Attitudes Toward Nature In Early Modern Europe
To explore how attitudes to nature changed in early modern Europe, we must first understand how
nature was perceived in the pre modern era. This essay will look into the pre modern Christian
theological view, before exploring the early modern era that was largely shaped by the scientific
revolution and ideas of humanism that developed during the renaissance.
Attitudes towards nature in the pre modern or medieval period, were largely based on Christian
theological views and Aristotelian science. Despite the two usually seen as complete opposites,
religion and God s plan were often considered the scientific explanation, to things such as gravity. The
Earth was viewed as the centre of the universe, created by God. Aristotelian science was mainly ...

Nature was no longer seen as something wild and untameable, instead it was seen as a human right to
tame it and to exploit it and use it for the benefit of human society. The work or Kepler, Descartes and
Bacon also largely showed humans to be superior and that we should exercise our control over the
once wild seeming nature. Minding of the land had its roots during the scientific revolution, and had a
big impact on attitudes to nature. Nature was seen to be a selfish woman who was keeping her
precious stones and minerals to herself, and it was man s right to take these minerals and use it for our
own benefit, doing this through mining. The chain of being also had a great impact on the changing
attitudes, as it quite literally showed humans to be superior to nature. And once again gave way to the
idea that humans have a right to domineer over

Essay about Developing My Critical Thinking Skills
Given the especially large number of students you see each semester, I don t expect any recollection of
my presence in your COMM150 class I certainly wasn t an exemplary enough student to have left any
lasting memories (which is both good and bad). But I wanted to share with you a small anecdote,
because four years later I ve realized that your class served as an important catalyst in the
development of my critical thinking abilities.
As a freshmen at the Altoona campus, I took your class on a whim because I needed a Comm class. Of
course I was confident (re: cocky) in my abilities, so I didn t study for exams and ended up in a bad
place part way through the semester. That s when you offered an extra credit assignment that required

Do the Right Thing is a 1989 film by Spike Lee. According to Entertainment Weekly, it is one of the
25 most controversial films ever. It was deemed culturally significant by the Library of Congress in
1999, and then placed in the National Film Registry. The story follows the lives of citizens of the
Bedford Stuyvesant District in New York City, on the hottest day of the summer, and what they do to
cope with the heat. To summarize the entire plot it ends in a riot. I d like to analyze some of the
situations found in the movie, and discuss how, if at all, it related to race relations in America. When
watching the film, I wasn t overly interested in the plot. Nothing interesting happened (until the end of
the movie) and there was nothing that made me (as a viewer) intrigued to continue watching. What I
found important, however, was the character portrayals in the movie, and this is what kept me
watching. I m not sure what Lee wanted from this movie, because to me, it seemed as if he was being
a) overtly racist towards non African Americans, and b) stereotypical of his own race. Throughout the
movie I was astounded by the portrayal of the black characters in this movie. Specifically, Buggin Out
s character. While I realize that the character s name is a direct reference to his personality, I think Lee
went a bit too far. For example, when the white cyclist accidentally scuffed his

Little Brother Succeeds By Cory Doctorow
In all mediums of storytelling, storylines never follow a singular plots. Writers often attempt to shovel
in various subplots as a means of trying to captivate audiences who are not as interested by the main
story. These subplots often revolve around the main story in the sense that they coexist but do not
affect it. This entirely ruins the purpose of including subplots, as they should intertwine with and
almost become a part of the main plotline. This is where Cory Doctorow s novel Little Brother
succeeds. Throughout the novel, Doctorow focuses mainly on the story of Marcus Yallow, a high
schooler living in San Francisco with gifted abilities in hacking, and his friends as he fights the
manipulative government branch: The Department of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He writes Ange and Marcus characters so that together, they have a natural chemistry together in both
dialogue and actions. At one point, near the middle of the novel, Marcus and Ange go out on date to
one of Ange s favorite restaurants. The two decide to go to a burrito place. While there, Ange pulls out
a stainless steel canister and excessively sprays her burrito with it s contents. Marcus asks her what
she sprays her burrito with, to which she informs him that This is like pepper spray but slightly more
dilute. And way more delicious. Think of it as Spicy Cajun Visine if it helps (68). There is no other
passage in the novel that can exhibit Marcus and Ange s almost comedic chemistry together so
perfectly. Ange is, by heart, more of an eccentric. She enjoys going out of her way so that she may eat
spicy foods. She has an excessively liberal sense of mind and lives life how she sees fit. On the other
hand, Marcus has a much more conservative mentalities despite literally fighting against the
government. He openly voices his disgust to his date in a way that lets Ange know he feels appalled,
but still still likes her by asking What the hell are you doing to that poor, defenseless burrito? (68).
The two are an unlikely pair that is both entertaining and relatable to readers. The sincerity of their

The Violence Of Domestic Violence
Cycle of Violence in Domestic Violence
As stated by the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, domestic violence is defined as a
pattern of coercive and controlling behaviors and tactics used by one person over another (by or to any
household member) to gain power and control. This may include verbal abuse, financial abuse,
emotional, sexual, and physical abuse. (The Official Website of the Executive Office of Public Safety
and Security.)
Domestic abuse frequently becomes more often and dangerous over time.
After researching
Lenore E. Walker, Executive Director of the Domestic Violence Institute, studied, researched and
interviewed hundreds of women victims of domestic violence and came to the conclusion that many
violent relationships follow a similar pattern. In 1979, Walker developed a social cycle theory cycle
that explains the behaviors involved in a domestic abuse. This cycle developed by her, could take days
months or years to develop, it is different for each relationship and not all follow the pattern, and not
all necessarily lead to physical abuse.
The Cycle of abuse developed by L. E. Walker includes the following 3 phases:
Tension building Tension builds over common domestic, daily problems. Verbal abuse begins. The
abused person tries to help the situation by pleasing the abuser, giving in or avoiding the situation,
what do not stop the violence. The tension continues, reaches a boiling point and the abuse begins.

