The culture in and surrounding Uganda has fascinated me for a year or two now. I went to
Kabale Uganda for a mission trip during my spring break of senior year. I was able to teach the
students there for two weeks with my team and fell in love with it instantly. That trip spurred my
desire to teach in less fortunate countries once I finish college.
Once of the most significant differences between the Ugandan educational system and the
American educational system that I saw was that access to education was so limited in Uganda. In
1997 Uganda initiated what they called Universal Primary Education (UPE), which aims to
decrease poverty by making primary (elementary) school free, there by more accessible to it s
students. (Bategeka and Okurut, 2006). The problem with UPE is that the government decides
what schools will be part of the UPE program. Which means, the more remote areas may not
have a school that is supported by UPE in walking distance. There is no other form of
transportation for these students, it is highly uncommon for a family to own a car, and if they re
extremely fortunate they may own a bicycle. This forces the students to go to a boarding school

At the onset of this project we came up with the claim that I could use the logarithmic and/or
natural log to explain the decline in business. The way in which this is to be accomplished is by
taking all the sales figures from a 31 day period in 2007. We would then take another month with
the same 31 day period and take those figures. After graphing and comparing the two we
postulate that the graphs would show the direct decline graphically of what we will explain in this
paper. After graphing the figures we saw that the mathematical model that we had previously used
would not be adequate with the explanation. So we then did another 31 day comparative between

Why did Ignatius act like he didn t care nor love his mother or anyone around him? Why are
there so many different roles in this story but seem to have little or no connection? Who is
Ignatius and why should I read a whole novel mainly revolving him? It was disconcerting at first,
it was difficult to maintain interest but as the story progressed you saw deeper into the intricate
mind of this strange gentleman named Ignatius. You began to see that the lack of social skills
was rooted from scarring incidents in his childhood. That he wasn t a cold and unappealing man
