Nepal s Effect On India
Background
Nepal s geography has made Nepal economically dependent on India as it is surrounded on three sides
by India and on one (to its north) with the Himalayan range and the region of Tibet. After the
devastating earth quake in Nepal, the country was hit by another humanitarian crisis this time due to a
blockade at a crucial crossing on the border with India, which halted oil and other essential supplies
landlocked Nepal obtains from its giant neighbor. The unveiling of a new constitution in late
September sparked tensions between the Madhesi ethnic group and the government. The Madhesi and
Tharu (ethnic group) people, who account for many of the southern residents of Nepal, had been
protesting their lack of inclusion in the new ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And blockade of essential supplies with complete support of Indian government. Nepalese security
had requested that it would protect truck drivers entering Nepal from the Indian border. But Indian
custom officials has blocked supplies saying it s an order from above as in the Indian government. So,
those to blame were Madhesi leaders, Indian government for supporting them and lastly Indian news
and media giving completely biased information.
Effects of the Blockade
Nepal Oil Corporation had instructed fuel stations to stop selling petrol and diesel to vehicles bearing
private registration numbers. The Nepali government was allowing people to drive only on alternate
days and had asked people to use charcoal and firewood for cooking. It was like going back to the
stone age where daily food had to be cooked in firewood. Only army trucks, and those carrying
medical and essential supplies are being exempted. Efforts were also ongoing to reopen trading routes
with China that had remained blocked because of huge landslides since the devastating earthquake in
April 2015. On 29 September 2015, Kathmandu Airport the only International Airport in the country
issued an advisory to international airlines to carry extra fuel after suspending refueling facility due to
acute fuel shortage. As a result, many international flights had to been cancelled. In the midst of the
major festival season,

Equal Employment Opportunity Complaint Essay
Equal Employment Opportunity Complaint
In order for John to file a discrimination complaint against his employer, he is required to file a charge
with the Equal Employment Opportunity Complaint counselor or representative of the company. Once
the charge has been filed, an investigation is made, or the charge maybe selected to an EEOC program
and maybe dismissed. In this case, John is given a certain number of days to file a lawsuit on his
behalf. This process would have to go through several lengthy stages such as the EEOC administrative
process. If gone to trial it must go through filing of a summons, response and answer, discovery
process, enlisting of experts, pre trial, actual trial and a possible appeal. In the EEOC s Charge ...

The defendant at this time must plead any affirmative defenses and show that they are not liable
because the affirmative defense rules out liability. The next step is the Discovery Process, which is the
formal fact finding stage of litigation. There are several different types of discovery processes:
interrogatories, depositions, request to produce documents, physical and mental examinations and
request for admissions. Both sides would then request additional information from the other party or
third parties to develop their case. In most cases if privileged information is gathered, the opposing
party does not have to produce this information. In addition to information gathered, the parties may
be able to determine their opponent s theories and strengths of their courtroom presentation. Based on
their discovery plan and requests. Once the discovery process is completed, the Enlisting of Experts
process is required. The plaintiff early in the pre trial process to determine whether he has a viable
claim must obtain this expert. The defendant will also obtain an expert to support the defendant s
theory of the case and refute the plaintiff s expert. After sufficient discovery has been made and
experts are in place, either party may move for summary judgment. If the material at hand shows that
there is no genuine issue as to a material fact, the court may rule and motion that there is no need for a
formal trial. When either party

Research Method And Design Of Tim Hortons Essay
Research Method and Design Tim Hortons is a Canadian multinational fast food restaurant chain and
it is famous for coffee and doughnuts. As of June 30, 2016, Tim Hortons had more than 4,464 system
wide restaurants located in Canada, the United States and the Middle East. I chose this company
because I love their grilled Panini and fruit smoothies are cheap in terms of price than other brands
like Starbucks or Second Cup. In addition, I want to know how Tim Hortons decided to adopt foreign
worker program to provide an opportunity for foreign workers to work for the company and how
foreign workers play the role in the company. I also want to know how foreign worker program can
benefit both the company and the worker and how this can become an opportunity for Tim Hortons to
do business in different countries. One day, I was shopping at southgate mall and Tim Hortons were
about to open their new location inside the mall. I decided to call Tim Hortons store at southgate mall
and I happened to talk to the store supervisor. I explained what my research paper was about and
asked the permission if I could ask some questions to the supervisor and he was willing to answer my
questions. As a supervisor, he usually manage people, assign them to the tasks they need to
accomplish, do cash out and accomplish food safety precautions especially with Tim Hortons soup and
sandwich. He also do the restocking and delivery when it is needed. Sometimes, as a supervisor, he

Radley Boo
Harper Lee has successfully composed an enthralling novel, To Kill a Mockingbird , by representing
imaginary enchanting characters of Atticus, Scout, Jem, Dill, Alexandra and Radley Boo, author Lee
produce great interest among the readers; thus, the author shows Radley Boo as a fascinating
character, which attracts the children most as he assumed to be an evil but actually he proved himself
as a nice person. The author exposes the human nature, which is based on realities. For children it is
their nature, that if adults want to hide or the matter which they try to keep away from them, the

The Florida Paralegal Program Act
The Florida Paralegal Program was created in 2007, in order to regulate the paralegal profession in the
state of the Florida. This program offers them a voluntary registration in this distingue organization,
under the compromise to meet certain requirements such as education, certification, or work
experience criteria, and also abide by a Code of Ethics and Responsibilities, all these based on the
Chapter 20 of the Rules regulating the Florida Bar. Subsequently, these rules establish that a Florida
Registered Paralegal is a paralegal who meets the requirements set out in Chapter 20 of the Rules
regulating the Florida Bar. These rules designate that a paralegal is a person with education, training or
work experience, who works under the direction of a member of The Florida Bar and who performs
specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a member of The Florida Bar is responsible.
However, there are certain differences, as well as pros and cons, between paralegals that are not
registered under this rule and those who are, specifically on the following main points: work
experience, education, and requirements to qualify.
The first point in discussion is relative to work experience. Due to the fact that nowadays,
grandfathering does not count anymore as available in order to register as a FRP, a person may no
longer use experience alone as a basis for eligibility for registration: (c) Grandfathering. A person who
does not meet the requirements of (a) or (b) may

