How Does Polonius Manipulate Hamlet
Throughout the course of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, tragedy in five acts Polonius is proven to have a
hand in the functions of the monarchy. He continuously observes the goings on in the castle, reports
back to the king and tried to manipulate people under command of the king. At the end of Act III
Polonius is murdered by Hamlet, which represents the coming fall of the monarchy. Polonius is
initially introduced to us in Act I as being in charge of Hamlet s love interest, Ophelia. He uses
Ophelia in an attempt to manipulate Hamlet in Act II, and to expose his true reason for insanity. He is
the right hand man of the king when this ruse is taking place, hiding with him behind the tapestry
again. He found himself behind the tapestry once again

The Book The Art Of Deception By Kevin Mitnick
Intro This paper will be on the book The Art of Deception by Kevin Mitnick. I will be exclusively
summarizing Chapter 3: The Direct Attack: Just Asking for It. First, for a slight background on the
author Kevin Mitnick, he is known for being the most famous hacker ever. He used dumpster diving
and social engineering to get information from some of the largest companies and he would use
passwords and codes to gain access. He has been arrested multiple times the most famous in 1995
after a well publicized pursuit, where he was arrested in North Carolina for computer hacking and
wire fraud. He wrote the book The Art of Deception to show real life examples of how social
engineering can be used with hacking, and also how the hacking can be ... Show more content on

This article notes that these attacks have companies more concerned now because these
cybercriminals are now targeting companies more than the customers. As Mitnick talked about how
hackers will go after company information, more than the users in Chapter 3, this article discusses the
dangers companies are having with this Ransomware. The article then talks about the lack of
awareness from the companies about this attack method. Also how the attackers are always trying to
stay in advance of the companies defenses by creating new attack methods. Another problem this
article covers is that many companies are actually paying the ransoms because they do not have good
back up systems. In a result of all the companies who end up paying the ransoms, this makes the
Ransomware attack more eye catching to the hackers. The FBI has been trying to inform these
companies about the problem but over the past few months it still has not improved. Many companies
end up paying the hackers the ransom just so they can have their files, and be able to run their
business. The companies that are the most vulnerable are the ones where they don t have the proper
protocol in position, and that do not have the proper backup procedures. Another reason for the
increase in Ransomware attacks is because of how easy it is for a hacker to use and get a lot of

Archaeologist Job Description
Jude Aquila Lambert Ms Vered Solomon Individuals and societies 3rd August 2017 Expository essay
The Job Description of an Archaeologist is to examine artefacts and history that range from prehistoric
to modern times. Archaeologists gain information by excavating areas of interest. When finding bones
and things that people used in the past it gives them valuable information. Archelogy is important
because it helps us widen our understanding. The qualities and skills that are needed by an
Archaeologist are and eye for detail. They need patience and perseverance; they also need to be able to
work well in a team. Often they will have to live in harsh conditions, for months at a time. Living in
dusty, hot, dry climates. It is helpful if they have strong ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Where and when an excavation takes place is contingent upon the archaeologist s research project and
the local weather. Excavation season is typically during the summer and archaeological digs typically
last one week to three months, Before, during and after archaeologists dig for artefacts, they collect
data about the archaeological site, record interviews and make notes of their observations. Some types
of data include photographs, maps, soil samples, measurements, drawings and detailed reports about
the excavation. Archaeologists also survey the site using GPS technology and other electronic devices
and input data into databases. Artefacts discovered and obtained through excavation undergo a
conservation process in a lab. They are cleaned and restored by trained conservators, and as the items
are stabilized, additional notes are made to record their characteristics. Archaeologists are typically
actively involved in conservation activities and may take measures to ensure laws exist to preserve the
sites. They want to protect cultural heritage by ensuring sites and remains are properly

Preludes J Alfred Prufrock
In compliance with Jeanette Winterson s perspective, the struggle for resolution and meaning within
the Modern world due to the rapidly changing social context of the era is underscored through the
judicious use of poetic rhythms and images which has contributed to the enduring value of poetry. The
internal struggles due to the contradicting desire for relationships and the desire for solidarity, and the
uncertainty that underpins the search for spiritual fulfilment are encapsulated in T.S. Eliot s poetry.
This notion can be seen particularly through the thorough examination of Eliot s poems Preludes
(1917) and The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock (1915) as the audiences over time are exposed to the
complexity of the human psyche which illuminates ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eliot displays these stresses of Modern Urban life through the dramatic monologue of the protagonist
Prufrock in his poem The Love Song of J.Alfred Prufrock which the speaker embarks on a journey to
try to overcome the powerful sense of meaninglessness in the world that has lost its religious faith.
The poem opens up with Prufrock constantly repeating the phrase Let us go which is an invitation for
the reader to travel with Prufrock as tries to find meaning in life. This is due to the epigraph presented
earlier whereby it alludes to Count Guido who is trapped in Hell and must endure the same limited
experience for eternity. This intertextual reference acts as a mirror to Prufrock s psyche, asserting his
dour thoughts on how his life is stalling and meaningless. Prufrock states how he has measured out my
life in coffee spoons which captures the unfulfilling and boring nature of Prufrock s life. This
metaphorical comparison crystallises how his life is carefully calculated and lived in small and
measured amounts, affirming the banality of his life. Thus Prufrock embarks on an active search for
meaning as evidenced by the line Let us go .... Streets that follow like a tedious argument if insidious
intent to lead you to an overwhelming question ... do not ask What is it let go make our visit . Despite
the modern society suggesting there is no answer to the overwhelming question he can t help but
pursue it because it is purely instinctive. However, nearing the end of the poem Prufrock states even
though he has wept and fasted, wept and prayed he exaggerates that he is stretched on the floor which
reveals how his spiritual journey has tore him apart as there was no

