17th Century Literature Throughout Europe
14th Century Literature in Europe The 14th century consisted of many different events, which then
lead to a rise in literary movements and influential writers. The writers and poets of medieval Europe
created their own tropes and themes throughout the entire history of the century. 14th century
literature is greatly impacted by many factors: historical, religious, aesthetic. The 14th century also
contained a mass of literary movements, often times coexisting with the aforementioned factors.
Historical Events and Context Peasants Revolt The Peasants Revolt was an aftermath of the Black
Death, which also greatly influenced literature and arts throughout its course. The Peasants Revolt
year 1381 significantly altered literature during the course of the 14th century. The Peasants Revolt
was unique in its significance because what is considered modern day England was the only medieval
society to have a peasants revolt (Swain). Naturally, such a huge uprising brings influence with it.
Besides the Bubonic Plague, another reason for the Peasants Revolt occurred due an expanding middle
class, which then in turn took land away from Nobles. This land crisis caused the Nobility to have an
upset, and they enacted a law to stop the Peasant Class from having social mobility. Like most societal
uprising, money was a huge factor. This new law included a poll tax, which heavily taxed the lower
class. Unfortunately, the Nobles made an error and based the tax on the population before

Prenatal And Early Postnatal Periods
Introduction
Season of Birth (SOB) is influenced during prenatal and early postnatal periods and is thought to
affect the brain resulting in various personality traits (Kazanteva et al., 2014). SOB may also affect a
person psychologically or physiologically, such as with sleep patterns and handedness (Dome et al.,
2010). Many of the research done on SOB define season base on the northern hemisphere as spring
(March to May), summer (June to August), autumn (September to November) and winter (December
to February) (Merriam Webster, 2015).
Some scientists postulate that SOB is also influenced by environmental factors, such amount of
sunlight exposed to the individual. Which SOB has been seen in some people with disorders, such as

base on their age, gender and income status.
There were a total of 631,911 individuals, 306,194 were male, and 325,717 were female. 5,047 of the
individuals had schizophrenia, 2,796 were male and 2,251 were female. All of the participants aged
from 21 to 60 years old. The age was divided into 10 years periods, from 1950 1959, 1960 1969, 1970
1979, and 1980 1989. Then the subgroups was divided into gender, and further into income status. The
income status was divided into low (USD 0 1007), medium (USD 1007 20,000), and high (USD
20,000).
The result showed a high in February and a low from June and July. However, overall there were not
any patterns that could be observed. There was a significant different was only in female participants
(P 0.00001). There was also a significant different in female and male participants who had
schizophrenia. Months of May, August, and November was high in male who had schizophrenia and
deficit in December. However, there was a different research that also focuses on SOB and
schizophrenia.
The experiment was done in Puerto Rico, with the temperatures ranging from low of 65Β°F to high of
78Β°F (Carrion Baralt et al., 2006). Some researchers thought that SOB was influence by temperature.

Essay on The American Revolution and the Formation of Bolivia
οƒ˜ Introduction
The American Revolution did much more than any of our founding fathers had ever imagined, it
started a movement that would threaten the very roots of colonialism across the globe. Setting an
example of how a David could overcome a Goliath, the United States inspired regions such as Latin
America to fight for their rights and liberties as well. One such region that embraced the message was
Upper Peru, which would later be known as Bolivia. With some key tipping points that caused the
war, the leaders of the soon to be formed nation rallied its troops and won several major battles, but
even they couldn t prevent the tough times that lay in the early years of the nation. From the year
1809, Upper Peru was engaged in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Simon Bolivar, who had a reputation of being a liberator, took center stage. The common folk began
to trust his words, as he talked about fighting for the resources that were theirs, ideals taken directly
from the American Revolution itself. Also with the power struggle created by the Napoleonic wars,
uprisings began. The most prominent of this movement was the uprising in Chuquisaca in 1809, which
led to the formation of the Government Juntas. This group focused on taking the power from the
Spanish and giving it to the people. Seeing the movement in Bolivia take shape, Latin Nations such as
Peru began to provide military support to Bolivian liberators. Surprisingly, America didn t live up to
its reputation, having no negative impact on this revolution. Normally, America had been notorious for
backing up the dictators or colonial powers and suppressing the Latin liberators. All in all, the
combination of a power struggle brought upon by foreign wars, introduction of revolutionary
independence ideals, proper leadership, and foreign aid, the Bolivian revolution was successful in
liberating the nation from Spanish Colonial power after 16 years of conflict.

Essay On Emily Davison
Civil disobedience is the act of going against the law and refusal to do what the government says. It is
very common in many countries all over the world. Henry David Thoreau wrote a book on civil
disobedience which is very good. He speaks on a lot of things that are wrong with the government and
the citizens. It was first published in 1889. There are so many acts of civil disobedience that are
interesting but this one catches a lot of people s eyes. It is the case of Emily Davison. She fought for
the rights of women to vote in the United Kingdom. Davison went to jail on many occasions. Emily
had a sad but interesting death that impacted a lot of people. Emily Davison was born on October 11,
1872 in Blackheath, London. Her parents were ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She got arrested plenty of more times. July 30, 1909 she was arrested for two months in prison for
obstruction. On September 4, 1909 she was arrested for two months for stone throwing at White City,
Manchester. October 20, 1909 she was in jail for a month for stone throwing at Radcliffe near
Manchester and on November 19, 1910 one month for breaking windows in the House of Commons.
She was arrested all of those times for throwing stones because her and other women would chain
themselves to government buildings and throw stones through the windows to gain their attention.
January 10, 1912 six months for setting fire to postal boxes at Holloway, London. Lastly on November
30, 1912 ten days for assaulting a vicar who she mistook to be David Lloyd George. Emily would do
all of this just to win the rights of women being able to vote and get equal rights as men.
Davison had a very interesting but tragic death. She died June 4, 1913 on a Wednesday. She got
injured at an horse race called the Epsom Derby. Emily was standing by the white rail near Tattenham
corner when a group of horses passed. She had on a trench coat and under it she had a flag in the
WSPU colors of purple, white, and green tied around her body. When the second group of horses
passed she climbed under the railing and raised her hands up. Emily tried to grab the rein of the King s
horse Anmer. Anmer knocked her over, rolled on his back, and started kicking her super hard. Horses

A Brief Note On Surface Water And Water
Surface water (waterways, streams, and lakes) covers almost 70% of the Earth s surface are the
principle wellsprings of water for mechanical, household, and watering system utilizes making it a
standout amongst the most vital players in the hydrologic and biogeochemical cycles. As critical as
these surface waters may be, just a little number are kept up and found in their normal condition
because of concentrated anthropogenic exercises, for example, urbanization and surface water
contamination, in this manner, making it an awesome natural issue on the planet everywhere (Zhao et
al., 2011). Frequently than not, these waterways and streams are profoundly powerless water bodies in
view of the part they play in carting away and taking in point (local wastewater and mechanical
release) and non point source (farming and urban spillover) contaminations (Carpenter et al., 1998).
Wastewater release from local and mechanical situations makes up a steady dirtying source, though
surface spillover from urbanized and farming situations are to a great extent affected by climatic
conditions inside a watershed (Singh et al., 2004). Regular variety in precipitation (downpour) and its
related surface overflow stream strongly affect surface water release and, in this manner, on the
centralization of toxins in waterways, streams and lakes (Booth, 1991, Vega et al., 1998). In view of
the confusions connected with corruption of waterways and streams, water quality masters and leaders

