Global Positioning System ( Gps )
Global Positioning System (GPS) is a network of orbiting satellites that send precise details of
their position in space back to earth. The technology was invented by the U.S. Department of
Defense, Ivan Getting, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Gray 4). GPS is well known
for its military applications and was first used by the U.S. to aid in its global intelligence efforts
during the Cold War (Gray 7). However, ever since the early 1980s, the GPS has been easily
available to anyone with a GPS receiver. Shipping firms, Airlines, trucking companies, and drivers
use this technology to track vehicles or follow the best route from one point to another in the
shortest possible time. With a simple tap on a screen, an average individual can find their way via a
complex system comprising of satellite technology. Although the GPS technology has its
disadvantages, it offers numerous advantages, including job creation, improved economy, and
precise military targeting. History of GPS Since it was first invented, the GPS technology has
continuously been improved to match the demands of the current society. The first system had five
satellites and allowed ships to check their location once every hour. As shown in table 2,
acknowledging the need for a more sophisticated method of navigation, the U.S. Department of
Defense implemented the next GPS with 24 satellites, launching the project by the 1990s (Sturm
12). Currently, the European Union is developing its GPS known as the

Transition to 1st main point: First, let s talk about the anticancer properties that are found in certain
teas. ll. Body
A.To talk about the heath benefits that tea provides you first need to know what kinds of teas there
are, because they all help our bodies in different ways.
1.In the article Types of Teas and Their Health Benefits from WebMD it is noted that although there
are many brews of tea, purist really only deem green tea. Black tea, white tea, and oolong tea as
authentic.

According to WebMD they hold special antioxidants called flavonoids.
3.ECGC is the most potent of flavonoids, and it helps fight against free radicals. Which is an atom
and when their paired with unpaired valance electrons it makes the free radical extremely
radioactive towards other things in the body which can lead to cancer. Green teas antioxidants
interfere with the development of colorectal cancers, the antioxidants found in Chamomile tea also
stunt the growth of cancer cells. White tea has the more dominant anticancer properties.

Local Self Government
Introduction
Local government institutions have always existed in India in one form or another since ancient
times. The present form of urban local government owes its genesis to the British rule. The
initiation began with Samuel Laing, member of the Viceroy s Council, in the Budget Speech
(1861 62) proposing that local services should be based on local resources. Lord Mayo s
Resolution of 1870 introduced the concept of elected representatives in the municipalities. Lord
Ripon is considered the founding father of urban local government as he implanted the concept of
municipal authorities as units of self government. His Resolution of 18 May 1882 on local self
government dealt with the constitution of local bodies, their functions, finances ... Show more

The government had a direct link with the peasants instead of the feudatories. The Chola kings
had adopted the Yuvaraja during king`s rule. The orders of the kings were written and copies of it
would be sent to respective departments and officers. The royal priest was the reliable advisor of
the King.
Development of local self government was one of the most striking features of administration of
the Chola dynasty. The villages were given autonomy despite centralised system of governance.
The Chola officials acted as advisors to village assemblies and there was no interference in daily
administration. Thus there was continuity in village administration despite political upheavals.
The general assembly was classified into tax paying villagers, Brahmins and traders. The central
government officers examined accounts and supervised the work of the tax paying villagers. The
village assemblies received gifts from rich men or from king for developmental activities. The
feudatories were unable to impede in the village management. Their job was very clerical in the
sense it was a mere collection of taxes and passing the share to the King.
Elaborate and complicated mechanisms are the attributes of Chola administration. Administration
under the Chola dynasty was systematically conducted. Autonomy along with centralization was
moderately followed in each and every level. Revenue, justice, governance and military were given

Essay on Shutter Island
Directed by Martin Scorsese, Shutter Island is an American mind bending thriller film based on
Dennis Lehane s 2003 novel also named Shutter Island. Leonardo DiCaprio takes the lead role as a
U.S Marshall named Teddy Daniels, who along with his partner, Chuck Aule (played by Mark
Ruffalo), are investigating the mysterious disappearance of a patient at a highly guarded and
isolated psychiatric penitentiary located on Shutter Island. Teddy Daniels runs about the island

The film starts by the two detectives arriving by boat accompanied by dark creepy clouds and
terrible weather which leads to hurricane type winds and stormy rain through the film. This helps
contribute to the already eerie and dark environment of the mental hospital/institution. The dull
grey lighting of the sky with the dramatic rocking of the boat and loud fog horns puts you on
edge from the get go. From the very beginning, it is apparent something strange is taking place on
Shutter Island and the director leaves the audience to gain the experience of watching everything
unfold. The setting of the movie is just as important as any other aspect of the film. The fact that
it takes place in a mental hospital/institution on a remote island surrounded by rocky cliffs, huge
waves, caves, steeps along with a creepy lighthouse, where it is said cruel experiments take place,
screams suspense and thrill. The island is surrounded with tall brick walls laced with electric
fencing and only one port to leave and arrive. The facility itself gives off an eerie feel with its
creepy architect. Inside, the buildings are littered with labyrinth style spaces that seem to almost
consume its inhabitants. Flickering, somewhat, unreliable lighting and approaching storm adds to
sketchy scenery. I feel this makes the audience feel at unease throughout the film, as if

Speech-Language Pathology Research Paper
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is a specialist who evaluates and treats patients or students
with speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all
ages, according to MedicineNet (MedicineNet). People of all ages can struggle with speaking
whether it be articulating letters, stuttering or dyslexia. It is easiest to help correct these challenges
at a younger age, but not impossible when you are older. Regardless of the age or the reason behind
the treatment, the most important part is that the individual receives the therapy that is needed to
help them reach their optimum ability in communication and speaking.
Before starting this project, I didn t know very much about Speech Language Pathology. I ... Show

While with Ms. Smith, I was able to learn more about the difference between Medical Speech
Language Pathology and School Speech Language Pathology. One of the major differences was
the schooling you have to go through to become each type of pathologist. In a school, they
require a masters to pass the national test, and a teaching certificate, where as a medical SLP s
need a masters to pass the national test, and a certificate of clinician competence. Another
difference is what each type of pathology pays. A school pathologist starts at around $40,000 a
year with a scheduled step raise yearly of between $2,500 to $3,000. Medical SLP s start out at
around $10,000 more than in a school and can increase significantly more over time. According
to Learn.org, the highest mean salary someone can expect to receive in a hospital/laboratory
setting is about $105,680 as of 2015 (Learn.org). One question I was eager to learn more about
was how exactly does an SLP help children? While researching this question, I came across a
video that explains exactly how it helps children. Speech Language Pathology can help with
children s communication skills. It allows them to better understand what is being said to them
and how to express themselves to others. It encourages them to talk with others more, and
improves reading and writing skills. Communication can impact a child s social skills and can be
an area kids may struggle. With some help with their speech, they can share a common focus with
another person, play with others and share toys, understand feelings, and make friends. Overall,
Speech Language Pathology helps them interact better with people around them and makes them
feel more comfortable in a classroom (ASHA). One last thing that I was able to come to a
conclusion on was the common terminology used as a Speech Language Pathologist. Like most