The Concept Of Copying Designs
The concept of copying designs dates to a 100 years. In 1903, British designer Charles Frederick
Worth was the first to place a signature on the labels of his creations as a means of authenticating
them. Madeleine Vionnet made her little horses dress in 1924 that was sold without her permission
and sought out the idea to thumbprint her designs. Coco Chanel s woolen suits were a mark for
counterfeits. She saw copies as promotion and was cited saying, Fashion should slip out of your
hands. The very idea of protecting the seasonal arts is childish. One should not bother to protect that
which dies the minute it is born (Faking It). Counterfeiting is a trend that has infested corporations
infinitely. The fashion industry generally has taken huge feats due to the legal problems of
counterfeiting. It can be described as fighting a losing war because a brand s reputation is weakened
once counterfeits are reachable to the public. We see this as one walks the street of Canal in New
Orleans where street hustlers try to attract to the public by screaming Louis, Gucci, Rolex at
passersby, scoping possible buyers into side back streets or invisible upstairs rooms. Inexpensive
prices for expensive designer goods force young buyers into the counterfeit markets. The average
buyer may marvel the question with purchasing cheaper products that look the same if they can still
look good in them. Counterfeiting is the act of making an imitation of an original, with the intent to

The Four Learning Methods In Aid Of Learning
Learning Assets
In considerations for the various new techniques that have been added to the classroom in aid of
learning, the four learning assets I have chosen to infuse are the lecture, videos, discussion/blogs and a
test/ quiz component. The vision is that the setup will improve operations and enhance learning. The
current LMS is supported by the technical department on staff. The video embedding will avoid
trainees and students from having to hyperlink to another page and working through expired links or
browser issues.
The lectures will be recorded, so they will be able to be viewed off site. The lectures for the most part
will be synchronous, with breaks for note taking and a question and answer period. The dialog will not
be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The goal is for the lecture to be a synchronous event. Happening at the various sites at a set time. The
other components would be asynchronous. Giving individuals to go over the material in a more
remote setting that may work better for them, yet still giving them access to the instructor if they are
unclear about any part of the material. Nian shing (2006) explains that synchronous learning
environments, provide savings in terms of time and cost, in many situations they can also outperform
both asynchronous online instruction and traditional face‐to‐face . The hope is that the flexibility and
options would prove helpful for the learners. Just like the video and discussion, the test portion being
asynchronous would allow for the learners to operate under their best elements and results would be
best then rather forcing all learners to operate under the same mechanism.
Goals
By the end of the training sessions members of His and Her should be able to:
1) List vision and mission of the company.
2) Create concise and effective lesson plans.
3) Pass all modules on compliance requirements for students with disabilities classrooms.
4) Be familiar with workplace behavior and guidelines
5) Display a firm understanding of First Aid and Safety measures.
A simple blog or discussion would suffice for our first two curriculum objectives. The individuals
would just need to show their comprehension of these, not

Womanhood In Toni Morrison s Sula
Sula is such a complicated character that it is difficult to define her. She is an unusual child that
matures into a determined woman, resisting suppression and hatred from the community in which she
lives. She is neither positive nor idealistic, and refuses to place herself in a space where she will be
relegated as the other of the other . Her complex characteristics and unusual behavior consistently
deconstructs and questions stereotypical images of black womanhood and womanhood in general. Her
description of black women is realistic and varied. Embodying autonomy, curiosity, irregularity,
passion and danger, she represents the new black woman who challenges social norms and determines
to live a disillusioned life. As the new modern black ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But soon, a devastating frost overtakes the area and the moral righteousness that Sula frightens into in
the community begins to dissolve. Mothers who had defended their children from Sula s malevolence
(or who had defended their positions as mothers from Sula s scorn for the role) now had nothing to rub
up against...Now that Sula was dead and done with, they returned to steeping resentment of the
burdens of old people. Wives uncoddled their husbands; there seemed no further need to reinforce
vanity. (Sula 153 54) The community s moral resolve and harmony dissolve in the absence of Sula, the
woman who by defying social conventions motivated others to uphold them. No longer is the witch
the focus of their collective energies. The disintegration of the collective identity of the community,
which was defined by Sula s presence, is replaced with isolation between residents. This unfocused
energy is perhaps a reason to the residents attack on the tunnel that leads to their death. In her absence,

Closed Reduction Speech
Introduction
A closed reduction is a procedure to align bones that have moved out of place. A knee dislocation
occurs when one of the leg bones slips out of its normal position in the knee socket. It typically
involves the bones in the lower leg (tibia or fibula) in relation to the thigh bone (femur). Knee
dislocation in a leg with an artificial (prosthetic) knee joint is not common. When this injury occurs, it
is a medical emergency that needs to be treated right away.
A closed reduction is not surgery. It is done without cutting your skin open. During a closed reduction,
a health care provider will rotate your bone and apply pressure to put the bone back into the socket.
Tell a health care provider about:
Any allergies you have.

A splint, brace, immobilizer, or cast will be placed to hold the knee in position while it heals.
The procedure may vary among health care providers and hospitals.
What happens after the procedure?
Your blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate, and blood oxygen level will be monitored until the
medicines you were given have worn off.
Imaging tests will be done to check whether there is damage to blood vessels or nerves around your
knee. This may include a test that involves injecting a special dye into your blood vessels and looking
at the dye through a CT scan (angiogram). An MRI or Doppler ultrasound could also be done.
You may need to wear the splint, brace, immobilizer, or cast for up to 6 weeks. You may be given
crutches to help you move around.
Do not drive for 24 hours if you were given a sedative.

