The Life Of Fredrick Douglass, An American Slave
Ironically inhumane. Maybe not ironic at all. Forced labor of humans being considered humane
almost seems impossible. Everyone is human, they feel pain, excitement, emotion, actually maybe
not emotion. Emotions are typically innate, sadness, happiness, but what about empathy? Slavery
brought extreme empathy to some, but showed the void of empathy in others. Those lacking
empathy can either be violent or depressed. They cannot feel for others, have no reason to try to
find a connection. One major question exists, is empathy a learned emotion? Throughout the
moving, enlightening, and harsh Fredrick Douglass autobiography, Narrative of the Life of
Fredrick Douglass, an American Slave, the former slave truly reflects on what the public is being
kept from hearing about: actual slave attitudes. Written in 1845, around the time the strongest
abolitionist movements were in the beginning stages, the recently freed slave provided a semi
live feed of what reality for the slave is truly like. With his stories of an abandoned childhood and
an under privileged education, Douglass provides the reader with the feelings, sights, and smells of
living in his shoes. Taking a retrospective view of the topic, one can jump to the conclusion of
slaverybeing an obvious example of inhumane labor, and one that needed to be dismantled
immediately. Looking at it from the point of view of an average individual living among others in
the recently formed United States republic, one may be able to

Stockholm Syndrome In Child Soldiers
When caught in a life threatening situation, we often feel that we do not have control over the
outcome, when in reality, we do. Phycological research concludes that our brains take over for us
during traumatizing times, usually without us even realizing it. A common area where our brains
take an automatic route is in situations of exploitation, specifically in those who are exploited. One
of the common thinking routes is Stockholm syndrome, a psychological phenomenon that causes
those who are in stressful situations to develop a feeling of trust for who/what is causing them
distress. Kidnappers, recruiters, and abusers are all successful in exploiting due to either conscious
and subconscious knowledge of Stockholm syndrome in their victims,... Show more content on

In order to understand, handle, and act on the exploitation and manipulation that criminals inflict on
their vulnerable victims, it is important to understand Stockholm syndrome as the common route
that those victims brains take as a comforting mechanism. Education on the phenomenon could
provide a way for negotiators and/or justice programs to be successful themselves in combating the
potential success perpetrators have from their utilization of Stockholm syndrome to commit

Short Story Casey At The Bat
In the short story Casey At The Bat the author uses humor to tell the story. I think the author does
it to explain the depth and meaning of the story. The author makes it where we expect something
totally different then what`s about to happen. Also I think the author uses it to tell the story
better. I think this because in the beginning of the story all the people were excited because
Casey was coming up to bat like they were screaming his name and everything. So that makes the
reader think he`s a big deal because everyone is going crazy when Casey steps up to the plate. So
the first to balls that were pitched to him, he missed like they were nothing and had no value like
they didn t mean anything to him and the ref called strikes

Morality In Christopher R. Browning s Ordinary Men
In the book Ordinary Men by Christopher R. Browning, he shows a different side of the
Germans during the Final Solution, and how not every last one was a terrible person, by
explaining how some men would hide from killing, opt out altogether, or say they were just
following orders. Though there were still some who embraced their newly found jobs, this book
argues there was still a sense of morality, but does not excuse the acts that took place. However,
as much as the perpetrators were emotionally scarred, and this book does show us that, there are
still some flaws in the content used to write this book. One of the first things that became
apparent to me very quickly was that this book was not like most things you read about the
Holocaust that always portrays Germans as being horrific people, and the name implies, these
were just ordinary men. Actually, some of the men in the beginning were able to opt out of the
killings. Having explained what awaited his men, Trapp then made an extraordinary offer: if
any of the older men among them did not feel up to the task that lay before him, he could step
out. (2) The men were shown empathy as their commander was letting them have an option to
not take part in what awaited them. Again, talking about the same commander, But he did not go
to the forest itself or witness the executions; his absence there was conspicuous. (59) He did
what he could to stay away from the systematic executions of the Jewish people, and his men
took note of that. However, there were some instances that almost all of the men knew something
was not okay about what they were doing. I would like to say that almost tacitly everyone
refrained from shooting infants and small children. (59) All of these accounts reinforce how the
men reacted to what they were asked to do initially, and how some opt out altogether. There were
some men though, those who wanted to be career military men that took to other ways of getting
over what they were tasked with. There came a time when the men were no longer offered an out,
and to escape the executions they would volunteer to guard, or hide out in the woods. Those who
shot did not have to live with the clear awareness that what they had done had been

Christopher Columbus s Four Voyages
Christopher Columbus took a total of four voyages, his intent was to sail west across the Atlantic
Ocean to reach Asia because he thought it would be would be shorter, safer, and less expensive
than going around Africa to the Indies. King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, who ruled Spain at
the time, funded his first voyage and promised Admiral of the Ocean Sea as long as he brought
back riches and claimed land for Spain(Meltzer 67). On August 3, 1492, Christopher Columbusset
sail from Palos, Spain, with his three ships and ninety men and headed for the Canary Islands. After
leaving the Canary Islands, he landed on the Bahamas what he thought was the coast of China. On
Christmas Eve, one of his ships, the Santa MarГa, was wrecked on the north

Why Is Modern Day Slavery Today
In 1865, the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution ended the institution of slavery.
Eventhough it was abolished, modern day slavery still exists and has evolved under a different
appearance and is known as Human Trafficking in today s society. It still harms people all around
the world.
Slavery has been continueing for centruies and forces humans to work under bad conditions.
Each year, thousands of people are trafficked across borders or internally, and exploited for
cheap labor or sexual services. People are forced to work in factories, domestic work,
agriculture. Children are taken away from their school life, education and used for child
soldiers, child marriage and child domestic slavery. Even as a child, they are forced to work or
any kind of thing that come to our mind. There are 10 millions children appointed, and more that
we have not reached yet. Women are forced into prostitution, marriage, to work under hard
conditions. There are estimated 40.3 million people in modern slavery all around the world. It is
modern day slavery with more slaves at work today than there has ever been at any point in history.
Today slavery came to a point that make it too dificult to prevent. There are many forms of

a crime against the dignity and integrity of an individual. It is the trading of human beings as
commodities but it is still the third most profitable and fastest growing criminal activity in the
world. There are 2.5 million people trafficked every year. About three out of every 1000 persons
around the world are trafficked at any given point in time. Even with the advertisments on the
television, we become slaves too. There are a lot to do to prevent this, but even a little step that

