The Global Research Analyst Settlement
1.INTRODUCTION RESEARCH QUESTION The Global Research Analyst Settlement is an
agreement between the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and ten of the leading
investment banks, it was announced April 28, 2003. The agreement came to fruition after vast
investigations into possible conflicts of interests amongst security analysts working at investment
banks. This agreement lead Barber, Lehavy and Trueman to write the paper; Comparing the stock
recommendation performance of investment banks and independent research firms. The agreement
spurred two important questions amongst the authors: (1) are the recommendations from
independent research firms (IR) superior to recommendations from investment banks (IB); (2) was
the implicit... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Clarke et al. (2004) researched this issue as well and concluded the long term average abnormal
returns for upgrades issued by IR, IB and brokerages are insignificantly different from each
other; downgrades as well. Cliff (2004) found buy recommendations from IR significantly
outperformed those of IB, and sell recommendations underperformed. Lin et al. (2005) examined
time patterns rather than performance. Concluding, IB analysts are significantly slower to
revise their buy and hold recommendations. However, the evidence is not as strong for
downgrades from strong buy. While these papers helped shed light on an important topic there
were holes within their analysis. Clarke et al. (2004) analyze abnormal returns for bull and bear
market periods for stocks with IB business near the time of recommendation issuance.
Additionally, a 250 day holding period was used for all recommended stock, with no regard for a
change in recommendation or if it was dropped altogether. Moreover, Cliff (2004) offers no
contrasts of abnormal returns between the bull and bear market stages or for firms with or without
recent securities offerings. Also, there is no examination of non leading IB analyst
recommendations. Therefore, Barber et al. (2007) contribute to previous literature in a number of
ways. Firstly, providing empirical backing for the Global Research Analyst Settlement; IB and IR

Non profit health plans are estimated to serve over 40% or more of all private health insurance
enrollees.
Nonprofit health care organizations are primary responsible and accountable to the communities
and populations they serve. They are legally and ethically bound to do good for the benefit of their
communities. Their governing bodies are comprised of leaders from the communities they serve.
The earnings and reserves of nonprofit health care organizations are reinvested to benefit the
community.(1).
III.Definition of Profit Health Care Organization.
For profit health care and organizations have a misconception that this automatically means higher
costs and a lower level of quality. There are several studies that directly contradict this assumption.
In a study that was conducted by Blue Cross, the findings showed that there was not an increase in
costs and that there was not a negative effect on the availability of health care.
For profit providers look at health care as a business, with a financial bottom line producing profits
that can be distributed to shareholders. Supporters of for profit health care say that increased
competition can produce a more efficient, effective, less expensive health care system. Since the
1980s, for profit health care facilities have proliferated, including national hospital chains, health

Essay on The Holy Bible
Genesis Chapter One as an Executive Summary
In the beginning... Genesis 1:1
Acknowledging a beginning in the first sentence of any text is in itself indicative of the nature of
the text as a whole. It is an acknowledgement of a creation. It is an admission that what is has not
always existed and that a higher power is at work. Genesis begins with this phrase as a reminder of
the existence of God; it emphasizes the fact that man is not alone. Dually, the phrase also is
indicative of the nature of the Book of Genesis, and as the first book of the Bible it sets the frame
for the entire text. In the beginning... illustrates the importance of the themes introduced in Chapter
One they form the structural basis of Genesis and are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The sea is populated first, then the air, and finally the land. Once God has created the beasts, human
beings are formed (Gen.1:1 27).1 The hierarchy of creation extends from large to small and from
general to specific.
Not only is the order of the Creation itself important, but the manner in which God proceeds
gives the reader clues as to the relationship between the Creation and the Creator in Genesis. And
God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light and that it was good:
and God divided the light from the darkness (1:4 5). God not only creates by calling, or naming,
but He also uses separation as a means of creation. God is an organizer as well as creator. The
phrase, it was good, is an integral part of this creation account. It appears six times in the first
chapter and its repetition adds to the poetry and symmetry of the writing. It was good appears
not after God has created something, but after He has seen how that creation is organized with
respect to the rest of nature. It was good denotes the congruence between the new creation (or
separation) and the rest of nature. God is following a set of rules, or rather creating a set as He
goes. God is creating nature with some order; it is not randomly formed. Like the rest of the Book
of Genesis, this mythological account of the Creation has a significance and is not merely
ornamental.
While Genesis One as a whole is striking as a piece of poetic

A Reflection Of Speech
Now that day two speakers have finished their speeches, I have considered the feedback given
about my speech and compared it to other speakers in the class. I reviewed in my head what I
did wrong and went back in my mind to remember those speakers who I believed did better than
me in the categories I scored low in. We learn from each other s strengths as well as our mistakes.
Accordingly, chapter ten focuses on the beginning and ending a speech. An effective introduction
gets the speakeroff on the right foot. The right foot means that the speaker has accomplished the
goal of a great hook to attract the audiences attention. A speaker s introduction is a way to make
the audience feel intrigued and want to continue listening so that he or she will feel as though
what is about to be said is to benefit them. An effective conclusion ends the speech on a strong
note. The strong note is the speaker going back to review what was previously said so that the
audience can remember that information and use it somehow in a way that the speaker intended it
to be used. During my speech, I felt that greeting my peers and informing them on what I will be
speaking about, which was introducing my partner, would be a great start for my audience to be
awake and to feel included on what they will be putting their attention on. Out of the eight methods
in the first objective, I used the last one which was gaining their attention by referring to the
occasion. I introduced the fact that my

Parkinson s Disease And The Disease
Parkinson s disease is a chronic disorder of the nervous system with a gradual onset that
primarily affects the body s motor system. The symptoms of the disease are mainly caused by the
death of dopamine producing cells in the midbrain. Dopamine is an important neurotransmitter
that, among other things, is responsible for playing a role in how the brain controls bodily
movements. Therefore, the cardinal symptoms of the disease are movement related, including
tremor and rigid, jerky movements. Parkinson s is a progressive disease, meaning it gets worse
over time, until it eventually leads to complete disability. Parkinson s is a fairly common disease,
and several well known people, such as actor Michael J. Fox and boxer Muhammad Ali have...

Parkinson s disease produces both motor symptoms and nonmotor symptoms. There are four
cardinal motor symptoms of Parkinson s: tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia (slow movements), and
postural instability. Tremor is the most obvious symptom of Parkinson s, as well as the most
common. The tremor is uncontrollable and is most noticeable when the limb is at rest; when
the limb is in use, the tremor disappears. Often times, the tremor only affects the hand or foot on
one side of the body, but it can eventually become bilateral. Rigidity is characterized as stiffness
and resistance to movement in the limbs. The arms, legs, face, and back are areas commonly
affected. Early on, rigidity can cause joint pain, often in the shoulder. Bradykinesia is one of the
most common symptoms of Parkinson s. It is described as slowness and difficulty in initiating
and making movements, especially repetitive movements and fine motor skills, such as writing.
Bradykinesia greatly affects the ability of the Parkinson s sufferer to perform common activities
of daily life, like getting dressed. According to Nolden (2015), postural instability is the imbalance
and loss of righting reflexes. This is usually a symptom that shows up in the late stages of
Parkinson s. Postural instability is linked with high rates of hip fractures in people with Parkinson s
disease, due to increased falls. Aside from the four cardinal motor symptoms, there are secondary
motor symptoms that go

Into The Wild By John Krakauer
Into the Wild Analysis John Krakauer s depiction of the tragic life of Chris McCandless in the
award winning novel Into the Wild creates different schools of thought that brew a perfect storm
for debate. Krakauer s polarizing style is what makes it so special, because no two people will feel
the same way as they experience the journey of McCandless. One of the highly discussed topics
of the novel relates to the idea that Chris journey of self discovery in his quest for ultimate
freedom is inherently selfish or nobel. McCandless quest is noble in many ways. The first of which
is his desire to leave behind the modern materialistic world and isolate himself to find peace. He
also has this deep seated desire to fill a void, a missing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One hundred and twenty three dollars in legal tender was promptly reduced to ash and smoke
(pg.29). The act of burning all of his cash in this manner speaks to McCandless mindset. He truly
believes he doesn t need money to make him happy and that he can survive without relying on
riches to get him by. Relieving himself of money takes place on a consistent bases in the novel
because Chris doesn t want the attachment to hold him back, or make his journey to easy.
Another example of the simplistic life Chris Alex Supertramp McCandless is attempting to live
can be obtained from the first interaction in the book. When Jim Gallien picks up Alex on the
side of the road and drives him to the start of the Alaskan Wilderness, it says Alex admitted that
the only food in his pack was a ten pound bag of rice. His gear seemed exceedingly minimal for
the harsh conditions of the interior, which in April still lay buried under the winter snowpack...Alex
insisted on giving Gallien his watch, his comb, and what he said was all his money... (pg.5 7). Even
with almost nothing on him, Alex/Chris still attempts to rid himself of materialistic items like his
watch, and again, his money. He wants nothing to hold him back so he can achieve the true reward
of his journey, spiritual enlightenment. A big influence on Chris in the book is his fascination with
literary artists and philosophers. The main four that inspire

principles that ought to be followed/implemented in order to engage more low income urban youth.
The ten principles are:
Principle 1: Instructors are professional, practicing artists, and are valued with compensation for