The Broad Museum Of Downtown Los Angeles

different styles of architecture. The Broad museum is a new kind of contemporary art museum Calling
it a gift to the people of Los Angeles, Eli and Edythe Broad donated millions of dollars to open The
Broad Museum in downtown Los Angeles. It stands next to the iconic Disney Concert Hall that is
designed by Frank Gehry and is the first major art museum that is free to. The public. The Broad is
designed by Diller Scofidio and Renfro in teamwork with Gensler. It is a first for the new York based
architect in this city, and one of the number of large new buildings for a firm that has built its
reputation with predominantly conceptual and theoretical projects recently .The architects, Diller,
Scofidio and Renfro, demonstrate the museum as consisting of three parts the vault, the veil, and the
exhibition spaces in between the two. The architecture highlights every painting and sculpture through
its use of veil, vault, and the exhibition spaces. Though it will continue to be controversial, many
architects will see the Broad Museum as the wave of future.
The concept of the veil and the vault in designing the broad is based on joining the two parts of the
building: one of them is public exhibition space and the other one is collection storage. Instead of
relegating the storage to secondary place, the vault, plays an important role in making the museum
experience from entry to exit.

An assumption according to the oxford dictionary is defined as A thing that is accepted as true or as
certain to happen, without proof. According to Brookfield Hegemonic assumptions are assumptions
that we think are in our own best interests but that actually work against us in the long term. (Stephen
D. Brookfield, 1995). Unfortunately, for teachers there are a lot of hegemonic assumptions out there
regarding the best strategies to deal with classroom management, student teacher relationship,
disciplinary actions etc. but for this report I am going to discuss the one which was most evident in my

In my learner autobiography I make reference to being nice, kind and understanding towards the
students, which I am still a strong believer of but one thing my experience as a teacher in Kinsale
Community School is the relationship you build with your students is absolutely vital for effective
teaching and learning to take place within the walls of the classroom. According to Kyriacou: A
relaxed warm and supportive ethos stems largely from the style and manner of the relationship you
establish with the pupils. Being relaxed yourself, and in particular dealing with any pupil
misbehaviour calmly helps pupils to relax too. This better enables pupils to develop curiosity and
interest in learning activities. (Kyriacou, 2007 page 69.) I would have remembering reading this quote
while preparing to go out on teaching practice and looking back on my experience now and using all
of Brookfield s lenses Learner autobiography, theory, peer observation and critical incident
questionnaires to reflect this is most definitely the biggest hegemonic assumption I took with me while
entering the classroom as a teacher in Kinsale Community School. As seen by my tutors and
cooperating teachers and by myself, which is evident in the peer observation done by my cooperating
teacher and in my tutor reports a very good relationship was built up with my students, too good in
fact. It became evident to my tutors straight away and although it took me longer to recognise, now

Research Paper On Ergonomics
1. Introduction
Ergonomics is an interdisciplinary field of study that seeks to design tools and equipment for
optimizing the interface between humans and systems [1]. Ergonomics is also known as the process of
understanding and improving human communications with types of products, equipment,
environments, and systems. Ergonomics principles are used to improve the fit between the worker and
the workplace. Targets for ergonomics improvement are divided into two broad categories which are
physical issues, such as reaches and exertion, and cognitive issues, such as mental overload and
confusing displays [2].
Many theories, principles, methods, and data relevant to the workstation design have been generated
through ergonomics research over the years. Poor workstation design can lead to fatigued, frustrated,
and hurting workers [3]. As a result, the productivity of the product and quality will decrease [4].
Often in an industry, the workstation is designed in an arbitrary manner [1], giving little consideration
to the anthropometric measurements of the anticipated user. Small changes in workstation dimension
can have a considerable impact on worker productivity, and occupational health and safety. Inadequate
posture from an improperly designed workstation causes static muscle efforts and then eventually
resulting in acute ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

A Project On Using New Technology
Introduction:
There is a manufacturing company of medium sized which is working on increasing the prototype
capability for its firm. The controversy is going in the selection process of the project among the two
proposed project to achieve the goal of the company. The first proposed project was based on the
traditional prototype used by the company. The project is tested and resulted with the low risk factor in
the priority for increasing the capability of the prototype for the firm. The project follows all the ethics
of the company and is based on according to the company s culture and structure. Therefore no
training program is required for the staff. The second project introduces new technique of 3D printing
to enhance the prototype with high speed. It minimizes the cost of the project. The requirement of this
project is a greater capital input. As the system is using new technology, therefore the training
program is required for the employees. The risk factor rises up with the introduction of new
prototyping system. If the new system is get successful then it will result with maximizing the profit
for the firm. As the consultant I will go through projects by exploring their assumptions, advantages
and disadvantages and then I will recommend the best project for the firm.

How Does Flaubert Inserts Savage Horse Behavior
In the novel Madame Bovary , the author, Gustave Flaubert inserts savage horse behavior within
characters decision making and actions to prepare the audience for the characters internal and external
outcome. Flaubert accomplishes the predicted finale of characters by including a horse trait or horse s
usage. Constantly throughout the book a horse is present, but Flaubert carefully plays with when and
where to connect a horse and character. Flaubert connects the two by giving a meaningless description
of either a character or scene that ironically comes with great value as a clue. With Flaubert s
technique of including horse trait foredows the downfall of the Bovary s life.
To begin with, the inclusion of untamed horses attempting to escape domestication foreshadows
Emma s future decisions to abandon her husband. On the night when the newlyweds had just gotten
married. The men, women and children were joining themselves while their horses stuffed up to the
nostrils with oats, could hardly be got into shafts, they kicked reared the hardness broke (Flaubert 19).
The description of the wild horses behavior demonstrates Emma s inner emotions on her wedding day.
It symbolizes Emma s cry for help, signifying the fact that Emma does not truly love Charles nor ...

Homophobia In Dude YouRe A Fag Pdg
This instability also transfers to the interpersonal relations between a teacher and their student. One
example with Pascoe gives to prove that homophobia permeates student teacher interactions, also
shows the vulnerability of teacher authority. Pascoe describes a conversation between two teachers;
Mr. Ford, the art teacher explains that one of his students, Huey, had flipped him off (2007, p. 36). In
response, Mr. Ford told him You should be doing that to girls, not to me (Pascoe, 2007, p. 36). Pascoe
understands this as Mr. Ford calling out Huey s masculinity, telling him that Huey s fuck you, which
Mr. Ford interpreted sexually in order to teach him a lesson, should be directed at girls (2007, p. 36).
This is a threat to Huey s masculinity because Mr. Ford is implying that Huey meant the gesture as a
sexual come on to another man. This is an example of the larger pattern of homophobia and
heteronormativity which Pascoe tries to lay out throughout Dude, You re a Fag. Again, I agree with
Pascoe, but believe that her analysis could go further. She argues that homophobia and heterosexual
norms permeate student teacher interactions, but fails to mention the teacher s position of authority as
a reason for this. In this example, Huey challenged Mr. Ford s authority by flipping him off. Then,
instead of causing a scene and losing the friendly student teacher rapport that Mr. Ford worked to
cultivate, Mr. Ford chose to minimize the situation by using a joke to enact

The Character of Clay in Amiri Baraka s The Dutchman
Clay is not naive. He may be misguided, misled, and mistaken, but he is anything but naive. Clay is an
individual who has shed the roots of his race, disregarding many of the cultural implications that such
a decision could have on him. He is a misguided individual who, because he is human, does the wrong
things at the wrong times for the wrong reasons. He continually struggles with his own identity and
the power struggle between him and Lula. The notion of power dynamics in The Dutchman is brought
forth in the character of Clay, who knows the limits of his power, takes the forbidden fruit from the
more powerful Lula, and fantasizes about his own life.