Psychedelic Musicians in Rock and Roll Essay
Psychedelic Musicians in Rock and Roll
In 1967 the Beatles were in Abbey Road Studios putting the finishing touches on their album Sgt.
Pepper s Lonely Hearts Club Band. At one point Paul McCartney wandered down the corridor and
heard what was then a new young band called Pink Floyd working on their hypnotic debut, The Piper
at the Gates of Dawn. He listened for a moment, then came rushing back. Hey guys, he reputedly said,
There s a new band in there and they re gonna steal our thunder. With their mix of blues, music hall
influences, Lewis Carroll references, and dissonant experimentation, Pink Floyd was one of the key
bands of the 1960s psychedelic revolution, a pop culture movement that emerged with American and
British rock, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The zeitgeist of the time was the final collapse of a certain kind of thinking. The seeds were sown for
feminism, for the whole notion of cyberspace, ecology, and the whole philosophy of Gaia. Suzy
Hopkins, formerly Suzy Creamcheese, a dancer and inspirational figure on the underground scene in
Los Angeles and London, remembers the visceral way psychedelic culture affected the senses. There s
a difference between a drug and a psychedelic. Drugs make you drugged and psychedelics enhance
your ability to see the truth or reality, she says. For her, LSD and music created a kind of alchemy.
When I start to dance, at a certain point, the dance takes over and the music is dancing me. Dancing is
this electric enhancement of your spine by sound. Many psychedelic bands explored this sense of
abandonment in their music, moving away from standard rock rhythms and instrumentation. The
Grateful Dead of San Francisco, for instance, created an improvisatory mix of country rock, blues, and
acid R B on albums like The Grateful Dead (1967) and Anthem of the Sun (1968), while another
Frisco band, Jefferson Airplane (fronted by the striking vocalist Grace Slick), sang of the childlike
hallucinatory delights of an acid trip in the 1967 Top Ten hit White Rabbit. In Los Angeles the
multiracial band Love played whimsical,

The Pros And Cons Of Thatcherism

British Conservative politician and Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher. An exponent or supporter of
Thatcherism is called a Thatcherite. Margaret Thatcher was born as Margaret Hilda Roberts on
October, 13 1925 in Grantham, England. Her family owned a grocery store and they lived in a flat
above the store. She was introduced to politics from an early age by her father who was a member of
the town s council. Margaret was a good scholar and graduated from Oxford University with a degree

The recessions brought about severe unemployment which has left lasting negative impacts on Britain.
Many industries went bankrupt and workers lost their jobs. Industrial production fell sharply. The
working class suffered the most during the recession. There were nearly 3.3 million people
unemployed in 1984 as compared to 1.5 million when Thatcher first came to power in 1979. This
divided the society into two distinct groups the rich and the poor. No other developed state, with the
exception of New Zealand suffered such a brutal widening of inequality. The Gini coefficient is a
measure of inequality in a society. A score of one would be a completely unequal society; zero would
be completely equal. Britain s Gini core escalated from 0.253 to 0.339 during the time of Thatcherism.
The effects were still felt years later when Thatcher resigned in 1990 and it was found that 28% of
children were still living below the poverty line. Pensioners were the worst hit with the number living
below the poverty line increasing drastically from 13% to 40%. It was also characteristic of a
developed nation to have a high life expectancy going down after the recessions. Unemployment is
very stressful and damaged, not only the morale of the people, but also affected their health. Medical
care was unaffordable resulting in early deaths. After Thatcher resigned, statistics revealed that life
expectancy increased again. People were happier, less stressed and, therefore, healthier. This merely
emphasises the impact that Thatcherism had on the British people. Crime increased during the
Thatcher regime as a direct consequence of unemployment and poverty. With the recession also came
the dissolving of many British families. Divorce rates increased due to financial strain. Thatcher had
no pity for the poor. She went on to say there is no such thing as society . She believed that each
person should learn to survive on their

Motivation in The Shawshank Redemption
What is motivation? As manager s, motivation is one of the most vital and crucial assets to possess in
managing a business. This drive is a critical tool to use in the work place and determine the success or
failure of an organization. Motivation is a driving force that initiates and directs behavior. In other
words, motivation is an internal energy that drives an individual to do something in order to achieve a
certain goal. Therefore, creating a motivating environment in the workplace will lead to happy
employees. Creating a work environment like this, managers can expect low staff turnovers, improved
productivity, happy customers, and better financial performance. Therefore, the input of motivation
use towards employees determines the output efficiency of the company. However, everyone involved
in an organization is motivated differently. Everybody has their own individual needs in regards to
motivation. Depending on how motivated a person is, determines the effort that individual puts into
the work and therefore, how productive they are.
The biggest problem to a manager is managing employees. This is because employers often do not
know how to handle their employees. An effective manager knows that motivation is a difficult skill to
acquire. So over the years, many theorist have studied motivation in order to

The Colonial Education System
When a person thinks of an education system, they most likely think of the education system that was
in place when they went to school. That system however had many different influences to become
what it was. Some of those influences came from the different regions in the American colonial time.
In American colonial time, the Europeans who were settling along the coast all shared a general
culture and heritage. They however had differences when it came to their economic, political and
religious beliefs. Those main factors, as well as others, such as language and geography, motivated
them to split into different colonies. Those colonies can be grouped into three regions which are the
New England, the southern and the Middle Atlantic colonies. Since each region had their differences,
with the main difference being the type of religion practiced, each region had a different style for
education. The New England colonies included Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and
Rhode Island. They followed the views of the Puritanism and Calvinism. The Puritan belief system
did not have a lot of patience with children, and they expected them to act as if they were young
adults. One view on children was that They were small savages who needed constant upbraiding and
discipline to curb their evil inclinations and desires (as cited in Gutek, 2013). The education system of
the New England colonies greatly reflected that view, where the teachers used great discipline to keep

Hilton Head Island
The beach in Hilton Head Island in South Carolina is certainly my favorite place to go. It is the
greatest place to be. Maybe it is the sense of relief with you see the alluring island or maybe it is when
you roll down your window smelling the salty ocean water with the warm breeze hitting your face,
making your hair fly all over the place. Relaxing, sunbathing, and swimming are all reasons why
Hilton Head Island is my favorite place.
As I lay in the red, thin material, swaying hammock next to the roaring ocean water, I begin to relax. I
listen to huge waves hit against the rocky wall that connects the grassy ground to the light blue ocean
water. The longer I lay there the wind begins to pick up causing the hammock to sway more and more
almost touching the tall, wide trees that are holding it up. The sounds of the rushing waves and the
warm misty breeze causes my eyes to get very heavy almost as if I have a weight on my eyelids
weighing them down. I usually end up falling asleep until my family wakes me up by forcefully
shaking me. After I get up we drive down to the pier, so they can play in the sand while I sunbathe in
the fire hot sun.
Sunbathing is another reason Hilton Head Island is my favorite place to be. When I sunbathe I always
lay around 20 feet away from the water so it never reaches me. ... Show more content on

the harder it is to stand up because the powerful waves sweep me off the sandy ocean bottom. The
challenges of the waves makes swimming so much better. After awhile I get tired and decide to get out

