Describe the subject s method of killing the victims (MO).
Rader bound, tortured and killed his victims, representing the name BTK that he chose for himself.
The most commonly used method to kill his victims was strangulation, although some were suffocated
or hung. Rader would often strangle his victims just to the point where they would pass out, allowing
them to regain consciousness many times before he would finally kill them. Rader would become
sexually aroused at this process and would masturbate onto the bodies once deceased. Taking
souvenirs was also part of Rader s modus operandi. Rader would steal panties from his victims and
later wear them himself (Blanco, n.d.).
15. Did the subject have a signature? If so, what was it?
Rader was known for sending taunting letters to police and newspapers. In his letters he would
describe his killings in great detail. In his second letter, Rader demanded media attention. It was after
this letter that it was finally announced that Wichita had a serial killer on the loose (Dennis Rader,
2017).
16. Did the killings occur in one place (i.e., one particular city) or many?
All of Rader s victims were murdered in Wichita, Kanas; Rader s home town (Dennis Rader,

Anotated Bibliography on Literacy in the Primary Years
Christie, F. (2005). Language and Literacy. In Language education in the primary years (pp. 1 12).
Sydney: University of New South Wales Press
In this chapter we are introduced to language being a basic resource with which we learn both in oral
and written form and become a responsibility of teachers in the primary schooling years to allow this
opportunity to be given to all. The debate over methods autonomous and ideological is discussed
where the debate takes into consideration factors from the 20th century emphasising the literacy
practice of learning. We are reading that the functional model of language is a social semiotic system
used in many ways and the three ways that why this is useful being the role, the nature and learning to
construct meanings of language. The chapter emphasises that to play, use, enjoy and adapt language is
a goal for our children which can lead to providing the framework for a language program.
Text and context are explained where we can change our language approach to suit the discourse.
Through metafunctions as shown in table formation we are allowing ourselves to choose our language
to make meanings. Within the classroom from this chapter we gain an insight into the social side, the
making of choices and reflection of language for children.

Idiotism In The Book Thief
Rudy Steiner: A Dual Threat
In one of the cruelest twists in Markus Zusak s extraordinary and emotional book, The Book Thief, the
fictional city of Molching, Germany is bombed. As bombs rain down onto Himmel Street, Zusak
effectively kills off many important characters to dramatically conclude his novel. One of those
characters is illustrated as a lemon haired (267) teenager by the name of Rudy Steiner. Rudy is
arguably the most fascinating and intriguing person in The Book Thief largely due to the complexity
of his actions. He is a perfect example of one of the novel s themes: the dual nature of humans. Rudy
is an intelligent boy who purposefully makes the most idiotic decisions, a goal setter who deliberately
fails at the brink of success, and a thief possessing one of the biggest hearts a young boy could
possess. Although Rudy is a very bright individual, he is as capable of making foolish mistakes as any
other person, displaying a dual nature. Take for example his fate tempting adventure in Mamer s
Grocery Store, during the chapter Three Acts of Stupidity by Rudy Steiner, where he masterfully
weaves through a line of shoppers attempting to buy potatoes, almost escaping notice. As he reaches
the front, he seizes the largest potato of all which is unfortunately being eyed by many other hungry
Germans. Almost immediately, Rudy is surrounded by the other customers and restrained by the
grocer, Thomas Mamer, who threatens to call the police. The situation is looking bleak for Rudy until
he is struck by a stroke of genius. Spying in the crowd Herr Link, one of his schoolteachers, Rudy
urges him to convince the shopkeeper how poor he is. Herr Link recognizes Rudy s dire situation and
aids him in escaping the grocery store without any serious repercussions (293 299). Rudy s narrow
escape exemplifies a major part of his dual nature. His belief that he can steal the most magnificent
potato from a grocer and a crowd of hungry Germans is insane. However, his quick thinking shows
just how clever he can be.
Although his aforementioned theft attempt was unwise, Rudy s other act of stupidity was blatantly
intentional. While attending Hitler Youth Meetings, he comes to dislike the leader of his area Hitler

According to the article entitled Pleasure and Happiness by Aristotle, there are several points of
arguments that view by author about the main things in pleasure and happiness. Pleasure and
happiness have an own definition and it distinguish by how people measure on itself. Aristotle was
among the very greatest thinkers ever and for the term of pleasure and happiness he started come out
with the question like what is the good life and how it related with happy life. Every human action
aims at some good and the good which, chosen for its own sake and not as means to an end is the
highest good. Thus, based on the Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle set up the term of pleasure comprise

belonging to the class of activities which are desirable in themselves and not desirable as means to
something else, for happiness has no want, it is self sufficient (Randali et al., 1873, p.382), likely
happiness can possession for people who makes different activity and get something their wished for

conceptions of happiness and pleasure. The emerged of question like in what does happiness contain ?

I m running. I can t scream, my lungs are burning and something is chasing me. I see a light at the end
of the dark and gloomy hallway but it keeps getting farther no matter how fast I run. The thing behind
me is getting closer, I can smell its rotten breath. All of the sudden I feel the sharp pain of broken glass
burying in my feet. I fall onto the glass covered floor and finally a scream escapes my throat. I woke
up in a cold sweat, screaming and struggling to move my restrained arms. The night guards ripped
open the heavy steel door to see what was wrong. The creature was standing in the corner looking
right at me. I was pulling my arms against the leather restrains trying to point the naive guards to the

Ralph Waldo Emerson From Self Reliance
Self reliance is being shown throughout Excerpts from Self Reliance by Ralph Waldo Emerson and
Excerpts from Resistance to civil government by Henry David Thoreau. It is saying that you think for
yourself; do for yourself. Emerson is explaining that you need to believe in yourself and use your gut.
Thoreau demonstrates that you need to speak up for yourself because if you hold back and just keep it
to yourself then you can t do anything about it. In Self Reliance Emerson explains on how using what
your brain tells you can be helpful. First, Emerson talks about how you should believe in yourself. To
believe in your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in your private heart is true for all
men . That is considered being a genius. Willing to think different thoughts and believe in it. Have
confidence in yourself. Whatever you think is right go for it, try your best to show people who you
really are. Believe in what you re doing. Secondly you have your own voice inside of you, your force .
Your force is referred to your whim. You whim is like your gut. It makes you feel what is the best
possible thing for you. For example, when your with a group of people discussing on what is going to
happen or change and you don t agree but want to say something, say it. We are always nervous to
speak what we think. That s why we have our whim! It makes us say what we feel is right and it
usually helps you out and makes you feel more relieved after. Never give up on

Biological Theories Of Deviance
Deviance differ from culture to culture and person to person, it is hard to pinpoint what is considered
deviant to the masses and what is not. For example. a single culture may accept the idea of marrying
off their daughter at a young age as acceptable, but other cultures may not and might find this to be a
heinous act. While there are different forms of deviants ranging from criminal, sexual, to even a
persons lifestyle, theories have been reformed throughout the decades to better explain the basis of
these abnormal acts. There are various theories of deviancy. It is because deviance is not restricted to a
single type of biology, psychology, or sociology. Biological theories of deviance focuses primarily on
the nature of the individual.