Persuasive Writing On Trail Conservation
Trail Restoration There are many benefits to living close to a national park. They are home to
animals, and are a good way for people to go on hikes and get exercise. Sometimes trails
deteriorate over time, or trash is left behind in the parks. My Ecology Project is to go to the
Morongo Preserve on National Public Lands Day, and help restore the landscape and trails. I
will help the staff repair trails, fencing, signs, and clean up trash that has been left behind on the
trails. I will receive, sign, and turn in a waiver by September 25th. I will have closed toe shoes,
and the necessities to stay safe and hydrated. On September 30th, my father will drive me to the
preserve and I will receive my instructions. After I know my tasks, I will get started working on
the trails and signs. On September 30th, a group of volunteers and I will restore trails by moving
dirt so ruts or eroded parts of the path are fixed and smooth for comfortable hikes. On National
Public Lands Day, we will make sure footpaths are easy to walk on by hikingthem ourselves, and
fixing any parts that seem difficult to pass. On September 30th, we will ensure trails are clearly
marked, either by fencing or by plants that line the edge of the trail. After that we will clarify the
signs are clearly marked so that people know what trail they are on, also on September 30th. Then,
on September 30th, we will clean up litter left behind in the park. We will finish by concluding we
did the work efficiently.

The Music Of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an Austrian composer who mastered the range of contemporary
modern instrumental and vocal forms including the symphony, concerto, chamber music, and
especially in the opera.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on January 27, 1756, in Salzburg, Austria. Mozart mom and
dad, stressed about the importance music to their children. Wolfgang received in depth musical
training that by the age of six he was a rising composer and a soon to be keyboard performer. In
1762 Mozart dad presented him as a performer at the imperial court in Vienna, Austria, and from
1763 to 1766 he lead both of his children on a continuous musical tour across.
Mozart was the most praised child prodigy of this time as a keyboard performer. He also made a
great impression as a composer. In London he won the admiration of musician Johann Christian
Bach and he was exposed from an early age to different variety of musical styles across Europe.
Although he had great musical ability, Mozart s lack of a normal childhood caused him much
suffering. During his youth, Mozart was constantly in the news and was extravagantly acclaimed
by all. He was well aware of his precious talent and developed an arrogant and overly confident
demeanor. He had little discipline and maturity outside the subject of music. Mozart frequently went
through periods of financial difficulty.
At age 4 Wolfgang himself began keyboard lessons playing without fault and with great sensitivity,
and by age 5 he was

The Holy Virgin Mary By Chris Ofili Essay
The Holy Virgin Mary was created by Chris Ofili in 1996. It is a mixed media painting, including
paper collage, oil paint, glitter, polyester resin, map pins and elephant dung on linen with the
size of 243.8 cm X 182.9 cm. The artwork portrays Mary, a black virgin, wearing a blue cape
covers from her head down to her body. The cape wraps around her body, leaving an open space
that reveals her right breast that was actually a dried lump of elephant dung. The woman was
positioned standing in the center on a yellow orange background with swirly lines that created a
little detail in the background.
Also, collaged images of woman s genitalia were cut out and spaced all around the portrait. The
spaces were carefully used to show that the collages were floating around the woman. The artist
used overlapping technique to show certain collage cut out appear closer to the viewer. He pasted
some collage over and some behind the woman that you could see through with the overlapping.
The collage images were abstract that you could barely tell that they were buttocks until you zoom
in and see them close up.
Ofili made Mary, the Virgin, look directly at the observers with her big, wide eyes and lips. By
making the eyes big, Ofili has to use more white for the cornea, which makes it stands out more
against her dark skin. Ofili outlined the details of the Virgin in yellow and added a tint of yellow to
every color that he used throughout the portrait. Ofili used vibrant primary colors of

Spartan Women Vs Athenian Culture Essay
If you ask any person, they would probably say that Athens and Sparta are among the best known
city states in ancient Greece. Whether through high school textbooks or Hollywood screens these
two cultures have contributed to our modern understanding of the Grecian people. Each culture has
a unique worldview that helped shaped who the people were, and how others in their society were
treated. For instance, Athens was known for its work in the arts focusing on literature and
architecture, and valued intelligence over strength. Spartawas different, it was a military state
focusing on warfare and athletics, valuing loyalty and power. With these contrasting viewpoints it
is easy to say that the roles of women and how they were treated are also drastically... Show more

Unlike the Athenian women the traits of Spartan culture translated into their everyday lives.
Spartan women were still expected to produce healthy offspring like their Athenian counterparts,
but there was more to their lives than just producing children. Spartan women were expected to
manage households, slaves, and estates. They were even trained like the males in their society.
Xenophon commented on Lycurgus reform (which included training for women); ...he prescribed
physical training for the female sex no less than for the male; and next, just as for men, he arranged
competitions of racing and strength for women also... (Duiker, pp. 103). Basically, Xenophon is
saying that while women were not entirely equal, Lycurgus made sure Spartan women were just as
strong as Spartan men through athletic training and competition. Also, women in this society were
freer since men were forced to stay in military barracks until age thirty. This means that Spartan
women did not have male supervision every hour of the day like Athenian women. However, even
without men they still had no say in politics even though they could inherit property and manage

Review Of Old Mother Savage
Assignment One The Question states: Write an essay about SKILL in the story Old Mother
Savage. By skill I mean both the skill and the intelligence that the woman shows in doing what
she does, and planning it, and also the skill and intelligence of the writer, de Maupassant. That is
to say, how well, and effectively, the writing works, and how it reaches the heart (if it does) and
is real. Write as well and as intelligently as you can, and please quote from the story in order to
support the points that you make. The definition of Skill: The ability to do something well;
expertise. A particular ability. The word skill encompasses a wide variety of meaning in its
definition compared to how few words it contains. In the following, I will describe some of the
interesting examples of skill and lack of skill that I found throughout the story, Old Mother
Savage. I found these examples of skill in the narrator of the story; in the flashback storyteller,
Serval; in the main character, Old Mother Savage; as well as in the writer himself, Guy de
Maupassant. The Story Narrator s Skill. At the very of the beginning of the story, the reader is
greeted with a long description of his surroundings and overall feelings about nature. This was
coupled with the recollection that the narrator had when walking, where he remembered having
met Old Mother Savage, the ...good woman of the house... (line 31). I believe that this gives the
narrator a reason to ask Serval what has happened to the