Wicca Vs Witchcraft
Wicca: More Than Witchcraft Wicca is an eclectic religious belief system centering around gods,
goddesses, and nature worship(2). Like Christianity; there are many different spiritual paths within the
Wiccan religion. Unlike Christianity; there is a belief in more than one god. The details of these deities
vary among individuals. This religion is attractive for many people who do not desire or appreciate
absolute truths(2). There is no bible, no head religious leader, and no belief in rewards or punishments
after death, only reincarnation. No matter the path one follows in Wicca, their beliefs and practices
will be centered around the balance between the god and goddess, holding nature as sacred, and
participating in witchcraft. Unfortunately, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is understandably very difficult to get past the witchcraft and view Wicca as a normal religion, when
witchcraft has always been said to be a satanic force. Wiccans do not believe in the existence of a
devil (they are not Satan worshippers)(2). Although the horned god has often been mistaken for the
devil by Christians, the two entities have no connection. As stated before, there is no ultimate good or
evil, sin is not a recognized concept either. Many will argue against this by bringing up the pentacle,
which is often mistaken for the pentagram. The five points on both stars represent the four elements,
plus the spirit. The difference between the two is that the fifth point is pointed up on the pentacle, and
down on the pentagram. The pentacle places the spirit at the top, sending a positive message. As far as
satanic practices go, no animal sacrifices will be taking place in Wicca. The life of another is too
sacred to allow this to happen. Bowls of flowers, crystals, and food are given as offerings

Biological And Trait Perspectives On The Human Personality
Biological and Trait Perspectives and Explanations of Neuroticism Two perspectives on the human
personality will be explained in the following two sections. The first perspective is the biological
perspective of personality. This perspective focuses largely on the internal genetic makeup of an
individual and the effects this has on his or her personality. The biological perspective is strongly
based on other scientific fields in laboratory or clinical conditions such as biology and biochemistry.
The biological perspective involves intricate and often time consuming scientific experiments to test
for personality traits and correlations. Evolution is sometimes also mentioned within the biological
perspective in sociobiology. The structure and function of the brain (neurobiology) is also central to
the biological theory of personality. The second perspective to be mentioned is the trait perspective of
personality. According to Costa and McCrae, examination of the trait theory of personality is required
for someone to make sense of the human personality (1998). Two ideas are central to the trait
perspective of personality: A person s behaviors, contemplations, and emotions are relatively stable in
varying situations and with time, and each individual personality is different from all other
personalities (Carver Sheier, 2012). The trait perspective asserts that personalities are made up of
various traits that vary in degrees of strength. These traits are exemplified on a

games are bad for you? That s what they said about rock n roll. There have been common
misconceptions about video games being a bad influence on children due to their violent content they
can have and leading children to be more violent. Miyamoto disagree with this misconception using
rock n roll as an example. He stated just like how rock n roll was considered bad in the past

in a detrimental way. There have been many case studies disapproving this myth about how video

However, these misconceptions are debunked by news sources such as PBS. Henry Jenkins, an MIT
Professor, wrote a list of reasons on video games myths on the PBS website. He believes the link
between youth violence and video games are merely a coincidence, because in the modern age, more
and more of today s youth are connected to social media and technology, and it really depends on the
person s mental stability. There has been research on how the more aggressive people enjoy playing
more aggressive games like the aforementioned game, Doom, and that there are no conclusions that
link video games to change normal people to killers. Incidentally, these misconceptions of youth
violences linked to video games are still commonly believed today by a small group of people around
the word despite the growing popularity of video games in modern day culture. All things considered,
video games can be used as an educational tool in providing a lesson in educational facilities.I will go

Here George is saying how that he and Lennie are different from the rest of the no hopers in the world
around them and that they have a chance to make things better for themselves because they with
always have each other. In some cases in the book there is a pessimistic side to Lennie and George s
friendship. The line said by George quot; Hide in the brush till I come for you. quot; (page 34).
George repeats this statement about hiding in the brush until he comes many times, to emphasise the
point to Lennie. This is suggesting that George does not trust Lennie and that he believes he will do
something wrong in the near future. Therefore giving the impression that George believes that the
society they are living in is desperate and that Lennie will make the same mistakes over and over
again. Another example of how George and Lennie s friendship sometimes reflects a desperate society
is how George says quot; You crazy son of a bitch. quot; (page 29). This is when George is reflecting
on how he could have a much better life without Lennie with him all the time. Also in this section,
George shows some compassion for Lennie. After he has finished shouting at Lennie we get the line,
quot;He looked ashamedly at Lennie s anguished face through the flames quot; and also the line,
quot;Poor Bastard quot;. This is showing us how George now feels sorry for Lennie and maybe he

Designing And Implementing A Technology Project Essay
Designing and implementing a technology project that spans the three different areas of the team will
take a considerable amount of time, energy, planning and resources. The system must incorporate a
balance between all areas as well as a mechanism that supports the growing demand for output of
quality product in a sufficient and efficient manner. Since all three areas (victim correspondence,
property acquisitions, and debt management) function under various rules and procedures according to
internal governance as well as Federal statutes and policies, the system must be cross functional and
multi functional as well as legally compliant. In as much, a lot of consideration is necessary when
deciding which product, software, and system to choose. For example, the current system used by the
debt management section of the Team uses an Oracle Business product that relies on dashboards to
compile, sort, and analyze data. However, the victim correspondence system uses a web based system
that relates case summary and detailed information as well as downloads and links to system and case
related inquiries and information. Legalities are also to be taken into consideration. Most available
products are legally owned by other corporations and are likely leased on long term bases. Because
these intellectual products are leased, the corporation still owns the rights to the products and full
access or manipulation or alterations to the products is a topic for discussion prior to

Tribal Relations Between The United States Essay
Introduction
Tribal relations to the United States are similar to that of a ward and his guardian. This sentiment was
proclaimed in 1831 in Cherokee Nation V. Georgia. The United States has been attempting to integrate
Native populations into the American systems since the first settlements arrived from across the sea.
Original tribal status was that of dependent domestic nations 1. Recent history has changed the status
of Native America to one of self determination and sovereignty. This status was not determined by the
US Constitution as Native Tribes were sovereign people before Colonialization. The Unites States
solidified the direct relationship between the Native Nations and the Federal Government with the
Indian Commerce Clause of 1879. The Commerce Clause allowed Congress alone the power to
regulate commerce between the United States and the Indian tribes.2 The Marshall Trilogy, Chief
Justice Marshall s Supreme Court cases designated the limits of tribal sovereignty for the Native

