The Role of the Supreme Court in the Civil Rights...
The Supreme Court was important in both suppressing and aiding the Civil Rights Movement.
However, decisions taken by the President, the continued white opposition and improvements in
media communications also had an effect. Although all were important, the Civil Rights
movement alone would have reached the same end without the help of the Supreme Court, and
the devotion of its many members and leaders is the major factor in advancing Civil Rights. The
Supreme Court is perhaps most well known for the Brown vs. Board of Education decision in
1954. By declaring that segregation in schools was unconstitutional, Kevern Verney says a direct
reversal of the Plessy ... ruling 1 58 years earlier was affected. It was Plessy which gave southern...

The second element of the ruling the effect it had on African American supporters and the
encouragement if afforded had a greater impact. Paterson and Willoughby say the psychological
need for integration6 had been recognised, what Patterson calls the symbolic value of Brown 7. All
three historians agree that African Americans needed some success to motivate the continued
struggle, and this Brown provided. Patterson says activists were extraordinarily heartened by Brown
8. Kevern Verney talks of a renewed hope 9 given to African Americans. They were similarly helped
by Browder v. Gayle in 1956, which ruled the bus segregation in Montgomery unconstitutional, and
Boyton v. Virginia in 1960, which extended this ruling to waiting rooms and restaurants. According
to Willoughby and Paterson, the clear cut decision came in the knick of time 10 for the protest
movement, which might not have succeeded without the ruling by the court. Even here, however,
the court was unable to enforce the actions. One observer recalled a bus station ... still rigorously
segregated 11, in 1966. These examples show the Supreme Court as advancing the Civil Rights by
passing favourable and motivating rulings, but it certainly fell short when it came to enforcing
them. Taking everything into account, the Supreme Court was a force for change, but not without
fault, in the later 20th century. Civil Rights groups themselves were arguably more important

3d Printing And Its Effects
Introduction
3D printing has been quoted by the Financial Times and from other sources as, Possibly being
bigger than the internet (Jun 21, 2012). The earliest 3D printing technologies first became visible in
the late 1980 s. There are multiple different types of 3D printing technologies, which process
different materials in unique ways to create the desired object. Since the emergence of 3D printing,
developments and improvements to the process and the materials has greatly expanded the various
applications. 3D printing was invented as a means of speeding up the early stages of product
development, using simple material, and multiple applications.

Because of these advancements, like most technology, it soon made its way into the hands of the
consumers. In 2007 the first system under $10,000 was made by 3D Systems. However, it wasn t
until January 2009 that the first commercially available 3D printer was offered for sale.
3D Printing Technologies There are multiple different types of 3D printing technologies, which
process different materials in unique ways to create the desired object. Before you read on let
us first learn some basics about 3D printing, which will be explained later in greater detail. The
starting point for any 3D printing process is a 3D digital model, which can be created using a
variety of 3D software programs. The only limitations to 3D printing is the amount of material
you have. The most common and recognized material would be plastics, Ex. PLA and ABS.
When using plastics, the process is as follows: extruding the material in filament form through a
heated extruder to form layers and create the predetermined shape. Because parts can be printed
directly, it is possible to produce very detailed and intricate objects. As well as technology, there are
multiple processes for 3D printing. The very first being Stereolithography (SL). SL is a very
accurate laser based process that works with photopolymer resins (see picture one). Next is Digital
Light Processing (DLP), which is similar to SL in the aspect of photopolymers. The only major
difference/advantage between the two is that DLP only

The Back Of The Future Trilogy Narrative And A Few...
Time travel narratives explore the idea of changing what has been solidified in time; whether
going backwards or forwards, they portray the consequences of the free will of change They also
portray an ideology of the time period it is created in and thus the vision of the future is created
with that in mind. With a rather pessimistic idea of time, there has been an incorporation of comedy
in order to make the events less consequential in their narratives. The Back to the Future trilogy
narrative and a few selected episodes of Futurama share time traveltraits that can explore the
consequences of changing both the past and future but uses comedy in order to alleviate the
morbid idea of time. They both explore the ideas of butterfly effects, alternate universes, causal
loops with scientific accuracy but allows comedy to rectify the absurdity of time travel and its
components. Where Back to the Future sees time travel as an idea that can go both backwards
and forwards, Futurama clearly states that backwards time travel is difficult to do and prove, but
forwards time travel is scientifically capable. In the confines of science fiction, time travel reveals
a side that allows alterations in choices; science fiction narratives are situational ideas that have
been solidified in its event, whereas time travel narratives allow for the exploration of preventing
events from ever happening.
The concept of time travel suffers from the idea of being stuck in a certain time period and