A Large Computer Forensics Laboratory
A Coordination Plan is critical to the success of a large computer forensics laboratory. It is
necessary for not only members of the forensics team, but for synchronizing with organizational
leads and legal entities. Most labs are operated under best practices and are structured within a
hierarchy from the investigation assistant, the lab assistant, the lead investigator as well as the
project lead. These positions can be changed based on the case and expertise required. Best
practices state that personnel assignments should be made prior to starting the investigation. The
coordination plan should be discussed at all levels of an organization since the lab needs to comply
with the overall rules and regulations of the organization, but it is also likely that the lab s functions
will impact the organization at some point. Competencies Coordination is critical at the senior
leadership level in order to facilitate continuity of operations plan (COOP) planning. Most facilities
that are Information technology centric focuses primarily on IT contingency plan. The IT
contingency plan is a function of the COOP and must be orchestrated with great care. In order to
create a comprehensive COOP, many departments within the organization must be involved.
Finance, managers, network engineers, facilities personnel, system administrators, and security
professionals are key stakeholders during COOP development process. Coordination with outside
organizations is required in order to

This is where you analyze the evaluation results and see how the students did. If many of the
students did not pass the way, the teacher wanted them to then the teacher must take the time to

important when the teacher is trying to figure out their students. It helps the teachers have a plan
for the class so they aren t stuck when it comes time to teach. For teachers to teach this class they
are going to have to develop other skills then their basic physical education teacher. There are six
standards for an APE teacher. These standards include human development, motor behavior,
exercise science, curriculum development, teaching, and communication. Human development is
the basic understanding of how skills develop and progress and how they apply to those with
disabilities. This is important to know due to the fact there are both disabled and non disabled
students in this class. The Motor behavior standard, is having the knowledge to monitor how motor
skills develop and being able to keep in mind the influence of development delay for those that are
disabled. This also goes along with the next standard which is curriculum development. This is the
understanding of how each student has a different goal depending on their disability. Teachers must

In 1960, an invention revolutionized female sexuality and paved the way for the women s

daily sperm production while maintaining normal testosterone levels. This was not an easy task
given that men emit millions of sperm in each, while women only produce one egg per month. The

Sex, Racism, And Discrimination In Advertising
The industry of advertising was intended to be a means of having a product reach its targeted
audience. It is supposed to entice consumers into buying a product. Advertising has become a
hugely productive force. The advertising industry brings in revenue of $250 billion dollars per year
in the United States alone. Advertisingis unavoidable and consuming. The average American
women, man, or child is exposed to over 3,000 ads a day and will spend about two years of his
or her life watching television commercials. The ads are featured at bus stops, school vending
machines, and even on food items. People tend to feel that they are unaffected by advertising
and are simply able to tune them out. People are unable to avoid advertising s influence because
even if one does their best to ignore advertising, it is impossible. Advertising s impact is quick
and subconscious. We are affected every day and in every aspect of our lives by the power of
advertising and remain completely unaware (Killing Us Softy 4). Over the last century there has
been a shift in what the purpose of advertising is and what is doing to its viewers. While
advertising still sells a product to a particular group of people, more and more the way advertising
agencies go about this has lead to sexism, racism, and discrimination. What is discrimination? The

Wang Luhn
Wang Lung is very old now and is always sick. He is like the old man in the beginning of eh
book because he is always on the bed, lying around without anything to worry about. Pear
Blossom gets him food and drinks whenever he needs to eat, and he also walks to the land
everyday and sees his land being good. However, one time he realizes that soon he is going to
die and that he won t be able to survive long enough. That is when the eldest son comes to him,
and sees his condition which is getting worse day by day. His eldest son buys a coffin for his
father. Wang Lugn also decides upon his will as when he talks to Pear Blossom and the issues that
are going on in his family, he says that all the money he owns needs to be divided into sections...

This assumption could be made because of what was described in the end of the chapter, which
was that the sons had a smile of their face while they were looking at one another This shows
that the sons had already made their decision of selling the land before Wang Lung could have
said something before he dies. The reason I think that they agreed with him was because of their
culture, as they just wanted to assure their father that his last wish will be fulfilled, when in
reality they will never let that happen. Not since the eldest son now has a large family to take
care of and the younger son has a business in the market they probably would be too selfish to
take care of his father s last wish as now they will need a way to take care of their huge extended
family with 11 sons and 8 daughter without working day and night like their father. They will
probably go to the south, as how the eldest son always wanted to, and the younger son will also
agree to that as if the family moves there they will not only have profit in the business, but a
better life style. Since both the households of both the sons large, and they would probably hire
someone to work on the land or even have their own children work on the land if needed. Also
because Wang Lung did not finally die in this book, and he will die in the future he

The Importance Of Being The Middle Child
Being the middle child, I have always thought of myself as the forgotten one. I m not the first
born or the baby of the family so I was, and still am, sort of looked over. My parents, although I
am sure they did not mean to, have proven me right about this many times. I was only four years
old the first time I was forgotten. My mothergot all of my sisters into the car as we were leaving K
mart, the biggest store in town, when she forgot to check if I was there. It wasn t until she had
already driven across town and told my sister to ask me what I wanted from Taco Bell that she
realized I was not there. Being a whole four years old, I figured I could navigate the town pretty
well by myself, so I began my journey home alone. Unfortunately, the policeman did not see it the
same way and I only made it to the end of the parking lot. To my mother s advantage, we lived in
a very small town, so she got in no sort of trouble for this mistake.
I have had the chance to establish the most important relationships in my life, relationships that
have built me into the person I am today and am still growing to be. The most prominent people
in my life have always been my four sisters: Jasmine, Stirling, Lukila, and Isabella. Each of them
have impacted me in a completely unique way because they are all so different. Over the years, we
have all been split up many times. In other words, we ve been put in all sorts of places on the map
and back again. For the most part, I have always had

An Open Letter For Friends And Family
An open letter to friends and family:
A Brief Intro/Background
This letter will no doubt be hard for many of you to read, I empathize as it was also hard to write.
I beg your patience and hope you read through to the end. What I would like to convey to you is
my recent shift in world view. That is to say that I recently came to realize that I am an atheist.
This is likely shocking to most of you. Let me be clear by what I intend to convey by identifying as
such. I do not mean to say I am opposed to religion, or claim there is no God. I still identify very
much with LDS culture and attend church regularly. Rather, I identify as an atheist as a way to
convey that I seem to have lost Faith that there is a God. Over the last year I have studied and
ponder in depth to discover as best I could truth. Before I get there I want to be clear as to the
perspective in which I am coming from.
I was raised in a very active and loving family of the LDS Church. My family is still very active,
my father and my mother have served in leadership roles. They are both full of faith and charity
and am grateful for their love and support throughout my life. I, myself have served in leadership
roles in the church both as a young man and as a missionary for the church. I served a 2 year
mission in west Texas spreading the gospel of JesusChrist as I understood it. I was married in an
LDS temple to my wonderful wife. My in laws are also very devout members of the LDS church.