The Influence that Issey Miyake´s Japanese Heritage Hand...
Discuss the influence that Issey Miyake s Japanese heritage had on his designs.
1971 Miyake s intentions where To discover the traditional beauty of a Japan which is disappearing; to

demonstrate the secret beauty of Japanese women. I am striving to create clothes which give
paramount importance to the movement of the body. Rather than fashion that one puts on, I want to

224). Jouve (1997) suggests that Miyake s approach differs to Western design arguing that he sees the
body as a reed, a neutral flexible thing, in the tradition of the kimono. Yet Miyake suggests that the
oversized and sculptural shapes have more to do with accessibility and the experience of the wearer: I
want women to be able to wear my clothing in the kitchen, when they re pregnant...My clothes are for
the young, the old, the short, the tall. They re ageless you see? (Frankel, 2001, p.48)
Miyake basic philosophy can be traced to the traditions of the kimono and, Samurais, paper arts, the
tea ceremony and Buddhist concepts. The kimonos simple construction makes it accessible to very
social strata of Japan. Despite being boxy, it drapes the body loosely with plenty of space between the
body and cloth, allowing freedom of movement with simplicity of cut. While traditional Japanese
clothes have been made of natural fibres such as cotton, silk and paper, Miyake places emphasis on
the ancient interest and import of industrially produced clothes with synthetic materials. He sees
technology as a way to revive rather than replace tradition and craftsmanship. He comments that the
joint power of technology and manual work enables us to revive the warmth of the human hand, in
other words, to come close to the value inherent in artisanal work (Sato, 1998, p. 55). By doing this he

Civil War Weapons Technology
Research Paper on Civil War Weapons and Technology The American Civil War, lasting from 1861 to
1865, was one of the bloodiest wars that the world has ever seen. The number of casualties resulting
from the Civil War was a staggering six hundred and twenty thousand American soldiers. Although
there are many explanations as to why the Civil War was so murderous, such as disease or lack of
medical advancements, the main reason why it was so deadly was because of the newly introduced
technology and weaponry. Some of the new technologies that came about during the Civil War were
rifles, railroads, ironclad ships, and submarines. Each of the four devices had a unique history and
were used significantly in specific battles, which in turn, affected ... Show more content on

When the Civil War broke out in 1861, the majority of the U.S. Navy supported the Union. This left
the Confederates with little naval strength. At this time, all naval ships were made out of wood, so in
order to give themselves more of an advantage over the Union, the Confederates began to assemble
ironclads or purchase ironclads from other countries. In response, the Union began to manufacture
ironclad warships as well. Once both sides developed their ironclad warships, they were used
significantly and were extremely successful in battle. The first battle that ironclads were used in was
the Battle of Hampton Roads, which lasted for two days. Mark Weaver writes that after Virginia ceded
from the Union in 1861, the Union navy placed a blockade on Hampton Roads. In response, the
Confederate Navy sent the CSS Virginia, an ironclad warship, to destroy the blockade. When the
Union Navy heard this, they sent out their ironclad warship, the USS Monitor. However, the CSS
Virginia arrived before the USS Monitor and therefore, many Union wooden battleships defending the
blockade were obliterated. When the USS Monitor arrived the next day, the battle of two ironclads
occurred for the first time in history. Both ironclads fought and battled for hours, but in the end, the
CSS Virginia retreated and the USS Monitor was successful in defending the

Hybrid Cars And Its Effects On The Environment Essay
In this day and age people argue more often about which kind of car is better overall; is it the internal
combustion engine, ICE, or hybrid car? Consumers are led to believe through advertisements and
online articles that hybrids are a better buy because of their reduced impact on the environment, and
ease of use. These reasons are in fact false because hybrid cars are no better for the environment
because of their production emissions and other variables.
There is a growing scientific consensus that increasing levels of greenhouse gas emissions are
changing the earth s climate. Also oil prices continue to skyrocket while tougher regulations and
policies on permitted exhaust gases are being instituted in major cities of the world. These and some
other related issues are compelling vehicle manufacturers to come up with fuel efficient vehicles.
These types of vehicles are known as hybrid electric vehicles (Omoigui).
Since their invention, most cars use an internal combustion engine, which is what all engines that use
a fuel and pistons. These ICE cars run off of only gas and other forms of fossil fuels. On the other side
of the spectrum, there have more recently been completely electric cars that are quiet and have a large
amount of batteries. In the middle of these two is the hybrid car; there are six different kinds of hybrid
configurations between the ICE and the batteries all with pros and cons. Some reduce emissions of the
ICE and others increase the torque on the axle

Psychodynamic Approach Case Studies
There are useful observations based on understanding of Adaptive Leadership, Psychodynamic
Approach, and Team Leadership as they apply to the leadership of Friendship Baptist Church. The
theoretical study of the application of these theories offer some informative data sets.
Applying Adaptive Leadership to the Case Study
Adaptive learning involves the awareness of the organization dynamic and the member needs as well.
The leadership dynamic involves the assessment of needs and the best ways to meet those needs
within organization. Adaptive Leadership provides the understanding, skills, and support that we need
to do two things well: distinguish what s essential from what s expendable and innovate in ways that
dovetail with those essentials. In the case of Friendship Baptist Church, the leadership of the
organization has become stagnant and ineffective. There has never been an in depth assessment of the
needs of the church and the ways leadership might meet them. The church has failed to connect to the
changing demographic of the community. A predominately African American ... Show more content

The psychodynamic approach places emphasis on leaders obtaining insight into their personality
characteristics and understanding the response of subordinates, based on their personalities. Leaders
should also encourage work group members to gain insight into their own personalities so that they

approach to leadership include e.g. the family of origin, individuation, dependence and independence,
regression and the shadow self. These concepts come from psychoanalysis and psychiatry and can
sometimes be abstruse and not easily understood. That is the reason that there has been attempts to

Social Media And Satire
Why exactly has technology had a bad impact on the world when it was originally created to make
everything easier? It s simple: Because of social media and websites creating safe havens for hatred.
Social media is one of the biggest culprits to this, especially when it can be a catalyst to conflict in the
real world. A person I don t know tried to follow me on Instagram. says Saru Daway, a freshman. I
didn t accept his follow request, and he started to get aggressive. He asked me out, and I refused. I told
him to stop texting me, but he continued to insult me. The definition of cyberbullying is the use of