World Intellectual Property Organization ( Wipo ) Copyright

Copyright is a standout amongst the most vital piece of Intellectual Property Laws. World Intellectual
Property Organization (WIPO) characterizes copyright as
Copyright (or creator s privilege) is a lawful term used to depict the rights that makers have over their
scholarly and imaginative works. Works secured by copyright range from books, music, compositions,
model, and movies, to PC programs, databases, notices, maps, and specialized drawings.
Copyrights give the assurance to the creator as for different things. These things will differ from
nation to nation and are the subject to the statute of the spot or tradition that must be adhered to. The
conditions identifying with the rights, their term, legitimacy and so on . relies on upon the statute and

Creators and maker have been making their manifestations for a very long time and some surely

Cultural Capital And Social Capital
Alongside both racist and sexist media constructionism, hackneyed class cliches are equally as
pervasive. Pierre Bourdieu coined the phrase cultural capital which is the representation of the cultural
knowledge, temperament and disposition that is inherited from generation to generation. Published to
the Oxford University Press, Pierre Bordieu explained his theory of cultural capital as consisting of
three elements: cultural capital can exist in three forms: in the embodied state, i.e., in the form of long
lasting dispositions of the mind and body; in the objectified state, in the form of cultural goods
(pictures, books, dictionaries, instruments, machines, etc.), which are the trace or realization of
theories or critiques of these theories, problematics, etc.; and in the institutionalized state, a form of
objectification which must be set apart because, as will be seen in the case of educational
qualifications, it confers entirely original properties on the cultural capital which it is presumed to
guarantee (Bourdieu 1978). Another important facet of Bordieu s theory of cultural capital is a habitus
which is a set of dispositions that incline agents to act and react in certain ways particularly, the result
of structural conditions, but it simultaneously organizes practices and perceptions. (Bordieu 1978)
Noticeably similar to social constructivism, cultural capital is an occurrence that has the capacity to
institutionalize harmful stigmatic stereotypes. To further

Baker s Cyst Removal
The man who first discovered the baker s cyst in the mid 1800 s was a british man named Dr. William
Morant Baker. A baker s cyst also known as a popliteal cyst is located in the middle of the
semimembranosus tendon and medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle (Snir, 2013). Sometimes the
Baker s cyst can be mistaken for a blood clot because it presents the same symptoms. A magnetic
resonance imaging scan (MRI) can determine if the patient indeed has a cyst on the back of their leg.
Other tests may be done to make sure that the cyst is not a malignant or benign tumor before the
surgeon tries to excise it. A baker s cyst is formed when a patient has damage, arthritis, or a meniscus
tear in their knee. Rheumatoid arthritis and Osteoarthritis are generally the main cause of a formation
of a baker s cyst (Houston Methodist, 2015). Although any kind of knee injury could eventually lead
to a painful baker s cyst. Too much exercise can also hinder the healing of the cyst. Wright (2015)
stated that, A Baker s cyst most commonly occurs in children aged 4 to 7 years and in adults aged 35
to 70 years, as you can see that is a very large age gap. The cyst behind a child s knee rarely ever
affects them and goes away in time, but for an adult it is harder to get rid of because the cyst is from a
current knee joint problem.
Most cases where it is not serious the cyst is usually aspirated of fluid. If the

My Favorite Types Of Poetry
If you have ever read a book or listened to music, you have probably experienced poetry. Poetry is a
literary work in which special intensity is given to the expression of feelings and ideas by the use of
distinctive style and rhythm. There are many types of poetry and each has its own effect on the words.
There are over fifty types of poetry. Poetry is categorized by the number of lines in the poem, the
words in the poem, whether it rhymes or not, and what it is about. Some types of poetry examples
include haiku, free verse, sonnets, and name poems, although there are many more types as well
(Oxford living dictionaries ).People usually use the types of poetry they like best. I will tell you a little
bit about a few types of poetry that are my favorite.
Out of all the types of poetry, my most favorite type is a haiku. Haikus are poems consisting of three
lines. The first line has five syllables, the second line has seven syllables, and the third line has five
syllables. Haiku is a traditional form of Japanese poetry (Kidzone Poetry). Haikus are usually used as
a focus on nature. Traditionally, they are in the present tense and focused on associations between
images. Being so short, a haiku is open about its purpose. This type of poem may be short, but used in
the correct way, it can be very powerful to get a message across.

The second type of poetry I most favor is a sonnet. Sonnets are longer poems that consist of fourteen
lines. When writing a sonnet, you will

Editing And The Writing Process
Literature Review In examining recent literature on the topic of editing in the writing process, three
areas appear to be of some concern in dealing with this issue: 1) The true definition of editing and the
editing process, 2) The perceived role and responsibilities of the teacher and students, and 3) Effective
editing strategies that will increase student learning. In order to truly implement editing strategies that
will impact the learner, the first two areas must be addressed.
In the review of the literature, I found that many students and teachers alike had some misconceptions
about the true definition of editing and the roles that each must play. Often times, the editing process
and the revision process were mistakenly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The second area that needs to be addressed is the role the teacher and students play in the editing
stage. Teachers, English teachers in particular, are experts in editing. This is suggested through their
daily activities of correcting papers (Littauer, 1996; Parsons 2001). Joel Littauer (1996) also suggests
that students have no editing skills because the teacher does all the editing. It is of no wonder that
students do not have the skills of editing. Parsons (2001) states that unless students are taught and
forced to implement correct language, they will continue to make the same mistakes. He also makes
the point of putting the responsibility of editing back to the person who does the writing. In the case of
a classroom, the teacher must teach the students to edit their work, and the students must take the
responsibility to do so. In accomplishing this task, the students will have taken one more step in
becoming successful writers. In order to accomplish this task however, teachers must find and
implement editing strategies that will work for them and their students. In conducting my literature
review, I found three strategies that were dominant in much of my research. The first strategy was one
that was technology driven. In this strategy, the computer word processor is used as a tool for the
stages of writing. Jarvis (1997), Diehm (1998), as well as Parsons (2001), all give good reasons to use
this tool as a strategy for editing. In

