Wayne Williams Testimony
The expert testimony in the Wayne Williams case was vital in explaining the evidence to the jury
(Imwinkelried, 1983). It is reasonable to concede that jurors have no prior knowledge of forensic
science. Additionally, jurors will most likely have no prior knowledge of the different variations,
color spectrums, moreover the uniqueness of various items presented as evidence in this case. As a
prosecutor, it would important to include the testimony of fiber experts with extensive knowledge of
the article presented. This expert would be able to articulate to the jury the unique qualities as well
as characteristics of the fibers.
The prosecution in the Wayne Williams trial provided expert testimony that addressed the rare

Narrative Structure Of Unforgiven
Almost all movies have characteristics that categorize them in two or more genres. A great example
of this being Unforgiven. The film's dark and cynical characters occasionally resemble that of a film
noir while its overall narrative structure depicts itself as a classical western style film. While there is
an argument to call Unforgiven a film noir, it is hard to deny the idea that the film is mainly a film of
the western genre. The basis of this idea, mostly relies on the portrayal of the lead protagonist, and
the end of the film. While it would be easy to use setting, lighting, camera angles, etc to manifest the
idea, it would not do it justice. By using these narrative tropes, it becomes coherent that Unforgiven
is just another well–made film that uses the structure of a western to construct its plot.
Clint Eastwood's character, William, is a perfect example of the western classic hero. For example,
the character is unknown to both the viewer and to the society in the film. In The Structure of The
Western Film, the author describes the second similarity found in a western film as "The hero is a
stranger to this society" (41). One of the first scenes in Unforgiven shows William living in a small
home accompanied by his kids far away from the rest of civilization. His dirtied appearance gives
the audience the interpretation he is just an ordinary farmer trying to make a living and support his
family. However, he has an unknown past that is not fully discussed till much

Wayne Williams Case Study
In a 22 month span, starting in July 1979, 30 African American children and young men were
murdered or disappeared in Atlanta, Georgia (Nickell 1 of 2). Due to the various motives that each
murder presented, it was believed that multiple individuals were responsible for these crimes.
However only 1 person was ultimately charged with these homicides. The person that was found
responsible for 2 of the many murders is Wayne Williams. He was suspected and subsequently
arrested after police heard a splash in the water under a bridge on May 22, 1981, and Williams was
the only one on the bridge during the time frame of the body drop (Plummer 1 of 3). This case was
splashed all over headlines both nationally and internationally (Nickell 1 of 2). Due ... Show more

The largest piece of evidence against Williams was numerous similar fibers connected to the victims
and Williams's environment (Deadman 2 of 14). The various fiber evidence in this case was deemed
essential and "the strongest scientific link in this case" (Nickell 2 of 2). There were over 28 fiber
types involved in this case that linked to Williams, and of these 28, 14 were from a rug or carpet
(Deadman 13 of 14). These fibers were associated with "a bedroom carpet in Wayne Williams'
home, his bedspread, a yellow blanket found under that bed, a leather jacket hanging in Wayne's
closet, a gray glove in his station wagon..." (Plummer 2 of 3). Dog hairs, which were traced to
Williams's German Shepard Sheba, were also found; as well as scalp hairs that linked Williams to
one of the victims, Patrick Baltazar. The scalp hairs were 98% similar to Wayne Williams, and the
DNA sequence of the dog hairs could only be found in 1 out of 100 dogs. The combination of the
hair, and fibers at the same location strengthened the case against Williams. A multitude of "yellow
green nylon fibers and some violet acetate fibers" were located on the bodies and clothing of the
victims (Deadman 2 of 14). Fibers from 12 bodies

Wayne Williams: Fiber And Hair Evidence
The fiber and hair evidence collected from the bodies of the murder victims resulted in the
conviction of Wayne Williams in 1982 (CNN, 2010). Investigations located green carpet fibers that
displayed a specific pattern, red carpet fibers, yellow fibers, dog hair, as well as human hair on the
different bodies from 1979 until 1981. This collection of evidence was compared to the carpet fibers
from the home where Wayne Williams lived as well as the vehicle he drove. A sample of hair was
also taken from his dog and compared to those found on the bodies. A yellow blanket was found
under the bed of Wayne Williams, a sample of those fibers was also taken. Forensic examiners

Analysis Of Jay Z 's August 4th
Jay–Z's "December 4th" was the first song on his Black Album, which was released in 2003, during
one of the many peaks in the rapper's career. The song includes his mother talking about his
childhood in–between verses and is a very autobiographical song in the sense that he talks about his
life up until he formed the persona that is Jay–Z. Although "December 4th" is thought to have been
about the rappers's presumed retirement, the song does not allude to an end to his rap career,
instead, the "December 4th" is about the artist 's transition from Shawn Carter to Jay–Z. He tells the
story, not of the end, but of the beginning of Jay–Z and he does this by separating himself from his
former self, Shawn Carter; examining the importance that Carter played in the story of how Jay–Z
was born and continues to live. This song is very indicative of a speaker who is narrating and
advising his former self and showing the importance of accepting and how one came to be. The song
begins almost as a confessional, telling his audience about the decisions and choices he made
leading up to the creation of 'Jay–Z'. When he says, "I'm leaving after this song/ So you ain't gotta
feel no way about Jay so long/ At least let me tell you why I'm this way," the rapper is letting his
audience know that this song is about his life and the aspects of his upbringing that lead him to his
present life as Jay–Z. It is also important to note that the lines above are being told from the point of
view of Carter

The Cowboys By Mark Rydell
The western film "The Cowboys" directed by Mark Rydell, which stars John Wayne as the main
character Wil Andersen, who is a stiff necked rancher in Montana, stuck with working with a bunch

