The Role Of Associate In Nursing
Earth as we all know it s Associate in Nursing improbably complicated and fragile network of
interconnected systems that have developed slowly over the last four.5 billion years more or less.
From the ashes of the massive Bang, this planet emerged as a mass of energy and components. From
that new born mass of energy and components evolved structured, dynamic systems of solids, liquids,
and gasses. The evolution of this planet continued to unfold over billions of years in such a novel
method that eventually conditions arose with the flexibility to foster life.
From the tiniest microorganisms to the biggest animals, all life on Earth includes a common
antecedent. Everything is connected to everything. therefore, however, is it that our species ... Show

The World Tourism Organization ( Untwo )
The world tourism organisation (UNTWO) states: tourism comprises the activities of persons
travelling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive
year for leisure, business and other purposes not related to the exercise of an activity remunerated
from within the place visited. Throughout this essay the concept of tourism will be discussed using a
systems approach as well as using Neil Leiper s basic whole tourism system (Leiper, 2004) theory.
The vulnerability of the open tourism system to periodic disruption will also be looked at through the
example of The September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks on The United States of America. 9/11 as it is
referred to today, was an event that shocked the world. Four airplanes were hijacked by the Islamic
extremist group, al Qaeda, and carried out suicide attacks in the United States. Over 3,000 people
were killed because of these attacks as well as the tourism industry suffering worldwide and the
American employment and economy declining significantly.
The tourism system is complex. Tourism has been analysed using a systems approach since the 1960s
the idea that a single structure is comprised of multiple related and dependent groups. Key to this
approach is the idea of interdependence; because everything is related, a change in one component of
the system will affect other components in the system. Neil Leiper designed a basic whole tourism
system (Leiper, 2004) that showed tourism

Summary Of The Concert By Gerrit Van Honthorst
The art work of Gerrit Van Honthorst called The Concert was painted during the 15th or 16th century.
The title of the painting gives a clue as to what is happening within the painting. The painting is an oil,
canvas. The title The Concert suggests just as in the painting, a group of people is gathering for a
concert. There are intense muted hues of yellow, blue, red, and green. The painting contains traditional
linear perspective and the book placed on the table helps create the 3 D dimensional on the overall
painting. The shapes of the figures are sharply defined and the objects such as the table, book, and
string instruments. There are diagonal rhythms throughout the painting in which it creates movement.
The light source in the upper left allows the source light to have a more natural appearance throughout
the painting. The shadows at the right hand corner and the men wearing green in the middle contrast
the main object with the most sources of lighting. The objects shadows and lighting create dimension
and a vivid sense of more contrast. There are areas in the making with more contrast and the sharp
contrast that creates movement in the painting. The shadows and the lighting throughout the painting
show gradations and the highlights create more depth. Staring from the upper left hand corner with the
first figure of a gentleman wearing a hue of blue and yellow, the left side of his face and garment
shows the source light in right above him. The source light above the

Tkaronto Research Paper
Toronto, the provincial capital of Ontario, is the city in Canada which has the greatest number of
population. Its location is described as being in the South of Ontario, and is situated on the
northwestern beach of Lake Ontario. River Don and River Humber lie on the sides of the main city
area.
The history of the name Toronto takes its meaning from the word Tkaronto which means a place
where trees stand in the water. This is in regard of the northern end of the city where there is Lake
Simcoe. The city has almost 10 million trees, 4 million of them being publicly owned. Area of the city

Women s Rights Violations Analysis
No woman can call herself free who does not control her own body, nor can no woman call herself
free until she can choose consciously whether she will or will not be a mother. Margaret Sanders, an
early feminist and birth control activist, strove greatly for women, especially in their stand for
contraceptives that would help prevent unwanted pregnancies. She understood that women become
greatly affected by the choice of having an abortion for that right alone assures them that they are in
complete control over their bodies. Denying women of this right would not only make it
unconstitutional, it would make it to where the woman does not even have the right to decide matters
regarding her own body. Stemming from that, there have been many ... Show more content on

From different aspects, there came different rights being violated and constrained. For example, there
are privacy rights, equality rights, bodily rights, reproductive rights and many more. Since abortion is
unconstitutional, it violated at least one of the amendments, which in fact, it violated more than one.
For instance, it violated the first and fourteenth amendment. It violated the first amendment by
violating women s religious freedom. Argued by Peter Wenz, he believed that it s a religious belief to
consider the fetus as a person before the twenty week gestation period, resulting in the violation of
religious freedom stated in the first amendment. The fourteenth amendment violated the basic rights of
citizens. ( Ethics: Abortion ). On the other hand, FOCA: Freedom of Choice Act, protects women.
FOCA states that every woman has the right to bear a child and terminate pregnancy before and after
viability of the fetus in order to protect the mother s life. Along with FOCA, women have body
sovereignty, which is when women have the right to decide matters regarding her body. Having the
choice over whether or not to have children is vital to women s independence and ability to determine
their own futures ( Rights of fetus ). Restrictions on abortion can take away the rights of women and
the aspect of equality rights. Women become deprived of their equalities in education, social life, and
economic life due to childbirth and having to raise children against their will. The restrictions set forth
the layout of the mother s life, therefore, taking away her equal rights to her own life( Equality
Arguments ). With the case of minor mothers, there are some restrictions set because they re underage.
For instance, in 37 states, minor mothers wishing to get an abortion need parental involvement, in 26

Essay about Characters Tested in Michael Crichton’s Sphere
People do things that they normally would not do when they are put in certain situation that test them.
In Michael Crichton s novel Sphere, Beth does many things that she would not normally do when she
is put in certain situations that test her. I want to put you under, Norman. Like Harry. He shook his
head. It s only for a few hours, Norman, she said, and then she seemed decide; she moved swiftly
toward him, and he saw the syringe in her hand, the glint of the needle, and he twisted away... She had
shut off his power, she had shut off his heat, and now she shut off his air. He was trapped (Crichton

fear, in the presence of power, and in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This says that Beth (with the help of Norman) has to make Harry unconscious, so she uses a syringe to
inject the anesthetic into Harry. This means that with Harry unconscious, the manifestations will stop
occurring, that is if Harry was thinking up the manifestations. This proves that people will do anything
when they are put in a certain situation that tests them because Beth has to artfully use an anesthetic
on a colleague by puncturing his shoulder, and only for hope that the manifestations stop occurring
and that she does not die. People do things that they normally would not do when they are put in
certain situation that test them because Beth turned against her own colleague and used an anesthetic
on him to make him unconscious.
In certain situations, people do things that they normally would not do. When Beth is in the presence
of the power of the Sphere she accuses Norman of having the Sphere s power because the
manifestations are still occurring. Beth, this is crazy. Someone is still making these manifestations.
Who is doing that, Beth? She smiled slowly a lazy, cat smile, as if he secretly amused her. Don t you
really know? He did know. Yes, he thought. He knew, and it chilled him. You re making these
manifestations, Beth. No Norman, she said, still calm. I m not doing it. You are (Crichton 417). This
says that Beth thinks that Norman it making the manifestations so she is accusing him. This means

