communications technology)

A Pundit’s Solution to Fixing Drug Violence in Mexico Essay
Thomas Friedman, a biweekly column contributor for the New York Times, is a pundit who
throughout his career has made some bold claims about controversial issues in the news. Bestement
and Gutherson argue that a pundit is merely one who gives opinions in an authoritative manner , and
that while they may speak convincingly, their skills as pundits lie in their ability... to learn quickly
about the broad contours of a wide range of subjects, and to project confidence and authority in
talking about them (Bestement, Gutherson 2005; 2,3). Since a pundit is one who uses existing
prejudices to explain complex issues to large audiences in a concise and very generalized manner,
inaccuracies are frequent in their arguments; but these inaccuracies ... Show more content on

The prohibition of drugs such as cocaine, opium, and marijuana is rooted in the racism and
xenophobia of the people of the United States. It was believed that cocaine consumption by the black
community could make them disregard the barriers that society had established between different
races , while Chinese were portrayed as assiduous opium smokers and Mexicans were labeled as avid
marihuana smokers (Recio 2002; 23,24). These faulty conceptions of the minorities in the United
States resulted in a new perception...that drug consumption could not be morally accepted and
therefore its use should be seriously restricted (Recio 2002; 24). Medical professionals in the United
States were strongly opposed to an all out ban of these drugs, but eventually the United States
congress passed the Harrison Act. This act was initially designed to limit the availability of these
narcotics by requiring a prescription from a physician to obtain them. Later, United States congress
passed the Volstead Act, which prohibited alcohol. In 1922 the Harrison Act became a totally
prohibitionist piece of legislation (Recio 2002; 25, 26). Immediately after the Harrison Act and the
Volstead Acts were passed, illegal drug traffickers took the place of physicians in providing narcotics
to the people who wanted them (Recio 2002; 26). In order to prevent this, the United States
government decided that if the country producing drugs

The Provision Of Health Care Services
English essay 1
Esha K Gogri
Should the provision of health care services in an economy be left to the market or should the state
provide? Discuss with reference to the UK.
Health care services are medical and remedial care or service provided to the population of a nation.
Health care services can be provided by the state or left to privatization to provide. It is crucial for all
to have access to health care services, as it is a basic human right. In the UK, the National Health
Services is a publicly funded health care system. The NHS is financed directly through taxation and so
is freely available to citizens. (http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/thenhs/about/Pages/overview.aspx)
The efficacy of the government provided NHS service is debatable as it can be argued that the
provision of health care services by the market is a better option. Although the market could provide
these services, it can be argued that the state should as it allows wider access, can positively impact
the labour force and increase economic growth and development.
The most convincing justification for government intervention in healthcare services is probably that
affordable, timely and quality healthcare is a basic and crucial human right
(http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs323/en/). Healthcare that is offered by the state aims to
ensure that the majority, if not all, have access to at least the most fundamental healthcare services
irrespective of their affluence. Vulnerable and

English 200 Class Reflection
Throughout this semester, I was able to learn quite a bit in English 200. This class helped me
recognize what my weaknesses and strengths are when it comes to writing essays. I also liked the
different focuses and assignments that we had to do for this class. If someone asked me what is a good
writing intensive class to take, I would recommend this class because of the papers that we wrote
helped us focus on our disciplines. The only paper that did not really focus on our discipline was the
research paper because we got to choose what we were interested in. I enjoyed writing the discipline

Chronic Care Model Essay
Student comments in this section
1a. Study Problem The cost of heart failure in the united states was 37.2 million in 2009 and expected
to rise to 69.7 million by 2030, mainly due to readmissions. Heart Failure readmissions are
preventable if patients have better self management skills. Programs using multidisciplinary teams and
in person communication have shown to lead to fewer HF readmissions. Patients can learn about
medication adherence, sodium intake, and self care skills. (Smith et al., 2015, p. S25)

The Significance of Pulpit in the Church Architectural Settings
Introduction
The term Church Architecture refers to the architectural buildings of the Christian churches and
cathedrals, which evolved over two thousand years. The churches have witnessed varied styles of
architectural buildings from the early period of the birth of Christianity till today. Some of the most
significant church architectural buildings are from the church architectural designs of Byzantium,
Romanesque Abbey churches, Gothic Cathedrals, and Renaissance Basilicas. Till today, the
architectural building styles of the early church ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The word Pulpit is derived from the Latin word pulpitum meaning platform or an elevated stand of
stone or wood for the preacher or reader to stand on. Pulpit is essentially a place where something
important happens in the church. Generally in almost all churches, pulpit is used for preaching,
whereas in some churches pulpit is used both for preaching and reading of scripture. In early Christian
times, ambo was used for preaching instead of pulpit, and lectern, a speaker s stand in the church,
which means to read was used for reading scriptures by laymen, and also used for announcements, and
to lead congregation prayers.
Every Christian believes that God speaks to us through the proclamation of his Word; hence, the place
where the Word is proclaimed should be one of the focal points in the church. Some argues that it is
not essential and necessary to have two places for proclaiming the Word (i.e. pulpit and lectern). In
fact, many people prefer to have only one place for proclaiming the Word since having two platforms
confuses the congregation and also having lectern and pulpit were often limited to wealthy
congregations since many cannot afford it. Robert S. Brightman writes on the pulpit and lectern

