Us Government Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of "US Government" can be both challenging and rewarding. The
complexity arises from the vastness of the subject matter, which encompasses a wide range of
political, historical, and socio-economic aspects. The US Government has a rich and intricate
structure, involving three branches with their respective functions, historical developments,
constitutional principles, and the interplay of power among them.
To compose a comprehensive essay, one must delve into the intricacies of the US political
system, including the formation of the Constitution, the checks and balances in place, the
evolution of political parties, and the impact of landmark events on governance. Analyzing the
current political landscape, policies, and their implications adds another layer of difficulty, as it
requires staying informed on contemporary issues and developments.
Furthermore, an effective essay on the US Government demands critical thinking, the ability to
synthesize information, and articulate coherent arguments. The writer must navigate through a
sea of information, selecting relevant data, and presenting a balanced view that reflects a deep
understanding of the subject. Crafting a compelling thesis statement that encapsulates the
essence of the essay and guides the reader through a logical flow of ideas is a crucial aspect that
requires careful consideration.
Addressing the essay's complexity involves conducting extensive research, citing authoritative
sources, and ensuring that the information presented is accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, a
thorough understanding of academic writing conventions, proper citation styles, and adherence
to guidelines set by educational institutions are essential elements to consider.
In conclusion, while the task of writing an essay on the topic of "US Government" may be
challenging due to its multifaceted nature, it offers an opportunity for intellectual growth and a
deeper understanding of the subject matter. With dedication, careful research, and effective
organization, one can overcome the difficulties and produce a well-crafted essay that contributes

Walking Survey Report
Upon conducting the survey, the main population, which was interviewed was of
Hispanic descent. According to New York City (n.d.), Inwood is made up of a
large community of Hispanics and Latinos, approximately 75% of the residents in
this area are of this ethnic background. A walking survey was conducted of the
elementary school area, which is located in a park that is surrounded by the Harlem
River and a stretch of the Harlem River drive. Visual inspection of the area revealed
that the school was covered in scaffolding and netting, due to construction. One could
clearly see dust and particles, as result of this construction. Due to the scaffolding, the
school windows were not visible. We were, therefore, unable to determine whether
the windows were open or closed during class... Show more content on

If the windows were open, it would act as a source of pollution for the school age
children, as well as, accompanied field exposure from outside activities. The
elementary school is also located within a short distance to the highways, where there
are many automobiles that account for added air pollution and exposure. According to
Google Maps (n.d.), the school is approximately 113.11 ft. (34.48 m) from the
Harlem River Drive. A walking survey was also conducted of the area outside the
studied area, where we observed a sanitation depot located on 215th Street and 10th
Avenue, as well as, a bus depot, which located on 10th Avenue between 216th Street
and 218th Street. If these vehicles use the Harlem River Drive as their main access
into and out of the neighborhood, this can greatly contribute to air pollution in the
surveyed area, as well as, the emissions from

Baxandall The Painters And Clients Fifteenth-Century
Analysis
The Painters and Clients Fifteenth Century in Italy by Baxandall, clarifies how the
style of painting in any society reflects the visual skills and propensities that develop
out of daily life. He attempted to recuperate the expectation of painters and audience,
the things they would have thought would be vital and the things they would have
underappreciate. Baxandall considered different kinds of knowledge to compose a
picture of Quattrocento. [Ibid, 64] Italian paintings of the fifteenth century in some
sense encapsulate, reflect, or offer information about the protocol governing how
people interact with each other.
Baxandall main idea is about how painters and cooperate and how contracts are
executed in the Fifteenth Century in Italy. He
The Leadership Practice Of A Nursing Student
As a nursing student, I have had great success forming therapeutic relationships with
my clients and have received positive feedback from clinical instructors about my
patient communication. However, I experience uncertainty when interacting with
peers or colleagues. My lack of confidence translates into difficulty forming effective
professional relationships. This assessment is reflected in my Clinical Leadership
Survey as a deficit in the leadership practice of Encouraging the Heart. This practice
includes behaviors such as recognizing contributions, celebrating accomplishments,
and providing feedback (Patrick, Laschinger, Finegan, and Wong, 2011).
The results of my baseline survey support the theory that my weakness is in
interprofessional communication. Alternatively however, I recorded equal strength
of fourteen out of fifteen in the other four leadership practices. Each of these four
practices incorporates an element of Emotional Intelligence and reflective practice.
Based on my clinical experiences and feedback from instructors, I agree with these
results and can identify that interprofessional communication is the skill I must
develop to become an effective leader.
Personal Strategies Over the Term
Throughout this semester, I worked through the Unfreeze and Move stages of Lewin
s Force Field Model for change. Similar to the Assessment and Planning steps of the
Nursing Process, the Unfreezing stage occurs when the individual identifies a need

The Relationship Between Central African Franc And
France...
Lowrey (1995) supports the fact that there is a theoretical relationship between the
Central African Franc (CFA) and France s inflation rates, and that the CFA members
monetary policies are, in effect, still determined by France. In the case of French
economic aid, various scholars demonstrate how this has traditionally been deployed
to maintain influence and power in Africa. As noted above, Cumming (2001) has
written extensively about political conditionality as something that the recipient
country had to do prior to receiving French aid. Others such as Olsen (2001) also
questions the impact of public opinion on the setting up of French ODA.
Others still focus on cultural assistance (Andereggen 1994Нѕ Kanu 2007), as culture
represents an essential and integral part of any country s diplomacy. For example,
Andereggen (1994) stresses the cultural side of this relationship through the
promotion of instruments such as the Alliances Françaises and the Centres Culturels
Français, which ceased to exist after 2011 and were replaced by the Instituts
Français. Some authors highlight more coercive tools such as political
conditionality (Crawford 1997Нѕ Cumming 2001). Cumming also details civil
society building aid programmes and is less acerbic and explores France s attempts
to bolster the efforts of French and Cameroonian civil society actors. Ultimately, he
however recognises that the French state has not been willing to jeopardise its own
interests in the stability of the

proves the above mentioned argument, in which he initially assumed that text is a
grave of author when text came out, then the reader was born which is also stated in
the the Death of the Author , then Barthes criticised that old critic considered author
genius meaning that the creator is so sophisticated. He also signified another fact
about classic thinkers that they disregarded the history of the writer which left
nothing to the writer since history shaped gracious literary aspect of the writer, if
they are emptied from them, then writer will stay just as sculptor which can

Foucault s essay tended to dismiss the author from his position with respect to analyse
the texts while Barthes granted all the interpretative responsibly to the reader. Both
theorists apprehended the notion of author has no authority in directing the
interpretation of their writings. Foucault, in his essay What Is an Author? argues that
the critics should not evaluate the text in relation with its author, instead, they should
analyse the text itself in the light of the its structure, basic form and its design
architecture. His brief description of author is just a discursive person. Foucault
commented on himself in his essay for being focused on a specific subject, he
justifies that it is not because they were interesting to him but because the subject
may have something to do his personal life. He affirms that his experience with the
things that surround him would help him better recognize or understand them when
he does any theoretical work (Mills, 11). Foucault interlinks author and work , in way
that author s text is counted as his work thus he argues that if author is
Review Of Nicolo And Maffeo Polo
In 1260, Nicolo and Maffeo Polo set forth on their first journey to the East. After
traveling from the East to the land of the Tartar they reached the Kublai Khan
court. The Khan questioned them about the Catholic faith and asked them to
return to Europe and request the pope to send missionaries. However, when the
two explorers returned they learned that Pope Clement was dead. After that discovery
they also revealed Nicolo s wife had died while giving birth to a son, who is now in
his teenage years. After the passing of the Pope there was a long delay in naming a
new one. In 1271, Marco Poloset forth navigating across exotic lands with his father
and uncle on a journey that lasted several years. Marco Polo discovered trade and
religion that has brought the world together today. The beginning of their journey led
to them being accepted into the Kublai KhanCourt. This journey took place across
deserts, mountains, and seas in East Asia, continuing along the Silk Road, and
through regions that were unknown to the Western World. Also, they had many
encounters with creatures, plants, and humans from different cultures. Through
acceptance and service, Marco Polo was led to places far away that were rich of
gems, gold, and silk. Yet, when participating in a military conflict in 1298 he was
taken captive. Marco Polo, the son of a Venetian merchant and traveler, has become
one of the most famous European travelers because of the documentation of his
journey. Marco Polo

Furthermore, due to yearly sporting events such as UEFA Champions league,
Super Bowl and the enormous interest in sport generally, the demand for sport
products are high. The sports apparel industry is perceived to be a difficult
industry to enter. The high degree of competiveness and the need of innovating
thinking are undeniable. In addition, several incumbents have reached large scale
production and as a result it will be expensive for new entrants to fight for market
share. Many of the producers use famous athletes to front their products. The
market powers of such athletes are priceless and help boost their sales. With regard
to the financial crisis, looking at profitability ratios and sales, it is visible that the
industry and the companies competing in the industry suffered in the sense that
their sales decreased compared to previous years. However, due to the FIFA world
cup in 2010, their sales numbers where extremely well compared to sales numbers
from 2009. Economic Situation To be able to evaluate the financial performance
of Adidas in a more comprehensive manner, Puma has been chosen as the

fiscal years. Nike Inc ends their fiscal year in May, and both Adidas A and Puma end
their fiscal years in December. Comparing Adidas A to Nike could generate bias
estimates and there would not be possible to compare fiscal year 2010. Due to the

Water Density Lab
Density is the measurement of an object that has a relative mass and is divided by a
specific volume. Mass is the amount of matter an object possesses. Volume is the
amount of space of an object occupies (solid, liquid or gas.) In chemistry the term
density can be described as a physical and intensive property of matter. The term
intensive property means, it is independent on the size and amount of a substance.
Many chemist compare different types of densities of elements and substance with
water. Densitycan be either expressed as (g/mL) for liquids, (g/cm3) for solids, and
grams per liter (g/L) for gases. (Ch. 7 Notes, Dr. Binz, Lindenwood University, 2015.)
The density of water is about 1.00 g/mL. If the density of an object is less... Show

