Habit And Haggard Imperialism
Luckily, the Nesbit and Haggard consulted Budge in order to contextualize their novels instead of
Petrie. According to Sands O Connor:
E. Nesbit and H. Rider Haggard wrote fantasies about Ancient Egypt that depicted, for child readers, a
particular set of views about race, religion, and nation. These views were not the then popular views of
Sir William Flinders Petrie, but the more liberal views of E. A. Wallis Budge. Through fantasy, Nesbit
and Haggard were able to break from traditional views and offer children a vision of a past and future
empires that would embrace cultures, accept multiple religions, and promote political and cultural
reform.
As such, Sands O Connor argues that while these authors were doing somewhat positive work in
trying to properly contextualize their work, the liberalism of Budge ultimately supported imperialism.
Even if he was a less inflammatory Egyptologist than Petrie, the portrayal of ancient Egyptian magic,

Sands O Conner s analysis of this agreeable, as even after reading the plethora of historical
information inserted into a novel like The Story of the Amulet, it s still incredibly evident that ancient
Egypt is seen as a fictional place where there s real magic and curses, rather than a historical kingdom.
For example, another work of fiction, Lot No. 249 (1892), depicts ancient Egyptian magic as well. Lot
No. 249, written by Arthur Conan Doyle, is a short horror story that depicts an Oxford college student
who reanimates a mummy using ancient Egyptian magic. This narrative seems to have an interesting
commentary on Egyptomania in academics. The short story revolves around Abercrombie Smith, a
medical student at Oxford College, and his neighbor Edward Bellingham. Bellingham is portrayed as
a fanatical Egyptology student, and even goes as far as to keep an Egyptian mummy that he purchased

Is King Arthur Real Or Real
For years, historians and scholars have been questioning the truth behind the great King known as
King Arthur. His power and legend have influenced many modern aspects as well as having a direct
effect on various components of British history. Yet, there is not definitive proof as to whether or not
this man was real. King Arthur s story has been told for years upon years and is considered to be on
the of the most heroic legends of all time, but the question still remains: Is King Arthur real? King
Arthur s legend is based off of a true King that was able to defend Britain from a Saxon invasion.
History says that this King was extremely heroic and brave. It is this great King that the legend comes
from. The first time King Arthur s name is mentioned is in the writings of a Welsh historian, Nennius.
He often references to a powerful King named Arthur, who helped the Britain in twelve specific and
real battles. The only problem with this is that it is impossible for one man to have fought in all said
battles. These battles took place all over the country of Britain and over the course of around a
hundred years. It is physically impossible for one man to have fought in all twelve battles. Ignoring
the facts, various Welsh painters decided to paint the famed King Arthur that Nennius spoke so highly
of. Their creation of King Arthur led to the spread of the mighty King s fame. Nennius s tales went on
to spark fire for years to come. History of the King s of Britain was the

The Therapeutic Benefits Of Yoga And Mindfulness Meditation
The Therapeutic Benefits of Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation We live in a world today in which we
are continuously looking for the new thing. With the speed of technological advances in our society,
individuals have become accustomed to reading up on the newest, most innovative to date jet plane,
new shoes with new technology for speed and agility, and, of course, new iPhones coming out twice a
year with cool new applications. The common word here is new and it is a simple syllable that has the
power to make any novel thing be perceived as appealing. As modern medicines continue to develop,
the public is also in demand for new age therapies, and thus we have seen an increase in attention
being directed toward the use of holistic medicines. Naturalistic and holistic methods are receiving
positive criticisms leading to an increase in the attention it is being granted them from multiple fields
of study. Due to the positive effects often observed as a result of such therapies, as well as their lack of
negative side effects, therapies that exclude the use of chemical medicines and focus on natural
healing are gaining international popularity. With media s current emphasis on physical fitness, society
is showing in an increased interest in keeping up with the trend a constructive trend when compared to
other subjects emphasized by the media. Furthermore, there have been countless reports stating the
benefits that physical activity has to, not only one s physical state,

The Dark Knight
2012 was a great year for nerds like myself. The Avengers, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and
The Dark Knight Rises all came out during this year. Each movie piqued the anticipation of fans
everywhere. For me, the last of these three seemed the most intriguing. Christopher Nolan, fresh off
the brilliant Inception was concluding his epic The Dark Knight Trilogy. The Dark Knight became one
of the best sequels ever, so I expected The Dark Knight Rises to live up to Batman Begins, at least.
Unfortunately, lightning did not strike twice because The Dark Knight Rises, while still a good movie,
is the worst in the trilogy.
This film takes place eight years after the awe inspiring events of The Dark Knight. The lies told at the
end of the previous film have served their purpose. Gotham has become a cleaner, more crime free
city than ever before. But not all is well. Bruce Wayne (Christiaan Bale reprising his role) has become
a recluse. Jim Gordon (played again by Gary Oldman) feels overwhelmed by guilt. To top it all off,
Gotham faces a new terrorist threat from an unknown entity known as Bane (Tom Hardy). To combat
Bane, Batman must return from his self imposed exile to save Gotham once more.
All the returning actors give worthy performances in their respective roles, which they have made
their own. Christian Bale simply inhabits Batman at this point, and he adds more depth to Bruce
Wayne in this third movie. Morgan Freeman provides a characteristically on point performance as

Aristotle Virtues
There are two kinds of virtues: moral and intellectual. Intellectual virtues are learned by experience
and time, whereas moral virtues are learned by habits and practice. Virtues are not given to us at birth
(nature); we have to make our own effort to train ourselves to be virtuous. In the next few paragraphs,
Aristotle emphasizes how pleasure and pain play an important role in how our moral virtues are
developed. To explain he uses an example of a glutton and a temperate person and the pleasure/pain of
food. Then he talks about how many people could be just but that doesn t necessarily mean that they
are virtuous. He proceeds to talk about his three criteria to determine if a person is virtuous. First
criteria is virtuous people know that

Rational Choice Theory Of Criminal Behavior Essay
People chose all behavior and including all criminal behavior. Which in this case the choices that
criminals make brings them pleasure and adrenaline. Criminal choices can be controlled by fear of
punishment, but not all the time. The crime will be limited when the benefits are reduced and the costs
increase. Rational choice theory is a perspective that holds criminality in the result of conscious
choice. Not to mention, that it is predicted that individuals choose to commit crime when the benefits
outweigh the costs of disobeying the law. In the rational choice theory, individuals are seen as
motivated offenders by their needs, wants and goals that express their preferences. This theory has
been applied to a wide of range in crime, such as robbery, drug use, vandalism, and white collar crime.
Furthermore, rational choice theory had a revival in sociology in the early 1960s, under the heading of
exchange theory, and by the end of the decade was having a renewed influence in criminology, first as
control theory and later as routine activities theory.
Rational choice theory addresses, criminal behavior in various ways. In addition, this theory also falls
short in many places. I have decided to work on the rational theory because it is a common theory that
I see on a day to day base. I feel that anyone who breaks the law should be held responsible and not be
rewarded with such a low punishment. If our criminal justice system enforces stricter punishments
than those who are

Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, And Mesopotamia
In ancient Egypt, Rome and Mesopotamia the connections that the people had with their rulers
stemmed from their belief that their ruler had a close connection with their God s. Because of the vast
role that religion played in their lives it was important to show their admiration and appreciation for
these royal beings. From a psychological standpoint, through their style, significance, and idealization,
Mesopotamia, Egypt and Rome s depictions of royalty within their artworks functioned as the best
way to encompass the impression, and supremacy that a ruler held over their people.
For many of the people of Mesopotamia the most important part of their society was their religion and
their royalty. They believed that they held close relationships with their Gods and they believed that
their rulers were the closest possible connection that they had to their Gods. An ancient Sumerian
proverb states Man is the shadow of God, but the king is God s reflection (Alexander). The king was
believed to be personally chosen by the gods and acting in their will however they were not
considered to be god like.
The king s responsibilities included participating in religious rituals, managing the state during peace
and war time, and creating laws. The Mesopotamians believed that in order to protect themselves they
needed to gain more resources and people and this was done by expanding and conquering
surrounding areas. Another role of the king was to issue codes of law with the ideal that he

Essay on Supreme-Commander, Dwight David Ike Eisenhower
The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty loving people everywhere march
with you... I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept
nothing less than full Victory (General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander, Order of the
Day, June 6, 1944, 2)! The quote above was a speech given to the soldiers from the Allied Supreme
Commander, Dwight David Ike Eisenhower, about the upcoming invasion of Normandy, France on the
date June 6th, 1944. Becoming the Supreme Commander of the allies was a goal in Eisenhowers life.

so his father could take a better job in a creamery. At the age of six in Abilene, Dwight s three year old
brother died of diphtheria. His brothers death really hurt him but didn t stop him from having
wonderful memories in Abilene. Ike always cherished his days playing Baseball and football at
Abilene High School. After high school, Ike joined his father and uncle at the Bell Spring Creamery
and he was also a fireman while he worked at the creamery. Eisenhower loved his little brother Edgar.
All the money he earned as a fireman and working at the creamery went to his brothers tuition at the
University of Michigan. The two brothers made a deal. After two years they would switch places and
Edgar would be paying for Ike s education. In the end, Edgar didn t live up to his deal. In 1911,
Dwight got an appointment at the USMA (United States Military Academy) in West Point, New York,
where attendance was free. Once again he was the football star of USMA, but after a series of knee
injuries he was forced to stop playing football. In 1915, Eisenhower proudly graduated in the top of
his class, and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the army (Dwight D. Eisenhower 1 3).