Why High School Students Dropout
High School Dropouts Dropout is a broad term used to classify a person who has abandoned their
class or field of study. A great number of the teens that drop out of school are thought of as being
in the same category, but there are countless different reasons why students drop out of high school.
Be it living in low povertyareas and having to quit school to work and help the family out.
Struggling with learning disabilities and being in special education or even rebelliousness and
pregnancy. Among the abounding states in our country, Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana have
the highest high schooldropoutrates.
Poverty stricken areas have high dropout rates. One of the main reasons for this is the need for a
teen of working age to help ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Teen birth rates were high in the same states with the poverty and special needs issues. With
Louisiana teen birth rate at 47.5 births per 100, ages 15 19(Wright). This means almost 50% of the
children born during this time frame were born to underage mothers entering high school or just
graduating. Typically, when a teen gets pregnant in high school they drop out. This is either due to
having to get a job and support her now new family or even the embarrassment of her situation. In
the south, particularly many teens are made to marry at young ages due to pregnancy and forced to
grow up. This situation is avoidable if parents would push their children to finish their high school
education and recognize how important receiving their diploma is.
I am hopeful as we enter a new time that the dropout rates in these southern states will become
less and less. That we can break the cycle on families having to depend of the government for
different programs to survive, so that we can begin to pour money into the school system to help
the teens with learning disabilities make it through school. I am hopeful that in these new times
teens are not forced to marry and stop pursing their education. I am optimistic one day everyone
will realize how important completing high school is and the rates we see now will soon be

It was an improbable romance. He was a country boy. She was from the city. She had the world
at her feet, while he didn t have two dimes to rub together. In the 2004 movie the Notebook
directed by Nick Cassavetes we see an unlikely romance between a rich city girl, Allie Hamilton
(Rachel McAdams), and a poor country boy Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling). Based on the bestselling
book by Nicholas Sparks, the Notebook shows us how relationships change throughout different
stages of our lives but love will never diminish.
The film begins with a scene at a nursing home, where see an old man, Duke, reading to a
woman, Allie, whose memory has started to slip due to Alzheimer s. He pulls an old notebook
and in a flashback we are taken to Seabrook Island, North Carolina in the 1940 s. This is where
we meet Noah Calhoun a dirt poor local kid who is played by Ryan Gosling. Gosling, who is
undeniably one of the most popular actors of our generation, does an outstanding job portraying
his character. His ease and confidence makes us believe he was made to play this role. When he
tells Allie that relationships are something you don t give up on So it s not gonna be easy. It s
going to be really hard; we re gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because
I want you. I want all of you, forever, every day. You and me He speaks with such great passion
and emotion that it tugs at our heartstrings. The movie then continues to a carnival where Noah

The Web in Art Education Essay
In the last several years, a number of new technologies associated with the World Wide Web
emerged. The term Web 2.0 is widely used to refer to these technologies that reflect substantial
changes in the traditional model of how content for the Web is created and consumed (O Reilly,
2005). What differentiates these technologies from previous aspects of the Web is the social
interaction that is involved, the ability of users to create and disseminate content, the ability of the
users to rate and tag content, and the free availability to anyone with Internetaccess (Freedman,

inexpensive and simple for anyone with Internet access to create and disseminate their ideas
through various forms on the Web. The emergence of technologies associated with Web 2.0
represents a significant change in the ease of creating content for the Web and in the type of
content available on the Web. Many of the applications necessary to create content are freely
available to anyone with Internet access (Bull Ferster, 2005; O Reilly, 2005). Instead of most
content being created by experts, there is a significant increase in content created, edited, re
created, combined, appropriated, etc. by millions of authors (Lee Berry, 2006). Additionally,
because of the ease of these tools, content on the Web can be updated quickly and simply. For

Thomas Vs Hobbes
For instance, Thomas Hobbes came up with a solution for the state of nature that is the social
contract. The state of nature was defined by Hobbes that without the protection from the law or
the state, people can still live comfortably without a sense of fear. This is possible if the world is
remains innocent and pure, however, the reality is, the world has changed, people has changed.
People nowadays are willing to do anything to get what they want; it is no longer moralityover
desire but rather desire over morality. Thus, people will only live insecurely and under fear
constantly in a world without law and without obedience of law by human. In other words, there
will be no peace without law as depending on morality alone, depending on the

Outline For Presuppositional Apologetics
The first purpose which the author mentioned was the need for a biblical approach to
Apologetics. John Frame s first purposes were stated, A biblical apologetic targets unbelief
wherever it may be found, strengthening the faith of Christians and calling unbelievers to
repentance and faith in Christ. 1 Frame began with a brief biblical definition and outline for
Presuppositional Apologetics. First he referenced the biblical basis of Apologetics, I Peter 3:15
16, and then outlined, 1. Apologetics as proof: 2 Followed by 2. Apologetics as defense: 3 And
then 3. Apologetics as offense: 4 Frame demonstrated a clear way of understanding as he outlined

the Apologetic apparatus, and explaining the many parts and pieces to this way of looking at
Scripture and arguing for the faith. One aspect of this body of study seems to this writer to be
unessential to Apologetics which Frame inserts into his explanation of Apologetics which is
predestination. Frame stated, The doctrine that God foreordains and directs all events is
generally regarded as Calvinistic, and I am not embarrassed to be called a Calvinist. 8 Frame goes
on to discuss Arminianism. The question to ask is can the study of Apologetics stand on its own
without inserting Calvinism into it? This writer believes so. Good men of course can disagree, and

Ir A Country With A Rich History
Iran is a country with a rich history that stretches back to the formation of the Persian Empire in
550 BC. It is important to discuss the history of Iran when viewing its current state of politics
because over this vast period of time there was a distinct set of rule that had just ended less than
forty years ago. From 550 BC to 1979, Iran(formerly known as Persia, changed names in 1935)
had been ruled by emperors, kings and shahs (Persian for king of kings ), until the Iranian
Revolution of 1979 when the last shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, was overthrown. An important
event that occurred under the leadership of shahs, occurred in 1501 under the leadership of the
Safavid dynasty, when Iran adopted Shia Islam as their official religion. This event was important
in many ways as it shaped the current political landscape of Iran and has been an increasingly
debated topic in comparative politics. After the overthrow of the shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi,
the person appointed as new leader of Iran was Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. Khomeini had
garnered widespread popularity when he spoke against the leadership of Pahlavi and was exiled
from the country to Iraq, and later Paris. While in Iraq, Khomeini wrote the book, Islamic
Government: The Governance of the Jurist. In his book, Khomeini introduced the idea of Velayat a
faqih which essentially meant that the people should be ruled by clerical leader. He also believed
that the state should be ruled under Sharia which translates