LULA. I was. But only after I d turned around and saw you staring through that window down in the

CLAY. Oh boy. Wow, now I admit I was looking in your direction. But the rest of that weight is yours.

Clay is timid in the dialogue, and he is somewhat taken aback or even embarrassed in the fourth line,
when he pauses. As one might expect, he is awkward and timid when approached by an individual
with a higher social status. Part of this is due to exterior appearances the fact that Lula is white
intimidates him. He doesn t totally deny staring at Lula, which could mean either that he was not
staring at her or simply that he did not want to admit it, fearful of the consequences. Like invisible
man s grandfather would want in Ellison s book, Clay is rarely confrontational with Lula. In this
instance, and in many others, he takes a more passive approach. In this case, Clay admits that he was
looking in Lula s direction.

Stamp Act Summary And Analysis
After the Seven Years War concluded, the mother country to the colonies, Great Britain, was left with
a tremendous debt. In order to pay this massive amount of money off, Parliament decided that rather
than just tax the home country of Great Britain, the colonies in the Americas needed to be taxed as
well. However, such taxes would not bode well with the colonist which led to more prevalent
resistance by the colonies. In response to resistance, Great Britain repealed the Stamp Act and in turn
released the Declaratory Act in attempts to show that British power in the colonies was absolute. After
the Stamp Act was passed, the colonist s congregated to pass resolutions regarding the Stamp Act, and
British Parliament responded with the Declaratory ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the new, young, and immature king came some doubts and insecurities as he ran through
ministers quite rapidly (Davidson, DeLay, Heyrman, Lytle, Stoff, 2015). This allowed Grenville to be
removed as first minister and replaced with an individual who was actually against this taxation of
colonials. Resistance and repeal also proved that virtual representation back in the colonies would not
stand, and there needed to be a new system in place. Even with the repeal of the Stamp Act and a
sense of victory, the British Empire was quick to accompany the repeal with another act. Parliament
passed the Declaratory Act, asserting that it had the power to make laws for the colonies in all cases
whatsoever (Davidson, DeLay, Heyrman, Lytle, Stoff, 2015). It didn t seem to bother the colonist,
though, as they still believed that the British Empire had no right to impose taxes on colonies in the
American and stood by that belief. The passing of the Stamp Act to pay for the debts of war waged not
by colonials, but rather the motherland surely would not stand for colonial. Consequently, opposition
to taxation of colonials, especially opposition to the taxation without virtual representation led to even
riots congregations. Succeeding in proving that the Stamp Act was unconstitutional led to Parliaments
repeal, but put greater pressure on the government to show they were, indeed, still the great power that
governed the colonies led to the Declaratory Act. Overall, these 3

Creating Homogeneous Ability Grouping
Background
Research into ability grouping has raised questions about the process of creating homogeneous ability
groups. Evidence suggests it is not uncommon for students to be placed in an inappropriate group for
their ability level (Ireson Hallam 1999; MacIntyre Ireson 2002, as cited in Muijs Dunne, 2010). Muijs
and Dunne (2010) uncovered during their research that middle bands and even the high band
contained students with low test scores. The findings of Muijs and Dunne (2010) suggest the process
in place to group students according to their ability is unreliable. Hallinan (2003) reported the process
teachers were taking was to group students by standardised test scores, prior achievement and the
recommendations of teachers and counselors. The benefit of homogeneous ability grouping is the
opportunity to provide students with differentiated instruction based on their ability level. The result
of heterogeneous ability groups created through the grouping process is one of many concerns. ...

Students in the low band can suffer self esteem issues, as well as negative impacts on their attitude and
motivation (Suknandan Lee as cited in Smith Sutherland, 2006). The negative impacts are greatly felt
by schools in low socioeconomic areas. These schools had higher enrolment numbers, with a larger
portion of minority students and a greater range of abilities (Nomi, 2009). The negative impacts on
students in the low band are likely to be due to the label placed on them. Lanzo (2011) conducted a
comparison research and discovered at risk students benefitted from being in heterogeneous ability
groups rather than homogeneous ability

BACKGROUND
United States Defense Department continues to develop and acquire systems which provide the
required capabilities to the war fighters. B 2 stealth bomber has unique wing configuration and stealth
technology. The structure of B 2 is similar to B 35 which was developed in 1940 s by Northrop. The
first B 2 was displayed publicly on November 22, 1988. Its flight was on July 17, 1989. This aircraft
got its full operational capability in Dec., 2003. The main contractor which is responsible for its

MANIC DEPRESSION
Estimates say that about 2 and a half million Americans suffer from manic depressive illness. Also
called bipolar disorder, this mental illness involves episodes in which a persons mood alternates
between extreme mania and depression. A person may experience pressure and racing thoughts and
speech, and often uncontrolled reckless behavior. Two thirds of those who suffer from bipolar illness

Certain things may happen thats out of their normal character like taking plane trips all over the
country or making large investments. Excessive gambling , buying very expensive items, abusing
alcohol or drugs, and making unwanted sexual advances.
Causes of manic depression seem to be rooted in the genes. Studies used on identical twin show that if
one twin has bipolar disorder its a 70% chance the other will have it too.
With fraternal twins its only a 15% chance that the other will have bipolar disorder.
Bipolar disorder seems to run in families. Personal or work related stress can trigger a manic episode.
Other factors such as prenatal development, childhood experiences, and social conditions can play a
huge role.
Some people enjoy the sensations and energies that accompany manic episodes. It is proven that very
mild cases of manic depression can actually attribute to success in business and arts. A person may
experience episodes of over confidence which may result in unfortunate consequences because of a
bad business venture. The milder, chronic form of bipolar illness is called cyclothymic disorder. This
form alternates between mild depression and mild mania. When someone is in the in the stage of a
euphoric episode, their behavior may seem a bit odd, or in some cases completely bizarre. They may

Street Art And Art Vandalism
Street Art; an endless debate on whether people should consider the form of art vandalism or a part of
the Fine Arts movement. Street Art (also known as Graffiti ) first appeared in the beginning of human
society and prehistoric times with inscriptions, hieroglyphics and figure drawings found in walls,
caves, and monuments from Egyptian times as well as ancient Rome. According to Wikipedia, this
form of expression can be defined as writings, paintings, drawings, symbols or scribbling on a surface
such as walls, pavements, monuments, and other public or private properties. A new developing art
form with a lot of controversy, Graffiti has grown and become known for the illegality behind the
making of the art. Many see Street Art and tend to attribute vandalism to the art form due to all the
negativity that has gone around in regards to Graffiti. Individuals who are part of the authority system
or close minded have the tendency to be the ones who believe that any form of art displayed on public
walls can be considered nothing more than vandalism, while those who see the artworks as a form of
Art are the ones who can see behind the illegality and are usually individuals who are open minded or
keen to all types of Art. Should individuals retire the negative thoughts and criminality behind Street
Art and finally recognize the form as a legitimate art form while leaving Graffiti out ?