It can be calculated by determining the average mass and average volume of the
known and unknown zodiaq quartz. A new method that was learned from doing the
experiment was being able to measure mass and volume which later helps scientist
identify a either a new complete substance or even just an unordinary substance.
The percent error in this experiment was roughly under six percent, which was
appropriate in this experiment. One reason for high percent error was when the
mass was being measured, the scale was need to be zeroed. Once it was zeroed, the
scale must be completely motionless. So the mass of the weight could have been
measure when the scale was not still, which meant it was not accurately zeroed. The
final reason for the high percent error was when the object was placed on the
weight, the table was begin to shake due to others surrounding the table. This could
have created issues, when zeroing the scale at the beginning, and when trying to find
the exact mass of the object. The table was not perfectly still, so this could have been
an issue when determining the mass for each
Twenty-One Pilots
Twenty One Pilots, a alternative rock duo from Columbus, Ohio, rose to fame very
quickly after forming in 2009. The duo is known for their subtle double meaning in
their catchy songs, conveying deep messages. They cover broad topics such as going
against social norms, insecurities, religion, and depression, which are things that are
not really talked about among today s hit songs. A songthat depicts the corrupted and
lifeless music industry is presented in their song called Holding onto You, released in
2001. The song s purpose is to inform listeners that they will get nothing but him in
his future songs, that he isn t making music to simply put a mindless beat on the
radio. He promotes this idea by utilizing diction, imagery, and the overall... Show

Tyler is now letting the audience gain a illustration of how much the producers are
always pushing their ideas and trying to change their decisions with surrounding the
artist with their own.
The listeners are exposed to a defiant type of atmosphere when listening to the duo
s song, it s a song that makes the people who are listening feel a sense of
empowerment and assertiveness. When combining the diction and imaginary we are
left to gain an overall feeling of the singer being defiant, because he will not stop
fighting against the produced on what he thinks is right for his own brand, and his
love for his deep meaningful music.
In today s culture, people are not subjected to music with a real meaning anymore,
usually money, fame, breakups, and sex, is what you ll find playing on the radio.
However, that doesn t mean every artist does this, Twenty One Pilots, a band that
hides their messages deep within the song, you ll just have to listen closely to figure
it out. Using diction, imagery, and the overall tone is something that can help the
artist disguise their songs, multiple bands do this to go against their produces, so
they can secretly say what they want to say, so they can have an audience listen to

Ancient Korea
The world is largely unfamiliar with Korean history. Often Korea has been
misunderstood as a part of or just mockup miniature of China. Much of this
confusion was the result of a lack of knowledge or interest in Korea (Kummer, 1).
Korea history has been overlooked in the world because Korea is surrounded with
strong countries. Koreaused to be a colony in the past.
According to legend, Dangun is the founder of Korea and the father of the Korean
people. The story about Dangun is just fiction (Kim, 37). This empire, called the
Gojoseon, was founded about 2333 BC. Historians believe that the empire existed
around 1500 BC. The certain fact is that between 800 BC and 300 BC, the Gojoseon

no exception to a Korean princess who born in 1912. Deokhye was an only
daughter of the King. She had to live in Japan, which conquered her country, was
forced into a political marriage with a Japanese, and lived most of her life in exile,
38 years after she left. The king was really old when she was born. He had just one
daughter. So she was so precious to him. Deokhye was a very bright child. She
used to study in the Korean palace. However, she had to study at the school for
Japanese nobility, learning lessons, and wearing Japanese or Western clothes. In
1925, she was sent to Japan to join the Crown Prince Youngchin, who was to be
married to her. It was just a part of the policy to absorb the royalty of Joseon into
the Japanese Imperial family. It was to prevent the Joseon Royal Family from
becoming the symbol of the anti colonial movement. She missed her country and
family. Princess Deokhye s life in Japan was not happy. Even though she was
royalty, she was just an imposed one. She was a deported person, always anxious
and in fear for her safety. She tried to overcome her loneliness by being with her
half brother s family, but her loneliness was deep. King Gojong passed away in
1919. Her mother also died in 1929. She could not wear proper mourning clothes for

Similarities Between Hinduism And Christianity
Hinduism and Christianity Hinduism and Christianity are two religions that have
been around for thousands of years. Both religions since creation has developed
philosophies on certain subjects that can be compared and contrasted, to show the
similarities and differences within Hinduism and Christianity. Key subjects that can
be analyzed after reviewing the history and foundation of these religions are their:
paths to enlightenment/salvation, the religions treatment of women, and the afterlife.
This paper will give a thorough and concise analysis through discussion with the
inclusion of comparing and contrasting embedded throughout this paper. One of the
most important elements of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main deities of the Hindu religion are Brahma and his two lieutenants named
Shiva and Vishnu. The god Vishnu is the creator, and Shiva is the destroyer. One is
not looked upon as better than the other. This shows the ultimate realism that the
Hindu culture possesses. These are not the only gods in Hindu culture. There are
many others and all have special skills and talents. The gods themselves also give
birth to the idea of avatars, or the form of god when he or she comes to earth.
Perhaps the most important part of the philosophy of a religion lay in its path to
enlightenment. The main ideas of enlightenment come through the Four Ends of
Life. The first of these ends is Moksa. Moksa could be considered the realization of
separation between the spiritual self and the physical self. It is only through this
realization that one can be released from the mortal coil and allowed to spiritual
liberty. It is through Moska that the Hindu follower becomes familiar with the
existence of the spiritual world. The second of the Four Ends of life is Kama. This
end says that we must pass through life in an ethical manner that brings about the
most from life. This includes learning its great values as well as experiencing its
enjoyments. This protects the Hindu follower from shutting out the physical world
entirely. Artha is the third end and it deals with wealth and material well being. It

Gaap Earnings Vs Non Gaap
Lately, it is becoming more and more common for companies to report their
financials using Non GAAP earnings. A non GAAP financial measure is a numerical
measure of an issuer s historical or future financial performance, financial position, or
cash flow that excludes amounts that are found in GAAP financials (SEC, 2002).
Non GAAPearnings are an alternative way of reporting the performance of a
company as opposed to GAAP earnings. Many companies often reportnon GAAP
earnings alongside the required GAAP earnings. They claim that non GAAP
earnings more accurately depicts what the company is going through and precisely
shows their financials. A few common examples of non GAAP earnings are pro forma
earnings, cash earnings, operating earnings, and EBITA (SEC, 2002). Pro forma
refers to earnings, which exclude non recurring items (SEC, 2001). It is regularly
found that technology startups are responsible for a lot of the use of non GAAP
earnings because these corporations remove certain items like taxes in their non
GAAP accounting to turn loss into profit (Young 2013). Because of the lack of
standardization and the potential for creative accounting, it makes it difficult to draw
relevant comparisons among companies or draw meaningful information from these
statistics. These reasons alone make the SEC and investors very weary about the
implementation of it. An example of a company that uses non GAAP earnings is
Macy s. Being such a large company to report their

Verbal Irony: This is an example of verbal irony because throughout the course of
the book the protagonist, Nick becomes more inclined to judge those in the plot.
Specifically, he judges Tom and Daisy for their poor decisions that cause a
negative impact on the lives of those around them. Nick describes them as careless
people, who destroy the lives of others and then leave. Jordan, however describes
Nick as an honest person, which progressively is proved false.

one brick was removed the whole library was liable to collapse. (47)
Symbolism: The library represents Gatsby s hope for the future. His hopes are in a
fragile state and any disruption would cause it to collapse. The man in the library
is also similar to Nick because he is one of the only other people to show up to
Gatsby s funeral and in the same way may have been concerned for Gatsby s
wellbeing, similar to his concern for the stability of the library. The man in the
library is probably the only other character that attempted to understand Mr. Gatsby.

