Trash Bag Experiment
Analysis The question for the experiment was "Which brand of trash bag can hold the most?" The
hypothesis for this experiment was "If the Kirkland brand is tested, then it will hold the most
weight?" The Independent Variable of the experiment was the weight that is put in the cans. The
Dependent Variable for the project was how much weight the bags will hold before they break. The
Control Variables were the same location, same weight that is added to the bags, and the trash bags
were the same size. Once the trash bag is hanging on the ladder, then add five cans. If the bag is still
holding the weight, then add another five cans. When the experiment was conducted, the bags
usually ripped around 20 or 25 cans. Some brand of bags, however, lasted longer that 35 cans. ...

Pacific Trash Vortex
As humans we forget how much of what we do is polluting the Earth. Dumping trash on the side of
the road because you are too lazy to throw it in the trash or recycles at home can be disastrous.
People may forget that wind can pick up the plastic or other floating material into the ocean.
Causing you to end up polluting the ocean with non–consumable things for animals. All that
pollution from others from Japan to North America pollutes and it can all build up. The place with
some of the largest trash in the world in the Pacific Trash Vortex.
The vortex has so much trash its estimated length is unknown due to scientists saying that about
70% of marine debris sinks to the bottom of the ocean. Knowing that what you see on the surface
cannot add up to what you see underneath. The trash vortex is confined by the North Pacific Gyre.
Which is a system created by a system of circular ocean currents formed by Earths wind patterns
and the forces created by the rotation of the planet. The currents that affect this vortex of trash is
California North Equatorial, Kuroshiro, and North Pacific currents. They move in a clockwise
direction around an area of about 20 million square kilometers. This is what causes the trash to
accumulate in the pacific. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

them overcome their hardships. Trash (2010), a novel by Andy Mulligan, ends with the protagonists
Raphael, Gardo and Rat starting their new life together. In the course of the novel, they faced many

leadership in the scene when he went to the prison to get the bible. A quote which gives evidence of
this quality is "Gardo spoke again in his owen language." (Mulligan, 2011' pg.127). Finally, Gardo's
quality of trust is shown in the scene where they are at the station to go to the locker. A quote which
gives evidence of this quality is "we should not trust nobody but our selves" ( Mulligan, 2011,

Cash In The Trash Bin
Cash in The Trash Bin
My ecology action project will be on recycling water bottles and soda cans and cash them in for
money to give to my school and church. My mom and step–dad will be driving me around town to
pick up cans and water bottles. Numerous stores will also be asked if we will be able to put
recycling bins in their stores. All of the bottles and cans will be put together and cashed in every one
to two weeks depending on the amount. By doing this action the environment will be a little less
messy and money will be given back to our community. This project will be done a little every day.
This ecology project was chosen because of doing this it is going to help my community and doing a
little every day. Also, by doing this, we will learn actually how much trash is in our community. My

Trash On Campus
My first reason for thinking something should be done about the trash on campus is because the
trash can hurt animals. I learned on environmentalchemistry.com that discarded fishing lines can
trap the legs, wings, or neck of waterfowl such as swans and moorhens. A fishhook may get stuck in
a bird's throat. I know there are no fishing lines at our school, and there are no poisons, but the
plastic and papers around school could hurt animals big or little. We may not see the animals while
we are at school, but I think it is best that we try to prevent the harming of animals. Even though we
might not leave six–pack soda holders on campus, the trash might be blown onto campus. Water
birds suffer lead poisoning when they accidentally swallow small lead ... Show more content on

The second article I used was from greenlivingideas.com. On that site, I learned that the Pacific
Ocean has three garbage patches. The Eastern Garbage Patch, The Western Garbage Patch, and the
Subtropical Convergence Zone, which is located in the North Pacific. "This is an oceanic mess of an
unprecedented degree. Because the billions of pounds of trash are dispersed over so much of the
open ocean, it cannot be dragged in, and because it contains so many types of garbage– including
microplastics that have broken down because of saltwater and sun exposure, some of it cannot even
be gathered. And plastic never fully degrades, it just breaks down into a smaller and smaller pieces."
According to the EPA, every piece of plastic ever made is still in existence. This quote makes me
think that trash has a huge impact on animals and the rest of our world. Even the smallest piece of
trash can kill or injure animals badly. I sent out a survey, and two of four people said yes, they
noticed even the smallest piece of trash or the least amount of trash can kill an animal, and it was
human waste. The quote I used was, "No one knows how much debris makes up the Great Pacific

Why Trash Is Wrong
Well first off i'm all for recycling more but making it a law would be going to far in my option. The
three tash can idea is to much if you ask me. Food an normal trash should be in one can and
recyclables she be in another. If its a law and someone messes up then they get a ticket for putting
the wrong thing in the wrong trash can. Because if you have three cans that will probley end up
confusing for some poeple, like older men and women. The taxes would go up because the state
would have to hire more wroks at the landfill. They would also have to hire people to go around an
inspect poeple's trash can an see if they are even following the law. That would intail buying
company cars an paying for the gas, oil changes, tires, insureinse,an not to mention there pay
checks. It would probley make some people mad, because alot of people are living from pay check
to pay check an can not aford to pay extra ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because if they had to check the trash cans an it happens to be behind a fence in someones back
yard, they can not go back there till they have permission for the house onwer or it would be
trespassing an an invasion or privacy. And I dont know about you, but I would not want a stranger
going into my back yard an going through my trash can.
If they put chips in our trash cans to monatire the weight of the trash put in to it that sounds kinda
exspensive to me. I mean what if it brakes or get damaged by something that not your fault are they
going to spend the money to fix it? I dont really think the state would, I think the state would have
you pay for some one to come take a look at it an fix it or replace it. And if you dont get it fix it will
rpobly be another fine becuase you didnt get it fixed. Not to mention putting chips in my trash cans
would a invasion of my own privacy. What and how much i throw away is no ones bussiness but i

