moment I saw their work. I was planing on researching only one side of the duo for
Haute couture but all the information on them is in sync. When in Arnhem, The
Netherlands in 1992 Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren graduated from ArtEZ
institute and started their journey together(Heritage, 2015). After graduating The duo
worked hard to develop their first line that premiered in 1993 (Heritage, 2015). The

We watched Taken for a ride documentary that finally gave an answer to my
inquiries about American transportation. I am European and, before, I never quite
understood why Americans use drive ups, rather than doing healthy walking, and
why sitting in traffic for them seems natural, except for the fact that they have so
big road arteries and easy free parking spaces, that function as incentive to drive, not
to forget that gas prices (very high in Europe) here are very cheap. Moreover, since I
started using the busto commute to campus, I had an impression of some kind of
stigma enveloping the bus system, as if it is in use for poor and minorities.
The movie is a semi historical document, explaining the trends in contemporary
American life, an investigative report on a set of social problems and their causes.

That hot day, the high school students were laughing and they laid stretched out near
the walls. In fact, some of them were aggressively touching one another.
I entered through the double doors. I signed in while school security officers wand
down students. Then I located the main office. Once inside, I was handed my
assignment papers titled: Chorus Concert I (Period 6).
The substitute teachers coordinator told me that I was assigned to two chorus classes.
Also, he alerted me that the students already knew which activity they were supposed

and unethical police work. Denzel Washington is a narcotics detective for the
LAPD named Alonzo Harris. His methods of enforcing the law are very
questionable during the film, if not corrupt. Harris job is to train rookie Jake Hoyt
over a 24 hour period. Many Ethical dilemmas arise for Hoyt and this presents
questions for him whether or not to follow along with Harris, and if his

The Crimea Incident and Its Lasting Effects On Politics
Two years ago, the Crimean Peninsula, an autonomous region of Ukraine, was put
under the global spotlight when it became the epicenter of the newest conflict
between Russia and the West. This conflict is only the most recent development in
Crimea s troubled history. The strategically situated peninsula on the Black Sea has
switched hands numerous times throughout history. The area has been under the rule
of the ancient Greeks, The Byzantine Empire, the Tatars of the Mongolian Golden
Horde, the Ottoman Empire, and of course most recently Tsarist Russia followed by
the Soviet Union.
To understand the conflict, which is being dubbed as the biggest crisis between
Russia and the West since the Cold War, one must first grasp the political and
historical background present in the Crimea region. While the Crimean region has a
long history spanning back to 6th century B.C., only the events since medieval times
is relevant to current issues, furthermore the most recent histories pose most
significance. Two years ago, Russia began its annexation of Crimea, which belonged
to Ukraine, after the pro Russian president, Viktor Yanukovych, was ousted from the
Ukrainian presidential office. The people of Crimea were outraged; they had voted
heavily in favor of him and following his removal they thought Yanukovych had been

Donato , was born in 1386 in Florence, Italy and died on December 13, 1466 in

Of the articles I read, the one that I found most convincing was We Require Balance.
Balance Requires Meat by Stacey Roussel. Roussel s perspective comes from the
perspective of a farmer. The reason being that I found Roussel s argument to be the
most convincing is because she explained why animals are important and was
reasonable in regards to both perspectives, vegan and non vegan. She openly admits
that society cannot function without animals, and therefore a balance needs to be
made between farmers and their land and the number of animals that are eaten.
Animals are not just used for meaat, but also fertilization for growing vegetables.

Housing codes in this country shape the way we live. They tell us everything from
what is considered to be a bedroom, to how many people can live in one dwelling.
Max Page and Ellen Pader looked at two different examples of the way the US s
housing policies have had a major impact on our society. Page examined the tearing
down of the slums in New York City. The governmentclaimed that the buildings were
old and unsafe, and thus needed to be demolished. Pader looked at eviction of ethnic
groups, particularly Latinos, from their homes in Chicago. The rational for the
evictions was that there were too many people occupying one space. This was

In other cultures, such as Latin America, the norms of spatial arrangement are
much different. People routinely sleep in kitchens, hallways and whole families
share houses. However these policies were attempting to Americanize the
immigrants, and rid them of their heritage. The codes also put a burden on the
lower class citizens. By defining what a bedroom was, and how many people can
sleep there, the government was telling people what size properties they needed to
buy for their families. For the immigrants, who generally lived all together as a
family, it meant that they were less able to afford good housing. (Pader 883)
Families were routinely shunted to the streets for violations of the codes. However
the government saw these steps as necessary. They were attempting to infuse
American values and norms onto the immigrants. Two people per room is deemed
reasonable and justifiable in our culture. It is engrained in our brains that this is just
the way things are. However this spatial arrangement was derived from the lives of

originally colonized this country, set the norms of the society. When new immigrants
came over who were seen as inferior, those living here attempted Americanize them
in their image. In the hopes to change their mentality and previous perception of