How Did Leonardo Da Vinci Done
Art is never finished, only abandoned. This is one of Leonardo da Vinci s famous quotes. I personally
find it appealing and memorizing. This is 100% true as well! Nothing in life is ever truly finished!
Leonardo da Vinci was pure genius, however not just from his quotes. He did much, much, more!
Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452. He was born in Vinci Italy. His exact birthplace was in
a farmhouse in the middle of the beautiful hills of Tuscany outside the village of Anchiano in what is
now Italy. Leonardo da Vinci most likely spent most of his time with his uncle, Francesco, instead of
his two unmarried parents. At the age of 15, Leonardo da Vinci became the apprentice of the artist
Andrea del Verrocchio. Andrea del Verrocchio ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He studied the field of civil engineering, and created many amazing inventions. His invention of the
parachute was an international breakthrough! He also invented scissors, which also changed the world,
and is nowadays used in almost every classroom and almost every household. Leonardo da Vinci also
sketched up the first helicopter. He may not have built it, but he did imagaine it, and his sketch helped
modern day scientists and engineers build the helicopter. Not only did Leonardo da Vinci sketch the
helicopter, create the parachute, and invent the scissors, but he also built The Revolving Bridge. The
Revolving Bridge was a portable bridge, used over a variety of bodies of water. It was mostly used by
armies to pass over rivers, streams, and small lakes. Leonardo da Vinci originally designed it for Duke
Sforza.
I think that this field of science is something I would like to study because I enjoy both building and
creating, and I adore art. I definitely think that if I ever become a scientist, this would be the field of
science I would enjoy! I spend most of my time drawing and building, much like Leonardo da Vinci
did. And it just so happens that I ve always had an eye for science, and it seems to be my best subject.
I hope that maybe, just maybe, one day, I will be just as good as artist as Leonardo da Vinci. So as I
conclude my essay, I would like to say just one more genius quote by Leonardo da Vinci

Influence Of Music On Society
1. After reading this article give your ideas on exactly how music can influence the thinking of a
society. Music is the expression of the society. People tend to share their opinion and express
themselves through the music. Consequently, music become in an important way to influence the
society s thought. Music has played a fundamental role in history since man is a man.
It is used for so many things that it is almost impossible to think of them all.
It s an art we meet every day since we woke up until we went to bed. Without the music, the world
would be very different. As it is used more as a symbol ritualistic to express a feeling; Without the
music in history, there would have been no human feats, eternal passions, breaths of war, nor the
estrangement of man as a rational animal. Music is an essential part of our life. It s part of our history

Global Economy Is Finally Stabilizing Following The Global...
The global economy is finally stabilizing following the global financial crisis and Great Recession.
Our base case outlook for average annual real growth between 2015 and 2020 is between 3 and 4
percent Lower global commodity prices are an important factor supporting stronger economic growth.
Although economies that are dependent on commodity exports may suffer, lower input prices for
industry as well as lower fuel prices for households will provide a boost to aggregate demand and
global growth. We expect emerging economies to continue to grow by more than 4 percent
(contributing $16.2 trillion to global growth through 2020 at market exchange rates), while the growth
rate of advanced economies is forecast to exceed 2 percent (contributing $13.5 trillion through 2020)
for the first time since 2010. The United States is leading the recovery among advanced markets, and
we expect the country to be a significant contributor to global growth through 2020. However, we
anticipate economic performance to continue to diverge within both the emerging and developed
market groupings based on key policy choices, as governments grapple with structural reforms in the
context of reduced fiscal and monetary stimulus. In this regard, strong leadership and bold
government actions will determine whether national economies can escape from the new mediocre of
stable but low growth. Australia resources industry (BHP) Australia has a rich haven of resources in
the oil, gas and energy industries.

Two time capsules were found during renovations of the Basilica of San Lorenzo, Florence. One time
capsule dates back to the Renaissance time period. Artifacts in this time capsule included a painting of
The Birth of Venus, a lute, drawing of the Florence Cathedral s dome, and a book called The
Decameron. The second time capsule had artifacts from the Baroque time period. Artifacts in this time

Another canvas lay rolled up at the bottom of the time capsule. Once unrolled, a beautiful drawing on
canvas of the Florence Cathedral s dome was revealed. The dome was designed by Filippo
Brunelleschi, drawn in 1420. This dome was the largest ever built in history in this era. Flippo
Brunelleschi used new methods of hoisting stone and masonry technique to construct the dome (Fiero,
2011). The Florence Cathedral highly reflects the Architectural development of the early Renaissance
period. It also reflects how devoted Rome was to their religion, and how religion influenced the
Romans to build magnificent architecture for a place to worship.
A book lay at the bottom of the renaissance time capsule called The Decameron, by Giovanni
Boccaccio. This book has 100 tales about seven young women and three young men who took shelter
in a secluded villa in Florence, to escape the Black Death plague. This book shows the social class
difference that was taking place during this time period within the culture. The book also goes into
detail of what took place during the pandemic and the horrors people were faced with. This book is
also a product of the printing press made in 1450. This allowed documentation, information, and
books such as The Decameron, to be printed and passed around the world.

The Montgomery Bus Boycott Case Study
The problem with discrimination with transportation is that coloured people, specifically African
Americans, were not allowed to sit at the front of the bus and a lot of the time they had to give their
seat up to white person when travelling by air. The major issue in the 1950 s was the busses. Much
like the bathrooms and waiting areas African American people had a segregated section for them at the
back of the bus, or a separate, poor quality bathroom. From this coloured people felt even more
excluded as they already had specific bathrooms, waiting areas and even drinking fountains. They felt
like they couldn t even travel safely and most of the time they didn t travel safely without slurs being
thrown at them. A major incident was Rosa Parks refusing to move from her seat for a white man.
Rosa Parks got on the bus whilst no one was on there, she thought it would be safe for her to sit at the
front of the bus. A white male arrived on the bus and told Parks to move, she refused to move for the
man. This incident got Rosa Parks thrown off the bus, arrested and fined $10 plus $4 from the court.
This was a lot of money back in the 50 s.
Protest
Because of Rosa Parks not giving up her seat on the bus this started a peaceful protest. This is how the
Montgomery bus boycott started. The Montgomery Bus Boycott is where African Americans refused
to rise the city buses in Montgomery, Alabama, to protest segregated seating in buses. It took place
from December 5th, 1955, to December

I Am A Safe Haven At Your Hands

decide to read into it. As I am reading, with the light from my phone illuminating my face, I find out
that it s a nonprofit organization that pairs you with a person. It is meant to help you deal with an
eating disorder, self harm, suicidal thoughts, and mental illnesses. I am seeing all of this information
and I know I need to join the project. It was that one day in November that changed my life forever.
I remember my heart racing when I was paired with my first buddy. I found out that her name was
Abby; she was dealing with an eating disorder and suspected she was depressed. We both hadn t
gotten help at this point, so it wasn t truly beneficial. Pain and darkness were consuming our lives, but
speaking up didn t seem like an option. The next year, 2014, I met two new people. Their names were
Danielle and Jay. Again, mutual effort was being made, but nobody got the help they needed yet. I saw
blood curdling messages, but I knew it was my job to help as best as I could. I felt like I was drowning
and gasping for air, but my main priority was the other people. Even though there was a disclaimer
that says not to use the project as a replacement for getting help, that is what so many people did.