David Lewis s New Work For A Theory Of Universals
One consequence of viewing ontology and identity as relative is that properties
and universals hardly seem much more problematic. Although universals
obviously do not exist on a fundamental level, I think both David Lewis and David
Armstrong provide helpful suggestions on the scope of universals in practical
discourse. While David Lewis s essay New Work for a Theory of Universals (1983)
is quite extensive in its scope and insight, I only wish to draw attention to his
reasoning about the scope of universals. Lewis makes a more radical distinction
between property and universal than most philosophers. Lewis defines the word
property very broadly: an object has a property by virtue of being a member of a
set, so there are as many properties as there are sets. Given that Lewis is a realist
about both set theory and possible worlds, he must recognize a vast and exotic array
of properties. There is a property of fuzzy redness and non square largeness as much
as there is a property of redness, both being sets. Obviously not everything that is
designated a property can claim the status of universal. Only those properties that can
be wholly present in multiple locations are candidates for being universals. Among
these, those given by empirical science (natural properties) make the final cut and are
crowned as universals. In Universals as Attributes, Armstrong grants that universals
exist but denies that they can exist as uninstantiated abstractions. Rather, he
Blade Runner And Post-Modernism
As Gojira (1954) directly involves with a real political subject of atomic bombs, and
conveys the political ideology by creating a fictional monster, Blade Runner (1982)
discusses an issue of post modernism and attacks post modernist ideology by setting
the location in a fictional and imaginative world (Dienstag 2015; Williams 1988). The
environment of Blade Runneris a dystopic world by where the audiences observe the
political implication of Blade Runner society and the exhaustion of modern
ideologies. In Blade Runner, the replicants are a form of living mirror of ourselves.
In the opening scene of Blade Runner, the audiences see a close up of an eye
reflecting the incredible landscape of the city. The eye motif recurs throughout the
film, and argues that the image of eye plays an important role in the story: the Voight
Kampf test eliciting an emotional response to identify whether an entity is a human
or a replicant; the replicants searching a way to the Tyrell Corporationand
interrogating an engineer of replicants, Tyrell; and the leader of replicants, playing
with artificial eyes when becoming a friend with the genetic designer and, takes out
the eyes of Tyrell when he was informed that his life cannot be extended (Dienstag
2015). By recurring the eye motifs, Blade Runner may encourage to view that the
replicant signifies a physical exchange of views between two live entities (Dienstag
2015; Williams 1988). This may suggest the audiences that replicants are no
The Death Penalty Sentence For Juvenile Offenders
The death penalty sentence for juvenile offenders is an intense issue that creates
polarizing ongoing debates. An example of a case needing scrutiny is the Supreme
Court of the United States decision in Roper v. Simmons, where the decision was
made by one vote difference. In this case, however, the situation was complex, as
the defendant was under the age of 18. So, based on the decision made by the
court, I believe the case was decided properly based on the Legal Realism theory. I
agree with the idea that the death penalty for juveniles is unconstitutional and
cruel, the same way it is for an adult. It should not be applied for capital crimes,
although murder should receive a serious punishment for public safety, unless the
case was an accident, or defending something you hold dear or self defense. The 8th
Amendment prohibits the federal government from imposing excessive bail,
excessive fines or cruel and unusual punishment which are the most quoted reasons
to abolish the death penalty with the 14th amendment s due process clause. It
might be agreeable that murder can be justified if something threatens your
survival you will do what it takes to survive, especially in these days of mass
shootings and mass murderers in public places. Catching someone in the act of
physical or sexual abuse of another is also a point of contention when discussing the
justification of murder. If a child is a victim of abuse and kills their abuser, how do
we adjudicate that child? After
The 1950 s And The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA)
Racing has been around for many years. People are addicted to the speed and the
configuration of racing. Racing has proven to be a great way to get people
together and race cars or according to the video even horses. Racing has come
extremely far, as it used to be illegal to do and now people are making a living off
of it. According to the video, the year of 1949 was the first organized drag race
ever. The racing environment was extremely different then than now. Back then,
there were no entry fees or safety precautions taken. Now there are huge entry fees
and may requirements that must be met for the race car and driver to ensure safety.
Racing exploded in the 1950 s and the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) was
created to ensure that there... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This would ensure that the racing was protected, and it is still around today. The
NHRA helped gain respect for drag racing. I think that the NHRA was a great start
for racing. It helped organize races and make it more respectable to people who
may not understand the love and passion some have for racing. The NHRA used
their safety safari to go all over the country to hot rod races, teaching them
everything from selling tickets to the safety of racing the hot rods. I think that this
really helped racing take off. These people have now learned how to make the
sport safer and gain money in order to proceed with their passion for racing. This
also helped the racers gain sponsors such as Coca Cola and Pepsi. Racing relies off
of sponsors now. There has been so many technological advancements in racing,
that not the average person can afford to go out and be competitive enough to win
without help. When I think about sponsors for racing, almost every single huge
corporation sponsors some sort of race car. The racers are helping the sponsors get
more business, while the sponsors support the race car driver so they can make it
to the track. My family has a deep history in open wheel dirt track racing, and they
would not have been able to compete for so long without the help of sponsors.
Racing had now become some people s way of making a living. They were able to
make enough money to support themselves, but still struggled trying to get to and
from each race. The NHRA toured to England to expand the racing dream to people
all over the world. I think this was a great move by the NHRA because the more
people that are interested the more money involved. This video only proves that
racing is advancing and becoming more enjoyed all over the
Heritage And Identity In Everyday Use By Alice Walker
Everyday Use Essay Everyday Use, by Alice Walker, is a thought provoking short
story that touches on the subjects of heritage and identity. Throughout the story, the
two main characters, Mama and Dee, undergo transformations as they attempt to
find their true identities. Mama transforms from a mother that favors her outgoing,
oldest daughter over her more reserved, youngest daughter to a protective one that
is comfortable with her own way of life. Dee changes from an impoverished girl
who is ashamed of her upbringing, to a fiery young woman who is secure in her
African roots. In the beginning of the story, Mama dreams that she and Dee are
finally reunited on a television show. Sometimes I dream a dream in which Dee and
I are suddenly brought together on a TV program...but of course all this does not
show on television. I am the way my daughter would wantme to be (pg. 104). In the
dream Mama is slim and fair skinned, but in reality, she is large with working
hands. Mama feels like she doesn t live up to what Dee wishes she was like. She
wants to make Dee happy, and this shows later on in the story when she tries to
make her other daughter, Maggie, stay and get along with Dee when she comes.
Maggie attempts to make a dash for the house, in her shuffling way, but I stay her
with my hand. Come back here, I say. And she stops and tries to dig a well in the
sand with her toe. (pg. 105). When Mama sees Dee s new Afrocentric identity, she

Assessing and Measuring Competitiveness of Commercial...
The main goal of this section is to provide a review on literature and related models
to the research problem. Generally, there are numerous empirical analyses by
international scholars about assessing and measuring competitiveness of commercial
banks. However, there is no any study related to this problem in Vietnam. Firstly, the
school using Factor Analysis method to measure competitiveness of commercial
banks, XIA Bin, PAN Bin, vГ XIA Hui, (2008) said that the sharp change in the
management environment in banking system of China is an important sign to
implement researches and analyses objectively and efficiently. Therefore, in their
studies, authors used Factor Analysis method to analyze and appraise the
competitiveness of commercial banks in China, from which, the weight of each
indexes would be defined, simultaneously the competitiveness state of the banks
would be manifested by ranking them into different categories. Specially, in this
model, besides financial variables to be used to analyze, other factors such as
governance structure, business innovation and human resources are also considered.
Finally, they combined results of this research with the actual conditions of Chinese
commercial banks to provide important strategies for strengthening the
competitiveness of their country and simultaneously keeping the persistent
development of China s economy in a healthy and safe way. Similar to Chinese

Mein Kaumf by Adolf Hitler Essay
The Holocaust was a very sad time for millions of people in Europe and U.S. The
leader of the Holocaust was Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler was in prison for trying to
take over German Government and while he was in there he wrote a book. The
book was called Mein Kaumf , which described his struggle and how he felt the
German Government should be ran. After Hitler got out from his short sentance in
prison, many people had already read his book which created his power. Hitler felt
that Jews were the main problem for all of Germanys struggles and down fall. In
1935 the Nuremberg laws were created. The Nuremberg laws pretty much stripped
the Jews of there citizenship. In 1936 the Nuremberg laws slowed down because of

Otto owned a spice and canning buisness that was not far from there house. At
Ottos office, it had a very interesting way it was built. When you would walk up the
stairs to where the Secret Annexe (the place the Franks stayed) there would be a
bookshelf covering a door that led to a staircase that led to where they were
staying. If a random person were to have walked off the street and into the office,
they would be very confused in the annexe and have trouble even getting to the
door to the annexe. On the morning of the Franks moving into the Annexe Margot
would have already been there becuase she had been recieving call up notices prior
to there actual day they were moving in so she had already left with Meip (Meip

because they did not want to draw attention to themselves. The Franks were not going
to stay in the Annexe alone. The other people hiding with them were Hermann Van

Albert Dussel. While they were all in hiding they had guardians who were Mr. Franks
workers at his office. The guardians were the people who brought them the supplies
that they needed and they guarded the Annexe. After two years in the Annexe the
members were arrested. It was August 4, 1944 when they were arrested. They thought

news of more results of tests on residents that reveal lead levels in blood in excess of
World Health Organisation guidelines, with a medical expert warning of possible
exposure to potential health risks, including harm to an unborn baby and to the
developing brain and nervous system in children.
Until now confidence in the safety and security of the city s water supply has long
been a given. The lead contamination is a reminder that it can never be taken for

responded by ordering tests on all 170 public housing
Maglev Train Essay
Maglev train states the train is lifted above its tracts by electromagnetic force when
operating. According to the study of Liu, Long and Li(2015), the general advantages
of this brand new technology over the conventional one, namely, the wheeled train,
can be concluded into the following three items. First, due to the absence of the
friction, it can run more smoothly and quietly. Secondly, there are less wear and tear
happening during the operation, hence less maintenance and on going cost is needed.
Lastly, it can attain a rather high speed. This essay will examine the key technologies
of the maglev train from both the dominanted systems and the main characteristics of
high speed and low speed maglev trains perspectives.

The findings of Lu et al (2013) study suggest that it consists of primary coils,
secondary coils and levitation magnet. As Lu et al (2013) state, the train is driven by
the interaction between traveling magnetic field and the eddy currents, as well as
thrust force. This can be demonstrated by the electricity magnetism. However, the
limitations of this system can be apparently found. The intensity of the magnetic
field is uneven, which is shown by the weakened near the entry end sector and the
intensified near the exit end sector (Guo, Zhou and Lian, 2012). This is known as
the end effect . Lee, Kim and Lee (2006) points out that its efficiency is relatively
low due to the end effect. This is further demonstrated by Guo, Zhou and Lian (2012),
who claim that end effect will produce a downwards pressure on the thrust force,
which decreases the power efficiency and affects the motor performance.
Additionally, it tends to be evident that normal force can exert a negative impact on
the levitation system due to end
Dante Alighieri And William Shakespeare
It is amazing how authors make subtle hints about subjects in their writings, and
the readers go without even noticing the hints. Almost every author does this to
some extent, but two most well known authors that do this quite frequently in their
works are Dante Alighieri and William Shakespeare. More commonly these authors
both referred wrote Biblical references in many of their pieces. Dante referred back
to the Bible when writing his Inferno. He not only takes the reader on a journey
into the different levels of Hell but he also uses Biblical references to help the
reader better understand the different levels of Hell. Shakespeare also does this in
his some of his sonnets. He refers to how the body is left on earth but the soulis
outside of the body. Some of the best references to the Bible are made by these two
famously, well known authors. Dante s inferno, also known as The Divine Comedy,
takes the reader on a journey through Hell. Dante has a very detailed approach on
how Hell is divided up in many different levels. The author also goes into such
detail as to which sin goes into which level. On this journey the narrator is lead on
this journey by a guide. The narrator knows this guide and thinks very highly of him.
As they start on this journey of Hell the guide, who is known as Virgil, describes the
reason of why each soul in on the different level. During this journey they meet many
different people. When they meet these people the narrator asks many different

The Role Of Power And Control In The Hour Of The Star
Power and control are common concepts that are often at the heart of human
ambition and desire. They are also at the center of expectations for men by socially
constructed male gender roles. Power and control are key aspects that drive
motivations and achievements, but can prove to be oppressive if enforced on others.
Clarice Lispector and Gene Luen Yang provide their own perspectives of the
influence of power and control on the development of identity through the exploration
of genderand race, respectively, in different cultural settings. [main point of this
paragraph: talk about similarities and lead into differences] [insert general statement
about power and control and how that lead to feelings of power and superiority]
Though different in their focus, both stories introduce and highlight ideas on power
and control through the use of multiple perspectives. In American Born Chinese, the
various point of views are shown through three temporarily disparate plot lines, each
representing different aspects of literature (mythical, real, and surreal), of three
different main characters, the Monkey King, Jin, and Danny. The Hour of the Star
shows this through a layering of perspective, as Rodrigo is a character in the book
writing about another character, Macabea. Through the similar establishment of
various perspectives, the different approaches in the exhibition of power and control
is further highlighted. The Hour of the Star displays a more figurative yet direct
model.