Kreidezeitudist Movement Essay
The fifth, and one of the largest and most well known extinctions in Earths history was the
Cretaceous period, where many species, including the dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and large marine
reptiles, disappeared. This period was widely known as the K T period, K being the traditional
abbreviation for the CretaceousPeriod derived from the German name Kreidezeit, and T being the
abbreviation for the Tertiary Period (a historical term for the period of time now covered by the
Paleogene and Neogene periods). It was a relatively warm climate and had high global sea levels.
The oceans and seas were populated with now extinct marine reptiles, ammonites and rudists, and
the land by dinosaurs. At the same time, new groups of mammals and birds as well as flowering
plants appeared. The early part of the Cretaceous showed a cooling trend that had been... Show

Because there were no known fossil non avian dinosaur fossils in rocks younger than the K T
boundary, scientists have concluded that non avian dinosaurs became extinct immediately before,
or during the event. It is possible that small dinosaurs (other than birds) did survive, but they
would have been deprived of food as both herbivorous dinosaurs would have found plant material
scarce, and carnivores would have quickly found prey to be in short supply. Ectothermic (cold
blooded) crocodiles have very limited needs for food (they can survive several months without
eating) while endothermic (warm blooded) animals of similar size need much more food in order to
sustain their faster metabolism. Therefore, under the circumstances of food chain disruption
previously mentioned, non avian dinosaurs died while some crocodiles survived. The survival of
other endothermic animals, such as some birds and mammals, could be due, among other reasons,
to their smaller needs for food, related to their small size at the extinction

Abstract
In a story, the particular way a character uses language sheds light on her understanding of herself
and the world around her because language is the vessel for meaning making and the construction
of reality. In literature, stylistics (Simpson 2004, Jeffries 2010) provides the tools for an analysis
of language by investigating where the literary effects stem from. One of the tools is transitivity
(Halliday 1985, 2004) which studies the choice of verbs. Since transitivity has ... Show more

disappointment in herself, a disillusionment about the world around her, and a search for the truth.
The novel traces the development of this young woman s personality throughout a series of
encounters and adventures within a six month span.
From the beginning of the story the reader comes to know Esther as a perceptive woman who is
strongly aware of the chasm between her fifteen years of straight A s and her inadequacies,
particularly when she compares herself with the those around her. This quality is reflected in her
language, which is one of the most prominent features of the novel itself. The protagonist s
ambivalence towards her role models, her dissatisfaction with herself, and her desire to be
recognized as a mature, talented individual can be inferred from her language throughout the course

The characteristics of the characters in a story is something that makes them who they are and what

intelligence, his determination, and his risk taking.
The narrator s intelligence is one of his most important and most noticeable traits.Intelligence is
something that happens in almost every scene in the story. The imagination in your mind will
let you see how it goes out and turns into better. The narrator chose to smoke a cigarette and he
lit a flame and got shot. Draping flat onto the roof he crawled back to the parapet with his left
hand he felt insured. He drew his knife to fix the wound. (213). Here, the narrator, after getting
shot, crawls back acting like there is no pain at all leans up against the parapet (wall on a roof)
and gets his knife and cuts his sleeve off to see the wound and get the bullet out. After he got the
bullet out and rapped his cut sleeve around his arm to slow down the bleeding. The narrator, after
getting shot, he came up with a very good idea. Taking off his cap, he placed it over the muzzle
of his rifle. Then pushed his rifle slowly over the parapet until the cap was visible. (214). Here, the

Mental Illness In Godwin s A Sorrowful Woman
In Godwin s story A Sorrowful Woman , the mother has a series of very complex feelings and
emotions. From the story, it can be inferred that this is a woman with a sudden onset of mental
illness, a woman who has lost her identity and sense of belonging; and a woman who is
consciously aware of all this, knowing she is a burden to her loved ones.
This mother shows signs of her mental illness almost right off the bat, when, after looking at her
son, she began yelping without tears, retching in between (39). The onset of this illness appears
to be very sudden. The story begins with One winter evening she looked at them....the sight of
them made her so sad and sick she did not want to see them ever again (39). It seems as if just
one evening she suddenly begins to feel this way. When the son says, It s alright Mommy (39),
causing the father to respond Mommy is sick (39), shows that the father did not have time to
explain this to the son any time before. There is no evidence given in the story as to what caused
her mental illness, though we can infer that the onset was quite sudden. Throughout the story, the
woman is never identified, only being referred to as the woman (40). So we never have a sense of
her identity outside of the fact that she is a wife and a mother with a mental illness. She also tries to
find herself and her identity. She was a young queen, a virgin in a tower, she was the previous
inhabitant, the girl with all the energies. She tried these