Human red blood cells (6 8μm)
Red blood cells (also referred to as erythrocytes) are the most common type of blood cell and the
vertebrateorganism s principal means of delivering oxygen (O2) to the body tissues via the blood flow
through thecirculatory system. They take up oxygen in the lungs or gills and release it while squeezing
through the body scapillaries.
These cells cytoplasm is rich in hemoglobin, an iron containing biomolecule that can bind oxygen and
is responsible for the blood s red color.
In humans, mature red blood cells are flexible biconcave disks that lack a cell nucleus and most
organelles. 2.4 million new erythrocytes are produced per second.[1] The cells ... Show more content

Membrane composition
The membrane of the red blood cell plays many roles that aid in regulating their surface deformability,
flexibility, adhesion to other cells and immune recognition. These functions are highly dependent on
its composition, which defines its properties. The red blood cell membrane is composed of 3 layers:
the glycocalyx on the exterior, which is rich in carbohydrates; the lipid bilayer which contains many
transmembrane proteins, besides its lipidic main constituents; and the membrane skeleton, a structural
network of proteins located on the inner surface of the lipid bilayer. In human erythrocytes, like in
most mammal erythrocytes, half of the membrane mass is represented by proteins and the other half
are lipids, namely phospholipids and cholesterol.[29]

The erythrocyte cell membrane comprises a typical lipid bilayer, similar to what can be found in
virtually all human cells. Simply put, this lipid bilayer is composed of cholesterol andphospholipids in
equal proportions by weight. The lipid composition is important as it defines many physical properties
such as membrane permeability and fluidity. Additionally, the activity of many membrane proteins is
regulated by interactions with lipids in the bilayer.

Writing Programs On A Block Programming Environment
I am writing to find out whether writing programs in a block programming environment is more
effective compared to a high level language. I will look at both block programming environments and
high level languages by researching and explaining what each of them are but also by giving examples
of programs made using them and by focusing on both the advantages and disadvantages of writing
programs in these ways. I will compare the two together and decide whether they are suited to
complex or simple situations and also as well as this will look at whether the programmer needs
knowledge on how to create a program using them. Computer languages are used to create programs
and are set of instructions which the computer uses to run a program. There are a lot of computer
languages however, they all have different features. One of them is high level language. The advantage
of using high level language is that it s person friendly, so humans can understand it easily as it s
written in text which means that it s also easier to write and maintain. High level language is also
portable and can work across different CPU families and as well as this it supports a wide range of
data types. An another advantage of using it is that it programs faster and takes less time to code. A
disadvantage of using high level language to program is that it needs to be translated into machine

The Good And The Evil
The Good and The Evil
There is good and there is bad, I was only twelve when I figured this out the hard way. It was late
during school when an alarm went off. I was a kid what can go wrong I thought to myself as I
foolishly opened a door we were clearly prohibited to open because of a gun man near our school.
This very action lead the school to expel me and this would change my life for the good. Although my
bad decisions helped me know better, it s the bad that lead these three myths to suffer long life
consequences that ultimately explain why the earth is why it is today. These three myths show the
struggles and obstacles the Hebrew, Cherokee, and Maori people had to overcome because of their
vicious ways and or their actions under certain obstacles that challenged the people of these myths. In
the Yahweh myth the author communicates In the garden was a snake, and the snake persuaded the
women that she could eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil without dying...She ate
the fruit, and gave some to the man too. (Creation Story World 33). Therefore, the snake making this
bad decision, led to Yahweh cursing the snake shouting, you will be cursed by crawling your whole
life and the women s children will eat you, the women being Eve, whom he had beguiled into eating
from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. But not only was the snake cursed, Adam and Eve were
also cursed. Yahweh told Eve that she would be cured to suffer the pain of childbirth and

John Bowlby and Maternal Deprivation Essay
John Bowlby and Maternal Deprivation
Bowlby believed that maternal behaviour was instinctive in humans as it appears to be in animals.
Mothers and their babies form an instinctive attachment to each other using genetically inherited skills
such as smiling, grasping, crying and so on. If a separation occurs between mother and infant within
the first few years of the child s life, Bowlby believed that the bond would be irreversibly broken,
leading to severe emotional consequences for the infant in later life. He referred to this as maternal
deprivation. Bowlby claimed that maternal deprivation had the following consequences:
1. Aggressiveness
5. Depression
2. Delinquency
6. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The recent debates about child abuse and the question of whether or not to remove at risk children
from their natural parents can be seen to be related to the idea of maternal deprivation. If Bowlby is
right, it may be better to leave such children with their parents the long term damage which could
result from maternal deprivation might be a more important consideration than the risk of abuse. On
the other hand, if Bowlby is wrong, children could be left in a potentially dangerous situation.
However, one of the major effects of Bowlby s claims was to direct greater attention to the child s
emotional and psychological needs, which weren t considered as important in the 1920 s and 30 s as
they are today.
Much of the evidence Bowlby uses to support his views comes from studies carried out in the 1950 s
and 60 s. The nature of the issues being investigated meant that controlled experiments couldn t be
carried out. It would not be possible to separate children from their mothers in an experiment! Because
control of variables was difficult, clear conclusions were difficult to draw. Other evidence from
psychoanalytic case studies or from animal studies must also be interpreted very carefully.
During the 1970 s Bowlby s view came under increasing criticism as a result of other studies of
varying degrees of maternal deprivation which

The Persian Wars Were Significant For World History
One of the main components that defined the ancient world is war. During the era of expansion and
conquest, wars were waged across lands near and far. By means of defense, revolts arose at this time
of numerous battles as well as the formation of alliances. As a whole, war is a struggle for power. For
instance, two great ancient civilizations, Greece and Persia, fought in a series of conflicts known as
the Greco Persian Wars. Herodotus, the historian who first wrote about the Persian Wars, once said,
Great things are won by great dangers. All war is dangerous, yet the advancements made afterward
help form civilizations and promote future prosperity. The Greco Persian Wars were significant for