Eulogy Of A Humorous Wedding
We are all gathered today to commemorate my life. Here I am, lying in my coffin, wearing full white
dress, and excessive make up to hide how pale I am today. Some may say that I lived a very short life.
And that I was a very nice person, but I was not. I was a girl who does a lot of bad things for the one I
loved. I was the girl who swears a lot even it was not needed. I was a girl who disobeys my parents
just for some guy who did not even deserve it. I was a sinner, and that may be the reason why I died
early. Let me talk about my life. My life was indeed short, too short for me to experience pure
happiness. I had an exciting life. I learned how to value the people who were in my life. I learned how
to accept that not all people will stay.

Wouter Kellerman Characteristics
1. INTRODUCTION
Wouter Kellerman, a South African flautist, has made an impact in the music world, specifically that
of world music . Developing his own unique cross over style, Kellerman has gained both national and
international fame as indicated by winning a number of prestigious awards and performing at several
prominent national and international events, in addition to concert tours. Furthermore, Kellerman has
released a number of recorded albums, which have been distributed around the world and have
received critical acclaim. However, one of the most notable characteristics of Kellerman is his status
as a cross over engineer musician something which significantly influenced the course of his life and
career.
2. LIFE
2.1 Childhood
Wouter Kellerman grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa. Growing up, only classical music was
played in the house, as his parents enjoyed it, thus exposing him to Western art music and enabling
him to develop a love for this genre of music. His love for African music also developed during this
time. When his mother went to work, Kellerman was looked after by a woman who constantly played
African music, thus exposing him to these musical influences from an early age. Additionally,
Kellerman would continually listen to the radio, exposing him ... Show more content on

majority of musicians are only, and have ever been, musicians. Indeed, Kellerman s cross over status
could be related to alterity as found in class (Beard Gloag 2010: 8 9), as, in today s society, engineers
are often viewed as having a higher status than that of musicians, specifically those who perform art

Causes Of The Potato Famine
What was the cause of the potato famine. Well Ireland was hit by an airborne fungus that turned the
potatoes to mud before they got out of the ground and rotted them quicker. Potatoes were the main
food in Ireland especially for the poor. Without potatoes many died while others immigrated. The
potato famine caused a lot of death, immigration, and also got help from surrounding areas. Many
people immigrated , some just sooner than others. Between 1845 and 1870 there were at least three
million Irish immigrants (Famine,Irish. The Oxford Company). This shows how devastating and
terrible the famine was to drive three million people out of their own country. Landlords would first

Documentation In Nursing
Stay out of court with proper documentation, by Sally Austin, is a great eye opener to how crucial it is
to document in the health care field as a nurse. As many know, nurses are extremely busy throughout
their day, and as a result, many of them find it difficult to find the time to document in their patient s
medical record. According to the article, a medical record is a legal document required by law and
other regulatory bodies. Therefore, it must be done so the patient gets the best and most accurate care.
The medical record is also one of the first places people look when a lawsuit is brought up or
something goes wrong, so documentation needs to be done properly and in a timely manner. The
article gives five suggestions on how to avoid errors and complications in documentation which are:

One suggestion that the article gave that I will be putting to use is that of documenting right away, if at
all possible. As mentioned above, nurses are very busy and if a nurse does not document right away
there is a good chance it will not get done, and if it does it may not be done correctly or forgotten.
Another topic that stood out to me was that it is my legal responsibility, as a nurse, to document on the
patient s medical record. If I do not document it it legally did not happen; therefore, I will have to
suffer the penalties of those actions or lack thereof. Finally, I learned how serious and critical it is to
document and to do it properly. Before I read this article, I knew it was important, but after reading
this article it really sunk in that documenting should be taken more seriously. The patient s medical
record is the go to place for health providers in providing care, and it is also one of the first places
people look when something goes

Those who judge character through beauty are blind. Toni Morrison s The Bluest Eye determines how
the individuals are alienated from their society through physical appearances. Throughout The Bluest
Eye, the factors that determine, contribute, and provide an escape from, segregation are discussed.
This novel emphasizes the unfortunate life of protagonist Pecola Breedlove by exhibiting her class
conflict, mental state, physical attractiveness, and much more. Pecola is a subject to characteristics of
society that were responsible for classifying her as an other.
Entities within this society are prone to being ostracized by uncontrolled external factors. Black

whites are worshiped as though they portray mere perfection Rosemary Villanucci. Rosemary ... Show

Birth Order Children
Birth Order: The Effects Associated with Parenting
Birth order is defined as the order children are born within a family. The order is separated into
different categories including first born, middle child, youngest child, and/or only child. The pattern
sticks to a tri level repetitive cycle. If there are more than three children within a family, then the
pattern starts over from first born, middle child, and then again to the youngest. The research all
started with Alfred Adler. He began his research by looking at the order children were born in, and
how it affected their personalities and development. Today, research has looked at many more factors
than just personality and child development. Other characteristics that may be affected by ... Show

The question at hand is whether or not there is a difference in parental sensitivity depending the sex of
the parent and/or child. Fathers have known to show less sensitivity than mothers. Fathers also tend to
be viewed as the breadwinners in the family, which may be a changing process. A longitudinal study
was done by Hallers Haalboom to look at the parenting of mothers and fathers toward their sons and
daughters of households with two children. Fathers show more differential treatment towards their
children than mothers do. Birth order can be affected by age, and gender specifics as well. When
parenting is taken into account, there could be various of changes from a firstborn male to the last
born female who happens to be five years younger than her brother. The idea that men have to hold a
more masculine stamina shows through with parental treatment towards their children. Parents have a
higher outcome of treating a daughter with more sensitivity than towards their sons (Hallers
Haalboom, 2014). The study found that mothers were indeed more sensitive and nonintrusive with
their children than fathers were, which flows with how society also looks at parental roles and
personalities among mothers and fathers. This study also shows that there is differential treatment
among birth order with parenting styles and

where the figures are surrounded by trees and grass, however, the roughly painted background lacks
depth and the perspective is ignored giving the viewer the impression that the scene is more suggested
than painted and that it does not take place in an outdoor, but in a studio. This impression is reinforced
by an unrefined light that casts no shadows. Nevertheless, flat application of color, and lack of subtle
gradation are obvious in the painting. Manet did not hide the brushstrokes on purpose, there are even