Principle 2: Executive directors have a public commitment to high quality arts programs that is
supported by sustained action
Principle 3: Arts programs take place in dedicated, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Closing Remarks
In the closing of the article, researchers were able to conclude that the reason we are seeing an
underutilization of OST arts programs amongst low income urban youth is because of poor past
experiences that have soiled their desire to participate. Ultimately, what the youth that participated
in the team s focus groups said they wanted aligned with the KOL and case study informed
principles.
Basically, the lesser engaged youth desired the principles utilized in higher quality arts programs by
the highly engaged youth. Researchers go on to suggest that this is the aspect that could lead the
lesser engaged youth to the next level. To fix the damage that has been done, the team suggests that
improving the quality of art programs overall will start to affect an increasing number of youth.
According to this line of thinking, word of mouth will eventually spread, which would greatly
increase.
How It Applies

are elements that parallel a couple issues with resident turn out and an overall lack of full

How Do Driverless Cars Persuasive Essay
Mercedes Benz, Audi, and Nissan plan to have cars that can drive themselves by 2020 .
Driverless cars has been apart of the human imagination for quite awhile now, proof being in
popular science fiction. It wasn t until the early 2000 s that modern technology was ready take
this very imaginative idea and turn it into a reality. Many companies have been working on
driverless cars and are seeing quite the success. Although driverless cars are a step in the right
direction of developing extremely useful technology, I feel driverless cars should not be given to
the public because it will completely change society in many ways. Google co founder, Sergey
Brin, has a vision for a future with a public transporttaxi system that uses drivingcars. In this future
no one will need to buy cars because there will be taxis to take people everywhere. In this future
people will not have the need to learn to drive because technology will be so advance that cars have
the ability to drive themselves. While this will have an effect on society as a whole, it will have
the biggest impact on adolescence. The priority of adolescence as they get older will not be as
focused on the hard working nature of wanting to learn how to drive and making money to buy a
car. In a world where driverless cars are available to the public... Show more content on

technology we are creating ruin our lives. With these cars taking over the need to learn to drive,
people will began to demand other technology to be developed that will take over the need for us
to do mundane tasks. If we get so dependent where we need technology to do everyday tasks for
us, developing better technology will become the center of our universe. Although driverless cars

The Articles Of Confederation And The Constitution
Constitution and Articles Analysis The Articles of Confederation and The Constitution were both
written I believe to ensue peace in a new nation where great freedoms had just been betrothed
upon. Both written within ten years of each other, the main point it was trying to get across was
the idea of one nation. They were written by the same people who all in all had similar ideas.
There are many differences as well. From the main one being sovereign states, to how many states
must approve an amendment. One reason for the difference is some had other interpretations of
certain wordings.Unfortunately, this is what brought us the Civil War. The southern states felt that
their constitutional rights had been violated when they were told they could not take slaves with
them to the west. They were then told that they could not secede from the rest of the union. And
the rest is well, history. There are many similar things about both of these documents. They both
want to secure the nation as a whole. After being able to escape the British rule, they wanted to
come together as one nation. Both gave power to the government to help regulate the laws of the
land. The writers knew that they would be stronger and harder to over run if the laws were written
out on paper. It gave each state their own rights to run it how they like, but still made sure the
government had the final so if it was written down. With that said, there are many difference in a lot
of the articles in both. The

Shiloh And Trifles
In the midst of a tragedy, a person s morals and ethics can be put to the test. Under certain stressors,
a person can make decisions that drastically change the outcome of their situation. This is shown
comparatively in the readings Trifles by Susan Glaspell and Shiloh by Bobbie Ann Manson. Both
readings contain societies with stereotypical genderroles that impact the ethics of the women and
men in the stories while also making the characters questions their own morals.
In Trifles, the women uncover the dirty truth hidden away in the Wright s house. As they do this
the women become sensitive to Mrs. Wright who is the murderer in the story. Both Mrs. Hale and
Mrs. Peters humanize Mrs. Wright instead of just looking at her like a criminal. ... Show more

the authorities and their husbands. This causes their husbands to dismiss their wives opinions as

morals because they feel bad for Mrs. Wright rather than the dead man.
In the case of Leroy and Norma Jean from Shiloh, their morals are tested when they examine their

Benevolent Sexism In Business
Better Together: Why Benevolent Sexism Is Harmful to Women in Business
In the fight for equality, it is obvious to defend against forms of sexism that are used for
antagonization. However, chivalrous attitudes that cast women as weak and in need of men are
often ignored. Social psychologists have studied the effects of benevolent sexism using experiments
testing one s performance shortly after being labeled as incompetent. Benevolent sexism is not a
series of compliments, but rather a threat to one s ability to think, learn, and perceive information.
The workplace is an environment of which benevolent sexism occurs most often and one of which
most are familiar with. Benevolent sexism in business does not allow men and women to achieve
the same goals within the work place. Forcing an individual into a social role can limit them to
only specific simple tasks that do not allow for maximum personal growth.
Often times, benevolent sexism is mistaken for a well intentioned compliment. However, there are
real world dangers that come with assigning a stereotype to an individual. Within business, one of
the most common forms of benevolent sexism is assuming that because a woman has the ability to
bear children she should engage in any nurturing roles. Melanie Tannenbaum elucidates the issue
with labeling women as more caring, maternal, and compassionate in the 2013 article, The Problem
When Sexism Just Sounds So Darn Friendly . Tannenbaum states:
What happens when there is a

Love Affair Between Calixta And Alcee
The theme of infidelity in literature can be approached in many ways ... The Storm by Kate
Chopin takes a more amorous route than most, delving into a love affair between Calixta and
Alcee. Sweat by Zora Neale Hurston takes a more vengeful path, and focuses on Delia, whose
husband, Sykes, is cheating on her. Despite their vastly different approaches, both short stories
portray facets of infidelity. Though a heftier portion of the audience may relate to or sympathize
with Delia in Sweat, The Storm also leaves the audience with some mixed feelings about their own
former lovers, or the blandness of their current relationship.
In both The Storm and in Sweat, there is an overarching theme of infidelity. Though it is not the
only theme in either of the stories, it is one of the more prominent ones. In The Storm, Calixta
cheats on her husband with her former beau, and it is not looked upon as bad or wrong. There is
no evidence showing that there will be any sort of punishment. In Sweat, however, the author takes
a very different approach. Sykes is a terrible, abusive husband who cheats on his wife
remorselessly, thus making the audience view infidelity in a harsher light. This leaves him with a
more gruesome fate, where he dies by the end of the story. Although both stories have a theme of
infidelity, The Storm, it is more focused on the act itself rather than the consequences. The entire
story is split into five parts, the longest being the explicit

Characters And Nihilism In The Novel s Fathers And Sons
In the novel, Fathers and Sons , the character Bazarov is known to be a self confident, and
intelligent doctor who s known to leave a few great impressions behind when interacting with his
fellow characters large and small, like Fenichka and the lower classman people. However, as nice
as he may seem, I do not believe that the story intends Bazarov to be the protagonist, but rather the
antagonist. His beliefof nihilism, the rejection of all religious and moral principles, is one of the
reasons why he is shown as an antagonist. Following that, is how he rudely carries out his own
opinions to others, but then later on, turns out to be a hypocritic of his own teachings ; making
him very displeasing to the audience to read. So although some may argue that Bazarov is a hero,
because of lighter traits, I would have to disagree because of his belief of nihilism, how he carries
it out to people and later turning himself into a hypocritic, making the novel play against Bazarov
rather than for him.
In the beginning of the story, Bazarov was known as a great friend to Arkady, and for a short
lived time, he was not wrong. Bazarov was written with attractive figures for an antagonist,
physically and non physical. Typically, an antagonist is seen as evil and ugly from the inside to

Time Is An Illusion Essay
Time. Is it an illusion? Or is it real? These two questions have been debated many times by
philosophers all around the world but they have yet to give a certain answer. Everyday, we use the
concept of time to measure how long an event is, to tell someone when to do what and to place
your events of the day in order. We are constantly using the perception of timein our sentences, but
is time actually real? I personally think that time is an illusion. I believe this because time is
simply something that gives order to our events, we do not progress in time and that time is simply
an illusion created by us.
Time is something that reminds us when there is an event that we must attend to. If you look at a
clock, all you see is a bunch of numbers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Saint Augustine stated that there are three times; a present time about things past, a present time
about things present, a present time about things future. The future exists only as expectations, the
past exists only as memory, but expectation and memory exist in the present. This means that you
cannot relive the past because you are always in the present time. Even if you are remembering a
memory from the past or waiting for something in the future, you are still in the present. Marina
Abramovic quotes: Time is an illusion. Time only exists when we think about the past and the
future. Time doesn t exist in the present here and now. This means that we only think that there is
time since there is a past and future. As time flows, the present is always updating itself every
millisecond. As you read this sentence, you might think that you are in the present but the moment
is no longer happening. After you read the sentence, that time you read it becomes the past. If you
backtrack to the memory of you reading the sentence, you are still in the present even though you
are thinking of the past. If you look at the clock, in one minute the you that you are now will be in
the past. The future you will become the present you and then almost instantly become the past you.
Therefore we are always in the present and it is the mind that can be in the present or the