Millennial Themes in The Prelude and Mont Blanc Essay
Millennial Themes in The Prelude and Mont Blanc
On reading Book VI of Wordsworth s thirteen part version of The Prelude, I was particularly struck by
the passage in which, following his crossing of the Alps, the poet describes the sick sight / And giddy
prospect of the raging stream (VI. 564 565) of the Arve Ravine as both an apocalyptic foreboding and
an expression of millennial unity in his theory of the One Mind:
The unfettered clouds and region of the heavens,
Tumult and peace, the darkness and the light,
Were all like workings of one mind, the features
Of the same face, blossoms upon one tree,
Characters of the great Apocalypse,
The types and symbols of eternity,
Of first, and last, and midst, and without end. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The time in which Wordsworth and the other Romantics wrote was itself at the turn of a century, and
the events of the French Revolution and later, the Napoleonic War also served to aggravate
apocalyptic/millennial thinking, in both senses. The initial promises of the overthrow of the monarchy
to bring about a unified millennial society soon gave way to the lurking destructive potentialities [that]
became evident with the Reign of Terror (Beer 110) and the declaration of war between Britain and
France in which people known to Wordsworth had become involved, many losing their lives in the
process. The journey retold in Book VI of The Prelude was one Wordsworth had made in 1790, when
he was twenty years old, when the turn of the century was still ten years away, and when the
Revolution was still in its earlier, more optimistic phases. As he had also done in Tintern Abbey,
Wordsworth uses his memories of the travels of his younger days to reflect upon the changes in his life
since those days, as well as to express his belief in The universal reason of mankind / The truth of
young and old (VI. 476 477) that would always endure even through the most violent upheavals in
society.
Many times throughout The Prelude, and especially in his musings on the imagination and the One
Mind in Book VI, Wordsworth contrasts his earlier use of the picturesque with his later use of the
sublime, which itself

Intelligent Traffic Surveillance System Essay
Abstract Due to the traffic accidents over the last few years; the development of surveillance systems
with multifunctional techniques has received increasing attention. The use of the smart camera is one
solution to solve the traffic problems, Smart cameras are cameras that can perform tasks far beyond
simply taking photos and recording videos. Intelligent Traffic Surveillance System (ITSS) is used to
monitor the roads in preventing accidents at the same time finding what causes the accidents. This is
done by implementing some image vision protocols as that of Gaussian and Canny. This paper will

Thus, vehicles detection in cluttered environment is an open problem. The major difficulties lie in:
Vehicles are a non rigid object. In other words, the shape and size of vehicles vary greatly, and
therefore the models of vehicles are much more complex than that of others objects.
In the case of the clutter background. It does not matter if we are analyzing images from a typical city
or from a country traffic environment or highways; the background formed by trees, wire poles, and
billboards is much cluttered. Most of these backgrounds can be taken for vehicles, due to their similar
shapes.
Illumination and weather conditions vary greatly. The on vehicle vision systems must be able to deal
with the different illumination conditions [2].
One of the goals is to develop a system that can be used to Monitor the highways and prevent
accidents by implementing an algorithm program in OpenCV (Intel® open source computer vision
library), Real time tracking objects will be achieved by using a smart camera which captures the
frames and sends the image signals to the main server
The system will be a replacement of human for triggering alarms which if something dangerous has
happened or potential horrific scenario (potential accidents) is about to happen. In general this project
consists of a smart camera system interconnected with wireless technology for traffic surveillance

The Day Of A Peach Orchard
It was a brisk day as I walked downtown, admiring the small and large businesses nestled into the
corners of the long, narrow streets. As I walked down these familiar streets that I ve known all my life,
a watch appeared out of nowhere, as if it had just popped into existence that very moment. I looked
down at the odd watch, it was black and silver, like any other watch. I picked it up. Looking closer, I
noticed that this watch did not look quite as mundane as I had thought previously. Instead of a clock it
had something that looked like a map of the world and a rolling combination lock. I pressed a couple
buttons on the side, accidently moving the lock. I looked down and saw the numbers were showing the

leaves were a vibrant color of green, radiating on each stretched out branch. Yellow and orange
peaches hung from each branch, slightly moving with the light breeze provided on this hot day.
I bet you re wondering how a bloody battle could occur in a peaceful place like this, huh? Lawrence