The Synthesis Of Gold Nanoparticles
Abstract: In this study, we report a convenient, simple, economically viable and eco
friendly method for the synthesis of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with carboxymethyl
gum kodagogu (CMGK). Carboxymethyl gum kondagogu is a nontoxic and
renewable. It is used as reducing, stabilizing and capping agent for the synthesis of
AuNPs without using any chemical reducing agent. The effect of various parameters
such as concentration of HAuCl4 and CMKG and reaction time for the synthesis
of AuNPs was studying. The green synthesized AuNPs were characterized by
UVв€’vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR),
transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X ray diffraction techniques. The
resultant CMGK capped AuNPs are extremely stable and had significant
antibacterial action on both Bacillus subtilis (B.subtilis) and Escherichia coli (E.
coli). The catalytic activity of the CMGK capped AuNPs was studied the reduction
of 4 nitrophenol (4 NP) to 4 Amino phenol (4 AP) in the presence of NaBH4. With
respect to the 4 NP the kinetics of the reaction were found to be a pseudo first order.

The Body Of The Ibanez Rg350dx
Ibanez, as a brand, is known for often being able to surpass many other lines in
both quality and overall value. Since the company itself is founded and based in
Japan, there is often lower prices for manufacturing. With this advantage, Ibanez
can produce some very high quality instruments at prices that won t break the
bank. One example of these guitars is the Ibanez RG350DX. Let s take a closer to
see if it lives it up to Ibanez s trademark value. Features: The body of the Ibanez
RG350DX is, like most of its mid range instruments, made of basswood. It is the
same wood used on many Fender products, and gives the guitara comfortable contour
and good sustain. There is one trademark finish available with this guitar, and that
is stark white with a matching white pickguard. It is nicely glossed, and is very
attractive, even with somewhat stark contrast from the hardware. The neck is
bolted onto the body, and is made of maple wood. Additionally, the neck has a
design termed Wizard II, a specialty of the Ibanez brand. The fretboard, meanwhile,
is made of rosewood. On it are twenty four jumbo frets and specially designed shark
tooth inlays. The bridge of the Ibanez RG350DX is the trademark tremolo. All of the
hardware, including the tuning heads, bridge, and control knobs, is black painted
metal. It is certainly a stark contrast to the white glossed finish, but manages to work
nicely. Electronically, the Ibanez RG350DX is pretty unique. It has three Ibanez

from adolescents to maturity of the main character in the novel. The books, A
Separate Piece and Great Expectations, trace their respective main characters from
adolescents to maturity. The characters of Gene and Pip have many similarities, such
as their personalities, and differences, such as how they deal with their desires,
throughout the stories. A Separate Peace talks about how jealousy can influence even
the best of companions, and how a seemingly unimportant poor decision can have
extreme outcomes. It is a story about Gene finding himself and facing his own
feelings. Gene was always at the top of his class. He went into Devon School thinking

Comparing Rheya And The Ocean
In Hawkins s essay, she writes about how Kelvin planned to establish a link
between the most powerful emotions despair, grief and pleasure and the electrical
discharges from the ocean (Hawkins). The ocean s electrical discharges are similar
to the electrical charges from our brains that occur when we feel emotions. The
ocean could sense those feelings, specifically, the strongly repressed ones. When an
emotion is not released and is contained, it becomes repressed. The ocean made
physical recreations of these emotions because it thought that was how it could
communicate with the humans. The first time Kelvin meets him, Snow is drunk.
This is a sign of repressed emotions. Each time he drinks, it is most likely to provide

He feels guilty because he knows that he is the reason that she killed herself back
on Earth. The guilt he felt was always there, it was just repressed. Now, Rheya
serves as a constant reminder of what he did. Unlike the original Rheya, this Rheya
is unbelievably strong and intolerably dependent. Rheya is a metaphor for guilt.
She represents how strongly it can affect someone and how it is continually there.
He tries to send her away, but one can never really get rid of their guilt. Launching
Rheya into space is only an inconvenience that delays her for a short time. He
thinks he might love Rheya and promises to go back to Earth with her. However,
this proclamation of love is just another repressed emotion. When you are
suffering from repressed emotions, your actions are based off of your reactions to
the past as well as the present. He remembers how he loved Rheya and he thinks
that he can love this Rheya the same way. However, he cannot love this Rheya
because he does not understand her. Rheya does not understand herself either. She
cannot comprehend who or what she is, because she is a creation of the ocean.
The ocean did not realize the affect emotions have and how Rheya s love for
Kelvin would drive her to suicide. She signs her suicide note as Rheya, but then she
crosses it out. This is because the identity she has been given is Rheya, but she is
only a copy. She is not the original, the real Rheya. Her
Social Stratification In A Christmas Carol Essay
History is composed of countless periods of time that are defined by a variety of
characteristics and breakthroughs. Understanding multiple periods of history can be
facilitated by means of literary supplements. There are instances of explaining history
by means of literature, such as in Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol. Charles
Dickensdescribes and explains the social stratification in Britain in A Christmas Carol
by using the setting and environment within the film as well as clearly contrasting the
lives of Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, and Fred. The story of A Christmas Carol
takes place during the Industrial Revolution in Britain. Industrialization brought
many opportunities for the wealthy and the middle class to progress and grow in in
society. However, these opportunities locked the poor and working class in a state of
poverty and harsh working and living conditions. The intense social stratification
roots from the forces that allowed Britain to be the center of the Industrial
Revolution. Britain s laissez faire government supported the independent capital
decisions the wealthy could make; therefore, the individuals who could afford to
invest in the production and growth of the factories, did. As factory production grew,
the more stable the economy got. With a steady economy, the wealthy was able to
stay at the top of society. Ebenezer Scrooge, the film s main protagonist, was a
member of the wealthy, upper class.

Colony Collapse Disorder Essay

bees around the U.S are slowly and puzzlingly disappearing. This slow
disappearance of the honey bee population is caused by a disorder known as
Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD.) Colony Collapse Disorder causes adult honey
bees to completely vanish leaving behind only the queen bee along with immature
bees. Although this disease is receiving a lot of attention and research on CCD is
taking place, the causes and treatments for Colony Collapse Disorder are still
undefinable as well. Some may ask, Who cares? Why is it important that bees are
disappearing? It is important because bees are the foundation to U.S agricultureand
they are vital to worldwide economic stability which is why finding the cause and
treatment for CCD is a top priority for scientists and researchers around the world. As

CCD could potentially hurt the farm production of America. These insects play a
role in the production of crops by cross pollination and according to the United
States Department of Agriculture, 1/3 of our food from each meal comes from
honey bees. The pollination performed by honey bees is a contributing factor to
the growth of crops and without them, produce would plummet a large deal and
farmers would be forced to pay for services equivalent to what the honey bees
preform. The more money farmers must spend to raise crops that the bees do not
pollinate, the more money the public must spend for produce. The American
population ought to concern themselves with this syndrome if they are not
interested in spending a flamboyant amout of $10 or more for berries. The increase
of Colony Collapse Disorder is also an increase for the chance of the collapse of
John Venn Essay
Life of John Venn John Venn was born on August 4, 1834, in Hull, England. His
parents were Martha Sykes and Reverend Henry Venn. Unfortunately, Venn s
mother died when he was only three years old. Venn was brought up in a very
strict home. His father had played a significant part in the Evangelical movement
and he was also the secretary of the Society for Missions to Africa and the East.
Venn started his education at Highgate with his brother Henry in September 1846.
He later moved to Islington proprietary school. He later earned his degree in
mathematics in 1857 from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. Having earned
a fellowship there as well, Venn would establish a long term career at his alma
mater, becoming a lecturer in 1862 and being appointed college president. He
maintained that position for life. In 1859, following after his father s religious
tradition, Venn was ordained as a priest for the Church of England and did religious
work for a short time before returning to Caius College . In 1868, he married
Susanna Carnegie Edmonstone with whom he had one son, John Archibald Venn. He
eventually resigned from the clergy in 1883, because Anglicanism was incompatible
with his philosophical beliefs. But he still remained involved in the church. His most
famous accomplishment was in 1866, writing The Logic of Chance, a
groundbreaking book that explained the frequency theory of probability. The Logic of
Chance offered that probability should be determined by how often
Relationships In Oedipus Rex And The Importance Of
Being...
The relationship between a parent and a child is very important. It is critical to the
health and well being of the child and the overall happiness of the family. Most
parent and child relationships follow the same prototype of the parent caring for the
child. This continues until they are able to take care of themselves and even after it
ends, love and support is still shown from the parent. However, the parent and child
relationships in OedipusRex and the Importance of Being Earnest differ from this
common theme. The relationships seen in these plays are complicated and
oppressive. From the surface, Lady Bracknell and Gwendolen seem to have a
typical mother daughter relationship. But as the play progresses we see that this is
not at all the case. Lady Bracknell is a narrow minded and authoritarian type mother.
Because of this she is very protective when it comes to her daughter. She believes
that since she married well, her daughter deserves the same. Her idea of marriage
includes the attainment of social security and property. In her mind it has nothing
to do with love or passion. Gwendolen, however, wants to make her own decisions
and live her life as she pleases, not having to worry about whether or not her
mother will approve. She is intellectual sophisticated, and cosmopolitan. The
overprotectiveness from her mother is first seen when list of eligible men are
mentioned. This list is composed by Lady Bracknell herself and includes the names
of all the men who she believes are good and worthy enough to be with her daughter.
With this list is a set of interview questions about a variety of topics ranging from his
smoking habits to his familyorigins. This is her way of manipulating the situation
and getting it to turn out the way that she wants it to. Lady Bracknell was born into
the lower class but was a social climber who was determined on marrying into the
aristocracy, which is exactly what she did. She wants her daughter to be able to do
the same. She even goes as far as to tell Gwendolen that she is not engaged until her
mother or father informs her that she is. Even after all this pressure and control
coming from her mother Gwendolen decides to rebel. Gwendolen is sure she wants
to marry the man