Obstacles Affecting American Dreams By William Faulkner
Obstacles Affecting American Dreams Throughout the world, people have to strive for a better life.
Not many of them acquire the life that they want. The reality of society affects their desire toward
dreams. But not every dream are the same and can come true. There are times when something hard or
even unexpected occurs, everything that they have been worked for can halt. In the story A Rose For
Emily by William Faulkner, he uses imagery of a daughter with a dream of obtaining true love to
describe the obstacles, whether physical or emotional and aspect of time, that can cause achieving a
dream more difficult or even appear to be impossible. This pattern of images suggests that dreams
seem to be unattainable because of obstacles. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Daisy had a debut after the Armistice, and in February she was presumable engaged to a man from
New Orleans (80). This seemingly impossible barrier does not stop Jay Gatsby from continuing his
quest for Daisy. In addition to being in love with a married woman, Gatsby faces the obstacle that Tom
Buchanan will not give Daisy up. Gatsby and Daisy have come forth with their feelings for one
another and their growing relationship. Tom and Gatsby argue over Daisy s loyalty to the other. Tom
disagrees with Gatsby when he says, Daisy loved me when she married me and she loves me now.
And what s more, I love Daisy too. Once in a while I go off on a spree and make fool of myself, but I
always come back, and in my heart I love her all the time (138). Gatsby states otherwise that Daisy s
heart was never loyal to Tom and she never loved him. Tom says, Even that s a lie. I want to speak to
Daisy alone (140). Daisy admits in a pitiful voice, Even alone I can t say I never loved Tom. It wouldn

be with Daisy. Not all dreams deal with love and money together. The dream of Lennie and George in
John Steinbeck s of Mice and Men is to own land and animals of their own. They are so passionate
about their dream. Lennie asks George many times to tell him again of their goals and pursuits. Just

Social Impact Of Ww1 Essay
What impact did WW1 have on the Australian home front? World War I was a global war based in
Europe that began on 28 July 1914 and lasted until 11 November 1918. The Australian Imperial Force
(AIF) had great involvement in the war, serving as part of the British Empire. In Australia, or the
Australian home front the war had major impact, in many aspects of the Australian society.
Conscription was a social impact of WWI, The Enemy Within was a social impact of WWI and
women were a social impact of WWI. Conscription was a social impact of WWI on the Australian
home front, as it heavily divided the Australian community. Unlike other countries such as England
and Germany, Australia did not have conscription at the outbreak of WWI in 1914. The Australian

Desperate to get men to list, in December 1915 Labor Prime Minister William Hughes issued a Call to
Arms to all men aged 18 to 45: ..if you love your country, if you love your freedom, the take your
place alongside your fellow Australians as the front . Intense recruiting campaigns were also used to
entice enough men to enlist. Many urged the government to introduce conscription, but Australia had a
federal Labor government in power at the time, whose platform disapproved of conscription. Labor
supporters thought it unfair that there be conscription of working men when there was no conscription
of the wealth and privileged. In 1916, after returning from seeing the devastation on the Western
Front, Hughes was convinced that Australia should introduce conscription, blatantly going against
Labor policy. On the 28 October 1916 Hughes decided to hold a referendum on the issue Are you in
favor of the government having, in this grave emergency...compulsory power over citizens in regard to
requiring their military service . The proposal was narrowly defeated. Conscription split the Labor
Government. Hughes, with twenty three of his Labor supporters left the Labor party

Fossil Fuels As A Source Of Energy
Since the evolution of science, many people have become solely dependent on a variety of
technologies to supply their essential needs of life. A key technology that people have a high level of
dependency on is fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are a source of energy people use in their everyday life as a
way to get light, electricity, and to keep warm. Fossil fuels are perceived as a nuclear energy, which
has been around for decades. Initially, scientists perceived this type of energy as affordable and safe;
however, in the late 20th century, danger of nuclear plants began to threat regions of United States.
Due to the increase of global warning from the burning of fossil fuels, climate scientists and
environmental experts are considering ways to replace nuclear energy (Ferguson). Since the world
uses fossil fuels as a source of energy supply, it would be beneficial if the world considered using
alternatives means of energy sources once all the present energy has been used up. The world would
greatly benefit from these alternatives since the production of present energy is polluting America. Yet
with the world being greatly overpopulated and having insufficient supplies of resources, scientists all
across the nation are thinking of ways to replace fossil fuels with alternative energies. Therefore, the
purpose of this paper is to explicate alternatives people could use as a source of energy instead of
being merely dependent on fossil fuels, and the advantages and disadvantages of

Eastern Woodlands
The life among the Eastern Woodlands was extremely different and interesting. It is very clear that
they definitely had religious values. They had a church, or as classified, a place of assembly for
prayer; along with prayer, they had dance ceremonies and a ceremonial fire. I can infer that they
believed in a Great Spirit, which coordinated the world. I suspect that this world not only
accommodated them, but also the plants and other surroundings. The corn is guarded, which definitely
expresses how much it was valued in their society. There does not seem to be any animals present in
the picture, which means they may have been used for food or clothing. The Native American diet was
quite healthy, as presented in the pictures, which embodies their choice of growing vegetables. There
are no animals in the picture, which leaves curiosity as to whether or not they hunt for their meat, or if
their diet even consisted of meat. They do have many spears and knives, being ... Show more content

Their resources doesn t seem to be as ingenious, neither does their clothing. In my opinion, they could
definitely upgrade in clothing and weapons. Their settlements were quite enterprising, and they truly
cherished their culture. According to the Europeans, Native Americans were far from civilized, which
means to have an advanced or refined culture. Europeans perceived Native Americans as uncivilized
people who were extremely backwards. They saw them as having horrible resources, cannibalistic
individuals, who were atrocious; meanwhile, they anticipated them as advanced and civilized people.
Their perception of Native Americans absolutely impacts relations between the two people, due to
how harsh they recognized them on one hand, and how organized they grasped them on the other. The
different notions undeniably could create conflict, because of how they could be taken, which is in
many negative and downing

What Is Proactive Interference
Introduction
By the age of seven, reading is an activity many children are well accustomed to. With the amount of
time most individuals have been reading, this task is relatively easy. Yet, there are still instances in
which we are reading a novel, a magazine, or even a simple text message, and we simply cannot
manage to remember what we read. This is event is due to interference. Interference theory states that
there are two forms of interference that can hinder our ability to properly encode information into our
memory (Bergstrom 1892), proactive interference and retroactive interference. When reading,
however, visual interference can play a large part in disrupting out learning process.
In the experiment commonly known for the development ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A controlled process is a task which is new or unique to the person. It is serial, takes heavy demands
on attention, requires conscious efforts to direct attention towards the task and is slow. Whereas an
automatic process is a task which has already been learned. It can be parallel, makes no demands on
attention, does not need conscious direction of attention towards the task and is fast. This implies that
when we are presented with a word, the action of stating its color is a relatively new task compared to
the already learnt behavior to read just words. Therefore, reading is seen as the automatic process
which interferes with the slower controlled process of stating the color. With the alteration of the
original Stroop Effect experiment, the automaticity model is discredited due to the fact that instead of
stating the word the participant points at the observed color instead. This nonverbal response, pointing
at the color, is not believed to be an automatic process, thus the automaticity model is questioned
when researchers note an interference in the speed of processing in incongruently colored