How Is Soma Used In Brave New World
When reading the novel, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, it is unmistakably evident that the use
of stimulants (soma) is the leading source of the society s happiness. Drugs and medicine are used in
both societies in many comparable and contrasting ways. Our soma takes a different form than it does
in Brave New World, but a lot of the results are the same. The most common similarity between the
use of drugs in the two societies is the purpose of the drug is use. This motive is for escaping reality.
In Brave New World, all citizens in the society take soma whenever they are stressed or emotional.
This medication keeps all negative thoughts off a person s mind, basically creating a blindness to
everything around them that is corrupt. Linda, one of the characters in the book who was from the
Brave New World but lived with the savages, shows a little bit of how soma is used in today s society
when she becomes alcohol dependent. When she no longer had access to soma, she turned to alcohol
(also referred to as mescal in the novel) as an escape from all the atrocious things she had to
experience at the savage reservation (Brave New World 125). In today s society people, especially
young people, use alcohol and other drugs to mask the unhappiness they have in their lives. Teenagers

Hinduism Essay
Hinduism
Hinduism cannot be described as an organized religion. One individual did not found Hinduism.
Hinduism is God centered and therefore one can call Hinduism as founded by God. Hinduism is based
upon Eternal Principles. If a great scientist like Einstein discovered or realized laws of physics,
Hinduism would call him a great Rishi (Maharshi or seer of truth.) Such seers of truth are not confined
to any one age or country. Self realized persons like Jesus Christ would be called Rishis (seers) and
their teachings would be readily acceptable to those who properly understand the principles of
Hinduism . From the ancient times, many great Rishis achieved self realization through such means as

The Om is to Hindus As the cross is to Christians. It is made up of three Sanskrit letters, aa, au and ma
which, when combined, make the sound Aum or Om. The most important symbol in Hinduism, it
occurs in every prayer and invocation to most deities begins with it. As the symbol of piety, Om is
often found at the head of letters, pendants, enshrined in every Hindu temple and family shrines. This
symbol is actually a sacred syllable representing the Brahman or the Absolute the source of all
existence. Brahman, in itself, is incomprehensible so a symbol becomes mandatory to help us realize
the Unknowable. The syllable Om occurs even in English words having a similar meaning, for
instance, omniscience , omnipotent , omnipresent . Thus Om is also used to signify divinity and
authority. Its similarity with the Latin M as also to the Greek letter Omega is discernable. Even the
word Amen used by Christians to conclude a prayer seems to be akin to Om.
Second in importance only to the Om, the Swastika, a symbol that looks like the Nazi emblem, holds a
great religious significance for the Hindus. Swastika is not a syllable or a letter, but a pictorial

Jude the Obscure and Social Darwinism
Jude the Obscure is indeed a lesson in cruelty and despair; the inevitable by products of Social
Darwinism. The main characters of the book are controlled by fate s compelling arm of extraordinary
muscular power (1), weakly resisting the influence of their own sexuality, and of society and nature
around them.
Jude s world is one in which only the fittest survive, and he is clearly not equipped to number amongst
the fittest. In keeping with the strong Darwinian undercurrents that run through the book, a kind of
natural selection ensures that Jude s offspring do not survive to procreate either. Their death by murder

Although the Widow Edlin s words refer to Jude s physical status, Hardy is also using them to
comment on Jude as a societal and intellectual being. On that level too, he was clearly not fit enough
to emerge triumphantly from the struggles of Darwinian society.
If Hardy s message is that only the fittest can escape nature and society s cruelties, then one must ask,
which of the characters in the novel is most successful in the competitive atmosphere? Phillotson
certainly achieves some measure of professional success as a schoolmaster, but like Jude, he too was
unable to break into the echelons of university academia. Furthermore, despite marrying Sue, his
union with her was less than successful. One gets the sense that in his one sided love for Sue,
Phillotson was swept along powerlessly by the tides of his own sexuality just as Jude was. Rather than
pro actively seeking to cultivate Sue s love for him or to gain some form of self determination, he
chose to remain meek and impassive, very much allowing Sue to determine the course that his life
with her would take, if it was to be with her at all.

Abstract¬¬¬ This paper presents a low hardware overhead test pattern generator (TPG) for scan based
built in self test (BIST) that can reduce switching activity in circuits under test (CUTs) during BIST.
BIST is a device, here part of the functional device is self dedicated to self testing the correctness of
the device. In general BIST is comprised of two TPGs: LT RTPG (Low Transition Random Test
Pattern Generator) and 3 Weight WRBIST(Weighted Random Built In Self Test) Minimization of
hardware overhead is a major concern of BIST implementation. In test per scan BIST, a new test
pattern is applied to the inputs of the CUT every m + 1clock cycles, where m is the number of scan
elements in the longest scan chain. By using two proposed TPG increasing fault coverage is achieved
through the reduction of switching activity, thereby dissipation of power is minimized.