Plastic Trash : A Piece Of Trash
More Than We Think If there is trash on the floor do we simply pick it up and throw it away, or do
we leave it there for someone else to do. If everyone in the world had the same thinking mentality of
" It's just one piece of trash, it's not hurting anyone or causing a problem". Do you think it would
still just be a piece of trash. To think that, that one piece of trash could help you decide who you're
going to be and how you affect the outcome in you life as well as others. Would you second guess
that pieces of trash. Overtime people would walk past that one piece and along the way more pieces
of trash began to surround it. To think those people who passed and left their trash would scoff and
say it's just one piece of trash and I am just a person what would it do if I threw away this one piece.
That piece became a pile and so forth. Now think of it in its opposite form. What if we viewed it as
we should throw this piece away, as simple as that. Even if it was a few people or just that one. It
only does take one person to start a chain reaction and a positive one of that. Who knew it would
just take a person to make a difference, to change how they viewed things in order to have a more
positive outcome. Whether it may be a more common sense scenario like that or listening to a
person express their views with an inspirational moral, we can learn bigger and better things of our
true meanings. Take kelley Johnson for example, former Miss Colorado , Second runner up for Miss

WHITE TRASH: THE 400–YEAR UNTOLD HISTORY OF CLASS IN AMERICA
As students, we are often taught about the different caste systems and how America's system was so
much better. But is it really? If you have grown up and studied in American high schools, where
textbooks are mostly censored, and the history lessons are sugar–coated to present this country in
the most positive light, which prides itself on freedom and equality for all, then this book comes as a
rude awakening. History has pretty much always been told from the perspective of those in the
position of power, while the less fortunate are always brushed to the side with no mention. This
book provides a rare and disturbing insight into the cultural history of class and ... Show more

Isenberg, introduces the poor white class as unfortunate victims of circumstance, having been born
in the lowest ranks of British society. The British colonial system imposed a class hierarchy based
on wealth, pedigree, and land ownership and these were the vagrant people Britain wanted to get rid
of. Isenberg starts off from the 16th Century with the exploration of the New World, where the
British wanted to dump their "waste" people which consisted of the poor, indigent, and criminals
who would be shipped off and be the labor force for the new colonies. She takes us through the
various generations of the poor whites leading up to the 21st–century present–day cultivation of
trailer trash in the reality shows like Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
Each phase creates a new generation of stigmas and slurs, and there are many. Isenberg does a great
job of going through the different phases and the idea of "white trash" especially as it pertains to the
name and variations of the name. For example, the term "white trash" is a concept invented by the
landed class in the South, to refer to their "inferiors". Southerners who fancied themselves to be in a
privileged class. Some of the other names they have been given across centuries are waste people,

Basketball is one of the most popular sports in America. The sport is played all around the world. It
doesn't take much to play a game of basketball, all you need is a ball and basketball hoop. A lot of
kids start out playing in the playground, attempting to shoot the basketball inside the basket.
Usually, you will find yourself shooting around in a nearby gym or park. As other players trickle in
and join you in your shoot around, enough bodies will be available to form two teams and a game of
pickup basketball will be established. Before you know it, you will be running up and down the

Andy Mulligan's Trash
The assignment I chose to do was "Option 4: Creating a book code" and the steps I had to
accomplish in order to finish are quite simple. First and foremost I had to complete the assigned
reading,"Trash" By Andy Mulligan and I then used pages 231–232 as a starter for my book code.
From there I had to fully comprehend the idea of a book code and come up with one since there can
be many variations to a book code. I went with the one that was explained on page 231 where the
first number represents the page you start on, second is the amount of lines down you need to go and
the next number is how many characters (includes punctuation and spaces) you have to go in. The
slash represents the turning of a new page. After that point, I came up with ... Show more content on

For example,I mistakenly put 9.14. instead of 9.1.4. This mistake would have caused some
confusion amongst the decoding of my secret message. Also, I'm proud of the way I was able to
manage my time completing the assignment. I didn't procrastinate and I took my time making sure
every move I made was correct. In contrast, one thing I could have done better was coming up with
my own book code. I could have made my own version to make the message a little harder to
decode. The reason for a book code is to send messages with a key that no one else knows, but at
least one other person will understand how to decode my work. Furthermore, one skill I have
improved on is my typing. I am now typing considerably faster due to completing this project and
reflection. Also, my knowledge of codes has increased since I decided to research a bit more on
different types of codes. For example, I found out that Julius Caesar used two ciphering systems
when he was general of the Roman armies, known as "Caesar Box Codes" and "Caesar Shift". Also,
after completing this task I understand that when doing a book code you need to really concentrate
on what you're doing. You can easily make mistakes in your work if you're not focused and I
understand that

The Effect Of Trash On The Ocean
Once upon a time, a dolphin named Blue and a sea horse named Gary were playing a game of tag.
When suddenly, they stumbled upon a plastic container. "Whoa! What's that?" Blue asked. "I think
it's food" Gary said.
"Wait a second, it's food!" Gary said "I'm very hungry, so I'm gonna eat it" "No don't" cried Blue, "It
is trash that humans threw in the ocean, it is very dangerous to you." Blue told Gary how it can
make him sick if he eats it.
Blue also tells Gary how trash is bad for the ocean. The trash is hurtful to the animals that keep the
ocean nice and healthy. Gary decides to take the container to the surface and incinerate it with his
handy flamethrower.