Fiduciary Relationship Essay
I. Question 1
Courts have identified two categories of fiduciary relationships: The first is inherently fiduciary and
the second is fact based . The circumstances in which a fiduciary relationship would arise include:
A. Undertaking of trust and confidence
Mostly, fiduciary relationships involve an agreement where one party accepts from another on trust,
the exercise of a power or discretion over his or her interests. The agreement does not need to be
contractual. The key criterion is whether one party is reasonably entitled to repose and does repose
trust and confidence in another . That is when any particular aspect of the agreement gives rise to an
obligation of loyalty, beyond the contractual terms.
B. Vulnerability
Often a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, a fiduciary relationship does not arise where one of the parties has failed to protect himself
adequately. However, Mason J (dissent) found there was a limited fiduciary relationship. Although
HPI was entitled to act in its own interests, it is not inconsistent with a fiduciary relationship if there is
also an obligation to act in another s interests.
In contrast, the NZSC in Chrinside v Fay [2006] unanimously held the parties in a joint venture owed
each other fiduciary duties. A joint venture with a view of sharing the profit is inherently fiduciary per
Elias CJ. Further, when a joint venture had sufficiently advanced beyond mere discussion of
possibilities to making plan, costing and implementing, it does amount to a relationship of fiduciary
per Gault J. Moreover, most joint venture relationships can properly be regarded as being inherently
fiduciary because of the analogy with partnerships per Tipping and Blanchard JJ. The key point is
whether the relationship entitled one party to repose trust and confidence in the other party.
In my view the New Zealand Supreme Court s approach is more convincing.
III. Question 3
There is a presumptive requirement that once a breach of fiduciary duty has been established the
errant fiduciary must disgorge all profits made by dint of the breach. There are two main exceptions to
that rule. First is where there has been some antecedent agreement for profit

Outline and Evaluate Issues Surrounding the Classification and Diagnosis of Depression
Scheff s Labelling Theory is a process which involves labelling people with mental disorders when
they produce behaviour that does not fit with socially constructed norms and labelling those who
reflect stereotyped or stigmatized behaviour of the mentally ill . A disadvantage of labelling an
individual with depression is that labelling can accentuate and prolong the issue. In addition by
labelling someone with depression who in fact is not depressed may in fact become depressed as a
result. Another problem is that labelling an individual with depression means that they can have

There are also issues relating to reliability which may affect the diagnosis. One type is Test retest
reliability, which occurs when a practitioner makes the same consistent diagnosis on separate
occasions from the same information. In terms of depression this can be applied if the same Doctor or
Psychiatrist gives a patient a diagnosis of depression on two separate occasions. The other is Inter
rater reliability occurs when several practitioners make identical, independent diagnoses of the same
patient. This can be applied to depression by confirming that the diagnosis of depression is accurate in
a given situation.
Issues of validity also arise in the diagnosis of depression. For example, Predictive validity occurs if
diagnosis leads to successful treatment, then the diagnosis can be seen as valid. Under the heading of
depression, there are a series of depressive disorders such as Major Depressive Disorder, Pre
Menstrual Disorder etc. In terms of depression predictive validity will occur if the right diagnosis is
made followed by a subsequent correct course of action.
Research by Sanchez Villegas et al (2008) supports the predictive validity of depression diagnosis.
They assessed the validity of the Structured Clinical Interview to diagnose depression, finding that
74.2% of those originally diagnosed as depressed had been accurately

ambivalent feelings towards Gatsby, despising his personality and corrupted dream but feeling drawn

A Cost Accounting System Analysis
A cost accounting system is a framework used by firms to estimate the cost of their products for
profitability analysis, inventory valuation and cost control. Its goal is to advise the management on the
most appropriate course of action based on the cost efficiency and capability. Cost accounting
provides the detailed cost information that management needs to control current operations and plan
for the future.
Costing is essential for every organization, as every manufacturing and other department has to be
assigned accurate budget for proper operation (Hansen, Mowen and Guan, 2006). The costing system
provides information that is useful to managers for minimizing wastage and allocating resources to
different departments.
The traditional ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most organizations in the business arena today are quite complex, large and have many departments.
It cannot be the basis of the costing system in these organizations as it can only be efficient when there
are low indirect costs compared to direct costs.
On the other hand, Activity based costing (ABC) attempts to accurately trace indirect costs to products
by allocating indirect costs to activities and then to products based on their usage of the activities. In
order to counter the flaws of the Traditional Costing System, most organizations have adopted the
ABC method. ABC is an effective way to allocate the indirect costs and it leads to more accuracy
because it relies upon a greater number of activity and resource cost drivers rather than only focusing
on volume based cost drivers. Also in contrast to the traditional costing system, ABC is optimal when
indirect costs are higher as it utilizes several indirect cost pools and divides the production function
into many activity areas. The activity based approach provides a precise breakdown of indirect costs
and eliminates the allocation of irrelevant costs to a product therefore providing a more exact
reflection of product and customer profitability. Thus, unlike traditional costing, ABC gives equal
importance to other factors such as business competition, accuracy, customer satisfaction, product
development etc. It s emphasis on product efficiency helps the company establish a