A Study On Admiralty Law And Maritime Law
UNIT 1: INTRODUCTION 1.1 ABOUT SUBJECT: Admiralty Law or Maritime Law is a distinct
body of domestic laws that supervene upon the maritime activities (like marine commerce, sailors
related aspects, marine navigation, marine shipping, marine salvaging and transportation of passengers
and goods by sea). It has also been governing questions and offenses related to maritime activities and
other sub heads. Broadly, it is a more of a private international law related subject that governs the
relationship between private entities that operate vessels on the oceans. Keeping in view the
distinction with respect to the subject matters of Public and Private international law, it is mandatory
to specify the distinction between The Law of the Seas and The admiralty law and the chapters

The Law of Prize as the governing Customary Law. Then came the the cannon shot rule that was
developed by the Dutch Jurist (Cornelius van Bynkershoek), which talked about the limited National
Rights granted to a specified belt of water extending from a nation s coastlines that was usually 3
nautical miles (i.e., 5.6 km or Three mile), it was so that all waters beyond national boundaries were

There is also a lot of activity in this painting as well because there is Christ to the left washing the feet

The Bowl Championship Series should be changed to a playoff system. The BCS does a great job of
utilizing all the statistics and polls to establish the top twenty five teams in the nation. On the other
hand the top two teams are the ones who attend the national championship and that is where the BCS
system is unfair. For Example, Alex Giles wrote in his Article The Proposed Marriage of the BCS and
a Playoff Format , In 2000, the BCS ranked Oklahoma Jerzy 6
#1 and Florida State #2 at seasons end, despite the fact that Miami was ranked #2 in the both the AP
and the coaches poll and had beaten the Seminoles (Florida State) during the regular season. Ranking
problems like that one that happened in 2000 are why the BCS system should modify to a playoff
system. The BCS is a somewhat confusing and often controversial system (Vilona). The top twenty
five teams in Division I football battle each and every week for a better spot in the rankings. Most of
the time it comes down to the last week of season play to determine which two teams will progress
into the national championship game. The top teams should be given an opportunity to earn their way

Peet says Mechanization raises the surplus exploitable by the owners of the means of production by
increasing the productivity of labor, and thus increases the capital available for reinvestment in more
machinery, facilities, and raw materials (566). This means that as economic development takes place,
the relative demand for labor falls because mechanization provides and faster and more efficient
means of production. Production costs become more and more the costs of depreciating machinery
and less and less the costs of hiring labor as machines are increasingly used to increase capital. As
mechanization proceeds, unemployment increases and a labor reserve army is created. Under
capitalism, economic development does not proceed smoothly. There are sudden bursts of expansion
and even old declining industries bloom during economic booms. Peet says In such a situation the
economy needs a quick transfusion of labor; a labor reserve is necessary, to be pulled into the labor
force when needed, and discharged just as rapidly when demand slackens or mechanization proceeds
(567). In other words, the labor reserve prevents surplus value from being diverted from capital
accumulation to labor; thus, serving its role under capitalism. The Marxist argument, therefore, is that
inequality is not a temporary aberation nor poverty a surprising paradox in advanced capitalist
societies: instead inequality and poverty are vital to the normal operation of

David F. Noble draws valuable parallels between our era of burgeoning technology and the
technological advances of the industrial revolution.
Proponents of technology during both eras, says Noble, argued that technological advancement was an

Noble s counter argument looks at the human costs of unchecked technological growth, along the way

He argues that, while many processes were developed to improve metalworking after the war, the ones
that ultimately prevailed were not the ones which were most efficient. He demonstrates how several
alternate techniques actually had better results more quickly that the NC (Numeric Control) machining
which eventually came to dominate the industries, and in fact the NC machines were often slower for
a significant period of years.
So why was there so much investment in the less efficient machines? Simple: the owners paid the R D
costs, and the owners were more concerned about control that about pure efficiency or quality. NC
machines held the promise of being able(eventually) to manufacture high quality goods WITHOUT
SKILLED LABOR (precisely like the looms that the Luddites objected to). If you depend upon skilled
workers, those workers have some control, most obviously because they can t be easily replaced. If the
workers are minimally skilled, they can be more easily replaced, hence the owners have more control.
Is there anything in common between the age of automation now upon us and the first industrial
revolution long ago (circa 1790 1840)? Yes. Both surged ahead with technical progress and
production, and eliminated jobs without jobs for the workers. Both claimed that technological progress
was inevitable and would automatically put things right.

George s, The And The Axis During World War II
General S. Patton once said, Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will
surprise you with their ingenuity. Some may argue that his life was cut short while others may say it
was too long. Being a man who fought in World War I and World War II, George S. Patton, Jr.
certainly contained a wealth of experience in warfare. Looking at the written history, there were those
who seemed to undervalue Patton, as well as those who may have held him much too high.
Researchers have many different opinions on Patton s leadership, but the research here will encompass
both the positive and the negative aspects of his leadership and surrounding issues while addressing
the following questions:
1. How was Patton as a leader?
2. Patton versus Politics Did this hold back his true potential?
3. How was Patton viewed by the Allies and the Axis during World War II?
The research put forth will focus on these three questions.
George Smith Patton, Jr. was born November 11, 1885, well over one hundred years ago. He is
famously known for somewhat outrageous personality and his conduct as a general during World War
II. The family he was born into was wealthy and one with a very extensive military background, with
family members having participated in the Revolutionary War, Mexican War, as well as the Civil War.
This may explain a little about Patton s almost obsessive study of military history ranging from the
Romans to the Napoleonic Wars (CMG Worldwide, Inc., n.d.).