Behavioural Disruption In The Classroom
All children need to feel safe and respected, so they can learn and develop socially and emotionally
however, behavioural disruptions can negatively affect the learning environment causing interruptions
in the classroom. To manage behavioural disruptions effectively, it is important to consider the
individual s needs in relation to their situation and which behavioural strategy can best support the
student. The main goal of behaviour intervention is to guide students to learn and manage their own
behaviour (Meyer Evans, 2012). The Neo Adlerian theory approach focuses on the implementation of
positive behavioural management in the classroom, using strategies such as positive student teacher
relationships that promote value and a sense of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Choice theory also adopts self responsibility, belonging and meaningful relationships which
aligns with the Humanistic approach. Choice theory asserts that human beings have five basic needs:
(1) survival, (2) love and belonging (sharing and cooperating with others), (3) power and control (by
achieving, accomplishing, being recognised and respected), (4) freedom (making choices in our lives)
and (5) fun (laughing and playing) (Lyons, Ford Arthur Kelly, 2011). Students may not be fully aware
of their basic needs but understand that there are some general circumstances that strongly relate to the
way they feel. For example, students realise that when people pay attention to their words or actions
they feel powerful; by making choices they feel the importance of freedom; and through laughter they
learn about fun (Brooks Young, 2011). These constitute the source of all internal motivation and guide
their behaviour. However, the behaviours through which individuals choose to satisfy those needs may
be quite different. Individuals choose to behave in different ways to fulfil their needs because their
quality worlds are different (Brooks Young, 2011). Choice theory suggests that teachers can help
students identify the circumstances that trigger their behaviours, which in turn

Comparing Kierkegaard s Absolute Duty To God
Since, faith is the paradox whereby the single individual s inner ethical is higher than the outer
universal ethical, therefore the single individual preforms the absolute duty to God. When the single
individual carries out his absolute duty to God it can not be allowed to be interceded and thus the
absolute duty cannot be understood nor communicated in the universal. If there was the possibility of
faith being communicated than, this according to Kierkegaard would not be faith in its true essence,
but rather simply religious trial.
According to Hegelian philosophy, for one to exist as a single individual is to be seen as tranquil and
does not require much human morality, and because of this the universal is seen as a very much
courageous goal that all should strife for in their existence. However, Søren Kierkegaard further
deliberates, that if a single individual is to truly live in absolute isolation (due to their absolute duty to
God and thus being the knight of faith), if that single individual as Kierkegaard puts it, speaks and
lives with fear and trembling, they would all know that to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To attain this truth, we must suppress our individuality and participate instead in the universal. There
is no private relation to God because we must forgo our privacy in order to come into contact with
God: as a result, we can only speak of God in the third person. Johannes seizes on this point in
suggesting that the knight of faith can speak to God in the second person singular. Johannes suggests
that the knight of faith has an intimate relation to God.
Johannes argues that the knight of faith acts in total isolation from everyone else. His relation to God
is a private one, and cannot be justified by an appeal to the universal. Though it is noble for the single
individual to aspire to the universal, God may call for actions that cannot be justified in the

differences of each procedure were performed. In two different procedures, lead nitrate and potassium
iodide were used to isolate and purify pure solid lead iodide, and the differences in the limiting
reactant and solid lead iodide was observed. The amount of solid lead iodide was calculated by the
measuring the mass of which the solid lead iodide was created in before and after the purification of
solid lead iodide.
The purification and isolation of solid lead iodide was achieved in two different process with different
results. In the evaporation collection, the solid iodide was created by adding heat to the water base
solution of lead ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the evaporation collection, potassium nitrate was left behind in the casserole dish. If no potassium
nitrate was present the percent yield would be closer to 100% yield, but this is not the case. The
percent yield for the evaporation collection was 144% yield which is not close to 100% yield.
The evaporation collection procedure was able to achieve over 75% yield with a percent yield of
144%, while the vacuum filtration was unable to achieve the goal with only 56.9% yield. The
evaporation collection was able to achieve the 144% yield by carefully transferring all of the liquid
from the test tube to the casserole dish with accuracy and using distilled water in the procedure.
Based on the percent yields, the evaporation collection technique would be the best option since it
achieved 144% yield, which is over the 75% yield goal. Although the evaporation collection attained a
better percent yield, the vacuum filtration produces a purer lead iodide because the potassium nitrate is
filtered out of the Buchner funnel, while in the evaporation collection keeps the potassium nitrate in
the casserole dish.
In this experiment, there are two different systematic errors to consider. In the evaporation collection,
the casserole dish that was used had an uneven edge which could have allowed some of the solution,
which contained lead