The obstacles Eisenhower faced moved him to go from better achievements to achieve the American

Spring Awakening Play Theme
Spring Awakening is a rock musical set in late 19th century Germany. It follows the lives of young
teenagers (from fourteen to sixteen) as they navigate through the turmoil of their teenage sexuality.
The musical contains some explicitly mature content and themes, such as sex, conception, erotic
dreams, expressed desire for physical intimacy, physical and sexual abuse, hitting, ambiguously
consensual sex, suicide, inappropriate language such as cursing, teenage pregnancy, masturbation, and
death caused by an incorrectly executed abortion. The musical is based off of the play Spring
Awakening written by Frank Wedekind in the late 1800 s. At the time, it was written for the purpose of
commenting on how German culture revolved around the purpose of oppressing young teenagers
sexual desire and shaming those who were curious about sexuality. The controversial and, at the time,
problematic themes were meant to act as a wake up call to those who forced ignorance of sexual
instruction on their children. This is the reason for the significance of the setting, at the time Germany
was focused on preventing children from becoming educated on sex. As the characters grew up, this
setting was a catalyst for the tragic events that occurred in the wake of the children being poorly
informed on sex, pregnancy, and the cause of their sexual desires. While the musical adapted from the
original play does not contain the same social commentary, the harshness of the message is still
evident.

Paladins
Out of the many different classes to choose, I chose Paladin for several particular reasons. Paladins are
devoted healers, and they are extremely hard to kill, which are two major advantages of being a
Paladin. Paladins have holy power which is the ability used to maintain a rotation in any environment.
Paladins can also use Holy Shock or Crusader Strike to contain Holy Power charges. There are two
types of blessings that can be given to any player as long as they are in the same group as the Paladin.
The Blessing of Kings and Blessing of Might. The Blessing of Kings increases the players strength,
agility, stamina, intellect, and all magical resistances. Blessing of Might increases attack power and
regeneration of targets. Paladins ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When playing as a Holy Paladin, you are harder to take down when being attacked. Also, they do not
suffer as much when they are attacked. You can play as a Retribution Paladin, which are phenomenal
damage dealers and they focus on killing their enemies. A Protection Paladin are tanks that can hold
their own against a group of enemies and they make certain that the targets which aren t being hit
focus on the protection paladin himself instead of the damage dealers or healers. An Aura is a
permanent buff that assist an entire party, as long as the members are within forty yards of the Paladin.
There are five different types of Auras; devotion aura, retribution aura, concentration aura, resistance
aura, and crusader aura. Only one Aura can be used at a time, but if there are several Paladins in a
group, they may all use different Auras. If two Paladins use the same Aura, it will not double your
armor. Some of the disadvantages are that the Paladin kills slowly. Compared to some of the other
classes, the Paladin does minor damage. Although the Paladin is a healer, the magic defense is not
valuable unless suitably talented. Unless you play as the Retribution Paladin, some of the armor and
equipment does not accurately work

Classical Archaeology Research Paper
Classical Archaeology Exam Essay
Throughout history seemingly unrelated objects or ideas can be brought together and connected in the
most extraordinary ways. Many philosophers believe that everything in the world is connected and
intertwined in some way, shape, or form. These principles can be applied to many subjects including
archaeology. The scene of Ajax on the Francois krater can be linked to Polyklietos s Doryphoros by
applying them both to the fundamentals of evolution.
Both pieces are a major turning point in art for Greece. They took the best parts of their predecessor s
pieces and furthered them, like evolution. The Doryphoros completely changed the way that the
Greeks composed the body position of their sculptures. The Greeks started out creating sculptures in
the same bland form as the Egyptians, with the Korus. There are many of these sculptures, but
Polyklietos took the foundations and basic themes of the Korus and revolutionized the body position.
All he did was change the balance of the sculpture; he tilted the hips and shoulders and changed the
leg position a little. This small difference made the sculpture more lifelike and more realistic. He ...

changed the way athletes dress forever. Back in his playing days, Plank hated having to change his
sweat soaked cotton T shirts over and over again during two a days. Knowing that there simply had to

In a TQM effort, all members of an organization participate in improving processes, products,
services, and the culture in which they work (ASQ, 2016). TQM can be used based off eight (8) key
elements that most if not all companies use. The key elements are customer focused, total employee
involvement, process centered, integrated system, strategic and systematic approach, fact based
decision making and lastly communication. The first element of TQM is the most important element,
which is the customer. According to ASQ the element of customer focused is so that the customer
ultimately determines the level of quality. No matter what an organization does to foster quality
improvement training employees, integrating quality into the design process, upgrading computers or
software, or buying new measuring tools the customer determines whether the efforts were worthwhile
(ASQ, 2016). This element alone allows the company to use the customer at maximum potential. In

Corruption Of Society In Wag The Dog, By George Orwell And...
George Orwell, the author of Animal Farm and Barry Levinson director of the Cinematic production
Wag the Dog both explore in their texts the corruption of society. With in the texts both authors key
ideas are explored to exposing Corruption and to highlight how powers use manipulation and half
truths to gain and retain control. To make their ideas prudent to the audience, Orwell and Levinson
make use of various literary and filmic techniques, most prominent of these in both texts is the use of
Irony. These texts influence the audience directly to consider the potential folly of human forms of
governance, which is timely to society in our day.
Both Orwell and Levinson explore the ways in which social ideals are corrupted for personal power.
Orwell depicts Animal farm s fall into corruption through the narrative perspective of the working
animals where as Levinson exposes the already set corruption through a narrative perspective of The
Fixers. In Orwell s text he explores the corruption of the animals ideals of Animalism, similarly
Levinson depicts a country s corruption of the ideals of truth. Animalism, fundamentally corrupted in
the situational corruption of the Old Major s to the final words of the text. Old Major s words in the
first chapter clearly explain that in fighting against man they must not come to resemble him , by the
final the lines of the book this has been wholly corrupted when the animals looked from pig to man,

Civil Engineering And American Engineering
Civil Engineering
Not a lot of people know about civil engineering, civil engineering is the building of bridges,
roadways, and buildings; but civil engineering is so much more than that. According to Columbia
University which is located in New York, civil engineering is arguably the oldest engineering
discipline, the old civil engineering discipline or sanitary engineering has evolved into the modern
environmental engineering of such significance that most academic departments have changed their
names to civil and environmental engineering. Civil engineering has been around since people started
building major public works, known a mother engineering. The first private college to tech civil
engineering was Norwich University. Civil engineers do a lot more than design and build buildings;
bridges. They can also be found in the aerospace industry designing jetliners and space stations, the
automotive industry, power stations or where ever constructed factories or industries are located. civil
engineering focuses on the study of structural systems, the core courses in a civil engineering
curriculum reflect this. Most civil engineers start their learning with basic physics and calculus
courses. Later courses can include geology, soil mechanics, and design of steel structures. A civil
engineering curriculum is usually rounded out with advanced classes that match the student s desired
specialty, which may include development of concrete structures, and highway design, among

Cursive Negative Writing
Cursive handwriting has been considered an educational staple for years but with all the advances in
modern technology has the need to know how to write in cursive become irrelevent? With almost all
classes going digital should cursive no longer be taught to the younger generations? Some people
believe cursive handwriting is essential to the development of an active mind. Some people believe
typing things out as opposed to actually handwriting messages is more beneficial. Where do you stand
on this topic? Do you think public schools should teach their students how to write in cursive? Do you
think cursive handwriting is becoming obsolete?
As with many things taught to the younger generations, there always comes some sort of debate on
whether or not the knowledge being distributed is actually beneficial to their developing minds in the
long run. Will what the schools are teaching them actually help them in their lives as (hopefully) fully
functioning adults? Cursive handwriting and whether or not to remove it permenantly from the
educational curriculum has been being tossed back and forth. A survey given to handwriting teachers
revealed that only 37% of the handwriting teachers wrote in cursive. It used to be that a persons name
written in cursive was an important part of their identity, their literal and figurative signature so to
speak, but that is no longer the case. A signature is no longer needed for most legal documents now a
days. The use of an electronic signature

Online Courses are Superior to Traditional Courses Essay
In 1999, Mark Bonner of PricewaterhouseCoopers accurately predicted, Online learning will rapidly
become one of the most cost effective ways to educate the world s expanding workforce. Fifteen years
later, his statement is truer than ever, as the price of going to a four year university skyrockets, and
technology required to get the same degree online becomes more available. According to the National
Center for Education Statistics, from 2000 to 2010, the average cost for undergraduate tuition, room,
and board at public institutions increased over forty percent. There is good reason for the growth in
online learning in college environments. Student populations have diversified since the introduction of

As technology became more accessible, the diversification in student populations developed hand in
hand with more diverse course delivery methods (O Malley and McCraw). Today, online courses are
offered at most colleges to fit the needs of their diverse study bodies, and students who otherwise,
would not be able to take these courses. A study published in US News reported, more than six million
students took at least one online course during the fall 2010 semester, which is an increase of over ten
percent from the fall 2009 semester (Lytle). Many studies have found insignificant differences
between online and traditional course settings. For instance, in a literature review by Friday, et al., the
results of many studies did not show any substantial differences in performance between online and
traditional courses (69). However, Friday, et al., noted that at the undergraduate level, face to face
methods of course delivery are more beneficial in terms of student learning compared to online, web
based course delivery methods (77). Diaz and Cartnal note that the traditional classroom setting may
be especially motivating for extrinsically motivated students who prefer to accomplish goals in a face
to face setting where they are able seek the reward of the assignments of an instructor (135). Online