In the modern world, many different events take place that cause people to believe that their rights are
being violated; consequently, they begin to protest. The reason people do this is to stand up for what
they believe is right.
The trend of standing up for what others believe has stormed across the nation for diverse reasons.
One of many examples of this situation includes the National Football League(NFL). Approximately
two years ago, quarterback Colin Kaepernick began to protest the national anthem due to his belief
that his rights and the rights of other african americans were being violated. Shortly after many other

The Analysis Of The 2007 Mineral And Mining Act Essay
Additionally, the Act limits the duration of contract and exploration rights to 25 years, renewable after
24 years upon a successful preservation of the standards, including environmental regulations stated
under the Act.
The analysis of the 2007 Mineral and Mining Act demonstrates that the excesses of the environmental
damage in the Niger Delta region did not emanate from inadequate legislation. The problem is an
ineffective implementation of the Act. As indicated in the first part of the paper, the Nigeria
government lacks the political will to implement the appropriate clauses important for the protection
of the Niger Delta s ecosystem because a significant percentage of the government expenditure comes
from revenues generated by oil corporations. The government s incapacity to implement the Mineral
and Mining Act results from a fear that strict adherence to the Act might dwindle national revenue,
and constrains budget. While this fear is a genuine one, it can however be partly addressed by a
diversification of the national economy, from oil based to include other sectors of the economy.
Diversify the Economy
There is a causality between lack of economic diversification and high levels of vulnerability. This is
the case in Nigeria as the oil sector contributes more than half to the country s GDP, yet, it only
provides employment to les than 5 percent of the country s teeming population. Over reliance on oil
does not destroy Delta s ecosystem, but also

Dividend policy is the regulations and guidelines that a company uses to decide to make dividend
payments to shareholders. Dividends are payments made to stockholders from a firm s earnings,
whether those earnings were generated in the current period or in previous periods. When a company
makes a profit, they must decide on what to do with those profits. They could continue to retain the
profits within the company, or they could pay out the profits to the owners of the firm in the form of
dividends. Once the company decides on whether to pay dividends, they may establish a dividend

As they travel to sea they will encounter many dams, fishermen, bears, waterfalls, bigger fish than
them, they would have to overcome all of these to reach the sea. As they reach the sea, they spend
most of their lives there as, they mature enough they will find someone to spawn with and swim back
to the river. Most salmon die when they reproduce and the whole cycle starts again.
Damns impact salmon because it changes the river flow, and the water temperature rises, if salon can t
get back to spawning the salmon population will dramatically decrease. That s why there s fish
ladders, some people call them or refer them as fish passage or fishways. Fish ladders come in handy
because it provides a route for salmon to migrate so they could go over or around the damn that s

Syntax Of Syntax In Hamlet
In Act 2, Scene 2 of Hamlet, Shakespeare creates an image of Hamlet by using syntax to reveal his
state of mind. In this soliloquy, it is revealed that Hamlet not only is on the verge of insanity, but he
also has reason. Previous to this soliloquy, Hamlet finds out that his uncle, Claudius, kills his father
and then marries his mother afterwards. This betrayal of his family, mixed with the visits by his father
s ghost, guides Hamlet towards seeking revenge. The manner in which the words are organized and
the sentences are structured is called syntax. Throughout this soliloquy, Shakespeare uses syntax to
allow for the audience to see inside Hamlet s head. For example, in the beginning, Hamlet is furious,
and his words show it. His sentences are long and confused, followed by short bursts of anger and
refusal. Hamlet is jealous that a player can act out his emotions, but that he himself is suffering to seek
revenge. The series of questions throughout the whole play help the reader to understand that Hamlet
does not fully believe in his cause. By not believing, but still acting on his duty, suggests that Hamlet
is perhaps going insane. If there is no truth in the ghost s accusations, Hamlet is planning to kill his
uncle just for fun. The visit by his father s ghost, though, has reasonable doubt to Hamlet, as he feels
that it may just be the devil trying to create his downfall. In lines 543, the reader sees that Hamlet feels
he is a coward. Since Hamlet asks, Am I a

Why Is Mary Lincoln Insane
Many know Mary Todd Lincoln as Abraham Lincoln s wife who is considered to be crazy, or insane.
However, many who know and study Mary Lincoln s background, are more sympathetic to her mental
state, and try to find the truth behind her present, or not present mental illness. It is a debate still
argued over today with many historians whether or not she was insane enough to be sent to an asylum
like she was forced to do. Since there is no possible way to study her mental state presently, historians
rely on letters, stories, texts, and present day medical knowledge in order to form their most accurate
conclusion of Mary Lincoln s mental state. Their conclusions widely differ; however, most historians
do agree that Mary Todd Lincoln s childhood, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, historians do disagree on the level of mental instability this would have caused her to
endure. The historians that argue that Mary Lincoln was not insane, but was suffering emotional
trauma, consider Mary Lincoln to be narcissistic, or just emotionally unstable instead of mentally.
Historian Jean Baker is one who argues this point of view. She stresses the deaths throughout Mary s
life, and the psychological importance they have in her emotional behavior. After the death of her
mother, Mary would always view death as an abandonment of a loved one. Mary felt she was unloved
and abandoned by her family when they passed away. She diagnoses Mary Lincoln with narcissism.
Baker goes on to argue that during the Victorian era, marriage and childbearing were signs of a
complete woman, but if a woman failed at this, or had a child die, then society has reason to look
down on the woman as not fulfilling her duty. Therefore, Mary also had the world to view and judge
her behavior, adding to the pressure she was already under. When her son, Robert, brought her to trial
for lunacy, Baker points out that even the lawyer Robert chose to represent Mary tried to back out
because he had his own doubts about her accused insanity. Baker feels that a broken heart is not a
broken mind. Historians Justin and Linda Turner also argue this approach. They look back to Mary s
childhood, and rely on Dr. W.A. Evan s analysis of how the death of Mary s mother, at such a young
age, was a traumatic experience for her. He says she was most likely over indulged after this event,
and then later on she was denied proper training in areas such as patience, because of the overcrowded
home she was living in. The Turners use Mary s own letters to, in a sense, let her speak for herself.