Kaluza Klein Theory and Higher Dimensions
Kaluza Klein Theory and Higher Dimensions I. Introduction Human civilization has always been
characterized by our ceaseless curiosity and awe for what we do not comprehend. Our wonder for
what lies beyond the scope of our daily lives has been the driving force for innovation and
advancement. The intensity of our fascination for what lie beyond is consummately personified in the
late astrologer and philosopher Giordano Bruno(1548 1600). Captivated by gazing into the night sky,
Bruno dreamed of a homogenous universe(reference to phy 312) with a multitude suns with earth like
planets rotating about them just like our own solar system. Publicly hailed a heretic, Bruno was
rejected from scientific and religious communities alike. Even after being excommunicated by three
different churches and denounced at Oxford University, Bruno held on tight to his beliefs. His ideas
would eventually lead him to the stake where he was burned to death on charges of heresy and
opposing the catholic faith. Bruno s death served as indispensable sacrifice for modern day cosmology
and our scientific community. It ultimately marked the beginning of humanity s questioning of
whether our world is actually what tradition tells us. Whether if it was Einstein questioning Newton s
long held laws of motions or Bohr questioning Einstein s beliefs on quantum mechanics, history has
repeatedly shown that curiosity about what we do not know is integral towards the advancement of
science. In Bruno s

A Brief Note On Work And Life Balance
Work and Life balance has become a consequential topic about a few decades ago up until today.
Work life balance was originally derived in the 1970 s to refer to the balance that exists in one s
professional life and personal one (Newman Matthews, 1999). In the past decade or so, there has
sparked a curiosity in the work life balance realm. More and more studies and research came about on
the topic and attracted the attention of scholars, the government, press, etc. This increase in curiosity
could be driven by the worry that a lack of adequate work life balance could spillover into health and
even lower productivity for organizations. Today, we see that most people are working harder and
longer than they ever were which makes it nearly unimaginable to attain that crucial work life balance.
Having a sustainable work life balance means that there occurs adequate work functioning as well as
the home with there being little to no role conflict (Sturges Guest, 2004). Sturges and Guest (2004)
also discuss that there are graduates that are pulled into situations where they have to work lengthy
hours which inevitably leads to a poor balance in the work and life aspect. At the core foundation of
this, work life balance characteristics are contingent upon the various communication methods that
occur in one s organization. Having both formal and informal forms of communication, are crucial for
both mentally and physically in order to be happy in the workplace. This paper focuses

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Incremental Budgeting
1. INCREMENTAL BUDGETING
The procedure of budget formulation is called incremental budgeting .
With incremental budgeting, the budget used for the current fiscal year becomes the base for
incremental distribution for the next fiscal year. In other words in this system the expenditures are
made on basis of resources. If resources fall short the expenditures are cut down. Thus, this form of
budgeting agrees to the statement of cutting coat according to cloth. The assumption is that the entire

expenditures under the most vital activities, thereby ensuring that their budgets will not be reduced.
c) Intangible justifications It can be difficult to determine or justify expenditure levels for areas of a

marketing expense, and how much should be invested in research and development activities?
d) Managerial time The operational review mandated by zero base budgeting requires a significant

at least a pretty friendly guy, Stradlater. It was partly a phony kind of friendly. (ch.3 pg.25) Holden

Stradlater and is nice to Ackley because he feels obliged to, in the end he always has bad things to say
about the phony people there. Holden struggles to find a place in society, and struggles to make