Furthermore, the premium rate you are quoted at 35 will be the premium you will
pay when you are 65! Unless of course, you have purchased a policy that is designed
to be paid up over a period of years. This is a great benefit. You can pay up your
coverage over a period of years, usually ten or twenty, and then have the satisfaction
of knowing that your life is covered forever!
On the other hand, some term policies do not guarantee that rates will remain level
through the whole term. To guarantee that rate, you could have to buy an extra
rider, and all of a sudden, that policy is not as cheap as it looked like before. If you
do not make sure the premium will remain level, and you do not buy the rider, you
could find your rates increased after five years. With a term policy, you will either
have to accept the higher premium or lose the policy, with nothing to show for the
years you did pay on it.
Another advantage of permanent coverage is that it can actually be used as an
asset. When you build up cash value, you can borrow against that value. You can
even choose to cash your policy in for the value. Of course, then you could be left
without life insurance, but at least you will have some cash back for the premiums
you put in. If you have a permanent policy, you can even choose to sell the face
value of the life insurance policy in many states. The purchaser will continue making
payments on the policy if it needs to be kept in force, but will pay a cash
Analysis Of Nelson Goodman s New Riddle Of Induction
Throughout this paper, I will simplify and explain Nelson Goodman s take with
the problem of induction. Nevertheless, a concept known as PUN, if proven true,
has been asserted by many philosophers to be the answer to such problem.
However, this is where I will introduce and clarify upon Goodman s New Riddle of
Induction and its claim that PUN by itself is not enough to act as a solution for
this case. For starters, the problem is not that we know for sure that something is
going to happen, that is the case for deductive arguments. Instead, the problem in
simple terms is that it is not justifiable like that of deductive arguments. What I
mean by this is, in deduction, if the premises are true then the conclusion must be
true, yet the same cannot be said for induction because it relies on predicting what
is going to happen based on the premises. However, we have to acknowledge this
for what it is, and instead come up with a way that proves that the premises in
induction add support to the conclusion. The problem is how exactly is that
possible if nowhere does it say what happens in the past will happen again in the
future. Which now brings us to PUN or the Principle of Uniformity of Nature that
exactly states that instances in the future are going to look like instances in the
past. Voila! Since PUN offers a state of uniformity in the world, it works as the link
that is necessary for us to make predictions about the future based solely upon what
happen in the past. For example, if all observed emeralds are green, according to
PUN, I can say that all unobserved emeralds will be green also. Although this may
possibly be true, according to Goodman, it simply is not enough to solve the
problem as there is a New Riddle of Induction. Moreover, Goodman s main concern
with PUN is that it is vacuously true, which essentially means that it is true no
matter how the world is. Nevertheless, in order for Goodman to refute PUN, he
focuses on a thought experiment that puts green up against a new predicate known
as grue. Now one must think as grue as a combination between green and blue, but
basically an object is grue if it is first observed before the year 2050, and green, or if
it is not observed before 2050, and blue.
Essay on The Correlation Between Homework and
Academic...
Ample research has been done on the correlation between homework and academic
success with many opposing views. Research has shown that homework can be linked
to better grades, improved standardized test scores, and more prepared students
entering the post secondary arena; however, this correlation is weak and the
opposition has equal ammunition to support that there is no correlation between
homeworkand academic success. There have been movements to abolish homework
as well as movements to increase homework. Research has been done to show how
homework has a negative effect on students as well as how it has a positive effect.
Homework may be beneficial to academic success, but must have meaning to the

In 1957 Russia launched Sputnik and America believed the education system had
become too progressive and children needed to do more homework to compete in
the global arena. School districts have various policies on homework and how much
is required by grade level with elementary schools currently having the highest levels
(The History of Homework: Purpose Over Pain).
Homework, longer school days, a longer school year, better teachers, higher standards,
better test, and on and on it goes. America s education system is falling behind in the
world arena. Other countries are producing students with more knowledge in math,
technology, science and everything else. In 1983 the Department of Education
released a report focused on improving academic achievement. A Nation At Risk,
stated, Our society and its educational institutions seem to have lost sight of the basic
purposes of schooling, and of the high expectations and disciplined effort needed to
attain them. The recommendations in the 1983 report included increased homework
for high school students, teaching effective study and work skills, and longer school
days. Twenty five years later the Department of Education reviewed the outcome of
the 1983 recommendations. Harris Cooper defines homework as any task assigned by
schoolteachers intended for students to carry out during non school hours (Cooper,
Robinson, Patall, 2006). Xu Yuan found that students,
The Use Of Anesthesia For Childbirth
1. Explain why there were objections to the use of anesthesia for childbirth in the
early years of our profession. How have things changed over the years? Do you agree
with the changes?
During the middle 19th century, little information was known about pregnancy
involving the uterus, while in labor, and the importance of labor pain. The study of
pain was in it s infancy. The connection between specific areas of the brain with
different purposes correlated to particular receptors for painful stimuli was not well
studied or understood. Physicians during this time thought that the administration of
anesthesia may pose a safety issue and could be extremely dangerous, possible

There has been a link that relates increased relaxin levels to the incidence of back
pain. As pregnancy continues lumbar lordosis occurs causing the shoulders to slump
and anterior flexion of the neck, leading to meralgia paresthetica and brachial plexus
neuropathy. This can stretch the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve which can cause
meralgia paresthetica, having sensory loss over the anterolateral thighs. The
sacroiliac, sacroiliac, sacrococcygeal, and public joints have increased mobility in
preparation for delivery. The pubic symphysis becomes wider to facilitate delivery.
Carpal tunnel syndrome can occur possibly due to relaxin levels increasing altering
connective tissue and absorbing more fluid. In general, the parturient must increase
calcium levels to meet the demand required by the fetus (Chestnut, et al., 2014, pp.

Winning And Loosing By Paul Galdone
Winning and Loosing
Just like any other character developed by a child, nature and nurture are significant
factors in reading and writing habits.Research shows that attitude towards reading and
writing cultivated early can largely affect the ability of children to express themselves
through writing. In most cases, children sfirst encounter with books is bedtime
stories from their parents. My journey of reading and writing was a rollercoaster. A
story of battles, some won others lost.
The best memory I have of a book is reading andcomprehending the tale of The Three
Little Pigs by Paul Galdone. I gained insight about wisdom from the choices made by
the three pigs. It was among the first books I borrowed from our local library. For
me, reading this book was similar to a hard earned dollar. The significance of this
novel was freedom. Moreover, it was the first book the librarian let me pick out for
myself. The story was fascinating that I found myself acting it out alone. Reading
and writing was never easy for me. The fear of coming across a new word
traumatized me.
My major worry was the inability to pronounce a new word especially in front of
an audience. Writing was not easy either and even the competition for reading and
writing in my class was high. The first time I was able to spell my name was the
significant writing accomplishment mainly because I had to write it thrice before I
got it right.
My inspiration for reading and writing is my mother. She is an avid
Bulimia Symptoms And Treatments Of Bulimia
Bulimia Have you ever looked at the cover of a magazine and seen a beautiful
woman that just looked so thin, and thought How in the world did she get that
way? Well like me I m sure millions of girls have wondered the same thing. Many of
them becoming self conscious, what with our society placing so much emphasis
on being thin in order to be attractive. But how thin is too thin? Many girls in this
country use some kind of diet or exercise plan but, others take it too far. Bulimia is
exactly what taking it to far means. Have you ever met someone who always leaves
to go to the bathroom after they finish eating? Perhaps, when they were eating they
eat way more then was necessary almost to the point of it being excessive. Maybe
this person you know has anxiety, depression, or a poor body image. These are all
signs that a person may have Bulimia. ( Bulimia Symptoms and Effects. Bulimia.
N.p., n.d. Web. 20 Oct. 2015.) Bulimia is a psychological disorder where a person
alternates between bingeing and purging their food. Not to be confused with
Anorexia which is another psychological disorder where an individual is so afraid
of being fat that they eat an unhealthily low amount of food or just don t eat at all.
(Grison, Sarah, Todd F. Heatherton, and Michael S. Gazzaniga. Chapter 10.

starts off with an obsession with body image and diet. The individual will then begin

Informative Essay On Curveballs
Have you ever wondered whether or not a curveball is good to throw. I ve played
baseball for many years now and my coaches always said Don t throw curveballs.
As the years progressed more and more kids on different teams started to throw
curveballs. I want to find out the science and physics of the curveball, the effects
on the arm from a curveball, and if curveballs can even help your pitching. If I
would want to throw curveballs some day I should find this out. Are curveballs
good to throw? We need to know about how a curveball actually moves before we
can learn about its effects on the arm. The movement of a curveball is based off of
these two theories: the Bernoulli principle and the Magnus effect. The Bernoulli
principle is where a spinning ball creates a slower airspeed over the ball and a
faster airspeed on the bottom. This creates a difference of pressures from top to
bottom where the high pressure on top flows towards the low pressure on the bottom

the curveball played a substantial role in baseball, and the curveball helped pitchers

The Demand And Supply Analysis
Introduction: The most important tool in microeconomics is the demand and
supply analysis. Demand refers to the amount of the product which is desired by
the purchaser at a certain price level where as the supply of the product represents
the amount of quantity that is supplied in the market at a certain level of price.
There are different factors on which demand is dependent. Apart from the price of
the product, the demand depends upon the income, the number of consumers,
preferences of the consumers and income of the consumers. The supply of the
product depends upon the price of the product, future expectation of the prices and
price of the factors of production (Colander 2013). Resources availability is
limited in the country so there is a need to observe the demand and supply so that
the resources are not exhausted. The demand and supply mechanism is analyzed
before getting into a detailed discussion upon the demand and supply of human
resources and iron ore resources in the Australian economy. Several newspaper
articles has been collected showing the demand for the skills in the state of
Queensland and the supply iron ore has dropped in respect of the increase in global
supply more than the demand. Mechanism of Demand and Supply: When the other
factors, which are seen to affect the demand for the product is constant then a rise in
the price of the product, will lead to fall and when there is fall in the prices then
there will be an increase in the demand. There is
Whitewater West Industries CAse Study
Executive Summary
Geoffrey Chutter, owner of Whitewater Industries, has to relocate his fiberglass
moulding business to one of three locations he has in mind due to the need for
expansion, complaints of residents nearby the factory while he keeps in mind the
importance of his aspects of operating systems. This new factory must at least be
6040 square meters and be in an area with zoning regulations that allow for fiberglass
production
Whitewater West Industries has three proposed new locations; [1] the spacious
Hiram Walker plant in Kelowna that needs some land renovations, [2] a complete
new build that would result in a perfect building, or [3] a location in Abbotsford that
has potential to expand business into many major cities. ... Show more content on