On the Entrapment and Incarceration of the Victorian...
Thomas Blackburn describes the two Victorian poets, Robert Browning and Alfred, Lord Tennyson
as being great contemporaries (47). As such it is apt that their works should muse upon and explore
similar topics and themes. Their connection is especially evident in Browning s My Last Duchess
and Tennyson s The Lady of Shalott . The themes of entrapment and incarceration feature heavily in
both of these works. Specifically, it is the entrapment and incarceration of women which pervade
their respective compositions. When taking into consideration the way in which women were
viewed at this juncture in history being nothing more than beautiful objects (Gilbert and Gubar 54),
it is quite easy to see how the literary representations of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

While the Duke of Ferrara never explicitly verbalizes the Duchess fate, it is strongly implied that

as nothing more than a possession. The Duke exemplifies this view when he makes reference to
another piece of his art collection, as if the current and previous subjects of his monologue were

egocentric ideals. While he puts an adulterous spin on her actions, by declaring: She had A heart

Notes On The Stock Market
Rookie stock market investors are those who only possess a relatively rudimentary knowledge and
experience of the investing sphere. Most of these individuals usually commence by sticking to a
buy and hold trading strategy. As a beginner, your general experience in investment trading is very
limited. This, for the most part, confines you to making no more than a couple of trades perhaps on
a monthly basis from a cash account. However, this does not necessary signify that you have not
placed high expectations on your stock markettrading activities. You most likely are very
interested in expanding your knowledge as well as investment experience in order to realize the
objectives you may have set. This is all nice and good.
Nevertheless, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Beginners are normally successful during strong bull markets. But unfortunately find themselves
clueless when on tougher occasions, especially when market volatility is higher and bears happen
to rule. Well, if you deeply feel you fit this description to the T, here then are some stock market
basics for beginners, which could be useful.
Make it a point to set realistic trading objectives
Before you decide to make your very first investment, try to ask yourself the following questions.
At what point will you require the money you have invested? Will it be after 6 months, a year, 5
years or perhaps much longer? , Are you trying to lay a nest egg for your sunset years? , Are
seeking to obtain the necessary funds to finance your college education or perhaps seeking money
to buy a home? On the other hand, do wish to establish an estate that you want to leave for your
beneficiaries upon your demise?
Whichever the case, prior to making any stock market investment, you ought to fully determine
your primary driving motivation. When you have ascertained this critical point, next consider the
most likely time in the future you might stand in need of the funds you wish to invest. Should you
require your investment back within just a couple of years, then it will be much better to consider
another investment channel. It is very important for you to fully understand that the stock market
with its volatility can

Brief Review Of The Sacrifice Of Isaac By Peter Paul Rubens
Touring at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, I got to see many paintings from different eras. The
area that interested me the most was the Baroque style. Specifically, the painting called The

It is an oil paintingon wood panel was made in 1612 1613 Baroqueperiod ( Peter Paul , n.d.). Since
the Counter Reformation, the style of paintings has become more realistic and dramatic with light,
color and space. The Sacrifice of Isaac painting fits the baroque style because of the drama
represented. Therefore, the body positions of the characters makes it more theatrical. Such as,

Research Paper On Emperor Penguins
In relation to their swimming adaptations, Emperor penguins also need to be able to dive to great
depths in order to retrieve vital resources such as food. Emperor penguins tend to hunt for quick,
midwater squid as well as fish and therefore they need to be capable of diving to relatively deeper
and remain submerged for longer period of time, in relation to other penguinspecies. Emperor
penguins can dive to depths of approximately 550 565 metres towards the sea floor which is
known as the twilight zone where less light is able to penetrate the surface of the water. Emperor

This is because the female Emperor desires a partner who is able to survive throughout the
unfavourable environment during the long fasting period whilst incubating the egg produced
by the female. Once the female lays her egg, both parents alternate between incubating and
protecting the eggs as well as caring for the chicks once they re hatched while the female hunts
for food. So, while the female returns to sea in order to forage food, the male is left to fend for
him and his egg and consequently chicks, this can last for approximately 2 months and the male
penguins can potentially lose up to 45% (potentially 20 kilograms) of their overall body fat over
the breeding season. Therefore, it is incredibly important for a female to find a fat partner, as the
larger the partner, the longer he will be able to fast while she forages for food, and protect their
eggs and consequently their chicks. To emphasize and flaunt their size, the male Emperor
penguins produce a call of sorts in order to attract a suitable female, whilst performing and
waving their flippers/wings around in order to draw attention to themselves. Dependant on the
density of the male s layer of fat surrounding its voice box and consequently the overall size of the
male s chest cavity, the tone of the call produced will either be suitable or unsuitable decided on said

Research Paper On False Memories
Introduction
False memories are memories which have never really occurred but the person who holds them is
convinced of the opposite. Therefore, as Kenneth S. Pope specifies in his research, false memory
syndrome is a condition in which a person s identity and interpersonal relationships are centered
around a memory of a traumatic experience which is objectively false but which the person strongly
believes. Truth be told, everyone may have memories which might not be true but the syndrome is
confirmed only if the anamnesis affects and determines the person s whole personality and
behavior. (Pope, n.d.)
Research questions
Serious false memories like child abuse are often mistaken as repressed ones which were recalled
through therapy sessions with the help of a professional. This, however, brings around the
controversy about whether repressed memories truly exist and if they do, whether they are accurate
enough to be taken into consideration.
Still, how can someone be certain that false memories are real occurrences since no one can travel
back in time to verify them? Also if we accept them as an existing issue ... Show more content on

Scheflin, repressed memory falls under the umbrella of dissociative amnesia which is characterized
by an inability to recall important personal information usually of a traumatic or stressful nature,

his view, Scheflin, cites numerous researches that had been contacted in order to prove that
memories of dreadful events can be forgotten and recalled after a certain amount of time. For

papilloma virus caused cancer (Preventing Cervical Cancer). Moreover the human papillomavirus
causes genital warts in both men and women. In the year two thousand and six, a scientist
generated two vaccines that protect the human body from contracting the virus. The Food and Drug