  • 2. Nepal s Effect On India Background Nepal s geography has made Nepal economically dependent on India as it is surrounded on three sides by India and on one (to its north) with the Himalayan range and the region of Tibet. After the devastating earth quake in Nepal, the country was hit by another humanitarian crisis this time due to a blockade at a crucial crossing on the border with India, which halted oil and other essential supplies landlocked Nepal obtains from its giant neighbor. The unveiling of a new constitution in late September sparked tensions between the Madhesi ethnic group and the government. The Madhesi and Tharu (ethnic group) people, who account for many of the southern residents of Nepal, had been protesting their lack of inclusion in the new ... Nepalese security had requested that it would protect truck drivers entering Nepal from the Indian border. But Indian custom officials has blocked supplies saying it s an order from above as in the Indian government. So, those to blame were Madhesi leaders, Indian government for supporting them and lastly Indian news and media giving completely biased information. Effects of the Blockade Nepal Oil Corporation had instructed fuel stations to stop selling petrol and diesel to vehicles bearing private registration numbers. The Nepali government was allowing people to drive only on alternate days and had asked people to use charcoal and firewood for cooking. It was like going back to the stone age where daily food had to be cooked in firewood. Only army trucks, and those carrying medical and essential supplies are being exempted. Efforts were also ongoing to reopen trading routes with China that had remained blocked because of huge landslides since the devastating earthquake in April 2015. On 29 September 2015, Kathmandu Airport the only International Airport in the country issued an advisory to international airlines to carry extra fuel after suspending refueling facility due to acute fuel shortage. In this case, John is given a certain number of days to file a lawsuit on his behalf. This process would have to go through several lengthy stages such as the EEOC administrative process. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The defendant at this time must plead any affirmative defenses and show that they are not liable because the affirmative defense rules out liability. The next step is the Discovery Process, which is the formal fact finding stage of litigation. There are several different types of discovery processes: interrogatories, depositions, request to produce documents, physical and mental examinations and request for admissions. Both sides would then request additional information from the other party or third parties to develop their case. In most cases if privileged information is gathered, the opposing party does not have to produce this information. In addition to information gathered, the parties may be able to determine their opponent s theories and strengths of their courtroom presentation. Based on their discovery plan and requests. Once the discovery process is completed, the Enlisting of Experts process is required. The plaintiff early in the pre trial process to determine whether he has a viable claim must obtain this expert. The defendant will also obtain an expert to support the defendant s theory of the case and refute the plaintiff s expert. After sufficient discovery has been made and experts are in place, either party may move for summary judgment. I chose this company because I love their grilled Panini and fruit smoothies are cheap in terms of price than other brands like Starbucks or Second Cup. In addition, I want to know how Tim Hortons decided to adopt foreign worker program to provide an opportunity for foreign workers to work for the company and how foreign workers play the role in the company. I also want to know how foreign worker program can benefit both the company and the worker and how this can become an opportunity for Tim Hortons to do business in different countries. One day, I was shopping at southgate mall and Tim Hortons were about to open their new location inside the mall. I decided to call Tim Hortons store at southgate mall and I happened to talk to the store supervisor. I explained what my research paper was about and asked the permission if I could ask some questions to the supervisor and he was willing to answer my questions. As a supervisor, he usually manage people, assign them to the tasks they need to accomplish, do cash out and accomplish food safety precautions especially with Tim Hortons soup and sandwich. Subsequently, these rules establish that a Florida Registered Paralegal is a paralegal who meets the requirements set out in Chapter 20 of the Rules regulating the Florida Bar. These rules designate that a paralegal is a person with education, training or work experience, who works under the direction of a member of The Florida Bar and who performs specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a member of The Florida Bar is responsible. However, there are certain differences, as well as pros and cons, between paralegals that are not registered under this rule and those who are, specifically on the following main points: work experience, education, and requirements to qualify. The first point in discussion is relative to work experience. Due to the fact that nowadays, grandfathering does not count anymore as available in order to register as a FRP, a person may no longer use experience alone as a basis for eligibility for registration: (c) Grandfathering. He listened for a moment, then came rushing back. Hey guys, he reputedly said, There s a new band in there and they re gonna steal our thunder. The seeds were sown for feminism, for the whole notion of cyberspace, ecology, and the whole philosophy of Gaia. Suzy Hopkins, formerly Suzy Creamcheese, a dancer and inspirational figure on the underground scene in Los Angeles and London, remembers the visceral way psychedelic culture affected the senses. There s a difference between a drug and a psychedelic. Drugs make you drugged and psychedelics enhance your ability to see the truth or reality, she says. For her, LSD and music created a kind of alchemy. When I start to dance, at a certain point, the dance takes over and the music is dancing me. Dancing is this electric enhancement of your spine by sound. Many psychedelic bands explored this sense of abandonment in their music, moving away from standard rock rhythms and instrumentation. The Grateful Dead of San Francisco, for instance, created an improvisatory mix of country rock, blues, and acid R B on albums like The Grateful Dead (1967) and Anthem of the Sun (1968), while another Frisco band, Jefferson Airplane (fronted by the striking vocalist Grace Slick), sang of the childlike hallucinatory delights of an acid trip in the 1967 Top Ten hit White Rabbit. The recessions brought about severe unemployment which has left lasting negative impacts on Britain. Many industries went bankrupt and workers lost their jobs. Industrial production fell sharply. The working class suffered the most during the recession. There were nearly 3.3 million people unemployed in 1984 as compared to 1.5 million when Thatcher first came to power in 1979. This divided the society into two distinct groups the rich and the poor. No other developed state, with the exception of New Zealand suffered such a brutal widening of inequality. The Gini coefficient is a measure of inequality in a society. A score of one would be a completely unequal society; zero would be completely equal. Britain s Gini core escalated from 0.253 to 0.339 during the time of Thatcherism. The effects were still felt years later when Thatcher resigned in 1990 and it was found that 28% of children were still living below the poverty line. Pensioners were the worst hit with the number living below the poverty line increasing drastically from 13% to 40%. It was also characteristic of a developed nation to have a high life expectancy going down after the recessions. Unemployment is very stressful and damaged, not only the morale of the people, but also affected their health. Medical care was unaffordable resulting in early deaths. After Thatcher resigned, statistics revealed that life expectancy increased again. People were happier, less stressed and, therefore, healthier. This merely emphasises the impact that Thatcherism had on the British people. Crime increased during the Thatcher regime as a direct consequence of unemployment and poverty. With the recession also came the dissolving of many British families. Divorce rates increased due to financial strain. Thatcher had no pity for the poor. That system however had many different influences to become what it was. Some of those influences came from the different regions in the American colonial time. In American colonial time, the Europeans who were settling along the coast all shared a general culture and heritage. They however had differences when it came to their economic, political and religious beliefs. Those main factors, as well as others, such as language and geography, motivated them to split into different colonies. The New England colonies included Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. They followed the views of the Puritanism and Calvinism. The Puritan belief system did not have a lot of patience with children, and they expected them to act as if they were young adults. • 14. Biological And Trait Perspectives On The Human Personality Biological and Trait Perspectives and Explanations of Neuroticism Two perspectives on the human personality will be explained in the following two sections. The first perspective is the biological perspective of personality. This perspective focuses largely on the internal genetic makeup of an individual and the effects this has on his or her personality. The biological perspective is strongly based on other scientific fields in laboratory or clinical conditions such as biology and biochemistry. The biological perspective involves intricate and often time consuming scientific experiments to test for personality traits and correlations. Evolution is sometimes also mentioned within the biological perspective in sociobiology. The structure and function of the brain (neurobiology) is also central to the biological theory of personality. The second perspective to be mentioned is the trait perspective of personality. According to Costa and McCrae, examination of the trait theory of personality is required for someone to make sense of the human personality (1998). Two ideas are central to the trait perspective of personality: A person s behaviors, contemplations, and emotions are relatively stable in varying situations and with time, and each individual personality is different from all other personalities (Carver Sheier, 2012). The trait perspective asserts that personalities are made up of various traits that vary in degrees of strength. These traits are exemplified on a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This sentiment was proclaimed in 1831 in Cherokee Nation V. Georgia. The United States has been attempting to integrate Native populations into the American systems since the first settlements arrived from across the sea. Original tribal status was that of dependent domestic nations 1. Recent history has changed the status of Native America to one of self determination and sovereignty. This status was not determined by the US Constitution as Native Tribes were sovereign people before Colonialization. The Unites States