Magna Carta Research Paper Outline
Magna Carta
The Magna Carta or The Great Charter is one of the most influential documents in history till
date. The Magna Carta inspired many historical documents such as the U.S Constitution and the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The Magna Carta is a peace treaty signed in June 15,1215 between King John and the rebel barons.
The Magna Carta was made because nobles/barons caught King John breaking laws he
established. He was banned from churches by Pope Innocent III. To redeem his reputation, John
took money from barons to help the army, which was against the law. Rebel barons wanted King
John to pay for what he done. So, in May 17,1215, they captured the Tower of London. They made
a peace treaty, Magna Carta, which King John ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Magna Carta also charted the right to a fair trial and limits on taxation without
representation. This peace treaty was created because the king was going against the own laws set
by him, and the rebel barons wanted to put an end to this problem by creating a peace treaty. The
Magna Carta required that no one including the king himself must not violate the laws.
The Magna Carta is known as one of the first steps taken in England towards parliamentary
democracy. The Magna Carta is a symbol of freedom from oppression. This peace treaty inspired
the Parliament, in England. It also heavily influenced the American Bill of rights, and the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights. It inspired the U.S founding fathers to right the U.S Constitution.
The Magna Carta was made to protect basic human rights. The treaty was also contrived to limit
the king s power. King John had no intention of believing in the agreement leading to the Baron s
war. When the Baron s captured London King John was forced to negotiate with barons and
eventually sign the treaty. The 1215 Magna Carta was not the only version. In 1225 there was a

Society s Criminal Justice System
Society views many crimes , such as assault, rape, battery, robbery. Murder, and burglary as
uncommon behavior. However some crimes, like people who committed a violation of the law
against selling produce to people on the weekend is not uncommon at all. Not all uncommon acts
are illegal. The society s criminal justicesystem punishes criminals / people who have committed an
illegal acts that are interfering with the norm of society. Biases exist in the collecting and reporting
of criminal data , problems occur when people interpret the criminal statistics. For example: Victims
will not cooperate and follow the authorities demands. White Collar crimes committed by popular
individuals during the course of business normally does not show up in the Uniform crimereport.
Most white collar crime deals with bribery, embezzlement, insurance fraud, and a lot of other
crimes. These types of crime committed are varied as the types of criminals who have committed

action that the criminal chose that initiated harm must be illegal for it to be a crime. Second, the

Advantages Of High Speed Railway
In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in high speed trains. High speed railway
(HSR) has been making a great success all over the globe, particularly in china, where the
railway track will reach a total length of 30,000 Km by 2020 [1]. HSR now is one of the most
popular transportation means, which flourishes due to its unique features such as, safety, higher
commuter seat capacity, decreased fare rate, comfy journey experience, lower disruption
probability due to bad weather, as well as less fuel consumption resulting in a greener environment
as compared to the air transportation [2]. Nowadays, more and more efforts are made to meet the

Providing an internet access to passengers with high quality of service (QoS) is a key role in
attracting more travellers [3]. Wireless communication systems to provide internet access for HSR
are facing a lot of challenges such as, time varying and frequency selective fading due to multipath
propagation and Doppler shift effect [4], a high penetration loss of 10 40 dB depending on the
type of train and the angle of incidence resulting in spotty coverage and dropped calls [5], frequent
handover due to the train high motion velocity will result in an increase in the drop off rates,
degrading the overall system throughput also group handover caused by the simultaneous handover
where hundreds of devices in the same train will request to handoff at the same time, causing a
huge burden at the base station (BS) in terms of processing and resources. Moreover, an HSR
propagation channel includes multiple terrains and scenarios such as urban, suburban, rural, plains,
viaduct, tunnels, cuttings and stations [6], this variety found to cause a deep fade so we need to be
familiar with those propagation conditions and channel fading of HSR to achieve high data

manganese oxide is added to hydrogen peroxide bubbles of oxygen are given off. I know this
because flames need oxygen to burn and when the flame was introduced to the gas it got brighter
and larger.
D. Carbon dioxide gas is produced when hydrochloric acid and baking soda are mixed together. I
know this because carbon dioxide will extinguish the flame and in both my burning and glowing
splint tests the flame was extinguished.
E. Hydrogen gas is produced when Hydrochloric acid and Mossy zinc are mixed together. I know
this because when Hydrogen gas is combined with Oxygen and a flame it creates a high pitched

know a chemical change has happened.
G. Some problems we encountered was the test tubes got too hot to handle and sometimes the gas

U.s. Diplomats Work With Other Agencies And Countries
Working with other agencies and countries, the United States responds to world health problems
and monitors the spread of potentially dangerous diseases. U.S. diplomats work with other nations
and through multilateral institutions to help improve the lives of people everywhere ( How does
the US department of State engage with other Countries? ). The United States reaches out to other
countries as well, even if they cannot let a certain number of immigrants into the country.
Providing particular countries with helpful organizations from the United States, is an influential
way to start preventing illegal immigration. If the United States flourish well there should not be
an excuse to not help provide for people around the world. It does not mean illegal immigrants
have to come to our country. Helpful organizations demonstrate that America does care about
violence around the world and is making an effort to prevent violence, poverty, and hunger in
other countries. You may ask the question, What if they need to provide for their family? This is a
controversial topic throughout the world. A solution would be for them to apply for a visa right
when they are eligible. The longer they wait, the longer they could be struggling. Some women in
foreign countries have children at an early age and are stuck in a situation they cannot handle.
These countries should be more informed about how this can affect their future at such a young
age. If these women know they will not be able to

King Arthur Chivalry Code
In modern day society, the world has very strict cultural rules. In some places in the Pacific
Ocean, it is considered rude to wear shoes inside of the house, and in the southern nation of the
US it is considered rude to refer to an adult without the phrase, ma am or sir. Issues of what is
respectable or accepted have always existed since the first civilized culture. However, there is one
form of respectable manners that have followed the people throughout the growth of the world.
This form is the code of chivalry, first recognized in the Arthurian time of the knights. The knights
had to follow this code just how modern day people would follow the law. The code is created by
the moral conceptions of courage, honor, loyalty, and manners.... Show more content on

themselves worthy to be the leader of the land. However, the entire chivalric code was not fully
existing by this point of culture, there might have been the idea of strength and honor being
incredibly vital for a man s rank in social status, but the key point is man. There was no and
absolutely any wiggle room for women to be recognized as equal human beings at all. The
beginning of the Iliad even includes the unchivalric acts of the behavior towards women. Achilles
and King Agamemnon were arguing the right of having the young lady as their prize, but of
course the lady never did get any sort of say in it. The Odyssey also displayed this kind of
behavior towards females, Odysseus was very unfaithful in his relationship, while his wife was not,
but he was still questioning her loyalty and even threatened death if she was caught in a fib. Yet,
The Aeneid had a different approach to the origination to the chivalric code of treatment of women,
there was no unpleasant treatment of women, yet the female characters were still