The Biblical Worldview Of A Worldview
A worldview is a compilation of one s belief that will help determine how one will react and
communicate based on new ideas, issues, disagreements, and in general, life s challenges; it is what
one relies on in order to answer those tough questions in relation to today s issues. A worldview will
determine how you look at any situation, from abortion, religion, gay marriage or to more mundane
issues, it is that innate belief that you have formulated in your life that will determine those outcomes
and how others will possibly perceive you to be. Word Count: 93 words Part II The biblical worldview
of our Origin started with God; He created our world, and all that exists within it, everything within
six days (Gen.1.1). God created man in His own likeness on the fifth day, out of dust, Adam was
made; Out of Adam s rib, woman was created (Gen.1.27, Gen.2.7). God is the great creator, He has
always been and always will be. Unlike theories that try to explain creation in just being a whimsical
roll of the dice, that somehow from a Big Bang explosion, life simply emerging cannot be; the
complexity of all of creation could not be something that just happened by luck. A master designer can
be the only explanation to explain how this beautiful, complex world came to be in all of its glory and
richness, down to the most specific detail, as well as how man was created from nothing. Man, unlike
all other animals, was the only one created in God s image. He gave man authority over all

Analysis Of The Book Of Cannibals
History: Whose Story Is It?
Interactions between people are often evaluated in terms of lands gained, lives lost, and valor earned,
but there is an arguably more powerful spoil of war that is rarely discussed: the right to write the story.
The victorious party gets to tell the tale, and indubitably the defeated are portrayed extremely
negatively if at all. Consider the many extant ancient Spanish texts compared to the lack of
decipherable Mayan texts: as part of their victory over the Mayans, the Spanish burned the Yucatan
almanacs. Cultural genocide of this sort is not rare by any means; imperialism leaves a trail of extinct
and dying cultures in its wake. The cannibalistic metaphor in Montaigne s Of Cannibals as well as the
essay itself illustrate how history is shaped by dominant narratives, made even more evident in King s
discussion of attitudes towards Native Americans in The Inconvenient Indian: A Curious Account of
Native People in North America.
Montaigne s description of natives consuming the defeated is analogous to European culture
displacing native culture. Just as the prisoner of war sang that part of him is his captor s own fathers
and grandfathers that he has previously consumed, the European domination of native culture became
another chapter in European history. The flesh the prisoner consumed, however, did not retain its
original shape. Instead, it was broken down and absorbed into his being. Similarly, the European
subsummation of Native American

Trait Factor Essay
Trait Factor (Parsons)
As a person, my qualities involve empathy, sympathy, compassion, and caring for those in hardship.
Through my upbringing, I took an interest aiding to animals, such for dogs, cats, and fish, who were
neglected. At age ten years old, I rescued an orange cat by the name of Ginger. Ginger became the best
furry friend, as a result animal rescue became my life calling. Since, I was/am caring and loving, I
explored professions relating to aiding others. According to Parsons, to make an occupational choice,

Accordingly, investigative, social, and conventional traits are the attributes in the counseling
profession. As stated above, school counseling profession complements my personal and
environmental characteristics. Investigative traits consist of problem solving and preciseness. A
counselor is faced with complex issues when working with children or teenagers. Often, counselors
search for solution to assist a student academically or socially. If a student is suffering academically, a
counselor will research the reasoning behind the matter. For myself, I work with adults and teenagers
who are on the spectrum. Therefore, complex issue arises daily. As a result, I take the initiative to
search solutions and compare the results with my colleagues. Secondly, the requirements of assisting
individuals on the spectrum is integrated into the community. It involves, working, helping, and
teaching him/her to interact appropriately out in the public. For example, people on the spectrum often
live with anxiety. Thus, when traveling to new surroundings, a staff member might encounter an
episode of anxiety. So, I learned several techniques to redirect the individual and reduce the anxiety.
The social aspect of school counseling is interacting with students, administration, and parents. As
stated above, I am employed by an agency for individuals with disabilities. That requires me to

Compassion Fatigue Research Paper
In the field of medicine, there is large debate over something known as compassion fatigue. Some say
it exists while others claim it doesn t. I believe the reason people debate the idea of compassion
fatigue being a reality is due to a misunderstanding in how compassion fatigue manifests.
Compassion fatigue has many names; vicarious trauma, secondary traumatic stress, and secondary
victimization. Dr. Frank M. Ochberg, MD, defines it as, ...a low level, chronic clouding of caring and
concern for others in your life whether you work in or outside the home. Over time, your ability to feel
and care for others becomes eroded through overuse of your skills of compassion. This is a good way
to explain the apathy brought on when compassion fatigue ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

I believe it to be more a lack of emotion due to frequently endured traumas in the field. In a situation
where you re able to say, Dr. Don used to react so much more to death five years ago. But he seems to
be numb now, you may be witnessing compassion fatigue manifest in lack of emotion. It s not that Dr.
Don no longer cares; It s that he no longer feels the need to, or has the will to, express emotions
toward the situation. This can pose a lot of issues in the long run. Unwillingness to express emotion
can turn to depression, anxiety, lethargy, and self loathing. But let s look at the other side and examine
why there are those that call it a myth.
Dr. Dani McVety, DVM, states that, ...I think it s an overused term in the veterinary industry,
following with a quote from her colleague, Dr. Alice Villalobos, DVM, I believe what we really
struggle with in our profession is not so much compassion fatigue as ethical fatigue. I believe this
whole heartedly. It s not that compassion fatigue isn t real; It s that many people blanket the term over
all signs of depression in the field. Compassion fatigue is a very particular mental reaction; Using it so
frequently leads to the disbelief in its existence, which can be damaging for those truly suffering from

Racial Identity In Maus
Art Spiegelman, the author of Maus 1: My Father Bleeds History and Maus 2: A Survivor s Tale: And
Here My Troubles Began, conveys many messages through his black and white illustrations in his
graphic novels. Spiegelman uses a system of representation based on racial identity to portray his
characters. The use of the mouse and cat can be seen throughout the novel to represent the characters,
enabling Spiegelman to convey the complexity of each character. There is a constant reference to
identity shown reoccurring in the novels. The use of masks can be seen to achieve a point of
pretending to be someone else. Eyes can tell a lot about one s characteristic. Spiegelman utilizes the
use of eyes through the novel to show feelings. His use of racial identity by the motif of the cats and
mice, the eyes, and the masks communicates the horrors of the Holocaust in such way words cannot
describe alone. The most visible symbol seen throughout the graphic novels was the use of animals
being given human like characteristics. One of the most effective ways Spiegelman uses to tell the
story of Maus was the representation of the Jews as mice, and the Nazi Germans as cats. Jews
characterized by mice were meant to represent quiet creatures; they are small and harmless. On the
other hand, the Nazi were characterized by cats. They are powerful, malevolent, and sly. This motif of
cats and mice shows how powerful the cats were and how powerless the mice were. Cats are predators
of the mice.

Analysis Of The Drummer Boy Of Shiloh
A hero can be from the past, from the present, from life, and from literature. The word hero has many
connotations and synonyms as well. However, not everyone gets enough credit for their heroic acts.
Throughout unit 1 in springboard it discusses some of the heroic acts that certain characters did. For
instance, in the story of the soldier that lost a leg, or the story of one of our presidents and how he
became someone that people could look up to. In the story of The drummer boy of Shiloh the hero is a
fourteen year old. A hero needs to have certain characteristics. For example, they need to be
responsible and stay strong throughout their journey. Think about how hard it would be to live life
without one of your leg, that would bring many conflicts in your life and only a hero could survive
such a big change. That was the case with Tristan Eugen Segers, a soldier whom lost his leg in
Afghanistan. In Soldier home after losing his leg AFGHANISTAN it states Segers wears shorts in the
warm summer weather, not even pretending to hide his prosthetic leg. He has run a marathon (Gale
Fiege 59). He lost his leg, yet he still manages to do activities without being embarrassed of his
prosthetic leg. However even without his leg he still wants to keep a normal life without anything
getting in his way, also now he has a child on its way. Therefore, he needs to stay strong to support his

The Environmental Issue Of Water Conservation
Water is essential for humanity s survival, and even though the world is largely covered by water, only
a small percentage is potable for human utilization. Approximately, on average, 120,000 gallons of
water is used annually for a single family household (Galbraith). This alarming number could be
reduced dramatically for the efforts of water conservation and lowering water bill prices for families
could subsequently save money that could be used for other expenses. Thus, conserving water would
prove beneficial and advantageous to not just in Texas, but to everyone else as well. Although
environmental policies have not been as popular with Congress and the state legislature, it is still an
important issue to consider since there are only a limited amount of resources for public use, such as
water. Both the federal and state governments have enacted policies towards the efforts of water
conservation that mainly affect cities and corporations and considered how it affects other organisms
in the environment. One current environmental issue between the U.S. federal and state governments
is concerning about the efforts of water conservation and other natural resources by passing several
laws that mainly affect both cities and companies that somewhat relate to preserving wildlife as well
for the ecosystem. The reasons initiating these legal changes are to conserve clean water for human
consumption and to preserve wildlife as well. Congress passed the Water Pollution Control Act