The Election Process Of The Electoral College
In November, many Americans will trek to their designated polling place to cast their vote for the next
President of the United States. The U.S. government loves to preach that every vote matters, and that
citizens should not take that responsibility lightly. During the presidential election cycle, states hold an
open election in which all eligible citizens can participate. Citizens have the ability to vote for a
distinct ticket , which consists of candidates for Vice President and President. Most Americans are
relatively aware of this step in the voting process. What happens after this stage, though, is not as well
tacit. It is at this point in the election process that the Electoral College begins to take effect. The
Electoral College is used in the same manner for 48 states; with the exception of Maine and Nebraska.
After each of the votes in these 48 states are tallied and counted, the major political party with a
candidate who won the majority vote in any of those states is sanctioned to choose a panel of
individuals who will cast the state s real vote for President. The Electoral College comprises of these
538 electors. The number of electoral votes for a state is not solely based on population, they are
allocated based on their representation in Congress. This means each state is given a minimum of 3
electoral votes (at least 1 representative and 2 senators) regardless of the population size in the state.

The Importance Of Carbohydrates
When considering the way that our bodies gain energy to perform any task, the first thing that should
come to mind is carbohydrates. They are one of the main nutrients where we get our energy from, and
are defined as a compound made up of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, that is derived from plants and
provide energy (Thompson Manore, 2017, p. 100). Carbohydrates are divided up into two groups:
simple and complex carbohydrates.
Simple carbohydrates are commonly called sugar (Thompson Manore, 2017, p. 101). Simple
carbohydrates are found in a variety of foods such as fruits, vegetables, milk, and milk products where
natural sugars are found. Within this subgroup there are monosaccharides and disaccharides.
Monosaccharides are essentially one molecule of sugar, and happen to be the simplest type of carb
that is usually in the form of glucose. Glucose, fructose, and galactose are referred to as
monosaccharides. Disaccharides are a carb compound consisting of two sugar molecules that are
joined together (Thompson Manore, 2017, p. 101). Lactose, maltose, and sucrose are referred to as
disaccharides.
Complex carbohydrates are a nutrient compound consisting of long chains of glucose molecules
(Thompson Manore, 2017, p. 102). Complex carbs are found in foods that have whole grains, starchy
vegetables, and legumes. Starches, glycogen, and fiber are all types of polysaccharides which is
described as a complex carbohydrate consisting of long chains of glucose

Obergefell Vs. Hodges
The case Obergefell vs. Hodges reached the United States Supreme Court in 2015 (Oyez). This case
dealt with the rights of same sex marriages and became important case in our nation s young history
and in our society in general. The problem was groups of same sex couples were being told that their
marriage licenses were not being upheld to the same legal standards as those of heterogeneous
couples. Therefore same sex couples in Ohio, Tennessee , Kentucky, and Michigan went and sued
these agencies in challenge of their constitutional rights (Oyez). They took their issue to court because
they believed that the states were denying them their 14th amendment rights without due process.
They couldn t understand why their marriages license were not ... Show more content on

While it is not a personal choice for me, I see it best to support it for those who make that choice. In
the Constitution marriage is not defined as the unity between a man and women, but the unity of two
persons. As long as those two persons are both legal citizens of the United States then they should
have full protection under the Constitution. This would include their fundamental right to marriage.
Same sex should be seen equal to opposite sex marriage because the standards are no different. Just
like in the case of Loving v Virginia, once you take away the factor of race or sexuality, you are left
with the same principal foundations as you are of a hetero sexual couple. Therefore it would be an act
of discrimination to deny legal marriage to same sex partners. Some will argue that the Bible defines
marriage as between a man and women, and while that is true, it is not recognized by the court.
Because it is stated in a religious doctrine and the United States has freedom of religion, this point can
not be made legal valid in any situation and therefore is irrelevant. Another argument also commonly
made in opposition to same sex marriage is that its legality is within the power of the states and not
the national government. While the power to issue marriage licenses is given to the state, that s not all
that the case argues. It argues that

Skepticism About The External World
Skepticism about the external world is one of the most widely discussed arguments in the history of
philosophy. Barry Stroud defines skepticism as the idea that we cannot have knowledge about the
external world (Stroud, page 1). This conclusion is the result of Rene Descartes Dream Argument and
has been a topic of discussion ever since. No matter how we attack the argument, it seems that we
inevitably arrive at skepticism. In this paper, I will argue that the skeptical conclusion is true and why
it seems to be compelling as a necessary condition for knowledge. I will describe the Dream Argument
and take a look at Moore s promising response to the conclusion as an inconsistent proof. In the end,
Moore s argument for evidence of an external world will fail to disprove the skeptical conclusion due
to its lack of justified belief. Although I am intuitively inclined to deny the skeptical argument, I
cannot logically do so but will argue against full blown skepticism and explain how mild skepticism is
a more approachable route to knowledge. In our everyday conversation, we do not generally question
the validity of small claims that we make during normal interactions. In Meditation 1, Descartes
decides that it is the right time to reevaluate the foundation of knowledge that he will rest his life upon
from that point forward. He puts in question the things that he thinks he knows for certain. He
acknowledges that everything he knows has been perceived from the senses or through

Bottlenose Dolphin Informative Speech Essay
The Bottlenose Dolphin
Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about the bottlenose dolphin species.
Central Idea: Dolphins are unique creatures that possess numerous abilities such as, their intelligence,
communication skills, and behavioral patterns.
Introduction
I. Imagine yourself surrounded by a pool of water, but not just any pool of water, the biggest one of
all: the ocean. You re in the ocean attempting to swim, but only this time, instead of moving your arms
over your head and your legs up and down, your only moving your lower half, up and down. You
swim for a period of time and then suddenly realize your oxygen supply is slowly running out. You
swim to the surface and breathe, then your right back at it, swimming with no ... Show more content

a. Communication occurs within the dolphin itself.
i. This includes a range of echolocation clicks in the dolphin sonar system used to identify objects
underwater. ii. Studies by the US Navy have proven that a dolphin s sonar communication is accurate.
1. Dolphins can locate a 3 inch sphere 400 yards away (Wexler, 1994).
b. Communication can also occurs between two or more dolphins.
i. This was measured using the rate of whistling in dolphins.
1. According the University of St. Andrews study, of 29 different dolphins, whistling rates during non
polarized and socializing movements were higher than surface travel (Quick amp; Janik, 2008). ii.
Dolphins alert stress levels to other dolphins by altering the pitch of their signature whistle (Wexler,
1994).
Transition: After learning about a dolphin s sense of communication, we can now build upon this
information by examining their unique behavior.
III. A final ability worth noting is the social inclination of dolphin behavior.
a. It has been proven that a lot of their behavior revolves around social activity.
i. Randall Wells and his team observed groups of male dolphin behavior in Sarasota Bay, Florida.
1. The dolphins lifted their heads, which allowed them to toss each other out of the water.
2. This proved that these interactions were defining their social relationships (Rohan, 2003). ii.
Another study consisting of 52 dolphins proved that social

