5. Premeable:
• The KVK of Narayangaon was established on June 2010 under
the agris of Gramonnati Mandal.
• It covers six talukas of North Pune district, viz. Junnar,
Ambegaon, Khed, Shirur, Maval and Mulshi
 Objectives of KVK:
● To conduct on farming test for identifying technology in terms of
location specific sustainable land use system.
● Extension program to create awareness about improve technologies
among farmers.
● To organize FLD on various topics and crops to generate production
data and feedback information.

6.  Functioning of KVK:-
• KVK focuses primary on increasing the crop production level of local
farmers by providing then with various technical inputs and services.
• KVK has been functioning as an earning source for the dropouts and
degree holders in agriculture and allied discipline and to certified
professionals
• To provide practical farming facilities to the teachers, students ,farmers
who Visited to the KVK
• To provide and supply high quality planting material to the farmers
• To organize training programs for farmers and extension workers.

20. • The Indian Council Agriculture Research Centre For Onion &
Garlic Was Established In Nashik in the Year 1994.
• Later the Centre was shifted to Rajgurunagar,Pune On 16th
June, 1998.
• The Centre Was Upgraded to Directorate Of Onion & Garlic
Research (DOGR),In December 2008.
• It also has an All India Network Research Project on Onion &
Garlic with 25 participating centers all over the country