Samuel Beckett s Waiting For Godot
Samuel Beckett was born in Ireland on April 13, 1906. Waiting for Godot was composed between
1948 and 1949 in French. The premiere was on January 5 1953 in Paris. After World War II, he
wrote Waiting for Godot. In Samuel Beckett s play, Waiting for Godot, it is essential that the play is
characterized by time and hopelessness. That the purpose of life is unanswerable; there is no
apparent meaning to it. When first analyzing the play, there is an uncertainty if anything happens
within the play or the title character s significance because of the constant repetition without
achieving answers throughout the story. Waiting for Godotcaptures the feeling that a situation is
hopelessly unfathomable. The play characterizes hopelessness with forms that symbolize humanity
and its behavior with all the characters. It emphasizes that because a human s life is dependant on
chance and that time is meaningless, reassuring that a human s life is meaningless. The reality of
this makes humans ambiguous, looking for outside forces, which may or may not be imaginary, for
direction. Just as Vladimir and Estragoncling onto Godot, without knowing whether or not he or it
is real. On of the play s assumptions is that chance is the main factor behind a human s existence.
Again, leading that human life is determined by and only chance. Beckett beckons on the path of
religious symbolism. Hints of Christianity are influenced in this play throughout. In fact, opening
moments of the play, Vladimir

of reality. The machines have enslaved humans by hooking them up to the matrix so that they can
harvest them as an energy source. A number of people have been able to escape the matrixand they
continue to fight the war against the machines in hopes of being able to free everyone still trapped
within the matrix. Throughout the film the main characters Neo, Morpheus, and Trinity enter back
into the matrix several times for various reasons. Because the film bounces back and forth between
reality and the matrix, the film induces a strong theme of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The matrix sets were designed to have a worn and torn look that was imposing and grid like. The
scenes depicting the characters in the real world mostly took place on the ship, Nebuchadnezzar.
These sets were designed to have a patched up look where the wires and components of the ship
were clearly visible, communicating the idea to the audience that the ship is a marriage between
man and machine. In addition to how the sets looked, how the scenes were shot within those sets
added to theme as well. When the characters were within the matrix, the scenes were shot using a
green tint, mimicking the feel of early monochrome computer monitors. When the characters were
in the real world, they used a blue tint and longer shot lenses which soften the background while
putting more emphasis on the characters.
As I also mentioned earlier, the actual appearance of the characters in the film is another
component in the theme of appearance verses reality. When the main characters are in the real
world, they are shown with having a connection port on the back of their necks. This connection
port is the means by which the characters can reconnect to the matrix. The characters were also
depicted in the real world as wearing clothes with a more textile feel, and hair that is less stylized.
When compared to how these characters are depicted when they are inside the

Russell Simmons
Russell Simmons has been successful because he turned an idea into an opportunity. Mariotti and
Glackin (2013) states while Russell attend college he saw an opportunity in the underground
music genre Hip hop (p.154). From that moment on Russell knew he could capitalize off hip hop.
Not only did Russell take a chance on an opportunity, he formed a great record label with his friend
Rick Rubincalled Def Jam Records. However his success did not stop there Russell went on to
create a clothing line, Rush Communications and many other ventures. With his knowledge of

Russell not only made hip hop mainstream he gave youths around the world artist they could
relate to such as Run DMC. Run DMC was a good group to market because they stayed true to
their roots and their fashion was part of the hip hop culture.
Russell marketing advantages did not stop there. He realized that the clothing that the youth were
wearing was making a statement of who they were. It was then Russell created and promoted the
clothing line Phat Farm. Phat Farm is urban apparel that the urban youth embraced because it
represented their lifestyles. By Russell good marketing strategies more consumers were embracing
and purchasing the products that they were becoming familiar with. Further more Russell Simmons
urban roots also gave him an advantage with the youth on political issues. Mariotti and Glackin
(2013) inform readers that in 2002 Russell organized a youth summit at New York City Hall to
protest the then mayor proposal to cut the education budget (p.155). Russell new if he marketed the
event through social media, radio and TV networks he could get the youth attention. Being that
Russell had the information and associated artists such as Jay Z and Alicia Keys to address the
issues, 20,000 youth showed up to support the cause.
Around 1985 Russell Simmons invested $5000 to start Def Jam Records. However in 1999 he
made the decision to sell his business to Polygram records for $100 million giving him a return on

Should Vending Machines Be Allowed
I believe that it is time to consider putting healthier options into Mountain View vending
machines. My child has expressed wanting to have better options to choose from, rather than
having to opt for chips or pop tarts. I do not want to see the removal of everything that is bad or
that has too much sugar because I do believe that is taking away the students rights to make that
choice. In a study by Maia Paterson parents had this to say Parents saw high schoolas a time during

The Watsons Book Report
The book I chose to read was called ВЁThe Watsons Go to Birmingham 1963ВЁ by Christopher
Paul Curtis. Admittedly, I did quite enjoy some events that occurred throughout the story. No doubt
that there were lots of quirky, hilarious moments that actually got me to chuckle quite a bit.
Furthermore, there were also lots of historically accurate events that occurred throughout the book.
On the contrary, though, there were also a couple of dull and fictional events throughout the story.
Anyhow, I would have to say that this is quite and interesting book, and I would recommend it to
others.
The story begins in Flint, Michigan, 1993 and revolves around a colored skinned family name the
Watsons. The whole story takes perspective of a little boy... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Eventually, after researching the real life story of this book, I found it to be true about the Church
bombing. According to wikipedia.org, there was a bombing at the Baptist Church, Birmingham,
Alabama, 1963. There were indeed four girls who were killed, and another girl was badly injured
and went blind afterwards. As described in the book, the Church bombing happened in
Birmingham, Alabama, 1963 and well as the four girls who were killed. Hereafter, I also
discovered that the racial events in the book to be true. According to socialwelfarehistory.com,
the 1950 s and 60 s were a time of segregation. Specifically, it was a time where slavery was
ending, but the whites were not satisfied, so they decided to pass laws that mandated Separate but
equal ; likewise, the laws meant that black people had to attend separate schools and churches, use
public bathrooms marked for Colored Only , ate in a separate section of a restaurant, and had to sit
in the rear of a bus. As described in the book, the father mentions a Coloreds Only bathroom, but it
would ve been nicer if the author mentioned about the segregation to better explain the timeline.
Though the author did a very well job on using history throughout the book, there was still some
parts that are quite indeed fiction. For example, the main characters, Kenny and his family (the
Watsons), are pure fiction. To summarize, I believe that the author

Object Relations Theory Is A Psychodynamic Theory
Object Relations Theory Object relations theory is a psychodynamic theory that observes our
capability to form long lasting attachments, and is based on our early experiences of disconnection
from and connections with out primary caregivers. We internalize our initial relationship examples,
which means that our first relationships make lasting impressions on us, determining how we
approach future relationships. Also, object relations theorystudies how people form various
attitudes towards others and how those attitudes affect their view of themselves as well as social
relationships. There is a central notion of object relation s theory, which is that all people naturally
search for relationships with others, what this theory looks at is how well an individual can form
the interpersonal relationship and what, if any, deficiencies in social functioning may have
occurred. For social workers, this theory is helpful in seeing an individual in the framework of the
relationship rather than an individual being. According to object relations theory, the ultimate
situation is to be raised by caregivers who in turn help us to progressively and appropriately move
away from their physical and emotional direct care while they continue to convey their availability
for support (Hutchison, 2013). These early associations are a major determinant of our personalities
and the quality of our interpersonal performance (Hutchison, 2013; Dorfman, Meyer, Morgan,
1998). Essentially, an

Is Walden Still Relevant
Is Walden still relevant?
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life,
and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had
not lived. This quote by Thoreau shows the way he wanted to live, deliberately, people need a
purpose it s how we work, therefore Waldenis relevant. Even though Walden is redundant and
Thoreau is believed to be hypocritical, and he didn t isolate himself as it seems in the memoir.
Walden is more relevant than ever, because the core idea is that by living frugally and naturally,
you can have more time to spend as you like with purpose. Simplicity allows us to have a richer life.
Thoreau existed simply ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Without a purpose, live would be empty. One can t live deliberately, the way Thoreau wanted to
live. To live deliberately in the way Thoreau wrote about was to spend time simply observing
with a purpose, even if to extend one s knowledge. Life s purpose depends on the person,
Thoreau states that he doesn t expect everyone to fall into his step. Many say Walden is
redundant and Thoreau is believed to be hypocritical, and he didn t isolate himself as it seems in
the memoir. Yes, Thoreau may have been condescending, scolding, and judgmental, but these
traits don t reflect on the quality of Thoreau s writing. Reading Walden isn t for everyone, nor is
Thoreau s lifestyle. Thoreau writes as though he lived in the middle of nowhere while he truly
lived a half an hour walk from the town. Conversely this idea of isolation Thoreau portrays for
himself doesn t dispute the ideas and philosophy in Walden .
In conclusion, Walden is more relevant than ever. Thoreau lived simple unmaterialistic existence as
he stayed at Walden Pond, for he believed the material wealth lead to spiritual downfalls. The ideas
of purposeful living and the living amongst nature is still prevalent to this day. Thoreau wrote of
nature, and how he coexisted with it, learned from it. Observing nature gave Thoreau a purpose
while he was at Walden Pond. Through living simply and unmaterialistic one can live life to the