About 1.4 billion pounds of trash enter the ocean per year. As I discovered through research, trash in
the ocean has a huge impact on our environment and life. Trash in the ocean is dangerous and
harmful towards animals and us. The majority of the trash that ends up in the ocean usually comes
from activities on land. The sources that pollute water is sewage sludge, industrial waste, etc. The
highest peak of sewage of dumping was 18 million tons in 1980. Sewage dumping was later reduced
to 12 million tons in the 1990s. Industrial waste also gets dumped into the ocean as well and the
numbers aren't any better. Ocean dumping can affect the environment in many ways. The
environment in the ocean gets affected especially for marine life.

Initially when plastic was discovered, it gave people a sense of hope to accomplish things that were
once thought of impossible. Additionally, new companies, factories and idea's emerged as a result of
the discovery of plastic and its flexibility in manipulating the chemical structure. For example,
Industries in 1960 adapted to supply produce with plastics from plastics bags to plastic bottles
because it saved them lots money from collecting raw materials from all over the world and it gave
them the advantage to control the production. It was then thought of as a boon to our economy
because people were able to divert from purchasing expensive materials to cheaper ones; however;
people did not expect the plastics material to cause harmful effects on our environment.

Trash Should Be Illegal
I do not personally think it would be a good ideal to put a law on how you throw away your trash. If
someone does not want to recycle then they should not be forced to. Forcing people to recycle
would only do more bad then good, it would make a lot of people angry, it would cause people to go
aginst the law and start throwing more trash in the streets, and some people just dont have the
money to afford the trash bins. If people really want to make a diffrence in the world on how things
are handled then trying to make a law that forces people to do what you think they should is not
going to fix anything. Making a law that tells people they can or can not do something will not
always work, for example, drinking and driving, its aginst the law yet people still do it. In all of
history people have always gone aginst the law, they don't like to be forced to do something,
exspeally doing something diffrent from what they have always been doing or what they were taught
to do. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

some way. There needs to be a better reason then just saving the enviorment, because some people
just don't care, they are greedy and only want to do something if they can gain something else.

the novel "Trash,"? Andy Mulligan divides the rich and the poor by showing that the rich have more
freedom, a better appearance and get to be buried in the ground, "You should see me, dressed to

Mulligan shows the separation of the wealthy and the disadvantaged by describing, the wall at the

Netting Trash Trap
The water quality of the U–High creek was determined to be excellent. However, not all areas of
water have an excellent water quality. One way humans can negatively impact the water quality of
an area of water can include using large amounts of fertilizers for the farming purpose of growing
crops. These fertilizers end up draining into rivers and increasing the concentration of chemicals like
nitrates and phosphates, thus causing the buildup of algae and blocking sunlight from providing
energy to the organisms and plants in the water. Another way humans can impact the water quality
negatively involves using chemical waste products in factories because chemicals like cyanide, zinc,
copper, lead, and mercury in these products can get into rivers and kill off animals living in the
water. Additionally, these chemicals can invade rivers so much that they affect the food cycle to the

The Netting Trash Trap captures and removes waste from stormwater and industrial plants using
energy from the flow of the water to trap trash in disposable mesh. (Fresh Creek Technologies, Inc.,
10/27/16) A benefit of this solution is that it doesn't require or need a pump or plug–in to work.
Because the Netting Trash Trap runs by the energy of the flow, systems don't have a problem
wearing out or needing additional power. In addition to this, the Netting Trash Trap systems are
designed for an extended trouble–free service. These devices can last over 20 years. (Fresh Creek

"Boy that's all you are, that's what all of you are. You are a piece of garbage" (P. 66). Trash by Andy
Mulligan opens our eyes to the mistreatment of people with a lower status in society due to poverty.
Multiple problems are occurring in third world countries all around the globe such as corruption,
poverty, and mistreatment. These problems have been brought to light in the book by using a
remarkable storyline with a clever use of various language techniques. The storyline of the book is

Andy Mulligan's choice for the boys growing up in a dump is something that is happening in many
places all around the world. This storyline educates people about how they live, what they eat and
how they earn money so that you're not just reading a book you're learning something about the
world around you." You want to come see? Well, you can smell Behala way before you can see it."
(P.4). This sentence emphasizes the mass amount of trash there is that is just dumped there. The use
of Hyperbole is over dramatic and contrasts the life of the rich with those of the less fortunate. "The
wall divides the rich quarter, where the dead get buried in earth, from the poor quarter, where the
dead get stacked up in boxes" (P.180). Symbolism realy brings the story to life and shows the
seriouse differences between the two social statuses. Even just describing how they are buried
moves the reader because of the differnce and how lucky people are. The use of symbolism
heightens our awareness of this discrepancy. Poverty happens everywhere, and this sheds some light