Young Girl Named Scout By Harper Lee
In the past, it has been evident that the population of the Southern states had been composed of
many different social classes, particularly in the 1930s. In her novel, To Kill A Mockingbird,
Harper Lee clearly depicts these social classes and illustrates how diverse they make the population
of Maycomb, a fictional town where the story takes place. The main character, a young girlnamed
Scout, does not fully understand the concept of these different social classes and often fails to
recognize which one she belongs to. As the story progresses, it becomes known to the reader that
Scout is part of the highest social classin Maycomb. However, because of the conditions she is
raised in, she does not fit in with a certain group of women that this class is mainly composed of:
the Southern belles. Throughout the story, it is evident that some Maycomb women possess the
traits of a Southern Belle persona, such as while Scout does not, due to the fact that she grows up
without a mother.
The term Southern belle refers to a wealthy but well mannered young woman, often characterized
by her chaste demeanor and submissive attitude, who tries to reach perfection in almost every
aspect of her life. Some of the most important elements to being a Southern belle include grace,
manners, breeding, etiquette, and demure behavior. A Southern belle should always be polite and
gentle to the people around her and have the capability to make them feel at ease with her
friendliness and composure.

Intellectual Property Protection And Stricter Copyright Laws
With all the groups mentioned above, intellectual property protection and stricter copyright laws are
being discussed, which is a step forward in the right direction. The more these organizations reach
out to inform others that intellectual property protection is imperative, the more minds will be had
in building ideas for a better tomorrow. The biggest question is why should the average individual
care about the protection of intellectual property? The answer is, everyone should strive together as
human beings to protect each other s ideas, creations, and fortunes. If that is not a good enough
reason to persuade the average individual, then maybe protecting the loss of money from
intellectual property theft is. The economy is constantly in the news and the nation s debt is a big
concern to millions of Americans. If the United States bank account is a big concern, then people
should be worried or at least interested in the progress of intellectual property protection. The
United States financial problems cannot be fixed with the successful implementation of intellectual
property protection, but it is a positive place to start.
The best solution to protecting intellectual property globally would be to set up an Intellectual
Property Organization in every country and have those organizations report to one large
organization such as The World Intellectual Property Organization. The organization at the top of
this system could be full of scholarly individuals from

Introduction
Technical Analysis Ralph Langner s article on the Stuxnet worm discusses the hardware,
distribution and targets of the attack. He also goes into detail regarding the outlook of future
attacks and what we can do to prevent them. The Stuxnet attack was not executed to steal or erase
information. It was carried out to physically destroy a military target; Iran s Natanz nuclear facility.
The attack was aimed at industrial SCADA controllers and was a stand alone attack. It was not an
attack that required access to the Internet. The attackers relied on local networks and USB drives to

This allowed the worm to be recognized as a device driver and to not be rejected by the
Windows operating system. The early version of the worm functioned as a man in the middle
attack. It sat between the engineering software and the Siemens controllers for the input and
output valves feeding into each centrifuge. The worm would accept commands from the
engineering software and give false responses to indicate that these commands were being
processed by the controllers. In reality, the worm was regularly allowing the centrifuges to be
over pressurized, which had the effect of causing the centrifuges to wear out and break more
quickly. The later version of the software was much more crude. It would take over the
centrifuges and refuse to acknowledge signals from the engineering software while an attack was
active. The attack operated about once a month and worked by slowing down the centrifuges and
then spinning them back up to past their normal full speed. This would cause damage as the
centrifuges passed through what was known as a resonance speed, which would destabilize the
rotor. Stuxnet managed to increase the rotor speeds at Iran s Natanz nuclear facility from a normal
speed of 63,000 rpm to 84,600 rpm. The worms were carefully designed so that it would not be
obvious to someone in the facility that their mechanical systems were being sabotaged. For
example, the worm would randomly affect different centrifuges at

Summary Of The Banking Concept Of Education By Paulo Freire
Paulo Freire is an author who poses questions and arguments that challenge everything that his
readers think and know. The Banking Concept of Education from Pedagogy of the Oppressed poses
the question about the education system and how teachers are narrators and students are recorders.
In his essay he discusses how the students who he refers to as containers receive their information
from teachers. However, the teachers never communicate with their subordinates. The idea of
banking suggests that students are only receiving, memorizing and receiving facts from the
depositor which made the students depositories. The main ideas drawn from this article are related
to education, knowledge and communication.

thoughts on the subject and what he got in return was profanity, disgust and the desire to persuade
others by debating effectively. Poza shares some of his thoughts on learning to debatewith others.
First, you must know your subject well, take time to study and role play with the debating issue.
Second, sort through your thoughts and pick your strongest points to argue, and throw out any
weak points, they are not worth the debate. Lastly Poza, says don t ever admit you are wrong .

The Theory Of Evolution And The Origin Of Species
The Theory of Evolution: Grievously Hypothetical *Rough Draft* First Publicized in Charles
Darwin s On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of
Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life, The Theory of Evolution has been a widely excepted
theory all around the world. According to the Pew Research Center, approximately 60% of all
American adults believe in Darwinian evolution(Public s Views on Human Evolution). This is an
absurdly large amount of the United States population given how remarkably flawed Darwin s
theory really is. As stated in On the Origin of Species, the Theory of Evolution claims that ... new
species in the course of time are formed through natural selection(Darwin 86). The heart of this
theory is descent with modification. This suggests that over countless generations, minute genetic
variations have occurred due to mutations. These genetic variations have the ability to alter how a
species interacts with its environment. If the genetic variation deems beneficial to the species
likeliness to survive and reproduce, the mutation will be passed down to its offspring. Through
many years of completely random mutations deeming to beneficial, large enough changes occur in
a species for it to have evolved into a completely new species; this is where that phrase origin of
species comes from in the title of Darwin s publication. The Theory of Evolution also encompasses
common descent, an idea claiming that: ... all living

The Lasting Influences of the Classical World on Other...
The Lasting Influences of the Classical World on Other Cultures across Time Drama and dramatic
performances have consistently been present throughout human society, both as a medium for
entertainment as well as a forum for education and critique. Aristophanes, the father of modern
drama , was the first to really successfully amalgamate these two ideas together within his
dramatic pieces, as can be seen in his works Wasps and Frogs. Shakespeare was the next great
dramatist, and arguably the great dramatist, and he has evolved Aristophanes ideas and methods
and developed them to greater extent. These can be seen in works such as A Midsummer Night s
Dream, King Lear and Hamlet, but are present in the large majority of his works. And with... Show