The Influence Of Art On The Good And The Bad
With great power, comes great responsibility , are the well known words uttered by Spider Man s
uncle, Ben Parker. It is not just a great quote from a movie, it also happens to be a universal idea
focusing on the moral and ethical considerations that an individual who yields a certain level of power
must make. This idea reins true in every aspect of life to include the vast world of art. Art is, without
question, very powerful. Art has the ability to influence people and cause change in their lives in both
the good and the bad. According to the Chicago Sun Times actor Bill Murray s life was saved once by
Jules Breton s famous painting Song of a Lark. The actor admitted that the painting stopped him from
having suicidal thoughts and gifted him a new hope for life(cite needed). This is a positive example
and this goes without saying there are negative ones as well. In other aspects Art also wields the power
to generate and manipulate emotion, which can then be harnessed to cause animosity and hatred
amongst mankind as done by the Nazi Party s propaganda films of World War II. Joseph Goebbels,
who was Nazi Germany s Minister of Propaganda prior to and during the war, used film as a machine
to generate an anti semetic campaign to influence the German people and rally them in support of a
master race. One such film, Der Ewige Jude (The Eternal Jew), 1940, which was a major project of
Goebbles, was created with the intent to paint the Jewish race as a parasitical bunch that

From Britney Spears And Justin Timberlake
From Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake to the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus, the Disney
Machine has produced numerous superstars that continue to be relevant in todays pop culture. No
other empire has managed to produce talent quite like Disney. So, how does the Walt Disney
Company do it? They combine fresh new talent with money, power, and a ton of control to produce
shows and artists that are constantly influencing pop culture. A large number of today s pop stars are
tied to Disney in one way or another.
The Walt Disney Company is a multi billion dollar powerhouse with many different revenue sources
including the Disney parks and cruises, Pixar Animation, Disney Channel, Radio Disney, and many
more. Even though it is such a successful company, there are some things that are not very great about
it, one of those being how the company treats its stars. Many former Disney stars have expressed their
unhappiness with the company since cutting ties years ago. Celebrities such as Joe Jonas, Miley
Cyrus, and Cole Sprouse have all recently discussed their issues with the megacorp. However, before
we get to that, let s start at the beginning. Disney Channel, the focus in this paper, was officially
launched in April of 1983. The channel is marketed toward children, teens, and families, calling itself
a family oriented cable channel. Disney s Channel first hit show, Kids Incorporated, launched in early
1986. The sitcom was about a group of friends who formed a pop group.

Kinetic Energy Lab Report
Speed, height, and mass do affect kinetic energy. In our lab work, we had to do multiple tests by
dropping a can onto a clay ball. We wrote down our data to prove that speed, height, and mass affect
kinetic energy. This is the lab data explained.
In our first lab, we had to drop different masses of cans from a height onto a 3cm clay ball and see
how much it got squished. Our data consisted of dropping a 418g, 227g, 624g, and 425g can from
30cm to a clay ball. For example, with a 418g can, the ball was squished down to 2.7cm while a 227g
can squished a ball down to 2.9cm. This shows that the larger mass of the can, the more the clay got
squashed, so the more mass the object is, the more kinetic energy takes place.
In our second

The Story Of Julian Herbs. Most People Go Through A Trying
The Story of Julian Herbs
Most people go through a trying phase where they decide to take a harder look at their lives they are
living and get the feeling that it could be better. Such thoughts may lead one into a psychological crisis
characterized by a lot of stress and anxiety due to the dissatisfaction with one s life (Schriver, 2004).
Mr. Julian Herbs, a 50 year old, has been going through this phase where he felt dissatisfied with his
life despite the achievements he has been able to accomplish in his life. He is a married man with a
son and a daughter who has been able to achieve financial security. However, he feels like his
relationship with his children has deteriorated and has had the thought of having an affair with a
younger ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mr. Herbs is likely to be experiencing this phase because of the things that are happening in his life.
His life is surrounded by loneliness and lack of fulfillment especially because of the changes that he
recently experienced. His daughter graduated and moved to Atlanta while his son got a job in Chicago.
His separation from his children may have contributed to his concentration on his achievements and
the decisions he has made through life. He gave up his college education to be fully committed to his
family and now that they have all grown and become successful he wishes he could have done more
on his personal achievements. Additionally, the older he gets, the closer to death he feels. His father
had always talked about dreams but he dies suddenly from a heart attack. Therefore, Julian may be
feeling stressed by the fact that he is moving closer to death yet he has not achieved all the things he
wanted to achieve in life.
Erik Erickson s Stages of Psychosocial Development According to Erik Erickson, people go through
eight stages of psychosocial development from the time they are infants to their adulthood (Sokol,
2009). During each of these stages, the person may experience different psychosocial crises that affect
their personality development positively or negatively (Sokol, 2009). Mr. Herbs is currently at the
generativity vs. stagnation stage of

Guy Montag In Fahrenheit 451 By Ray Bradbury
The book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, is about a fireman name Guy Montag. He does the
opposite of what firemen does, he starts fires instead of putting them out. What he really loves about
his job is burning books. He s against society just like all the other firemen, at least for now. In the
beginning Montag is active in society. It was a pleasure to burn, says Montag as he gladly burned
books(Bradbury 1). This evidence shows how he loves to burn books. A lot of things he mention
determined how he feels and what he feels is nothing at all. For example to shove a marshmallow on a
stick in the furnace, while the flapping pigeon winged books died on the porch and lawn of the house
(1). The statement has a really big effect in the beginning

How Does John Keats Use Figurative Language
Everyone is fearful of dying. However, because each individual is unique, everyone has different
levels of fear and varying regrets. In the early 1800s, a young poet named John Keats wrote When I
Have Fears in which he explains his fears and regrets about death. Employing devices such as
sophisticated abstract diction, figurative language, and symbols, John Keats shows that living as if
tomorrow would never appear is an excellent way to abandon fears about death. During the first
twelve lines of the shakespearean sonnet, Keats uses a variety of high level abstract diction and
symbols while also including figurative language, in order to explain his complex fears. Keats simply
wants to express his fears, including any goals he wishes to