Mid Life Crisis Research Paper
Mid life crisis, a term coined by psychoanalyst Elliot Jacques, is a psychological phenomenon which
occurs in middle aged adults around the age of 45 64 (Midlife, n.d.). When an individual endures a
mid life crisis, he or she become skeptical of his/her identity and self confidence. A plethora of
questions then arise, which commonly produce depression, doubt, anxiety, recklessness, and the urge
to drastically modify one s current life. Though simple in definition, a mid life crisis is quite complex
and has many facets entangled within it. As such, I have chosen the topic of mid life crisis because of
its nature and its effects on mentality of middle aged individuals. The existence of mid life crises
brings about many questions. What causes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Psychologist Marcia Reynolds attributes the cause of midlife crisis in women to be because of the
high expectations of career advancement women have while entering the workforce (Reynolds, 2011).
This expectation does not correspond with reality, and women must work hard to achieve a high title.
As time progresses some women become unsatisfied with their position in the workforce and develop
a mid life crisis. Aside from a mid life crisis occurring due to workforce related issues, in women, a
mid life crisis can also occur because her caring nature and financial security. While caring for family,
once the opportunity arises to do things that have been put off, she is left with no true direction and is
plunged into a mid life crisis. The occurrence of menopause is a factor as well. Menopause causes
changes in female individuals both biologically and psychologically. In particular, the psychological
changes some women experience during menopause causes them to question how they have lived
their life and whether they should make changes to better their lives (Meyer, 2017). Though men do
not develop menopause, the mindset of questioning one s life during a mid life crisis occurs regardless

Cinderella, By Bruno Bettelheim
Introduction
Disney Princesses are known to be depending on their Prince Charming for happiness. As years pass
by, Princesses today are more independent and don t need a Prince Charming in their lives. This idea
affects children who feel inspired by these Fairy Tales. In the article, Cinderella, by Bruno Bettelheim,
he states, It gives the child confidence that the same will be true to him. This makes children think that
they will have a similar life as them. Disney Princesses have changed overtime since the 1930s. In this
essay, I will give examples of Disney Princesses and how they have changed from dependent to
independent in the movie industry.

Belle is a confusing character and hard to tell whether she is independent or dependent before she was
imprisoned. She lives with her father, but also does things on her own. She is in the middle of being
dependent and independent. When Belle becomes a prisoner and lives with the Beast, she is
considered dependent, since she isn t on her own. Disney is starting to change the dependent life of
Princesses by making them independent.
Moana
An adventurous young teen, goes on a mission to find demigod Maui to help her save the people and
their island. She was given a green stone by her grandmother to restore the heart of Te Fiti that Maui
took. Throughout her journey, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers her own
identity.
Moana is known to be an independent Disney Princess. She goes on a voyage on her own to find
Maui. Disney wanted to make Princesses independent to show children that you don t need to be
dependent to have a perfect life. In the article, A Modern Cinderella, by Karol Kelly, she says,
Feminism requires self acceptance as well as tolerance, that is, the acceptance of others dreams and
decisions for themselves. She means that feminism doesn t have to be like a Cinderella story, where
you have a Fairy Godmother and have a Prince Charming at the end. Moana is a different type of
Princess that has big dreams, and doesn t require a Prince in her life.

Since the 1930s, Princesses were more

The Impact of Exchange Rate Fluctuation on Macroeconomic...
THE IMPACT OF EXCHANGE RATE FLUCTUATION ON MACROECONOMIC
PERFORMANCE IN NIGERIA
CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
This study is designed to examine the causes of exchange rate fluctuations and their impact on the
Nigerian economy since there is scarcely any country that lives in absolute autarky in this globalised
world. The economies of all the countries of the world are linked directly or indirectly through asset
or/and goods markets. This linkage is made possible through trade and facilitated by foreign
exchange. The price of foreign currencies in terms of a local currency (i.e. foreign exchange) is
therefore important to the understanding of the growth trajectory of all countries of the world.
According to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
1.2 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
In every country of the world, exchange rate level is the paramount target of economic policy
targeting. In other words, exchange rate policy should be geared towards the attainment of long term
equilibrium rate, so as to achieve certain macro economic objectives e.g. balance of payments
equilibrium, through proper management of the Nigerian exchange rate policy. The country started
operating the floating exchange rate system in 1986 after the introduction of SAP. It was expected that
the country experience development but the reverse was the case because the country suffered
consistent hopeless development situation as her naira depreciates often against other foreign
currencies, especially the dollars which was universally accepted as the global medium of exchange.
Before the floating system was introduced, $1=NO.89 but after that in 1966 we have $1=N22.05 and
even today we have $1=N150.7 .This is quite disheartening, regardless of the effort of the government
of Nigeria through the activities of the regulatory body such as the establishment of second tier
foreign exchange market (SFEM) in 1986 and interbank foreign exchange market (IFEM) in 1989 and
currently the foreign exchange market (AFEM) in 1995.
The depreciation of naira over the years has caused many firms especially the import dependent firms
to suffer many loses as a result of exchange rate fluctuations. This has further led to difficulty in