Comparison Of Internal And External Conflicts And Their...
The comparison of internal and external conflicts and their affects on lives.
Essay? HOOK:
The story Blue Winds Dancing by Thomas S. Whitecloud demonstrates the experience of a native man
transitioning to his life into a white society. It exhibits the internal and external struggles in the native
s life that he encounters throughout his life. However, the native is an outcast and has a longing to go
back to his native reserve. In comparison, Angel Levine by Bernard Malamud describes the life of a
Jewish man, named Manischevitz, who lost everything: his children, his business, and his wife
because of her fatal illness. He reaches out to God, but there is no response which also leads him to
lose ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Manischevitz is distraught when a Black Angel appears to help, and he realises that all hope is lost.
This negatively affects Mr. Manischevitz because he seeks affirmation from God, although, he does
not believe in the black angel s powers. This leads Manischevitz down a spiral where he smote to the
naked bones, cursing himself for having believed in God to help him in his time of need. On the other
hand, in Blue Winds Dancing, the native also undergoes an internal conflict; the native feels alone and
lost in the White world. He feels like an outsider with no place in the white world that he desperately
wants to accept him. The native compares himself to a hobo because they both are outsiders because
they cherish different things from a typical white man. Additionally, the native in the story does not
have a name to symbolize that his experience is very similar to many other natives who want to be
apart of the white world. Overall, the native is having an Identity crisis because he does not know
whether to acculturate and become like every other white man or go back to the blanket because it is
familiar to him. He longs for home because he does not agree with the white man s customs of getting
a hill and wanting a mountain . He wants to return back home where people can be free and the native
can truly be himself. These internal conflicts are similar because both protagonists encounter identity
crises which cause them to seek affirmation in their faith

Analysis Of Roman De La Rose
Roman de la Rose Manuscript Analysis
This author s portrait is from a manuscript called Roman de la rose that was written by Jeanne de
Montbaston, however, Roman de la rose was originally composed by Guillaume de Lorris and Jean de
Meun. The manuscript was written somewhere between 1351 and 1375 in France. This version of the
Roman de la rose is located in the National Library of France in Paris. The manuscript can be
identified by the number btv1b6000307m. The author s art is located on folio 1 recto and it takes up
the whole page with the painting being mostly on the top half of the page with text and two small
pictures on the lower half. The artist chose to use red and blue paints as well as gold tin for the
medium.
This portrait is related to the manuscript because the manuscript is a love story about a man who loves
a woman named Rose but is walled off from seeing her and guards are sent to protect her from him,
and in the portrait, Rose is seen lying down on a bed with a guard watching over her. And on the
outside of the wall is the man who loves her standing on top of a building with a love arrow through
his hand. Rose is not only portrayed by the women of whom the man loves but it is also portrayed by
the flowers the curl on the vines in the background. This is one of many illuminations located in this
text; however, this is the one with the most detail. This painting unlike the others in the manuscript is
large and very detailed, where the others are all small and

Examples Of Cash Flow Statement
The first thing to know about the cash flow statement is its division into three separate sections. A cash
flow statement looks at three components of core operations, investing, and financing in order to come
to the final conclusion.
One of the major distinctions in a cash flow statement, compared to income statement and balance
sheet, is the lack of reporting on future incoming and outgoing cash. Furthermore, some of the things
you won t know in a loss and profit statement, but which feature at the cash flow statement include:
Owner s draws out of the business
Payment of credit card principal
Payment of loan principal
A cash flow looks at only the movements in the three sectors during the determined period, not what is
going to happen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You can see all the different sections and how the figures are calculated. As you can see, the bottom of
the statement shows the total cash flow of the company for the accounting period.
The above example statement shows you the company total cash flow, as well as where majority of
the liquidity came from.
Naturally, not all cash flow statements show a positive cash flow. But it is important to remember that
a negative cash flow doesn t necessarily mean the business is failing. Sometimes a negative cash flow
is part of a company s decision to heavily invest in new inventory, for example, which might increase
the cash flow the following year. Therefore, as mentioned, you need to use a cash flow statement as
part of your financial analysis, but not rely solely on it.
Overall, you also want to compare your cash flows from different periods. While a single negative
cash flow statement might not signal trouble, if your cash flow is constantly on the negative, your
business is clearly having liquidity problems. It usually means the business is having difficulties
paying debt and relies too much on

Internal and External Factor of the United States Army
The United States Army is a complex organization made up of several commands and managed by
different command levels. The U.S. Army is an organization different from that of a business in many
unique ways. Specific examples of these differences include: financial reporting, disciplinary review
procedures, and tactical operations. Although different in many ways, the Army shares many similar
characteristics of a normal profit business. Army personnel are managed by supervisors arranged in a
command structure similar to that of a business hierarchy. The Army will also encounter internal and
external factors that could impede or enhance operations. As such, planning, organizing, leading, and
controlling must be used by managers appropriately ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Army accomplishes this mission by executing Title 10 and Title 32 United States Code directives,
to include organizing, equipping, and training forces for the conduct of prompt and sustained combat
operations on land. In doing so, the Army accomplishes missions assigned by the President, Secretary
of Defense and combatant commanders, and transforming the future. The planning function of
management ensures the mission is always the objective along with orders from the Commander In
Chief. The organizing function of management is impacted in the globalization efforts of the Army.
The process of transformation of local or regional phenomena into global ones takes the utmost
managerial ability from all ranks and corporations sustaining the Army. For instance, institutional
organizations provide the infrastructure necessary to raise, train, equip, deploy, and ensure the
readiness of all Army forces in strategic global locations. Organizing and strategic planning functions
help the training base provide military skills and professional education to every soldier as well as
members of sister services and allied forces. It also allows the Army to expand rapidly in time of war.
Technologically, the industrial base provides world class equipment and logistics for the Army which