Here the First Dog, representative of Cleon, is accusing Laches not of having siciliating
(embezzling) cheese (money) but of not having given the first dog his fair share. How can
anyone claim to be serving your interests if I, the Dog, am not given my fair share? says the first
dog. Aristophanes uses the character of the dog to highlight the corruption of Cleon and how he
has his fingers in all of the proverbial pies. He also uses the parabasis to criticise the jurymen of
Athens, comparing the jurymen to wasps and highlighting to the Athenians how the jurymen are
prone to harsh sentencing and unjust treatment of the accused: if you haven t got a sting, you get
no jury fee. The entire play is Aristophanes comments on the corruption of the jurymen, and their
exploitation by the demagogue Cleon. Philocleon personifies the self interested, corrupt jurymen,
who are taking incentives from Cleon (an increased pay) to judge harshly and sentence even
more so. Cleon was using these trials to gain public appraisal as a seeker of justice, of course at
the expense of the accused, which had been treated with an injustice by the jurymen eager to get
their pay. Thus Aristophanes is enlightening the audience about the nature of their jury system, and
is appealing to them to fix it. Likewise, Shakespeare addresses the issue of corruption within his
play Hamlet. While not drawn from a real life example (at least, not one that is known), he uses the
character of Claudius to

Chapter 11: Performance Management
Multinational performance management
MNEs have specific expectations for each of its foreign subsidiaries, cooperative ventures and other
forms of operations modes, in terms of market performance and contribution to total profits and
competitiveness. It is important to recognise constraints that affect goal attainment when evaluating
subsidiary performance. These include: * Whole versus part a multinational is a single entity that
faces a global environment. Integration and control imperative often place the multinational in the
positions where it decides that the good of the whole is more important than the subsidiary s short
term profitability. * Volatility of the global environment because subsidiaries operate under such
volatility and fluctuation, they must tailor long term goals to the specific situation in a given
market. Problems arise when subsidiary managers perceive that goals are set by distant HQs
strategy team are unrealistic and inflexible, due to a failure to take into account local conditions
that change as a result of a volatile environment. * Separation by

Nietzsche s On The Genealogy Of Morality
In section 13 of Friedrich Nietzsche s On the Genealogy of Morality, he presents his audience
with a metaphor, That the lambs feel anger toward the great birds of prey does not strike us as
odd: but that is no reason for holding it against the great birds of prey that they snatch up the little
lambs for themselves. (Section 13, 25). In this passage, Nietzsche details the complex relationship
between the birds of prey and the lambs. Firstly, I argue that the birds of prey represent the noble
class, and the lambs represent the slave class. This metaphor offers insight into their complex
relationship that ultimately led to a shift from noble to slave morality. Secondly, I argue that this
metaphor aids Nietzsche s broader goals in this piece by explaining the... Show more content on

In section 13, Nietzsche begins by saying, But let us come back: the problem of the other origin
of good, of the good one was conceived by the man of ressentiment, demands its conclusion.
(Section 13, 25). Here Nietzsche is setting up who the lambs represent in his moral theory. He is
arguing that whomever falls under the category of the man of ressentiment is also the group who
originated their own definition of good. This group of people would be the slaves or the lambs.
When Nietzsche says, the man of ressentiment he is talking about a very specific emotion that
occurred between the lambs and the birds of prey. When the slaves saw how powerful, noble, and

John Keith Atkinson s Life aa a Child Laborour Essay
John Keith Atkinson was the son of former agricultural labourers James and Mary Atkinson.
They moved to Holmeside to work in Outcote Mill when their agricultural employer s farm was
sold by the landowner to another landowner to make his holdings bigger and more profitable.
With their jobs gone and their tied home lost, they followed other migrants into the town. John
was an infant when they moved. In Holmeside the Atkinson family, including five children, lived
in the fusty cellar of an already crowded house that gave rude shelter to four families besides
them. Two families occupied two upstairs bedrooms, and another two lived in a single ground
floor room. The parents of all five families and the older children worked at Staithes mill.... Show

There, children learned through beatings, deprivation, and fear to yield to their keeper. Keepers
tormented their minds, abused their bodies, and determined every other aspect of their existence.
Like most pauper children, John grew morose and sullen. He lacked the spontaneity of normal
children, and lived in permanent dread that another tragedy might crush him. He remembered the
day he and sixty other children were ordered to make paper parcels of their belongings. Brown
paper and string were provided. With their bundles, they were packed like sardines into the back of
two horse drawn caravans and trundled over rough roads for a week before arriving at Outcote Mill.
They were bruised and in pain from their confinement, having had no room to stretch their limbs
during the journey. Jumping down from the carts at journey s end sent shafts of pain through them.
From the moment he arrived in the care of Reynold Walkden Staithes, young Atkinson was nothing
but a factory apprentice, one of many whose individuality and needs were disregarded. This was his
introduction to the apprentice system that was purportedly governed by humane regulations. The
provisions of the law not being applied, the result was that appalling cruelties were routinely visited
upon apprentice children. Manufacturing industries got into their stride as the seventeenth century

The Importance Of Internet On The Internet
Nowadays, internet has been one of the most important things in human s life. It is an unseen
bridge that allows people to access the world. A fast flow of information and communication are
what provided in internet. Any information we need is easily gained without limited by time and
space. Internet is a huge mediato allow humans connect each other. Whatever are the events in
one part of the world, will quickly be recognized by those who are on the other side. By the
development of information technology, people now are able to have a social relationship in
internet. The media which enable them to establish a relationship virtually are called as social
networks (or social media). Numerous social networks are widely used today. Facebook, twitter,
Blackberry Messenger, and WhatsApp are few of them, following the steps of Friendster as the
pioneer back then. Some features like chatting and video call are what people served with.
However, chatting and calling are not the only things we can do in social networks. There is
also trading as one of the most rapid activities people do other than those basic functions. As
media with almost no charge needed in using them, social networks are very powerful tools of
promotion for those who just start a small business, or want to run the business with limited
time, access and budget. They can be used also to sell unused stuffs. Massive number of users,
especially facebook, has created a big market and opportunities for sellers to trade their products.
It is also very useful when someone wants to look for the things he needs and buys, without have
to get the new one with higher price. Trading forums as a modified form of facebook group is a
feature provided by facebook that allows its members to sell things. In selling things through posts,
they often (with or without they realize) created and used special forms of terms or modified
words. Evidently, the languages used by those members are very different from what usually used
in daily conversation. It is even different from slang languagecommonly used in chatting or sms.
Normally, one posts an advertisement in the group with description inserted with some new words.