Technot Trash Is Wrong
Let's face it –– we all buy and use the latest tech without thinking about the consequences. After all,
when the new iPhone is released, who's going to think about its effect on the environment and
humans? But while technology has been beneficial to our lives, we should be cautious about the
consequences of using technology and advancing it beyond what we can understand. Today, with
over 7 billion people on Earth, the demand for technology is rising rapidly. As companies work hard
to meet demands and mass produce technology for both society and businesses, they release harmful
chemicals and gasses which pollute the environment and result in climate changes (Ramey). And not
only does the overproduction of technology pollute the air, but it also harms the ground that we
stand on. Technotrash, or any broken or unwanted electronic device, is currently the most rapidly–
growing type of waste (Green) and according to GreenDisk, a company dedicated towards safely
recycling technotrash, over 80% of technotrash is not being recycled. While technotrash represents
only 2% of America's trash in landfills, it equals 70% (emphasis) of overall toxic waste ("11 Facts")
because the toxins in technology can leak into the ground (Anthony). For example, lead from cell

Dex Trash
What does a society label as trash? Those who are born into a situation in which they can do nothing
to contribute to said society, or those who only can consume the resources of said society and leave
solely destruction in their wake. These are the questions considered when reading the books Dexter
by Design by Jeff Lindsay and Trash by Andy Mulligan. In the final leg of Dexter by Design I
followed "Dubious Dimpled Dexter (Lindsay 241)" on a noble quest to kill the Brando Weiss, a
serial killer, trying to kill Dexter, the serial killer, before the serial killer could kill Dexter. In this not
so simple game of cat and other cat, only one can emerge as top dog. Where I left off in the book

Although the exact amount isn't known, it is known that the corrupt Senator Zapanta squandered
billions of pesos in relief money. This money, had it been used correctly, could have been the boys
salvation from a life of poverty living in a dumpsite. Due to this, the money technically already
belongs to them, and to everyone else living in squalor in the city. In reality, the boys are completely
justified in taking this money for themselves being that the senator used it so poorly. But wait there's
more; one of the senator's servants stole the money and hid it so that a citizen of the city could
possibly use it for a worthwhile cause. Once the senator found this out this servant was brutalized by
police and subsequently "disappeared." So now, on top of all the reasons the boys have to take the
money as their own, they now have vengeance at the very top of the list. For this reason I can
predict that the boys will spend the money to better themselves and the

Andy Mulligan's Trash
In the book, Trash by Andy Mulligan a group of teenage boys work on a dumpsite. They find
something that changes their life and they have to work together to find out secrets and run from the
cops to love a normal life. Education is mentioned in the book by Mulligan and by the boys, who
explain that they can read, but some of the other children cant, which makes it hard for them.
Countering the argument that "Education is not important if you work on a dumpsite"
I disagree "whether or whether not an education is not important if you live on a dump site or live in
poverty". I agree with this statement and have listed three arguments below to further my opinion.
The first reason is that an education could be useful, because some of the people living trash find
money and get a job. If you were working on the dump site and you found something that changed
your life, you could go get a job. If you have a job you can earn money, and to sustain and maintain
a good job you need an education. If you were trying to find out how much you've made in a week
or trying to calculate certain things because your boss wants to convert some numbers. Speaking to
different people in the same area or even people in another country. All ... Show more content on

If a dumpsite has a school or a computer, you can use that to read. The newspapers would be very
useful for the people who want to find out the news and updates that you probably wouldn't be able

to agree. An example could be if you were talking to someone about general things and the city and
jobs comes up you wouldn't be able to say anything because you wouldn't know what to say because

Student Trash Essay
At CHS the biggest problem is the lack of trash being thrown away in the trash cans. Students being
lazy to properly dispose their trash into the trash can. Many do go off campus to have lunch and
come back dropping their bags of chips onto the ground and having the janitor pick up having him
to do more work than he should. Another big problem at this school is students not understanding
the topic brought to in class. Resulting in students failing and not passing their classes. So bringing
students and staff on to this broad subject can impact one another in a positive way. Less work for
staff to be worried about the trash issue and students not stressing about not knowing what was
introduced in class. So if they do have a test the next day students wouldn't really know anything. So
taking time with the subject while having students engaged and asking them questions can really
help them understand the subject. So they can ace their test.
What can we do to address this issue? Is repetition to get the students attention. Just one simple
announcement and they'll forget the next day. So discussing the issue on daily emails, rallies, and
having teachers talk about the problem with trash can remind students that all trash goes in the trash
cans. The change students are to commit is to walk ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Having more trash cans can be more reachable for students who don't want to walk far to throw
away an empty bag of chips. Adding discipline can play a huge role in a situation like this. So if a
staff member catches a student leaving their trash on the floor. They can walk up to the student to
tell them to throw it away and if I catch you one more time you're getting detention. Simply doing
that can intrude the student to not do that again. At teacher meetings discussing a different and more
productive way to teach their students can help us to understand the topic. So when we something
similar on the quiz we know what to

The first theme that will be compared between Trash and Millions is the theme of friendship. In the
text Trash Gardo and Raphael have a very strong friendship, so strong in fact that Raphael sees

Rat convinces the boys to throw the money over Bahala for the poor people who live there just like
Millions at the end of the movie, it shows poor people in Africa having clean water coming from the

Trash In America
The life of trash. It may be old, disgusting, and unwanted, but it lives way longer then we can see it.
In this trash you can find things such as bottles, food, cans, clothes, and "old technology". Sitting at
a lunch table one might want to talk and enjoy their time with friends in the small break of the day.
But they could be sitting and watching the trashcans with all their potential. The trash has lives too.
Their life (cycle) could continue, but so many decide to end it after they are done with it. Many
watch as the life of these items is ended early and unnecessarily. With the U.S. population
approximately 320,000,000 persons and growing, recycling has the potential to have a huge impact
economically, socially and environmentally. The U.S. (and 30 other countries) is part of the
O.E.C.D. (Organization for Economic Co–Operation and Development). This organization exists for
governments to discuss global issues facing their countries, including disposing and recycling.
Working through the O.E.C.D. global change could occur especially if America, the world's largest
contributor, would lead. Recycling is small for individuals but can have huge rewards if everyone is
involved. This can be accomplished by increasing awareness, education, and through incentives
and/or fines.