Agency revenues are about 70% of Priceline s total revenues. They are derived from travel related

media representation with special emphasis on how these formations relate to and affect the public and
politics.
The nature of our research is such that we are going to use a multitheoretical approach. Space does not
permit to review all the work done on this matter, but we have selected various key perspectives
needed for understanding the mechanisms of framing and media bias in the reporting of protest events.
We briefly review the more relevant perspectives that have guided our assessment of the evidence and
that were endorsed in our findings.
Protest logic and mediation opportunity structure
Various Studies have showed that media display an inherent bias against social protests, reflecting
elite interests, primarily by focusing on incidents of violence rather than on the message these protest
groups try to convey. Eldridge argues that what is being presented as neutral reporting is in fact an
array of codes and practices which effectively rest upon a cultural imperative to hear the causes of
disputes in one way rather than another , meaning that Media are not neutral unselective recorders of
events (Oliver and Maney, 2000: 464) Mainstream media predominantly tend to focus on violence and
on the spectacular rather than on the message being conveyed . Protest groups

Horses Run Wild Persuasive Speech
Solar flares are destroying the planet and a little boy with horse hooves for his hands and feet.
This month s column interesting dreams for the end of the world and someone helping a little boy
whose hands and feet are shaped like horse hooves have quite a few interpretations.
Dream
I had a dream last night that I arrived at a house to help someone. A lady answered the door, who
looked very tired and troubled. She walked me to the back of the home, where there was a boy about
12 years old, he had horse hooves for his hands and feet. The lady left, the boy was communicating
with me, but not through words he said. He was tired of trying to make his mom understand that he is
not helpless. The boy had dark hair and was very troubled. Can anyone ... Show more content on

Horses run wild and free, which is showing you that you or someone in your life needs more freedom
to be themselves.
2. If you have a son, nephew, or any relationship with a young boy; this dream is letting you know that
you need to stop stifling him and allow him to run free.
3. There is someone in your life with male energy who has some kind of physical, mental, or
emotional, handicapped; however, they have the capacity to take care of themselves.
4. This could be your inner male communicating to you that you need to become in touch with the
masculine side of you. The horse hooves are symbolic for you not being comfortable with your male
within.
5. Someone who you are trying to aid is feeling smother by you, your inner female, or another female
relative. Allow this person to fend for themselves.
6. Lastly, you are the tired woman who is holding back; therefore, you need more freedom in your life.
Please observe what is occurring in your life to determine which interpretation fits best.
Dream
Had this funny dream last night. The sun exploded and we saw these massive solar flares on the
horizon at night like a crazy last sunrise. People were going nuts, partying because there really was no
tomorrow, but these humanitarian groups were going around passing out sunscreen and Mylar
blankets. I looked at them like, Are you crazy?! No one is going to survive this free aloe vera gel?
Sure, I ll take some. I burn

PSA Sexual Assault Awareness
PSA s are designed to create awareness for vital social issues in an attempt to achieve positive social
change from the public (Lundgren McMakin, 2013, p. 221). The public service announcement that I
have chosen to examine is in regards to domestic violence and sexual assault awareness. It was
originally produced in 2015 during the Super Bowl commercials and an organization titled NO MORE
presented the advertisement. With this kind of PSA people have the ability to become aware of the
ways to get help when they are not necessarily in the position to.
On the phone, the women inquired about ordering a pizza to the 911 dispatcher. However, with some
probing questions the dispatcher was able to decipher that there was a true emergency and that the
women was in fact not accidentally calling about a pizza. In fact, ... Show more content on

This revealed that people need to listen out for and be aware of the signs when someone s safety is in
jeopardy. As well as provide them with the knowledge of the possible signs to look out for when
someone is being battered.
Additionally, the PSA appealed to both victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and to those
that may be uneducated about the topic. It shows people that you can get help in a challenging
situation or even help someone else by simply reading between the lines. The women who initiated the
call had variation in both her responses and the rapidness within them. This signaled that she was not
in the position to have a long conversation and that she needed a safe haven right away.
Learning how to communicate something successfully is just as important as it is to decipher it. Given
these points, it is especially important to pay attention to what the author is trying to convey with
crisis communication to assist in protecting the situation or the individual as best as one

Sharon Harris Reaction Paper
In the event of a mass casualty incident, say a hypothetical incident at the Sharon Harris nuclear
facility, there will be a variety of responding parties from local fire and rescue, to the North Carolina
Emergency Management office in Raleigh, to federal assets to including the Nuclear Regulatory
Commission and the military. Finally the private sector will also be involved such as local businesses
and hotels for shelters.
In this hypothetical incident at the Sharon Harris nuclear facility, there is a fire reported in the turbine
room. Sharon Harris has their own fire department on site which will be the first due engine at the fire,
backed up by the Holly Springs and Fuquay Varina fire departments. At this time the onsite fire
department has determined that there was an accidental radiological release. This information is then
passed up the chain of command to Progress Energy the owners of Sharon Harris; and Progress
Energy will activate their emergency action plans. Progress Energy s plans includes staff putting on
the proper personal protective equipment, contacting the North Carolina Regional hazardous material
team in Raleigh, contacting and activating the North Carolina ... Show more content on

Wicca s Role In Pagan Religion
Virtually everyone has heard of Christianity, Islam and Judaism. But among the three religions that are
close to being tied for fourth place in the United States, almost everyone has heard of Buddhism and
Hinduism. If you mention Wicca to the average American, you will probably receive a blank stare. A
major reason for this is that many Wiccans tend to keep their religion secret; they fear physical and
economic attack.(http://www.religioustolerance.org/wic_prac.htm)
So with that being said, what exactly is wicca and why is it important? Wica is the basic belief where
individuals have the ability to follow their own inspiration and vision while seeking faith.
In order to fully grasp wicca, the understanding of the Pagan religion is highly recommend.
Pagan religion are characterized by the importance of nature to its followers. It is also important to
note that s pagans worship any Gods, so classifying ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In most religions around the world, women were stuck in the patriarchal system in religion. Women
had a specific role in religion, where they were not allowed to achieve much higher status of control or
power within the religion. Wicca on the other hand valued women, and the idea of creating new life. It
is said that a women can control a race, whether it s, financially, economically, or physically, women
were the importance of the religion.
As wicca began to spread throughout Europe, it attracted many different types of cultures. Since no
one cultures was identical it was incredible that wicca attracted a variety of people. Wicca unlike
anything Europen was use to, was very accepting. Wicca accepted those of every faith including,
monotheistic, polytheistic, ritualistic, feminine based, masculine based, and more. Any practiced no
matter what it was or origin was accepted by the wicca people. That being said the ancient tradition of
wicca is still practiced

Dietary Guidelines For The 2015 Community Health Needs...
When it comes to fruit and vegetable, accessibility and affordability are not the only factors that play a
role if someone will consume them. This can be depicted in the 2015 Community Health Needs
Assessment where of those who were surveyed, only 36.8% of adults in the medium to high income
level reported consuming the recommended daily fruit and vegetable intake. In the USDA s recently
released 2015 2020 dietary guidelines for Americans, the guidelines suggest that individual factors
such as knowledge, skills and personal preferences can also have an impact on if someone will eat
more fruits and vegetables (USDA, 2016). At some point in our lives, we are all taught that we should
eat fruits and vegetables because they are good for us. However, for some individuals, this is as far as
the education on the topic goes. Having a true understanding of why we need to eat fruits and
vegetables, what to look for when we go to buy them, how to store them when you bring them home,
and how to go about preparing them while keeping the nutritional benefits in tact are topics that can
help enhance an individual s likeliness to eat fruits and vegetables more regularly. In an effort to
increase knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding fruits and vegetables, local health departments,
health systems, community centers, and other local affiliates would come together to create a
Community Nutrition Education Program. This program would comprise of registered dietitians,
nutritionists, and