Copper is one of the earliest elements known to man. Because of its distinct red color, Copper is
very easily identified. In the ancient times, copper could be found lying in the ground in its

uses in today s society.
Copper has many chemical properties that make it unique. The Atomic number of copper is 29. An
Atomic number is a measure of the amount of protons in the nucleus of an atom. Protons are sub

Copper does not rust and when in water, it turns reddish orange. After prolonged exposure, Copper
develops a coat of green film called patina. This film protects it against further exposure. Also,
rolled Copper has a tensile strength from 50,000 to 70,000 pounds per square inch. Tensile strength
is the maximum strength a material can stand before breaking.
Early uses of the element include jewelry, weapons, and tools. The element was first used
around 9000 b.c.e. and was found in northern Iraq. Copper was first used by Native Americans
around 2500 b.c.e. One of the first skills that the ancient coppersmith must have learned how to
do was shape the metal, possibly by heating. This element was first used to its full potential when
Coppersmiths began to use tin with copper to make an alloy called bronze. An alloy is a mixture
of two or more metals with properties differs from those of the individual metal. The alloy was
first discovered as early as 4000 b.c.e. Bronze was used similar to copper due to the many variety
of tools, weapons, and jewelry that are created from the alloy. It differs from copper in the way that
with tin added, the alloy is a better conductor and easier to shape than the metal alone. Copper was
used as the primary metal of the world to around 3000 b.c.e when society discovered iron. Many
copper compounds are used in today s agricultural, medical, and pest control jobs. Copper Acetate

A Brief Note On The Pollution Control Programme
1.1.1Extra fuel consumption
Due to traffic jam, extra fuel consumption is a big problem for a developing country like India.
The government is buying this extra amount of fuel with hard cash. This is considered a national
loss.
1.1.2Vehicle operating cost
Vehicle operating cost is directly proportionate to the traffic jam. A vehicleoperator applies more
breaks and accelerates again and again. So, the lifetime of vehicle parts and fuel consumption will
be more in road jams. Traffic jam actually increases VOC. Figure 8: Mapping of congestion cost

Sleeping and Dreaming Essay
Sleeping and Dreaming
Despite the large amount of time we spend asleep, surprisingly little is actually known about
sleeping and dreaming. Much has been imagined, however. Over history, sleep has been
conceived as the space of the soul, as a state of absence akin to death, as a virtual or alternate
reality, and more recently, as a form of (sub)consciousness in which memories are built and erased.
The significance attributed to dreams has varied widely as well. The Ancient Greeks had surprise
dream encounters with their gods. Native Americans turned to their dreams for guidance in life.
Shamans dreamed in order to gather information from the spirits.

According to Professor Van Dongen, the functions of sleep and dreams are still largely unclear to
scientists. Whereas artists and humanists have long been concerned with sleep and dream states,
the sciences mostly ignored it until the discovery was made that there is brain activity during
sleep. It has now been documented that sleep is a necessity for health, for well being, for the
ability to think clearly that is, for the overall quality of wakefulness. While much is known about
the neurobiological underpinnings of sleep and dreams, however, the reasons behind these
processes are still a mystery, and the question what are sleeping and dreaming for? awaits definitive
answers. Under the circumstances, humanists have much to offer, not only to each other but to
science as well, for the understanding of this fundamental aspect of life.

WHY AN ONLINE SCHEDULE MAKER IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TOOL A BUSINESS
SHOULD HAVE Creating effective employee schedules, whether manually or via an online
schedule maker, is an art form that requires an analytical brain, common sense, and a clear
understanding of business goals. Work schedules, or employee schedules, are necessary if work
or tasks are to be completed in a well organized manner. Effective schedules have time and again
been compared to good motor oil. When they work as they are expected to, good schedules can
actually help businesses to accomplish maximum performance. On the other hand, just like
cheap oil, hopeless schedules can practically drive a business to a halt. When employees come to
the office without an idea on what to do and when to do it, it affects their morale mainly because
they don t have proper schedules to serve their skills and needs and this eventually affects their
productivity and career growth. Generally, a good work schedule can be described as a schedule
that drives employees to the right place, to the right tasks, and at the right time. Without proper
employee scheduling, there will always be conflicts that can create chaos, particularly during peak
hours. A good schedule empowers employees to become more productive and in the same way, a
good schedule empowers a business to deliver only the best to their customers. A proper schedule
also happens to be transparent. This way, employees are not likely to be irritated about particular

Differences Between Igbo And American Culture
Igbo and Americans share various cultural aspects, such as language, and weddings. Although the
two cultures are not alike completely they do have some similarities. The Igbo and American
cultures have many commonalities and differences. In the Igbo culture language is regularly used
to express honor towards one another. They have a unique way of addressing each other, and their
Gods. Communication in their culture is formal. For instance, when Okonkwo pleaded with the
priestess that his Ezinma was ill, The priestess screamed Beware Okonkwo she warned...Does a
man speak when a God speaks? Beware! (Achebe 101)Gods and people with authority get the
privilege of talking while people below them must wait and address with in the right

Debate On Morality With And Without God
M. SURBER
BCOR
STEP II: PAPER OUTLINE
Topic of debate: Morality with/without God
I.Introduction:
a.Throughout my life I have been involved in a dynamic battle that always comes back to one
question: Is there such a thing as God ? I have been raised up in a pretty much non practicing
Christian home. Growing up in this type of lifestyle I have encountered a multitude of different
belief systems that were either Secular or Christian like. But with this debate of if God is real or not,
I have come across the issue of how to walk out my life with the time that I have. This paper will
go through the debate of the topic of morality in secular mindsets, and Christian mindsets. I hope
to help you, my reader, understand the questions: Does morality require God, or is it possible to
be a moral atheist? If not, then where does morality s basis come from in a secular world? And
how do Christians and Secularist think similarly and differently on the topics of morality.
b.Talk about the debate between morality in Christian thought and secular:
i.Is morality good centrally because it is good, or is morality good because it is an attribute of God?
II.THESIS:
a.Christians and secularist have different points of view when it comes down to belief in God,
however all of mankind has morality written into our DNA. This can be seen in secularist through
understanding the secular mindset through modernism and its evolution of reason out of Darwin s
theories. This also can be seen