The Eruption Of Kilauea Volcano
Abstract
The home of Pele, the Hawaiian volcano goddess, Kilauea Volcano has been erupting for the last 30
years. Since January 3, 1983, the world has stopped to look at the lava flowing out of the crevices of
the crater. However, despite the meaning of the name, Kilauea in Hawaiian (which translates to
spewing or much spreading ), many scientists are amazed that the volcano has a continuous flow
(USGS 1,2,3). Nonetheless, as the East Rift Zone spreads, Kilauea has started overflowing; and the
once majestic lava now spills out of Pu u O o Crater into nearby towns. Scientists and citizens
scramble to find the answer: how do we stop a volcanic eruption from destroying nearby civilization
without stopping the natural occurrence?
Kilauea
As the youngest and most southeastern volcano on Hawaii s big island, Kilauea has been suggested to
be the world s most active volcano; having recorded 61 historical eruptions, not including the
continuous lava lake activity in Halema uma u Crater (Life Stages of Hawaiian Volcanoes). Kilauea is
at it s shield forming stage referencing volcanology. During this stage the excretion systems within the
volcanoes are the most efficient at transporting magma to the surface since over 95% of lava gets
erupted. As well as the constant eruption, the magma chamber of the volcano fully develops to serve
as a station for older, less dense magma. The magma chamber migrates upwards as a volcano grows
and the Kilauea volcano magma chamber

The Incident Of An Oxygen Mask
Nerves bubbled in my stomach as we waited for the plane to take off. Every other student in year eight
buzzed with chatter, while Mr. Whitelock took attendance. It was announced two weeks ago that the
Eton Boys Boarding School, along with many other schools, would be traveling overseas to escape
from possible atomic warfare. This information didn t set in my mind till about two days before the
flight; I was moving away from my home and the only life I knew.
Russell Grohmann, Mr. Whitelock called interrupting my previous thoughts.
Here, I uttered back.
After attendance, the flight attendant came out and gave us safety procedures.
During the flight please keep your seat buckled until told otherwise and in case of emergency an
oxygen mask will come down from above your seats. Before helping anyone else, please, secure your
own mask. Thank you. she stated in a monotone voice, then walked to the back of the plane.
The plane took off and William, who constantly picked on my at school for both my appearance and
diction, decided to spark up a conversation.
Hey Piggy, how do you feel about the move? he asked bitterley, I ve heard Australia is amazing.
I m glad that we are moving to a safer place, but Australia is over 9,000 miles away and will be a huge
change from England, I replied back.
Yeah, I guess you re right, I m sure gonna miss England, he said, tears formed in his eyes.
After the short conversation with William, I noticed some of the boys that

The Priestly Line Of Malki Tzedek
About the Priestly Line of Malki Tzedek for those that want to learn more.
In Numbers 18 the Most High says, speaking about the priesthood, that it is an eternal covenant with
Aaron and the Levites that these are the duties that he and they have. What s clear here is no one from
the Davidic line in the tribe of Judah could ever bring an incense offering into mikdash ha kodesh(the
holy of holies) in the Temple Lev 16:12 13. There can never be a high priest from the house of David.
The priesthood belongs to Aaron, his sons and the Levites forever.
This next point must be addressed. In the Tanakh(OT) it says David s sons were priests (2 Sam 8:18),
that doesn t mean they were priests of Aaron. The Hebrew word there translated as priests ... Show

David is given the power of defeating his enemies in the manner that Abraham was in Genesis 14.
That power is being passed down to him and now he will defeat his enemies. the Most High does not
break His promises, they are covenants, He s not going to change them. You are a priest forever David
is told, a Kohane, one who has been given an important office. David s children are called priests,
Kohane, that does not mean they are of the lineage of Aaron and will officiate in the Temple
performing priestly duties. It means David s sons hold important offices.
Numbers 18:19 All the gifts of the Kodesh things[offerings], which the children of Israel offer unto
YHWH, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, as an eternal portion; it is an
everlasting covenant of salt before YHWH unto thee and to thy seed with thee.
The Most High says the Priesthood belongs to Aaron and his descendants forever, a salt covenant.
These are eternal covenants, they can not be broken, in fact, the Most High calls it a salt covenant.
Why a salt covenant? Because salt never spoils, it never degrades. Not only doesn t it degrade but it
preserves food, it never changes. The covenant is as permanent as salt. So if someone tells you the
covenant the Most High made with Aaron and his sons, the covenant the Most High made with the
tribe of Levi, the covenant the Most High made with the

Rhetorical Analysis Of Rich s Speech
In her speech Rich attempts to change the perspective students have of education. She desires for

simple, women have to take every opportunity in education as rightful owners because they have the
same right as men to be educated. Rich claims that students can benefit more from education if they
claim it instead of thinking it s been given to them and take it for granted. Once students learn to
declare education as theirs and take full responsibility they will be more successful. Even though the

Electric Vehicles Have Different Layouts Of The Batteries
Some electric vehicles have different layouts of the batteries. HEVs and PHEVs have large batteries
usually in the trunk of the vehicle because the ICE component of the vehicle takes up most of the
room in the front of the vehicle. Few PHEV batteries are arranged in a T shape under vehicle. These
batteries are still quite large but not as protruding as batteries taking away from the trunk of the
vehicle. The reason why there are able to place the battery under the vehicle is because the battery is
powerful enough to handle a mild driving distance so the ICE component have reduced gas tank
dimensions. Most vehicles today have a gas tank underneath the cabin of the vehicle where the battery
now would be. One successful EV is the Tesla Model ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The maintenance of an EV is significantly lower compared to an ICE vehicle. One of the best parts of
an EV is that the management of an EV is so simple. All you have to do to power the vehicle is to plug
the vehicle in to charge. While EV batteries aren t perfect as they too could not function properly and
have to be exchanged with a new battery, there are far more other issues for ICE vehicles because of
the complicated parts of the vehicle. The battery of EVs are extremely heavy, the center of gravity of
the vehicle is much greater because the weight of the vehicle is now in the middle of the vehicle.
Vehicles with better centers of gravity have better handling on the road which is a lot safer. EVs also
have better drag coefficients than ICE vehicles. Drag coefficients is how easy the vehicle will cut
through wind especially when driving at high speeds. Now the Tesla Model S is a luxury EV. It has all
the bells and whistles and all of the price too. It is very successful in sales, but is still too expensive for
the average American. Many other EVs are much cheaper and provide the same great qualities of all
EVs. Major car companies all over the world are pushing into the market of EVs. Nearly every major
car company is under development or produce a PHEV or EV ready to hit the streets. Now what is an
electric vehicle

Essay on Napoleon at Waterloo
The battle of Waterloo is universally associated with the last stand of Napoleon. It is (for all intents
and purposes) the most significant blow to Napoleons final attempt at a return to power, Napoleons
loss sealed his fate and consequently lost his empire (once and for all). However was it truly Napoleon
s faults that resulted in the loss at Waterloo? Or as many have stated was it more accurately Marshal
Ney s inability to follow Napoleons orders and command his troops in a custom that Napoleon not
only expected but had spent years refining. Before the battle of Waterloo Napoleon ordered 30 000
troops under the command of Marshal Grouchy to separate from the main force, splitting off in order