Moreover, in the Battle of Thermopylae, Persian forces led by Xerxes outnumbered the Greeks yet
again. However, the militant Spartans took up arms and were able to defeat the large Persian army.
Thermopylae allowed the Greek forces to come up with various tactics and strategies in order to
defeat Persia. Next, the Battle of Salamis was a naval battle between several Greek city states and
Persia. This battle forms the turning point of the Greco Persian Wars since it ultimately saved Greece
from being absorbed into the Persian Empire and ensured the emergence of Western civilization as a
major force in the world. The ending of the Battle of Salamis left the Persian army trapped in Greece,
which paves the way for the final battle of the war, the Battle of Platea. In the battle, the Greek army
came and defeated the weakened Persians, the Persian Wars were over . The mark of the ending of the
Greco Persian wars gave way to Athens arising from the ashes as the dominant and central city state of
Greece, which then provides political and cultural advancements during its golden age. After the wars,
Athens emerges as the center of all activity amongst each city state in Greece. One of the key features
within the Athenian society was the arrangement of public assembly and the rule of the people,
democracy. In the assemblies, any male citizen could actively vote

My Sonnet Essay
Kowsalya Ganesan (14) Class: 207
Poem 1 (Shakespearean Sonnet) To be graded
Once A Friend
My laughter is empty and hollow
My feelings are wrecked within and often, feigned
Wounded by sheer agony not so shallow
So much so that my breathing is strained
T was a tale of two carefree and mirthful souls
Walking on a bed of roses in delight
Before they knew it, it evolved into strolls
Nearing a dismal end nowhere in sight
Tearing in painful joy and deep despair
Those bittersweet memories reach a dead end
A relationship I cannot repair
And this dreadful kiss of death, was once a friend
The haunting past I can never mend
She was once a friend, my very own friend

Once A Friend
This poem is about losing a friend. Without her friend, the speaker is deprived of happiness. Even
when the speaker laughs or smiles, it is faked. The speaker was affected so much that breathing
became a burden. Initially, they were elated but soon, it turned into a path with a bitter end. Kiss of
death is a phrase, which refers to something that causes failure. The turn at the ending couplet shows
the speaker s reflection that there is no point in feeling nostalgic, as she cannot change the past.
I Can See You From Up Here
This poem is about a dead person requesting for her loved one not to cry by claiming that she is not
dead. The speaker is trying to assure her loved one that she is always watching her from above. The
speaker objectifies herself as the clouds, birds, sun and stars as they are high in the sky, where Heaven
is thought to be. In the 5th stanza, the speaker states, suffered but in delight , as she suffered but since
she does not want her loved one to cry, she tells that she is delighted. The speaker also advises her
loved one not to revisit the past by retaining

How Does Delillo Present The Fear Of Death In White Noise
The fear of death is one of the most prominent themes in White Noise. Everything in the novel from
Hitler to the toxic airborne event circles back to how human beings are subconsciously afraid of
dying. DeLillo s novel displays how life attempts to push this fear away, almost saying out of sight,
out of mind . Yet, as we see in the characters of Jack and Babette, the fear continues to rear its ugly
head and fill them with terror. DeLillo shows this close relationship between life and death. He could
be trying to show how death lingers dangerously in the background of our lives. The toxic event
changed the way Jack Gladney feared death. Not only did it make his fear worse, but it made him
absolutely terrified of it. During the event, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This could be based on the fact that no matter who you are or what you do, death is inevitable. I
believe that Jack relates to a Hitler like persona because he relates to this idea of life credit . When
Jack is talking to Murray, Murray mentions that to kill another person is to gain life credit. The more
people you kill, the more credit you store up (DeLillo pg. 277). This is similar to Hitler, from my own
knowledge, I already know that Hitler thought the more people he killed the more power he would
gain and the more invincible he would feel. Jack seems to have the same mindset because he thinks
killing a man will give him more time. He is almost trying to cheat death and outlive the chemical
inside of him. I feel like Jack thinks that if he kills someone, he gains whatever years they had left. As
any rational person would know, this is just simply impossible, but Jack seems to believe this illusion
is his ticket to maximizing the time he has left. The common theme between these two passages is that
death is an inescapable process. I found it very interesting that the toxic event happened before Jack
shot Willie Mink. The toxic event only made it more clear to Jack that he is going to die because of his
chemical exposure, however it also hastened his dying process. This is why I find it so strange that
Jack tried to kill Mr. Mink. From my understanding, Jack was under the impression that killing
someone would extend his life, however he knows that he

Examining The Place Of The Russian Minority
Examining the Place of the Russian Minority in Latvia: Aliens, non citizens or stateless persons?
Introduction
The region of Latvia has a long history of occupation by foreign powers and so its ethnicity is quite
varied. The Latvian Republic is one of the Baltic States located on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Along
with its neighbours Lithuania and Estonia, Latvia gained independence from the Soviet Union in
1991. It is when Latvia gained its status as an independent state that the most crucial period for the
Russian speaking residents began, as at that time the country s main issue was the status of its 1.1
million Russian speaking residents. Under Latvia s 2000 census (Heleniak, 2006), 30 per cent of the
country s 2.4 million population ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The year independence was restored was defining for many thousands of Russians permanently living
in Latvia. On 3rd March 1991 a nonbinding advisory referendum took place with the result that 73%
of all Latvian residents supported the notion for independent Latvia (Troitsky, 2011). The Popular
Front of Latvia, the national movement which was promoting the idea of segregation, advocated that
all permanent residents will be entitled to and qualified for Latvian citizenship (Melvin, 1995, p. 34).
All those who want to be citizens of Latvia can be (Lieven, 1997, p. 304) stated Anatolijs Gorbunovs,
Chairman of the Latvian Supreme Council. However, the universal citizenship for all permanent
residents was not adopted. Latvia restored the rights and status only for those persons who were
identified as citizens under the 1919 Law together with their descendants (Aleinikoff Klusmeyer,
2001, p. 31). Thereby, for the majority of ethnic non Latvians citizenship was not granted, even when
the biggest portion of them were born in Latvia. This was seen as an attempt to suppress national
extinction (Mole, 2012, p. 89 90) caused by, according to the radicals in Latvia, the Russian people.
Those people became non citizens not holding citizenship to any other country and without the right to
vote. In Latvia as well as in Estonia the Russian population is seen as a reminder of their unhappy past
(Best, 2013, p. 34), thus the Russian people are not welcomed

About two hours in the night, my sweet babe like a lamb departed this life... I cannot but take notice
how at another time I could not bear to be in the room where any dead person was, but now the case is
changed; I must and could lie down by my dead babe, side by side all the night after. I have thought
since of the wonderful goodness of God to me in preserving me in the use of my reason and senses in
that distressed time, that I did not use wicked and violent means to end my own miserable life.
This quote is from Mary Rowlandson s Captivity Narrative when she is with her youngest daughter,
Sarah. In Rowlandson s recollection, the family is split apart after Native Americans attack and
capture people in her town. While living in the Native American village, Sarah dies from a gunshot
wound.
Rowlandson is extremely distressed, but feels as if she is saved by God because he preserved her life
in her worst times. In this quote, Rowlandson uses rhetorical devices and imagery to detail her belief
in
God, and also her human frailty. Rowlandson states how her sweet babe like lamb departed this