Uniform Civil Code Essay
Article 44 of the Indian Constitution expects from the State to codify and implement a Uniform
Civil Code for all citizens of India. As it is a directive principle the Indian State should endeavor to
codify and enforce it. Article 44 of the Indian Constitution provides The State shall endeavor to
secure for the citizens a uniform civil code throughout the territory of India . 1 There is a separate
Civil Code for various religious affiliations in India but a Uniform Criminal Code exists2. The
Criminal law imposes same rights, duties and liabilities on all citizens without considering their
religious affiliation. However in the case of civil matter more specifically in cases of personal
matters (marriage, divorce, maintenance, inheritance etc.) there is no uniformity in law.
The law pertaining to marriage, divorce, guardianship, succession and maintenance governing the
Christians, Hindus and Muslim etc., are dissimilar and varies from one religion to other and
managed by their separate personal laws like the Hindu Marriage Act; the Hindu Adoption and
Maintenance Act; the Hindu Minority and Guardian ship Act; the Hindu Succession Act; governing
the personal matters of Hindus. The Shariat Act, The Dissolution of Muslim Marriage Act and the
Muslim Women (protection of Rights on Divorce) Act etc., which are based on the tenets of Holy
Quran, govern the personal matters of Muslims. A uniform civil code will help India in national
and to some extent in religious unification. It is

Essay about Anzaldúa’s Genre Borderlands
AnzaldГєa s Genre Borderlands
Gloria AnzaldГєa writes of a Utopic frame of mind, the borderlands created in and lived in by the
new mestiza. She describes the preexisting natures of the Anglos, Mexicanos, and Chicanos as seen
around the southwest U.S. / Mexican border, indicative of the nations at large. She also probes the
borders of language, sexuality, psychology and spirituality. AnzaldГєa presents this information in
various identifiable ways including the autobiography, historical/informative essay, and poetry.
What is unique to AnzaldГєa is her ability to weave a perfect kind of compromised state of mind
that melds together the preexisting cultures while simultaneously formulating a fusion of genres
that stretches previously ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
AnzaldГєa finds that combining the two distinct forms adds a new dimension that is necessary to
fully comprehend the history of a people.
Sexuality and spirituality thrives as other topics in which Anzaldua combines genres. In this
instance she combines history and autobiography. Again this gives a more humanelook at history.
However, this use is more distinctly personal whereas the previous combination of history and
poetry provided a more universal personal approach. This talks about AnzaldГєa s part in history.
AnzaldГєa writes, Being lesbian and raised Catholic, I was indoctrinated as straight, I made the
choice to be queer (for some it is genetically inherent) (41). This line is found in a section dealing
with homophobia that resides heavily in the cultures she identifies with. While this phobia exists in
the culture at large and is recorded as such, AnzaldГєa provides a personal account as an example.
In another way, language also provides this dynamic that AnzaldГєa aims for. AnzaldГєa takes the
separate Spanish and English languages and her own Chicana tongue and creates a book that
makes uses of both. Both languages are vital in some way. While the book is primarily written in
English, often titles, sentences, and poetry parts are in a Spanish that more than likely is not easily
translatable to those who are not bilingual. Language seems to best sum up the importance of her
borderlands in genre and life. AnzaldГєa says,

Black Molly Research Paper
There are some peculiar varieties of fish which requires special conditions for their existence.
Black molly is one of them.
Black Molly is a brackish fish. Such type of fish cannot sustain in either pure freshwater or in pure
saltwater. They must be kept in a tank with water which has some salt. The quantity of salt may
not be very high like normal saltwater but there has to be some salt required for them to live.
Naturally you cannot easily accommodate Black Molly with other fish in fresh water or salt water
tanks.
You should make some on line research and also consult your pet shop owner about how much salt
needs to be placed in the water.

Usually it resembles a black guppy fish. This is a live bearer fish. So you need to provide a lot
of baby fish around the adults. If you keep a pair of a male and a female with no young ones
around, they may not be comfortable with the environment and may develop stress which may even
result in their death.
In spite of these specific requirements, Black Molly is an easy fish to care. You should put the
fish in a tank with the water capacity of 10 gallons or more. This is required for taking care of
their living environment. The fish will grow up to two inches over a period of time. If you want
to keep a family of them in the tank, which is recommended, you should calculate the water
capacity at two gallons per one inch of fish. So if the family consists of 10 members, you can keep
them in a tank of 20 plus gallons.
The temperature of water should be kept in the range of 75 85 degrees. You should install a
lighting system to provide sufficient light for them. They will usually require 6 hours of light
every day. Please do not keep the light for longer time. In that case, the temperature of the water
will increase and the fish will get over heated. Providing light for 6 hours will resemble their natural

With technology changing it is difficult to keep up with the progress. The piano today varies from
the piano in the classical romantic period in ways such as:
The modern Piano has 88 keys (52 white and 36 black), allowing the artist to emote with music.
Each key corresponds to two or three strings. The base notes have long strings and the higher the
notes go, the shorter the strings get. There are 100 parts to each key and 30 adjustments can be
made to each key. (LifeIsMusic, 2015).
Something else that has changed within the past few decades is that, since the Classical Period,
almost every middle class to upper class family had a piano in their household and it was
expected that every member of the family was to learn to play it. Because of the way technology
has been moving, music has been primarily heard through phones or laptops and could be made
through other sources of technology too. Unfortunately that means that the life of the piano has
been at a standstill within chamber music. Thankfully, a lot of composers today have kept the
piano in their works and it is just as important as it was during the Romantic and Classical