Horse Charities
Horse Charities of America/Equus Foundation
Many Horses have dramatic stories of when they are raced and competed, they get hurt. Then the
Horse can no longer compete and make the owner money. The owner then gets rid of the Horse or just
leaves it to die. The cruel Horse owner wants more money and starts the horrible process over. I ve
always known about the mistreatment with animals, Horses in particular, but I ve never been able to
do anything about it. Now I know what to do about the cycle of abuse. That disgusting process with
Horses doesn t have to happen to as many Horses thanks to the funding of Horse Charities of America
that sponsors many other charities that rescues, rehabilitates, and re homes Horses to heal not just the
gentle giants, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ever since this foundation started, they have made certain that the funds go to legit places that will
rehabilitate, foster, and rescue Horses, given to therapies and Horseman programs. They always give
large enough donations to the chosen charity to actually do something that will make a difference. The
money doesn t just come out of nowhere, this charity does a spectacular event to raise money. Though
the events are different every time, this year the have an event in Fairfield County Hunt Club,CT. The
way it works is that you donate money. If you donate over $250 then you get a seat at the Grand Prix
nothing up front, but you still get a seat and you would enjoy a show while helping a good cause. The
more you donate the closer seat you get at the show, if you donate $2,500 or more you get a front row
seat at the show. You are fed in a luncheon fashion while you watch the Grand Prix with your family
and friends. Then later there is a auction to raise even more money for the good cause. Even though
this money raising event is far away in Connecticut, I believe this is a very important charity to help
for the sake of humans and the sake of