Immigration Negative Essay
Immigration is a touchy subject for many people in the United States, and it seems like depending on
which side of the political spectrum one falls there will be some radically different answers given as to
whether it benefits or harms the American economy. This dilemma has been one faced by new
Americans almost as long as the United States has existed, with fierce anti immigrant feelings
extending back to the days of the Know Nothings and beyond. This paper will seek to set the record
right, and will show that immigration is actually a good thing for the American economy, providing
evidence that is strong enough to convince readers from any side of the political aisle. Immigrants,
traditionally, have filled a key niche in the American economy by taking on roles that other American
citizens might not necessarily want to do, or that they will do but for a significantly higher pay. It is
important to remember that, during the founding days of this country, and especially of this city, many
of the jobs that were needed to actually get things done were manned by immigrants. Many of these
jobs were given to Irish and Italians, men and women who had come fresh from Europe in search of a
new life, and through their contributions we were able to build and expand in ways never before
expected. Great feats like the Empire State Building, the Transcontinental Railway, and others, were
all accomplished as a result of immigrant labor.
These lower paying jobs are still crucial to

Fertility Treatment Research Paper
Using Fertility Treatments as a Solution to Infertility Making big choices in life can be difficult,
especially if that big choice is having children. There are many men and women who are infertile that
still want to have children. Most decide to adopt other children who do not have families or their
families do not want them. But when adoption is not an option, there is now a way where those men
and women can have their own children together through fertility treatments. Fertility treatments
could be a good thing:being able to freeze egg and sperm, they can help infertile couples, and avoiding
transmitted diseases would be easier.
Egg Freezing The more popular and developing method of treatment is egg freezing. During this
procedure they take an embryo and freeze it for a month before they place it in a uterus to be later
fertilized (Maher). This method was first used for cancer patients. Cancer treatments, like
chemotherapy, can damage the ovaries and make it almost impossible for chemo patients to reproduce.
Doctors do this procedure by taking an ovary, from the patient before they start their cancer
treatments, and slicing it into strips before they freeze it (Though Experimental, Ovarian Tissue
Transplants Can Help Some Women Have Children)(see figure 1).

Types Of Contingencies, Designing A Contingency, And Owner...
According to Gunhan and Arditi (2007), there were three types of contingencies, namely designer s
contingency, contractor s contingency, and owner s contingency. They claimed that the best method to
predict contingency was to use previous experiences. They mentioned that a detailed study of four
factors, namely site conditions, schedule constraints, project scope, and constructability issues could
play an important role either in preventing the CO or reducing the chances of needing a big
contingency money. Smith et al. (1999) stated that the wise decision on the amount of contingency
used while bidding could have effects on whether wining of the contract. They interviewed 12
contractors on the contingency calculation method and found that among these contractors, nobody
was aware of any kind of estimation method for the contingency amount. Whenever, these contractors
used contingency, they simply followed the traditional approach of adding some percentages to the
base cost as contingencies. Mac and Picken (2000) conducted a study on two types of projects, namely
estimating using risk analysis (ERA) and non ERA projects. They made comparison between 45 ERA
projects with 287 non ERA projects and found that ERA method helped to reduce the unnecessary risk
allowances in projects. According to the authors, Hong Kong government was implementing this ERA
technique in public construction projects. In the ERA method, they described that the cost determined

Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night Figurative Language
The poem Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night by Dylan Thomas is a story about the poet s father
dying. The poet uses the story of the poem, different types of figurative language and tone to create a
feeling of conflict within the poem. Throughout this poem the conflict between person and nature is
clear.
Death is a part of nature and something that everyone must face. The poet writes about his father s
slow death and urges him to fight against it. Line two stanza one of the poem tells us do not go gentle
into that goodnight . The poet is trying to encourage his father to not give in to death. Figurative
language also helps shows us the conflict of the poem.

The Nature of Humans in Lord of the Flies by William Golding
The nature of human: are humans born good or evil? These two opposing views on human nature are
two topics that Rousseau and Golding have both touched upon. While Golding believes that humans
are born inherently evil, Rousseau believes the opposite: that humans are inherently good. Golding
wrote the novel Lord of the Flies as a response of the novel, The Coral Island by R.M. Ballantyne
because he believed that it was far fetched. In this novel Ballantyne s main characters are able to enjoy
their time on the deserted island. My opinion on this matter leans to Rousseau s side. I believe that
people are born naturally good. Jean Jacques Rousseau was born in Geneva in 1712 and died in 1778
in France. While Golding lived through the two World Wars, Rousseau never lived through such
conflict. A topic of Rousseau s that always came up is about how humans can keep their freedom
despite their dependence on one another. He believed that there were two things that had something to
do with this topic and that was a human s material and psychological need and that the latter was more
important. Rousseau believed that humans get their sense of self due to opinion of others. Rousseau
believes that humans are inherently born good and that and that it is society s corruption that causes
humans to be evil. William Golding was born in 1911 in Cornwall, England and died in 1993. William
Golding was born only three years before the start of World War I. Golding lived through both World

Ethnic Makeup Of Los Angeles
Since 1965 many people have immigrated to the greater Los Angeles area than anywhere within the
United States. These immigrants have rapidly and profoundly transformed the city s ethnic makeup
and spared heated debate over their impact on the region. Unfortunately within many areas of Los
Angeles there are those who have been pushed out of their homes, which have been passed through
generations of ethnic minorities in other areas due to gentrification. These gentrified areas have been
renovated by the city to allow for a much more comfortable living experience. One specific way this
has happened is by allowing an ease of access to mainstream markets that provide necessary measures
for their lifestyle. However those of this community are not the only communities that wish to adhere
to this lifestyle. Many Angelinos, although living within a community that is seen as poor and
unhealthy, actually care about the food that they put within their bodies. The resources that are readily
available in the gentrified location in Los Angeles, but not to other parts force them to eat from local
markets and convenience stores close where the quality is unhealthy. Organic, non gmo, and foods that

did and vice versa
Now let s find the center of mass in the x direction at the pause in this step.
The equation for the center of mass in the x direction is xcm=(Mx1+ mx2)/(M+m) where M is the
mass of the leader, m is the mass of the follower, x1 is the position of the leader, and x2 is the position
of the follower.
Turn
The turn starts off with the follower and the leader side by side and hands crossed. The leader pulls the
follower so that she is facing him.
Let us find the amount of work done by the system when defining the dancers as particles. The
diameter will be defined as the length from the outer edge of one dancer to the outer edge of the other
dancer. M will stand for the leader s mass and m will be used for the follower s mass. w will be the
angular velocity, I will be the moment of inertia, and r is radius.
To find the work you must subtract the intial kinetic energy from the final kinetic energy. The equation
for rotational kinetic energy is: Iw2. The equation for the moment of inertia for particles is: (M+m)r2
So calculating this gives you:{[(M+m)final radius2]final w2}

New York apartment to live in the woods. At this point in the story, the focus shifts back to the
beginning of Sam s experience. It is May when he leaves New York with a penknife, a ball of chord,
an ax, and $40 as well as a flint and steel for making fires. He has told his father that he plans to find
his great grandfather s farm in the Catskill Mountains and live there. His father says that every boy
should try some such adventure at least once in his life. He wishes Sam good luck but clearly expects
him to be home ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For the next few days, he catches fish for his meals as he surveys the territory, making himself a
diagram of apple trees, hickory trees, and other resources he will use later. He finds a stand of huge
hemlocks and decides to make a home inside the partially rotted trunk of the biggest tree. During these
early days, Sam is constantly uncomfortable, especially from hunger. He does not know how to plan
ahead for the next meal, so he continually works himself to a state of extreme hunger before he even
begins the hard work of catching and gathering his food. He is thrilled with his own cleverness the
first time it occurs to him to grab some crayfish before he is actually hungry for them. Slowly he
learns that constant, elaborate planning is necessary if he wants to succeed on the

Ridicule And Terrorism
In J. Michael Waller s, Ridicule: An Instrument in the War on Terrorism, the main idea presented is
that ridicule should be used as a war strategy against terrorism. Ridicule can be used in several
instances. These instances are as follows, ridicule raises morale at home, ridicule strips the
enemy/adversary of his mystique and prestige, ridicule erodes the enemy s claim to justice, ridicule
eliminates the enemy s image of invincibility, and directed properly at an enemy, ridicule can be a fate
worse than death. Ridicule and humor play an important part in the way the government is run. Waller
quotes John Cleese, If I can get you to laugh with me, you like me better, which makes you more open
to my ideas. The more comfortable an individual or politician feels around the person trying to
influence them, the more likely it will be that they will side with their opinion. The reason why
ridicule is so effective is that it leverages the emotions and implies the complicated and takes on the
powerful, in politics, business, law, entertainment, literature, culture, sports, and romance. The
instances aforementioned are thoroughly explained by Waller by using lengthy factual and historical
examples. Ridicule can be used as both an offensive and a defensive war strategy. Dictators, tyrants,
and those who aspire to seize and keep power by intimidation and force can tolerate no public ridicule.
In order to maintain their intimidating appearance, leaders suppress ridicule and