Quantity: This aspect is important to note when relocating to ensure that the size of
the plant will have enough room to incorporate any of the current equipment to
maintain the same standard of quality, as well as purchasing new equipment with the
intention of helping the company expand and increase their sales. A lack of sufficient
space to meet demands may result in a loss of revenue.
Price:Price of the products is not really a factor in this relocation, however the
company should do its best to keep the total cost of the move within the budget of the
company so the price of their fiberglass products does not rise, and potentially losing
customers.
Alternative Analysis Whitewater West Industries has three possible relocation
options to consider:
Kelowna Hiram Walker Plant
The Hiram Walker plant is located only 25 kilometers from Kelowna and is the
most spacious facility of all three options and will allow them to keep their current
workforce. Zoning has already been approved to produce fiberglass since there are
no residential buildings right beside the land this would also solve the problem of
residents complaining of the odour coming from the plant. The plant is located
close to a major highway so naturally the ease of shipping and receiving products
would be increased because of the proximity to major transportation routes. The
building is also fire safe, creating a safer workplace for the staff at WhiteWater West
A Historical Perspective And Classification Of Obpp
Introduction
A historical perspective and classification of OBPP was first described by the
Scottish obstetrician William Smellie in an article for midwives in 1764 [1] He
documented the observation of resolution of bilateral upper extremity paralysis in a
child with face presentation at birth. Danyau performed an autopsy of a newborn
with brachial plexus palsy in 1851, providing the first anatomic description of this
lesion.[2] but classic description of shoulder paralysis, internal rotation contracture
and waiter s tip deformity was given by Erb in 1874 as cited by Gilbert A et al.
[3,4]. Duchenne and Balliere and Erb described cases of upper trunk nerve injury,
attributing the findings to traction on the upper trunk, now called Erb s palsy (or
Duchenne Erb s palsy).[5] In 1885, the French neurologist Augusta Klumpke [6]
described the clinical picture of OBPP affecting the lower plexus trunk at C8 Th1,
leading to paralysis of the muscles of the hand and ipsilateral pupillary dilatation,
called Horners sign. Therefore, OBPP affecting the lower trunk is often referred to
as Klumpkes palsy. OBPP diagnosed at birth is defined into three groups in
accordance with the International Classification of Diseases :
P 14.0 Erbs palsy caused by injury at delivery
P 14.1 Klumpkes palsy caused by injury at delivery
P 14.3 Other injury of the brachial plexus at delivery
P 14.0 and P 14.1 are the most common diagnoses. P 14.3 is rarely used and seems to
be applied in cases with
The Skeleton War Analysis
Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away, in North Dakota, there is an annual
event that only people on Tumblr know about: The Skeleton War, the fight between
the skeletons and the Boys. The skeletons are a peaceful tribe of the undead whose
only rival are the Boys. The Boys are a group of highschool boys that claim to be a
group of individuals but look like clones with their white line haircut, their Nike
sweatshirts, their khakis, and their way too expensive shoes.
The Boys are most powerful during the summer, when they don t have to go to
school and can snapchat as many girls as they want. The Boys are almost universally
hated due to the fact that their egos are the size of Texas. The skeletons only wake
up from their peaceful undead ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It went as expected. The skeletons were keeping the Boys from gaining any more
ground and it seemed like they were perfectly matched against each other. Kelly
considered apologizing to his superiors for being overly suspicious and disrespectful
for not considering their wisdom and expertise in the art of fighting the skeleton war.
After a lot of thought, Kelly decided to apologize for his behavior the next day when
he gave his daily report on Boy activities.
The next day, Kelly went to spy on the Boys and saw nothing unusual. He walked
slowly to his superior s office, thinking of how he was going to apologise to them.
Was he going to apologise then give the report or report then apologise? He didn t
know. As he was walking towards the office, Kelly heard a loud bang. He whirled
around and saw a giant wall of thick, black, smoke speeding towards him. Kelly
turned around and took off towards his superiors office, hoping that he could outrun
the smoke. Realizing that he probably wouldn t make into a building, Kelly ran and
hid in an alley nearby.
The smoke rushed through everything, covering it all in black dust. Once the dust
cleared, Kelly saw The Boys approach the building that housed their most powerful
opposition. The Boys were fully prepared to fight and seemed to have planned this
out. Kelly watched from his hiding place as The Boys walked into the

  • 2. Walking Survey Report Upon conducting the survey, the main population, which was interviewed was of Hispanic descent. According to New York City (n.d.), Inwood is made up of a large community of Hispanics and Latinos, approximately 75% of the residents in this area are of this ethnic background. A walking survey was conducted of the elementary school area, which is located in a park that is surrounded by the Harlem River and a stretch of the Harlem River drive. The elementary school is also located within a short distance to the highways, where there are many automobiles that account for added air pollution and exposure. According to Google Maps (n.d.), the school is approximately 113.11 ft. (34.48 m) from the Harlem River Drive. A walking survey was also conducted of the area outside the studied area, where we observed a sanitation depot located on 215th Street and 10th Avenue, as well as, a bus depot, which located on 10th Avenue between 216th Street and 218th Street. If these vehicles use the Harlem River Drive as their main access into and out of the neighborhood, this can greatly contribute to air pollution in the surveyed area, as well as, the emissions from

  • 7. The Leadership Practice Of A Nursing Student As a nursing student, I have had great success forming therapeutic relationships with my clients and have received positive feedback from clinical instructors about my patient communication. However, I experience uncertainty when interacting with peers or colleagues. My lack of confidence translates into difficulty forming effective professional relationships. This assessment is reflected in my Clinical Leadership Survey as a deficit in the leadership practice of Encouraging the Heart. This practice includes behaviors such as recognizing contributions, celebrating accomplishments, and providing feedback (Patrick, Laschinger, Finegan, and Wong, 2011). The results of my baseline survey support the theory that my weakness is in interprofessional communication. Alternatively however, I recorded equal strength of fourteen out of fifteen in the other four leadership practices. Each of these four practices incorporates an element of Emotional Intelligence and reflective practice. Based on my clinical experiences and feedback from instructors, I agree with these results and can identify that interprofessional communication is the skill I must develop to become an effective leader. Personal Strategies Over the Term Throughout this semester, I worked through the Unfreeze and Move stages of Lewin s Force Field Model for change. Similar to the Assessment and Planning steps of the Nursing Process, the Unfreezing stage occurs when the individual identifies a need for change (Kelly
  • 8. The Relationship Between Central African Franc And France... Lowrey (1995) supports the fact that there is a theoretical relationship between the Central African Franc (CFA) and France s inflation rates, and that the CFA members monetary policies are, in effect, still determined by France. In the case of French economic aid, various scholars demonstrate how this has traditionally been deployed to maintain influence and power in Africa. As noted above, Cumming (2001) has written extensively about political conditionality as something that the recipient country had to do prior to receiving French aid. Others such as Olsen (2001) also questions the impact of public opinion on the setting up of French ODA. Others still focus on cultural assistance (Andereggen 1994Нѕ Kanu 2007), as culture represents an essential and integral part of any country s diplomacy. For example, Andereggen (1994) stresses the cultural side of this relationship through the promotion of instruments such as the Alliances FranГ§aises and the Centres Culturels FranГ§ais, which ceased to exist after 2011 and were replaced by the Instituts FranГ§ais. Some authors highlight more coercive tools such as political conditionality (Crawford 1997Нѕ Cumming 2001). Cumming also details civil society building aid programmes and is less acerbic and explores France s attempts to bolster the efforts of French and Cameroonian civil society actors. Ultimately, he however recognises that the French state has not been willing to jeopardise its own interests in the stability of the

According to Barthes statement from the essay History or Literature? in on Racine, proves the above mentioned argument, in which he initially assumed that text is a grave of author when text came out, then the reader was born which is also stated in the the Death of the Author , then Barthes criticised that old critic considered author genius meaning that the creator is so sophisticated. He also signified another fact about classic thinkers that they disregarded the history of the writer which left nothing to the writer since history shaped gracious literary aspect of the writer, if they are emptied from them, then writer will stay just as sculptor which can ultimately be defined as a valueless object, the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Foucault s essay tended to dismiss the author from his position with respect to analyse the texts while Barthes granted all the interpretative responsibly to the reader. Both theorists apprehended the notion of author has no authority in directing the interpretation of their writings. Foucault, in his essay What Is an Author? argues that the critics should not evaluate the text in relation with its author, instead, they should analyse the text itself in the light of the its structure, basic form and its design architecture. His brief description of author is just a discursive person. Foucault commented on himself in his essay for being focused on a specific subject, he justifies that it is not because they were interesting to him but because the subject may have something to do his personal life. He affirms that his experience with the things that surround him would help him better recognize or understand them when he does any theoretical work (Mills, 11). Foucault interlinks author and work , in way that author s text is counted as his work thus he argues that if author is
  • 10. Review Of Nicolo And Maffeo Polo In 1260, Nicolo and Maffeo Polo set forth on their first journey to the East. After traveling from the East to the land of the Tartar they reached the Kublai Khan court. The Khan questioned them about the Catholic faith and asked them to return to Europe and request the pope to send missionaries. However, when the two explorers returned they learned that Pope Clement was dead. After that discovery they also revealed Nicolo s wife had died while giving birth to a son, who is now in his teenage years. After the passing of the Pope there was a long delay in naming a new one. In 1271, Marco Poloset forth navigating across exotic lands with his father and uncle on a journey that lasted several years. Marco Polo discovered trade and religion that has brought the world together today. The beginning of their journey led to them being accepted into the Kublai KhanCourt. This journey took place across deserts, mountains, and seas in East Asia, continuing along the Silk Road, and through regions that were unknown to the Western World. Also, they had many encounters with creatures, plants, and humans from different cultures. Through acceptance and service, Marco Polo was led to places far away that were rich of gems, gold, and silk. Yet, when participating in a military conflict in 1298 he was taken captive. Marco Polo, the son of a Venetian merchant and traveler, has become one of the most famous European travelers because of the documentation of his journey. Marco Polo