Persuasive School Violence
Imagine this, a parent just sent his/her kid to school. The parent is worried if they will meet someone
new in their class. The parent is casually watching the news and hears that there was a shooting at her
child s school. The adult begins to worry and rushes to the school. The parent was notified that her
child was safe and secure; but soon to find out, the child s friend that she had just made, was shot by
the gunman. Throughout the years, school violence has become a controversial topic in the press.
Parents do not want to keep worrying when they send his/her child to school. The parent should be at
ease when they send their son or daughter to a safe environment. School violence needs to be stopped
in its place as soon as possible! The first reason school violence should be stopped, is for the school to
become a safer environment for the child. Some schools are already giving background checks to
incoming visitors that enter the school building. All schools need to get this program as soon as they
can. This program sees if the visitor is a registered sex offender, a felony, and and major crimes on
their record. The visitor would be denied entry and not allowed into the building. This safety
precaution would make the United States schools an extremely better environment for the future
students of the upcoming generation. Another way to make schools safer is to educate everyone.

The human papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most common causes of sexually transmitted disease
in both men and women around the world, especially in developing countries, where the occurrence of
asymptomatic infection varies from 2 to 44%, depending on the population and studied region. Most
HPV infection is transient and some studies show that the majority of sexually active individuals are
exposed to and acquire infection from this virus at some phase in their lives. HPV infection is more
prevalent in young adults, at the beginning of their sexual activity, which is more important to detect
the virus at the early edge to prevent from the most damages in the later of life that leads to less
impact in the economy in their country and family too. with a subsequent decline in the prevalence
rate with increasing age, likely as a result of development of an immune response against the virus and
reduction of sexual activity. At a molecular level, HPV positive squamous cell carcinoma less
frequently harbours gross chromosomal deletions than HPV negative squamous cell carcinoma, and
has a unique molecular signature characterized by overexpression of the tumour suppressor protein
(p16) and infrequent TP53 mutations or EGFR amplification, these molecular markers (p16)
overexpression is of particular importance as it has emerged as robust surrogate biomarker of HPV

Adler s The Neglect Of The Intellect Sloth
In his article The Neglect of the Intellect: Sloth, Mortimer J. Adler asserts that the disuse of a person s
intellect is a moral injustice. Adler coins the term sloth to describe the people committing this moral
crime. He believes that people should use their intellectual abilities for their own personal pleasure
rather than for economic or political gain. Adler employs an aggressive tone when describing the
abuse of the intellect, and appeals to the reader s emotion when portraying intellect as a way the only
way to live a morally good life. Adler s purpose is to convince his readers that intellect should be used
solely for the purpose of increasing knowledge. While Adler s article gives a reasonably convincing
argument about learning for your own well being, he fails to support his claims, baffles his readers
with the overuse of intelligent sounding words, and neglects to explain why you should be intellectual
just for the sake of it. Alder fails to support his claims. Because of this, his claims come across as
opinions, not allegations. In paragraph 4, Adler says, Sloth is a moral fault, but unlike injustice that
results in misconduct toward others, sloth is a moral fault that causes the misconduct of the individual
s private life. This quote demonstrates how Adler makes a statement, but never elaborates on it. He
calls the sloth a moral fault, but doesn t explain how that is true. Adler also mentions that your private
life will be affected, but never precedes to explain how that could happen. Another example is when
Adler states, But there are a great many more who have sufficient ability to make the effort and fail to
do so (paragraph 3). Adler neglects to explain to the reader how this statement is true. He later lists the
activities of the people he referred to engage in, but he never demonstrates an example of failure to
use their intellectual abilities. Adler s failure to support his claims discredits his argument. Throughout
his article, Adler uses intellectual language that can make it hard for his audience to read. Words he
uses like lethargy and torpor take away from the purpose of his article. Adler is trying to convince his
audience to seek knowledge for enjoyment, but his

John Locke Second Practice Of Government
In this essay, I will argue that the Lockean theory does justify indigenous people s moral right to
engage in armed rebellions for the purpose of overthrowing the governments of Canada and the
United States of America. I will defend this thesis by arguing that both settler states are illegitimate as
their abuse of power beyond their right/authority over the natives nations lead to wrongful
appropriation of territory and failure in recognizing the natives form of governance as one of a
political community. To justify the appropriation of native land, Lock s theory of property became
very important, morally speaking, for the settlers states. However, because John Locke had vested
interests in the Europeans North American settling, his views ... Show more content on

Therefore, in John Locke s theory of property, there was a right of settlement for anyone who wanted
to control the forest and improve its productivity. However, Locke also wrote in his work, Second
Treatise of Government , that one appropriating land through its improvement must leave enough and
as good for others (chapter 5, Sect. 27). In the context of Europeans settling on hunting ground, it
would mean that native people were left as well off as they were before the settlements. Clearly,
Locke s proviso was violated as natives found themselves worse off because of European settlements.
Indeed, because most settlements were on hunting land, it had a direct and negative impact on the
indigenous people s living conditions. As demonstrated in the previous paragraph, Locke failed to
recognize the indigenous people s political community, therefore granting them legal authority over
land. It is true that native people did not have the typical European political system they did not have
the original three powers of a government (legislative/executive/judicial) which John Locke
considered, in his newly narrow perspective of forming a political community, to be very important in
recognizing a civil society. I submit another overriding interpretation of John Locke s theory of social
contract, which is that the very purpose of the government is more important than the political
organization of the government itself. Indeed, Locke s theory of constitution government revolves
around how the states should be organized, while his theory of social contract determine explicitly
what makes government legitimate. As previously demonstrated above, it is true that the native form
of leadership did not have the typical European separation of power. Notwithstanding