  • 2. The Birth Of America Is Well, The Biggest And Greatest The birth of America is well, the biggest and greatest thing to ever happen to us. There are many things that led up to the 1865 era such as salutary neglect, the Constitution, the Louisiana Purchase, Manifest Destiny, and Slavery. Those are just a few things that America powered through to get where we are today. Our Forefathers attempted to rectify what some would consider harsh actions made by the kingdom of Britain in the mid 1700 s. The British didn t take the American territories seriously and just saw them as colonies to be used and exploited in whatever way that best suited the kingdom s interest. By the end of the assembly of the Second Continental Congress, America would declare war on Britain. In Lexington in April of 1775 the British troops and colonial militiamen kicked off the armed conflict. By the summer the rebels were waging a full scale war for their independence. France entered the American Revolution on the side of the colonists in 1778, turning what had been a civil war into an international conflict. French assistance helped the Continental Army force the British surrender in Yorktown, Virginia, in 1781. We had won our Independence. Though fighting would not officially end until 1783. The boom of unrelated diversification of the early 1960s and 1970s was halted abruptly however by the failure of many large diversified companies (Grant 2005b:447). Branson s management strategy and the success of Virgin Group were founded on the ideology of the Business of Trust . First of all, Branson recognized that large companies were more likely to be mistrusted by their employees, whereas smaller companies often have the loyalty of staff because of the culture of collaboration. Productivity, performance and retention rates suffered in low trust firms. While managing in smaller companies in a flattened organizational hierarchical way would facilitate the communications and interactions between the managers and employees. ... • 14. Causes Of College Tuition There have been arguments when people discuss the price of attending college. The main argument is whether college tuition is too expensive or not. Over the last few decades the college tuition rates have increased drastically, but is a rate increase necessarily a good or bad thing. The cost to attend is too expensive especially for low and middle income families. There are many reasons why tuition could be considered too expensive; they include, rise in tuition, little financial aid, and lack of college savings, to name a few. The first reason why college tuition is considered too expensive is the continuing rise of tuition itself. In one article, between the years 1973 to 2008 tuition for a four year increased from $9,876 to $25,145 for a private college, and $2,175 to $6,585 for public. While a two year college tuition increased from $1,360 to $2,402. Within a thirty five year period tuition increased $15,267 for a private college, $4,410 for public, and $1,042 for a two year college. This might not seem too bad for it occurring in a thirty five year period, but really think about it college tuition increases a little each day and it adds up pretty quickly ( Chronology: Recent Key Events in History of College Tuition Cost 1). Sarah Turner mentions in her section of the anthology College Choices: The Economies of Where to Go, When to Go, and How to Pay , that due to high levels of tuition students are least likely to enroll in higher education. In the middle of Lord of the Flies, Jack s savage like/instinctual behavior is another example of how he is a dynamic character. Jack is savage like because, at first, Jack thinks everything is fun, but soon realizes it is not fun anymore and wants to leave the island. Jack s main goal throughout most of the novel is to kill a pig. Jack is put in charge of maintaining the signal fire. After a while, Jack becomes distracted and goes off hunting where he forgets about the signal fire and lets it go out. Soon after, Ralph sees the fire has gone out and is very angry with Jack because there was a ship that passed them that could have rescued them if there was a fire. Also, after Jack forms his tribe, they also need to build a fire, so they steal wood from Ralph s fire. The second time Jack goes hunting, he kills a sow, which is a female pig. Next, Jack and his tribe cook the pig and hang the pigs head on a stick for the beast. The pig s head on a stick is a symbol of evil among the boys. This is how Jack s savage like/instinctual behavior shows he is a dynamic character in the beginning of the novel. Violence begins to emerge in Jack at the end of the novel. • 18. Research Methodologies Research Methodologies In selecting a research methodology, researchers must approach the subject matter with consideration of that which is desired as a data outcome. In light of this, the most commonly used methodologies are quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods. The quantitative study is usually defined so as a result of a clearly delineated range of numerical scales, sets or representations designed to concretely define the findings of the resultant research. By its hypothesis and its methodology, this study will be required to employ a process which is geared toward empirically defensible findings. The determinism of numerical evaluation is widely considered less vulnerable to individual biases unless it can be deduced that such bias informed the composition of the equation methodology. Qualitative analysis essentially places a heavier demand upon the involvement of the researcher in designing the frame for data analysis and the manner in which this analysis is carried out. This means that the qualitative research must plumb through a considerable amount of research and data in order to whittle down observational findings to a set of relevant and useful resolutions. It is a genre that is never by itself and always goes along with other genres such as comedy, drama, or romance. Both shows have some similarities and differences in the three categories of: types of characters, story lines, and the format. Both of the shows have a main character that parallel each other. In Love, Chunibyo Other Delusions, Rikka Takanashi is a delusional character who believes she is a sorceress possessed by the Eye of the Wicked Lord and wears an eyepatch to seal its power . Analysis of the Music Industry Music may be defined romantically as `the food of love (Shakespeare) or more prosaically as `sound with particular characteristics (Wikipedia), but it is undeniably a `vibrant artform (Arts Council England) and one which touches more people, in more ways, than any other art form. In commercial terms, music certainly generates a higher market value than the other arts, although a comprehensive market size for music in all its manifestations is impossible to calculate. It was believed that cocaine consumption by the black community could make them disregard the barriers that society had established between different races , while Chinese were portrayed as assiduous opium smokers and Mexicans were labeled as avid marihuana smokers (Recio 2002; 23,24). Medical professionals in the United States were strongly opposed to an all out ban of these drugs, but eventually the United States congress passed the Harrison Act. Later, United States congress passed the Volstead Act, which prohibited alcohol. In 1922 the Harrison Act became a totally prohibitionist piece of legislation (Recio 2002; 25, 26). • 23. The Provision Of Health Care Services English essay 1 Esha K Gogri Should the provision of health care services in an economy be left to the market or should the state provide? Discuss with reference to the UK. Health care services are medical and remedial care or service provided to the population of a nation. Health care services can be provided by the state or left to privatization to provide. It is crucial for all to have access to health care services, as it is a basic human right. In the UK, the National Health Services is a publicly funded health care system. The NHS is financed directly through taxation and so is freely available to citizens. (http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/thenhs/about/Pages/overview.aspx) The efficacy of the government provided NHS service is debatable as it can be argued that the provision of health care services by the market is a better option. Although the market could provide these services, it can be argued that the state should as it allows wider access, can positively impact the labour force and increase economic growth and development. The most convincing justification for government intervention in healthcare