Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in American women and around 12
percent of women will develop invasive breast cancer in their lifetime.1 Patients have the choice of
5 different types of mastectomy: total mastectomy with removal of breast tissue without lymph
node removal, modified radical mastectomy where the entire breastand axillary lymph nodes are
removed, radical mastectomy where entire breast and chest muscles are removed, partial
mastectomy frequently referred to as breast conservative surgery where only cancerous tissue is
removed, or subcutaneous mastectomy where breast tissue is removed with conservation of the
nipple and areola.2 The standard of care in the United States for women who have had mastectomy
secondary to breast cancer is to receive a breast reconstruction.2 On top of a common but
devastating diagnosis of breast cancer with fears of facing months of chemotherapy and radiation,
most women also make the decision to beat the cancer with a mastectomy and reconstruction.

Identity Disorder. All three of these are very serious, but all in there own way. First, there is Post
Traumatic Stress Disorder, also known as PTSD. This is a disease that develops after a terrible
event happens in the victim s life. Some of the main symptoms of PTSD include reliving the
incident, including flashbacks, nightmares and triggers, avoiding the situation including places and
other incidents where they face similar situations, and feeling keyed up, including having a hard
time concentrating and sleeping (Besser 2015). In the movie, the main character, Anna, watches her
family s boathouse explode, killing her mother. This is a tragic event that stuck in her. This event
caused her to have PTSD. Throughout the movie, she has nightmares about the night that she

The United States of America has five basic principles which ensure the ability of the country. The
basic foundations: fundamental worth, equality of all persons, majority rule minority rights,
necessity of compromise, and ividual freedom. This paper reviews three of the five principles:

Troxel Vs. Granville is the case at hand, concerning the lives of two grandchildren who are not
allowed to see their paternal grandparents. Visitation rights is what the grandparents are seeking
to attain. Gary and Jennifer Troxel are both physically and mentally capable of being with their
two grandchildren, but instead have been forbidden by their daughter in law. Brad Troxel, the
father of these two children committed suicide six years ago. The mother forbids visitation
rights at all. To uphold the necessity of compromise, visitation rights must be granted to these
loving, caring, and able grandparents. These children will lose out on a colossal amount of
family history and values unless the Supreme Court rules in favor of the grandparents.
Grandparents may not be a part of the nuclear family (father, mother, and children). However
with the absence of the father they already lack a nuclear family to learn from. A compromise
must be made to save these children and their grandparents from all the grief that is being caused
by the children s mother. This is the only way to uphold this basic foundation. Any person who
sees these examples might worry that the United States of America has simply failed to structure a