Henceforth only four thousand women die annually of cervical cancer. At the present time, the
HPV vaccine has the possibility to eradicate cervical cancer. Furthermore, he HPV vaccine will not
only save lives annually, but it will also reduce sexually transmitted infections.
The HPV vaccine should be required on the grounds that it will reduce sexually transmitted
infections in the United States. The human papillomavirus is spread and contracted through sexual
intercourse. Around twenty million people have the human papillomavirus in the United States
(Creel). An abundance of people do not realize that they have been infected by the human
papillomavirus since it has no symptoms, thus making the virus dangerous. If a person has the
human papilloma virus and does not acquire treatment, it can lead to cancer or genital warts.
Women might learn if they have contracted the human papilloma virus if they have a Pap smear
test done. Unfortunately, men are not able to know if they have the virus unless they develop
genital warts or cancer. Research shows that the HPV vaccine, produces a strong immune
response when tested (Creel). If a person decides to receive the vaccine when required and is ever
exposed to the virus the chances of contracting the virus are extremely low. As of today, studies
show that both HPV vaccines can reduce the risk of contracting cancer and genital warts

Persuasive Essay On Prayer For God
He is unaware, or He is too old and inept to function alone and needs you to watch Him as you
would someone disabled. If you believe every hair on your head is counted and God knows
when the sparrow falls to the ground, you must also know God is aware of everyone s plight
and condition. He does not need you to tell Him what to do; such is demeaning to the Creator.
Rather than praying for someone s healing, you should pray the person is filled with strength to
overcome adversity. Never should you pray to receive anything in your life except strength to
overcome adversities. The gifts you should pray to receive is the wisdom to ask for what Godhas
chosen for you to receive. The blessing you need from God is to know how He wants you to
serve Him. Everything else will follow. Now I will tell you how to please your Creator. In the
past, you had an excuse of ignorance; now you have no excuse. Your God insists His creation
emulate His holiness and purity. Whatever is holy, pure, and clean you will have; anything less,
you will not have. You will live for your neighbor, the stranger you do not know. Let me inform
you, anyone with a me first attitude will become last. You will achieve spiritual godliness when
you are in overwhelming thankfulness in the face of adversity. In this era, you will be given many
chances to achieve spiritual godliness you will use to please your Creator. There cannot be true
godliness unless you are proficient in hate. Many believe all they need is to

Civic Mirror Analysis
Authorization is an imperative component for any society. Civic Mirror taught our class the
necessity for bureaucracy in today s life. Government enforces correct behavior in organizing every
individual for further equality. In civic mirror, Congress composed laws to reinforce civility. If
citizens acted against this reinforcement, a trial would be held. In addition to emphasized
legislation, administration of necessary goods also justifies the importance for government. The
provided prices for essentials were very inexpensive compared to the private marketers. The
primary action the authority takes is implementing God given rights. In the taught simulation, every
individual was granted the right to a fair trial, for every case required an impartial jury. The
importance of government is integral in the provision of necessary guidance to its citizens as shown
through Civic Mirror.
Government encourages each resident to sustain appropriate conduct. Efficiently run communities
abide by the correct behavior the authority institutes. To establish reverence in society, authorization
constitutes impartial court systems. During our first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the civic mirror simulation, taxation and the ownership of business hexes provided the
government with a spacious budget, allowing taxpayers to redeem a payment of above 1,000.
This fund guided disadvantaged families to purchase food, insurance, education, and health care.
Additionally, the authorization maintained prices around 900 dollars left the in the private sector.
Jesse Price, our judge, owned the health hex and was charging 950 per unit while the government
was charging 50 for an equally necessary unit, education. Our community of Beach Mountain was
able to prevent others from reaching levels of poverty by saving the citizens almost 2,000 dollars.

Quiz All Over Our Faces !
This Panel Show, entitled Quiz All Over Our Faces! , will be an amalgamation of several
different modern TV shows of the same vein, borrowing certain aspects but not making, per say,
a carbon copy of the panel shows in question. Through this we plan to create something that is
not so much original but a fresh take on the formula of the panel show. The majority of shows
which influence will be drawn from will be of a comedic disposition. So in saying that, the set
up of the show will be, that two teams comprised of two people will compete against one another
through a number of sections and based on how they perform a points system will distinguish as
to who the winning side is a all times The host of the show being the one who puts these
challenges to them and distinguishes who is the victor at the end of each section. Like most shows
we will begin with an opening VT, comprised of motion graphicsand pre recorded material that will
be added in. The motion graphics themselves will be created with the programme After Effects
and for a more efficient work flow, an online template will be used. The pre recorded material will
be of the guests and possibly previous content which has recorded in the studio. At this point in the
show both a colour scheme, a flavour of what the show is about and the name of the show will be
established. Moving on from this, the Host will introduce himself and then the contestants either
side of him, lower thirds used respectively for each

Ph and Buffers Lab
Buffers, and pH, and Diffusion oh my The pH of a solution is the measure of the concentration of
charged Hydrogen ions in that given solution. A solution with a pH lower than seven is
considered to be acidic. A solution with a higher pH is a base. It is very important for organisms to
maintain a stable pH. Biological molecules such as proteins function only at a certain pH level and
any changes in pH can result in them not functioning properly. To maintain these constant pH
levels, buffer solutions are used. A buffer solutioncan resist change to small additions of acids or
base s. A good buffer will have components that act like a base, and components that act like an
acid. Diffusion is random movement of molecules or other... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The next experiment was to test diffusion in agar solution. A petri dish with a layer of solidified
agar had four holes punched in it using a No. 5 cork borer. Three holes were punched in a
triangle shape with the fourth hole directly in the middle. There should be 15 mm between each
outside hole and the middle hole. The three outside holes were filled with one drop each of
potassium bromide, potassium Terri cyanide, and sodium chloride. The middle hole was filled
with a drop of silver nitrate. It is very important to make sure that none of the holes overflow.
After each has been filled allow to sit for an hour and observe the results. In the final experiment
we filled a dialysis bag with starch solution and tied off both ends of the bag so that it is water
tight. We then filled a separate bag with sodium chloride and submerge both dialysis bags in two
beakers of distilled water. We allowed the bags to sit in the water for 10 minutes. We then put
silver nitrate into the water that held the dialysis bag filled with sodium chloride and recorded any
changes in the water. We then added iodine to the water that held the dialysis bag of starch and
observed any changes in the water.