Argumentative Synthesis The Things They Carried
Argumentative Synthesis
The Things They Carried Tim O Brien, having the memories of war engraved in his mind, recalls the
memories of his youth during battle in The Things They Carried, an intriguing collection of military
accounts that symbolize his attempt to resist closure from past experiences. O Brien s story reflects the
difficult choices people have to make in their struggle to confront the war waging inside their bodies
as well as on the ground they tread. In Steven Kaplan s criticism, The Undying Uncertainty of the
Narrator in Tim O Brien s The Things They Carried, he explores the uncertainty and inevitability that
lies in the path of each soldier through their military conquest of Than Khe. In context to O Brien s ...

The items the soldiers carry hold a substantial amount of credibility throughout each personal story;
however, within O Brien s story, he lacks credibility aside from the obvious tangible elements of the
items held, questioning where the truth lies within these evidential fragments of the soldiers lives.
These personal accounts of exact measurements attest the reader s knowledge of war as well as the
mental ability to calculate the exact weight upon each person s hump through a fiction of mental and
emotional agility. O Brien quotes within Chen s criticism stating, A true war story, if truly told, makes
the stomach believe (Chen 77). This background knowledge of O Brien s theory that an absolute
occurrence is irrelevant because a true war story does not depend upon that kind of truth, (Chen 77)
places the credibility of the information upon the emotional accounts that O Brien s writing bestows
upon the personalities of the soldiers. The academic tone that at times makes the narrative sound like a
government report (Kaplan 45), adds documentation like analysis of these compilations of war
endeavors as told by the narrator. Kaplan continues that the transitional phrases such as for instance

5 Ways to Use Flashlight on Android Quickly
Smartphones are the modern Swizz army knives. We use them for much more than just calling and
texting in fact, most people spend more time doing other things than what the mobile phones were
originally designed to do. One of the coolest features in modern phones is the flashlight function.
Having a flashlight on your phone is actually practical. You often have your phone nearby, whereas
you probably keep your actual flashlight in an obscure closet. So, when the power goes off, you are
more likely to find your phone before you can stumble your way to find the torch.
Now, Android phones come with a flashlight function as a built in feature in most models. If your

A Brief Note On The World Of Greece And Iceland
Bucket List:
What on My Bucket List Most people live busy all the time by doing something in their lives. So,
what do they live for? Indeed, are we living in a dream? Most people would be answer No. Therefore,
we truly need to live the way we really want to do before we die. Thus, I realize, I should do that what
I want to do in my life. For this reason, I made a bucket list with three categories: personal, academic,
and professional. The first thing on my personal bucket list is to travel to Europe, but above all, I want
to go to Greece and Iceland. One day, I watched a Korean reality travel program Youth over Flowers,
which showed young people backpacking with little money. Therefore, I thought that was how youth
should be. Since then, I have been wanting to go to Greece and Iceland by myself. If I could go there,
I would like to go to Santorini Island in Greece, which is the most beautiful place I have seen on TV,
and it looks peaceful with a blue ocean. Salome M. Krell and David Farrell describe Santorini as an
unforgettable beauty when they say, I . . . have fallen in love with this spellbinding place (3). For this
reason, I would like to go Santorini, and I would like to drink wine on the terrace overlooking the sea;
I will feel relaxed and free. Then, I would like to visit Iceland. Iceland is one of the best places to view
the northern lights, although it is hard to see aurora because of the clouds and weather. The authors of

The Tales Of The Heike Analysis
Option 2
War has been a constant deterrent in humanities pursuit for peace. Many innocent people are affected
and persecuted in horrendous ways, and may even ask why is this happening to them. However in The
Tales of the Heike, the losers know exactly why they are losing and suffering. This warrior tale tells
the story of the Genji clan having the advantage over the Heike clan in war. They believe it was all
due to their leader, Chancellor Kiyomori, abusing his power and obtaining bad karma not only for
himself but also for his clan as well. But instead of the story showing how triumphant and righteous
the victors are, it instead written in a certain tone and has imagery that invokes the reader to
sympathize with the losing side. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example. as the Genji were getting closer to the capital the Heike had to leave their homes which
they have lived in for generations. The Heike leaders were able to flee the capital with all of their
family but for commoners they had to leave them behind. It is then described that, those departing and
those left behind alike should wet their sleeves with tears (1296). This personally invokes an image of
a child wiping his tears away with their sleeve, in both the young and old, as they see their loved ones
leaving for the last time. So you really have to sympathize with the Heike because the innocent people
are affected more than their leaders. Later on as the Heike flee from their home and burned the
imperial palace, it also described their surroundings as, the dawn cries of deer... [and] the moon
reflected in the tears on their sleeves (1297). The tone set can be said that it is melancholic and it
provides a clear image of how not only are they saddened by this, but also

contest that was held and got Draupadi s hand in marriage. The remaining Kshatriyas some were
watching the scene unfold infront of them and some started to revolt but seeing his other four brothers

Kunti to see what they have got from royal household and Kunti then asked them to share whatever it
is among themselves without seeing what was is or rather who was is it that they were talking about.
So carelessness of a woman made other woman suffer. This was not just little incident but it impacted
the whole life of Draupadi. She was always taunted because of this but in actuality this was not her
mistake. Draupadi and Sita are both victims of male society. Sita was victim of lust of Ravana and the
revenge that burned inside Shrupnakha. After marriage there was never a peace of moment for