Trash Waste Essay
A simple chore: "take out the trash". Take the trash bag full of junk, place it in the bin, and let it sit
till it's taken away. Now try to picture doing this with the junk in your brain, complicated huh?
Reality is, you could never fit all the trash you have ever owned into one trash bag. Our brain is just
the same, one trash bag will not fix the full garage of junk we have in our brain. The problem we
face as humans are how we compare taking out the literal trash and mental trash. That single trash
bag isn't all the trash we have stored in our minds. The first bag of trash is only the light layer upon
layers underneath. One thing that strikes my brain while visualizing trash being taken out is, we wait
until it's taken away! We are waiting for someone else to pick up our own garbage and take it. It
takes years and hard work to empty your trash on a daily basis. In my personal experience, taking
out the trash is no easy task. Through the past 3 months of health scares and injuries, I have come to
realize that I was never emptying my trash, but I was only moving it to the back of my brain. My
family and I went out to New Mexico to hopefully heal what was broken inside. Dr. Hao said
something that I refused to believe at that point in time because at sixteen I should have life figured
out right? He clearly stated, "You aren't letting anything go." Quickly my brain fired back with this,
"what do you mean, I've talked about my problems with counselors, my parents, teachers,

The Trash Sample
Within the trash sample I analyzed there were around 234 items thrown away within a week's
period. Many of the items thrown away were thrown away in pairs suggesting that two people live
in the dwelling that the sample was taken in. Some examples of items thrown away in pairs include,
Starbucks cups, church bulletins, and Bounty paper towels. Bounty paper products, napkins and
paper towels, show up on the record 24 times, suggesting that Bounty paper products are used over
three times per day, corresponding with meals. Other brands that show up in the sample often
include Green Giant, four times, Kroger Brand, twelve times. Within the Kroger brand items there
are six plastic ziploc bags, this suggests that the people who live in this home either take their lunch
to work or school, or pre–package their snacks at home into serving sizes. The two church bulletins,
and church offering envelopes, suggest that both members of the household went to church once the
week they took their trash sample. Another interesting item thrown away was an old Tommy
Hilfiger brand shirt. The members of this household make enough money to throw away old clothes,
suggesting that they live comfortably. We also can tell what bank they use because they threw away
a check box from Regions bank. There was a lot of first aid items in the trash sample as well
multiple boxes of bandages and a box of non–stick gauze pads this suggests that someone in the
home had a wound that needed to be dressed. One can

Andy Mulligan's Trash
The novel 'Trash', is a novel about three dumpsite boys, Raphael, Gardo and Rat, trying to hide from
the police. At the beginning of the book, Raphael finds a bag containing money and the identity of
José Angelico, which they later find out is dead. It turns out that José Angelico stole money off
Senator Regis Zapanta and the police are looking for the bag to track him down. Meanwhile,
Raphael, Gardo and Rat are trying to hide the bag from the police and at the same time find the
money that José stole.
My overall opinion on the novel 'Trash', by Andy Mulligan, is that the storyline is well set up and
flows very smoothly. Although there are different point of views, it is not confusing because the
character informs the reader that they are taking over from the previous character. The main event,
the mystery of the bag, was very captivating and made me want to read more of the story to find out

One of the few aspects that I disliked was that the smaller events in the story, such as Raphael
getting arrested was announced very abruptly. I disliked the events being so sudden because for me,
there was no clue to determine what would happen next, and so there was not a large amount of
mystery. One of the many aspects that I liked about 'Trash' is the different point of views and how
they are not confusing to determine which character's point of view it is from. Another aspect I liked
is how the story is based on major world problems, pollution and poverty. I really liked this because
the book does not only entertain but it educates and sends an important message to the reader as
well. One aspect that I would really like to see from the Andy Mulligan in the future is another
book, based on the lives of all characters in the book. When Olivia Weston and Raphael, Rat and
Gardo leave the Behala dumpsite, it left me curious on where they went and how their lives

Trash by Andy Mulligan "Trash" is an amazing book written by author Andy Mulligan. Throughout
this Novel it implies some powerful messages for the reader. Most people believe child labor was
abolished years ago but the novel implies that children as young as three years old have to work in
these poverty stricken places. One of the strongest points he implies is written on the front of the
book "you never know what you might find". The last but not least idea that this novel implies is
that poor countries governments can but shouldn't be allowed to get away with theft. All through

countries. In "Trash" Andy Mulligan presents his ideas in a short novel.