Comparing The Gospel Of John
With the changing of tides shortly after Jesus ascension, the death of the all the disciples but John and
the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem, a new way of sharing the Gospel was needed. The reason
for this new means of communicating the Gospel was because no one was left who had actually
walked with Jesus. Therefore, John the disciple throws a rummage sale in writing his account of Jesus;
which was so much different than the other three Gospel writers. His purpose was for people to know
what it means to follow Jesus without him being physically present as he was for the twelve.
Specifically, John focuses on the personal conversations of Jesus and others (Peterson 2); so much so
that 90% of John s book is unique, contains no parables

  • 2. Attitudes Toward Nature In Early Modern Europe To explore how attitudes to nature changed in early modern Europe, we must first understand how nature was perceived in the pre modern era. This essay will look into the pre modern Christian theological view, before exploring the early modern era that was largely shaped by the scientific revolution and ideas of humanism that developed during the renaissance. Attitudes towards nature in the pre modern or medieval period, were largely based on Christian theological views and Aristotelian science. Despite the two usually seen as complete opposites, religion and God s plan were often considered the scientific explanation, to things such as gravity. The Earth was viewed as the centre of the universe, created by God. Aristotelian science was mainly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nature was no longer seen as something wild and untameable, instead it was seen as a human right to tame it and to exploit it and use it for the benefit of human society. The work or Kepler, Descartes and Bacon also largely showed humans to be superior and that we should exercise our control over the once wild seeming nature. Minding of the land had its roots during the scientific revolution, and had a big impact on attitudes to nature. Nature was seen to be a selfish woman who was keeping her precious stones and minerals to herself, and it was man s right to take these minerals and use it for our own benefit, doing this through mining. The chain of being also had a great impact on the changing attitudes, as it quite literally showed humans to be superior to nature. And once again gave way to the idea that humans have a right to domineer over ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Essay about Developing My Critical Thinking Skills Given the especially large number of students you see each semester, I don t expect any recollection of my presence in your COMM150 class I certainly wasn t an exemplary enough student to have left any lasting memories (which is both good and bad). But I wanted to share with you a small anecdote, because four years later I ve realized that your class served as an important catalyst in the development of my critical thinking abilities. As a freshmen at the Altoona campus, I took your class on a whim because I needed a Comm class. Of course I was confident (re: cocky) in my abilities, so I didn t study for exams and ended up in a bad place part way through the semester. That s when you offered an extra credit assignment that required ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I didn t get it then but I certainly do now. Do the Right Thing is a 1989 film by Spike Lee. According to Entertainment Weekly, it is one of the 25 most controversial films ever. It was deemed culturally significant by the Library of Congress in 1999, and then placed in the National Film Registry. The story follows the lives of citizens of the Bedford Stuyvesant District in New York City, on the hottest day of the summer, and what they do to cope with the heat. To summarize the entire plot it ends in a riot. I d like to analyze some of the situations found in the movie, and discuss how, if at all, it related to race relations in America. When watching the film, I wasn t overly interested in the plot. Nothing interesting happened (until the end of the movie) and there was nothing that made me (as a viewer) intrigued to continue watching. What I found important, however, was the character portrayals in the movie, and this is what kept me watching. I m not sure what Lee wanted from this movie, because to me, it seemed as if he was being a) overtly racist towards non African Americans, and b) stereotypical of his own race. Throughout the movie I was astounded by the portrayal of the black characters in this movie. Specifically, Buggin Out s character. While I realize that the character s name is a direct reference to his personality, I think Lee went a bit too far. For example, when the white cyclist accidentally scuffed his ... • 4. Little Brother Succeeds By Cory Doctorow In all mediums of storytelling, storylines never follow a singular plots. Writers often attempt to shovel in various subplots as a means of trying to captivate audiences who are not as interested by the main story. These subplots often revolve around the main story in the sense that they coexist but do not affect it. This entirely ruins the purpose of including subplots, as they should intertwine with and almost become a part of the main plotline. This is where Cory Doctorow s novel Little Brother succeeds. Throughout the novel, Doctorow focuses mainly on the story of Marcus Yallow, a high schooler living in San Francisco with gifted abilities in hacking, and his friends as he fights the manipulative government branch: The Department of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He writes Ange and Marcus characters so that together, they have a natural chemistry together in both dialogue and actions. At one point, near the middle of the novel, Marcus and Ange go out on date to one of Ange s favorite restaurants. The two decide to go to a burrito place. While there, Ange pulls out a stainless steel canister and excessively sprays her burrito with it s contents. Marcus asks her what she sprays her burrito with, to which she informs him that This is like pepper spray but slightly more dilute. And way more delicious. Think of it as Spicy Cajun Visine if it helps (68). There is no other passage in the novel that can exhibit Marcus and Ange s almost comedic chemistry together so perfectly. Ange is, by heart, more of an eccentric. She enjoys going out of her way so that she may eat spicy foods. She has an excessively liberal sense of mind and lives life how she sees fit. On the other hand, Marcus has a much more conservative mentalities despite literally fighting against the government. He openly voices his disgust to his date in a way that lets Ange know he feels appalled, but still still likes her by asking What the hell are you doing to that poor, defenseless burrito? (68). The two are an unlikely pair that is both entertaining and relatable to readers. The sincerity of their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Violence Of Domestic Violence Cycle of Violence in Domestic Violence As stated by the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, domestic violence is defined as a pattern of coercive and controlling behaviors and tactics used by one person over another (by or to any household member) to gain power and control. This may include verbal abuse, financial abuse, emotional, sexual, and physical abuse. (The Official Website of the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.) Domestic abuse frequently becomes more often and dangerous over time. After researching Lenore E. Walker, Executive Director of the Domestic Violence Institute, studied, researched and interviewed hundreds of women victims of domestic violence and came to the conclusion that many violent relationships follow a similar pattern. In 1979, Walker developed a social cycle theory cycle that explains the behaviors involved in a domestic abuse. This cycle developed by her, could take days months or years to develop, it is different for each relationship and not all follow the pattern, and not all necessarily lead to physical abuse. The Cycle of abuse developed by L. E. Walker includes the following 3 phases: Tension building Tension builds over common domestic, daily problems. Verbal abuse begins. The abused person tries to help the situation by pleasing the abuser, giving in or avoiding the situation, what do not stop the violence. The tension continues, reaches a boiling point and the abuse begins. Acute battering or acting out ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Obstacles Affecting American Dreams By William Faulkner Obstacles Affecting American Dreams Throughout the world, people have to strive for a better life. Not many of them acquire the life that they want. The reality of society affects their desire toward dreams. But not every dream are the same and can come true. There are times when something hard or even unexpected occurs, everything that they have been worked for can halt. In the story A Rose For Emily by William Faulkner, he uses imagery of a daughter with a dream of obtaining true love to describe the obstacles, whether physical or emotional and aspect of time, that can cause achieving a dream more difficult or even appear to be impossible. This pattern of images suggests that dreams seem to be unattainable because of obstacles. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Intense recruiting campaigns were also used to entice enough men to enlist. Many urged the government to introduce conscription, but Australia had a federal Labor government in power at the time, whose platform disapproved of conscription. Labor supporters thought it unfair that there be conscription of working men when there was no conscription of the wealth and privileged. • 9. Fossil Fuels As A Source Of Energy Since the evolution of science, many people have become solely dependent on a variety of technologies to supply their essential needs of life. A key technology that people have a high level of dependency on is fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are a source of energy people use in their everyday life as a way to get light, electricity, and to keep warm. Fossil fuels are perceived as a nuclear energy, which has been around for decades. Initially, scientists perceived this type of energy as affordable and safe; however, in the late 20th century, danger of nuclear plants began to threat regions of United States. Due to the increase of global warning from the burning of fossil fuels, climate scientists and environmental experts are considering ways to replace nuclear energy (Ferguson). Since the world uses fossil fuels as a source of energy supply, it would be beneficial if the world considered using alternatives means of energy sources once all the present energy has been used up. The world would greatly benefit from these alternatives since the production of present energy is polluting America. Yet with the world being greatly overpopulated and having insufficient supplies of resources, scientists all across the nation are thinking of ways to replace fossil fuels with alternative energies. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to explicate alternatives people could use as a source of energy instead of being merely dependent on fossil fuels, and the advantages and disadvantages of ... • 11. What Is Proactive Interference Introduction By the age of seven, reading is an activity many children are well accustomed to. With the amount of time most individuals have been reading, this task is relatively easy. Yet, there are still instances in which we are reading a novel, a magazine, or even a simple text message, and we simply cannot manage to remember what we read. This is event is due to interference. Interference theory states that there are two forms of interference that can hinder our ability to properly encode information into our memory (Bergstrom 1892), proactive interference and retroactive interference. When reading, however, visual interference can play a large part in disrupting out learning process. In the experiment commonly known for the development ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This implies that when we are presented with a word, the action of stating its color is a relatively new task compared to the already learnt behavior to read just words. Therefore, reading is seen as the automatic process which interferes with the slower controlled process of stating the color. With the alteration of the original Stroop Effect experiment, the automaticity model is discredited due to the fact that instead of stating the word the participant points at the observed color instead. This nonverbal response, pointing at the color, is not believed to be an automatic process, thus the automaticity model is questioned when researchers note an interference in the speed of processing in incongruently colored ... The U.S. government loves to preach that every vote matters, and that citizens should not take that responsibility lightly. During the presidential election cycle, states hold an open election in which all eligible citizens can participate. Citizens have the ability to vote for a distinct ticket , which consists of candidates for Vice President and President. Most Americans are relatively aware of this step in the voting process. What happens after this stage, though, is not as well tacit. It is at this point in the election process that the Electoral College begins to take effect. The Electoral College is used in the same manner for 48 states; with the exception of Maine and Nebraska. After each of the votes in these 48 states are tallied and counted, the major political party with a candidate who won the majority vote in any of those states is sanctioned to choose a panel of individuals who will cast the state s real vote for President. • 14. The Importance Of Carbohydrates When considering the way that our bodies gain energy to perform any task, the first thing that should come to mind is carbohydrates. They are one of the main nutrients where we get our energy from, and are defined as a compound made up of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, that is derived from plants and provide energy (Thompson Manore, 2017, p. 100). Carbohydrates are divided up into two groups: simple and complex carbohydrates. Simple carbohydrates are commonly called sugar (Thompson Manore, 2017, p. 101). Simple carbohydrates are found in a variety of foods such as fruits, vegetables, milk, and milk products where natural sugars are found. Within this subgroup there are monosaccharides and disaccharides. Monosaccharides are essentially one molecule of sugar, and happen to be the simplest type of carb that is usually in the form of glucose. Glucose, fructose, and galactose are referred to as monosaccharides. Disaccharides are a carb compound consisting of two sugar molecules that are joined together (Thompson Manore, 2017, p. 101). Lactose, maltose, and sucrose are referred to as disaccharides. Complex carbohydrates are a nutrient compound consisting of long chains of glucose molecules (Thompson Manore, 2017, p. 102). While it is not a personal choice for me, I see it best to support it for those who make that choice. In the Constitution marriage is not defined as the unity between a man and women, but the unity of two persons. As long as those two persons are both legal citizens of the United States then they should have full protection under the Constitution. This would include their fundamental right to marriage. Same sex should be seen equal to opposite sex marriage because the standards are no different. Just like in the case of Loving v Virginia, once you take away the factor of race or sexuality, you are left with the same principal foundations as you are of a hetero sexual couple. Therefore it would be an act of discrimination to deny legal marriage to same sex partners. Some will argue that the Bible defines marriage as between a man and women, and while that is true, it is not recognized by the court. Because it is stated in a religious doctrine and the United States has freedom of religion, this point can not be made legal valid in any situation and therefore is irrelevant. Another argument also commonly made in opposition to same sex marriage is that its legality is within the power of the states and not the national government. While the power to issue marriage licenses is given to the state, that s not all that the case argues. It argues that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 16. Skepticism About The External World Skepticism about the external world is one of the most widely discussed arguments in the history of philosophy. Barry Stroud defines skepticism as the idea that we cannot have knowledge about the external world (Stroud, page 1). This conclusion is the result of Rene Descartes Dream Argument and has been a topic of discussion ever since. No matter how we attack the argument, it seems that we inevitably arrive at skepticism. In this paper, I will argue that the skeptical conclusion is true and why it seems to be compelling as a necessary condition for knowledge. I will describe the Dream Argument and take a look at Moore s promising response to the conclusion as an inconsistent proof. In the end, Moore s argument for evidence of an external world will fail to disprove the skeptical