What Role Does Fiber Evidence Play In The Case Of Wayne...
Wayne Williams was suspected of murdering more than twenty young, African–American youths in
Atlanta, Georgia from 1979–1981. During an eight week trial, fiber evidence played a very big role
in the case against Wayne Williams in 1981. The District Attorney's office in Fulton County Georgia
used fiber debris that was found on the bodies of the deceased and traced them back to Wayne
Williams; the debris came from belongings of Williams' daily surroundings (automobile and home).
During the trial, fiber evidence was used against Williams in connection with twelve of the victims
and out of those twelve, hair and fiber evidence matched those of eleven victims (Saferstein, 2011).
In July of 1979 the first two victims were males, they were

Bush's response to the devastating Hurricane Katrina in 2005. This hurricane hit his hometown, New

and tend to the needs of the people. Lil Wayne expresses his feelings in the first parts of these lines
when he says "...Cause your president still choking" He how the president seemingly panicked and
"choked" at the sight of the disaster. He says "still choking" because he alludes to when Bush
choked on a pretzel in 2002. In the second part of the song, Weezy references the facts that major
sports teams, namely the New Orleans Hornets and the New Orleans Saints were forced to relocate
the other cities, or in the case of the Saints, were absent for any home games for the rest of the
season in 2005. Lil Wayne felt that with the sports teams moving out, he was the last major symbol
of the city of New Orleans. The last part of the verse,"..No governor, no help from the mayor...Just a
steady beating heart and a wish and a prayer...Let's pray", refers to the fact that the governor of
Louisiana at the time, Kathleen Blanco, failed to realize how powerful the hurricane was until it was
too late, so there were not many reinforcements. She took a large part of the blame for not better
preparing Louisiana for the hurricane. He says all New Orleans and the rest of Louisiana can do is

John Ford’s acclaimed film The Man Who Shot Liberty...
John Ford's acclaimed film The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) is well–known among
cinema buffs and historians to have emerged out of a brutal, often contentious process. Tension
between the lead actors, as well as tension between the actors and the director, spawned some of the
best behind the scenes stories of on–set rivalry and outright pettiness that still circulate in an
industry that is primarily built on controversy and rumor. The film itself must be regarded as a
masterpiece. This assessment is due in part to the brilliant performances by the cast and also in part
to an elegant, carefully crafted script. That said; one of the main reasons that the film distinguishes
itself above many of ford's other brilliant films is due to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This image is itself, an indication that the film intends to deal with a clash of ages or civilizations
within the context of American history. The train station and train are symbols for the conquering of
the West and the industrialization of America. In other words, the film expresses important ideas
about the age–old theme of progress versus tradition, as well as society versus the individual. The
central question of the film is whether or not the kind of frontier justice of the West, which was built
on gun–fighting and local law enforcement, was adaptable to the modern age. The character of
Ransom "Ranse" Stoddard (James Stewart) symbolizes the transition of American society by
earning his fame as a politician. The true frontiersman, Tom Doniphon (John Wayne), suffers a
drastically different fate. Despite being the man who actually shot Liberty Valance, Doniphon
remains unknown to fame. This is Ford's way of communicating to the audience that those who are
in power in our society are often in power through no power of their own. Also that the true spirit of
America resides in the common man, rather than in the man who is celebrated and attains social
power and influence.
Given these facts, the film can be seen as a cautionary tale considering the present–day
homogenization of culture. With an increase in social conformity comes a decrease in personal
morality. This is shown by the

The Meaning Of Hip Hop Music
Hip hop music and how it's changed
Historically black music has been expressed through hip hop for decades. As an African American
culture we express it for emotion, oppression, and feeling to get a point across. Hip hop music has
changed tremendously over the years. Over the last ten years, hip hop has evolved into rap as shown
by the style and subject of the lyrics or words. Many people ask the question, Is hip hop dead?
Others ask does it have meaning? The lyrical style and meaning of hip hop music is very different
from what it was before. Many people compare old music such as tupac, bigge, and Eazy E to new
music and base new music off of them. They also compare old djs such as Dr.Dre, Fatboy slim, and
carl cox to new ones as well. The relativity of word usage from the past to the present is very
different in many ways. For example, before any "rap" became "rap" hip hop had to be born. The
difference between hip hop and rap are very different. Hip hop is real feeling, real emotion. It has a
meaning in its words and it shows the listeners and hearers (mostly African Americans) have a
voice. The minorities need to have a voice and with hip hop they can. Through beat or through
lyrics. Now onto rap, with rap in today's time is the next step. It doesn't really have a meaning,
nowadays all people rap about is guns, money, girls, sex, and power. There is either little or no
meaning to the song's

The Hockey Players Of Gretzky
From the moment Wayne Gretzky strapped on his first pair of skates at the age of two, he has been
known as one of the best players ever to play in the National Hockey League and is known
worldwide. Like many other professional hockey players, Gretzky was born in Canada, Ontario,
Canada on January 26, 1961. At six years old, he was already playing hockey with older kids and
when he played in peewee, he dominated. His final year of peewee, he scored an astonishing 378
goals. As Gretzky grew up, he continued to train and become one of the best in Canada for his age
and also one of the best worldwide. After finishing his last season in mediocre competition, he was

Throughout his career in the NHL, Gretzky scored 894 goals, picked up 1,963 assists for a
combined total of 2,857 points. Most people know Gretzky for his years in Edmonton and Los
Angeles, but he was very influential in every city he played in, captaining all four teams he played
on, a very impressive feat. However, he was only captain of the Rangers when the full–time captain,
Mark Messier was suspended. Gretzky's +/– rating is also very impressive, a +518 rating for his
whole NHL year. His +/– rating is one of the best all time. Gretzky's stats not only show he could
play by himself, but he was also a team player. Gretzky did not have the greatest success in the
Stanley Cup Playoffs, but he still did win a few rings. He reached the playoffs sixteen times, and
made it to the playoffs at least once with the four teams he played for. However, he only won
Stanley Cups with the Edmonton Oilers and he did that four times in five years: 1983–84, 1984–85,
and 1986–87,1987–88. Though Gretzky would have liked to win some more Cups, he is happy to be
sitting at home with four rings on his fingers. Wayne Gretzky holds many records in the NHL and it
is very unlikely most of his records will be broken anytime soon. He holds or shares 61 NHL
records and there is a very high chance twenty five of those will never be broken. For examples,
career points, career goals, and career assists has a