My Service Learning Hours At Asarese Matters Community Center
This spring semester I had the privilege of completing my service learning hours at Asarese Matters
Community Center. I chose to conduct my hours of service at this site because I felt like I could
relate to the kids that are experiencing a life of poverty with limited mobility opportunities. Most my
time spent there I interacted with a majority of the kids through basketball and competitive activities
like billiards, ping pong and talking sports. While observing relationships and interactions between
staff and youth that attend the community center I noticed the important role that sport and
education played in the life of the children. Using my sociological imagination, I would like to
explore the role of sport and the interactions and behaviors that takes place during competitive
situations, also the role of education and the kids perception on going to college and using sport and
education as a way of succeeding and escaping the concentrated poverty of the Buffalo
communities. Using the lived experience that I encountered and knowledge acquired in the past, I
will try to piece together a connection and express how the macro level expectations of a community
to prosper influences the self esteem, behaviors and attitudes among social groups at the micro level
here in the city of Buffalo and at Asarese–Matters community center. Winning and Losing A

Hill-Billy : Appalachia And Minority Discrimination In...
The phrase "Hill–billy"
When hearing someone described as hick, redneck or hilly Billy, it is hard to believe those word are
technically ethnic slurs. Ethnic slurs, or phrases of generalized ethnic indecency, often come up with
the thought of minority discrimination. Minorities, are almost always at a disadvantage in society
since systems where been built for the majority, or common population, and it takes time and
progressive mindsets to change that. But what happens when the minority exists amongst the
population of the majority. Appalachia is a very small representation of overall white population in
America. However, since it is a white population, the thought of ethnic slurs does not seem like
something that would exist to label the group. But since the term is a persona used to label certain
people in the Country, it is derogatory. Even though some people may recognize words like Hill
Billy or redneck as not applying to Appalachia, but to the generalization of "White Trash," the
origins are from the personas and ideals decoratively associated with the people from Appalachia.
Other than being white, there is another major reason generalized personas arise specifically for
Appalachia, and that is isolation. Unlike most ethnic and cultural groups, Appalachians, are from
and in Appalachia and only Appalachia. Of course, hillbilly is thrown around not always in direct
description of the group, but the persona associated with term is completely rooted in

Good Trash Essay
Dear Mrs Lewis, I have read your article and simply believe your concern over the young adults of
today not reading enough classics and reading the so called 'Good Trash' is completely misplaced.
While I do not deny that many young readers get turned off to classic novels because of the
stereotype that they are past their prime ,boring, full of unintelligible vocabulary, and don't pertain to
them in their current daily life.
However, I do not agree with you deeming modern young adult fiction as not intellectually

it 'good trash'.You believe that the book market is polarised between the 'easy' commercial books

the characteristics of a young adult novel alongside the heavy themes of friendship, family and
morality in this tale of futile survival, issues that adults face, too. Do you truly believe the teenagers

Argumentative Essay On White Trash
White Trash Bash
I strive for personal happiness in life. Some people would equate their happiness to money, personal
possessions, or even success. While the standard for being happy will vary based on personal
preference, I have noticed that the people that surround my life can make a significant impact on my
overall happiness. For this reason, I have learned to avoid "white trash." Their actions do nothing to
increase happiness in others' lives, in fact, in my experience they have done more harm than good.
The term "white trash" does not necessarily refer to a person who lives in a white. The stereotype for
"white trash" is typically Caucasian, dressing provocatively, and having poor hygiene. Furthermore,
they are negligent parents, physically violent, and alcoholics, and they should be avoided. By
understanding the key signs through their appearance and actions, people can avoid them and
hopefully keep happiness and joy a part their lives.
White trash people all exhibit three main characteristics in their appearance. The first easily
noticeable sign is their ethnicity. white trash almost exclusively refers to Caucasian Americans.
white trash is slang used in America to refer to lower income Caucasian families. This term derives
from "white trash" which came about in the 1830's. African American slaves would show an
extensive amount of contempt towards white servants, thus developing the slang term "white trash".
Another easy way to spot white trash is their clothing. Due to the low income their clothes tend to be
ill fitting. Over the years, this has transformed into more revealing clothing for men and women.
Men will wear jean shorts, crocs, and alcohol affiliated baseball hats. In addition, they will wear a
soiled a–line tank top, also known as a "wife beater", or no shirt at all. Women often wear tops
showing excessive cleavage, midriff, and lower back. It is easy to see a woman's brightly colored
thong peeking out of their skirts, rising along their hips creating what's called a "whale tail". Another
important detail in identifying white trash is their poor physical hygiene. They will normally have
greasy hair, oily skin, terrible body odor, and disastrous teeth. Perhaps they don't see this as an

Trash
Trash is a book written by Andy Mulligan, the book is about three kids that work at a dumpsite.
'Education is not helpful when you work at a dumpsite'. I want to back up this topic because it is true
that education is not helpful when you work at a dumpsite because at a very young age they send
children to pick up rubbish so education wouldn't be helpful when you are picking up rubbish why?
Because you will not use education while picking up rubbish.
Children that work at a dumpsite are trying to make money for their family so that being said
education is not very important when you are working most of the day sifting through the trash.
Children that are working at a dumpsite are helping their family with money.
The main character in the book ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is a lot of people around the world that haven't been educated because of similar reason like
this dumpsite boy.
One of Raphael's friends Jun–Jun (Rat) is another dumpsite boy and he hasn't had a new pair of
clothes for years and he is not educated why? Because he is the same person as Raphael both
dumpsite boys both have no money to get educated. Children at a young age is working under age to
make money to help their families.
Imagine if you are in that position and you are working everyday trying to make good money, if you
think about it education won't be helpful especially when you live in a dangerous country.
Education is not important for people who work at dumpsites because they will not use education
while picking up trash. Money can be used for better things like your family needs not education
because family matters most.
That are some reasons why education is not helpful when you work at a dumpsite. I made myself
pretty clear why it isn't important when you work at a dumpsite and have no money and you can do
better stuff with money then education, family is most important before anything take care of your
family then you can do whatever you want with your money than get