October 8th 2014 Organizational Climate The organizational climate within an organization or
company is very important and complex. When two companies merge with different corporate
culture, it is important to find out which cultures to keep and which to lose. In determining the best
practices, it is important to keep your employees feelings in mind. After all, without the employees,

In opening the lines of communication, it will help unify the culture by suggesting that each
employee learn about each other and their work to be on the same page. When opening the lines of
communication, an organization also needs to establish the rules for both of the organizations to
follow.
Rule Implementing
Implementing rules and sticking to them is a large process in merging two companies. This
becomes such a large process because both of the companies have different cultures that need to
be addressed. In the most ideal situation, the manager would overview the two cultures and
establish what is to be kept, in doing so the new culture and rules will be set forth and the
employees will be required to follow them. This will not be easy for those who have adapted to
rules and do not want to change their ways. Sometimes feelings may be hurt, and employees may
resign due to the new rules implemented. In order to keep the peace, one must explain that things
will be changing, and they hope that those employed will embrace the change and work together
with management to make the transition as easy as possible. Some employees may not see this
fit, and will resign or complain with the new rules. The rules are in place for all of the employees,
despite their age. Therefore, management needs to be strict on how they implement the rules. The
consequences need to be told up front, and if someone if breaking the rules they

How Is Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead
Parody, Pastiche and Their Contribution to Configuring the Theme of Identity in Tom Stoppard s

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead is written by Tom Stoppard. It is a parody for the
Shakespearean play, Hamlet. The play starts with the two major characters, Rosencrantz and
Guildenstern flipping a coin. Rosencrantz always won the game and Guildenstern was trying to
understand the laws of mathematics. Even from the beginning of the play we are told that
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are called Ros and Guil. This fact meant that they are pop culture
representants and it is a reduction of the Shakespearean play. From the title it can be seen the fact

It satirized the Elizabethan play through characters and how they act and even through the fact that
now the play centers on Ros and Guil. When the other Shakespearean characters are introduced, the
do not appear like in Hamlet , but they are puppets, without life, or personality. They did not have
much significance in the play. Now they are minor characters which used the two main
characters for their own purpose. Gertrude wanted to understand what happened to her son and
Claudius also used them to kill Hamlet. Ros and Guil were their servants because they
responded to the call of Claudius and Gertrude. Hamlet was also a minor character here. Like in
Shakespeare s play he followed his own interest, but here Ros and Guil were sent to understand
his plans. The parody here came from the fact that the most major characters from Shakespeare s
play are now minor and the minor characters are major. The tragic effect from Hamlet is now
given to clowns, Ros and Guil, which are stupid characters; they do not know who they are. It is
an exaggeration of the human condition and this makes a play a tragicomedy. Like Hamlet tried to

The disadvantages of the combined pill is that they do not protect against the contraction of HIV
/AIDS or other STIs; a women must remember to take the pill at the same time; every day, some
women experience headaches, depression or decreased enjoyment of intercourse. The Progestin
only pills work by making cervical mucus thicker so that the sperm cannot get to the egg and the
also make the lining of the uterus thinner, sometimes they even stop ovulation. The effectiveness
against pregnancy and the contraction of HIV/AIDS is the same as combined contraceptive pills.
Some of the advantages of choosing progestin only pills are that the amount of progestin in these
pills in less than in combined pills; these pills cause light menstrual flow and less anaemia and they
also reduce menstrual cramps, pain, headaches, mood swings and breast tenderness. The
disadvantages of choosing progestin only pills is that they cause your menstrual cycle to be
irregular; like the combined pills, they do not protect against HIV/AIDS or other STIs and a

Did Frank commit the crime of bank robbery? At what point, if any, did Frank commit the crime of
attempted bank robbery? If the cashier had no money, would that fact be a valid defense to the
attempted robbery? Why?
In criminal law, an attempted robbery occurs when there is an undertaking to commit an act which
includes preparation but does not result in the successful completion of the act (Falk, 2010). In the
case of Frank, there are substantial efforts that he puts in place in abed to rob the bank. Frank does
not commit the offense of bank robbery but that of attempted bank robbery. After looking over
the First city bank, he goes to his storage and removes his old pistol and even bought shells for it.
He then prepares a note and goes into the bank with a mask. It is only after the siren goes off that
he runs off. This clearly shows that frank was prepared to carry out the act and went to all lengths
to prepare to commit the offense. It would not be a valid defense if the cashier had no money
because while committing the offense frank was unaware of this fact. He was armed and willing to
commit the crime.