Essay About My Speech
The first time I realized I had a speech impediment I was 5 years old. My cousins and I were sitting
on the back porch of my grandmother's house, on a hot summer afternoon in August. We were
talking about how pretty the flowers looked in my grandmother's backyard, when I said, "I just love
lellow flowers." As soon as that statement left my mouth, everyone laughed at me. I remember
thinking, "Why are they all laughing at me?" They asked me to say it again, and I said "lellow."
Until they told me I was saying it wrong, I never knew. My cousins laughing at me continuously
embarrassed me for the way I spoke. Whenever you are around a person for so long, you get used to

It took an insane amount of work for me to re–learn those sounds. I would work every day at school

words. My classmates would get aggravated any time I had to read out loud because they knew I
could not say the words correctly. I was embarrassed and never wanted to read in front of the class.
However, one thing I never had a problem doing was speaking in front of my friends. They knew I
had a problem speaking, but they never seemed to mind. They would help me whenever I needed a

Wayne Williams Case Summary
Case Summary. Wayne Bertram Williams: Accused Child Murderer. Between 1979 and 1981,
Wayne Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, was accused of the murder of over 20 children but was
convicted of the murder of two adults. The victim had officers that were an identical match to the

Williams was arrested. Williams was believed to be responsible for the murder involving two adults
because of the evidence, but not any of the children. The evidence also proves that Williams is the
culprit behind the children murders but the doubt was too compelling to be prosecuted any further.

Compare And Contrast Samsung And Apple
When watching multiple commercials for comparable products, sometimes even back to back, they
can seem very different at first but upon closer inspection some can start to see their similarities.
Both Samsung and Apple are prominent phone makers, and most people either own one of their
phones, or know of them. While both companies have commercials that are both similar and
different from one another, even the ones that seem to be the most different have their ties that make
them more comparable than one may think. In Apple's commercial for the iPhone called "Barber,"
and Samsung's Galaxy S7 commercial featuring Lil' Wayne, each has their own style in presenting
their product to potential viewers. Despite this they are both related in that they are both featuring
one specific feature for their products, have a lighthearted tone, a central focus, and a quick pace.
Making each one entertaining to watch, even multiple times. Both commercials are overall good and
when looking at the similarities, these are what make the commercials even more so. Apple's
commercial simply called, "Barbers," begins with the ad showing a barbershop from the outside, and
quickly goes to the inside where a man is getting his hair cut. While another guy is sitting in one of
the chairs he decides to take out his iPhone to take a picture once the man is done. The barber then
decides to put this picture on the window of the shop. This creates a snowball effect as more and

hop dead? Others ask does it have meaning? The lyrical style and meaning of hip hop music is very
different from what it was before. Many people compare old music such as tupac, bigge, and Eazy E
to new music and base new music off of them. They also compare old djs such as Dr.Dre, Fatboy
slim, and carl cox to new ones as well.
The relativity of word usage from the past to the present is very different in many ways. For
example, before any "rap" became "rap" hip hop had to be born. The difference between hip hop and
rap are very different. Hip hop is real feeling, real emotion. It has a meaning in its words and it
shows the listeners and hearers (mostly African Americans) have a voice. The minorities need to
have a voice and with hip hop they can. Through beat or through lyrics. Now onto rap, with rap in
today's time is the next step. It doesn't really have a meaning, nowadays all people rap about is guns,
money, girls, sex, and power. There is either little or no meaning to the song's lyrics. Here's an
excerpt of what I mean.

Fiber Evidence: The Wayne Williams Case
The city of Atlanta had experienced over a two year period from 1979–1981 of egregious acts of
murders committed on more than twenty African American adolescent males. However, Wayne
Williams, a native of Atlanta, was the center of law enforcement investigation, which implicated his
involvement in at least two of the children murders around that time. Nonetheless, law enforcement
linked Wayne Williams to those murders because of detailed evidence found on the victims, which
was later discovered that evidence was from Williams apartment (Curriden, 1992). Furthermore, the
evidence which was found was a unique fiber from the carpet of Williams apartment and the number
of people having this fiber was very small in number (Curriden, 1992)). The fiber evidence was the
main part of the case to associate Williams with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, hair was found on several of the victims, which the two murders Williams was convicted for
had his hair on the victims and some victims had hair of a German Shepard dog on them and
Williams was the owner of that type of dog. Although law enforcement stated they linked Wayne
Williams to 24 of the 29 cases and effectively closed the cases, Williams was convicted for being
DNA linked to only two and never was tried in those additional cases (Deadman, 1984).
Nevertheless, Williams defense attorneys were now seeking a new trial claiming the police
department restrained evidence linking the Klu Klux Klan to 20 of the murders (Deadman, 1984).
Namely, a reliable informant for 18 years Billy Joe Whitaker stated a Klan member Charles Sanders
admitted on tape his involvement in twenty of the slaying. Whitaker stated Sanders pledged to kill