The Garbage Of Trash Garbage
Community Trash Pickup Trash, also known as litter is a very big concern everywhere in the world.
"Litter is nothing but a piece of waste or rubbish that has been disposed improperly, without consent
and at wrong location. Littering simply means throwing away objects on the ground or leaving them
lying on the ground instead of disposing them at garbage can, recycling bin or trash container."
(What is Litter?") It is very concerning that there are only a few people who would like to make a
change within their own community. The trash laying alongside the highways is very distracting, it
makes you want to stop and pick it up. Many people who feel such a way decide that they need to
come up with a plan that could get their community involved. The environment that we live in needs
to be treated better, if only humans could take a second look at what it actually does look like. There
are so many ideas and ways trash could be taken care of instead of just being disposed alongside the
highways, on the streets, or anywhere else it does not belong besides in a garbage can. It is very
disappointing that many people do not even care at all that the mother earth is very trashy. However,
there are a few good people out there who take their time to keep their community looking nice and
clean. It is surprising when you do notice the few places that you travel by are clean. Some ways
that a community can get motivated in trash pickup would be to start off with your friends who

Trash Pollution In Guatemala
Roatán Island off the edge of Guatemala has recently discovered a five–mile–long pile of trash. The
heavy rains from the hurricanes this past fall is where this trash has come from. Guatemala's
government doesn't have a formal garbage collection. Roatán Island is located about fifteen miles
off the edge of Guatemala. Trash pollution is becoming worse and worse in the Caribbean. Trash in
ocean is harming more than 600 species worldwide. From what we can tell from the photos of the
trash in Roatán that the trash is anything from plastic bags to leather. Guatemalan people aren't
disposing of their trash correctly; all they do is juts pile their trash up on the side of the riverbanks
and when the rain comes and washes it into the water and then ends up in the ocean. The
government has got to get a fund/organization to get this problem taken care of.
Background
Roatán is an island 15 miles off the coast of the Guatemala See figure 1. Recently discovered in the
last three weeks that a five–mile–long pile of trash is floating towards the island from Guatemala.
The Motagua River (see figure 2) is where this trash has come from. Guatemala is a country that has