Simon And Piggy
There is No Mercy in Butchery, for Hunger is Everlasting Following a traumatic plane crash on a
small island in the Pacific, a group of young British schoolboys are left to fend for themselves. Food
and water are never an issue, but desires for meat, order, and rescue leave the boys divided between
savagery and civilization. The ensuing novel is William Golding s Lord of the Flies. Out of the older
boys, leaders emerge and focus on the issues of the island, eventually creating a devastating divide.
Two of the older boys, Piggy and Simon, are both benevolent, important characters, symbolic of the
positive aspects and achievements of man; they must die to reinforce a social hierarchy of human
instinct and demonstrate how savagery and contempt ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ultimately, they are killed to satisfy a social hierarchy. With Lord of the Flies, William Golding
creates an allegory to the social cycle of mankind in a post world war world with fragile civil
structure. Resembling a political system, the littluns are left unnamed to assume the role of common
citizens. Piggy embodies the achievements and technology of man, Simon, instinctual goodness, Jack,
savagery, and Ralph, law and order. On this island, where the civilization fails, first, the goodness is
dispersed; second, the achievements of man are taken advantage of, fragile and quick to fail; third, a
war is unleashed, and civilization collapses; finally, anarchy and savagery are held at bay. Piggy and
Simon s deaths highlight the consequences of this cycle. Golding s understanding of the fragileness of
the modern world is evident, as the novel takes place while a nuclear war is fought, presumably
contested between two estranged human cultures, similar to the instincts that battled on the island. It is
only through Simon s comment to Ralph that Golding provides a foreseeable end, and suggests his
faith in the leaders of the real world. With their rescue, the group of marooned British schoolboys
return to a changed world, without Piggy and Simon, only to reseed the elaborate social scheme of

A Managing General Agent ( Mga )
1a)
A Managing General Agent (MGA) is a type of delegated authority whereby the MGA organisation
not only holds the underwriting pen of the insurer but also undertakes all the other activities of an
insurer such as marketing, selling and administration. The only responsibility the MGA does not
provide is funding for claims. There are a number of advantages and potential disadvantages that
should be noted when considering delegating authority to an MGA.
The main advantages include:
§ The MGA carries out all marketing, selling and administration (other than claims), which means that
the insurer receives a steady flow of business without using any internal resources. Therefore the
insurer can gain a profitable stream of revenue without ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Regular audits must be conducted in order to satisfy the insurer that the risks being written on its
behalf are within the MGA s parameters of authority, as well as financial checks and ensuring the
quality of staff.
§ There is a potential for a conflict of interest between the MGA and the insurer, whereby the MGA
may wish to accept risks in order to boost sales or protect client relationships that the insurer would
usually want to reject. Therefore it is vital that the scope of authority delegated to the MGA is clearly
expressed.
§ Poor performance of the MGA has an impact on the insurer s income and reputation, and
amendments to authority or withdrawal from the arrangement takes time.
§ Clear terms of authority and documentation are vital, as ambiguous terms can lead to the MGA
accepting risks that are in breach of their authority and the insurer incurring liabilities as a result of
this.
1b)
In order to reduce the effects of possible disadvantages of an MGA the insurer can implement a
stringent auditing and monitoring environment. Monthly risk bordereaux should be submitted to the
insurer for review, and audits should be carried out at least annually. At the time of audit, the risk
carrier should ensure:
§ Risks being written on its behalf fall within the authority parameters of the MGA
§ Adherence to the terms and conditions of the

Mammoth Cave National Park Research Paper
Geology of Mammoth Cave Kentucky
Introduction
Mammoth Cave is found in Mammoth Cave National Park that was founded in 1941. Currently, it is
the longest cave known in the world with approximately 350 miles of underground interconnected
chambers and passages. Mapping and exploration continues and seems like it has no end. Mammoth
Cave National Park is situated near Park City in south central Kentucky. It lies in forested and hilly
areas of three counties; Hart, Edmonson, and Barren. It occupies about 50,000 acres. A landscape that
is mainly covered by the solution features such as sinking streams, large springs, sinking holes, and
caves is referred to as karst. For instance, as shown in figure 1. The caves are characterized by several

The typical paths found above the water level are canyon like and narrow as shown in figure 5 below.
(Figure 5)
These pictures show a canyon found in Mammoth Caves
They have sinuous, curving channels and their heights are higher compared to their widths (Thompson
Thompson, 2003). Irregularities toward the local direction of slant cause paths sinuosity. Canyons
located in the Mammoth Cave run up to 80 to 100 feet high and 10 30 feet wide but many of them are
not that high and much narrower. Vertical shafts are created where water can run down vertically
alongside fractures (Call, 2010) as illustrated in figure 6. (Figure 6)
This picture shows a shaft created by water running down
Shafts are oval or round in parallel cross section. In their walls, many shafts have a series of drains at
different elevations (Call, 2010). Currently, water running down a shaft exit through the drain located
in the lower part found on the floor of the shaft. In Mammoth Cave, the biggest shaft is about 150 feet
deep, and a diameter is some tens of

The Human Soul And The Soul s Salvation
In his letter to the priest, Sixtus, Augustine claims that ...when [humans] suppose that free choice is
taken away if they agree that a human being cannot have a good will without the help of God, they do
not understand that they do not strengthen human choice... he establishes one of the most debated
concepts of the Reformation period: The human soul cannot save its self. This idea of Soteriology,
expressed in his Letter 194 presents only one side of the argument. On the other side of the spectrum
of soteriological ideology was Pelagius s argument that to be just in God s sight, a person must be
pure in both body and heart. Through the use of Augustine s Letter 194 as well as Pelagius s Letter to
Demetrias I will first summarize each author s argument on how much of a role human free will can
contribute to the immortal soul s salvation. Then I will explain why both sides of the argument
appealed to large groups, and why each view point remained debated all the way into the Reformation
period. Before either argument can be dissected however, some issues with the sources must be
addressed. Firstly, Pelagius s text Letter to Demetrias has been translated from its original language
into English. Pelagius was very learned in both Latin and Greek, meaning that the original text was
probably written in one of these languages. The translation into English means that there was an
opportunity for error, and for details to get lost. It is also known that Pelagius was an

Analysis Of The Movie Return Streak And Winning A...
Manassas is an inner city high school in North Memphis Tennessee with a poorly funned football
program that holds a 110 year losing streak. Each individual athlete faces internal and external
challenges of growing up in a poor and dangerous neighborhood with little or no parental guidance at
all. Coach Bill Courtney devotes the majority of his time to Manassas s football program and also
steps in as a father figure to many of these boys and unites the team. In return, this causes the team to
perform better on the field, thus, breaking Manassas s losing streak and winning a playoff game. In
this documentary there was a mental skill that stood out the most, in particular, group dynamics/
cohesion. Throughout the team s football season coach Courtney helps the boys feel closer with their
fellow teammates, thus, resulting in each individual to look out for one another. With that said, in the
movie the team worked together to achieve a common goal which was to win a playoff game while
also working on individual interpersonal relationships with other teammates. With that in mind,
different elements of task and social cohesion are emphasized in this documentary. The theoretical
development of group dynamics/ cohesion was exhibited through O.C. Brown. To illustrate, in the
beginning of the film O.C. Brown was a short tempered kid who only looked out for himself,
however, throughout this documentary O.C. Brown begins to improve on his cohesion with the team
and also reveals