Negative Consequences Of The Federal Communication Commission
The Federal Communication Commission or FCC was created by the Communications Act of
1934. The Federal Communication Commission is responsible for regulating interstate and
international communication through modes of communication like radio, television, and
satellite. Although the Federal Communication Commission does have some negative
consequences the positive implications that resulted because of the creation of the FCC
outweigh them. The Federal Communication Commission often is under scrutiny for allegedly
infringing on people s rights to freedom of speech because of their penalties they have for
certain things that are said on TV or on the radio. For instance, in 2012, the FCC was taken to
the Supreme Court by Fox Television Stations, Inc. because of a fine that was given to Fox for
allowing explicits on a live broadcast of the 2002 Billboard Music Awards. The Supreme Court
ruled in favor of Fox because they believed that these fines were unconstitutional. While these
does seem like a very clear violation of the first amendment of the Bill of Rights. There needs to
be institutions in place that have the power to regulate things like the what is on TV or the radio
because while every should have the freedom to say what they are thinking, there needs to be a
line and some to judge whether something has crossed that line. This is a very unpopular decision
but in a hypothetical situation where something is said that can hurt someone or a group of people
we would want

A Study On Water Creek Reservoir
Prairie Creek Reservoir, located in an agricultural water in east central Indiana, serves as a
secondary drinking water supply for Muncie, IN and offers various recreational activities.
Monitoring of the streams and knowledge of its water quality is very limited. This study assessed
water quality at five major tributaries and outfall to support future management decisions.
Keywords. Eutrophication, nutrients, monitoring, streams, reservoir INTRODUCTION In 2014,
43% of all U.S. lakes and reservoirs were classified as impaired due to not fulfilling one or more
designated uses; nutrients and agriculture were the primary factor and source causing impairments
(U.S. EPA 2014). Commercial fertilizers designed to increase crop productivity can promote
biological productivity in waters draining agricultural lands; fertilizers contribute nearly 57,000 tons
of total nitrogen into the White River per year (Martin, 1996; PopoviДЌovГЎ 2008). The
continuous supply of nutrients to a water body can produce algal blooms, intense growth of
macrophytes that can lead to dissolved oxygen depletion, and stress on aquatic environments
(Dodds and Welch 2000; U.S. EPA 2002, 2012; SГёndergaard et al. 2003; USGS 2013, 2014).
Eutrophication can adversely influence recreation, drinking water supply, industrial uses, and
fisheries due to objectionable appeal, fish kills, influx of sedimentation, taste and odor of drinking
water, and increased prices in drinking water treatment (Walker 1983; Carpenter,

Rikets
Rickets Human Biology
September 17, 2011
Most people know that good nutrition is important for good health. But not many people realize
the importance a healthy diet can have on their health and their children s health for years to
come. A good diet helps children grow, develop, and do well in school. It also helps young and
older adults to work productively and feel their best. Without a proper diet or a serious lack of
nutrition a person is making his or her self susceptible to all sorts of diseases. All people, young
and old, need to have a healthy and nutritional diet if they want to avoid the many diseases caused
by poor nutrition.
One disease young children are at risk for is rickets. Rickets is caused by a vitamin D, ... Show more

The AAP states that the increase in vitamin D will also help children prevent Osteoporosis as
adults (Wagner amp; Greer, 2008).
Rickets is the most common form of metabolic bone disease worldwide. Measures such as adequate
sunlight exposure and dietary supplementation are simple but effective in reducing rickets. It is
important to target culturally vulnerable groups and pregnant women. Preterm babies form a
specific population that is particularly vulnerable to the metabolic consequences of calcium and
phosphate deficiency, requiring early intervention.
Parents and caregivers need to be sure that their children are consuming enough calcium. Whether
it is from fortified formulas, cow s milk, green leafy vegetables, fortified orange juice or calcium
fortified cereals these fast growing children need to meet the calcium needs of their bodies. Since
all of these calcium rich foods are readily available nutritional rickets is rarely seen in the United
States and Europe. Unfortunately, in unindustrialized countries, vitamin D deficiency rickets
continues to be a problem . (Definition of Rickets, 2011).
In conclusion, rickets is a nutrition related disease that can severely impact a child s life. Rickets,
the softening and weakening of bones, occurs because of vitamin D, calcium, and phosphorus
deficiencies. Young rapidly growing children are at the highest risk for rickets, but it can easily be
prevented through diet and

The Church Of England Was Only A Half R

Mrs Harris
The Church of England was only a half reformed church in the period 1559 1603 . To what extent
is this statement valid? (45marks)
This statement is valid to a considerable extent. This is due to the fact that before Elizabeth came
to the throne her siblings had been before her, Edward VI (1547 53) and Mary I (1553 59), these
two had a contrasting religious beliefs and both implemented harsh penalties for those who did not
conform to their religious reform. This is one aspect of the Mid Tudor crisis which then creates a
problem for Elizabeth in enforcing religion successfully as Parliament now consisted of both
Catholics and Protestants. It is for this reason that some may consider the Church of England to be

treasonable to be a Catholic priest. This shows the contradictions to the religious system due to the
Elizabethan Religious Settlement s failure to establish a state religion. This control of Protestant
gentry in Parliament, referred to by J. Neale as a Puritan Choir , suggested that there was grid lock
within Parliament due to remnants of Edward VI s Protestant Parliament in addition to Queen
Mary I s Catholic addition, meaning decisions would be hard to make and religious reform would
take time. As a result, we see there is a lot of proposed reform during the middle years of
Elizabeth s reign, however very few of the proposed legislation is passed, for example in 1571 2
there were bills introduced proposing further reform but none were passed. This shows that though
the radical Protestants had attempted to push for reforms, Elizabeth I had blocked some, suggesting
she did not want to reform the Church of England using the radical Protestant ideals.
Though Elizabeth s aim was to return England to the Protestant faith, she declared that she did not
want to make windows into men s souls , meaning she didn t care what people thought or believed,
as long as they were outwardly Church of England rather than Catholic. Suggesting
Elizabeth I may not have wanted to set a harsh doctrine in which people had to follow, as Mary I

I have chosen to compare two adverts on cars. They are for a Mercedes Benz and a Chrysler
Voyager. I will be looking at all aspects of my chosen adverts and comparing them to each other.
The advert for the Mercedes Benz is very personal, and is constantly putting the reader in the driver

picture is very passive and immediately places the reader at the centre of the advert, and the whole
layout is calming. In comparison, in the Chrysler Voyageradvert the attention of the ... Show more

It then reinforces that message by saying I sat back in my seat and watched the world outside . It
gives the feeling that the reader is in the car. It also reinforces the feeling of a cinema screen by
saying watched the world outside unfold upon the screen as if it were a silent movie . This
makes the reader feel important, and detached from the outside of the car. This is the feeling
that the writers want to convey, as it presents a positive picture of what being in the car would
feel like. This image that has been presented, of the reader in the driver s seat, is backed up by
the picture of the view, through the windscreen, from the driver s point of view. The language
used in the top section is very flowing, as the ride in the car would be, and it has been made
smoother by use of alliteration such as watched the world , and unfold upon .
The bottom section of text starts by saying Picture the scene . This immediately makes the reader
think of a scene in a movie, and then it backs that up by saying set against the evenings pale and
chaotic backdrop . It also makes the reader the most important person in this scene by saying that
everything is pale and boring, and chaotic in comparison to the Mercedes and its owner. The text
then goes on to make the car seem more that just a machine by using a

More than 1 in 3 young people have experienced cyber threats online. Well over half of young

things that help reduce the cyber bullying: Encourage teens to tell an adult if cyber bullying is
occurring. Tell them if they are the victims they will not be punished, and reassure them that
being bullied is not their fault, Teens should never tell their password to anyone except a parent,
and should not write it down in a place where it could be found by others. The little things you as

Archduke Franz Ferdinand s Role In World War 1
The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand was a major provoking factor for World War 1.
The heir to the Austro Hungarian Empire, Archduke Franz Ferdinand was under fire for the
decision to annex the Balkans. This decision infuriated Serbian nationals there who believed they
should be allowed to join Serbia who was newly independent; the decision also strengthened Serbian
nationalist groups. Franz Ferdinand was in Sarajevoto inspect his troops there on the day he was

More specifically, the role of women in society changed. While men were away at war, women
often took over business operations. In fact, by 1918, nearly three million women were
employed in the textile, food, and war industries. Many restrictions on women s participation in
these industries were torn down during World War 1. Women slowly started gaining more social
responsibilities. They started working as streetcar conductors and radio operators; they also
worked in logging camps and steel mills. During the war, they not only had to support their
households, but also the war effort. After the war, their labor was far from over. It was now
more socially acceptable to continue working. In addition, many men died in the war and
women had to work single handedly to support their family. The public view of war changed after
World War 1. Before the war, the public had seen war as it was in the 1800s with large armies
attacking each other in open fields in battles that rarely lasted for more than a day. However, new
technology and tactics made warfare much more gruesome. One tactic became known as trench
warfare. When the British released a realistic film about the Battle of the Somme, a battle fought
by Britain and France against Germany, the public was shocked. Soldiers no longer participated
in distinct battles; they could be attacked at any time of day. This constant state of fear had
obvious psychological effects. The public became disillusioned about war due to the large body
counts as well. Pacifism became more popular as a result. The growth of independence movements
was another important effect of the war. In territories controlled by Russia and England in
particular, independence movements became common. The colonies had been largely neglected
over the four years the countries were at war, and they finally saw their opportunity to rise up.
During the war, the colonies had quietly become less reliant on

Patriot Act to a certain extent. I personally believe that the Patriot Act is a great concept that