The Most Significant Moment In My Life
We all have that moment in life that changes us in some ways. I think back at events in my life, as an
example the births of my children that caused me to grow into a mother and the woman I am today.
However, there is a moment in my life, after my children, I was psychologically lost. This moment
changed my life forever! I was married for thirteen years with five children. During these thirteen
years, I would be the head of the house hold and ensured structure in the house. My husband at the
time, was an addict and in/out of prison. We attempt counseling and all types of treatment. The last six
years together, we were very involved in church. My faith in God grew and I believed my husband
could be delivered from this addition. I had to be the strong one in the family, the rock, the foundation
of our house to give the perception to people we were okay. After trying everything possible, I
realized, only he can be in recovery of addiction, I cannot make him. I had to make the decision to
break up my family for the safety of my children. After my separation, I became angry. My faith was
questionable, and I was angry at God. My family was torn, we lived with a friend in a small room. My
step children had to live with their mom because I could not afford to keep them. I no longer felt
strong, or had structure in my house. The feeling of failure and the mourning of the loss of my family
was overwhelming. I began to drink alcohol every day. My daily routine would consist of going to
work and as soon as I got out I would stop and get a Smirnoff Black, go home, cook for the three kids,
leave work out, drink and go out, go home at two am. The next six months, I did not care about
anything or anyone. I allowed these feelings to consume me. In September 2013, the first week, I was
driving drunk, I swerved and ran my mirror in to the wall. The second week, I was drunk and could
not leave the parking lot of a club, until the following morning. The third week, I was driving drunk to
a friend s house, and I remember fighting with him at the door way, and he asked me to leave. The
next thing I remember I woke up in a stranger s car, holding a blanket to my chin full of blood. The
young gentleman driving said, Miss, you

Types of Relationships
Vinash Persad
Expository Essay Wk2
Three Types of Relationships Human relationships have always perplexed me. These seemingly
simple bonds between people can amount to so much and cause such commotion that lives change
drastically within minutes in these relationships. Especially in the fast changing world of today. In my
piece I am going to be telling you about the three types of relationships I see taking place. Over time, I
have asked myself three questions, finding the answers along the way, which is what I will be
explaining to you. To begin, how much does one compromise on self gratification for the sake of
commitment? Or should one compromise at all in the name of love? Finally, what happens when love
is found outside ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Compromising in the name love is just wrong to do; whatever the circumstances. This sort of actions
you would find in arranged marriages and usually it is the female that has to make this compromise
and suffer. A classic example of this type of relationship can be seen in arranged marriages in Indian
families, but these are not limited for Indian families in India; these can still be seen in American or
other parts of the world where Indian or Muslim families reside. Only true love can set them free of
this compromise but it just ends up in a big blunder because it would create a lot of friction and pose a
lot of questions. When someone truly loves, they expect to have it back in return. Not an act. Lastly,
what happens when love is found outside ones commitment? This to me is a sad thing but also a happy
thing when it is dealt with maturely and with much understanding. Regarding my earlier points;
imagine in this compromise that is made. It takes a true person to understand when love is found
outside a relationship by the compromising partner. Although the other party is strongly in love with
this person, they would understand that this was not their love story after all and should be happy that
their partner found theirs. Yes it is a sad thing to happen in a relationship, but when one understands
the meaning of true love only then they can let go without any qualms. In conclusion I would

Eco Terrorism and Violence in The United States
Eco terrorism has been said by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to be the most significant domestic
terror threat facing the United States today ( Environmental ). This assumption could not be any more
true. Everyday, the lives of many innocent citizens and animals are put in danger just for a group of
people to try to make a statement about what they believe is right, and what they believe is wrong.
These actions are usually committed by individuals who believe that the exploitation of natural
resources and despoliation of the environment are becoming so severe that action outside of
conventional legal and environmental channels is required ( Ecoterrorism. Pollution). Although this
may be effective in getting the wanted attention ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though most groups are targeting the higher ups in a business or production, many of the lower level
workers are being harmed in their attempts. Putting people in danger to make a statement is not the
right way to approach the situation. Legal actions should, and are often taken against these individuals
that see it necessary to cause destruction to fix a problem. Because of their violent actions,
environmental activists have been legally deemed terrorists. They have inflicted millions of dollars in
damages and have maimed innocent people ( Ecoterrorism: The Dangerous ). The term Eco terrorist
came into play because the goal of these domestic terrorists are the same as those of international
terrorists; to threaten a legitimately elected government through causing domestic unrest and
threatening the peaceful orderliness of society ( Environmental ). Main targets of these acts include
forestation projects, hydro electric operations, resource production, and land based telecommunication
and energy services (Nilson). The term terrorist has also been labeled upon on these activists because
the means utilized by domestic terrorists are very similar to those of international terrorists. Both
groups target unarmed civilians and carry out violent attacks without there being a war. According to
the article Perspectives onEcoterrorism: Catalysts, Conflations, and Casualties , written by Randall

Cooking The Revolution During The Nineteenth Century
Cooking the Revolution
HTS Submission to Fabrizio Ballabio
Leticia Dadalto
In the nineteenth Century the kitchen worked as the machinery. It had to be the biggest room of the
plan in order to support all the apparatus needed for the housework: the stove, the sewing machine and
the fridge were basically built in architecture elements. That results in a very unhealthy and harsh
environment that keeps the house working. Each family had its own house and its own land where
their own food was produced and their own clothes were sewn by the enslaved housewife: the whole
system was based in isolation (Hayden, 1982). It is curious to notice how Woman s History started
changing around design iterations of this once oppressive space.
In the mid 1800, names like Ernest Engels, Charles Fourier, Melusina Fey Peirce, the Beecher sisters
and Louise Bourgeous started to propose different organisations. The Material Feminists, who
believed in the economical independence of woman as the way to provide them freedom, were
supported by the Community Socialists (or Utopian Socialists) for the creation of ideal societies with
no distinction between class or gender (Hayden, 1982:10). The support between these thinkers
emphasises that in order to change woman s condition there is a need for changing the home design as
well as the household and the economical system. The patriarchic organisation of the house can be
considered a political economical system in a

Roger And Me Essay
Roger and Me is a documentary that was made in 1989 and it was a Michael Moore film. The film
focused on the General Motors (GM) layoffs that happened in Flint Michigan, Michaels home town,
in the late 1980 s. The CEO, Roger Smith, decided to layoff over 30,000 people and to close down the
GM factory that is in Flint. Smiths new plan after closing the factory is to open one down in Mexico
and to hire people in Mexico because the labor cost would be a significant decrease. When Moore
found out about the layoffs he wanted to find out more about it and to also speak with Roger Smith.
Many of the people of Flint were very angry with Smith. There was a production of people who
wanted to interview and talk with Smith and also the people who were laid off and also the people
who just lived in the town of Flint. Free enterprise is an economic system in which a private business
operates in competition and largely free of state control. In the movie Roger and Me free enterprise ...