Wayne Williams Thesis Statement
Wayne Williams was born on May 27th, 1958 to Homer and Faye Williams of Atlanta, Georgia. He
graduated from Douglass High School and furthered his education at Georgia State University, but
later dropped out to explore a new talent. Williams took a specific interest in music, pursuing a
career in radio and managing a band. Williams' educational background and career both were pivotal
to his defense. In 1979, children and teens seemed to simple vanish. Each child met certain criteria:
young, black, and from Atlanta. The first two victims, Edward Smith and Alfred Evans, who were
both 14 years old, disappeared four days apart in June. Both of their bodies were found close
together in a remote, wooded area of South Atlanta one month later. Nine–year–old Yusuf Bell went
missing on October 21st, 1979 and his body was recovered November 8th of the same year. Police
did not connect the dots with Bell's murder because he was fully clothed, found in a remote area, but
was strangled to death, unlike Smith and Evans, who were shot with a .22 caliber. Williams' next
alleged victim, 12–year–old Angel Lenair, was also strangled. She was found in an abandoned lot,
fully clothed, with child underwear stuffed in her mouth. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The racial tension and confession of KKK members surrounding the murder are also very
suspicious. Were the confessions thoroughly investigated? Witnesses of many of the child murders
also note two black men, not one. It is very hard to believe that only one person acted alone to plan,
kidnap, and murder all 30 victims of a two–year span. If Williams was guilty, should it have been
more evidence and convicted of more than just two murders? I am unsure if Wayne Williams
committed these crimes, due to the lack of evidence, the ease of the trial, and biological

Wayne Williams Essay
Wayne Williams was charged with murdering two people in Atlanta, Georgia. Shockingly enough,
he was also linked to the killing of ten other boys. The way the evidence effected this trial is what
makes the case so well known. There were 28 different types of fibers linking Williams to the
murder victims. That can be an overwhelming amount of evidence. This case happened in the 1980s
and the evidence presented in the case was crucial to proving Williams guilt. While investigations
were going on to determine how victims died, there was a discovery of fibers on the victims' bodies.
The goal of the investigator was to determine if any fibers in Wayne Williams home or person
matched those fibers found on the victims. Williams denied killing ... Show more content on

There were 28 fiber types linked to 19 items from the house, bedroom and vehicles of Wayne
Williams. The prosecution responded that there were so many fiber matches between the Williams'
household and the victims that it was impossible for the victims not to have been in Williams' home
and cars. So the big question: were the fibers so common that they could have been picked up
anywhere, or did they link Williams to the murder? The problem with fiber evidence is that fibers
are not unique. They are not like fingerprints. They are not considered solid evidence, because there
are a lot of what ifs? The fibers linked this case in the first place, but who's to say they make
Williams the murderer. Personally, I think there is too much play room with fibers. Apparently the
matching fibers were taken only from victims. Only one individual red cotton fiber was found at the
Williams home. Could this be found in somewhere else, also? I think so. Not one fiber from any
victim was found anywhere near the carpet in the Williams' house. After studying this case, I do
think that Wayne Williams committed the murders, but I do not think that the fiber evidence is
reliable. Unfortunately, the fibers could be found elsewhere so how does that pin point Williams as

Wayne Williams Fiber Evidence Case Study
In the case of Wayne Williams, the fiber evidence was key in obtaining the conviction for the
murders (Imwinkelried, 1983). The fiber evidence most assuredly led to the jury's final decision of
guilty, without this evidence a case could not have been formed to display the guilt of Wayne
Williams without the shadow of a doubt. In addition to the fiber evidence, the prosecution presented
hair evidence that displayed a 98% chance of belonging to Wayne Williams as well as his German
Shepherd, Sheba (Deadman, 1984). This evidence alone would not have proven the guilt of Wayne
Williams. The prosecution also presented witness testimony linking Wayne Williams to some of the
victims despite his own testimony relaying he had no contact with them. The

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance Analysis
John Ford's The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) centers around the story of infamous bandit
Liberty Valance's death. Ransom Stoddard (James Stewart) reveals the little known fact that it was
not he, the new–to–the West lawyer, but Western gunslinger Tom Doniphon (John Wayne) who shot
Valance. A newspaper editor decides to leave Ransom's account unpublicized. He explains, "This is
the West, sir. When the legend becomes fact, print the legend." From a historical perspective, this
statement can be read as exhibited awareness of the West's mythification. In this essay, I will show
how the film additionally less explicitly draws attention to the mythification of the West by
representing elements of the West differently than how characters imagine them. Because the film's
narrative is conveyed as a frame tale, action takes place in two different time periods. The opening
scene mainly consists of desolate land with mountains in the background. As train a train advances
across the frame from right to left, it enters the foreground. The vehicle serves two functions. Firstly,
it brings Ransom and his wife, Hallie, to the Western town of Shinbone so that they may attend
Tom's wake. Mourning Tom provides the basis for the framing narrative. Ransom initiates an
embedded story, the tale of Liberty Valance's downfall, while talking to reporters in Shinbone. The
train's second, more symbolic function is its role as a sign of modernity. As opposed to journeying
by training in the

the development of forensics. Wayne Williams is a major case study within fibre analysis as it was a

Essay about Macklemore Otherside Analysis
Otherside–Macklemore "We live on the cusp of death thinking that it won't be us," (l.32).
Macklemore is saying that people think that they will not die from doing drugs. In this song
Macklemore is stating that drugs can be really addictive also he states that drugs can really mess you
up and how media influences you to do drugs, for example rappers like Lil Wayne which he talks
about in this song and Wiz Kalifa. Strong poetic devices permeate throughout Macklemore's song
Otherside for example he uses allusions, repetition and end rhyme. An example of a poetic device
that Macklemore uses in this song is allusion. One allusion Macklemore uses is "Groundhog Day

He is also saying to keep him on this high of making his music instead of using drugs to get high.
Macklemore uses repetition in his songs to help emphasize what he is talking about. One other
poetic device that Macklemore uses in his song is end rhyme. One form of end rhyme in his song
would be, "there's no way to glorify this pavement/ syrup, Percocet, hit an eight a day will leave you
broke depressed and emotionally vacant,"(ll.45–46). The rhyme in this line would be pavement and
vacant which is also a forced rhyme. He also states that if you become addicted to drugs you can go
broke, go into a type of depression and become emotionally vacant in other words destroy you.
Another use of end rhyme in this song would be, "surprise, you know the drill/ trapped in a box, to
climb record sales/ follow the formula violence, drugs and sex sells/ so we try to sound like
someone else"(ll.40–43). In this line the words that would rhyme would be sales, sells, and else.
Macklemore is also stating the fakeness of today's rappers who tend to rap about drugs and things
they haven't done when they should be rapping about their lives and struggles they have been
through. Macklemore uses end rhyme to tie in certain lines that should be read together. Media can
really affect how someone thinks or looks at drugs and Macklemore helps explain this trough this
song by using allusions, repetitions, and end rhyme. This also applies to my life by