Milton Gordon s Assimilation In America
Milton Gordon, Assimilation in America In Milton Gordon s, Assimilation in America , theorizes that
there is a 3 stage process of assimilation; acculturation (cultural assimilation), integration (structural
assimilation), intermarriage (marital assimilation). However, it is actually 7 stages, but for simplicity
will refer to as 3 stages. The overall process seems to follow the theory of Anglo conformity, in which
immigrants assume the desirability of maintaining English institutions, the English language, and
English oriented cultural patterns as dominant and standard in American life (265). Gordon provides
numerous examples from early immigration waves, specifically the first wave of immigration. Using
this wave of immigration as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Segmented assimilation combines multiple elements and because of this is able to provide a different
perspective. Zhou discusses how this theory recognized the fusion of immigrants in America but
acknowledges that the complete assimilation of becoming American is not always beneficial (999).
Giving the diverseness of America to retain what culture and values one was raised on can benefit the
migrant in various ways. Especially giving the many cultural organizations established to assist
immigrants. I enjoyed the article and agreed with a majority of it. Zhou understands the benefits and
consequences of maintaining and losing any cultural values you migrated with. Her perspective on
Gordon s theories were clarifying in some sense. However, I believe the assimilation process for
second generation is a difficult thing to narrow down. Zhou s theory that where an immigrant is placed
in system describes success and assimilation. This perspective is new and frighteningly eye opening.
Where you are placed in system would have dramatic effects on one s assimilation and ability to

Relationship Between Audiences And Films
Unit 24 Assignment 4
Audiences and Films
The BBFC has commissioned me to undertake research as part of a project to ascertain to what degree
films can be regarded as powerful within contemporary society. In this assignment, I will
comprehensively explain the relationship between audiences and films with well explained examples.
I refer to the different sectors relating to the topic that include the following:
a) active and passive audience models
b) the preferred readings theory
c) reception theory and viewing contexts
d) your own research into the relationship between audiences and films
Active and Passive Audiences
An active audience is the opposite. An active audience can interact with the programme and tell them
their views, and what they would like to see. They can influence the outcome of the whole show.
A passive audience is an audience that has no influence over the outcome of the programme. They
cannot change it in any way and it is up to the writers to decide what happens and when.
Hypodermic Needle Model
The Hypodermic Needle Theory is one of the oldest in the field of media studies. Also known as the
Magic Bullet Theory, it states that media has a direct, complete and immediate effect on the audience.
The message for the media is directly received and wholly accepted by the user. The audience is
considered to completely passive entities that are left at the mercy of the media. Media is considered
to be super strong with the potential of mesmerizing its

Clara Machumann If You Love For Beauty s Sake Analysis
The composer I chose is Clara Wieck Schumann. The piece that I chose to be analyzed is called If You
Love for Beauty s Sake . Clara Schumann was born in 1819, she is also known as one of the most
talented musicians in the Romantic era. Being a skilled pianist at such a young age, she excelled
throughout her career. Some people only know her as the wife of Robert Schumann, who was also a
famous composer in this era. Like Robert, she composed her own music. Clara went through tough
obstacles in order to obtain her status. There are many aspects of her life that influenced her and the
person she became.
To continue, Clara s husband Robert Schumann was unable to compose music after a few years. This
is the time that she stepped to make both of their music. Eventually, Robert was diagnosed with
depression and had to be taken to a mental asylum. This specific event was very heartbreaking to her
and her family. Clara Schumann ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Clara being young at the time certainly did not persuade society that she was as skilled and determined
as she was. During this era, women had to prove their quality of music was extraordinary. Women
were expected to raise a family, not compose music. It was certainly not common at the time to see a
woman being a musician. Society was trying to tell her that she was not important enough to go
through with her passion. Clara got well known musicians to take her seriously and persuaded them
that women could be gifted in music. Clara fought through many assumptions of her and rose to the
top. After she became known for being an appreciable pianist, society and male musicians during the
period started to see her as an equal. Clara was in a musical society that was entirely conquered by
men, getting their praise was a very great point in her life. In the end, she raised any expectations that
were ever given, becoming one of the first women to go on an international tour for her

RIDDIR Legislation
In an engineering workplace it is important for the employee to report accidents as this is part of the
RIDDIR legislation and this needs to be followed by the engineering industry. By following the
legislation you can prevent any accident or incidents occurring to any employee or employer within
any workplace.
Ill health and accidents are quite common at work because this happened in 2011/12, 1.1 million
people who were working were suffering from illnesses, and some people believed that the illnesses
were caused from or made worse from their current work or their past work.
We record and report at work because it is a legal requirement under The Reporting of Injuries,
Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR).
RIDDOR sets a legal obligation on: the employers, the self employed people, and the people who are
in control of the premises. These responsible people will need to report and record incidents, diseases,
injuries and any dangerous occurrences that will involve employees, the self employed workers and all
members of the public.
The evidence provided through the recording and reporting will allow authorities such as HSE or local
authority Environmental Health, to find out where, what and how the risks arises and to also search for
serious accidents. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Mary As A Disciple ( Mariology )
Mary as a Disciple (Mariology)
Mary was the mother to Jesus Christ, the Messiah, and has been a focus of theological discussion
since about the second century. Mary comes from a long line of women in the bible. Prototypes, if you
will. These women throughout the Old Testament were chosen by God. This gave way to Mary
becoming the God bearer. A title that was given to her by the Council of Ephesus in 431 C.E. This is
obviously where all theological debate dealing with Mariology comes from. To Catholics, Mary is a
sign of hope in this fading world. To protestant Christians, Mary is also known as the mother of God.
However, many protestant theologians believe that Mary should be honored but within certain limits.
The Old Testament in the Holy Bible specifically says in Exodus 34:14, Do not worship any other
god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God . In the New Testament it says in 1 John
5:21, Little children, keep yourselves from idols . Martin Luther (a German professor of Theology,
and founder of the Lutheran Church) was quick to say that Mary should be honored but to only what is
fitting. Karl Barth (a reformed protestant theologian) explained that through Mary, Jesus was human,
and through Jesus, she is the divine mother of God, and is full of grace that was still given to her by
God the Father. Avery Dulles talks of models that churches should strive to uphold, and Mary (mother
of God) resembles the church of Servant, Community,