Being Sane In Insane Places Analysis
Being Sane in Insane Places Psychiatry has come a long way since David Rosenhans experiment
in the early 1970 s, but even today it is no where near perfect. I believe that even todays
psychiatrists rush through each patient and loads them up on pills they think will work to try and
fix whateerproblem they have. You don t think so? Here take some Respirdal. Rosenhan s main
point was to test whether their skills were up to date with what control they had. Rosenhan was
critical with the amount of control that psychiatrists had. So his experiment came to mind. He and
his friends planned to test them to see if they knew that they were sane by saying they heard a
voice saying thud, than when/if they were admitted they would tell them they were all better. At
the end of the experiment they found that once you were admitted, you were in a different world
and no longer seen as a human being. They would change uniforms in front of them and not expect
any kind of reaction, also they were beat the patients as if they didn t feel... Show more content on

Sustainability Is Not Green
What is sustainability? In contemporary design, sustainability is a furious warrior under a green
coat. People usually attribute sustainability with the color green, essence of nature or love and care
for mother earth. In the context of construction, this means placing plants in buildings, installing
green roofs and use local construction materials. Sustainability is much more than a green coat
concept draped over buildings. Sustainability is strong, a courageous idea that would change the
future.
To sustain is to withstand and endure without giving away. A sustainable civilization should not
empty natural resources and endanger the environment. To sustain is ...to meet the needs of the
present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Preservation runs parallel with the concept of sustainability. To sustain is to preserve the current.
To Sustain is to discard the idea of wastefulness. Concern about the environment and preservation
of natural resource had become a heated debate among citizens, designers, and politics. United
States alone uses a significant among of world s energy and produces a great amount of
greenhouse gas. According to U.S. Department of Energy s EIA for 2007, commercial and
residential buildings consume about 40 percent of the energy usage in the United States. Building
constructions plays an important role in sustainable development and environmental preservation
because building life cycle starts with

Socialising On The Internet
Using the internet to socialise is an increasingly popular activity. Some of the most popular
websites for this are Facebook, twitter, bebo, msn and many others. Social networking is when
you speak to other people through the internet. Facebook is by far the most popular with over
500 million users and 250 million of them logging in everyday. Twitter is not far behind Facebook
with over 177 million users. With social network sites you can keep in touch everyday and you can
share your photos and news with hundreds of people. There are many advantages and disadvantages
of socialising on the internet.
One reason why people use the internet to socialise is because it s easy to meet people from all

Strangers stealing your identity can give them access to private documents such as credit cards or
bank details. Revealing your name and date of birth through these sites as well as pet names or
nicknames is a gift to fraudsters as often people use nicknames or pentanes as passwords for
private information. Online banking fraud has increased by 44%. It is estimated that identity fraud
costs the UK ВЈ1.7 billion a year and is the fastest growing crime.
In conclusion, I think the internet is a great way to socialise with people from all over the world
and communicate with lost family members and old friends but I think people should be a lot
more careful when speaking to strangers. You should not give out any bank details or personal
information through these sites and should be more aware of frauds and paedophiles. Although the
internet is a great way to play games and meet new people, people need to be aware of the many
dangers that social networking

The Brazilian Immigration Policy And The Constitution Of...
What make us think that the intention of the country is only to take advantage of foreign labor.
Because of this, a change is necessary so that the regulation is more suited to new world reality,
where we live in a globalized world. A world quite different from 80 s that time for example there
was no internet. Not only for this reason but for the reasons which I will show below is necessary
that the law be rewritten.
The Brazilian immigration policy presents problems like the exaggerated national security idea, the
lack of a specific immigration s govern department , the bureaucracy to get documents like visa and
work permits, the difficult of social inclusion to the immigrants . Include some concepts in the law
immigrants goes against the Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil. According
(Wermuth, 2015) due the absence of more appropriate law to the changing times, the country has
been dealing with immigration authoritarian and truculent manner, particularity through the work
of the federal police, which is responsible for the care of immigrants for processing their Brazilian
documentation.
The excessive bureaucracy hinders the process of obtaining documentation for foreigners.
According to the (MartГn, 2015) for years Brazil intents attract skilled labor , but progresses much
more slowly than needs of a market that would need six million foreign professionals. .According
Canadian consulting Brookfield Global Relocation Services, it is the second country with the

Causes And Risks Of Red Meat
Risks in Red Meats
Red meat is consumed in mass amounts all over the world. However, there are risks involved in
consuming so much red meat. Past research has tied red meat to increased risks of diabetes,
cardiovascular disease, certain cancers, as well as mad cow disease. Red meat intake also has an
increased risk of mortality and detrimental effects on the environment. What is put into the meat
when it is processed adds to these risks. There are some benefits to eating red meat such as getting
essential vitamins and minerals like B 12 and iron. It also gives people protein and helps make
red blood cells. Too much red meat intake negatively affects people s health, causes many
problems, and creates increased risks for diseases and certain cancers.
There are many risks when people eat high levels of red meat. A study suggests that the link
between consumption of red meat and heart disease may stem from gut microbes breaking down
carnitine, a compound found in red meat. These microbes help break down food, in the process
forming a variety of small compounds. One of these compounds is trimethylamine, which can be
metabolized to form trimethylamine N oxide (TMAO). TMAO has been associated with
atherosclerosis, a disease in which fat builds up in the arteries. A team led by Dr. Stanley L.
Hazen and Robert A. Koeth asked people to consume beef and a carnitine supplement, regular
meat eaters produced more TMAO than vegans or vegetarians (Torgan 2013). When participants
took antibiotics to suppress gut microbes, they produced less TMAO after eating carnitine
(Torgan 2013). This study suggests that gut microbes are involved in the production of TMAO
from carnitine putting people more at risk for heart disease and cardiac events like heart attacks,
strokes, and death as well as atherosclerosis. These health issues lead to cardiovascular risk and
disease.
Red meat consumption is associated with increased risk of type 2 diabetes. A study found that
three extra servings of red meat every week increases the risk of developing diabetes by 50 percent
(qtd. by Scutti, 2013). With increased intake of red meat there is a higher risk for people to get
type 2 diabetes. Reducing red meat consumption by 0.5 servings per day had a