The sports apparel industry is perceived to be a difficult industry to enter. The high degree of competiveness and the need of innovating thinking are undeniable. In addition, several incumbents have reached large scale production and as a result it will be expensive for new entrants to fight for market share. Many of the producers use famous athletes to front their products. The market powers of such athletes are priceless and help boost their sales. With regard to the financial crisis, looking at profitability ratios and sales, it is visible that the industry and the companies competing in the industry suffered in the sense that their sales decreased compared to previous years. However, due to the FIFA world cup in 2010, their sales numbers where extremely well compared to sales numbers from 2009. The reason for comparing Puma and not Nike, are due to different fiscal years. Nike Inc ends their fiscal year in May, and both Adidas A and Puma end their fiscal years in December. Comparing Adidas A to Nike could generate bias estimates and there would not be possible to compare fiscal year 2010. Due to the financial crisis in 2009, it
  • 12. Water Density Lab Density is the measurement of an object that has a relative mass and is divided by a specific volume. Mass is the amount of matter an object possesses. Volume is the amount of space of an object occupies (solid, liquid or gas.) In chemistry the term density can be described as a physical and intensive property of matter. The term intensive property means, it is independent on the size and amount of a substance. Many chemist compare different types of densities of elements and substance with water. Densitycan be either expressed as (g/mL) for liquids, (g/cm3) for solids, and grams per liter (g/L) for gases. (Ch. 7 Notes, Dr. Binz, Lindenwood University, 2015.) It can be calculated by determining the average mass and average volume of the known and unknown zodiaq quartz. A new method that was learned from doing the experiment was being able to measure mass and volume which later helps scientist identify a either a new complete substance or even just an unordinary substance. The percent error in this experiment was roughly under six percent, which was appropriate in this experiment. One reason for high percent error was when the mass was being measured, the scale was need to be zeroed. Once it was zeroed, the scale must be completely motionless. So the mass of the weight could have been measure when the scale was not still, which meant it was not accurately zeroed. The final reason for the high percent error was when the object was placed on the weight, the table was begin to shake due to others surrounding the table. This could have created issues, when zeroing the scale at the beginning, and when trying to find the exact mass of the object. The table was not perfectly still, so this could have been an issue when determining the mass for each

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The main deities of the Hindu religion are Brahma and his two lieutenants named Shiva and Vishnu. The god Vishnu is the creator, and Shiva is the destroyer. One is not looked upon as better than the other. This shows the ultimate realism that the Hindu culture possesses. These are not the only gods in Hindu culture. There are many others and all have special skills and talents. The gods themselves also give birth to the idea of avatars, or the form of god when he or she comes to earth. Perhaps the most important part of the philosophy of a religion lay in its path to enlightenment. The main ideas of enlightenment come through the Four Ends of Life. The first of these ends is Moksa. Moksa could be considered the realization of separation between the spiritual self and the physical self. It is only through this realization that one can be released from the mortal coil and allowed to spiritual liberty. It is through Moska that the Hindu follower becomes familiar with the existence of the spiritual world. The second of the Four Ends of life is Kama. This end says that we must pass through life in an ethical manner that brings about the most from life. This includes learning its great values as well as experiencing its enjoyments. This protects the Hindu follower from shutting out the physical world entirely. Artha is the third end and it deals with wealth and material well being. It explains that
  • 16. Gaap Earnings Vs Non Gaap Lately, it is becoming more and more common for companies to report their financials using Non GAAP earnings. A non GAAP financial measure is a numerical measure of an issuer s historical or future financial performance, financial position, or cash flow that excludes amounts that are found in GAAP financials (SEC, 2002). Non GAAPearnings are an alternative way of reporting the performance of a company as opposed to GAAP earnings. Many companies often reportnon GAAP earnings alongside the required GAAP earnings. They claim that non GAAP earnings more accurately depicts what the company is going through and precisely shows their financials. A few common examples of non GAAP earnings are pro forma earnings, cash earnings, operating earnings, and EBITA (SEC, 2002). Pro forma refers to earnings, which exclude non recurring items (SEC, 2001). It is regularly found that technology startups are responsible for a lot of the use of non GAAP earnings because these corporations remove certain items like taxes in their non GAAP accounting to turn loss into profit (Young 2013). Because of the lack of standardization and the potential for creative accounting, it makes it difficult to draw relevant comparisons among companies or draw meaningful information from these statistics. These reasons alone make the SEC and investors very weary about the implementation of it. An example of a company that uses non GAAP earnings is Macy s. Being such a large company to report their

  • 22. David Lewis s New Work For A Theory Of Universals One consequence of viewing ontology and identity as relative is that properties and universals hardly seem much more problematic. Although universals obviously do not exist on a fundamental level, I think both David Lewis and David Armstrong provide helpful suggestions on the scope of universals in practical discourse. While David Lewis s essay New Work for a Theory of Universals (1983) is quite extensive in its scope and insight, I only wish to draw attention to his reasoning about the scope of universals. Lewis makes a more radical distinction between property and universal than most philosophers. Lewis defines the word property very broadly: an object has a property by virtue of being a member of a set, so there are as many properties as there are sets. Given that Lewis is a realist about both set theory and possible worlds, he must recognize a vast and exotic array of properties. There is a property of fuzzy redness and non square largeness as much as there is a property of redness, both being sets. Obviously not everything that is designated a property can claim the status of universal. Only those properties that can be wholly present in multiple locations are candidates for being universals. Among these, those given by empirical science (natural properties) make the final cut and are crowned as universals. In Universals as Attributes, Armstrong grants that universals exist but denies that they can exist as uninstantiated abstractions. Rather, he

The environment of Blade Runneris a dystopic world by where the audiences observe the political implication of Blade Runner society and the exhaustion of modern ideologies. In Blade Runner, the replicants are a form of living mirror of ourselves. In the opening scene of Blade Runner, the audiences see a close up of an eye reflecting the incredible landscape of the city. The eye motif recurs throughout the film, and argues that the image of eye plays an important role in the story: the Voight Kampf test eliciting an emotional response to identify whether an entity is a human or a replicant; the replicants searching a way to the Tyrell Corporationand interrogating an engineer of replicants, Tyrell; and the leader of replicants, playing with artificial eyes when becoming a friend with the genetic designer and, takes out the eyes of Tyrell when he was informed that his life cannot be extended (Dienstag 2015). • 24. The Death Penalty Sentence For Juvenile Offenders The death penalty sentence for juvenile offenders is an intense issue that creates polarizing ongoing debates. An example of a case needing scrutiny is the Supreme Court of the United States decision in Roper v. Simmons, where the decision was made by one vote difference. In this case, however, the situation was complex, as the defendant was under the age of 18. So, based on the decision made by the court, I believe the case was decided properly based on the Legal Realism theory. I agree with the idea that the death penalty for juveniles is unconstitutional and cruel, the same way it is for an adult. It should not be applied for capital crimes, although murder should receive a serious punishment for public safety, unless the case was an accident, or defending something you hold dear or self defense. The 8th Amendment prohibits the federal government from imposing excessive bail, excessive fines or cruel and unusual punishment which are the most quoted reasons to abolish the death penalty with the 14th amendment s due process clause. It might be agreeable that murder can be justified if something threatens your survival you will do what it takes to survive, especially in these days of mass shootings and mass murderers in public places. Catching someone in the act of physical or sexual abuse of another is also a point of contention when discussing the justification of murder. If a child is a victim of abuse and kills their abuser, how do we adjudicate that child? After

The NHRA used their safety safari to go all over the country to hot rod races, teaching them everything from selling tickets to the safety of racing the hot rods. I think that this really helped racing take off. These people have now learned how to make the sport safer and gain money in order to proceed with their passion for racing. This also helped the racers gain sponsors such as Coca Cola and Pepsi. Racing relies off of sponsors now. There has been so many technological advancements in racing, that not the average person can afford to go out and be competitive enough to win without help. More commonly these authors both referred wrote Biblical references in many of their pieces. Dante referred back to the Bible when writing his Inferno. He not only takes the reader on a journey into the different levels of Hell but he also uses Biblical references to help the reader better understand the different levels of Hell. The Synthesis Of Gold Nanoparticles Abstract: In this study, we report a convenient, simple, economically viable and eco friendly method for the synthesis of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with carboxymethyl gum kodagogu (CMGK). Carboxymethyl gum kondagogu is a nontoxic and renewable. It is used as reducing, stabilizing and capping agent for the synthesis of AuNPs without using any chemical reducing agent. The effect of various parameters such as concentration of HAuCl4 and CMKG and reaction time for the synthesis of AuNPs was studying. The green synthesized AuNPs were characterized by UVв€’vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X ray diffraction techniques. The resultant CMGK capped AuNPs are extremely stable and had significant antibacterial action on both Bacillus subtilis (B.subtilis) and Escherichia coli (E. coli). The catalytic activity of the CMGK capped AuNPs was studied the reduction of 4 nitrophenol (4 NP) to 4 Amino phenol (4 AP) in the presence of NaBH4. With respect to the 4 NP the kinetics of the reaction were found to be a pseudo first order. Key Words: Gold nanoparticles, carboxymethyl gum kondagogu, Catalytic activity, Antibacterial activity, Nanomaterials. Since the company itself is founded and based in Japan, there is often lower prices for manufacturing. With this advantage, Ibanez can produce some very high quality instruments at prices that won t break the bank. One example of these guitars is the Ibanez RG350DX. Let s take a closer to see if it lives it up to Ibanez s trademark value. Features: The body of the Ibanez RG350DX is, like most of its mid range instruments, made of basswood. It is the same wood used on many Fender products, and gives the guitara comfortable contour and good sustain. There is one trademark finish available with this guitar, and that is stark white with a matching white pickguard. It is nicely glossed, and is very attractive, even with somewhat stark contrast from the hardware. The neck is bolted onto the body, and is made of maple wood. Additionally, the neck has a design termed Wizard II, a specialty of the Ibanez brand. The fretboard, meanwhile, is made of rosewood. On it are twenty four jumbo frets and specially designed shark tooth inlays. The bridge of the Ibanez RG350DX is the trademark tremolo. All of the hardware, including the tuning heads, bridge, and control knobs, is black painted metal. It is certainly a stark contrast to the white glossed finish, but manages to work nicely. Electronically, the Ibanez RG350DX is pretty unique. It has three Ibanez brand pickups,