Diode Laser Therapy Essay
Laser therapy has been postulated as an alternative or adjunctive treatment to periodontal therapy. The
bactericidal and detoxifying effects of the diode laser during non surgical periodontal treatment have
been documented. Also for patients with aggressive periodontitis (AgP), the use of a diode laser with
scaling and root planning (SRP) has shown a superior effect over SRP or the laser alone for certain
parameters. Moritz et al concluded a significant reduction in the amount of bacteria and inflammation
using a diode laser in combination with SRP. However controversy remains concerning the efficacy of
diode laser therapy during periodontal treatment. The results of some studies did not demonstrate
effectiveness of the combination of laser and SRP therapy over SRP alone in terms of microbiologic
and gingival inflammation parameters. The aim of the study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of a

The Fight For Women s Rights
In pre civil war America women were thought of as subordinate to men and thus had less rights than
free black men. African American and White women had similar political positions and rights besides
the fact that white women could own slaves with their family. They even performed the same jobs
when it came to house work. Black slaves were thought of to have 3/5s a vote in the senate while
women had none. Abolitionist and anti slavery movements arose along with the thought that people
should rally to abolish slavery and give free slaves rights. It was never before a movement to fight for
women s rights and thus educated women began to realize they must fight for their own rights.

Book Analysis Of Olaudah Equiano
Reading Response 2: the child Olaudah Equiano becoming the man slave Gustavas Vasa.
Olaudah Equiano was a righteous man who was stolen from his home as a child, and made into a
slave. Through Equiano s time as a slave he endured many hardships and made many friends who he
would never see again due to death, or the slave trade. Equiano made a memoir to show readers what
it was like to be a slave, and to show his hardship through his own eyes without showing himself as
someone who is looking for compassion or compensation of any kind. I believe Equiano just had a
story to tell to let out all of the misery, and chaos he had held in for many years. This reading response
is focused on Equiano s transition from having a normal life to becoming a slave.
Olaudah Equiano was born in Essaka in 1745 in Nigeria. Equiano s father was a chief in his village, so
the life of Equiano as a kid was comforting and satisfying. The slave trade in Guinea spread all
through Nigeria s coast. Equiano said that part of Africa, known by the name of Guinea, to which the
trade for slaves is carried on, extends along the coast above 3400 miles, from Senegal to Angola, and
includes a variety of kingdoms . (Equiano, p.356) Due to the high frequency of slave trade around
Equiano s village, while the adults would tend to their crops, instead of playing games Equiano and
other children would keep watch for men who would sneak into their village and kidnap children for

woe is me attitude creates tension in the story; while a tough decision he must make drives the plot.
The selfishness, naivety, and age of the young waiter and Nathan all create tension that propels the
plots. Without the young waiter in A Clean, Well Lighted Place, there would be little plot or
symbolism. The young waiter is of course young, but also self seeking and inconsiderate. Throughout
the entire plot development of the story, his only interest is in leaving the bar to return home to his
girlfriend. He has no regard for the old man drinking in the bar. One exchange of dialogue between the

No one but you counts (Leavitt, pp. 1056). This is evidence of Nathan either being selfish or naive
about Celia s needs. Either way, Nathan is constantly preventing Celia from moving on with her own
life. Since the story is narrated in first person from Celia s point of view, it is hard for the reader to
know exactly why he acts the way he does. When Celia helps Nathan clean his destroyed apartment is
another example of how Nathan s selfish and immature nature plays a role in plot development. When
Nathan returns from Europe to find his apartment in shambles, he immediately calls Celia to rescue
him. Nathan s dependency on Celia is a sign of immaturity. It is never revealed why Nathan refuses
the test or has a continued reliance on Celia, but it can be inferred, from Celia s thoughts, that it is
because Nathan is selfish and immature. However, without Nathan s imperfections and personality
traits, there would not be much of a

Set It Off Movie
What kind of movies do you enjoy watching with your freetime? Movies to me are stories told from a
different point of view for your enjoyment. I personally love all different types of movies but if I had
to choose two of my favorites it would be action and dramas. My favorite movie is Set it Off , because
there is a lot of drama and action, there s never a dull moment throughout the entire movie. Set it Off
was filmed in 1996 it soon became very popular, it also starred many talented actresses such as Jada
Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, Vivica Fox etc. It s mostly about four women who were going through
hard times and decided to start robbing banks just to get by. At the beginning their robberies were
successful, but soon they attract the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Anyways this movie doesn t relate to me because I ve never robbed a bank but I have felt some of the
emotions. At a point of time I was so nervous about doing something I had never done before. But, it
couldn t have been as stressful and and nerve racking as about to rob a bank. One time i had got a
phone call home in elementary and I thought about what my moms reaction would be when I got
home. I was o scared when i got home I didn t even really get in trouble all she did was sit down me
and had a long talk. Just that talk made me feel as if I should apologize to my mom and my teacher
and get my act together. This movie does also remind me of the time I stole some candy from the
corner store when I was 11. I will never forget that day my mom kept saying she was going to call the
police, of course she didn t but just to scare me. It worked too, I started crying and saying don t call
please I was really scared and thought she was serious. I promised her I would never do it again and I
really stuck to it and stayed on the right track. Since then I ve never taken anything without permission
or unless it was given to me

Munny s Journey In Unforgiven
In the movie Unforgiven, it displays the rocky journey of William Munny with where he starts and
finishes as the killer of women and children. During his marriage and a bit after the death of his wife,
William Munny went through a rebirth and let go of his memories of the past in order to be not only a
good husband but a father to his two children. His journey starts when the Schofield kid asks William
to join him in killing two men that cut up a woman s face for the reward of $500 each; between not
wanting to go back to his life of being a killer and wanting to provide for his family Munny is torn. He
decides to take the kid up on his offer and gets his old partner Ned Logan to help him hunt down the
two men. Through the movie William is tempted to drink and have sex with Delilah but denies both
because his wife wouldn t approve, this being an example that William may not have come to terms
with her being dead and uses her as an excuse not to turn back into the killer that he ... Show more