The Music Of The Children 's Chorus Of Crane ( Ccc )
I love music and I have dedicated a lot of my time to what I love. I have been in the Children's
Chorus of Crane (CCC), played piano, and been in the Clarkson Golden Knotes a cappella group.
From all of these musical experiences, I learned to become a better musician. I learned that the
benefit of producing music outweighs the time and dedication I must put into it. I have experienced
the satisfaction of performing music for other's enjoyment. These are talents I will be able to take
with me forever.
When I was younger, I was in the CCC from 3rd grade to 10th grade. I learned dedication. I was

Technology has progressed during this generation which has corrupted the minds of teens
everywhere. Since technology has become a huge factor in generation y's lives, the technology for
music has transformed as well. Just in generation y's period of time, the way to obtain music
advanced from cassettes to downloading or pirating music. When someone wanted to purchase a
song, they would have to buy the whole cassette or cd. In reality, they spent way too much just to
listen to that one or two songs. Technology has created a way that people can buy or steal songs.
Without technology generation y would be lost, technology helps music define a generation.
Generations before generation y think that television, music videos, and music in general has
affected the kids in generation y. Trends and habits are formed by listening or watching. Music has
wonderful and meaningful effects on different people depending on how the music is retained.
Music videos affect generations differently because each generation has a different outlook and
opinion on the lyrics. Each teen or adult reacts to music videos differently. Most songs and music
videos incorporate love along with heart breaks, life scenarios, money and the different styles of life.

Essay on Western Movies Since 1960
A NOT–SO–ACCURATE prophet once wrote, "As recently as 1972, there were a tremendous
number of quality Westerns being made . . . and since there seems to be a ten–year cycle in Western
movie making, I'd say we'll see more in about 1982." 1 In 1982 only two Westerns were
released, and neither was exactly a major success. Barbarosa, starring Willie Nelson, drew some
respectable reviews–and some very damaging ones–but nobody went to see the film. The Ballad of
Gregorio Cortez appeared first on PBS television, then later went into general release. Today the
Western seems to be deader than the California Med–fly. Critics and aficionados of the form can
only hear, as with Arnold's sea of faith, its long receding roar.

? Obviously it couldn't. For all subsequent generations, then, the Western has to be rediscovered,
like some store of ancient literature one studies in school.
Reviewing the last twenty–five years of the Western, 1960–1985, is salutary for both aficionados
and novices. The sixties began with a great film done in the sparest, most austere classical manner,
Budd Boetticher's Comanche Station (1960). The last of the Renown cycle of seven films that
Boetticher made with Randolph Scott, Comanche Station reduces the elements of the journey
Western to create one of its purest expressions ever. Scott is an aging knight, a man "always
alone in Comanche country," who, reminiscent of John Wayne's searcher, hunts endlessly for
his wife, taken ten years previously by the Comanches. He buys a woman out of captivity–not his
wife, of course, whom he will never find–and escorts her back to her husband. The journey pits him
against a charming, evil adversary (Claude Akins), and the trip becomes the occasion for a moral
dialectic of the kind for which the Western seems the perfect vehicle. In the end the villain adopts
Scott's code, dying honorably, and Scott delivers the wife to her husband. He turns out to be a blind
man, a fact that surprises and pleases because all through the film we have worried, along with
Scott, about what kind of man would leave such a woman to another's care. It is a great film, and

Once you see Lil Wayne's name you have to be ready to take in some mind–blowing lyrics. Lil

first player to score 50 goals in 50 games, he was the first 500 goal scorer in the history of the NHL.
Not only did he score goals at will but he also scored the big goals, for example, he scored the most
goals scored in overtime during the post–season, a record that he would hold until October 2006.
Two of them against the heavily favoured Detroit Red Wings in 1951 both in Detroit one a minute
into the 4th overtime period and the next 2 minutes into 3rd overtime period. During his eighteen
year hockey career all with the Montreal Canadiens, he would collect eight stanley cups, one league
MVP, eight time first all star and sic time second all star. This goals would later make him maybe of
"the most iconic player in the history of the Montreal Canadiens". One of the greatest assets richard
had as a hockey player was his eyes.
His eyes were considered to be ones from " the look of escaped mental patient." and "Balls shining

Wayne Williams Evidence
When Wayne Williams was trialed for the death of two victims, DNA testing was not a reliable
source in courtrooms as evident (Polk, 2015). A conviction could have been rendered without the
fiber evidence in this case. The prosecution had a strong case in providing the evidence from the
DNA of the hair obtained from the crime scene. On February 13, 1981, when Patrick Baltazar's body
was found dumped down a wooded slope behind an office park (Polk, 2015). A forensic scientist
discovered two human scalp hairs inside Baltazar's shirt. The DNA sample was tested under a
microscope by both the FBI and Royal Canadian Mounted Police (Polk, 2015). The hair sample was
consistent with Wayne William's DNA. This placed William at the scene of the crime. The ... Show

Another major evidence were also dog hairs on the body of Baltazar. In 2007, the dog hair sample
was sent to a genetics laboratory at the University of California School of Veterinary Medicine of
Davis (Polk, 2010). It was confirmed that Williams' German Shepherd had the same DNA sequence.
The lab reported that DNA chain could only be found in 1 out of 100 dogs (Polk, 2015). A major
factor, in this case, was multiple jurisdictions for conviction, not the forensic evidence. It was ruled
and confirmed by scientists that the hair evidence in the Baltazar murder to be the strongest of this
case (Polk, 2010). Consequently, the trial took place in Fulton County Court, one of the largest parts
of Atlanta. Baltazar's body had been found just over the line in the DeKalb County portion of
Atlanta. Due to a different jurisdiction, trying to include his death among the Fulton County charges
would have raised legal issues (Polk, 2010). The lack of this critical scientific evidence made it hard
to convict Williams of this murder and other murders in the state of