  • 2. Habit And Haggard Imperialism Luckily, the Nesbit and Haggard consulted Budge in order to contextualize their novels instead of Petrie. According to Sands O Connor: E. Nesbit and H. Rider Haggard wrote fantasies about Ancient Egypt that depicted, for child readers, a particular set of views about race, religion, and nation. These views were not the then popular views of Sir William Flinders Petrie, but the more liberal views of E. A. Wallis Budge. Through fantasy, Nesbit and Haggard were able to break from traditional views and offer children a vision of a past and future empires that would embrace cultures, accept multiple religions, and promote political and cultural reform. As such, Sands O Connor argues that while these authors were doing somewhat positive work in trying to properly contextualize their work, the liberalism of Budge ultimately supported imperialism. Even if he was a less inflammatory Egyptologist than Petrie, the portrayal of ancient Egyptian magic, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sands O Conner s analysis of this agreeable, as even after reading the plethora of historical information inserted into a novel like The Story of the Amulet, it s still incredibly evident that ancient Egypt is seen as a fictional place where there s real magic and curses, rather than a historical kingdom. For example, another work of fiction, Lot No. 249 (1892), depicts ancient Egyptian magic as well. Lot No. 249, written by Arthur Conan Doyle, is a short horror story that depicts an Oxford college student who reanimates a mummy using ancient Egyptian magic. This narrative seems to have an interesting commentary on Egyptomania in academics. The short story revolves around Abercrombie Smith, a medical student at Oxford College, and his neighbor Edward Bellingham. Bellingham is portrayed as a fanatical Egyptology student, and even goes as far as to keep an Egyptian mummy that he purchased from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Is King Arthur Real Or Real For years, historians and scholars have been questioning the truth behind the great King known as King Arthur. His power and legend have influenced many modern aspects as well as having a direct effect on various components of British history. Yet, there is not definitive proof as to whether or not this man was real. King Arthur s story has been told for years upon years and is considered to be on the of the most heroic legends of all time, but the question still remains: Is King Arthur real? King Arthur s legend is based off of a true King that was able to defend Britain from a Saxon invasion. History says that this King was extremely heroic and brave. It is this great King that the legend comes from. The first time King Arthur s name is mentioned is in the writings of a Welsh historian, Nennius. He often references to a powerful King named Arthur, who helped the Britain in twelve specific and real battles. The only problem with this is that it is impossible for one man to have fought in all said battles. These battles took place all over the country of Britain and over the course of around a hundred years. It is physically impossible for one man to have fought in all twelve battles. Ignoring the facts, various Welsh painters decided to paint the famed King Arthur that Nennius spoke so highly of. Their creation of King Arthur led to the spread of the mighty King s fame. Nennius s tales went on to spark fire for years to come. History of the King s of Britain was the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Therapeutic Benefits Of Yoga And Mindfulness Meditation The Therapeutic Benefits of Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation We live in a world today in which we are continuously looking for the new thing. With the speed of technological advances in our society, individuals have become accustomed to reading up on the newest, most innovative to date jet plane, new shoes with new technology for speed and agility, and, of course, new iPhones coming out twice a year with cool new applications. The common word here is new and it is a simple syllable that has the power to make any novel thing be perceived as appealing. As modern medicines continue to develop, the public is also in demand for new age therapies, and thus we have seen an increase in attention being directed toward the use of holistic medicines. Naturalistic and holistic methods are receiving positive criticisms leading to an increase in the attention it is being granted them from multiple fields of study. Due to the positive effects often observed as a result of such therapies, as well as their lack of negative side effects, therapies that exclude the use of chemical medicines and focus on natural healing are gaining international popularity. With media s current emphasis on physical fitness, society is showing in an increased interest in keeping up with the trend a constructive trend when compared to other subjects emphasized by the media. • 5. The Dark Knight 2012 was a great year for nerds like myself. The Avengers, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and The Dark Knight Rises all came out during this year. Each movie piqued the anticipation of fans everywhere. For me, the last of these three seemed the most intriguing. Christopher Nolan, fresh off the brilliant Inception was concluding his epic The Dark Knight Trilogy. The Dark Knight became one of the best sequels ever, so I expected The Dark Knight Rises to live up to Batman Begins, at least. Unfortunately, lightning did not strike twice because The Dark Knight Rises, while still a good movie, is the worst in the trilogy. This film takes place eight years after the awe inspiring events of The Dark Knight. The lies told at the end of the previous film have served their purpose. Gotham has become a cleaner, more crime free city than ever before. But not all is well. Bruce Wayne (Christiaan Bale reprising his role) has become a recluse. Jim Gordon (played again by Gary Oldman) feels overwhelmed by guilt. To top it all off, Gotham faces a new terrorist threat from an unknown entity known as Bane (Tom Hardy). To combat Bane, Batman must return from his self imposed exile to save Gotham once more. All the returning actors give worthy performances in their respective roles, which they have made their own. Christian Bale simply inhabits Batman at this point, and he adds more depth to Bruce Wayne in this third movie. Morgan Freeman provides a characteristically on point performance as ... Virtues are not given to us at birth (nature); we have to make our own effort to train ourselves to be virtuous. In the next few paragraphs, Aristotle emphasizes how pleasure and pain play an important role in how our moral virtues are developed. To explain he uses an example of a glutton and a temperate person and the pleasure/pain of food. Then he talks about how many people could be just but that doesn t necessarily mean that they are virtuous. He proceeds to talk about his three criteria to determine if a person is virtuous. First criteria is virtuous people know that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Rational Choice Theory Of Criminal Behavior Essay People chose all behavior and including all criminal behavior. Which in this case the choices that criminals make brings them pleasure and adrenaline. Criminal choices can be controlled by fear of punishment, but not all the time. The crime will be limited when the benefits are reduced and the costs increase. Rational choice theory is a perspective that holds criminality in the result of conscious choice. Not to mention, that it is predicted that individuals choose to commit crime when the benefits outweigh the costs of disobeying the law. In the rational choice theory, individuals are seen as motivated offenders by their needs, wants and goals that express their preferences. This theory has been applied to a wide of range in crime, such as robbery, drug use, vandalism, and white collar crime. Furthermore, rational choice theory had a revival in sociology in the early 1960s, under the heading of exchange theory, and by the end of the decade was having a renewed influence in criminology, first as control theory and later as routine activities theory. Rational choice theory addresses, criminal behavior in various ways. In addition, this theory also falls short in many places. I have decided to work on the rational theory because it is a common theory that I see on a day to day base. I feel that anyone who breaks the law should be held responsible and not be rewarded with such a low punishment. If our criminal justice system enforces stricter punishments than those who are ... • 8. Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, And Mesopotamia In ancient Egypt, Rome and Mesopotamia the connections that the people had with their rulers stemmed from their belief that their ruler had a close connection with their God s. Because of the vast role that religion played in their lives it was important to show their admiration and appreciation for these royal beings. From a psychological standpoint, through their style, significance, and idealization, Mesopotamia, Egypt and Rome s depictions of royalty within their artworks functioned as the best way to encompass the impression, and supremacy that a ruler held over their people. For many of the people of Mesopotamia the most important part of their society was their religion and their royalty. They believed that they held close relationships with their Gods and they believed that their rulers were the closest possible connection that they had to their Gods. An ancient Sumerian proverb states Man is the shadow of God, but the king is God s reflection (Alexander). The king was believed to be personally chosen by the gods and acting in their will however they were not considered to be god like. The king s responsibilities included participating in religious rituals, managing the state during peace and war time, and creating laws. The Mesopotamians believed that in order to protect themselves they needed to gain more resources and people and this was done by expanding and conquering surrounding areas. Another role of the king was to issue codes of law with the ideal that he ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Ike always cherished his days playing Baseball and football at Abilene High School. After high school, Ike joined his father and uncle at the Bell Spring Creamery and he was also a fireman while he worked at the creamery. Eisenhower loved his little brother Edgar. All the money he earned as a fireman and working at the creamery went to his brothers tuition at the University of Michigan. The two brothers made a deal. • 10. Spring Awakening Play Theme Spring Awakening is a rock musical set in late 19th century Germany. It follows the lives of young teenagers (from fourteen to sixteen) as they navigate through the turmoil of their teenage sexuality. The musical contains some explicitly mature content and themes, such as sex, conception, erotic dreams, expressed desire for physical intimacy, physical and sexual abuse, hitting, ambiguously consensual sex, suicide, inappropriate language such as cursing, teenage pregnancy, masturbation, and death caused by an incorrectly executed abortion. The musical is based off of the play Spring Awakening written by Frank Wedekind in the late 1800 s. At the time, it was written for the purpose of commenting on how German culture revolved around the purpose of oppressing young teenagers sexual desire and shaming those who were curious about sexuality. The controversial and, at the time, problematic themes were meant to act as a wake up call to those who forced ignorance of sexual instruction on their children. This is the reason for the significance of the setting, at the time Germany was focused on preventing children from becoming educated on sex. As the characters grew up, this setting was a catalyst for the tragic events that occurred in the wake of the children being poorly informed on sex, pregnancy, and the cause of their sexual desires. While the musical adapted from the original play does not contain the same social commentary, the harshness of the message is still evident. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Paladins are devoted healers, and they are extremely hard to kill, which are two major advantages of being a Paladin. There are two types of blessings that can be given to any player as long as they are in the same group as the Paladin. The Blessing of Kings and Blessing of Might. Some of the disadvantages are that the Paladin kills slowly. Compared to some of the other classes, the Paladin does minor damage. • 13. Classical Archaeology Research Paper Classical Archaeology Exam Essay Throughout history seemingly unrelated objects or ideas can be brought together and connected in the most extraordinary ways. Many philosophers believe that everything in the world is connected and intertwined in some way, shape, or form. These principles can be applied to many subjects including archaeology. The scene of Ajax on the Francois krater can be linked to Polyklietos s Doryphoros by applying them both to the fundamentals of evolution. Both pieces are a major turning point in art for Greece. They took the best parts of their predecessor s pieces and furthered them, like evolution. The Doryphoros completely changed the way that the Greeks composed the body position of their sculptures. The Greeks started out creating sculptures in the same bland form as the Egyptians, with the Korus. There are many of these sculptures, but Polyklietos took the foundations and basic themes of the Korus and revolutionized the body position. All he did was change the balance of the sculpture; he tilted the hips and shoulders and changed the leg position a little. This small difference made the sculpture more lifelike and more realistic. Cursive Negative Writing Cursive handwriting has been considered an educational staple for years but with all the advances in modern technology has the need to know how to write in cursive become irrelevent? With almost all classes going digital should cursive no longer be taught to the younger generations? Some people believe cursive handwriting is essential to the development of an active mind. Some people believe typing things out as opposed to actually handwriting messages is more beneficial. Where do you stand on this topic? Do you think public schools should teach their students how to write in cursive? Do you think cursive handwriting is becoming obsolete? As with many things taught to the younger generations, there always comes some sort of debate on whether or not the knowledge being distributed is actually beneficial to their developing minds in the long run. Will what the schools are teaching them actually help them in their lives as (hopefully) fully functioning adults? A survey given to handwriting teachers revealed that only 37% of the handwriting teachers wrote in cursive. Fifteen years later, his statement is truer than ever, as the price of going to a four year university skyrockets, and technology required to get the same degree online becomes more available. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, from 2000 to 2010, the average cost for undergraduate tuition, room, and board at public institutions increased over forty percent. A study published in US News reported, more than six million students took at least one online course during the fall 2010 semester, which is an increase of over ten percent from the fall 2009 semester (Lytle). Many studies have found insignificant differences between online and traditional course settings. For instance, in a literature review by Friday, et al., the results of many studies did not show any substantial differences in performance between online and traditional courses (69). However, Friday, et al., noted that at the undergraduate level, face to face methods of course delivery are more beneficial in terms of student learning compared to online, web based course delivery methods (77). • 20. The Biblical Worldview Of A Worldview A worldview is a compilation of one s belief that will help determine how one will react and communicate based on new ideas, issues, disagreements, and in general, life s challenges; it is what one relies on in order to answer those tough questions in relation to today s issues. A worldview will determine how you look at any situation, from abortion, religion, gay marriage or to more mundane issues, it is that innate belief that you have formulated in your life that will determine those outcomes and how others will possibly perceive you to be. Word Count: 93 words Part II The biblical worldview of our Origin started with God; He created our world, and all that exists within it, everything within six days (Gen.1.1). God created man in His own likeness on the fifth day, out of dust, Adam was made; Out of Adam s rib, woman was created (Gen.1.27, Gen.2.7). God is the great creator, He has always been and always will be. Unlike theories that try to explain creation in just being a whimsical roll of the dice, that somehow from a Big Bang explosion, life simply emerging cannot be; the complexity of all of creation could not be something that just happened by luck. A master designer can be the only explanation to explain how this beautiful, complex world came to be in all of its glory and richness, down to the most specific detail, as well as how man was created from nothing. • 21. Analysis Of The Book Of Cannibals History: Whose Story Is It? Interactions between people are often evaluated in terms of lands gained, lives lost, and valor earned, but there is an arguably more powerful spoil of war that is rarely discussed: the right to write the story. The victorious party gets to tell the tale, and indubitably the defeated are portrayed extremely negatively if at all. Consider the many extant ancient Spanish texts compared to the lack of decipherable Mayan texts: as part of their victory over the Mayans, the Spanish burned the Yucatan almanacs. Cultural genocide of this sort is not rare by any means; imperialism leaves a trail of extinct and dying cultures in its wake. The cannibalistic metaphor in Montaigne s Of Cannibals as well as the essay itself illustrate how history is shaped by dominant narratives, made even more evident in King s discussion of attitudes towards Native Americans in The Inconvenient Indian: A Curious Account of Native People in North America. Montaigne s description of natives consuming the defeated is analogous to European culture displacing native culture. Just as the prisoner of war sang that part of him is his captor s own fathers and grandfathers that he has previously consumed, the European domination of native culture became another chapter in European history. The flesh the prisoner consumed, however, did not retain its original shape. Instead, it was broken down and absorbed into his being. Similarly, the European subsummation of Native American ... • 25. Compassion Fatigue Research Paper In the field of medicine, there is large debate over something known as compassion fatigue. Some say it exists while others claim it doesn t. I believe the reason people debate the idea of compassion fatigue being a reality is due to a misunderstanding in how compassion fatigue manifests. Compassion fatigue has many names; vicarious trauma, secondary traumatic stress, and secondary victimization. Dr. Frank M. Ochberg, MD, defines it as, ...a low level, chronic clouding of caring and concern for others in your life whether you work in or outside the home. Over time, your ability to feel and care for others becomes eroded through overuse of your skills of compassion. This is a good way to explain the apathy brought on when compassion fatigue ... In a situation where you re able to say, Dr. Don used to react so much more to death five years ago. But he seems to be numb now, you may be witnessing compassion fatigue manifest in lack of emotion. It s not that Dr. Don no longer cares; It s that he no longer feels the need to, or has the will to, express emotions toward the situation. This can pose a lot of issues in the long run. Unwillingness to express emotion can turn to depression, anxiety, lethargy, and self loathing. But let s look at the other side and examine why there are those that call it a myth. • 26. Racial Identity In Maus Art Spiegelman, the author of Maus 1: My Father Bleeds History and Maus 2: A Survivor s Tale: And Here My Troubles Began, conveys many messages through his black and white illustrations in his graphic novels. Spiegelman uses a system of representation based on racial identity to portray his characters. The use of the mouse and cat can be seen throughout the novel to represent the characters, enabling Spiegelman to convey the complexity of each character. There is a constant reference to identity shown reoccurring in the novels. The use of masks can be seen to achieve a point of pretending to be someone else. Eyes can tell a lot about one s characteristic. Spiegelman utilizes the use of eyes through the novel to show feelings. His use of racial identity by the motif of the cats and mice, the eyes, and the masks communicates the horrors of the Holocaust in such way words cannot describe alone. The most visible symbol seen throughout the graphic novels was the use of animals being given human like characteristics. One of the most effective ways Spiegelman uses to tell the story of Maus was the representation of the Jews as mice, and the Nazi Germans as cats. Jews characterized by mice were meant to represent quiet creatures; they are small and harmless. On the other hand, the Nazi were characterized by cats. They are powerful, malevolent, and sly. This motif of cats and mice shows how powerful the cats were and how powerless the mice were. Cats are predators of the mice. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, not everyone gets enough credit for their heroic acts. Throughout unit 1 in springboard it discusses some of the heroic acts that certain characters did. For instance, in the story of the soldier that lost a leg, or the story of one of our presidents and how he became someone that people could look up to. In the story of The drummer boy of Shiloh the hero is a fourteen year old. A hero needs to have certain characteristics. For example, they need to be responsible and stay strong throughout their journey. Think about how hard it would be to live life without one of your leg, that would bring many conflicts in your life and only a hero could survive such a big change. That was the case with Tristan Eugen Segers, a soldier whom lost his leg in Afghanistan. In Soldier home after losing his leg AFGHANISTAN it states Segers wears shorts in the warm summer weather, not even pretending to hide his prosthetic leg. He has run a marathon (Gale Fiege 59). The Environmental Issue Of Water Conservation Water is essential for humanity s survival, and even though the world is largely covered by water, only a small percentage is potable for human utilization. Approximately, on average, 120,000 gallons of water is used annually for a single family household (Galbraith). This alarming number could be reduced dramatically for the efforts of water conservation and lowering water bill prices for families could subsequently save money that could be used for other expenses. Thus, conserving water would prove beneficial and advantageous to not just in Texas, but to everyone else as well. Although environmental policies have not been as popular with Congress and the state legislature, it is still an important issue to consider since there are only a limited amount of resources for public use, such as water. Both the federal and state governments have enacted policies towards the efforts of water conservation that mainly affect cities and corporations and considered how it affects other organisms in the environment. One current environmental issue between the U.S. federal and state governments is concerning about the efforts of water conservation and other natural resources by passing several laws that mainly affect both cities and companies that somewhat relate to preserving wildlife as well for the ecosystem. The reasons initiating these legal changes are to conserve clean water for human consumption and to preserve wildlife as well. Congress passed the Water Pollution Control Act ... • 30. Immigration Negative Essay Immigration is a touchy subject for many people in the United States, and it seems like depending on which side of the political spectrum one falls there will be some radically different answers given as to whether it benefits or harms the American economy. This dilemma has been one faced by new Americans almost as long as the United States has existed, with fierce anti immigrant feelings extending back to the days of the Know Nothings and beyond. This paper will seek to set the record right, and will show that immigration is actually a good thing for the American economy, providing evidence that is strong enough to convince readers from any side of the political aisle. Immigrants, traditionally, have filled a key niche in the American economy by taking on roles that other American citizens might not necessarily want to do, or that they will do but for a significantly higher pay. It is important to remember that, during the founding days of this country, and especially of this city, many of the jobs that were needed to actually get things done were manned by immigrants. Many of these jobs were given to Irish and Italians, men and women who had come fresh from Europe in search of a new life, and through their contributions we were able to build and expand in ways never before expected. Great feats like the Empire State Building, the Transcontinental Railway, and others, were all accomplished as a result of immigrant labor. These lower paying jobs are still crucial to ... There are many men and women who are infertile that still want to have children. Most decide to adopt other children who do not have families or their families do not want them. But when adoption is not an option, there is now a way where those men and women can have their own children together through fertility treatments. Fertility treatments could be a good thing:being able to freeze egg and sperm, they can help infertile couples, and avoiding transmitted diseases would be easier. Egg Freezing The more popular and developing method of treatment is egg freezing. During this procedure they take an embryo and freeze it for a month before they place it in a uterus to be later fertilized (Maher). This method was first used for cancer patients. Cancer treatments, like chemotherapy, can damage the ovaries and make it almost impossible for chemo patients to reproduce. According to Gunhan and Arditi (2007), there were three types of contingencies, namely designer s contingency, contractor s contingency, and owner s contingency. They claimed that the best method to predict contingency was to use previous