conclusion due to its lack of justified belief. Although I am intuitively inclined to deny the skeptical argument, I cannot logically do so but will argue against full blown skepticism and explain how mild skepticism is a more approachable route to knowledge. In our everyday conversation, we do not generally question the validity of small claims that we make during normal interactions. In Meditation 1, Descartes decides that it is the right time to reevaluate the foundation of knowledge that he will rest his life upon from that point forward. He puts in question the things that he thinks he knows for certain. He acknowledges that everything he knows has been perceived from the senses or through ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Since January 3, 1983, the world has stopped to look at the lava flowing out of the crevices of the crater. However, despite the meaning of the name, Kilauea in Hawaiian (which translates to spewing or much spreading ), many scientists are amazed that the volcano has a continuous flow (USGS 1,2,3). Nonetheless, as the East Rift Zone spreads, Kilauea has started overflowing; and the once majestic lava now spills out of Pu u O o Crater into nearby towns. Russell Grohmann, Mr. Whitelock called interrupting my previous thoughts. Here, I uttered back. After attendance, the flight attendant came out and gave us safety procedures. During the flight please keep your seat buckled until told otherwise and in case of emergency an oxygen mask will come down from above your seats. Before helping anyone else, please, secure your own mask. Thank you. she stated in a monotone voice, then walked to the back of the plane. The plane took off and William, who constantly picked on my at school for both my appearance and diction, decided to spark up a conversation. Hey Piggy, how do you feel about the move? he asked bitterley, I ve heard Australia is amazing. I m glad that we are moving to a safer place, but Australia is over 9,000 miles away and will be a huge change from England, I replied back. Yeah, I guess you re right, I m sure gonna miss England, he said, tears formed in his eyes. After the short conversation with William, I noticed some of the boys that ... • 30. The Priestly Line Of Malki Tzedek About the Priestly Line of Malki Tzedek for those that want to learn more. In Numbers 18 the Most High says, speaking about the priesthood, that it is an eternal covenant with Aaron and the Levites that these are the duties that he and they have. What s clear here is no one from the Davidic line in the tribe of Judah could ever bring an incense offering into mikdash ha kodesh(the holy of holies) in the Temple Lev 16:12 13. There can never be a high priest from the house of David. The priesthood belongs to Aaron, his sons and the Levites forever. This next point must be addressed. In the Tanakh(OT) it says David s sons were priests (2 Sam 8:18), that doesn t mean they were priests of Aaron. The Hebrew word there translated as priests ... That power is being passed down to him and now he will defeat his enemies. the Most High does not break His promises, they are covenants, He s not going to change them. You are a priest forever David is told, a Kohane, one who has been given an important office. David s children are called priests, Kohane, that does not mean they are of the lineage of Aaron and will officiate in the Temple performing priestly duties. It means David s sons hold important offices. Numbers 18:19 All the gifts of the Kodesh things[offerings], which the children of Israel offer unto YHWH, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, as an eternal portion; it is an everlasting covenant of salt before YHWH unto thee and to thy seed with thee. The Most High says the Priesthood belongs to Aaron and his descendants forever, a salt covenant. These are eternal covenants, they can not be broken, in fact, the Most High calls it a salt covenant. Why a salt covenant? Because salt never spoils, it never degrades. Not only doesn t it degrade but it preserves food, it never changes. The covenant is as permanent as salt. So if someone tells you the covenant the Most High made with Aaron and his sons, the covenant the Most High made with the tribe of Levi, the covenant the Most High made with the ... By the mid 1980 it was suggested that more than 100,000 men would have already been infected with the virus. In 1983, females were infected with this virus, and at that time, scientists believed it come from heterosexual sex. In the same year, children were infected with this virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that casual contact could transmit that virus. • 35. Electric Vehicles Have Different Layouts Of The Batteries Some electric vehicles have different layouts of the batteries. HEVs and PHEVs have large batteries usually in the trunk of the vehicle because the ICE component of the vehicle takes up most of the room in the front of the vehicle. Few PHEV batteries are arranged in a T shape under vehicle. These batteries are still quite large but not as protruding as batteries taking away from the trunk of the vehicle. The reason why there are able to place the battery under the vehicle is because the battery is powerful enough to handle a mild driving distance so the ICE component have reduced gas tank dimensions. Most vehicles today have a gas tank underneath the cabin of the vehicle where the battery now would be. One successful EV is the Tesla Model ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The maintenance of an EV is significantly lower compared to an ICE vehicle. One of the best parts of an EV is that the management of an EV is so simple. All you have to do to power the vehicle is to plug the vehicle in to charge. While EV batteries aren t perfect as they too could not function properly and have to be exchanged with a new battery, there are far more other issues for ICE vehicles because of the complicated parts of the vehicle. The battery of EVs are extremely heavy, the center of gravity of the vehicle is much greater because the weight of the vehicle is now in the middle of the vehicle. Vehicles with better centers of gravity have better handling on the road which is a lot safer. EVs also have better drag coefficients than ICE vehicles. Drag coefficients is how easy the vehicle will cut through wind especially when driving at high speeds. Now the Tesla Model S is a luxury EV. It has all the bells and whistles and all of the price too. It is very successful in sales, but is still too expensive for the average American. Many other EVs are much cheaper and provide the same great qualities of all EVs. Major car companies all over the world are pushing into the market of EVs. Nearly every major car company is under development or produce a PHEV or EV ready to hit the streets. Now what is an electric vehicle ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Essay on Napoleon at Waterloo The battle of Waterloo is universally associated with the last stand of Napoleon. It is (for all intents and purposes) the most significant blow to Napoleons final attempt at a return to power, Napoleons loss sealed his fate and consequently lost his empire (once and for all). However was it truly Napoleon s faults that resulted in the loss at Waterloo? Or as many have stated was it more accurately Marshal Ney s inability to follow Napoleons orders and command his troops in a custom that Napoleon not only expected but had spent years refining. Before the battle of Waterloo Napoleon ordered 30 000 troops under the command of Marshal Grouchy to separate from the main force, splitting off in order to (in theory) catch and eliminate the ... Marshal Ney s First mistake is seen in the exemption of ordering infantry attacks along with his cavalry, this though a forgivable mistake was compounded once his other mistakes are made. Comparing The Gospel Of John With the changing of tides shortly after Jesus ascension, the death of the all the disciples but John and the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem, a new way of sharing the Gospel was needed. The reason for this new means of communicating the Gospel was because no one was left who had actually walked with Jesus. Therefore, John the disciple throws a rummage sale in writing his account of Jesus; which was so much different than the other three Gospel writers. His purpose was for people to know what it means to follow Jesus without him being physically present as he was for the twelve. Specifically, John focuses on the personal conversations of Jesus and others (Peterson 2); so much so that 90% of John s book is unique, contains no parables ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