The ocean s electrical discharges are similar to the electrical charges from our brains that occur when we feel emotions. The ocean could sense those feelings, specifically, the strongly repressed ones. When an emotion is not released and is contained, it becomes repressed. Understanding multiple periods of history can be facilitated by means of literary supplements. There are instances of explaining history by means of literature, such as in Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol. Charles Dickensdescribes and explains the social stratification in Britain in A Christmas Carol by using the setting and environment within the film as well as clearly contrasting the lives of Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, and Fred. The story of A Christmas Carol takes place during the Industrial Revolution in Britain. Industrialization brought many opportunities for the wealthy and the middle class to progress and grow in in society. Unfortunately, Venn s mother died when he was only three years old. Venn was brought up in a very strict home. His father had played a significant part in the Evangelical movement and he was also the secretary of the Society for Missions to Africa and the East. Venn started his education at Highgate with his brother Henry in September 1846. He later moved to Islington proprietary school. It is critical to the health and well being of the child and the overall happiness of the family. Most parent and child relationships follow the same prototype of the parent caring for the child. This continues until they are able to take care of themselves and even after it ends, love and support is still shown from the parent. However, the parent and child relationships in OedipusRex and the Importance of Being Earnest differ from this common theme. The relationships seen in these plays are complicated and oppressive. From the surface, Lady Bracknell and Gwendolen seem to have a typical mother daughter relationship. But as the play progresses we see that this is not at all the case. Lady Bracknell is a narrow minded and authoritarian type mother. Because of this she is very protective when it comes to her daughter. She believes that since she married well, her daughter deserves the same. Her idea of marriage includes the attainment of social security and property. In her mind it has nothing to do with love or passion. Gwendolen, however, wants to make her own decisions and live her life as she pleases, not having to worry about whether or not her mother will approve. She is intellectual sophisticated, and cosmopolitan. The overprotectiveness from her mother is first seen when list of eligible men are mentioned. This list is composed by Lady Bracknell herself and includes the names of all the men who she believes are good and worthy enough to be with her daughter. With this list is a set of interview questions about a variety of topics ranging from his smoking habits to his familyorigins. This is her way of manipulating the situation and getting it to turn out the way that she wants it to. Lady Bracknell was born into the lower class but was a social climber who was determined on marrying into the aristocracy, which is exactly what she did. She wants her daughter to be able to do the same. She even goes as far as to tell Gwendolen that she is not engaged until her mother or father informs her that she is. Even after all this pressure and control coming from her mother Gwendolen decides to rebel. Gwendolen is sure she wants to marry the man

  • 48. Analysis Of Nelson Goodman s New Riddle Of Induction Throughout this paper, I will simplify and explain Nelson Goodman s take with the problem of induction. Nevertheless, a concept known as PUN, if proven true, has been asserted by many philosophers to be the answer to such problem. However, this is where I will introduce and clarify upon Goodman s New Riddle of Induction and its claim that PUN by itself is not enough to act as a solution for this case. For starters, the problem is not that we know for sure that something is going to happen, that is the case for deductive arguments. Instead, the problem in simple terms is that it is not justifiable like that of deductive arguments. What I mean by this is, in deduction, if the premises are true then the conclusion must be true, yet the same cannot be said for induction because it relies on predicting what is going to happen based on the premises. However, we have to acknowledge this for what it is, and instead come up with a way that proves that the premises in induction add support to the conclusion. The problem is how exactly is that possible if nowhere does it say what happens in the past will happen again in the future. Which now brings us to PUN or the Principle of Uniformity of Nature that exactly states that instances in the future are going to look like instances in the past. Voila! Since PUN offers a state of uniformity in the world, it works as the link that is necessary for us to make predictions about the future based solely upon what happen in the past. For example, if all observed emeralds are green, according to PUN, I can say that all unobserved emeralds will be green also. Although this may possibly be true, according to Goodman, it simply is not enough to solve the problem as there is a New Riddle of Induction. Moreover, Goodman s main concern with PUN is that it is vacuously true, which essentially means that it is true no matter how the world is. Nevertheless, in order for Goodman to refute PUN, he focuses on a thought experiment that puts green up against a new predicate known as grue. Now one must think as grue as a combination between green and blue, but basically an object is grue if it is first observed before the year 2050, and green, or if it is not observed before 2050, and blue.

  • 56. The Demand And Supply Analysis Introduction: The most important tool in microeconomics is the demand and supply analysis. Demand refers to the amount of the product which is desired by the purchaser at a certain price level where as the supply of the product represents the amount of quantity that is supplied in the market at a certain level of price. There are different factors on which demand is dependent. Apart from the price of the product, the demand depends upon the income, the number of consumers, preferences of the consumers and income of the consumers. The supply of the product depends upon the price of the product, future expectation of the prices and price of the factors of production (Colander 2013). Resources availability is limited in the country so there is a need to observe the demand and supply so that the resources are not exhausted. The demand and supply mechanism is analyzed before getting into a detailed discussion upon the demand and supply of human resources and iron ore resources in the Australian economy. Several newspaper articles has been collected showing the demand for the skills in the state of Queensland and the supply iron ore has dropped in respect of the increase in global supply more than the demand. Whitewater West Industries CAse Study Executive Summary Geoffrey Chutter, owner of Whitewater Industries, has to relocate his fiberglass moulding business to one of three locations he has in mind due to the need for expansion, complaints of residents nearby the factory while he keeps in mind the importance of his aspects of operating systems. This new factory must at least be 6040 square meters and be in an area with zoning regulations that allow for fiberglass production Whitewater West Industries has three proposed new locations; [1] the spacious Hiram Walker plant in Kelowna that needs some land renovations, [2] a complete new build that would result in a perfect building, or [3] a location in Abbotsford that has potential to expand business into many major cities. ... Quantity: This aspect is important to note when relocating to ensure that the size of the plant will have enough room to incorporate any of the current equipment to maintain the same standard of quality, as well as purchasing new equipment with the intention of helping the company expand and increase their sales. A lack of sufficient space to meet demands may result in a loss of revenue. Price:Price of the products is not really a factor in this relocation, however the company should do its best to keep the total cost of the move within the budget of the company so the price of their fiberglass products does not rise, and potentially losing customers. Alternative Analysis Whitewater West Industries has three possible relocation options to consider: Kelowna Hiram Walker Plant The Hiram Walker plant is located only 25 kilometers from Kelowna and is the most spacious facility of all three options and will allow them to keep their current workforce. Zoning has already been approved to produce fiberglass since there are no residential buildings right beside the land this would also solve the problem of residents complaining of the odour coming from the plant. The plant is located close to a major highway so naturally the ease of shipping and receiving products would be increased because of the proximity to major transportation routes. The building is also fire safe, creating a safer workplace for the staff at WhiteWater West

A Historical Perspective And Classification Of Obpp Introduction A historical perspective and classification of OBPP was first described by the Scottish obstetrician William Smellie in an article for midwives in 1764 [1] He documented the observation of resolution of bilateral upper extremity paralysis in a child with face presentation at birth. Danyau performed an autopsy of a newborn with brachial plexus palsy in 1851, providing the first anatomic description of this lesion.[2] but classic description of shoulder paralysis, internal rotation contracture and waiter s tip deformity was given by Erb in 1874 as cited by Gilbert A et al. [3,4]. Duchenne and Balliere and Erb described cases of upper trunk nerve injury, attributing the findings to traction on the upper trunk, now called Erb s palsy (or Duchenne Erb s palsy).[5] In 1885, the French neurologist Augusta Klumpke [6] described the clinical picture of OBPP affecting the lower plexus trunk at C8 Th1, leading to paralysis of the muscles of the hand and ipsilateral pupillary dilatation, called Horners sign. Therefore, OBPP affecting the lower trunk is often referred to as Klumpkes palsy. OBPP diagnosed at birth is defined into three groups in accordance with the International Classification of Diseases : P 14.0 Erbs palsy caused by injury at delivery P 14.1 Klumpkes palsy caused by injury at delivery P 14.3 Other injury of the brachial plexus at delivery P 14.0 and P 14.1 are the most common diagnoses. P 14.3 is rarely used and seems to be applied in cases with

The Skeleton War Analysis Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away, in North Dakota, there is an annual event that only people on Tumblr know about: The Skeleton War, the fight between the skeletons and the Boys. The Boys are a group of highschool boys that claim to be a group of individuals but look like clones with their white line haircut, their Nike sweatshirts, their khakis, and their way too expensive shoes. The Boys are most powerful during the summer, when they don t have to go to school and can snapchat as many girls as they want. The Boys are almost universally hated due to the fact that their egos are the size of Texas. The skeletons only wake up from their peaceful undead ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It went as expected. The skeletons were keeping the Boys from gaining any more ground and it seemed like they were perfectly matched against each other. Kelly considered apologizing to his superiors for being overly suspicious and disrespectful for not considering their wisdom and expertise in the art of fighting the skeleton war. After a lot of thought, Kelly decided to apologize for his behavior the next day when he gave his daily report on Boy activities. The next day, Kelly went to spy on the Boys and saw nothing unusual. He walked slowly to his superior s office, thinking of how he was going to apologise to them. Was he going to apologise then give the report or report then apologise? He didn t know. As he was walking towards the office, Kelly heard a loud bang. He whirled around and saw a giant wall of thick, black, smoke speeding towards him. Kelly turned around and took off towards his superiors office, hoping that he could outrun the smoke. Realizing that he probably wouldn t make into a building, Kelly ran and hid in an alley nearby. The smoke rushed through everything, covering it all in black dust. Once the dust cleared, Kelly saw The Boys approach the building that housed their most powerful opposition. The Boys were fully prepared to fight and seemed to have planned this out. Kelly watched from his hiding place as The Boys walked into the