  • 2. The Life Of Fredrick Douglass, An American Slave Ironically inhumane. Maybe not ironic at all. Forced labor of humans being considered humane almost seems impossible. Everyone is human, they feel pain, excitement, emotion, actually maybe not emotion. Emotions are typically innate, sadness, happiness, but what about empathy? Slavery brought extreme empathy to some, but showed the void of empathy in others. Those lacking empathy can either be violent or depressed. They cannot feel for others, have no reason to try to find a connection. One major question exists, is empathy a learned emotion? Throughout the moving, enlightening, and harsh Fredrick Douglass autobiography, Narrative of the Life of Fredrick Douglass, an American Slave, the former slave truly reflects on what the public is being kept from hearing about: actual slave attitudes. Written in 1845, around the time the strongest abolitionist movements were in the beginning stages, the recently freed slave provided a semi live feed of what reality for the slave is truly like. With his stories of an abandoned childhood and an under privileged education, Douglass provides the reader with the feelings, sights, and smells of living in his shoes. Taking a retrospective view of the topic, one can jump to the conclusion of slaverybeing an obvious example of inhumane labor, and one that needed to be dismantled immediately. Looking at it from the point of view of an average individual living among others in the recently formed United States republic, one may be able to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Stockholm Syndrome In Child Soldiers When caught in a life threatening situation, we often feel that we do not have control over the outcome, when in reality, we do. Phycological research concludes that our brains take over for us during traumatizing times, usually without us even realizing it. A common area where our brains take an automatic route is in situations of exploitation, specifically in those who are exploited. One of the common thinking routes is Stockholm syndrome, a psychological phenomenon that causes those who are in stressful situations to develop a feeling of trust for who/what is causing them distress. The author makes it where we expect something totally different then what`s about to happen. Also I think the author uses it to tell the story better. I think this because in the beginning of the story all the people were excited because Casey was coming up to bat like they were screaming his name and everything. So that makes the reader think he`s a big deal because everyone is going crazy when Casey steps up to the plate. • 5. Morality In Christopher R. Browning s Ordinary Men In the book Ordinary Men by Christopher R. Browning, he shows a different side of the Germans during the Final Solution, and how not every last one was a terrible person, by explaining how some men would hide from killing, opt out altogether, or say they were just following orders. Though there were still some who embraced their newly found jobs, this book argues there was still a sense of morality, but does not excuse the acts that took place. However, as much as the perpetrators were emotionally scarred, and this book does show us that, there are still some flaws in the content used to write this book. One of the first things that became apparent to me very quickly was that this book was not like most things you read about the Holocaust that always portrays Germans as being horrific people, and the name implies, these were just ordinary men. Actually, some of the men in the beginning were able to opt out of the killings. Having explained what awaited his men, Trapp then made an extraordinary offer: if any of the older men among them did not feel up to the task that lay before him, he could step out. (2) The men were shown empathy as their commander was letting them have an option to not take part in what awaited them. Again, talking about the same commander, But he did not go to the forest itself or witness the executions; his absence there was conspicuous. (59) He did what he could to stay away from the systematic executions of the Jewish people, and his men took note of that. However, there were some instances that almost all of the men knew something was not okay about what they were doing. I would like to say that almost tacitly everyone refrained from shooting infants and small children. (59) All of these accounts reinforce how the men reacted to what they were asked to do initially, and how some opt out altogether. There were some men though, those who wanted to be career military men that took to other ways of getting over what they were tasked with. There came a time when the men were no longer offered an out, and to escape the executions they would volunteer to guard, or hide out in the woods. Those who shot did not have to live with the clear awareness that what they had done had been ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Magna Carta is a peace treaty signed in June 15,1215 between King John and the rebel barons. The Magna Carta was made because nobles/barons caught King John breaking laws he established. In some places in the Pacific Ocean, it is considered rude to wear shoes inside of the house, and in the southern nation of the US it is considered rude to refer to an adult without the phrase, ma am or sir. Issues of what is respectable or accepted have always existed since the first civilized culture. However, there is one form of respectable manners that have followed the people throughout the growth of the world. In her novel, To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee clearly depicts these social classes and illustrates how diverse they make the population of Maycomb, a fictional town where the story takes place. The main character, a young girlnamed Scout, does not fully understand the concept of these different social classes and often fails to recognize which one she belongs to. As the story progresses, it becomes known to the reader that Scout is part of the highest social classin Maycomb. However, because of the conditions she is raised in, she does not fit in with a certain group of women that this class is mainly composed of: the Southern belles. Throughout the story, it is evident that some Maycomb women possess the traits of a Southern Belle persona, such as while Scout does not, due to the fact that she grows up without a mother. The term Southern belle refers to a wealthy but well mannered young woman, often characterized by her chaste demeanor and submissive attitude, who tries to reach perfection in almost every aspect of her life. Some of the most important elements to being a Southern belle include grace, manners, breeding, etiquette, and demure behavior. This allowed the worm to be recognized as a device driver and to not be rejected by the Windows operating system. The early version of the worm functioned as a man in the middle attack. It sat between the engineering software and the Siemens controllers for the input and output valves feeding into each centrifuge. The worm would accept commands from the engineering software and give false responses to indicate that these commands were being processed by the controllers. In reality, the worm was regularly allowing the centrifuges to be over pressurized, which had the effect of causing the centrifuges to wear out and break more quickly. The later version of the software was much more crude. It would take over the centrifuges and refuse to acknowledge signals from the engineering software while an attack was active. The attack operated about once a month and worked by slowing down the centrifuges and then spinning them back up to past their normal full speed. This would cause damage as the centrifuges passed through what was known as a resonance speed, which would destabilize the rotor. Stuxnet managed to increase the rotor speeds at Iran s Natanz nuclear facility from a normal speed of 63,000 rpm to 84,600 rpm. The Theory Of Evolution And The Origin Of Species The Theory of Evolution: Grievously Hypothetical *Rough Draft* First Publicized in Charles Darwin s On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life, The Theory of Evolution has been a widely excepted theory all around the world. According to the Pew Research Center, approximately 60% of all American adults believe in Darwinian evolution(Public s Views on Human Evolution). This is an absurdly large amount of the United States population given how remarkably flawed Darwin s theory really is. As stated in On the Origin of Species, the Theory of Evolution claims that ... new species in the course of time are formed through natural selection(Darwin 86). The heart of this theory is descent with modification. This suggests that over countless generations, minute genetic variations have occurred due to mutations. These genetic variations have the ability to alter how a species interacts with its environment. If the genetic variation deems beneficial to the species likeliness to survive and reproduce, the mutation will be passed down to its offspring. Through many years of completely random mutations deeming to beneficial, large enough changes occur in a species for it to have evolved into a completely new species; this is where that phrase origin of species comes from in the title of Darwin s publication. Aristophanes uses the character of the dog to highlight the corruption