Rader bound, tortured and killed his victims, representing the name BTK that he chose for himself. The most commonly used method to kill his victims was strangulation, although some were suffocated or hung. Rader would often strangle his victims just to the point where they would pass out, allowing them to regain consciousness many times before he would finally kill them. Rader would become sexually aroused at this process and would masturbate onto the bodies once deceased. Taking souvenirs was also part of Rader s modus operandi. Rader would steal panties from his victims and later wear them himself (Blanco, n.d.). 15. Did the subject have a signature? If so, what was it? Rader was known for sending taunting letters to police and newspapers. In his letters he would describe his killings in great detail. In his second letter, Rader demanded media attention. It was after this letter that it was finally announced that Wichita had a serial killer on the loose (Dennis Rader, 2017). 16. Did the killings occur in one place (i.e., one particular city) or many? • 3. Anotated Bibliography on Literacy in the Primary Years Christie, F. (2005). Language and Literacy. In Language education in the primary years (pp. 1 12). Sydney: University of New South Wales Press In this chapter we are introduced to language being a basic resource with which we learn both in oral and written form and become a responsibility of teachers in the primary schooling years to allow this opportunity to be given to all. The debate over methods autonomous and ideological is discussed where the debate takes into consideration factors from the 20th century emphasising the literacy practice of learning. We are reading that the functional model of language is a social semiotic system used in many ways and the three ways that why this is useful being the role, the nature and learning to construct meanings of language. The chapter emphasises that to play, use, enjoy and adapt language is a goal for our children which can lead to providing the framework for a language program. Text and context are explained where we can change our language approach to suit the discourse. Through metafunctions as shown in table formation we are allowing ourselves to choose our language to make meanings. Within the classroom from this chapter we gain an insight into the social side, the making of choices and reflection of language for children. Gee, J.P. (1991). What is literacy? In C. Mitchell K. • 4. Idiotism In The Book Thief Rudy Steiner: A Dual Threat In one of the cruelest twists in Markus Zusak s extraordinary and emotional book, The Book Thief, the fictional city of Molching, Germany is bombed. As bombs rain down onto Himmel Street, Zusak effectively kills off many important characters to dramatically conclude his novel. One of those characters is illustrated as a lemon haired (267) teenager by the name of Rudy Steiner. Rudy is arguably the most fascinating and intriguing person in The Book Thief largely due to the complexity of his actions. He is a perfect example of one of the novel s themes: the dual nature of humans. Rudy is an intelligent boy who purposefully makes the most idiotic decisions, a goal setter who deliberately fails at the brink of success, and a thief possessing one of the biggest hearts a young boy could possess. Although Rudy is a very bright individual, he is as capable of making foolish mistakes as any other person, displaying a dual nature. Take for example his fate tempting adventure in Mamer s Grocery Store, during the chapter Three Acts of Stupidity by Rudy Steiner, where he masterfully weaves through a line of shoppers attempting to buy potatoes, almost escaping notice. As he reaches the front, he seizes the largest potato of all which is unfortunately being eyed by many other hungry Germans. Almost immediately, Rudy is surrounded by the other customers and restrained by the grocer, Thomas Mamer, who threatens to call the police. The situation is looking bleak for Rudy until he is struck by a stroke of genius. Spying in the crowd Herr Link, one of his schoolteachers, Rudy urges him to convince the shopkeeper how poor he is. Herr Link recognizes Rudy s dire situation and aids him in escaping the grocery store without any serious repercussions (293 299). Rudy s narrow escape exemplifies a major part of his dual nature. His belief that he can steal the most magnificent potato from a grocer and a crowd of hungry Germans is insane. However, his quick thinking shows just how clever he can be. Although his aforementioned theft attempt was unwise, Rudy s other act of stupidity was blatantly intentional. While attending Hitler Youth Meetings, he comes to dislike the leader of his area Hitler Youth ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Ralph Waldo Emerson From Self Reliance Self reliance is being shown throughout Excerpts from Self Reliance by Ralph Waldo Emerson and Excerpts from Resistance to civil government by Henry David Thoreau. It is saying that you think for yourself; do for yourself. Emerson is explaining that you need to believe in yourself and use your gut. Thoreau demonstrates that you need to speak up for yourself because if you hold back and just keep it to yourself then you can t do anything about it. In Self Reliance Emerson explains on how using what your brain tells you can be helpful. First, Emerson talks about how you should believe in yourself. To believe in your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in your private heart is true for all men . That is considered being a genius. Willing to think different thoughts and believe in it. Have confidence in yourself. Whatever you think is right go for it, try your best to show people who you really are. Believe in what you re doing. Secondly you have your own voice inside of you, your force . Your force is referred to your whim. You whim is like your gut. • 11. Cultural Capital And Social Capital Alongside both racist and sexist media constructionism, hackneyed class cliches are equally as pervasive. Pierre Bourdieu coined the phrase cultural capital which is the representation of the cultural knowledge, temperament and disposition that is inherited from generation to generation. Published to the Oxford University Press, Pierre Bordieu explained his theory of cultural capital as consisting of three elements: cultural capital can exist in three forms: in the embodied state, i.e., in the form of long lasting dispositions of the mind and body; in the objectified state, in the form of cultural goods (pictures, books, dictionaries, instruments, machines, etc.), which are the trace or realization of theories or critiques of these theories, problematics, etc.; and in the institutionalized state, a form of objectification which must be set apart because, as will be seen in the case of educational qualifications, it confers entirely original properties on the cultural capital which it is presumed to guarantee (Bourdieu 1978). Another important facet of Bordieu s theory of cultural capital is a habitus which is a set of dispositions that incline agents to act and react in certain ways particularly, the result of structural conditions, but it simultaneously organizes practices and perceptions. (Bordieu 1978) Noticeably similar to social constructivism, cultural capital is an occurrence that has the capacity to institutionalize harmful stigmatic stereotypes. To further ... The Baker s Cyst Removal Garcia, Amber Baker s Cyst Removal MDA 130 Mr. Kennedy Baker s Cyst Removal The man who first discovered the baker s cyst in the mid 1800 s was a british man named Dr. William Morant Baker. A baker s cyst also known as a popliteal cyst is located in the middle of the semimembranosus tendon and medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle (Snir, 2013). Sometimes the Baker s cyst can be mistaken for a blood clot because it presents the same symptoms. A magnetic resonance imaging scan (MRI) can determine if the patient indeed has a cyst on the back of their leg. Other tests may be done to make sure that the cyst is not a malignant or benign tumor before the surgeon tries to excise it. A baker s cyst is formed when a patient has damage, arthritis, or a meniscus tear in their knee. Rheumatoid arthritis and Osteoarthritis are generally the main cause of a formation of a baker s cyst (Houston Methodist, 2015). Although any kind of knee injury could eventually lead to a painful