Self-Driving Trucks
Self driving trucks have become a major scare for the trucking industry. Although uber s Advanced
Technology Group is promoting the positives of the new technology, truck drivers are realizing that
their jobs are not secure. Uber believes that self driving trucks will majorly increase supply,
demand, and the amount of trucking jobs. The work that humans provide during drives is not
matchable. Truckdrivers move axles, check brakes, check are hoses, and communicate with outside
sources. The more computerized jobs become, the less necessity there will be for manual labor.
Demand Relationship: This relates the prices to the quantity demanded. The article states, If the
self driving trucks are used more efficiently, it would drive down the cost of freight, which would
stimulate demand. This is an exceptional example of demand relationship in the it displays how
lower prices would raise demand. Uber thinks the demand for freight will create a greater need for
truck drivers. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Uber, self driving trucks will largely increase the amount of freight that can be sold.
As a result of the supply growth, more jobs will be created. It is hard to see a correlation between
self driving trucks and a job surge for truck drivers.
Market Equilibrium: This means that supply and demand are equal. It was predicted that the
demand for more freight will rise and supply will grow in order to match the high demand. Many
companies strive for market equilibrium, so it is obvious that the trucking industry would benefit
greatly in goods and services.
Movement Along the Demand Curve: This occurs when there is a change in both price and the
quantity demanded. The article demonstrated that a decrease in the cost of freight would raise the
demand for it. The relationship between a lower price and higher demand is displayed accurately
in this article with the desire for more efficient self driving