He is put to the test with each challenge the group faces with a choice of either staying composed or
reverting, he remains composed and true to his promise until the final killing scene. He takes
compassion when having to kill the first guy by shooting the ground beside him to scare him and then
finally shooting him through the gut with his last shot. As for the second guy William lets the
Schofield kid kill him to ease his conscience and let the kid have his moment, only to find out that it
was his first and last kill. William tells the kid to drink after he kills to help take away the pain and to
forget what he did, just as William used to do when he would be drinking and would go out to shoot

  • 2. How Does Polonius Manipulate Hamlet Throughout the course of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, tragedy in five acts Polonius is proven to have a hand in the functions of the monarchy. He continuously observes the goings on in the castle, reports back to the king and tried to manipulate people under command of the king. • 3. The Book The Art Of Deception By Kevin Mitnick Intro This paper will be on the book The Art of Deception by Kevin Mitnick. I will be exclusively summarizing Chapter 3: The Direct Attack: Just Asking for It. First, for a slight background on the author Kevin Mitnick, he is known for being the most famous hacker ever. He used dumpster diving and social engineering to get information from some of the largest companies and he would use passwords and codes to gain access. He has been arrested multiple times the most famous in 1995 after a well publicized pursuit, where he was arrested in North Carolina for computer hacking and wire fraud. He wrote the book The Art of Deception to show real life examples of how social engineering can be used with hacking, and also how the hacking can be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This article notes that these attacks have companies more concerned now because these cybercriminals are now targeting companies more than the customers. As Mitnick talked about how hackers will go after company information, more than the users in Chapter 3, this article discusses the dangers companies are having with this Ransomware. The article then talks about the lack of awareness from the companies about this attack method. Also how the attackers are always trying to stay in advance of the companies defenses by creating new attack methods. Another problem this article covers is that many companies are actually paying the ransoms because they do not have good back up systems. In a result of all the companies who end up paying the ransoms, this makes the Ransomware attack more eye catching to the hackers. The FBI has been trying to inform these companies about the problem but over the past few months it still has not improved. Many companies end up paying the hackers the ransom just so they can have their files, and be able to run their business. The companies that are the most vulnerable are the ones where they don t have the proper protocol in position, and that do not have the proper backup procedures. Archaeologist Job Description Jude Aquila Lambert Ms Vered Solomon Individuals and societies 3rd August 2017 Expository essay The Job Description of an Archaeologist is to examine artefacts and history that range from prehistoric to modern times. Some types of data include photographs, maps, soil samples, measurements, drawings and detailed reports about the excavation. Archaeologists also survey the site using GPS technology and other electronic devices and input data into databases. Artefacts discovered and obtained through excavation undergo a conservation process in a lab. They are cleaned and restored by trained conservators, and as the items are stabilized, additional notes are made to record their characteristics. • 5. Preludes J Alfred Prufrock In compliance with Jeanette Winterson s perspective, the struggle for resolution and meaning within the Modern world due to the rapidly changing social context of the era is underscored through the judicious use of poetic rhythms and images which has contributed to the enduring value of poetry. The internal struggles due to the contradicting desire for relationships and the desire for solidarity, and the uncertainty that underpins the search for spiritual fulfilment are encapsulated in T.S. Eliot s poetry. This notion can be seen particularly through the thorough examination of Eliot s poems Preludes (1917) and The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock (1915) as the audiences over time are exposed to the complexity of the human psyche which illuminates ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Eliot displays these stresses of Modern Urban life through the dramatic monologue of the protagonist Prufrock in his poem The Love Song of J.Alfred Prufrock which the speaker embarks on a journey to try to overcome the powerful sense of meaninglessness in the world that has lost its religious faith. The poem opens up with Prufrock constantly repeating the phrase Let us go which is an invitation for the reader to travel with Prufrock as tries to find meaning in life. This is due to the epigraph presented earlier whereby it alludes to Count Guido who is trapped in Hell and must endure the same limited experience for eternity. This intertextual reference acts as a mirror to Prufrock s psyche, asserting his dour thoughts on how his life is stalling and meaningless. Prufrock states how he has measured out my life in coffee spoons which captures the unfulfilling and boring nature of Prufrock s life. This metaphorical comparison crystallises how his life is carefully calculated and lived in small and measured amounts, affirming the banality of his life. Thus Prufrock embarks on an active search for meaning as evidenced by the line Let us go .... Streets that follow like a tedious argument if insidious intent to lead you to an overwhelming question ... do not ask What is it let go make our visit . Despite the modern society suggesting there is no answer to the overwhelming question he can t help but pursue it because it is purely instinctive. • 6. The Concept Of Copying Designs The concept of copying designs dates to a 100 years. In 1903, British designer Charles Frederick Worth was the first to place a signature on the labels of his creations as a means of authenticating them. Madeleine Vionnet made her little horses dress in 1924 that was sold without her permission and sought out the idea to thumbprint her designs. Coco Chanel s woolen suits were a mark for counterfeits. She saw copies as promotion and was cited saying, Fashion should slip out of your hands. The very idea of protecting the seasonal arts is childish. One should not bother to protect that which dies the minute it is born (Faking It). Counterfeiting is a trend that has infested corporations infinitely. The fashion industry generally has taken huge feats due to the legal problems of counterfeiting. It can be described as fighting a losing war because a brand s reputation is weakened once counterfeits are reachable to the public. We see this as one walks the street of Canal in New Orleans where street hustlers try to attract to the public by screaming Louis, Gucci, Rolex at passersby, scoping possible buyers into side back streets or invisible upstairs rooms. Inexpensive prices for expensive designer goods force young buyers into the counterfeit