Chapter 4 of the elements of crime states that a defendant does not commit attempt by plotting or
planning an offense (Aspen Publishers, 2010). There is an extension that dictates that mere
preparation is not enough to constitute the attempt criminal act element. However, the crux of any
attempt is how close to completing the offense the defendant must get to fulfill the attempt criminal
act requirement (Neubauer Fradella, 2013). Jurisdictions use the four tests which include the
proximity test, res ipsa loquitur test, probable desistance test and the model penal code s substantial

Teaching Assistant Reflection
In my third year at SBU I became a teaching assistant (TA) for the biology lab courses. Every
week a graduate TA (GTA) and I held a 3 hour lab course with 24 students. Alternating roles with
the GTA, one week I would introduce the topic of the lab and the next week I would prepare the

Crime in America Essay
Parole (early release from prison) is often referred to as the back door to the US corrections
system. The concept of parole dates back to the establishment of the Elmira Reformatory. The
goal of the Elmira Reformatory was to rehabilitate and reform the criminal instead of following
the traditional method of silence, obedience, and labor. Parole was originally set up to encourage
prisoners to do well, keep their noses clean, and become model prisoners. Once a prisoner had
shown rehabilitation and reform they were released prior to the execution of their full sentence.
Before a prisoner can be released on parole he/she must meet before a parole board. Each prison

The job of these members is to determine whether or not the inmate up for parole is suitable for
release.
Before an inmate comes before the parole board there are procedures that must happen. The first
thing that happens is the inmate s name will appear on a computer generated list. The victims
will be notified of the possible parole. The list of names is sent to the Transitional Planning
Department. At the TPD a case manager will be assigned to interview the inmate and find out
his/her plan for parole. This plan is filed and is sent to the parole board. The parole board then
interviews the inmate and will vote on the case. If parole is granted the prison officials will
prepare the inmate for release. However if parole is denied the inmate will be given a conditional
release date which is usually within one to three years where the process will start all over.
In order to determine whether or not the inmate is suitable for parole the board will review his/her
record. This record has past convictions, education obtained, prior employment, and behavior in
prison among other things. The way that the system is set up only those who have been reformed
and rehabilitated and serve as no threat to society will be released. In theory this is an excellent
system if used right.
However in today s society we do not have the resources or facilities to use this system properly.

Consequences Of Marriage And Wedding Scenes In The Deer...
One of several 1978 films dealing with the Vietnam War is The Deer Hunters an old movie which
the audience can notice at the beginning. The two principal events are the wedding and the deer
hunt, this movie opens with an Italian celebration wedding, which is very unusual for today s
wedding. They have distinct cultures and it is very emotive. The wedding reception celebrates
both marriage and enlistment. The reception takes place in a Veteran s Hall, enlistment
overwhelms the wedding in ultimate significance, and the principal females (e.g., Linda) are
clearly at the mercy of males. When the deer hunt replaces the wedding, the domination of female
by the male, love by war, is complete. In the wedding scene, the director plays a long scene, even
overlong, which in today s cinema would be edited significantly to get to the action. But this long
sequence sets the scene by introducing the characters and showing us in their natural habitat.
Without this, we would not know them or care for them as much. The second even is the hunter,
As the hunt takes over, human relations become more and more dissociative. Not only do the
hunters leave women behind, they split from the community of Clairton. It was a scene where
after the wedding. Michael, Nick Stanley, and two more friends were discussing why Stanly never
comes prepare and they are making fun of him and comparing his actions to John Wayne because
he always comes out with a little gun. This scene shows a Michael very strict.

Auto Loan With Bad Credit
Refinance Auto Loan with Bad Credit
Description: This piece of article is going to reveal a number of very important facts on refinancing
automobile loan with awful credit
In case you must refinance auto loan with bad credit as a result of economic hardship and are
troubled that you will have difficulty finding a lender who would be ready to work with you do
not need to be concerned. This is because there are ample people whose situation is similar to yours.
The fact is that the number of end users handling bad / no credit in any way has increased
noticeably over the course of the past small number of years as a result of meager economic
conditions. There are also more lenders who are ready to work with those having credit issues.
Refinancing is Right for You?
Ahead of commencing your hunt for a lender who is eager on working with somebody having bad
credit, you must first decide whether refinancing is sensible or not. It does not seem sensible if
you can acquire a lesser interest rate on the new loan of yours. It is also sensible if your eventual
goal is to merely get a lesser monthly imbursement.
Refinance auto loan with bad credit is not sensible if it so happens that the new loan leads to
greater interest costs. All being said and done it basically boils down on what you as a borrower
are happy with. If you re okay with paying additional interest over the longer run to be able to get a
lesser monthly payment that you re happier with, refinance option does make sense.