baker s cyst. Too much exercise can also hinder the healing of the cyst. Wright (2015) stated that, A Baker s cyst most commonly occurs in children aged 4 to 7 years and in adults aged 35 to 70 years, as you can see that is a very large age gap. The cyst behind a child s knee rarely ever affects them and goes away in time, but for an adult it is harder to get rid of because the cyst is from a current knee joint problem. • 13. My Favorite Types Of Poetry If you have ever read a book or listened to music, you have probably experienced poetry. Poetry is a literary work in which special intensity is given to the expression of feelings and ideas by the use of distinctive style and rhythm. There are many types of poetry and each has its own effect on the words. There are over fifty types of poetry. Poetry is categorized by the number of lines in the poem, the words in the poem, whether it rhymes or not, and what it is about. Some types of poetry examples include haiku, free verse, sonnets, and name poems, although there are many more types as well (Oxford living dictionaries ).People usually use the types of poetry they like best. I will tell you a little bit about a few types of poetry that are my favorite. Out of all the types of poetry, my most favorite type is a haiku. Haikus are poems consisting of three lines. The first line has five syllables, the second line has seven syllables, and the third line has five syllables. Haiku is a traditional form of Japanese poetry (Kidzone Poetry). Haikus are usually used as a focus on nature. Traditionally, they are in the present tense and focused on associations between images. Being so short, a haiku is open about its purpose. This type of poem may be short, but used in the correct way, it can be very powerful to get a message across. • 14. Editing And The Writing Process Literature Review In examining recent literature on the topic of editing in the writing process, three areas appear to be of some concern in dealing with this issue: 1) The true definition of editing and the editing process, 2) The perceived role and responsibilities of the teacher and students, and 3) Effective editing strategies that will increase student learning. In order to truly implement editing strategies that will impact the learner, the first two areas must be addressed. In the review of the literature, I found that many students and teachers alike had some misconceptions about the true definition of editing and the roles that each must play. Often times, the editing process and the revision process were mistakenly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second area that needs to be addressed is the role the teacher and students play in the editing stage. Teachers, English teachers in particular, are experts in editing. This is suggested through their daily activities of correcting papers (Littauer, 1996; Parsons 2001). Joel Littauer (1996) also suggests that students have no editing skills because the teacher does all the editing. It is of no wonder that students do not have the skills of editing. Parsons (2001) states that unless students are taught and forced to implement correct language, they will continue to make the same mistakes. He also makes the point of putting the responsibility of editing back to the person who does the writing. In the case of a classroom, the teacher must teach the students to edit their work, and the students must take the responsibility to do so. In accomplishing this task, the students will have taken one more step in becoming successful writers. In order to accomplish this task however, teachers must find and implement editing strategies that will work for them and their students. In conducting my literature review, I found three strategies that were dominant in much of my research. The first strategy was one that was technology driven. In this strategy, the computer word processor is used as a tool for the stages of writing. Jarvis (1997), Diehm (1998), as well as Parsons (2001), all give good reasons to use this tool as a strategy for editing. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. Fiduciary Relationship Essay I. Question 1 Courts have identified two categories of fiduciary relationships: The first is inherently fiduciary and the second is fact based . The circumstances in which a fiduciary relationship would arise include: A. Undertaking of trust and confidence Mostly, fiduciary relationships involve an agreement where one party accepts from another on trust, the exercise of a power or discretion over his or her interests. The agreement does not need to be contractual. The key criterion is whether one party is reasonably entitled to repose and does repose trust and confidence in another . That is when any particular aspect of the agreement gives rise to an obligation of loyalty, beyond the contractual terms. B. Vulnerability Often a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Moreover, a fiduciary relationship does not arise where one of the parties has failed to protect himself adequately. However, Mason J (dissent) found there was a limited fiduciary relationship. Although HPI was entitled to act in its own interests, it is not inconsistent with a fiduciary relationship if there is also an obligation to act in another s interests. In contrast, the NZSC in Chrinside v Fay [2006] unanimously held the parties in a joint venture owed each other fiduciary duties. A joint venture with a view of sharing the profit is inherently fiduciary per Elias CJ. Further, when a joint venture had sufficiently advanced beyond mere discussion of possibilities to making plan, costing and implementing, it does amount to a relationship of fiduciary per Gault J. Moreover, most joint venture relationships can properly be regarded as being inherently fiduciary because of the analogy with partnerships per Tipping and Blanchard JJ. The key point is whether the relationship entitled one party to repose trust and confidence in the other party. In my view the New Zealand Supreme Court s approach is more convincing. III. Question 3 There is a presumptive requirement that once a breach of fiduciary duty has been established the errant fiduciary must disgorge all profits made by dint of the breach. There are two main exceptions to that rule. First is where there has been some antecedent agreement for profit ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Outline and Evaluate Issues Surrounding the Classification and Diagnosis of Depression Scheff s Labelling Theory is a process which involves labelling people with mental disorders when they produce behaviour that does not fit with socially constructed norms and labelling those who reflect stereotyped or stigmatized behaviour of the mentally ill . A disadvantage of labelling an individual with depression is that labelling can accentuate and prolong the issue. In addition by labelling someone with depression who in fact is not depressed may in fact become depressed as a result. Another problem is that labelling an individual with depression means that they can have problems with getting a job and leading a life in the future because ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are also issues relating to reliability which may affect the diagnosis. One type is Test retest reliability, which occurs when a practitioner makes the same consistent diagnosis on separate occasions from the same information. In terms of depression this can be applied if the same Doctor or Psychiatrist gives a patient a diagnosis of depression on two separate occasions. The other is Inter rater reliability occurs when several practitioners make identical, independent diagnoses of the same patient. This can be applied to depression by confirming that the diagnosis of depression is accurate in a given situation. Issues of validity also arise in the diagnosis of depression. For example, Predictive validity occurs if diagnosis leads to successful treatment, then the diagnosis can be seen as valid. Under the heading of depression, there are a series of depressive disorders such as Major Depressive Disorder, Pre Menstrual Disorder etc. In terms of depression predictive validity will occur if the right diagnosis is made followed by a subsequent correct course of action. Research by Sanchez Villegas et al (2008) supports the predictive validity of depression diagnosis. They assessed the validity of the Structured Clinical Interview