I believe that Smith could have and should have spoke to the people of Flint. Smith was not clear on
why he was making the layoffs to the workers, but Moore does confront Tom Kay about the issue.
Kay s response was that Smith made the layoffs to increase their profit and they will do that by
opening a factory in Mexico and hiring people down there to work for less pay. Moore then was on the
hunt for Smith trying to interview and speak with him. Moore spent three year chasing Smith across
the country and he never did get to speak with Roger Smith. As CEO Smith should have agreed to at
least talk with Moore about the issues that the layoffs have brought and why the layoffs happened.
Smith also could have brought up the issues with the higher up GM workers and ask them to lend a

  • 2. The Role Of Associate In Nursing Earth as we all know it s Associate in Nursing improbably complicated and fragile network of interconnected systems that have developed slowly over the last four.5 billion years more or less. From the ashes of the massive Bang, this planet emerged as a mass of energy and components. From that new born mass of energy and components evolved structured, dynamic systems of solids, liquids, and gasses. The evolution of this planet continued to unfold over billions of years in such a novel method that eventually conditions arose with the flexibility to foster life. • 3. The World Tourism Organization ( Untwo ) The world tourism organisation (UNTWO) states: tourism comprises the activities of persons travelling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes not related to the exercise of an activity remunerated from within the place visited. Throughout this essay the concept of tourism will be discussed using a systems approach as well as using Neil Leiper s basic whole tourism system (Leiper, 2004) theory. The vulnerability of the open tourism system to periodic disruption will also be looked at through the example of The September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks on The United States of America. 9/11 as it is referred to today, was an event that shocked the world. Four airplanes were hijacked by the Islamic extremist group, al Qaeda, and carried out suicide attacks in the United States. Over 3,000 people were killed because of these attacks as well as the tourism industry suffering worldwide and the American employment and economy declining significantly. The tourism system is complex. Tourism has been analysed using a systems approach since the 1960s the idea that a single structure is comprised of multiple related and dependent groups. Key to this approach is the idea of interdependence; because everything is related, a change in one component of the system will affect other components in the system. Neil Leiper designed a basic whole tourism system (Leiper, 2004) that showed tourism ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Summary Of The Concert By Gerrit Van Honthorst The art work of Gerrit Van Honthorst called The Concert was painted during the 15th or 16th century. The title of the painting gives a clue as to what is happening within the painting. The painting is an oil, canvas. The title The Concert suggests just as in the painting, a group of people is gathering for a concert. There are intense muted hues of yellow, blue, red, and green. The painting contains traditional linear perspective and the book placed on the table helps create the 3 D dimensional on the overall painting. The shapes of the figures are sharply defined and the objects such as the table, book, and string instruments. There are diagonal rhythms throughout the painting in which it creates movement. The light source in the upper left allows the source light to have a more natural appearance throughout the painting. The shadows at the right hand corner and the men wearing green in the middle contrast the main object with the most sources of lighting. The objects shadows and lighting create dimension and a vivid sense of more contrast. There are areas in the making with more contrast and the sharp contrast that creates movement in the painting. The shadows and the lighting throughout the painting show gradations and the highlights create more depth. Staring from the upper left hand corner with the first figure of a gentleman wearing a hue of blue and yellow, the left side of his face and garment shows the source light in right above him. The source light above the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Women s Rights Violations Analysis No woman can call herself free who does not control her own body, nor can no woman call herself free until she can choose consciously whether she will or will not be a mother. Margaret Sanders, an early feminist and birth control activist, strove greatly for women, especially in their stand for contraceptives that would help prevent unwanted pregnancies. She understood that women become greatly affected by the choice of having an abortion for that right alone assures them that they are in complete control over their bodies. Denying women of this right would not only make it unconstitutional, it would make it to where the woman does not even have the right to decide matters regarding her own body. Stemming from that, there have been many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From different aspects, there came different rights being violated and constrained. For example, there are privacy rights, equality rights, bodily rights, reproductive rights and many more. Since abortion is unconstitutional, it violated at least one of the amendments, which in fact, it violated more than one. For instance, it violated the first and fourteenth amendment. It violated the first amendment by violating women s religious freedom. Argued by Peter Wenz, he believed that it s a religious belief to consider the fetus as a person before the twenty week gestation period, resulting in the violation of religious freedom stated in the first amendment. The fourteenth amendment violated the basic rights of citizens. ( Ethics: Abortion ). On the other hand, FOCA: Freedom of Choice Act, protects women. FOCA states that every woman has the right to bear a child and terminate pregnancy before and after viability of the fetus in order to protect the mother s life. Along with FOCA, women have body sovereignty, which is when women have the right to decide matters regarding her body. Having the choice over whether or not to have children is vital to women s independence and ability to determine their own futures ( Rights of fetus ). Restrictions on abortion can take away the rights of women and the aspect of equality rights. Women become deprived of their equalities in education, social life, and economic life due to childbirth and having to raise children against their will. The restrictions set forth the layout of the mother s life, therefore, taking away her equal rights to her own life( Equality Arguments ). With the case of minor mothers, there are some restrictions set because they re underage. For instance, in 37 states, minor mothers wishing to get an abortion need parental involvement, in 26 ... In Michael Crichton s novel Sphere, Beth does many things that she would not normally do when she is put in certain situations that test her. I want to put you under, Norman. Like Harry. He shook his head. It s only for a few hours, Norman, she said, and then she seemed decide; she moved swiftly toward him, and he saw the syringe in her hand, the glint of the needle, and he twisted away... She had shut off his power, she had shut off his heat, and now she shut off his air. He was trapped (Crichton 423 433). This says that Beth (with the help of Norman) has to make Harry unconscious, so she uses a syringe to inject the anesthetic into Harry. This means that with Harry unconscious, the manifestations will stop occurring, that is if Harry was thinking up the manifestations. This proves that people will do anything when they are put in a certain situation that tests them because Beth has to artfully use an anesthetic on a colleague by puncturing his shoulder, and only for hope that the manifestations stop occurring and that she does not die. People do things that they normally would not do when they are put in certain situation that test them because Beth turned against her own colleague and used an anesthetic on him to make him unconscious. In certain situations, people do things that they normally would not do. When Beth is in the presence of the power of the Sphere she accuses Norman of having the Sphere s power because the manifestations are still occurring. Beth, this is crazy. This is 100% true as well! Nothing in life is ever truly finished! Leonardo da Vinci was pure genius, however not just from his quotes. He did much, much, more! Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452. He was born in Vinci Italy. His exact birthplace was in a farmhouse in the middle of the beautiful hills of Tuscany outside the village of Anchiano in what is now Italy. Leonardo da Vinci most likely spent most of his time with his uncle, Francesco, instead of his two unmarried parents. At the age of 15, Leonardo da Vinci became the apprentice of the artist Andrea del Verrocchio. Andrea del Verrocchio ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He studied the field of civil engineering, and created many amazing inventions. His invention of the parachute was an international breakthrough! He also invented scissors, which also changed the world, and is nowadays used in almost every classroom and almost every household. Leonardo da Vinci also sketched up the first helicopter. He may not have built it, but he did imagaine it, and his sketch helped modern day scientists and engineers build the helicopter. Not only did Leonardo da Vinci sketch the helicopter, create the parachute, and invent the scissors, but he also built The Revolving Bridge. The Revolving Bridge was a portable bridge, used over a variety of bodies of water. It was mostly used by armies to pass over rivers, streams, and small lakes. Leonardo da Vinci originally designed it for Duke Sforza. I think that this field of science is something I would like to study because I enjoy both building and creating, and I adore art. I definitely think that if I ever become a scientist, this would be the field of science I would enjoy! I spend most of my time drawing and building, much like Leonardo da Vinci did. And it just so happens that I ve always had an eye for science, and it seems to be my best subject. I hope that maybe, just maybe, one day, I will be just as good as artist as Leonardo da Vinci. Our base case outlook for average annual real growth between 2015 and 2020 is between 3 and 4 percent Lower global commodity prices are an important factor supporting stronger economic growth. Although economies that are dependent on commodity exports may suffer, lower input prices for industry as well as lower fuel prices for households will provide a boost to aggregate demand and global growth. We expect emerging economies to continue to grow by more than 4 percent (contributing $16.2 trillion to global growth through 2020 at market exchange rates), while the growth rate of advanced economies is forecast to exceed 2 percent (contributing $13.5 trillion through 2020) for the first time since 2010. The United States is leading the recovery among advanced markets, and we expect the country to be a significant contributor to global growth through 2020. However, we anticipate economic performance to continue to diverge within both the emerging and developed market groupings based on key policy choices, as governments grapple with structural reforms in the context of reduced fiscal and monetary stimulus. In this regard, strong leadership and bold government actions will determine whether national economies can escape from the new mediocre of stable but low growth. • 15. The Montgomery Bus Boycott Case Study The problem with discrimination with transportation is that coloured people, specifically African Americans, were not allowed to sit at the front of the bus and a lot of the time they had to give their seat up to white person when travelling by air. The major issue in the 1950 s was the busses. Much like the bathrooms and waiting areas African American people had a segregated section for them at the back of the bus, or a separate, poor quality bathroom. From this coloured people felt even more excluded as they already had specific bathrooms, waiting areas and even drinking fountains. They felt like they couldn t even travel safely and most of the time they didn t travel safely without slurs being thrown at them. A major incident was Rosa Parks refusing to move from her seat for a white man. Rosa Parks got on the bus whilst no one was on there, she thought it would be safe for her to sit at the front of the bus. A white male arrived on the bus and told Parks to move, she refused to move for the man. This incident got Rosa Parks thrown off the bus, arrested and fined $10 plus $4 from the court. This was a lot of money back in the 50 s. Protest Because of Rosa Parks not giving up her seat on the bus this started a peaceful protest. This is how the Montgomery bus boycott started. They take up oxygen in the lungs or gills and release it while squeezing through the body scapillaries. These cells cytoplasm is rich in hemoglobin, an iron containing biomolecule that can bind oxygen and is responsible for the blood s red color. In human erythrocytes, like in most mammal erythrocytes, half of the membrane mass is represented by proteins and the other half are lipids, namely phospholipids and cholesterol.[29] [edit]Membrane lipids [pic] [pic] The most common erythrocyte cell membrane lipids, schematically disposed as they are distributed on the bilayer. I will look at both block programming environments and high level languages by researching and explaining what each of them are but also by giving examples of programs made using them and by focusing on both the advantages and disadvantages of writing programs in these ways. I will compare the two together and decide whether they are suited to complex or simple situations and also as well as this will look at whether the programmer needs knowledge on how to create a program using them. Computer languages are used to create programs and are set of instructions which the computer uses to run a program. There are a lot of computer languages however, they all have different features. One of them is high level language. The advantage of using high level language is that it s person friendly, so humans can understand it easily as it s written in text which means that it s also easier to write and maintain. High level language is also portable and can work across different CPU families and as well as this it supports a wide range of data types. An another advantage of using it is that it programs faster and takes less time to code. A disadvantage of using high level language to program is that it needs to be translated into machine code before it can be executed so that the CPU can run it as computers only use and understand binary data. If a separation occurs between mother and infant within the first few years of the child s life, Bowlby believed that the bond would be irreversibly broken, leading to severe emotional consequences for the infant in later life. On the other hand, if Bowlby is wrong, children could be left in a potentially dangerous situation. However, one of the major effects of Bowlby s claims was to direct greater attention to the child s emotional and psychological needs, which weren t considered as important in the 1920 s and 30 s as they are today. Much of the evidence Bowlby uses to support his views comes from studies carried out in the 1950 s and 60 s. The nature of the issues being investigated meant that controlled experiments couldn t be carried out. It would not be possible to separate children from their mothers in an experiment! Everything in the novel from Hitler to the toxic airborne event circles back to how human beings are subconsciously afraid of dying. DeLillo s novel displays how life attempts to push this fear away, almost saying out of sight, out of mind . Yet, as we see in the characters of Jack and Babette, the fear continues to rear its ugly head and fill them with terror. DeLillo shows this close relationship between life and death. When Jack is talking to Murray, Murray mentions that to kill another person is to gain life credit. The more people you kill, the more credit you store up (DeLillo pg. 277). This is similar to Hitler, from my own knowledge, I already know that Hitler thought the more people he killed the more power he would gain and the more invincible he would feel. Jack seems to have the same mindset because he thinks killing a man will give him more time. He is almost trying to cheat death and outlive the chemical inside of him. I feel like Jack thinks that if he kills someone, he gains whatever years they had left. As any rational person would know, this is just simply impossible, but Jack seems to believe this illusion is his ticket to maximizing the time he has left. The common theme between these two passages is that death is an inescapable process. I found it very interesting that the toxic event happened before Jack shot Willie Mink. The toxic event only made it more clear to Jack that he is going to die because of his chemical exposure, however it also hastened his dying process. This is why I find it so strange that Jack tried to kill Mr. Mink. From my understanding, Jack was under the impression that killing someone would extend his life, however he knows that he ... The year independence was restored was defining for many thousands of Russians permanently living in Latvia. On 3rd March 1991 a nonbinding advisory referendum took place with the result that 73% of all Latvian residents supported the notion for independent Latvia (Troitsky, 2011). The Popular Front of Latvia, the national movement which was promoting the idea of segregation, advocated that all permanent residents will be entitled to and qualified for Latvian citizenship (Melvin, 1995, p. 34). All those who want to be citizens of Latvia can be (Lieven, 1997, p. 304) stated Anatolijs Gorbunovs, Chairman of the Latvian Supreme Council. However, the universal citizenship for all permanent residents was not adopted. Latvia restored the rights and status only for those persons who were identified as citizens under the 1919 Law together with their descendants (Aleinikoff Klusmeyer, 2001, p. 31). Thereby, for the majority of ethnic non Latvians citizenship was not granted, even when the biggest portion of them were born in Latvia. I cannot but take notice how at another time I could not bear to be in the room where any dead person was, but now the case is changed; I must and could lie down by my dead babe, side by side all the night after. I have thought since of the wonderful goodness of God to me in preserving me in the use of my