experiences. They mentioned that a detailed study of four factors, namely site conditions, schedule constraints, project scope, and constructability issues could play an important role either in preventing the CO or reducing the chances of needing a big contingency money. Smith et al. (1999) stated that the wise decision on the amount of contingency used while bidding could have effects on whether wining of the contract. They interviewed 12 contractors on the contingency calculation method and found that among these contractors, nobody was aware of any kind of estimation method for the contingency amount. Whenever, these contractors used contingency, they simply followed the traditional approach of adding some percentages to the base cost as contingencies. Mac and Picken (2000) conducted a study on two types of projects, namely estimating using risk analysis (ERA) and non ERA projects. They made comparison between 45 ERA projects with 287 non ERA projects and found that ERA method helped to reduce the unnecessary risk allowances in projects. • 35. The Nature of Humans in Lord of the Flies by William Golding The nature of human: are humans born good or evil? These two opposing views on human nature are two topics that Rousseau and Golding have both touched upon. While Golding believes that humans are born inherently evil, Rousseau believes the opposite: that humans are inherently good. Golding wrote the novel Lord of the Flies as a response of the novel, The Coral Island by R.M. Ballantyne because he believed that it was far fetched. In this novel Ballantyne s main characters are able to enjoy their time on the deserted island. My opinion on this matter leans to Rousseau s side. I believe that people are born naturally good. Jean Jacques Rousseau was born in Geneva in 1712 and died in 1778 in France. While Golding lived through the two World Wars, Rousseau never lived through such conflict. A topic of Rousseau s that always came up is about how humans can keep their freedom despite their dependence on one another. He believed that there were two things that had something to do with this topic and that was a human s material and psychological need and that the latter was more important. Rousseau believed that humans get their sense of self due to opinion of others. Rousseau believes that humans are inherently born good and that and that it is society s corruption that causes humans to be evil. Sam Gribley s My Side Of The Mountain My Side of the Mountain begins with a diary entry by Sam Gribley, which he writes while he is holed up inside a tree in the Catskill Mountains during a blizzard. He claims that he is snug and safe. When the entry ends, a slightly older Sam explains that before that blizzard arrived he worked for months building his house in the tree, learning to make fires, collecting stores of food, and so on. When winter arrived he had plenty of supplies, but he was still scared. Luckily he stayed safe and warm through the storm. When it was over, he knew he had made the right choice when he ran away from his crowded New York apartment to live in the woods. At this point in the story, the focus shifts back to the beginning of Sam s experience. It is May when he leaves New York with a penknife, a ball of chord, an ax, and $40 as well as a flint and steel for making fires. He has told his father that he plans to find his great grandfather s farm in the Catskill Mountains and live there. His father says that every boy should try some such adventure at least once in his life. He wishes Sam good luck but clearly expects him to be home ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For the next few days, he catches fish for his meals as he surveys the territory, making himself a diagram of apple trees, hickory trees, and other resources he will use later. He finds a stand of huge hemlocks and decides to make a home inside the partially rotted trunk of the biggest tree. During these early days, Sam is constantly uncomfortable, especially from hunger. He does not know how to plan ahead for the next meal, so he continually works himself to a state of extreme hunger before he even begins the hard work of catching and gathering his food. He is thrilled with his own cleverness the first time it occurs to him to grab some crayfish before he is actually hungry for them. Slowly he learns that constant, elaborate planning is necessary if he wants to succeed on the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Ridicule And Terrorism In J. Michael Waller s, Ridicule: An Instrument in the War on Terrorism, the main idea presented is that ridicule should be used as a war strategy against terrorism. Ridicule can be used in several instances. These instances are as follows, ridicule raises morale at home, ridicule strips the enemy/adversary of his mystique and prestige, ridicule erodes the enemy s claim to justice, ridicule eliminates the enemy s image of invincibility, and directed properly at an enemy, ridicule can be a fate worse than death. Ridicule and humor play an important part in the way the government is run. Waller quotes John Cleese, If I can get you to laugh with me, you like me better, which makes you more open to my ideas. The more comfortable an individual or politician feels around the person trying to influence them, the more likely it will be that they will side with their opinion. The reason why ridicule is so effective is that it leverages the emotions and implies the complicated and takes on the powerful, in politics, business, law, entertainment, literature, culture, sports, and romance. The instances aforementioned are thoroughly explained by Waller by using lengthy factual and historical examples. Ridicule can be used as both an offensive and a defensive war strategy. Dictators, tyrants, and those who aspire to seize and keep power by intimidation and force can tolerate no public ridicule. In order to maintain their intimidating appearance, leaders suppress ridicule and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Simon And Piggy There is No Mercy in Butchery, for Hunger is Everlasting Following a traumatic plane crash on a small island in the Pacific, a group of young British schoolboys are left to fend for themselves. Food and water are never an issue, but desires for meat, order, and rescue leave the boys divided between savagery and civilization. The ensuing novel is William Golding s Lord of the Flies. Out of the older boys, leaders emerge and focus on the issues of the island, eventually creating a devastating divide. Two of the older boys, Piggy and Simon, are both benevolent, important characters, symbolic of the positive aspects and achievements of man; they must die to reinforce a social hierarchy of human instinct and demonstrate how savagery and contempt ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ultimately, they are killed to satisfy a social hierarchy. With Lord of the Flies, William Golding creates an allegory to the social cycle of mankind in a post world war world with fragile civil structure. Resembling a political system, the littluns are left unnamed to assume the role of common citizens. Piggy embodies the achievements and technology of man, Simon, instinctual goodness, Jack, savagery, and Ralph, law and order. On this island, where the civilization fails, first, the goodness is dispersed; second, the achievements of man are taken advantage of, fragile and quick to fail; third, a war is unleashed, and civilization collapses; finally, anarchy and savagery are held at bay. Piggy and Simon s deaths highlight the consequences of this cycle. Golding s understanding of the fragileness of the modern world is evident, as the novel takes place while a nuclear war is fought, presumably contested between two estranged human cultures, similar to the instincts that battled on the island. It is only through Simon s comment to Ralph that Golding provides a foreseeable end, and suggests his faith in the leaders of the real world. With their rescue, the group of marooned British schoolboys return to a changed world, without Piggy and Simon, only to reseed the elaborate social scheme of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. A Managing General Agent ( Mga ) 1a) A Managing General Agent (MGA) is a type of delegated authority whereby the MGA organisation not only holds the underwriting pen of the insurer but also undertakes all the other activities of an insurer such as marketing, selling and administration. The only responsibility the MGA does not provide is funding for claims. There are a number of advantages and potential disadvantages that should be noted when considering delegating authority to an MGA. The main advantages include: § The MGA carries out all marketing, selling and administration (other than claims), which means that the insurer receives a steady flow of business without using any internal resources. Therefore the insurer can gain a profitable stream of revenue without ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Regular audits must be conducted in order to satisfy the insurer that the risks being written on its behalf are within the MGA s parameters of authority, as well as financial checks and ensuring the quality of staff. § There is a potential for a conflict of interest between the MGA and the insurer, whereby the MGA may wish to accept risks in order to boost sales or protect client relationships that the insurer would usually want to reject. Therefore it is vital that the scope of authority delegated to the MGA is clearly expressed. § Poor performance of the MGA has an impact on the insurer s income and reputation, and amendments to authority or withdrawal from the arrangement takes time. § Clear terms of authority and documentation are vital, as ambiguous terms can lead to the MGA accepting risks that are in breach of their authority and the insurer incurring liabilities as a result of this. 1b) In order to reduce the effects of possible disadvantages of an MGA the insurer can implement a stringent auditing and monitoring environment. Monthly risk bordereaux should be submitted to the insurer for review, and audits should be carried out at least annually. At the time of audit, the risk carrier should ensure: § Risks being written on its behalf fall within the authority parameters of the MGA § Adherence to the terms and conditions of the ... • 48. The Human Soul And The Soul s Salvation In his letter to the priest, Sixtus, Augustine claims that ...when [humans] suppose that free choice is taken away if they agree that a human being cannot have a good will without the help of God, they do not understand that they do not strengthen human choice... he establishes one of the most debated concepts of the Reformation period: The human soul cannot save its self. This idea of Soteriology, expressed in his Letter 194 presents only one side of the argument. On the other side of the spectrum of soteriological ideology was Pelagius s argument that to be just in God s sight, a person must be pure in both body and heart. Through the use of Augustine s Letter 194 as well as Pelagius s Letter to Demetrias I will first summarize each author s argument on how much of a role human free will can contribute to the immortal soul s salvation. Then I will explain why both sides of the argument appealed to large groups, and why each view point remained debated all the way into the Reformation period. Before either argument can be dissected however, some issues with the sources must be addressed. Firstly, Pelagius s text Letter to Demetrias has been translated from its original language into English. Pelagius was very learned in both Latin and Greek, meaning that the original text was probably written in one of these languages. The translation into English means that there was an opportunity for error, and for details to get lost. It is also known that Pelagius was an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 49. Analysis Of The Movie Return Streak And Winning A... Manassas is an inner city high school in North Memphis Tennessee with a poorly funned football program that holds a 110 year losing streak. Each individual athlete faces internal and external challenges of growing up in a poor and dangerous neighborhood with little or no parental guidance at all. Coach Bill Courtney devotes the majority of his time to Manassas s football program and also steps in as a father figure to many of these boys and unites the team. In return, this causes the team to perform better on the field, thus, breaking Manassas s losing streak and winning a playoff game. In this documentary there was a mental skill that stood out the most, in particular, group dynamics/ cohesion. Throughout the team s football season coach Courtney helps the boys feel closer with their fellow teammates, thus, resulting in each individual to look out for one another. With that said, in the movie the team worked together to achieve a common goal which was to win a playoff game while also working on individual interpersonal relationships with other teammates. With that in mind, different elements of task and social cohesion are emphasized in this documentary. The theoretical development of group dynamics/ cohesion was exhibited through O.C. Brown. To illustrate, in the beginning of the film O.C. Brown was a short tempered kid who only looked out for himself, however, throughout this documentary O.C. Brown begins to improve on his cohesion with the team and also reveals ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
