entreaty, he uses many rhetorical strategies such as ethos, pathos, and logos. He even uses

One character that is admirable in the movie Thor directed by Kenneth Branagh (2011) was Thor.
Thor was the proposed king of Aasgard. Right before his crowning his father decides that Thor
was far too ignorant and must be sent to Eearth to learn what it is to be a worthy king.Thor is to be
admired because he is selfless, determined and strong.
One thing Thor is admirable for is his selflessness. The Destroyer was sent by his brother to kill
Thor. Him and his friends fight against the destroyer but it is too powerful and they only end up

The Tale of Genji In early eleventh century Japan, circa the year 1021, noblewoman and lady in
waiting Murasaki Shikibu published The Tale of Genji, widely renowned as the world s first
novel. The work is set in Shikibu s contemporary Heian period of Japan, in which political and
social ranks dictated society s functioning and heavy prejudices were placed on those deemed
unsuitable for the affairs of public court life. Women fell under this umbrella of outsiders, meant
to live primarily behind screens and closed doors only to be seen by their father and husband. It
is believed that Shikibu wrote such a tale of forbidden romance and whimsical court affairs to
bring life to her fellow women who shared in such a limited existence. This single piece of
literature manages to wholly represent the Heian age of Japanese history, embodying the period s
culture and seamlessly incorporating a broad spectrum of themes of civilization. The Tale of Genji
revolves around the illegitimate son of Japan s emperor and his favorite concubine Kiritsubo.

As nearly 90% of the worldwide transported goods are moved by ship and 60% of those goods are
containerized , a high dependency of global trade and the demand for container transports can be
detected. Therefore trends like global sourcing coming along with the globalization are highly
influenced by various variables which might for example include the following :
Population growth
Social standards and income
Labor cost
Language and communication
Political and legal aspects
Export figures
Degree of industrialization
Currency fluctuations
Technological developments (e.g. Internet)
Linking the world container volume to the global Real GDP as an indicator for the development
of the overall economy (cf Figure 1), it can be detected that the shipping industry suffered more
dramatically than expected from the worldwide economic crisis in 2008 when the financial

It all started on a hot day in California, the golden sun blazing through the window of his
apartment. It was 5:30pm to be exact. Felix had invited his mother to dinner in celebration of being
accepted into a prestigious investigation program that would kick start his career in this field.
Felix was an 18 year old boy, but not your typical 18 year old. He wasn t like the other boys his
age. They would be playing sports like rugby and basketball. They were tall, towered over others
in lower grades, broad and muscular. Felix was the total opposite of them. He was short, pale as
an uncooked pancake, and didn t have much muscle. He had a circular face with a small button
nose in the middle. Above the nose were two narrow, brown eyes with full eyebrows above them.
In addition, Felix didn t play any sports, instead he preferred solving investigation cases and
puzzles. Unlike the other boys, Felix couldn t care less about his appearance rather, he was just
grateful that he was even alive. However, despite his wimpy attributes, he was mentally strong. He
had gone through many depressing situations like his mother and father s divorce.
Felix had dreamed of getting into the program since he was a kid. He was always fond of
investigation, always wearing his black suede jacket along with his brown top hat, not to forget
about his magnifying glass he always held in his petite hands. With his magnifying glass in hand,