solidified the direct relationship between the Native Nations and the Federal Government with the Indian Commerce Clause of 1879. The Commerce Clause allowed Congress alone the power to regulate commerce between the United States and the Indian tribes.2 The Marshall Trilogy, Chief Justice Marshall s Supreme Court cases designated the limits of tribal sovereignty for the Native populations being surrounded by the newly formed United States of America. • 27. A Study On Admiralty Law And Maritime Law UNIT 1: INTRODUCTION 1.1 ABOUT SUBJECT: Admiralty Law or Maritime Law is a distinct body of domestic laws that supervene upon the maritime activities (like marine commerce, sailors related aspects, marine navigation, marine shipping, marine salvaging and transportation of passengers and goods by sea). It has also been governing questions and offenses related to maritime activities and other sub heads. Broadly, it is a more of a private international law related subject that governs the relationship between private entities that operate vessels on the oceans. Keeping in view the distinction with respect to the subject matters of Public and Private international law, it is mandatory to specify the distinction between The Law of the Seas and The admiralty law and the chapters succeeding will be a great source to enlighten the same. 1.2 HISTORY: The series that started with The Law of Prize as the governing Customary Law. Then came the the cannon shot rule that was developed by the Dutch Jurist (Cornelius van Bynkershoek), which talked about the limited National Rights granted to a specified belt of water extending from a nation s coastlines that was usually 3 nautical miles (i.e., 5.6 km or Three mile), it was so that all waters beyond national boundaries were considered international waters (i.e., free to all nations but belonging to none of them). There is also a lot of activity in this painting as well because there is Christ to the left washing the feet surrounded by his disciples, the women in the background at the table, and the man to the right fixing his shoe. The BCS does a great job of utilizing all the statistics and polls to establish the top twenty five teams in the nation. On the other hand the top two teams are the ones who attend the national championship and that is where the BCS system is unfair. For Example, Alex Giles wrote in his Article The Proposed Marriage of the BCS and a Playoff Format , In 2000, the BCS ranked Oklahoma Jerzy 6 #1 and Florida State #2 at seasons end, despite the fact that Miami was ranked #2 in the both the AP and the coaches poll and had beaten the Seminoles (Florida State) during the regular season. Flawed Economic Orlando Padilla Mrs. Miller English 1A Flawed Economic System How is it possible for people to be able to hit the lotto for millions and yet there is people starving in their homes ? How can there be so much misery in midst of such abundance ? Inequality is the source of enormous frustration among groups who no longer believe that they can achieve a reasonable facsmile of consumption as those of the upper classes. The social problems that result from such feelings represent some of the most fundamental contradictions that persist under advanced capitalism. That is why it should be of no surprise, then, that understanding the principle cause of these issues is an important topic for discussion. Today, government programs come and go and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Peet says Mechanization raises the surplus exploitable by the owners of the means of production by increasing the productivity of labor, and thus increases the capital available for reinvestment in more machinery, facilities, and raw materials (566). This means that as economic development takes place, the relative demand for labor falls because mechanization provides and faster and more efficient means of production. Production costs become more and more the costs of depreciating machinery and less and less the costs of hiring labor as machines are increasingly used to increase capital. As mechanization proceeds, unemployment increases and a labor reserve army is created. Under capitalism, economic development does not proceed smoothly. There are sudden bursts of expansion and even old declining industries bloom during economic booms. Peet says In such a situation the economy needs a quick transfusion of labor; a labor reserve is necessary, to be pulled into the labor force when needed, and discharged just as rapidly when demand slackens or mechanization proceeds (567). In other words, the labor reserve prevents surplus value from being diverted from capital accumulation to labor; thus, serving its role under capitalism. The Marxist argument, therefore, is that inequality is not a temporary aberation nor poverty a surprising paradox in advanced capitalist societies: instead inequality and poverty are vital to the normal operation of ... • 32. Luddism David F. Noble draws valuable parallels between our era of burgeoning technology and the technological advances of the industrial revolution. Proponents of technology during both eras, says Noble, argued that technological advancement was an essential, unstoppable force that would be inherently beneficial to humanity. Noble s counter argument looks at the human costs of unchecked technological growth, along the way re examining and redefining the meaning of Luddism. Noble stands in defence of Luddism and moves accusations of irrationalism to the religion of technology on which modern society is supposedly based. He argues that, while many processes were developed to improve metalworking after the war, the ones that ultimately prevailed were not the ones which were most efficient. He demonstrates how several alternate techniques actually had better results more quickly that the NC (Numeric Control) machining which eventually came to dominate the industries, and in fact the NC machines were often slower for a significant period of years. So why was there so much investment in the less efficient machines? Simple: the owners paid the R D costs, and the owners were more concerned about control that about pure efficiency or quality. NC machines held the promise of being able(eventually) to manufacture high quality goods WITHOUT SKILLED LABOR (precisely like the looms that the Luddites objected to). If you depend upon skilled workers, those workers have some control, most obviously because they can t be easily replaced. If the workers are minimally skilled, they can be more easily replaced, hence the owners have more control. Is there anything in common between the age of automation now upon us and the first industrial revolution long ago (circa 1790 1840)? Yes. Both surged ahead with technical progress and production, and eliminated jobs without jobs for the workers. Both claimed that technological progress was inevitable and would automatically put things right. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. George s, The And The Axis During World War II General S. Patton once said, Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity. Some may argue that his life was cut short while others may say it was too long. Being a man who fought in World War I and World War II, George S. Patton, Jr. certainly contained a wealth of experience in warfare. Looking at the written history, there were those who seemed to undervalue Patton, as well as those who may have held him much too high. Researchers have many different opinions on Patton s leadership, but the research here will encompass both the positive and the negative aspects of his leadership and surrounding issues while addressing the following questions: 1. He is famously known for somewhat outrageous personality and his conduct as a general during World War II. The family he was born into was wealthy and one with a very extensive military background, with family members having participated in the Revolutionary War, Mexican War, as well as the Civil War. This may explain a little about Patton s almost obsessive study of military history ranging from the Romans to the Napoleonic Wars (CMG Worldwide, Inc., n.d.). He ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Kaluza Klein Theory and Higher Dimensions Kaluza Klein Theory and Higher Dimensions I. Introduction Human civilization has always been characterized by our ceaseless curiosity and awe for what we do not comprehend. Our wonder for what lies beyond the scope of our daily lives has been the driving force for innovation and advancement. The intensity of our fascination for what lie beyond is consummately personified in the late astrologer and philosopher Giordano Bruno(1548 1600). Captivated by gazing into the night sky, Bruno dreamed of a homogenous universe(reference to phy 312) with a multitude suns with earth like planets rotating about them just like our own solar system. Publicly hailed a heretic, Bruno was rejected from scientific and religious communities alike. Even after being excommunicated by three different churches and denounced at Oxford University, Bruno held on tight to his beliefs. His ideas would eventually lead him to the stake where he was burned to death on charges of heresy and opposing the catholic faith. Bruno s death served as indispensable sacrifice for modern day cosmology and our scientific community. It ultimately marked the beginning of humanity s questioning of whether our world is actually what tradition tells us. Whether if it was Einstein questioning Newton s long held laws of motions or Bohr questioning Einstein s beliefs on quantum mechanics, history has repeatedly shown that curiosity about what we do not know is integral towards the advancement of science. • 35. A Brief Note On Work And Life Balance Work and Life balance has become a consequential topic about a few decades ago up until today. Work life balance was originally derived in the 1970 s to refer to the balance that exists in one s professional life and personal one (Newman Matthews, 1999). In the past decade or so, there has sparked a curiosity in the work life balance realm. More and more studies and research came about on the topic and attracted the attention of scholars, the government, press, etc. This increase in curiosity could be driven by the worry that a lack of adequate work life balance could spillover into health and even lower productivity for organizations. Today, we see that most people are working harder and longer than they ever were which makes it nearly unimaginable to attain that crucial work life balance. Having a sustainable work life balance means that there occurs adequate work functioning as well as the home with there being little to no role conflict (Sturges Guest, 2004). Sturges and Guest (2004) also discuss that there are graduates that are pulled into situations where they have to work lengthy hours which inevitably leads to a poor balance in the work and life aspect. At the core foundation of this, work life balance characteristics are contingent upon the various communication methods that occur in one s organization. Having both formal and informal forms of communication, are crucial for both mentally and physically in order to be happy in the workplace. This paper focuses ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Thus, this form of budgeting agrees to the statement of cutting coat according to cloth. Holden Caufield s cynical way of narrating the story with his constant criticism about other people and the ugliness of the world, introduces the readers to a judgemental and critical protagonist.