Introduction
On paper, global marketing is undoubtedly a great concept. The idea of leveraging a marketing
strategy across multiple markets seems to be nothing but beneficial. It saves effort and resources,

The Negative Impact Of X-Rays On The Human Body
l
.
Abstract X rays are commonly assumed to be dangerous and a cause for cancer, but how much
exposure is actually dangerous to humans? Every year 7 out of 10 Americans receive at least one
X ray, and each X ray exposes the patient to a small amount of radiation. People are also exposed
to naturally occurring radiation that comes out of rocks and from outer space. Over time, radiation
exposure builds up, and a patient can eventually have an increased risk of cancer, after a certain
threshold is reached. The cell damage is not easy to control, and can be deadly once it becomes

The World Nuclear Association has recorded that most of the earth receives about 1.5 3.5
millisieverts of radiation a year. The Kerala and Madras States in India receive about 15
millisieverts a year, the highest naturally occurring rates anywhere on earth. This natural radiation
is caused by sand that contains thorium, a radioactive element. Parts of Brazil and Sudan also
receive large amounts of radiation, due to their geology. Natural radiation is safe, most of the time,
and most of the radiation comes from rock, (even the granite in a counter top) or from space.
What are Health Impacts?
Large amounts of X ray radiation can cause mild effects such as headaches and vomiting, but
they can also cause more severe effects such as hair loss, low blood pressure and even death.

something said by heart, however it can hurt someone internal. The truth even hurts Gene himself in
this situation. In daily life many people keep their personal belongings to themselves. This can be
represented as a secret, or the truth, Sharing it sometimes can result in social conflict, or fear of
someone or something. In my opinion as well as many others, people say that the truth should be
said even though when the event occurs that someone asks about something, telling that person the
truth can result in consequences or mistrust. Looking at another point of anger, usually wars start
with something that angers a country. For example, when the United States of America tried to
stop Germany in World War 1 Germany fought harder and this resulted in over 100,000 American
casualties. Stopping someone from their actions sometimes results in conflict between that person,
and the person who said that. There are boundaries between people that should not be

The Hutcheson Case Study
Based on the way the boys were found, hog tied and cut, as well as rumors that started floating
around, police started to suspect that the crime might have been part of a cult ritual. Damien
Echols had been known to listen to satanic music and possibly was part of a satanic cult although
he denied any affiliation with a cult or with the crime. Jason Baldwinwas a friend of Echols
however he was different in that he excelled in school and out of the three teenagers probably had
the best shot of going to college and making a life for himself. Jesse Misskelly Jr. didn t really
know Echols or Baldwin but Vicki Hutcheson, a woman who helped police with the search thought
he might have some information on the case. Hutcheson played a crucial roll in the investigation as
she gave testimony of her knowledge that the teens had committed the murder. Misskelly, who had
an extremely low IQ and was a minor, was questioned for about twelve hours. At the end of the
questioning he confessed to the crimes and told the police he had acted with Echols and Baldwin as

One situation that was brought to light was that a knife had been found belonging to John Mark
Byers, who was Christopher Byers stepfather. There was blood on the knife that was consistent
with both Christopher s and John s blood, however, the police never looked any further into it
(Choate, 2015). The crime scene itself was absolutely a mess, as the police did not wait for a
medical examiner to check the bodies before dragging them out of the creek, which left them
susceptible to the sun and insects. A few years after the teens had been convicted, it was noticed
in the crime scene photos that one of the boys, Steve Branch, appeared to have bite marks on his
forehead. The dental records from Echols, Baldwin and Misskelly did not match that of the
photographs and John Mark Byers had his teeth removed before his dental records could be

Skok Freedom Speech
Dwight D. Eisenhower once said, Every step we take towards making the State our Caretaker of
our lives, by that much we move toward making the State our Master. The First Amendment to the
Unites States Constitution has been under much scrutiny and had much heat of late. Returning to
its pure roots, National Socialist Party of America v. Village of Skokie describes how the U. S.
Government must allow freedom speech, even if it is evil, to protect the democracy. When the
National Socialist Party of America (NSPA), a professed Nazi group, applied for a permit to
demonstrate in the highly Jewish city of Skokie, the town refused to grant the permit. NSPA took
their case to the county court which granted them the ability to peacefully protest... Show more

This case points back to the purpose of government. Dwight D. Eisenhower as did many Unites
States presidents, stated countless times that a democracy can only stand with virtuous people
as its citizens. If evil people fill the country, only a dictatorship can bring order. This case
demonstrates that America is built upon allowing the free speech of controversial and opposing
views. Limiting the rights of the NSPA would pave the way for other types of speech to be
limited. My initial view was of course that anyone promoting Nazis views should not be allowed
to march, especially considering the town s Jewish population. After further consideration, I
realized that if the government has the ability to restrict Nazis protests, they have the ability to
silence me if I am trying to share my faith with a Nazi and it offends them. If we give this power
of limiting free speech to the government, they will basically be able to limit it however they so
choose. If we allow the government to specifically certain types of speech, that power will
invariably grow and power that is once tasted is not given back. We would most definitely loose
freedom in other areas of speech. The speech, though I m sure it caused emotional distress, did not
physically harm the citizens of the town. I do think that the banning of the swastika was
appropriate. At popularly agreed times, it is not appropriate to demonstrate with the Confederate
Flag or other symbols that can inferred with extreme

