Choosing An Online Survey And Collect Responses
Instead of interviewing four people, I decided to make an online survey and collect responses because
I was at home for Thanksgiving. As a result I got more responses, and I think people were more honest
as well. I also allowed for the respondents to choose whether they have majority or minority status. I
had nine responses, three identifying as minority status, five as majority status, and one student who
was not sure, since he/she/they fell into multiple target groups but reported that she didn t experience
any discrimination. There were some interesting discrepancies, since one female student reported that
she was a minority, and another reportedly felt she was in the majority. At RIT, the distribution of
gender differs by program, so this could be a reason why this discrepancy exists. None of the students
who identified themselves as having majority status reported experiencing any discrimination
themselves, and neither did the one female student who identified as a minority but fell into no other
target groups. One respondent, a self identified conservative, Catholic white male chose to identify as

Parking Problems At The New Residence Halls
Parking on campus is a recurring problem throughout the years, but the most recent of these problems
has evolved into a catastrophe for and not so much for others. As the fall term came into place, more
and more parking was taken away for the new residence halls. Students regularly admit to hoping
other students would hurry and drop some of their classes, or that the students will go ahead and stop
coming to lectures so there is more parking available and less of a burden. However, the burden of
circling parking lots and the never ending loop of frustrating continues on for the fall term and more is
to come with the lack of parking the campus wishes to offer. The OU Daily has released statements in
articles concerning the matter. The new residence halls will also provide a parking garage or parking

Over the thanksgiving break I visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Met is an art museum in
New York City that has a variety of ancient artwork from different cultures and time periods. There is
paintings and sculptures from Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome and Greece. The museum is additionally
home to artwork from many different time periods including ancient Near Eastern Art, Middle Ages
and Europe during the Renaissance. The Met also has artwork from many different religions such as
Christianity and Islam. Each section in the museum had a specific artwork that attracted my attention.
On the first floor of the Met Museum is the Greek and Roman Art. The Greek and Roman section has