The Life Of Saint Paul s Name After The Conversion Of...
Saint Paul s name before his conversion to Christianity was Saul, an individual who devoted his life to
the persecution of Christians and early disciples in Jerusalem. He was a Hebrew from the tribe of
Benjamin, a Pharisee, and someone who is very literate in Judaism faith as well. He was born into a
devout Jewish family in Tarsus of Cilicia, hence known as Saul of Tarsus, one of the major trade
centers on the Mediterranean Coast in present day Turkey. During his early life, he was sent to
Jerusalem to receive his education in classical literature, philosophy, law, and ethics under Rabbi
Gamaliel. Saul s early profession was tent making, which eventually became the initial connection
with Priscilla and Aquila whom he partnered with and became vital mates as missionaries .
Furthermore, he took an active part in the martyrdom of Saint Stephen, first martyr and deacon, by
giving his approval and guarding the clothes of those who were killing him . Following his approval
of the mob s murderous actions, Saul ravaged the church, entering the homes of believers, committing
them to prison, and even locking up female believers.
On his way to Damascus from Jerusalem to further his persecution against Christians, Jesus appeared
to him in a great light, he fell on the ground, and heard a powerful voice that said unto him, Saul, Saul,
why do you persecute me ? Thus, according to the accounts in the book of Acts, Saint Paul s
conversion took place on the road to Damascus, where he

Time and the Influence of Society Can Thwart the Path of...
It is a universal truth that the human being needs companionship in some form or stage in their
existence.
For many this companionship is seen to be true love or one s perception of what true love is.
Time often plays a vital role in the success of relationships.
Using Jane Austen s Pride and Prejudice, Shakespeare s sonnets and John Green s The Fault in Our
Stars, I am going to show how the concept of time and the influence of society can sometimes thwart
the path of true romance.
In Jane Austen s novel Pride and Prejudice during Darcy s declaration of love to Elizabeth his sense of
her inferiority of it s being degradation of the family obstacles...were dwelt on However he continues
to the talk about Strength of that attachment which in spite all of his endeavours he found it
impossible to conquer . Austen shows that despite the many objections Mr Darcy has to loving
Elizabeth such as her inferior social status which he tries many endeavours to conquer his love for her
in the end he has given into the fact that he loves her and is willing to become oblivious to his own
objections. Here Austen is making a valid point that love comes across more powerful than any other
feeling. Whether that feeling is pride, fear or judgement. It is most evident when Darcy announces in
vain I have struggled. It will not do, my feelings will not be repressed, you must allow me to tell you
how ardently I admire and love you This is in comparison to sonnet 130 when the