Native Americans and Their Intrinsic Relationship with...
Dances With Wolves, directed by Kevin Costner, and The Searchers, directed by John Ford, looks
into the fabric of this country's past. The media has created a false image of the relationship between
Native Americans and White men to suppress the cruel and unfortunate reality. Both directors
wanted to contradict these stereotypes, but due to the time period the films were created, only one
film was successful. Unlike The Searchers, Dancing With Wolves presents a truly realistic
representation of Native Americans.
Both Dances With Wolves and The Searchers protagonists, Dunbar and Ethan, embark on a journey
and evolve in different ways. The purpose of Dunbar's journey is to find who he is. For Ethan, it is
to rescue his nieces who he feels ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this depiction, the Native Americans lure the men away from their homes, savagely kill their
families, and commit wrong. It is the white men who have to painstakingly hunt down the Indians to
reinstate justice, righting the wrongs that have been done. Native Americans are depicted as a
demonizing form of "the other," a force to which fear and repression can be the only responses.
Costner's work almost inverts this.
Both films critique White racism and violence. Dunbar is guilty of the Whites and realizes that they
are involved in a system where the Native culture, habitats, and populations are being destroyed. To
purge his overwhelming sense of guilt, he switches sides and fights against his old comrades. White
society is the demon while the Native Americans are apotheosized. In The Searchers, Ford presented
Ethan not as the hero but almost as a subtle villain, a racist that embarks on a fixated and zealous
mission that is fuelled by his hatred of Native Americans. Ford uses Ethan to depict the wrong
actions of Whites.
Kevin Costner and John Ford both use the Natives language in their films. The big difference is the
effort of the directors. Costner uses sub–titles and actual Native language unlike Ford. Ford does not
use the proper language for the Comanche. In beginning of Dances With Wolves, there is not as
much dialogue between Dunbar and Natives, but the body language is significant along with other
forms of symbolic communication used to make the story

Wayne Williams Testimony

  • 1. Wayne Williams Testimony The expert testimony in the Wayne Williams case was vital in explaining the evidence to the jury (Imwinkelried, 1983). It is reasonable to concede that jurors have no prior knowledge of forensic science. Additionally, jurors will most likely have no prior knowledge of the different variations, color spectrums, moreover the uniqueness of various items presented as evidence in this case. As a prosecutor, it would important to include the testimony of fiber experts with extensive knowledge of the article presented. This expert would be able to articulate to the jury the unique qualities as well as characteristics of the fibers. The prosecution in the Wayne Williams trial provided expert testimony that addressed the rare greenish carpet fibers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Narrative Structure Of Unforgiven Almost all movies have characteristics that categorize them in two or more genres. A great example of this being Unforgiven. The film's dark and cynical characters occasionally resemble that of a film noir while its overall narrative structure depicts itself as a classical western style film. While there is an argument to call Unforgiven a film noir, it is hard to deny the idea that the film is mainly a film of the western genre. The basis of this idea, mostly relies on the portrayal of the lead protagonist, and the end of the film. While it would be easy to use setting, lighting, camera angles, etc to manifest the idea, it would not do it justice. By using these narrative tropes, it becomes coherent that Unforgiven is just another well–made film that uses the structure of a western to construct its plot. Clint Eastwood's character, William, is a perfect example of the western classic hero. For example, the character is unknown to both the viewer and to the society in the film. In The Structure of The Western Film, the author describes the second similarity found in a western film as "The hero is a stranger to this society" (41). One of the first scenes in Unforgiven shows William living in a small home accompanied by his kids far away from the rest of civilization. His dirtied appearance gives the audience the interpretation he is just an ordinary farmer trying to make a living and support his family. However, he has an unknown past that is not fully discussed till much ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Wayne Williams Case Study In a 22 month span, starting in July 1979, 30 African American children and young men were murdered or disappeared in Atlanta, Georgia (Nickell 1 of 2). Due to the various motives that each murder presented, it was believed that multiple individuals were responsible for these crimes. However only 1 person was ultimately charged with these homicides. The person that was found responsible for 2 of the many murders is Wayne Williams. He was suspected and subsequently arrested after police heard a splash in the water under a bridge on May 22, 1981, and Williams was the only one on the bridge during the time frame of the body drop (Plummer 1 of 3). This case was splashed all over headlines both nationally and internationally (Nickell 1 of 2). Due ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The largest piece of evidence against Williams was numerous similar fibers connected to the victims and Williams's environment (Deadman 2 of 14). The various fiber evidence in this case was deemed essential and "the strongest scientific link in this case" (Nickell 2 of 2). There were over 28 fiber types involved in this case that linked to Williams, and of these 28, 14 were from a rug or carpet (Deadman 13 of 14). These fibers were associated with "a bedroom carpet in Wayne Williams' home, his bedspread, a yellow blanket found under that bed, a leather jacket hanging in Wayne's closet, a gray glove in his station wagon..." (Plummer 2 of 3). Dog hairs, which were traced to Williams's German Shepard Sheba, were also found; as well as scalp hairs that linked Williams to one of the victims, Patrick Baltazar. The scalp hairs were 98% similar to Wayne Williams, and the DNA sequence of the dog hairs could only be found in 1 out of 100 dogs. The combination of the hair, and fibers at the same location strengthened the case against Williams. A multitude of "yellow green nylon fibers and some violet acetate fibers" were located on the bodies and clothing of the victims (Deadman 2 of 14). Fibers from 12 bodies ... • 17. Wayne Williams: Fiber And Hair Evidence The fiber and hair evidence collected from the bodies of the murder victims resulted in the conviction of Wayne Williams in 1982 (CNN, 2010). Investigations located green carpet fibers that displayed a specific pattern, red carpet fibers, yellow fibers, dog hair, as well as human hair on the different bodies from 1979 until 1981. This collection of evidence was compared to the carpet fibers from the home where Wayne Williams lived as well as the vehicle he drove. A sample of hair was also taken from his dog and compared to those found on the bodies. A yellow blanket was found under the bed of Wayne Williams, a sample of those fibers was also taken. • 21. Analysis Of Jay Z 's August 4th Jay–Z's "December 4th" was the first song on his Black Album, which was released in 2003, during one of the many peaks in the rapper's career. The song includes his mother talking about his childhood in–between verses and is a very autobiographical song in the sense that he talks about his life up until he formed the persona that is Jay–Z. Although "December 4th" is thought to have been about the rappers's presumed retirement, the song does not allude to an end to his rap career, instead, the "December 4th" is about the artist 's transition from Shawn Carter to Jay–Z. He tells the story, not of the end, but of the beginning of Jay–Z and he does this by separating himself from his former self, Shawn Carter; examining the importance that Carter played in the story of how Jay–Z was born and continues to live. This song is very indicative of a speaker who is narrating and advising his former self and showing the importance of accepting and how one came to be. The song begins almost as a confessional, telling his audience about the decisions and choices he made leading up to the creation of 'Jay–Z'. When he says, "I'm leaving after this song/ So you ain't gotta feel no way about Jay so long/ At least let me tell you why I'm this way," the rapper is letting his audience know that this song is about his life and the aspects of his upbringing that lead him to his present life as Jay–Z. It is also important to note that the lines above are being told from the point of view of Carter ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