to diagnose depression, finding that 74.2% of those originally diagnosed as depressed had been accurately ... • 18. Hope and the American Dream Portrayed in Fitzgerald s The... The Great Gatsby , written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, portrays a world filled with rich societal happenings, love affairs, and corruption. Nick Carraway is the engaged narrator of the book, a curious choice considering that he is in a different class and almost in a different world than Gatsby and the other characters. Nick relates the plot of the story to the reader as a member of Gatsby s circle. He has ambivalent feelings towards Gatsby, despising his personality and corrupted dream but feeling drawn to Gatsby s magnificent capacity to hope. Using Nick as a moral guide, Fitzgerald attempts to guide readers on a journey through the novel to illustrate the corruption and failure of the American Dream. But Nick s credentials as a trustworthy narrator continue to be reinforced throughout the story, as a way of reassuring readers that Nick remains decent while the rest of the characters continue on their downfall. The meeting with Jordan Baker causes Nick to once again mention the topic of honesty. When he learned of her cheating in a golf tournament, Nick declared, She was incurably dishonest pg 58. This manifests a contrast between Jordan and Nick when a few lines later he says of himself I am one of the few honest people that I have ever known. Pg 59. Nick let his honesty shine through when he admitted to himself that Jordan was a very selfish, greedy, and cynical person, but he loved her nonetheless. He did not feel the need to lie to himself and the readers in order to make Jordan sound amiable. Such an act shows that Nick remains unchanged even in the presence of a charming and rich lady. Nick also remained unchanged and declined the opportunity to earn easy money offered to him by Gatsby through Meyer Wolfsheim. • 19. A Cost Accounting System Analysis A cost accounting system is a framework used by firms to estimate the cost of their products for profitability analysis, inventory valuation and cost control. Its goal is to advise the management on the most appropriate course of action based on the cost efficiency and capability. Cost accounting provides the detailed cost information that management needs to control current operations and plan for the future. Costing is essential for every organization, as every manufacturing and other department has to be assigned accurate budget for proper operation (Hansen, Mowen and Guan, 2006). The costing system provides information that is useful to managers for minimizing wastage and allocating resources to different departments. The traditional ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most organizations in the business arena today are quite complex, large and have many departments. It cannot be the basis of the costing system in these organizations as it can only be efficient when there are low indirect costs compared to direct costs. On the other hand, Activity based costing (ABC) attempts to accurately trace indirect costs to products by allocating indirect costs to activities and then to products based on their usage of the activities. In order to counter the flaws of the Traditional Costing System, most organizations have adopted the ABC method. ABC is an effective way to allocate the indirect costs and it leads to more accuracy because it relies upon a greater number of activity and resource cost drivers rather than only focusing on volume based cost drivers. Also in contrast to the traditional costing system, ABC is optimal when indirect costs are higher as it utilizes several indirect cost pools and divides the production function into many activity areas. The activity based approach provides a precise breakdown of indirect costs and eliminates the allocation of irrelevant costs to a product therefore providing a more exact reflection of product and customer profitability. Thus, unlike traditional costing, ABC gives equal importance to other factors such as business competition, accuracy, customer satisfaction, product development etc. It s emphasis on product efficiency helps the company establish a ... • 21. The Influence Of Art On The Good And The Bad With great power, comes great responsibility , are the well known words uttered by Spider Man s uncle, Ben Parker. It is not just a great quote from a movie, it also happens to be a universal idea focusing on the moral and ethical considerations that an individual who yields a certain level of power must make. This idea reins true in every aspect of life to include the vast world of art. Art is, without question, very powerful. Art has the ability to influence people and cause change in their lives in both the good and the bad. According to the Chicago Sun Times actor Bill Murray s life was saved once by Jules Breton s famous painting Song of a Lark. The actor admitted that the painting stopped him from having suicidal thoughts and gifted him a new hope for life(cite needed). This is a positive example and this goes without saying there are negative ones as well. In other aspects Art also wields the power to generate and manipulate emotion, which can then be harnessed to cause animosity and hatred amongst mankind as done by the Nazi Party s propaganda films of World War II. Joseph Goebbels, who was Nazi Germany s Minister of Propaganda prior to and during the war, used film as a machine to generate an anti semetic campaign to influence the German people and rally them in support of a master race. One such film, Der Ewige Jude (The Eternal Jew), 1940, which was a major project of Goebbles, was created with the intent to paint the Jewish race as a parasitical bunch that ... We wrote down our data to prove that speed, height, and mass affect kinetic energy. This is the lab data explained. In our first lab, we had to drop different masses of cans from a height onto a 3cm clay ball and see how much it got squished. Our data consisted of dropping a 418g, 227g, 624g, and 425g can from 30cm to a clay ball. For example, with a 418g can, the ball was squished down to 2.7cm while a 227g can squished a ball down to 2.9cm. This shows that the larger mass of the can, the more the clay got squashed, so the more mass the object is, the more kinetic energy takes place. In our second ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I refer to the different sectors relating to the topic that include the following: a) active and passive audience models b) the preferred readings theory c) reception theory and viewing contexts d) your own research into the relationship between audiences and films Active and Passive Audiences An active audience is the opposite. An active audience can interact with the programme and tell them their views, and what they would like to see. They can influence the outcome of the whole show. A passive audience is an audience that has no influence over the outcome of the programme. They cannot change it in any way and it is up to the writers to decide what happens and when. • 31. Mary As A Disciple ( Mariology ) Mary as a Disciple (Mariology) Mary was the mother to Jesus Christ, the Messiah, and has been a focus of theological discussion since about the second century. Mary comes from a long line of women in the bible. Prototypes, if you will. These women throughout the Old Testament were chosen by God. This gave way to Mary becoming the God bearer. A title that was given to her by the Council of Ephesus in 431 C.E. This is obviously where all theological debate dealing with Mariology comes from. To Catholics, Mary is a sign of hope in this fading world. To protestant Christians, Mary is also known as the mother of God. However, many protestant theologians believe that Mary should be honored but within certain limits. The Old Testament in the Holy Bible specifically says in Exodus 34:14, Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God . In the New Testament it says in 1 John 5:21, Little children, keep yourselves from idols . Martin Luther (a German professor of Theology, and founder of the Lutheran Church) was quick to say that Mary should be honored but to only what is fitting. Karl Barth (a reformed protestant theologian) explained that through Mary, Jesus was human, and through Jesus, she is the divine mother of God, and is full of grace that was still given to her by God the Father.