markets. The average buyer may marvel the question with purchasing cheaper products that look the same if they can still look good in them. Adler coins the term sloth to describe the people committing this moral crime. He believes that people should use their intellectual abilities for their own personal pleasure rather than for economic or political gain. Adler employs an aggressive tone when describing the abuse of the intellect, and appeals to the reader s emotion when portraying intellect as a way the only way to live a morally good life. Adler s purpose is to convince his readers that intellect should be used solely for the purpose of increasing knowledge. While Adler s article gives a reasonably convincing argument about learning for your own well being, he fails to support his claims, baffles his readers with the overuse of intelligent sounding words, and neglects to explain why you should be intellectual just for the sake of it. Alder fails to support his claims. Because of this, his claims come across as opinions, not allegations. In paragraph 4, Adler says, Sloth is a moral fault, but unlike injustice that results in misconduct toward others, sloth is a moral fault that causes the misconduct of the individual s private life. This quote demonstrates how Adler makes a statement, but never elaborates on it. He calls the sloth a moral fault, but doesn t explain how that is true. Adler also mentions that your private life will be affected, but never precedes to explain how that could happen. Another example is when Adler states, But there are a great many more who have sufficient ability to make the effort and fail to do so (paragraph 3). Adler neglects to explain to the reader how this statement is true. He later lists the activities of the people he referred to engage in, but he never demonstrates an example of failure to use their intellectual abilities. Adler s failure to support his claims discredits his argument. Throughout his article, Adler uses intellectual language that can make it hard for his audience to read. Clearly, Locke s proviso was violated as natives found themselves worse off because of European settlements. Indeed, because most settlements were on hunting land, it had a direct and negative impact on the indigenous people s living conditions. As demonstrated in the previous paragraph, Locke failed to recognize the indigenous people s political community, therefore granting them legal authority over land. It is true that native people did not have the typical European political system they did not have the original three powers of a government (legislative/executive/judicial) which John Locke considered, in his newly narrow perspective of forming a political community, to be very important in recognizing a civil society. I submit another overriding interpretation of John Locke s theory of social contract, which is that the very purpose of the government is more important than the political organization of the government itself. Indeed, Locke s theory of constitution government revolves around how the states should be organized, while his theory of social contract determine explicitly what makes government legitimate. As previously demonstrated above, it is true that the native form of leadership did not have the typical European separation of power. Notwithstanding ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Argumentative Synthesis The Things They Carried Argumentative Synthesis The Things They Carried Tim O Brien, having the memories of war engraved in his mind, recalls the memories of his youth during battle in The Things They Carried, an intriguing collection of military accounts that symbolize his attempt to resist closure from past experiences. O Brien s story reflects the difficult choices people have to make in their struggle to confront the war waging inside their bodies as well as on the ground they tread. This background knowledge of O Brien s theory that an absolute occurrence is irrelevant because a true war story does not depend upon that kind of truth, (Chen 77) places the credibility of the information upon the emotional accounts that O Brien s writing bestows upon the personalities of the soldiers. Indeed, are we living in a dream? Most people would be answer No. Therefore, we truly need to live the way we really want to do before we die. Thus, I realize, I should do that what I want to do in my life. For this reason, I made a bucket list with three categories: personal, academic, and professional. The first thing on my personal bucket list is to travel to Europe, but above all, I want to go to Greece and Iceland. One day, I watched a Korean reality travel program Youth over Flowers, which showed young people backpacking with little money. Therefore, I thought that was how youth should be. Since then, I have been wanting to go to Greece and Iceland by myself. If I could go there, I would like to go to Santorini Island in Greece, which is the most beautiful place I have seen on TV, and it looks peaceful with a blue ocean. Salome M. Krell and David Farrell describe Santorini as an unforgettable beauty when they say, I . . . have fallen in love with this spellbinding place (3). For this reason, I would like to go Santorini, and I would like to drink wine on the terrace overlooking the sea; I will feel relaxed and free. Then, I would like to visit Iceland. Many innocent people are affected and persecuted in horrendous ways, and may even ask why is this happening to them. However in The Tales of the Heike, the losers know exactly why they are losing and suffering. This warrior tale tells the story of the Genji clan having the advantage over the Heike clan in war. They believe it was all due to their leader, Chancellor Kiyomori, abusing his power and obtaining bad karma not only for himself but also for his clan as well. This personally invokes an image of a child wiping his tears away with their sleeve, in both the young and old, as they see their loved ones leaving for the last time. So you really have to sympathize with the Heike because the innocent people are affected more than their leaders. Later on as the Heike flee from their home and burned the imperial palace, it also described their surroundings as, the dawn cries of deer... The bactericidal and detoxifying effects of the diode laser during non surgical periodontal treatment have been documented. Also for patients with aggressive periodontitis (AgP), the use of a diode laser with scaling and root planning (SRP) has shown a superior effect over SRP or the laser alone for certain parameters. Moritz et al concluded a significant reduction in the amount of bacteria and inflammation using a diode laser in combination with SRP. Olaudah Equiano was a righteous man who was stolen from his home as a child, and made into a slave. Through Equiano s time as a slave he endured many hardships and made many friends who he would never see again due to death, or the slave trade. Equiano made a memoir to show readers what it was like to be a slave, and to show his hardship through his own eyes without showing himself as someone who is looking for compassion or compensation of any kind. I believe Equiano just had a story to tell to let out all of the misery, and chaos he had held in for many years. This reading response is focused on Equiano s transition from having a normal life to becoming a slave. Olaudah Equiano was born in Essaka in 1745 in Nigeria.