During an eight week trial, fiber evidence played a very big role in the case against Wayne Williams in 1981. The District Attorney's office in Fulton County Georgia used fiber debris that was found on the bodies of the deceased and traced them back to Wayne Williams; the debris came from belongings of Williams' daily surroundings (automobile and home). During the trial, fiber evidence was used against Williams in connection with twelve of the victims and out of those twelve, hair and fiber evidence matched those of eleven victims (Saferstein, 2011). Lil Wayne felt that with the sports teams moving out, he was the last major symbol of the city of New Orleans. The last part of the verse,"..No governor, no help from the mayor...Just a steady beating heart and a wish and a prayer...Let's pray", refers to the fact that the governor of Louisiana at the time, Kathleen Blanco, failed to realize how powerful the hurricane was until it was too late, so there were not many reinforcements. John Ford's acclaimed film The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) is well–known among cinema buffs and historians to have emerged out of a brutal, often contentious process. Tension between the lead actors, as well as tension between the actors and the director, spawned some of the best behind the scenes stories of on–set rivalry and outright pettiness that still circulate in an industry that is primarily built on controversy and rumor. The film itself must be regarded as a masterpiece. This assessment is due in part to the brilliant performances by the cast and also in part to an elegant, carefully crafted script. This image is itself, an indication that the film intends to deal with a clash of ages or civilizations within the context of American history. The train station and train are symbols for the conquering of the West and the industrialization of America. In other words, the film expresses important ideas about the age–old theme of progress versus tradition, as well as society versus the individual. The central question of the film is whether or not the kind of frontier justice of the West, which was built on gun–fighting and local law enforcement, was adaptable to the modern age. The character of Ransom "Ranse" Stoddard (James Stewart) symbolizes the transition of American society by earning his fame as a politician. The true frontiersman, Tom Doniphon (John Wayne), suffers a drastically different fate. Despite being the man who actually shot Liberty Valance, Doniphon remains unknown to fame. This is Ford's way of communicating to the audience that those who are in power in our society are often in power through no power of their own. Also that the true spirit of America resides in the common man, rather than in the man who is celebrated and attains social power and influence. Given these facts, the film can be seen as a cautionary tale considering the present–day homogenization of culture. With an increase in social conformity comes a decrease in personal morality. Over the last ten years, hip hop has evolved into rap as shown by the style and subject of the lyrics or words. Many people ask the question, Is hip hop dead? Others ask does it have meaning? His +/– rating is one of the best all time. Gretzky's stats not only show he could play by himself, but he was also a team player. Gretzky did not have the greatest success in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but he still did win a few rings. Both Samsung and Apple are prominent phone makers, and most people either own one of their phones, or know of them. While both companies have commercials that are both similar and different from one another, even the ones that seem to be the most different have their ties that make them more comparable than one may think. In Apple's commercial for the iPhone called "Barber," and Samsung's Galaxy S7 commercial featuring Lil' Wayne, each has their own style in presenting their product to potential viewers. Despite this they are both related in that they are both featuring one specific feature for their products, have a lighthearted tone, a central focus, and a quick pace. He graduated from Douglass High School and furthered his education at Georgia State University, but later dropped out to explore a new talent. Williams took a specific interest in music, pursuing a career in radio and managing a band. Williams' educational background and career both were pivotal to his defense. In 1979, children and teens seemed to simple vanish. Each child met certain criteria: young, black, and from Atlanta. The first two victims, Edward Smith and Alfred Evans, who were both 14 years old, disappeared four days apart in June. The way the evidence effected this trial is what makes the case so well known. There were 28 different types of fibers linking Williams to the murder victims. That can be an overwhelming amount of evidence. This case happened in the 1980s and the evidence presented in the case was crucial to proving Williams guilt. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There were 28 fiber types linked to 19 items from the house, bedroom and vehicles of Wayne Williams. The prosecution responded that there were so many fiber matches between the Williams' household and the victims that it was impossible for the victims not to have been in Williams' home and cars. So the big question: were the fibers so common that they could have been picked up anywhere, or did they link Williams to the murder? The problem with fiber evidence is that fibers are not unique. They are not like fingerprints. They are not considered solid evidence, because there are a lot of what ifs? The fibers linked this case in the first place, but who's to say they make Williams the murderer. Personally, I think there is too much play room with fibers. Apparently the matching fibers were taken only from victims. Only one individual red cotton fiber was found at the Williams home. Could this be found in somewhere else, also? I think so. Not one fiber from any victim was found anywhere near the carpet in the Williams' house. After studying this case, I do think that Wayne Williams committed the murders, but I do not think that the fiber evidence is reliable. • 93. Wayne Williams Fiber Evidence Case Study In the case of Wayne Williams, the fiber evidence was key in obtaining the conviction for the murders (Imwinkelried, 1983). The fiber evidence most assuredly led to the jury's final decision of guilty, without this evidence a case could not have been formed to display the guilt of Wayne Williams without the shadow of a doubt. In addition to the fiber evidence, the prosecution presented hair evidence that displayed a 98% chance of belonging to Wayne Williams as well as his German Shepherd, Sheba (Deadman, 1984). This evidence alone would not have proven the guilt of Wayne Williams. The prosecution also presented witness testimony linking Wayne Williams to some of the victims despite his own testimony relaying he had no contact with them. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 97. The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance Analysis John Ford's The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) centers around the story of infamous bandit Liberty Valance's death. Ransom Stoddard (James Stewart) reveals the little known fact that it was not he, the new–to–the West lawyer, but Western gunslinger Tom Doniphon (John Wayne) who shot Valance. A newspaper editor decides to leave Ransom's account unpublicized. He explains, "This is the West, sir. When the legend becomes fact, print the legend." From a historical perspective, this statement can be read as exhibited awareness of the West's mythification. In this essay, I will show how the film additionally less explicitly draws attention to the mythification of the West by representing elements of the West differently than how characters imagine them. Because the film's narrative is conveyed as a frame tale, action takes place in two different time periods. The opening scene mainly consists of desolate land with mountains in the background. As train a train advances across the frame from right to left, it enters the foreground. The vehicle serves two functions. Firstly, it brings Ransom and his wife, Hallie, to the Western town of Shinbone so that they may attend Tom's wake. Mourning Tom provides the basis for the framing narrative. Ransom initiates an embedded story, the tale of Liberty Valance's downfall, while talking to reporters in Shinbone. The train's second, more symbolic function is its role as a sign of modernity. As opposed to journeying by training in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The rhyme in this line would be pavement and vacant which is also a forced rhyme. He also states that if you become addicted to drugs you can go broke, go into a type of depression and become emotionally vacant in other words destroy you. Another use of end rhyme in this song would be, "surprise, you know the drill/ trapped in a box, to climb record sales/ follow the formula violence, drugs and sex sells/ so we try to sound like someone else"(ll.40–43). In this line the words that would rhyme would be sales, sells, and else. Macklemore is also stating the fakeness of today's rappers who tend to rap about drugs and things they haven't done when they should be rapping about their lives and struggles they have been through. Essay on Western Movies Since 1960 A NOT–SO–ACCURATE prophet once wrote, "As recently as 1972, there were a tremendous number of quality Westerns being made . . . and since there seems to be a ten–year cycle in Western movie making, I'd say we'll see more in about 1982." 1 In 1982 only two Westerns were released, and neither was exactly a major success. Barbarosa, starring Willie Nelson, drew some respectable reviews–and some very damaging ones–but nobody went to see the film. For all subsequent generations, then, the Western has to be rediscovered, like some store of ancient literature one studies in school. Reviewing the last twenty–five years of the Western, 1960–1985, is salutary for both aficionados and novices. The sixties began with a great film done in the sparest, most austere classical manner, Budd Boetticher's Comanche Station (1960). The last of the Renown cycle of seven films that Boetticher made with Randolph Scott, Comanche Station reduces the elements of the journey Western to create one of its purest expressions ever. Scott is an aging knight, a man "always alone in Comanche country," who, reminiscent of John Wayne's searcher, hunts endlessly for his wife, taken ten years previously by the Comanches. He buys a woman out of captivity–not his wife, of course, whom he will never find–and escorts her back to her husband. The journey pits him against a charming, evil adversary (Claude Akins), and the trip becomes the occasion for a moral dialectic of the kind for which the Western seems the perfect vehicle. In the end the villain adopts Scott's code, dying honorably, and Scott delivers the wife to her husband. He turns out to be a blind man, a fact that surprises and pleases because all through the film we have worried, along with Scott, about what kind of man would leave such a woman to another's care. Dances With Wolves, directed by Kevin Costner, and The Searchers, directed by John Ford, looks into the fabric of this country's past. The media has created a false image of the relationship between Native Americans and White men to suppress the cruel and unfortunate reality. Both directors wanted to contradict these stereotypes, but due to the time period the films were created, only one film was successful. Unlike The Searchers, Dancing With Wolves presents a truly realistic representation of Native Americans. In this depiction, the Native Americans lure the men away from their homes, savagely kill their families, and commit wrong. It is the white men who have to painstakingly hunt down the Indians to reinstate justice, righting the wrongs that have been done. Native Americans are depicted as a demonizing form of "the other," a force to which fear and repression can be the only responses. Costner's work almost inverts this. Both films critique White racism and violence. Dunbar is guilty of the Whites and realizes that they are involved in a system where the Native culture, habitats, and populations are being destroyed. To purge his overwhelming sense of guilt, he switches sides and fights against his old comrades. White society is the demon while the Native Americans are apotheosized. In The Searchers, Ford presented Ethan not as the hero but almost as a subtle villain, a racist that embarks on a fixated and zealous mission that is fuelled by his hatred of Native Americans. Ford uses Ethan to depict the wrong actions of Whites. Kevin Costner and John Ford both use the Natives language in their films. The big difference is the effort of the directors. Costner uses sub–titles and actual Native language unlike Ford. Ford does not use the proper language for the Comanche.
