1) I was intrigued by the map because I myself have a biological father, and a man that I actually
look up to as a father. I have been reading the Odyssey and the Iliad over the past couple months
focusing on the story telling of the books and never paying much attention to the father aspect. I do
remember many times when I was reading, I would start thinking that this sounded somewhat like
the bible in terms of is speaking to familylineage so often, but I never really just focused on
fathers in this book. I remember in book 9 of the Iliad, Phoenix is speaking to Achilles and says
to Achilles I have made you my son, I tried, so someday you might fight disaster back . He goes

as a means to achieve their goals of increasing development in those countries. Hydroelectric dams
are some of the much maligned infrastructure projects funded by the World Bank. In a report
authored by employees of the World Bank itself, the authors themselves highlight the adverse
environmental and related social impacts of large dams, while attempting to draw a distinction
between relatively good dams and bad dams . (Ledec Quintero, 2003)
One example of a hydroelectric dam funded by the World Bank is the Sardar Sarovar Dam in
India. The World Bank funded Sardar Sarovar in 1985, approving $450 million in loans for the

Siddhartha. On his path to enlightenment, Siddhartha experiences many different circumstances

their area of operations is to have a three station cycle for his company. Each platoon would have
a twenty one day rotation at a different location carrying out a different task. The three tasks
were to set up TCP on a main roads, set up a FOB and be the quick reaction force for the other
platoons, and the third task was to patrol the city as per guidance from higher. The least liked job
was manning the TCP s. The soldiers did not like this job because they knew soldiers sitting in

book, The Secret, and stared at them, partly puzzled, partly annoyed. What s that about? I
enquired after hearing the phrase for the fourth time that day. After finding amusement in my

During my early years of life, I absolutely loved learning new things. I would wonder around the
house and garage and look for items that were interesting. I was a very tactile child, in which I
needed to touch and feel objects and items in order to learn about them. My parents and
grandparents taught me to count at a young age using money and household items. For example,
every morning, I went to McDonalds with my grandfather, and I purchased a cappuccino to take
home for my grandmother. The overall cost of the coffee would be 95 cents, and I would receive
a nickel in change. When we left McDonalds, my grandfather would give me the nickel as long as
I saved the nickels and counted them in the pickup truck. At a young age, I had already learned the
alphabet and numbers. My absolute favorite learningactivity and form of playas a young child
included spending time with my grandfather on the new land, in which I helped build the house. I
followed him around, played on the dirt pile, and was interested in the tools he would use to build
cars and furniture.
From birth to three years old, I was intrigued by toys that played music. For example, I used rattles
to make noise, and I played music with a toy xylophone. My parents and grandparents also assisted
in reading books with sounds and different textures for sensory input. My family also bought me a
musical activity gym where I could flat on my back on a mat with a variety of toys that played