reason and senses in that distressed time, that I did not use wicked and violent means to end my own miserable life. This quote is from Mary Rowlandson s Captivity Narrative when she is with her youngest daughter, Sarah. • 30. The Most Significant Moment In My Life We all have that moment in life that changes us in some ways. I think back at events in my life, as an example the births of my children that caused me to grow into a mother and the woman I am today. However, there is a moment in my life, after my children, I was psychologically lost. This moment changed my life forever! I was married for thirteen years with five children. During these thirteen years, I would be the head of the house hold and ensured structure in the house. My husband at the time, was an addict and in/out of prison. We attempt counseling and all types of treatment. The last six years together, we were very involved in church. My faith in God grew and I believed my husband could be delivered from this addition. I had to be the strong one in the family, the rock, the foundation of our house to give the perception to people we were okay. After trying everything possible, I realized, only he can be in recovery of addiction, I cannot make him. I had to make the decision to break up my family for the safety of my children. After my separation, I became angry. My faith was questionable, and I was angry at God. My family was torn, we lived with a friend in a small room. My step children had to live with their mom because I could not afford to keep them. I no longer felt strong, or had structure in my house. The feeling of failure and the mourning of the loss of my family was overwhelming. I began to drink alcohol every day. My daily routine would consist of going to work and as soon as I got out I would stop and get a Smirnoff Black, go home, cook for the three kids, leave work out, drink and go out, go home at two am. The next six months, I did not care about anything or anyone. I allowed these feelings to consume me. In September 2013, the first week, I was driving drunk, I swerved and ran my mirror in to the wall. The second week, I was drunk and could not leave the parking lot of a club, until the following morning. The third week, I was driving drunk to a friend s house, and I remember fighting with him at the door way, and he asked me to leave. The next thing I remember I woke up in a stranger s car, holding a blanket to my chin full of blood. The young gentleman driving said, Miss, you ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. Types of Relationships Vinash Persad Expository Essay Wk2 Three Types of Relationships Human relationships have always perplexed me. These seemingly simple bonds between people can amount to so much and cause such commotion that lives change drastically within minutes in these relationships. Especially in the fast changing world of today. In my piece I am going to be telling you about the three types of relationships I see taking place. Over time, I have asked myself three questions, finding the answers along the way, which is what I will be explaining to you. To begin, how much does one compromise on self gratification for the sake of commitment? Or should one compromise at all in the name of love? Finally, what happens when love is found outside ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Compromising in the name love is just wrong to do; whatever the circumstances. This sort of actions you would find in arranged marriages and usually it is the female that has to make this compromise and suffer. A classic example of this type of relationship can be seen in arranged marriages in Indian families, but these are not limited for Indian families in India; these can still be seen in American or other parts of the world where Indian or Muslim families reside. Only true love can set them free of this compromise but it just ends up in a big blunder because it would create a lot of friction and pose a lot of questions. When someone truly loves, they expect to have it back in return. Not an act. Lastly, what happens when love is found outside ones commitment? This to me is a sad thing but also a happy thing when it is dealt with maturely and with much understanding. Regarding my earlier points; imagine in this compromise that is made. It takes a true person to understand when love is found outside a relationship by the compromising partner. Although the other party is strongly in love with this person, they would understand that this was not their love story after all and should be happy that their partner found theirs. Yes it is a sad thing to happen in a relationship, but when one understands the meaning of true love only then they can let go without any qualms. In conclusion I would ... • 32. Eco Terrorism and Violence in The United States Eco terrorism has been said by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to be the most significant domestic terror threat facing the United States today ( Environmental ). This assumption could not be any more true. Everyday, the lives of many innocent citizens and animals are put in danger just for a group of people to try to make a statement about what they believe is right, and what they believe is wrong. These actions are usually committed by individuals who believe that the exploitation of natural resources and despoliation of the environment are becoming so severe that action outside of conventional legal and environmental channels is required ( Ecoterrorism. Pollution). Although this may be effective in getting the wanted attention ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Though most groups are targeting the higher ups in a business or production, many of the lower level workers are being harmed in their attempts. Putting people in danger to make a statement is not the right way to approach the situation. Legal actions should, and are often taken against these individuals that see it necessary to cause destruction to fix a problem. Because of their violent actions, environmental activists have been legally deemed terrorists. They have inflicted millions of dollars in damages and have maimed innocent people ( Ecoterrorism: The Dangerous ). The term Eco terrorist came into play because the goal of these domestic terrorists are the same as those of international terrorists; to threaten a legitimately elected government through causing domestic unrest and threatening the peaceful orderliness of society ( Environmental ). Main targets of these acts include forestation projects, hydro electric operations, resource production, and land based telecommunication and energy services (Nilson). The term terrorist has also been labeled upon on these activists because the means utilized by domestic terrorists are very similar to those of international terrorists. Both groups target unarmed civilians and carry out violent attacks without there being a war. • 33. Cooking The Revolution During The Nineteenth Century Cooking the Revolution HTS Submission to Fabrizio Ballabio Leticia Dadalto In the nineteenth Century the kitchen worked as the machinery. It had to be the biggest room of the plan in order to support all the apparatus needed for the housework: the stove, the sewing machine and the fridge were basically built in architecture elements. That results in a very unhealthy and harsh environment that keeps the house working. Each family had its own house and its own land where their own food was produced and their own clothes were sewn by the enslaved housewife: the whole system was based in isolation (Hayden, 1982). It is curious to notice how Woman s History started changing around design iterations of this once oppressive space. In the mid 1800, names like Ernest Engels, Charles Fourier, Melusina Fey Peirce, the Beecher sisters and Louise Bourgeous started to propose different organisations. The Material Feminists, who believed in the economical independence of woman as the way to provide them freedom, were supported by the Community Socialists (or Utopian Socialists) for the creation of ideal societies with no distinction between class or gender (Hayden, 1982:10). The support between these thinkers emphasises that in order to change woman s condition there is a need for changing the home design as well as the household and the economical system. The patriarchic organisation of the house can be considered a political economical system in a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The film focused on the General Motors (GM) layoffs that happened in Flint Michigan, Michaels home town, in the late 1980 s. The CEO, Roger Smith, decided to layoff over 30,000 people and to close down the GM factory that is in Flint. When Moore found out about the layoffs he wanted to find out more about it and to also speak with Roger Smith. Many of the people of Flint were very angry with Smith. There was a production of people who wanted to interview and talk with Smith and also the people who were laid off and also the people who just lived in the town of Flint. Smith was not clear on why he was making the layoffs to the workers, but Moore does confront Tom Kay about the issue. Kay s response was that Smith made the layoffs to increase their profit and they will do that by opening a factory in Mexico and hiring people down there to work for less pay. Moore then was on the hunt for Smith trying to interview and speak with him. Moore spent three year chasing Smith across the country and he never did get to speak with Roger Smith.