  • 2. 17th Century Literature Throughout Europe 14th Century Literature in Europe The 14th century consisted of many different events, which then lead to a rise in literary movements and influential writers. The writers and poets of medieval Europe created their own tropes and themes throughout the entire history of the century. 14th century literature is greatly impacted by many factors: historical, religious, aesthetic. The 14th century also contained a mass of literary movements, often times coexisting with the aforementioned factors. Historical Events and Context Peasants Revolt The Peasants Revolt was an aftermath of the Black Death, which also greatly influenced literature and arts throughout its course. The Peasants Revolt year 1381 significantly altered literature during the course of the 14th century. The Peasants Revolt was unique in its significance because what is considered modern day England was the only medieval society to have a peasants revolt (Swain). Naturally, such a huge uprising brings influence with it. Besides the Bubonic Plague, another reason for the Peasants Revolt occurred due an expanding middle class, which then in turn took land away from Nobles. This land crisis caused the Nobility to have an upset, and they enacted a law to stop the Peasant Class from having social mobility. Like most societal uprising, money was a huge factor. This new law included a poll tax, which heavily taxed the lower class. Unfortunately, the Nobles made an error and based the tax on the population before ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Prenatal And Early Postnatal Periods Introduction Season of Birth (SOB) is influenced during prenatal and early postnatal periods and is thought to affect the brain resulting in various personality traits (Kazanteva et al., 2014). SOB may also affect a person psychologically or physiologically, such as with sleep patterns and handedness (Dome et al., 2010). Many of the research done on SOB define season base on the northern hemisphere as spring (March to May), summer (June to August), autumn (September to November) and winter (December to February) (Merriam Webster, 2015). Essay on The American Revolution and the Formation of Bolivia οƒ˜ Introduction The American Revolution did much more than any of our founding fathers had ever imagined, it started a movement that would threaten the very roots of colonialism across the globe. Setting an example of how a David could overcome a Goliath, the United States inspired regions such as Latin America to fight for their rights and liberties as well. One such region that embraced the message was Upper Peru, which would later be known as Bolivia. With some key tipping points that caused the war, the leaders of the soon to be formed nation rallied its troops and won several major battles, but even they couldn t prevent the tough times that lay in the early years of the nation. The common folk began to trust his words, as he talked about fighting for the resources that were theirs, ideals taken directly from the American Revolution itself. Also with the power struggle created by the Napoleonic wars, uprisings began. The most prominent of this movement was the uprising in Chuquisaca in 1809, which led to the formation of the Government Juntas. This group focused on taking the power from the Spanish and giving it to the people. Seeing the movement in Bolivia take shape, Latin Nations such as Peru began to provide military support to Bolivian liberators. Surprisingly, America didn t live up to its reputation, having no negative impact on this revolution. Normally, America had been notorious for backing up the dictators or colonial powers and suppressing the Latin liberators. All in all, the combination of a power struggle brought upon by foreign wars, introduction of revolutionary independence ideals, proper leadership, and foreign aid, the Bolivian revolution was successful in liberating the nation from Spanish Colonial power after 16 years of conflict. οƒ˜ Leaders o Simon Bolivar ( July 24th, 1783 Dec 17th, 1830) SimΓ³n JosΓ© Antonio de la SantΓsima Trinidad BolΓvar, or more commonly known as Simon Bolivar The Liberator, was born in Caracas, Venezuela (Lynch, 2007, p.25). The architecture highlights every painting and sculpture through its use of veil, vault, and the exhibition spaces. Though it will continue to be controversial, many architects will see the Broad Museum as the wave of future. The concept of the veil and the vault in designing the broad is based on joining the two parts of the building: one of them is public exhibition space and the other one is collection storage. • 9. Research Paper On Ergonomics 1. Introduction Ergonomics is an interdisciplinary field of study that seeks to design tools and equipment for optimizing the interface between humans and systems [1]. Ergonomics is also known as the process of understanding and improving human communications with types of products, equipment, environments, and systems. Ergonomics principles are used to improve the fit between the worker and the workplace. Targets for ergonomics improvement are divided into two broad categories which are physical issues, such as reaches and exertion, and cognitive issues, such as mental overload and confusing displays [2]. Many theories, principles, methods, and data relevant to the workstation design have been generated through ergonomics research over the years. Poor workstation design can lead to fatigued, frustrated, and hurting workers [3]. As a result, the productivity of the product and quality will decrease [4]. Often in an industry, the workstation is designed in an arbitrary manner [1], giving little consideration to the anthropometric measurements of the anticipated user. Small changes in workstation dimension can have a considerable impact on worker productivity, and occupational health and safety. • 11. How Does Flaubert Inserts Savage Horse Behavior In the novel Madame Bovary , the author, Gustave Flaubert inserts savage horse behavior within characters decision making and actions to prepare the audience for the characters internal and external outcome. Flaubert accomplishes the predicted finale of characters by including a horse trait or horse s usage. Constantly throughout the book a horse is present, but Flaubert carefully plays with when and where to connect a horse and character. Flaubert connects the two by giving a meaningless description of either a character or scene that ironically comes with great value as a clue. With Flaubert s technique of including horse trait foredows the downfall of the Bovary s life. To begin with, the inclusion of untamed horses attempting to escape domestication foreshadows Emma s future decisions to abandon her husband. On the night when the newlyweds had just gotten married. The men, women and children were joining themselves while their horses stuffed up to the nostrils with oats, could hardly be got into shafts, they kicked reared the hardness broke (Flaubert 19). • 12. Homophobia In Dude YouRe A Fag Pdg This instability also transfers to the interpersonal relations between a teacher and their student. One example with Pascoe gives to prove that homophobia permeates student teacher interactions, also shows the vulnerability of teacher authority. Pascoe describes a conversation between two teachers; Mr. Ford, the art teacher explains that one of his students, Huey, had flipped him off (2007, p. 36). In response, Mr. Ford told him You should be doing that to girls, not to me (Pascoe, 2007, p. 36). Pascoe understands this as Mr. Ford calling out Huey s masculinity, telling him that Huey s fuck you, which Mr. Ford interpreted sexually in order to teach him a lesson, should be directed at girls (2007, p. 36). This is a threat to Huey s masculinity because Mr. Ford is implying that Huey meant the gesture as a sexual come on to another man. This is an example of the larger pattern of homophobia and heteronormativity which Pascoe tries to lay out throughout Dude, You re a Fag. Again, I agree with Pascoe, but believe that her analysis could go further. She argues that homophobia and heterosexual norms permeate student teacher interactions, but fails to mention the teacher s position of authority as a reason for this. In this example, Huey challenged Mr. Ford s authority by flipping him off. Then, instead of causing a scene and losing the friendly student teacher rapport that Mr. Ford worked to cultivate, Mr. Ford chose to minimize the situation by using a joke to enact ... In order to pay this massive amount of money off, Parliament decided that rather than just tax the home country of Great Britain, the colonies in the Americas needed to be taxed as well. However, such taxes would not bode well with the colonist which led to more prevalent resistance by the colonies. In response to resistance, Great Britain repealed the Stamp Act and in turn released the Declaratory Act in attempts to show that British power in the colonies was absolute. With the new, young, and immature king came some doubts and insecurities as he ran through ministers quite rapidly (Davidson, DeLay, Heyrman, Lytle, Stoff, 2015). This allowed Grenville to be removed as first minister and replaced with an individual who was actually against this taxation of colonials. Resistance and repeal also proved that virtual representation back in the colonies would not stand, and there needed to be a new system in place. Even with the repeal of the Stamp Act and a sense of victory, the British Empire was quick to accompany the repeal with another act. Parliament passed the Declaratory Act, asserting that it had the power to make laws for the colonies in all cases whatsoever (Davidson, DeLay, Heyrman, Lytle, Stoff, 2015). It didn t seem to bother the colonist, though, as they still believed that the British Empire had no right to impose taxes on colonies in the American and stood by that belief. The passing of the Stamp Act to pay for the debts of war waged not by colonials, but rather the motherland surely would not stand for colonial. Consequently, opposition to taxation of colonials, especially opposition to the taxation without virtual representation led to even riots congregations. Succeeding in proving that the Stamp Act was unconstitutional led to Parliaments repeal, but put greater pressure on the government to show they were, indeed, still the great power that governed the colonies led to the Declaratory Act. • 17. Creating Homogeneous Ability Grouping Background Research into ability grouping has raised questions about the process of creating homogeneous ability groups. Evidence suggests it is not uncommon for students to be placed in an inappropriate group for their ability level (Ireson Hallam 1999; MacIntyre Ireson 2002, as cited in Muijs Dunne, 2010). Muijs and Dunne (2010) uncovered during their research that middle bands and even the high band contained students with low test scores. The findings of Muijs and Dunne (2010) suggest the process in place to group students according to their ability is unreliable. Hallinan (2003) reported the process teachers were taking was to group students by standardised test scores, prior achievement and the recommendations of teachers and counselors. The benefit of homogeneous ability grouping is the opportunity to provide students with differentiated instruction based on their ability level. The result of heterogeneous ability groups created through the grouping process is one of many concerns. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 20. Street Art And Art Vandalism Street Art; an endless debate on whether people should consider the form of art vandalism or a part of the Fine Arts movement. Street Art (also known as Graffiti ) first appeared in the beginning of human society and prehistoric times with inscriptions, hieroglyphics and figure drawings found in walls, caves, and monuments from Egyptian times as well as ancient Rome. According to Wikipedia, this form of expression can be defined as writings, paintings, drawings, symbols or scribbling on a surface such as walls, pavements, monuments, and other public or private properties. A new developing art form with a lot of controversy, Graffiti has grown and become known for the illegality behind the making of the art. Many see Street Art and tend to attribute vandalism to the art form due to all the negativity that has gone around in regards to Graffiti. Individuals who are part of the authority system or close minded have the tendency to be the ones who believe that any form of art displayed on public walls can be considered nothing more than vandalism, while those who see the artworks as a form of Art are the ones who can see behind the illegality and are usually individuals who are open minded or keen to all types of Art. Should individuals retire the negative thoughts and criminality behind Street Art and finally recognize the form as a legitimate art form while leaving Graffiti out ? The Analysis Of The 2007 Mineral And Mining Act Essay Additionally, the Act limits the duration of contract and exploration rights to 25 years, renewable after 24 years upon a successful preservation of the standards, including environmental regulations stated under the Act. The analysis of the 2007 Mineral and Mining Act demonstrates that the excesses of the environmental damage in the Niger Delta region did not emanate from inadequate legislation. The problem is an ineffective implementation of the Act. As indicated in the first part of the paper, the Nigeria government lacks the political will to implement the appropriate clauses important for the protection of the Niger Delta s ecosystem because a significant percentage of the government expenditure comes from revenues generated by oil corporations. The government s incapacity to implement the Mineral and Mining Act results from a fear that strict adherence to the Act might dwindle national revenue, and constrains budget. While this fear is a genuine one, it can however be partly addressed by a diversification of the national economy, from oil based to include other sectors of the economy. Diversify the Economy There is a causality between lack of economic diversification and high levels of vulnerability. This is the case in Nigeria as the oil sector contributes more than half to the country s GDP, yet, it only provides employment to les than 5 percent of the country s teeming population. • 27. Syntax Of Syntax In Hamlet In Act 2, Scene 2 of Hamlet, Shakespeare creates an image of Hamlet by using syntax to reveal his state of mind. In this soliloquy, it is revealed that Hamlet not only is on the verge of insanity, but he also has reason. Previous to this soliloquy, Hamlet finds out that his uncle, Claudius, kills his father and then marries his mother afterwards. This betrayal of his family, mixed with the visits by his father s ghost, guides Hamlet towards seeking revenge. The manner in which the words are organized and the sentences are structured is called syntax. Throughout this soliloquy, Shakespeare uses syntax to allow for the audience to see inside Hamlet s head. For example, in the beginning, Hamlet is furious, and his words show it. His sentences are long and confused, followed by short bursts of anger and refusal. Hamlet is jealous that a player can act out his emotions, but that he himself is suffering to seek revenge. The series of questions throughout the whole play help the reader to understand that Hamlet does not fully believe in his cause. By not believing, but still acting on his duty, suggests that Hamlet is perhaps going insane. If there is no truth in the ghost s accusations, Hamlet is planning to kill his uncle just for fun. The visit by his father s ghost, though, has reasonable doubt to Hamlet, as he feels that it may just be the devil trying to create his downfall. In lines 543, the reader sees that Hamlet feels he is a coward. Since Hamlet asks, Am I a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is a debate still argued over today with many historians whether or not she was insane enough to be sent to an asylum like she was forced to do. However, historians do disagree on the level of mental instability this would have caused her to endure. The historians that argue that Mary Lincoln was not insane, but was suffering emotional trauma, consider Mary Lincoln to be narcissistic, or just emotionally unstable instead of mentally. Historian Jean Baker is one who argues this point of view. She stresses the deaths throughout Mary s life, and the psychological importance they have in her emotional behavior. After the death of her mother, Mary would always view death as an abandonment of a loved one. Mary felt she was unloved and abandoned by her family when they passed away. She diagnoses Mary Lincoln with narcissism. Baker goes on to argue that during the Victorian era, marriage and childbearing were signs of a complete woman, but if a woman failed at this, or had a child die, then society has reason to look down on the woman as not fulfilling her duty. Therefore, Mary also had the world to view and judge her behavior, adding to the pressure she was already under. When her son, Robert, brought her to trial for lunacy, Baker points out that even the lawyer Robert chose to represent Mary tried to back out because he had his own doubts about her accused insanity. Baker feels that a broken heart is not a broken mind. Historians Justin and Linda Turner also argue this approach. They look back to Mary s childhood, and rely on Dr. W.A. Evan s analysis of how the death of Mary s mother, at such a young age, was a traumatic experience for her. He says she was most likely over indulged after this event, and then later on she was denied proper training in areas such as patience, because of the overcrowded home she was living in. • 41. Social Media and Social Protest A growing body of literature examines the relationship between environmental protest and news media representation with special emphasis on how these formations relate to and affect the public and politics. The nature of our research is such that we are going to use a multitheoretical approach. Space does not permit to review all the work done on this matter, but we have selected various key perspectives needed for understanding the mechanisms of framing and media bias in the reporting of protest events. We briefly review the more relevant perspectives that have guided our assessment of the evidence and that were endorsed in our findings. Protest logic and mediation opportunity structure Various Studies have showed that media display an inherent bias against social protests, reflecting elite interests, primarily by focusing on incidents of violence rather than on the message these protest groups try to convey. Eldridge argues that what is being presented as neutral reporting is in fact an array of codes and practices which effectively rest upon a cultural imperative to hear the causes of disputes in one way rather than another , meaning that Media are not neutral unselective recorders of events (Oliver and Maney, 2000: 464) Mainstream media predominantly tend to focus on violence and on the spectacular rather than on the message being conveyed . The public service announcement that I have chosen to examine is in regards to domestic violence and sexual assault awareness. It was originally produced in 2015 during the Super Bowl commercials and an organization titled NO MORE presented the advertisement. With this kind of PSA people have the ability to become aware of the ways to get help when they are not necessarily in the position to. On the phone, the women inquired about ordering a pizza to the 911 dispatcher. However, with some probing questions the dispatcher was able to decipher that there was a true emergency and that the women was in fact not accidentally calling about a pizza. In fact, ... As well as provide them with the knowledge of the possible signs to look out for when someone is being battered. It shows people that you can get help in a challenging situation or even help someone else by simply reading between the lines. The women who initiated the call had variation in both her responses and the rapidness within them. This signaled that she was not in the position to have a long conversation and that she needed a safe haven right away. • 46. Dietary Guidelines For The 2015 Community Health Needs... When it comes to fruit and vegetable, accessibility and affordability are not the only factors that play a role if someone will consume them. This can be depicted in the 2015 Community Health Needs Assessment where of those who were surveyed, only 36.8% of adults in the medium to high income level reported consuming the recommended daily fruit and vegetable intake. In the USDA s recently released 2015 2020 dietary guidelines for Americans, the guidelines suggest that individual factors such as knowledge, skills and personal preferences can also have an impact on if someone will eat more fruits and vegetables (USDA, 2016). At some point in our lives, we are all taught that we should eat fruits and vegetables because they are good for us. However, for some individuals, this is as far as the education on the topic goes. Having a true understanding of why we need to eat fruits and vegetables, what to look for when we go to buy them, how to store them when you bring them home, and how to go about preparing them while keeping the nutritional benefits in tact are topics that can help enhance an individual s likeliness to eat fruits and vegetables more regularly. He was born into a devout Jewish family in Tarsus of Cilicia, hence known as Saul of Tarsus, one of the major trade centers on the Mediterranean Coast in present day Turkey. During his early life, he was sent to Jerusalem to receive his education in classical literature, philosophy, law, and ethics under Rabbi Gamaliel. Saul s early profession was tent making, which eventually became the initial connection with Priscilla and Aquila whom he partnered with and became vital mates as missionaries . Furthermore, he took an active part in the martyrdom of Saint Stephen, first martyr and deacon, by giving his approval and guarding the clothes of those who were killing him . Following his approval of the mob s murderous actions, Saul ravaged the church, entering the homes of believers, committing them to prison, and even locking up female believers. On his way to Damascus from Jerusalem to further his persecution against Christians, Jesus appeared to him in a great light, he fell on the ground, and heard a powerful voice that said unto him, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me ? • 48. Time and the Influence of Society Can Thwart the Path of... It is a universal truth that the human being needs companionship in some form or stage in their existence. For many this companionship is seen to be true love or one s perception of what true love is. Time often plays a vital role in the success of relationships. Using Jane Austen s Pride and Prejudice, Shakespeare s sonnets and John Green s The Fault in Our Stars, I am going to show how the concept of time and the influence of society can sometimes thwart the path of true romance. In Jane Austen s novel Pride and Prejudice during Darcy s declaration of love to Elizabeth his sense of her inferiority of it s being degradation of the family obstacles...were dwelt on However he continues to the talk about Strength of that attachment which in spite all of his endeavours he found it impossible to conquer . Austen shows that despite the many objections Mr Darcy has to loving Elizabeth such as her inferior social status which he tries many endeavours to conquer his love for her in the end he has given into the fact that he loves her and is willing to become oblivious to his own objections. Here Austen is making a valid point that love comes across more powerful than any other feeling. Whether that feeling is pride, fear or judgement. It is most evident when Darcy announces in vain I have struggled. It will not do, my feelings will not be repressed, you must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you This is in comparison to sonnet 130 when the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