services is probably that affordable, timely and quality healthcare is a basic and crucial human right (http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs323/en/). Healthcare that is offered by the state aims to ensure that the majority, if not all, have access to at least the most fundamental healthcare services irrespective of their affluence. The word Pulpit is derived from the Latin word pulpitum meaning platform or an elevated stand of stone or wood for the preacher or reader to stand on. Pulpit is essentially a place where something important happens in the church. In early Christian times, ambo was used for preaching instead of pulpit, and lectern, a speaker s stand in the church, which means to read was used for reading scriptures by laymen, and also used for announcements, and to lead congregation prayers. Every Christian believes that God speaks to us through the proclamation of his Word; hence, the place where the Word is proclaimed should be one of the focal points in the church. Some argues that it is not essential and necessary to have two places for proclaiming the Word (i.e. pulpit and lectern). The journey retold in Book VI of The Prelude was one Wordsworth had made in 1790, when he was twenty years old, when the turn of the century was still ten years away, and when the Revolution was still in its earlier, more optimistic phases. As he had also done in Tintern Abbey, Wordsworth uses his memories of the travels of his younger days to reflect upon the changes in his life since those days, as well as to express his belief in The universal reason of mankind / The truth of young and old (VI. 476 477) that would always endure even through the most violent upheavals in society. Comparing Kierkegaard s Absolute Duty To God Since, faith is the paradox whereby the single individual s inner ethical is higher than the outer universal ethical, therefore the single individual preforms the absolute duty to God. When the single individual carries out his absolute duty to God it can not be allowed to be interceded and thus the absolute duty cannot be understood nor communicated in the universal. If there was the possibility of faith being communicated than, this according to Kierkegaard would not be faith in its true essence, but rather simply religious trial. According to Hegelian philosophy, for one to exist as a single individual is to be seen as tranquil and does not require much human morality, and because of this the universal is seen as a very much courageous goal that all should strife for in their existence. In two different procedures, lead nitrate and potassium iodide were used to isolate and purify pure solid lead iodide, and the differences in the limiting reactant and solid lead iodide was observed. The amount of solid lead iodide was calculated by the measuring the mass of which the solid lead iodide was created in before and after the purification of solid lead iodide. The purification and isolation of solid lead iodide was achieved in two different process with different results. In the evaporation collection, the solid iodide was created by adding heat to the water base solution of lead ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the evaporation collection, potassium nitrate was left behind in the casserole dish. If no potassium nitrate was present the percent yield would be closer to 100% yield, but this is not the case. The percent yield for the evaporation collection was 144% yield which is not close to 100% yield. The evaporation collection procedure was able to achieve over 75% yield with a percent yield of 144%, while the vacuum filtration was unable to achieve the goal with only 56.9% yield. The evaporation collection was able to achieve the 144% yield by carefully transferring all of the liquid from the test tube to the casserole dish with accuracy and using distilled water in the procedure. Based on the percent yields, the evaporation collection technique would be the best option since it achieved 144% yield, which is over the 75% yield goal. Although the evaporation collection attained a better percent yield, the vacuum filtration produces a purer lead iodide because the potassium nitrate is filtered out of the Buchner funnel, while in the evaporation collection keeps the potassium nitrate in the casserole dish. In this experiment, there are two different systematic errors to consider. In the evaporation collection, the casserole dish that was used had an uneven edge which could have allowed some of the solution, which contained lead ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A plethora of questions then arise, which commonly produce depression, doubt, anxiety, recklessness, and the urge to drastically modify one s current life. Psychologist Marcia Reynolds attributes the cause of midlife crisis in women to be because of the high expectations of career advancement women have while entering the workforce (Reynolds, 2011). This expectation does not correspond with reality, and women must work hard to achieve a high title. As time progresses some women become unsatisfied with their position in the workforce and develop a mid life crisis. Aside from a mid life crisis occurring due to workforce related issues, in women, a mid life crisis can also occur because her caring nature and financial security. While caring for family, once the opportunity arises to do things that have been put off, she is left with no true direction and is plunged into a mid life crisis. The occurrence of menopause is a factor as well. Menopause causes changes in female individuals both biologically and psychologically. In particular, the psychological changes some women experience during menopause causes them to question how they have lived their life and whether they should make changes to better their lives (Meyer, 2017). Though men do not develop menopause, the mindset of questioning one s life during a mid life crisis occurs regardless of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the article, A Modern Cinderella, by Karol Kelly, she says, Feminism requires self acceptance as well as tolerance, that is, the acceptance of others dreams and decisions for themselves. She means that feminism doesn t have to be like a Cinderella story, where you have a Fairy Godmother and have a Prince Charming at the end. • 43. The Impact of Exchange Rate Fluctuation on Macroeconomic... THE IMPACT OF EXCHANGE RATE FLUCTUATION ON MACROECONOMIC PERFORMANCE IN NIGERIA CHAPTER ONE INTRODUCTION 1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY This study is designed to examine the causes of exchange rate fluctuations and their impact on the Nigerian economy since there is scarcely any country that lives in absolute autarky in this globalised world. The economies of all the countries of the world are linked directly or indirectly through asset or/and goods markets. This linkage is made possible through trade and facilitated by foreign exchange. The price of foreign currencies in terms of a local currency (i.e. foreign exchange) is therefore important to the understanding of the growth trajectory of all countries of the world. According to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 1.2 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM In every country of the world, exchange rate level is the paramount target of economic policy targeting. In other words, exchange rate policy should be geared towards the attainment of long term equilibrium rate, so as to achieve certain macro economic objectives e.g. balance of payments equilibrium, through proper management of the Nigerian exchange rate policy. The country started operating the floating exchange rate system in 1986 after the introduction of SAP. It was expected that the country experience development but the reverse was the case because the country suffered consistent hopeless development situation as her naira depreciates often against other foreign currencies, especially the dollars which was universally accepted as the global medium of exchange. Before the floating system was introduced, $1=NO.89 but after that in 1966 we have $1=N22.05 and even today we have $1=N150.7 .This is quite disheartening, regardless of the effort of the government of Nigeria through the activities of the regulatory body such as the establishment of second tier foreign exchange market (SFEM) in 1986 and interbank foreign exchange market (IFEM) in 1989 and currently the foreign exchange market (AFEM) in 1995. The depreciation of naira over the years has caused many firms especially the import dependent firms to suffer many loses as a result of exchange rate fluctuations. This has further led to difficulty in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