The technology was invented by the U.S. Department of Defense, Ivan Getting, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Gray 4). GPS is well known for its military applications and was first used by the U.S. to aid in its global intelligence efforts during the Cold War (Gray 7). However, ever since the early 1980s, the GPS has been easily available to anyone with a GPS receiver. Shipping firms, Airlines, trucking companies, and drivers use this technology to track vehicles or follow the best route from one point to another in the shortest possible time. With a simple tap on a screen, an average individual can find their way via a complex system comprising of satellite technology. Although the GPS technology has its disadvantages, it offers numerous advantages, including job creation, improved economy, and precise military targeting. History of GPS Since it was first invented, the GPS technology has continuously been improved to match the demands of the current society. The first system had five satellites and allowed ships to check their location once every hour. As shown in table 2, acknowledging the need for a more sophisticated method of navigation, the U.S. Department of Defense implemented the next GPS with 24 satellites, launching the project by the 1990s (Sturm 12). • 4. Local Self Government Introduction Local government institutions have always existed in India in one form or another since ancient times. The present form of urban local government owes its genesis to the British rule. The initiation began with Samuel Laing, member of the Viceroy s Council, in the Budget Speech (1861 62) proposing that local services should be based on local resources. Lord Mayo s Resolution of 1870 introduced the concept of elected representatives in the municipalities. Lord Ripon is considered the founding father of urban local government as he implanted the concept of municipal authorities as units of self government. His Resolution of 18 May 1882 on local self government dealt with the constitution of local bodies, their functions, finances ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The government had a direct link with the peasants instead of the feudatories. The Chola kings had adopted the Yuvaraja during king`s rule. The orders of the kings were written and copies of it would be sent to respective departments and officers. The royal priest was the reliable advisor of the King. Development of local self government was one of the most striking features of administration of the Chola dynasty. The villages were given autonomy despite centralised system of governance. The Chola officials acted as advisors to village assemblies and there was no interference in daily administration. Thus there was continuity in village administration despite political upheavals. The general assembly was classified into tax paying villagers, Brahmins and traders. The central government officers examined accounts and supervised the work of the tax paying villagers. The village assemblies received gifts from rich men or from king for developmental activities. The feudatories were unable to impede in the village management. Their job was very clerical in the sense it was a mere collection of taxes and passing the share to the King. Elaborate and complicated mechanisms are the attributes of Chola administration. Administration under the Chola dynasty was systematically conducted. Autonomy along with centralization was moderately followed in each and every level. The film starts by the two detectives arriving by boat accompanied by dark creepy clouds and terrible weather which leads to hurricane type winds and stormy rain through the film. This helps contribute to the already eerie and dark environment of the mental hospital/institution. The dull grey lighting of the sky with the dramatic rocking of the boat and loud fog horns puts you on edge from the get go. From the very beginning, it is apparent something strange is taking place on Shutter Island and the director leaves the audience to gain the experience of watching everything unfold. The setting of the movie is just as important as any other aspect of the film. The fact that it takes place in a mental hospital/institution on a remote island surrounded by rocky cliffs, huge waves, caves, steeps along with a creepy lighthouse, where it is said cruel experiments take place, screams suspense and thrill. The island is surrounded with tall brick walls laced with electric fencing and only one port to leave and arrive. The facility itself gives off an eerie feel with its creepy architect. Inside, the buildings are littered with labyrinth style spaces that seem to almost consume its inhabitants. Flickering, somewhat, unreliable lighting and approaching storm adds to sketchy scenery. I feel this makes the audience feel at unease throughout the film, as if ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Speech-Language Pathology Research Paper A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is a specialist who evaluates and treats patients or students with speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages, according to MedicineNet (MedicineNet). People of all ages can struggle with speaking whether it be articulating letters, stuttering or dyslexia. It is easiest to help correct these challenges at a younger age, but not impossible when you are older. Regardless of the age or the reason behind the treatment, the most important part is that the individual receives the therapy that is needed to help them reach their optimum ability in communication and speaking. Before starting this project, I didn t know very much about Speech Language Pathology. I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While with Ms. Smith, I was able to learn more about the difference between Medical Speech Language Pathology and School Speech Language Pathology. One of the major differences was the schooling you have to go through to become each type of pathologist. In a school, they require a masters to pass the national test, and a teaching certificate, where as a medical SLP s need a masters to pass the national test, and a certificate of clinician competence. Another difference is what each type of pathology pays. A school pathologist starts at around $40,000 a year with a scheduled step raise yearly of between $2,500 to $3,000. Medical SLP s start out at around $10,000 more than in a school and can increase significantly more over time. According to Learn.org, the highest mean salary someone can expect to receive in a hospital/laboratory setting is about $105,680 as of 2015 (Learn.org). One question I was eager to learn more about was how exactly does an SLP help children? While researching this question, I came across a video that explains exactly how it helps children. Speech Language Pathology can help with children s communication skills. It allows them to better understand what is being said to them and how to express themselves to others. It encourages them to talk with others more, and improves reading and writing skills. Communication can impact a child s social skills and can be an area kids may struggle. With some help with their speech, they can share a common focus with another person, play with others and share toys, understand feelings, and make friends. Overall, Speech Language Pathology helps them interact better with people around them and makes them feel more comfortable in a classroom (ASHA). One last thing that I was able to come to a conclusion on was the common terminology used as a Speech Language Pathologist. Like most fields of study, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They are home to animals, and are a good way for people to go on hikes and get exercise. Sometimes trails deteriorate over time, or trash is left behind in the parks. My Ecology Project is to go to the Morongo Preserve on National Public Lands Day, and help restore the landscape and trails. I will help the staff repair trails, fencing, signs, and clean up trash that has been left behind on the trails. I will receive, sign, and turn in a waiver by September 25th. I will have closed toe shoes, and the necessities to stay safe and hydrated. On September 30th, my father will drive me to the preserve and I will receive my instructions. After I know my tasks, I will get started working on the trails and signs. On September 30th, a group of volunteers and I will restore trails by moving dirt so ruts or eroded parts of the path are fixed and smooth for comfortable hikes. On National Public Lands Day, we will make sure footpaths are easy to walk on by hikingthem ourselves, and fixing any parts that seem difficult to pass. On September 30th, we will ensure trails are clearly marked, either by fencing or by plants that line the edge of the trail. After that we will clarify the signs are clearly marked so that people know what trail they are on, also on September 30th. Then, on September 30th, we will clean up litter left behind in the park. • 9. The Holy Virgin Mary By Chris Ofili Essay The Holy Virgin Mary was created by Chris Ofili in 1996. It is a mixed media painting, including paper collage, oil paint, glitter, polyester resin, map pins and elephant dung on linen with the size of 243.8 cm X 182.9 cm. The artwork portrays Mary, a black virgin, wearing a blue cape covers from her head down to her body. The cape wraps around her body, leaving an open space that reveals her right breast that was actually a dried lump of elephant dung. The woman was positioned standing in the center on a yellow orange background with swirly lines that created a little detail in the background. Also, collaged images of woman s genitalia were cut out and spaced all around the portrait. The spaces were carefully used to show that the collages were floating around the woman. The artist used overlapping technique to show certain collage cut out appear closer to the viewer. He pasted some collage over and some behind the woman that you could see through with the overlapping. The collage images were abstract that you could barely tell that they were buttocks until you zoom in and see them close up. Ofili made Mary, the Virgin, look directly at the observers with her big, wide eyes and lips. By making the eyes big, Ofili has to use more white for the cornea, which makes it stands out more against her dark skin. Ofili outlined the details of the Virgin in yellow and added a tint of yellow to every color that he used throughout the portrait. Ofili used vibrant primary colors of ... Whether through high school textbooks or Hollywood screens these two cultures have contributed to our modern understanding of the Grecian people. Each culture has a unique worldview that helped shaped who the people were, and how others in their society were treated. For instance, Athens was known for its work in the arts focusing on literature and architecture, and valued intelligence over strength. Spartan women were still expected to produce healthy offspring like their Athenian counterparts, but there was more to their lives than just producing children. Xenophon commented on Lycurgus reform (which included training for women); ...he prescribed physical training for the female sex no less than for the male; and next, just as for men, he arranged competitions of racing and strength for women also... (Duiker, pp. 103). Basically, Xenophon is saying that while women were not entirely equal, Lycurgus made sure Spartan women were just as strong as Spartan men through athletic training and competition. Also, women in this society were freer since men were forced to stay in military barracks until age thirty. This means that Spartan women did not have male supervision every hour of the day like Athenian women. • 14. Review Of Old Mother Savage Assignment One The Question states: Write an essay about SKILL in the story Old Mother Savage. By skill I mean both the skill and the intelligence that the woman shows in doing what she does, and planning it, and also the skill and intelligence of the writer, de Maupassant. That is to say, how well, and effectively, the writing works, and how it reaches the heart (if it does) and is real. Write as well and as intelligently as you can, and please quote from the story in order to support the points that you make. The definition of Skill: The ability to do something well; expertise. A particular ability. The word skill encompasses a wide variety of meaning in its definition compared to how few words it contains. In the following, I will describe some of the interesting examples of skill and lack of skill that I found throughout the story, Old Mother Savage. I found these examples of skill in the narrator of the story; in the flashback storyteller, Serval; in the main character, Old Mother Savage; as well as in the writer himself, Guy de Maupassant. The Story Narrator s Skill. At the very of the beginning of the story, the reader is greeted with a long description of his surroundings and overall feelings about nature. This was coupled with the recollection that the narrator had when walking, where he remembered having met Old Mother Savage, the ...good woman of the house... (line 31). • 16. A Large Computer Forensics Laboratory A Coordination Plan is critical to the success of a large computer forensics laboratory. It is necessary for not only members of the forensics team, but for synchronizing with organizational leads and legal entities. Most labs are operated under best practices and are structured within a hierarchy from the investigation assistant, the lab assistant, the lead investigator as well as the project lead. These positions can be changed based on the case and expertise required. Best practices state that personnel assignments should be made prior to starting the investigation. The coordination plan should be discussed at all levels of an organization since the lab needs to comply with the overall rules and regulations of the organization, but it is also likely that the lab s functions will impact the organization at some point. Competencies Coordination is critical at the senior leadership level in order to facilitate continuity of operations plan (COOP) planning. Most facilities that are Information technology centric focuses primarily on IT contingency plan. The IT contingency plan is a function of the COOP and must be orchestrated with great care. This is where you analyze the evaluation results and see how the students did. If many of the students did not pass the way, the teacher wanted them to then the teacher must take the time to modify the activity even more so that it will suite the students better. This model is extremely important when the teacher is trying to figure out their students. It helps the teachers have a plan for the class so they aren t stuck when it comes time to teach. For teachers to teach this class they are going to have to develop other skills then their basic physical education teacher. There are six standards for an APE teacher. These standards include human development, motor behavior, exercise science, curriculum development, teaching, and communication. Human development is the basic understanding of how skills develop and progress and how they apply to those with disabilities. This is important to know due to the fact there are both disabled and non disabled students in this class. But an increasing number of people both men and women want men to take a more active role in contraception use. Their wish may be granted in the foreseeable future, as research companies grow closer to revealing the first continuous, reversible male contraceptive pill. It is supposed to entice consumers into buying a product. Advertising has become a hugely productive force. The advertising industry brings in revenue of $250 billion dollars per year in the United States alone. Advertisingis unavoidable and consuming. The average American women, man, or child is exposed to over 3,000 ads a day and will spend about two years of his or her life watching television commercials. The ads are featured at bus stops, school vending machines, and even on food items. People tend to feel that they are unaffected by advertising and are simply able to tune them out. It is important to discuss the history of Iran when viewing its current state of politics because over this vast period of time there was a distinct set of rule that had just ended less than forty years ago. From 550 BC to 1979, Iran(formerly known as Persia, changed names in 1935) had been ruled by emperors, kings and shahs (Persian for king of kings ), until the Iranian Revolution of 1979 when the last shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, was overthrown. An important event that occurred under the leadership of shahs, occurred in 1501 under the leadership of the Safavid dynasty, when Iran adopted Shia Islam as their official religion. This event was important in many ways as it shaped the current political landscape of Iran and has been an increasingly debated topic in comparative politics. The themes of entrapment and incarceration feature heavily in both of these works. Specifically, it is the entrapment and incarceration of women which pervade their respective compositions.