To my understanding the U.S Constitution is a number of principles that are supposed to be

often portrayed as confused and violent, very aware of the evil inside of him: The real problem
that arises among the boys involves their own inner nature... (Johnston 2). When his plan fails,
Jack feels as though his seat of power is threatened and therefore resorts to terrorizing,
threatening and essentially forcing the boys to join him and align themselves against Ralph,
alienating them from their former, comfortable life style and thus making what they once failed
to appreciate all the more desirable. Once these boys join Jack s tribe, they are forced to follow
his orders, committing heinous atrocities against their former friends in a desperate attempt to
avoid the physical punishment Jack inflicts on those who disobey him. Jack rules his subjects
through fear and intimidation, and yet lures them in by playing on hidden desires unbeknownst to
them. Jack is often shown acting cruel and menacing towards the other boys, however is he also
shown as being self conscious and a bit insecure: Boys are desperate to distract from their own
helplessness and do so by projecting their fear of subjection onto an even weaker

Modern Art And African Art
There is a clear connection between modern art and African art. African symbols, shapes, and
ideologies influence paintings, textiles, and sculptures. However, not many discuss comics within
the traditional definition of art. The medium of comics boomed after the Great Depression with
Superman. A time of hardship, the Depression left people needing something to believe in. Since
the beginning of time people have used storytelling and mythology to explain the world around
them. After the Depression with the birth of Superman, superheros were no different. Superheros
are modern mythologies, a phrase coined by Richard Reynolds. In his book, Super Heroes: A
Modern Mythologies, he refers to Roland Barters essay Myth Today, which points out that
mythology represents culture as nature to explain the political and social anatomy of societies.
Superheroes contribute to this concept by using science and magic to create a sense of mythical
wonder. Reynolds uses the example of Thor, who is a god trapped on earth in the body of a
scientist with a walking stick as punishment from his father Odin. Throughout the comic book
universe there are heroes that not only draw from Norse mythology, but Native American, Hindu,
and Greco Roman mythology as well. One has to wonder if there is a connection between
superheroes and African mythology. The Yoruban orishas of Nigeria, which parallel the
mythologies listed previously contains different deities each representing an aspect of nature can be

The Olympic Hockey Game Between The Soviet Union And The...
The 1980 Olympic hockey game between the Soviet Union and the United States known as the
miracle on ice is the most incredible moments in recent American history due to the significance.
The United States was truly an underdog kind of like David and goliath, because no one expected
the United States to win against the soviets. The time in history is also important as the game took
place during the height of the cold warand these two nations that could break into nuclear war at
anytime had to face each other in a hockey game. This rivalry between the two countries transferred
on to the game and the result was amazing, at least for the United States.
In modern day America sports are a very important part of our culture, because we are constantly
watching sports and participating in sports. In any sport we watch mythology is present. The
very act itself of playing the sport is reflective of old roman times when gladiators would kill for
the crowds entertainment although today instead of killing its by hitting a home run or scoring a
goal. At their best, sports are about the extraordinary capacities of the human spirit. (Wolter).
These athletes can become extremely popular to the point were they are viewed as superhuman
just like in myths, and there is a reason because the best athletes in their respective sport do what
no average person could do. The most legendary performances speak of almost super human feats:
the sub 4 minute mile, Michael Jordan s flu stricken playoff

Man s Search For Meaning
Viktor Frankl: A Man of Meaning Ever reach a point in life where it suddenly ceases to have
meaning? Or perhaps life has grown dull, slowly losing its excitement. This is what Viktor
Frankl addressed throughout his lifetime through his work and experiences as a prisoner during
the Holocaust, a psychiatrist, neurologist, and a man with a strong tie to sorrow. Viktor Frankl
helped people find meaning in life by teaching that love can save all, suffering can lead to
strength and through his theory of logotherapy. Viktor Frankl was an experiences neurologist who
helped others through his experiences and philosophies. As a psychiatrist in Vienna, Austria, he
helped suicidal patients before and after World War II find meaning in their lives. A Jew, Viktor
Frankl was captured and put into three different concentration camps, Auschwitz, Theresienstadt,
and Dachau, where he suffered greatly ( The Man ). During his time in camps, he developed his
theory of logotherapy, a theory for finding meaning in life. Once liberated, he discovered that his
wife, brother, mother and father had all been put to death in camps. All his experiences led to his
theory of logotherapy and his book, Man s Search for Meaning. Viktor Frankl helped people find

His theory, book, and philosophies all point toward the fact that life is hard, and there is little
people can do about it. However, he learned that when everything is taken away from a person s
existence, the only thing that remains is their ability to choose their reaction and attitude. When life
ceases to have meaning, Viktor Frankl showed everyone that life always has meaning. No matter
what, there is always something in a person s past, work or a thought in the back of the mind that
leads to meaning. Frankl taught that meaning exists for everyone, regardless of

Playing In The Arms Of An Angel Commercial Analysis
Every single day thousands of helpless animals are abused or killed, but is every one aware this
goes on or that they can help stop this from happening? To try and put an end to animal cruelty,
The ASPCA or American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, a non profit
organization, made a television commercial that broke everyone s hearts. During this commercial it
shows many picture and clips of weak and abused animals. Throughout, the commercial a very
somber song is playing In the Arms of an Angel, sung by Sarah McLachlan. Before the commercial
ends with one last video of a sad dog staring at you, McLachlan asks for donations to help improve
the lifes of these animals. This commercial creates a guilty and sad feeling for the audience by
using many techniques to make the audience feel compassion and want to donate to help out the
animals in need of help.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From start to finish in this commercial, there are video clips of poor and defenseless animals;
some are in cages or in the arms of someone saving them. Some have lost an eye, cannot walk, or
are extremely underweight. The only healthy looking animal seen in the commercial is a golden
retriever that is lying next to McLachlan while she explains how the audience can help and be an
angel to the animals by donating money to their cause. When the audience sees the golden
retriever it looks very cheerful and upbeat to demonstrate how happy one of the potential pets
could be once safe and given all of the medical needs it needs. This creates a feeling of hope and

The New Black
The speech I attended was a panel of women who had all previously been to prison. This panel
was particularly interesting because these women were the inspiration for the television series
Orange is the New Black. The Netflix original series is based on Piper Kerman s book of the same
name. The book was based on her experience in the womens prisonDanbury, which is located in
Connecticut. Piper wrote about her personal story and the stories of many of the women she
interacted with. Several of these very women came to Suffolk University to give a talk on their
own personal experience in the prison system and their thoughts on the television series. There
were four women who spoke to us, two of whom were in prison with Piper, one who attended the
same prison at a different time, and one women who was a professor at Suffolk University and had
never been to prison. Each womanspoke about her own personal experience with the prison system
and they all spoke about the issues surrounding the United States legal system. They also all spoke
about the problems with America s glorification of the prison system, especially in recent years.
The entire speech was very clearly targeted to college students, as each woman spent time
addressing us personally as the next generation who can do something about the faulty legal system.
The entirety of the speech extremely informative and motivated, while also being interesting a
sometimes funny. This speech was interesting in the fact that

Cofferdam Advantages And Disadvantages
Cofferdam:
The word cofferdam comes from the word coffer meaning box. In other words, we could say a
cofferdam is a dam shaped like a box.
A cofferdam is a watertight structure designed to make construction projects in normally
submerged regions easier. Such projects include bridges, piers and the repair works in oil
platforms. A dam is placed in the area of the project and water is then removed from that area until
the soil isn t submerged by water. This allows the workers to place structural supports, repair or
any other type of work in dry surroundings.
A cofferdam is a temporary structure most likely consisting of steel structures welded together, with
other parts consisting of sheet pile and sand braces. The cofferdam is usually broken down after the

Dike Cofferdam
A dike is an embankment of a certain type of material. The materials most used in constructing a
dike are soil, rock and sand bags. Dikes are often used for a short period of time, this is to enable a
cofferdam to be constructed later on.
2.Single Wall Cofferdam
A single wall cofferdam is applied in case the working area and area supposed to be enclosed are
limited and small. This type of dam is only suitable for a maximum depth of 25m. On both sides of
the single walled cofferdam a single row of piles is used.
3.Double Wall Cofferdam
If the area that is supposed to be enclosed by the dam is large, it becomes necessary to use a double
wall cofferdam which is made of two lines of sheet piles tied to each other. There is a space
between the tied sheet piles that is filled in with sand providing stability for the cofferdam.
Double wall cofferdams are used when the area to be enclosed by the dam is very large and the

How Did Muhammad Ali Influence The World
Introduction
I chose to do my history project on Muhammad Ali because he influenced and inspired people
worldwide through sport and politics. He was one of the world s most successful heavyweight
champions ever and he acted as one of the major figures in the American civil rights movement. He
is remembered today through his hard work in the ring and his political movement that would
forever change the rights of
black people in America.
Early Life
Muhammad Ali grew up in southern America where he experienced racial prejudice and
discrimination first hand. At the age of 12 Muhammad Ali discovered his talent for boxingand with
the help of a police officer he progressed his skills to a competition level. He became an amateur
boxer, and in
1954 he won his first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

all time.
Racial beliefs
Throughout his career Muhammad Ali stood up for civil rights for black people in politics and
often made public speeches expressing his opinion. He supported and admired other activists such
as Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. One of his famous quotes was My enemy is the white
people, not
Viet Cong or Chinese or Japanese. You my opposer when I want freedom. You my opposer when
I want justice. You my opposer when I want equality. You won #39;t even stand up for me in
America for my religious beliefs and you want me to go somewhere and fight, but you won #39;t
even stand up for me here at home? Muhammad Ali to a crowd of college
students during his exile.
After his retirement
Between 1964 and 1986 Muhammad Ali got married four times and had nine children. When he
retired from boxing he was married to Lonnie Williams and he was with her until he died in 2016.
In 1984 he announced he had Parkinson s disease but he never let it control his life and continued