Physical And Treatment Of Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy is one of the most important medical health related fields out there. Physical
Therapists play a crucial role in their patient s overall health. However, the main goals of a
Physical Therapist is to aid in recovery, rehab, increase range of motion, and reduce pain for their
patients. During a normal work day, they will typically see a variety of patients whose age can
range from an eight year old to an 85 year old, and each one with a challenging and unique health
issue. These issues can be anything from a post surgical athlete trying to get back on the playing
field to a 65 year old grandma who has hip and knee problems and needs exercises to strengthen
those areas. In order for their patients to strengthen or rehabilitate a certain area, a treatment plan
needs to be developed. Here, PT s select exercises, stretches, and other techniques which they think
will help their patient s recovery process and get them back to normal. Therefore, treatment plans
are one of the most important aspects of the job description. Although these Physical Therapists are
medical professionals, they cannot include everything in their treatment plans. For example, they
cannot perform surgery or give prescription medications because they are not technically
specialized or fully qualified to do so. But instead, they can recommend their patient s to a doctor
who can perform surgery on them or suggest a medication a Physician can prescribe to them.
Typically, Physical Therapists

However, decisions taken by the President, the continued white opposition and improvements in media communications also had an effect. Although all were important, the Civil Rights movement alone would have reached the same end without the help of the Supreme Court, and the devotion of its many members and leaders is the major factor in advancing Civil Rights. The Supreme Court is perhaps most well known for the Brown vs. Board of Education decision in 1954. Paterson and Willoughby say the psychological need for integration6 had been recognised, what Patterson calls the symbolic value of Brown 7. All three historians agree that African Americans needed some success to motivate the continued struggle, and this Brown provided. Patterson says activists were extraordinarily heartened by Brown 8. Kevern Verney talks of a renewed hope 9 given to African Americans. They were similarly helped by Browder v. Gayle in 1956, which ruled the bus segregation in Montgomery unconstitutional, and Boyton v. Virginia in 1960, which extended this ruling to waiting rooms and restaurants. According to Willoughby and Paterson, the clear cut decision came in the knick of time 10 for the protest movement, which might not have succeeded without the ruling by the court. Even here, however, the court was unable to enforce the actions. One observer recalled a bus station ... still rigorously segregated 11, in 1966. These examples show the Supreme Court as advancing the Civil Rights by passing favourable and motivating rulings, but it certainly fell short when it came to enforcing them. Before you read on let us first learn some basics about 3D printing, which will be explained later in greater detail. The starting point for any 3D printing process is a 3D digital model, which can be created using a variety of 3D software programs. The only limitations to 3D printing is the amount of material you have. The most common and recognized material would be plastics, Ex. PLA and ABS. When using plastics, the process is as follows: extruding the material in filament form through a heated extruder to form layers and create the predetermined shape. Because parts can be printed directly, it is possible to produce very detailed and intricate objects. As well as technology, there are multiple processes for 3D printing. The very first being Stereolithography (SL). SL is a very accurate laser based process that works with photopolymer resins (see picture one). Next is Digital Light Processing (DLP), which is similar to SL in the aspect of photopolymers. The only major difference/advantage between the two is that DLP only ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. The Back Of The Future Trilogy Narrative And A Few... Time travel narratives explore the idea of changing what has been solidified in time; whether going backwards or forwards, they portray the consequences of the free will of change They also portray an ideology of the time period it is created in and thus the vision of the future is created with that in mind. With a rather pessimistic idea of time, there has been an incorporation of comedy in order to make the events less consequential in their narratives. The Back to the Future trilogy narrative and a few selected episodes of Futurama share time traveltraits that can explore the consequences of changing both the past and future but uses comedy in order to alleviate the morbid idea of time. They both explore the ideas of butterfly effects, alternate universes, causal loops with scientific accuracy but allows comedy to rectify the absurdity of time travel and its components. Where Back to the Future sees time travel as an idea that can go both backwards and forwards, Futurama clearly states that backwards time travel is difficult to do and prove, but forwards time travel is scientifically capable. In the confines of science fiction, time travel reveals a side that allows alterations in choices; science fiction narratives are situational ideas that have been solidified in its event, whereas time travel narratives allow for the exploration of preventing events from ever happening. This mother shows signs of her mental illness almost right off the bat, when, after looking at her son, she began yelping without tears, retching in between (39). The onset of this illness appears to be very sudden. The story begins with One winter evening she looked at them....the sight of them made her so sad and sick she did not want to see them ever again (39). There is no evidence given in the story as to what caused her mental illness, though we can infer that the onset was quite sudden. • 28. Crime in America Essay Parole (early release from prison) is often referred to as the back door to the US corrections system. The concept of parole dates back to the establishment of the Elmira Reformatory. The goal of the Elmira Reformatory was to rehabilitate and reform the criminal instead of following the traditional method of silence, obedience, and labor. Parole was originally set up to encourage prisoners to do well, keep their noses clean, and become model prisoners. Once a prisoner had shown rehabilitation and reform they were released prior to the execution of their full sentence. Before a prisoner can be released on parole he/she must meet before a parole board. Each prison with a parole system is set up with one of two types of parole services. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The job of these members is to determine whether or not the inmate up for parole is suitable for release. Before an inmate comes before the parole board there are procedures that must happen. The first thing that happens is the inmate s name will appear on a computer generated list. The victims will be notified of the possible parole. The list of names is sent to the Transitional Planning Department. At the TPD a case manager will be assigned to interview the inmate and find out his/her plan for parole. This plan is filed and is sent to the parole board. The parole board then interviews the inmate and will vote on the case. If parole is granted the prison officials will prepare the inmate for release. However if parole is denied the inmate will be given a conditional release date which is usually within one to three years where the process will start all over. In order to determine whether or not the inmate is suitable for parole the board will review his/her record. This record has past convictions, education obtained, prior employment, and behavior in prison among other things. The way that the system is set up only those who have been reformed and rehabilitated and serve as no threat to society will be released. In theory this is an excellent system if used right. The crime scene itself was absolutely a mess, as the police did not wait for a medical examiner to check the bodies before dragging them out of the creek, which left them susceptible to the sun and insects. A few years after the teens had been convicted, it was noticed in the crime scene photos that one of the boys, Steve Branch, appeared to have bite marks on his forehead. The dental records from Echols, Baldwin and Misskelly did not match that of the photographs and John Mark Byers had his teeth removed before his dental records could be ... • 43. Skok Freedom Speech Dwight D. Eisenhower once said, Every step we take towards making the State our Caretaker of our lives, by that much we move toward making the State our Master. The First Amendment to the Unites States Constitution has been under much scrutiny and had much heat of late. Returning to its pure roots, National Socialist Party of America v. Village of Skokie describes how the U. S. Government must allow freedom speech, even if it is evil, to protect the democracy. When the National Socialist Party of America (NSPA), a professed Nazi group, applied for a permit to demonstrate in the highly Jewish city of Skokie, the town refused to grant the permit. NSPA took their case to the county court which granted them the ability to peacefully protest... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This case points back to the purpose of government. Dwight D. Eisenhower as did many Unites States presidents, stated countless times that a democracy can only stand with virtuous people as its citizens. If evil people fill the country, only a dictatorship can bring order. This case demonstrates that America is built upon allowing the free speech of controversial and opposing views. Limiting the rights of the NSPA would pave the way for other types of speech to be limited. My initial view was of course that anyone promoting Nazis views should not be allowed to march, especially considering the town s Jewish population. After further consideration, I realized that if the government has the ability to restrict Nazis protests, they have the ability to silence me if I am trying to share my faith with a Nazi and it offends them. If we give this power of limiting free speech to the government, they will basically be able to limit it however they so choose. If we allow the government to specifically certain types of speech, that power will invariably grow and power that is once tasted is not given back. We would most definitely loose freedom in other areas of speech. The speech, though I m sure it caused emotional distress, did not physically harm the citizens of the town. I do think that the banning of the swastika was appropriate. At popularly agreed times, it is not appropriate to demonstrate with the Confederate Flag or other symbols that can inferred with extreme ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Physical Therapists play a crucial role in their patient s overall health. However, the main goals of a Physical Therapist is to aid in recovery, rehab, increase range of motion, and reduce pain for their patients. During a normal work day, they will typically see a variety of patients whose age can range from an eight year old to an 85 year old, and each one with a challenging and unique health issue. These issues can be anything from a post surgical athlete trying to get back on the playing field to a 65 year old grandma who has hip and knee problems and needs exercises to strengthen those areas. In order for their patients to strengthen or rehabilitate a certain area, a treatment plan needs to be developed. Here, PT s select exercises, stretches, and other techniques which they think will help their patient s recovery process and get them back to normal. Therefore, treatment plans are one of the most important aspects of the job description. Although these Physical Therapists are medical professionals, they cannot include everything in their treatment plans. For example, they cannot perform surgery or give prescription medications because they are not technically specialized or fully qualified to do so. But instead, they can recommend their patient s to a doctor who can perform surgery on them or suggest a medication a Physician can prescribe to them. Typically, Physical Therapists ...