of Cleon and how he has his fingers in all of the proverbial pies. These include: * Whole versus part a multinational is a single entity that faces a global environment. Integration and control imperative often place the multinational in the positions where it decides that the good of the whole is more important than the subsidiary s short term profitability. * Volatility of the global environment because subsidiaries operate under such volatility and fluctuation, they must tailor long term goals to the specific situation in a given market. Nietzsche s On The Genealogy Of Morality In section 13 of Friedrich Nietzsche s On the Genealogy of Morality, he presents his audience with a metaphor, That the lambs feel anger toward the great birds of prey does not strike us as odd: but that is no reason for holding it against the great birds of prey that they snatch up the little lambs for themselves. (Section 13, 25). In this passage, Nietzsche details the complex relationship between the birds of prey and the lambs. Firstly, I argue that the birds of prey represent the noble class, and the lambs represent the slave class. This metaphor offers insight into their complex relationship that ultimately led to a shift from noble to slave morality. (Section 13, 25). Here Nietzsche is setting up who the lambs represent in his moral theory. They moved to Holmeside to work in Outcote Mill when their agricultural employer s farm was sold by the landowner to another landowner to make his holdings bigger and more profitable. With their jobs gone and their tied home lost, they followed other migrants into the town. John was an infant when they moved. In Holmeside the Atkinson family, including five children, lived in the fusty cellar of an already crowded house that gave rude shelter to four families besides them. Keepers tormented their minds, abused their bodies, and determined every other aspect of their existence. Like most pauper children, John grew morose and sullen. He lacked the spontaneity of normal children, and lived in permanent dread that another tragedy might crush him. He remembered the day he and sixty other children were ordered to make paper parcels of their belongings. Brown paper and string were provided. With their bundles, they were packed like sardines into the back of two horse drawn caravans and trundled over rough roads for a week before arriving at Outcote Mill. They were bruised and in pain from their confinement, having had no room to stretch their limbs during the journey. Jumping down from the carts at journey s end sent shafts of pain through them. From the moment he arrived in the care of Reynold Walkden Staithes, young Atkinson was nothing but a factory apprentice, one of many whose individuality and needs were disregarded. This was his introduction to the apprentice system that was purportedly governed by humane regulations. The provisions of the law not being applied, the result was that appalling cruelties were routinely visited upon apprentice children. WHY AN ONLINE SCHEDULE MAKER IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TOOL A BUSINESS SHOULD HAVE Creating effective employee schedules, whether manually or via an online schedule maker, is an art form that requires an analytical brain, common sense, and a clear understanding of business goals. Work schedules, or employee schedules, are necessary if work or tasks are to be completed in a well organized manner. Effective schedules have time and again been compared to good motor oil. When they work as they are expected to, good schedules can actually help businesses to accomplish maximum performance. On the other hand, just like cheap oil, hopeless schedules can practically drive a business to a halt. When employees come to the office without an idea on what to do and when to do it, it affects their morale mainly because they don t have proper schedules to serve their skills and needs and this eventually affects their productivity and career growth. Generally, a good work schedule can be described as a schedule that drives employees to the right place, to the right tasks, and at the right time. Without proper employee scheduling, there will always be conflicts that can create chaos, particularly during peak hours. Here take some Respirdal. Rosenhan s main point was to test whether their skills were up to date with what control they had. Rosenhan was critical with the amount of control that psychiatrists had. So his experiment came to mind. He and his friends planned to test them to see if they knew that they were sane by saying they heard a voice saying thud, than when/if they were admitted they would tell them they were all better. At the end of the experiment they found that once you were admitted, you were in a different world and no longer seen as a human being. They would change uniforms in front of them and not expect any kind of reaction, also they were beat the patients as if they didn t feel... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 46. Sustainability Is Not Green What is sustainability? In contemporary design, sustainability is a furious warrior under a green coat. People usually attribute sustainability with the color green, essence of nature or love and care for mother earth. In the context of construction, this means placing plants in buildings, installing green roofs and use local construction materials. Sustainability is much more than a green coat concept draped over buildings. Sustainability is strong, a courageous idea that would change the future. To sustain is to withstand and endure without giving away. A sustainable civilization should not empty natural resources and endanger the environment. To sustain is ...to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Preservation runs parallel with the concept of sustainability. To sustain is to preserve the current. To Sustain is to discard the idea of wastefulness. Concern about the environment and preservation of natural resource had become a heated debate among citizens, designers, and politics. United States alone uses a significant among of world s energy and produces a great amount of greenhouse gas. According to U.S. Department of Energy s EIA for 2007, commercial and residential buildings consume about 40 percent of the energy usage in the United States. Strangers stealing your identity can give them access to private documents such as credit cards or bank details. Revealing your name and date of birth through these sites as well as pet names or nicknames is a gift to fraudsters as often people use nicknames or pentanes as passwords for private information. Online banking fraud has increased by 44%. It is estimated that identity fraud costs the UK ВЈ1.7 billion a year and is the fastest growing crime. Because of this, a change is necessary so that the regulation is more suited to new world reality, where we live in a globalized world. A world quite different from 80 s that time for example there was no internet. Not only for this reason but for the reasons which I will show below is necessary that the law be rewritten. • 49. Causes And Risks Of Red Meat Risks in Red Meats Red meat is consumed in mass amounts all over the world. However, there are risks involved in consuming so much red meat. Past research has tied red meat to increased risks of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, certain cancers, as well as mad cow disease. Red meat intake also has an increased risk of mortality and detrimental effects on the environment. What is put into the meat when it is processed adds to these risks. There are some benefits to eating red meat such as getting essential vitamins and minerals like B 12 and iron. It also gives people protein and helps make red blood cells. Too much red meat intake negatively affects people s health, causes many problems, and creates increased risks for diseases and certain cancers. There are many risks when people eat high levels of red meat. A study suggests that the link between consumption of red meat and heart disease may stem from gut microbes breaking down carnitine, a compound found in red meat. These microbes help break down food, in the process forming a variety of small compounds. One of these compounds is trimethylamine, which can be metabolized to form trimethylamine N oxide (TMAO). TMAO has been associated with atherosclerosis, a disease in which fat builds up in the arteries. A team led by Dr. Stanley L. Hazen and Robert A. Koeth asked people to consume beef and a carnitine supplement, regular meat eaters produced more TMAO than vegans or vegetarians (Torgan 2013). When participants took antibiotics to suppress gut microbes, they produced less TMAO after eating carnitine (Torgan 2013). This study suggests that gut microbes are involved in the production of TMAO from carnitine putting people more at risk for heart disease and cardiac events like heart attacks, strokes, and death as well as atherosclerosis. These health issues lead to cardiovascular risk and disease. Red meat consumption is associated with increased risk of type 2 diabetes. A study found that three extra servings of red meat every week increases the risk of developing diabetes by 50 percent (qtd. by Scutti, 2013). With increased intake of red meat there is a higher risk for people to get type 2 diabetes. Reducing red meat consumption by 0.5 servings per day had a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