Congo’s Era of Damnation
In the year 1885, King Leopold II of Belgium imperialized the Independent State of the Congo.
Leopold set the area up under his own personal rule. His rule was an extremely negative and very
unwanted thing that plunged the area into an era of damnation.
The early history of the congo really starts in 150 AD. The indigenous immigrants to the Congo,
who were most likely Pygmies, had migrated from the northern area to the savannah regions in the
south now called DROC, or Democratic Republic of the Congo (Clarke, John H). These immigrants
brought agriculture, and made iron tools. Moving ahead to 1482, the Portuguese navigator, Diogo
CГЈo visited the Congo River marking the first ever known European contact with the region.
Henry Stanley, a British explorer is commanded to proclaim King Leopold s rule over the Congo
in 1879. This is followed by European powers at the Berlin Conference who recognised Leopold s
claim to the Congo basin and he announces the establishment of the Congo Free State headed by
himself (Democratic Republic of...), thus beginning Leopold s era of tyranny. Leopold s purpose
of controlling the Congo was for the vast amount of resources such as ivory, rubber, and copper.
In 1887, J.B. Dunlop s invention of inflatable, rubber, bicycle tires and the rapid increase in the
popularity of the automobile, caused the demand for rubber to increase dramatically. Now sensing
an opportunity, Leopold issued three decrees in 1881 and 1882 collectively saying that

Summary Of The Wind By Barbara Kingsolver
The narrator s name was created by her grandfather. The narrator s grandfather was in Virginia, at
that time people there owned slaves. He fell in love with a Cherokee and stole a horse to marry
her and people did not forgive him for that. Therefore he lost his family name and created a new
one, the one that the narrator has now. That s how the narrator s name was created.
The narrator uses words and imageries to describe her name. Refer to guarded , we can know that
she values her name very much. Refer to knew touched , we know that her name is connected to
her ancestors. Refer to one peppered, flaming autumn he stole a horse, rode over the mountain to
marry a leaf eyed Cherokee we can see that her grandfather had been through ... Show more content

For example, flaming autumn symbolizes passion, she shows us her grandfather s love to her
grandmother. Fruit and seeds symbolizes the care her grandfather gave to the name and the
attention he payed on it. Limbo symbolizes the pain and lost if she lost her name. This tells us how
important the narrator s name is to her. She used imageries in this poem as well. Her photograph
has ink thin braids and buttoned clothes, and nothing that she was called describes what her
grandmother looks like, she says her grandmother has ink thin braids and she wears buttoned
clothes, this gives us something to imagine. One peppered, flaming autumn is another imagery, this
sentence describes the autumn that her grandfather go to find her grandmother. I have touched his
boots and moustache is also an imagery because the sentence gives us a sense of touch. She says
she have touched the boots and moustache means that she has some connections with her ancestors.
Literary devices are used in the poem. For example, I have guarded my name as people in other
times kept their own clipped hair, believing the soul could be scattered if they were careless uses
personification because soul can t actually be scattered. Another personification used in the poem is

A Report On Czech Republic
According to the results of an international study (Ernst Young, 2013), Czech Republic is ranked

  • 2. The Global Research Analyst Settlement 1.INTRODUCTION RESEARCH QUESTION The Global Research Analyst Settlement is an agreement between the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and ten of the leading investment banks, it was announced April 28, 2003. The agreement came to fruition after vast investigations into possible conflicts of interests amongst security analysts working at investment banks. This agreement lead Barber, Lehavy and Trueman to write the paper; Comparing the stock recommendation performance of investment banks and independent research firms. The agreement spurred two important questions amongst the authors: (1) are the recommendations from independent research firms (IR) superior to recommendations from investment banks (IB); (2) was the implicit... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Clarke et al. (2004) researched this issue as well and concluded the long term average abnormal returns for upgrades issued by IR, IB and brokerages are insignificantly different from each other; downgrades as well. Cliff (2004) found buy recommendations from IR significantly outperformed those of IB, and sell recommendations underperformed. Lin et al. (2005) examined time patterns rather than performance. Concluding, IB analysts are significantly slower to revise their buy and hold recommendations. However, the evidence is not as strong for downgrades from strong buy. While these papers helped shed light on an important topic there were holes within their analysis. Clarke et al. (2004) analyze abnormal returns for bull and bear market periods for stocks with IB business near the time of recommendation issuance. Additionally, a 250 day holding period was used for all recommended stock, with no regard for a change in recommendation or if it was dropped altogether. Moreover, Cliff (2004) offers no contrasts of abnormal returns between the bull and bear market stages or for firms with or without recent securities offerings. Also, there is no examination of non leading IB analyst recommendations. Therefore, Barber et al. (2007) contribute to previous literature in a number of ways. Non profit health plans are estimated to serve over 40% or more of all private health insurance enrollees. Nonprofit health care organizations are primary responsible and accountable to the communities and populations they serve. They are legally and ethically bound to do good for the benefit of their communities. Their governing bodies are comprised of leaders from the communities they serve. The earnings and reserves of nonprofit health care organizations are reinvested to benefit the community.(1). III.Definition of Profit Health Care Organization. For profit health care and organizations have a misconception that this automatically means higher costs and a lower level of quality. There are several studies that directly contradict this assumption. In a study that was conducted by Blue Cross, the findings showed that there was not an increase in costs and that there was not a negative effect on the availability of health care. • 5. Essay on The Holy Bible Genesis Chapter One as an Executive Summary In the beginning... Genesis 1:1 Acknowledging a beginning in the first sentence of any text is in itself indicative of the nature of the text as a whole. It is an acknowledgement of a creation. It is an admission that what is has not always existed and that a higher power is at work. Genesis begins with this phrase as a reminder of the existence of God; it emphasizes the fact that man is not alone. Dually, the phrase also is indicative of the nature of the Book of Genesis, and as the first book of the Bible it sets the frame for the entire text. The sea is populated first, then the air, and finally the land. Once God has created the beasts, human beings are formed (Gen.1:1 27).1 The hierarchy of creation extends from large to small and from general to specific. Not only is the order of the Creation itself important, but the manner in which God proceeds gives the reader clues as to the relationship between the Creation and the Creator in Genesis. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light and that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness (1:4 5). God not only creates by calling, or naming, but He also uses separation as a means of creation. God is an organizer as well as creator. The phrase, it was good, is an integral part of this creation account. It appears six times in the first chapter and its repetition adds to the poetry and symmetry of the writing. It was good appears not after God has created something, but after He has seen how that creation is organized with respect to the rest of nature. It was good denotes the congruence between the new creation (or separation) and the rest of nature. God is following a set of rules, or rather creating a set as He goes. God is creating nature with some order; it is not randomly formed. Like the rest of the Book of Genesis, this mythological account of the Creation has a significance and is not merely ornamental. While Genesis One as a whole is striking as a piece of poetic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. A Reflection Of Speech Now that day two speakers have finished their speeches, I have considered the feedback given about my speech and compared it to other speakers in the class. I reviewed in my head what I did wrong and went back in my mind to remember those speakers who I believed did better than me in the categories I scored low in. We learn from each other s strengths as well as our mistakes. Accordingly, chapter ten focuses on the beginning and ending a speech. An effective introduction gets the speakeroff on the right foot. The right foot means that the speaker has accomplished the goal of a great hook to attract the audiences attention. A speaker s introduction is a way to make the audience feel intrigued and want to continue listening so that he or she will feel as though what is about to be said is to benefit them. An effective conclusion ends the speech on a strong note. The strong note is the speaker going back to review what was previously said so that the audience can remember that information and use it somehow in a way that the speaker intended it to be used. During my speech, I felt that greeting my peers and informing them on what I will be speaking about, which was introducing my partner, would be a great start for my audience to be awake and to feel included on what they will be putting their attention on. Out of the eight methods in the first objective, I used the last one which was gaining their attention by referring to the occasion. I introduced the fact that my ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Parkinson s Disease And The Disease Parkinson s disease is a chronic disorder of the nervous system with a gradual onset that primarily affects the body s motor system. The symptoms of the disease are mainly caused by the death of dopamine producing cells in the midbrain. Dopamine is an important neurotransmitter that, among other things, is responsible for playing a role in how the brain controls bodily movements. Therefore, the cardinal symptoms of the disease are movement related, including tremor and rigid, jerky movements. Parkinson s disease produces both motor symptoms and nonmotor symptoms. There are four cardinal motor symptoms of Parkinson s: tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia (slow movements), and postural instability. Tremor is the most obvious symptom of Parkinson s, as well as the most common. The tremor is uncontrollable and is most noticeable when the limb is at rest; when the limb is in use, the tremor disappears. Often times, the tremor only affects the hand or foot on one side of the body, but it can eventually become bilateral. Rigidity is characterized as stiffness and resistance to movement in the limbs. The arms, legs, face, and back are areas commonly affected. Early on, rigidity can cause joint pain, often in the shoulder. Bradykinesia is one of the most common symptoms of Parkinson s. It is described as slowness and difficulty in initiating and making movements, especially repetitive movements and fine motor skills, such as writing. Bradykinesia greatly affects the ability of the Parkinson s sufferer to perform common activities of daily life, like getting dressed. According to Nolden (2015), postural instability is the imbalance and loss of righting reflexes. This is usually a symptom that shows up in the late stages of Parkinson s. Postural instability is linked with high rates of hip fractures in people with Parkinson s disease, due to increased falls. • 8. Into The Wild By John Krakauer Into the Wild Analysis John Krakauer s depiction of the tragic life of Chris McCandless in the award winning novel Into the Wild creates different schools of thought that brew a perfect storm for debate. Krakauer s polarizing style is what makes it so special, because no two people will feel the same way as they experience the journey of McCandless. One of the highly discussed topics of the novel relates to the idea that Chris journey of self discovery in his quest for ultimate freedom is inherently selfish or nobel. Relieving himself of money takes place on a consistent bases in the novel because Chris doesn t want the attachment to hold him back, or make his journey to easy. Another example of the simplistic life Chris Alex Supertramp McCandless is attempting to live can be obtained from the first interaction in the book. Driverless cars has been apart of the human imagination for quite awhile now, proof being in popular science fiction. It wasn t until the early 2000 s that modern technology was ready take this very imaginative idea and turn it into a reality. Many companies have been working on driverless cars and are seeing quite the success. Although driverless cars are a step in the right direction of developing extremely useful technology, I feel driverless cars should not be given to the public because it will completely change society in many ways. Google co founder, Sergey Brin, has a vision for a future with a public transporttaxi system that uses drivingcars. In this future no one will need to buy cars because there will be taxis to take people everywhere. In this future people will not have the need to learn to drive because technology will be so advance that cars have the ability to drive themselves. While this will have an effect on society as a whole, it will have the biggest impact on adolescence. • 11. The Articles Of Confederation And The Constitution Constitution and Articles Analysis The Articles of Confederation and The Constitution were both written I believe to ensue peace in a new nation where great freedoms had just been betrothed upon. Both written within ten years of each other, the main point it was trying to get across was the idea of one nation. They were written by the same people who all in all had similar ideas. There are many differences as well. From the main one being sovereign states, to how many states must approve an amendment. One reason for the difference is some had other interpretations of certain wordings.Unfortunately, this is what brought us the Civil War. The southern states felt that their constitutional rights had been violated when they were told they could not take slaves with them to the west. They were then told that they could not secede from the rest of the union. And the rest is well, history. There are many similar things about both of these documents. They both want to secure the nation as a whole. After being able to escape the British rule, they wanted to come together as one nation. Both gave power to the government to help regulate the laws of the land. The writers knew that they would be stronger and harder to over run if the laws were written out on paper. It gave each state their own rights to run it how they like, but still made sure the government had the final so if it was written down. • 14. Benevolent Sexism In Business Better Together: Why Benevolent Sexism Is Harmful to Women in Business In the fight for equality, it is obvious to defend against forms of sexism that are used for antagonization. However, chivalrous attitudes that cast women as weak and in need of men are often ignored. Social psychologists have studied the effects of benevolent sexism using experiments testing one s performance shortly after being labeled as incompetent. Benevolent sexism is not a series of compliments, but rather a threat to one s ability to think, learn, and perceive information. The workplace is an environment of which benevolent sexism occurs most often and one of which most are familiar with. Benevolent sexism in business does not allow men and women to achieve the same goals within the work place. Forcing an individual into a social role can limit them to only specific simple tasks that do not allow for maximum personal growth. Often times, benevolent sexism is mistaken for a well intentioned compliment. However, there are real world dangers that come with assigning a stereotype to an individual. Within business, one of the most common forms of benevolent sexism is assuming that because a woman has the ability to bear children she should engage in any nurturing roles. Melanie Tannenbaum elucidates the issue with labeling women as more caring, maternal, and compassionate in the 2013 article, The Problem When Sexism Just Sounds So Darn Friendly . • 17. Love Affair Between Calixta And Alcee The theme of infidelity in literature can be approached in many ways ... The Storm by Kate Chopin takes a more amorous route than most, delving into a love affair between Calixta and Alcee. Sweat by Zora Neale Hurston takes a more vengeful path, and focuses on Delia, whose husband, Sykes, is cheating on her. Despite their vastly different approaches, both short stories portray facets of infidelity. Though a heftier portion of the audience may relate to or sympathize with Delia in Sweat, The Storm also leaves the audience with some mixed feelings about their own former lovers, or the blandness of their current relationship. In both The Storm and in Sweat, there is an overarching theme of infidelity. Though it is not the only theme in either of the stories, it is one of the more prominent ones. In The Storm, Calixta cheats on her husband with her former beau, and it is not looked upon as bad or wrong. There is no evidence showing that there will be any sort of punishment. In Sweat, however, the author takes a very different approach. Sykes is a terrible, abusive husband who cheats on his wife remorselessly, thus making the audience view infidelity in a harsher light. This leaves him with a more gruesome fate, where he dies by the end of the story. Although both stories have a theme of infidelity, The Storm, it is more focused on the act itself rather than the consequences. • 18. Characters And Nihilism In The Novel s Fathers And Sons In the novel, Fathers and Sons , the character Bazarov is known to be a self confident, and intelligent doctor who s known to leave a few great impressions behind when interacting with his fellow characters large and small, like Fenichka and the lower classman people. However, as nice as he may seem, I do not believe that the story intends Bazarov to be the protagonist, but rather the antagonist. His beliefof nihilism, the rejection of all religious and moral principles, is one of the reasons why he is shown as an antagonist. Following that, is how he rudely carries out his own opinions to others, but then later on, turns out to be a hypocritic of his own teachings ; making him very displeasing to the audience to read. So although some may argue that Bazarov is a hero, because of lighter traits, I would have to disagree because of his belief of nihilism, how he carries it out to people and later turning himself into a hypocritic, making the novel play against Bazarov rather than for him. In the beginning of the story, Bazarov was known as a great friend to Arkady, and for a short lived time, he was not wrong. Bazarov was written with attractive figures for an antagonist, physically and non physical. Typically, an antagonist is seen as evil and ugly from the inside to out, but Bazarov was the exact opposite. • 19. Time Is An Illusion Essay Time. Is it an illusion? Or is it real? These two questions have been debated many times by philosophers all around the world but they have yet to give a certain answer. Everyday, we use the concept of time to measure how long an event is, to tell someone when to do what and to place your events of the day in order. We are constantly using the perception of timein our sentences, but is time actually real? I personally think that time is an illusion. I believe this because time is simply something that gives order to our events, we do not progress in time and that time is simply an illusion created by us. Time is something that reminds us when there is an event that we must attend to. If you look at a clock, all you see is a bunch of numbers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Saint Augustine stated that there are three times; a present time about things past, a present time about things present, a present time about things future. The future exists only as expectations, the past exists only as memory, but expectation and memory exist in the present. This means that you cannot relive the past because you are always in the present time. Even if you are remembering a memory from the past or waiting for something in the future, you are still in the present. Marina Abramovic quotes: Time is an illusion. Time only exists when we think about the past and the future. Time doesn t exist in the present here and now. This means that we only think that there is time since there is a past and future. As time flows, the present is always updating itself every millisecond. As you read this sentence, you might think that you are in the present but the moment is no longer happening. After you read the sentence, that time you read it becomes the past. If you backtrack to the memory of you reading the sentence, you are still in the present even though you are thinking of the past. If you look at the clock, in one minute the you that you are now will be in the past. The future you will become the present you and then almost instantly become the past you. The premiere was on January 5 1953 in Paris. After World War II, he wrote Waiting for Godot. In Samuel Beckett s play, Waiting for Godot, it is essential that the play is characterized by time and hopelessness. That the purpose of life is unanswerable; there is no apparent meaning to it. When first analyzing the play, there is an uncertainty if anything happens within the play or the title character s significance because of the constant repetition without achieving answers throughout the story. Waiting for Godotcaptures the feeling that a situation is hopelessly unfathomable. The play characterizes hopelessness with forms that symbolize humanity and its behavior with all the characters. It emphasizes that because a human s life is dependant on chance and that time is meaningless, reassuring that a human s life is meaningless. The reality of this makes humans ambiguous, looking for outside forces, which may or may not be imaginary, for direction. Just as Vladimir and Estragoncling onto Godot, without knowing whether or not he or it is real. On of the play s assumptions is that chance is the main factor behind a human s existence. Again, leading that human life is determined by and only chance. Beckett beckons on the path of religious symbolism. Hints of Christianity are influenced in this play throughout. In addition to how the sets looked, how the scenes were shot within those sets added to theme as well. When the characters were within the matrix, the scenes were shot using a green tint, mimicking the feel of early monochrome computer monitors. When the characters were in the real world, they used a blue tint and longer shot lenses which soften the background while putting more emphasis on the characters. As I also mentioned earlier, the actual appearance of the characters in the film is another component in the theme of appearance verses reality. When the main characters are in the real world, they are shown with having a connection port on the back of their necks. Object Relations Theory Is A Psychodynamic Theory Object Relations Theory Object relations theory is a psychodynamic theory that observes our capability to form long lasting attachments, and is based on our early experiences of disconnection from and connections with out primary caregivers. We internalize our initial relationship examples, which means that our first relationships make lasting impressions on us, determining how we approach future relationships. Also, object relations theorystudies how people form various attitudes towards others and how those attitudes affect their view of themselves as well as social relationships. There is a central notion of object relation s theory, which is that all people naturally search for relationships with others, what this theory looks at is how well an individual can form the interpersonal relationship and what, if any, deficiencies in social functioning may have occurred. For social workers, this theory is helpful in seeing an individual in the framework of the relationship rather than an individual being. According to object relations theory, the ultimate situation is to be raised by caregivers who in turn help us to progressively and appropriately move away from their physical and emotional direct care while they continue to convey their availability for support (Hutchison, 2013). These early associations are a major determinant of our personalities and the quality of our interpersonal performance (Hutchison, 2013; Dorfman, Meyer, Morgan, 1998). Essentially, an ... The Federal Communication Commission is responsible for regulating interstate and international communication through modes of communication like radio, television, and satellite. Although the Federal Communication Commission does have some negative consequences the positive implications that resulted because of the creation of the FCC outweigh them. The Federal Communication Commission often is under scrutiny for allegedly infringing on people s rights to freedom of speech because of their penalties they have for certain things that are said on TV or on the radio. For instance, in 2012, the FCC was taken to the Supreme Court by Fox Television Stations, Inc. because of a fine that was given to Fox for allowing explicits on a live broadcast of the 2002 Billboard Music Awards. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Fox because they believed that these fines were unconstitutional. While these does seem like a very clear violation of the first amendment of the Bill of Rights. There needs to be institutions in place that have the power to regulate things like the what is on TV or the radio because while every should have the freedom to say what they are thinking, there needs to be a line and some to judge whether something has crossed that line. Eutrophication, nutrients, monitoring, streams, reservoir INTRODUCTION In 2014, 43% of all U.S. lakes and reservoirs were classified as impaired due to not fulfilling one or more designated uses; nutrients and agriculture were the primary factor and source causing impairments (U.S. EPA 2014). Commercial fertilizers designed to increase crop productivity can promote biological productivity in waters draining agricultural lands; fertilizers contribute nearly 57,000 tons of total nitrogen into the White River per year (Martin, 1996; PopoviДЌovГЎ 2008). This shows the contradictions to the religious system due to the Elizabethan Religious Settlement s failure to establish a state religion. This control of Protestant gentry in Parliament, referred to by J. As a result, we see there is a lot of proposed reform during the middle years of Elizabeth s reign, however very few of the proposed legislation is passed, for example in 1571 2 there were bills introduced proposing further reform but none were passed. This shows that though the radical Protestants had attempted to push for reforms, Elizabeth I had blocked some, suggesting she did not want to reform the Church of England using the radical Protestant ideals. In fact, by 1918, nearly three million women were employed in the textile, food, and war industries. Many restrictions on women s participation in these industries were torn down during World War 1. Women slowly started gaining more social responsibilities. They started working as streetcar conductors and radio operators; they also worked in logging camps and steel mills. During the war, they not only had to support their households, but also the war effort. After the war, their labor was far from over. It was now more socially acceptable to continue working. In addition, many men died in the war and women had to work single handedly to support their family. The public view of war changed after World War 1. Before the war, the public had seen war as it was in the 1800s with large armies attacking each other in open fields in battles that rarely lasted for more than a day. However, new technology and tactics made warfare much more gruesome. One tactic became known as trench warfare. When the British released a realistic film about the Battle of the Somme, a battle fought by Britain and France against Germany, the public was shocked. Soldiers no longer participated in distinct battles; they could be attacked at any time of day. This constant state of fear had obvious psychological effects. The public became disillusioned about war due to the large body counts as well. Pacifism became more popular as a result. The growth of independence movements was another important effect of the war. In territories controlled by Russia and England in particular, independence movements became common. The colonies had been largely neglected over the four years the countries were at war, and they finally saw their opportunity to rise up. I am a citizen of the United States who attends Jamaica Gateway to The Sciences and I have some concerns regarding the Patriot Act, which you have recently reinstated. I understand that you might be wondering what a kid would understand about the Patriot Act? Well, the thing is I understand plenty, as a matter of fact I agree with the Patriot Act to a certain extent. I personally believe that the Patriot Act is a great concept that reinforces the protection of the U.S from future terrorist attacks; however, some of its ideologies are slightly unjust. To my understanding the Patriot Act is an act that emerged due to the horrific events of September 11th, 2001. I myself may not have had a first... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To my understanding the U.S Constitution is a number of principles that are supposed to be acknowledged by the U.S. I do not believe that the Patriot Act is obeying these principles; as a matter of fact it violates several amendments that are in the Constitution. According to the highlights of the Patriot act, Allowing males of Middle Eastern or South Asian descent to be profiled as potential terrorists, without probable cause... This allows any person who is of Middle Eastern or South Asian decent that lives in the U.S to be acknowledged as a terrorist without any evidence at all. This is completely inhumane and causes major problems in society. It mainly forces countless individuals of the U.S to live in fear just because of their ethnic background. Now, this is just one of the many problems of the Patriot Act. According to Eric Lichtblau, ... [The Government] demand records from institutions like libraries and medical offices; and use a broad definition of terrorism in pursuing suspects... This demonstrates the violation of the 4th amendment, which states, ... unreasonable searches and seizures shall not be violated... (Amendments to the Constitution). Countless social issues are portrayed, however one of the most reoccurring is the nature of man. Throughout the novel there is an ever present focus on the loss of innocence amongst the boys, shown by the deterioration of social skills and their retrogression into a barbaric form of society. Also portrayed is the juxtaposition of a cruel, evil main character and a more classically good counterpart, and their eternal rivalry for power and authority over their younger subjects. Does society or the lack thereof create evil in human nature, or simply magnify a pre existing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jack, negatively portrayed in comparison to Ralph, tempts the boys with an array of forbidden treats, indulging their most violent, suppressed desires in an attempt to lull them away from the security of Ralph. In a sense, Jack is negatively compared to Ralph throughout the novel, and is often portrayed as confused and violent, very aware of the evil inside of him: The real problem that arises among the boys involves their own inner nature... (Johnston 2). When his plan fails, Jack feels as though his seat of power is threatened and therefore resorts to terrorizing, threatening and essentially forcing the boys to join him and align themselves against Ralph, alienating them from their former, comfortable life style and thus making what they once failed to appreciate all the more desirable. Once these boys join Jack s tribe, they are forced to follow his orders, committing heinous atrocities against their former friends in a desperate attempt to avoid the physical punishment Jack inflicts on those who disobey him. Jack rules his subjects through fear and intimidation, and yet lures them in by playing on hidden desires unbeknownst to them. • 41. Modern Art And African Art There is a clear connection between modern art and African art. African symbols, shapes, and ideologies influence paintings, textiles, and sculptures. However, not many discuss comics within the traditional definition of art. The medium of comics boomed after the Great Depression with Superman. A time of hardship, the Depression left people needing something to believe in. Since the beginning of time people have used storytelling and mythology to explain the world around them. After the Depression with the birth of Superman, superheros were no different. Superheros are modern mythologies, a phrase coined by Richard Reynolds. In his book, Super Heroes: A Modern Mythologies, he refers to Roland Barters essay Myth Today, which points out that mythology represents culture as nature to explain the political and social anatomy of societies. Superheroes contribute to this concept by using science and magic to create a sense of mythical wonder. Reynolds uses the example of Thor, who is a god trapped on earth in the body of a scientist with a walking stick as punishment from his father Odin. Throughout the comic book universe there are heroes that not only draw from Norse mythology, but Native American, Hindu, and Greco Roman mythology as well. One has to wonder if there is a connection between superheroes and African mythology. The 1980 Olympic hockey game between the Soviet Union and the United States known as the miracle on ice is the most incredible moments in recent American history due to the significance. The United States was truly an underdog kind of like David and goliath, because no one expected the United States to win against the soviets. The time in history is also important as the game took place during the height of the cold warand these two nations that could break into nuclear war at anytime had to face each other in a hockey game. This rivalry between the two countries transferred on to the game and the result was amazing, at least for the United States. In modern day America sports are a very important part of our culture, because we are constantly watching sports and participating in sports. In any sport we watch mythology is present. • 51. Congo’s Era of Damnation In the year 1885, King Leopold II of Belgium imperialized the Independent State of the Congo. Leopold set the area up under his own personal rule. His rule was an extremely negative and very unwanted thing that plunged the area into an era of damnation. The early history of the congo really starts in 150 AD. The indigenous immigrants to the Congo, who were most likely Pygmies, had migrated from the northern area to the savannah regions in the south now called DROC, or Democratic Republic of the Congo (Clarke, John H). These immigrants brought agriculture, and made iron tools. Moving ahead to 1482, the Portuguese navigator, Diogo CГЈo visited the Congo River marking the first ever known European contact with the region. Henry Stanley, a British explorer is commanded to proclaim King Leopold s rule over the Congo in 1879. This is followed by European powers at the Berlin Conference who recognised Leopold s claim to the Congo basin and he announces the establishment of the Congo Free State headed by himself (Democratic Republic of...), thus beginning Leopold s era of tyranny. Leopold s purpose of controlling the Congo was for the vast amount of resources such as ivory, rubber, and copper. In 1887, J.B. Dunlop s invention of inflatable, rubber, bicycle tires and the rapid increase in the popularity of the automobile, caused the demand for rubber to increase dramatically.