Brand Trash Bag Experiment Holds Most Weight

  • 1. Trash Bag Experiment Analysis The question for the experiment was "Which brand of trash bag can hold the most?" The hypothesis for this experiment was "If the Kirkland brand is tested, then it will hold the most weight?" The Independent Variable of the experiment was the weight that is put in the cans. The Dependent Variable for the project was how much weight the bags will hold before they break. The Control Variables were the same location, same weight that is added to the bags, and the trash bags were the same size. Once the trash bag is hanging on the ladder, then add five cans. If the bag is still holding the weight, then add another five cans. When the experiment was conducted, the bags usually ripped around 20 or 25 cans. Some brand of bags, however, lasted longer that 35 cans. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second trial held 14 kilograms. The last trial of the Glad brand held 9.5 kilograms. Dumping trash on the side of the road because you are too lazy to throw it in the trash or recycles at home can be disastrous. People may forget that wind can pick up the plastic or other floating material into the ocean. Causing you to end up polluting the ocean with non–consumable things for animals. All that pollution from others from Japan to North America pollutes and it can all build up. The place with some of the largest trash in the world in the Pacific Trash Vortex. The vortex has so much trash its estimated length is unknown due to scientists saying that about 70% of marine debris sinks to the bottom of the ocean. Knowing that what you see on the surface cannot add up to what you see underneath. The trash vortex is confined by the North Pacific Gyre. Which is a system created by a system of circular ocean currents formed by Earths wind patterns and the forces created by the rotation of the planet. The currents that affect this vortex of trash is California North Equatorial, Kuroshiro, and North Pacific currents. • 9. Trash On Campus My first reason for thinking something should be done about the trash on campus is because the trash can hurt animals. I learned on environmentalchemistry.com that discarded fishing lines can trap the legs, wings, or neck of waterfowl such as swans and moorhens. A fishhook may get stuck in a bird's throat. I know there are no fishing lines at our school, and there are no poisons, but the plastic and papers around school could hurt animals big or little. We may not see the animals while we are at school, but I think it is best that we try to prevent the harming of animals. Even though we might not leave six–pack soda holders on campus, the trash might be blown onto campus. Water birds suffer lead poisoning when they accidentally swallow small lead ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second article I used was from greenlivingideas.com. On that site, I learned that the Pacific Ocean has three garbage patches. The Eastern Garbage Patch, The Western Garbage Patch, and the Subtropical Convergence Zone, which is located in the North Pacific. "This is an oceanic mess of an unprecedented degree. Because the billions of pounds of trash are dispersed over so much of the open ocean, it cannot be dragged in, and because it contains so many types of garbage– including microplastics that have broken down because of saltwater and sun exposure, some of it cannot even be gathered. And plastic never fully degrades, it just breaks down into a smaller and smaller pieces." According to the EPA, every piece of plastic ever made is still in existence. This quote makes me think that trash has a huge impact on animals and the rest of our world. Even the smallest piece of trash can kill or injure animals badly. I sent out a survey, and two of four people said yes, they noticed even the smallest piece of trash or the least amount of trash can kill an animal, and it was human waste. • 11. Why Trash Is Wrong Well first off i'm all for recycling more but making it a law would be going to far in my option. The three tash can idea is to much if you ask me. Food an normal trash should be in one can and recyclables she be in another. If its a law and someone messes up then they get a ticket for putting the wrong thing in the wrong trash can. Because if you have three cans that will probley end up confusing for some poeple, like older men and women. The taxes would go up because the state would have to hire more wroks at the landfill. They would also have to hire people to go around an inspect poeple's trash can an see if they are even following the law. That would intail buying company cars an paying for the gas, oil changes, tires, insureinse,an not to mention there pay checks. If they put chips in our trash cans to monatire the weight of the trash put in to it that sounds kinda exspensive to me. I mean what if it brakes or get damaged by something that not your fault are they going to spend the money to fix it? I dont really think the state would, I think the state would have you pay for some one to come take a look at it an fix it or replace it. • 13. Plastic Trash : A Piece Of Trash More Than We Think If there is trash on the floor do we simply pick it up and throw it away, or do we leave it there for someone else to do. If everyone in the world had the same thinking mentality of " It's just one piece of trash, it's not hurting anyone or causing a problem". Do you think it would still just be a piece of trash. To think that, that one piece of trash could help you decide who you're going to be and how you affect the outcome in you life as well as others. Would you second guess that pieces of trash. Overtime people would walk past that one piece and along the way more pieces of trash began to surround it. To think those people who passed and left their trash would scoff and say it's just one piece of trash and I am just a person what would it do if I threw away this one piece. That piece became a pile and so forth. Now think of it in its opposite form. What if we viewed it as we should throw this piece away, as simple as that. Even if it was a few people or just that one. It only does take one person to start a chain reaction and a positive one of that. Who knew it would just take a person to make a difference, to change how they viewed things in order to have a more positive outcome. Whether it may be a more common sense scenario like that or listening to a person express their views with an inspirational moral, we can learn bigger and better things of our true meanings. WHITE TRASH: THE 400–YEAR UNTOLD HISTORY OF CLASS IN AMERICA As students, we are often taught about the different caste systems and how America's system was so much better. But is it really? If you have grown up and studied in American high schools, where textbooks are mostly censored, and the history lessons are sugar–coated to present this country in the most positive light, which prides itself on freedom and equality for all, then this book comes as a rude awakening. History has pretty much always been told from the perspective of those in the position of power, while the less fortunate are always brushed to the side with no mention. Isenberg, introduces the poor white class as unfortunate victims of circumstance, having been born in the lowest ranks of British society. The British colonial system imposed a class hierarchy based on wealth, pedigree, and land ownership and these were the vagrant people Britain wanted to get rid of. Isenberg starts off from the 16th Century with the exploration of the New World, where the British wanted to dump their "waste" people which consisted of the poor, indigent, and criminals who would be shipped off and be the labor force for the new colonies. She takes us through the various generations of the poor whites leading up to the 21st–century present–day cultivation of trailer trash in the reality shows like Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Each phase creates a new generation of stigmas and slurs, and there are many. Isenberg does a great job of going through the different phases and the idea of "white trash" especially as it pertains to the name and variations of the name. For example, the term "white trash" is a concept invented by the landed class in the South, to refer to their "inferiors". Southerners who fancied themselves to be in a privileged class. It doesn't take much to play a game of basketball, all you need is a ball and basketball hoop. A lot of kids start out playing in the playground, attempting to shoot the basketball inside the basket. Usually, you will find yourself shooting around in a nearby gym or park. As other players trickle in and join you in your shoot around, enough bodies will be available to form two teams and a game of pickup basketball will be established. • 19. Andy Mulligan's Trash The assignment I chose to do was "Option 4: Creating a book code" and the steps I had to accomplish in order to finish are quite simple. First and foremost I had to complete the assigned reading,"Trash" By Andy Mulligan and I then used pages 231–232 as a starter for my book code. From there I had to fully comprehend the idea of a book code and come up with one since there can be many variations to a book code. I went with the one that was explained on page 231 where the first number represents the page you start on, second is the amount of lines down you need to go and the next number is how many characters (includes punctuation and spaces) you have to go in. The slash represents the turning of a new page. After that point, I came up with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example,I mistakenly put 9.14. instead of 9.1.4. This mistake would have caused some confusion amongst the decoding of my secret message. Also, I'm proud of the way I was able to manage my time completing the assignment. I didn't procrastinate and I took my time making sure every move I made was correct. In contrast, one thing I could have done better was coming up with my own book code. I could have made my own version to make the message a little harder to decode. The reason for a book code is to send messages with a key that no one else knows, but at least one other person will understand how to decode my work. Furthermore, one skill I have improved on is my typing. I am now typing considerably faster due to completing this project and reflection. Also, my knowledge of codes has increased since I decided to research a bit more on different types of codes. For example, I found out that Julius Caesar used two ciphering systems when he was general of the Roman armies, known as "Caesar Box Codes" and "Caesar Shift". Also, after completing this task I understand that when doing a book code you need to really concentrate on what you're doing. You can easily make mistakes in your work if you're not focused and I understand that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Gary said "I'm very hungry, so I'm gonna eat it" "No don't" cried Blue, "It is trash that humans threw in the ocean, it is very dangerous to you." Blue told Gary how it can make him sick if he eats it. Blue also tells Gary how trash is bad for the ocean. The trash is hurtful to the animals that keep the ocean nice and healthy. • 25. Trash In The Ocean About 1.4 billion pounds of trash enter the ocean per year. As I discovered through research, trash in the ocean has a huge impact on our environment and life. Trash in the ocean is dangerous and harmful towards animals and us. The majority of the trash that ends up in the ocean usually comes from activities on land. The sources that pollute water is sewage sludge, industrial waste, etc. The highest peak of sewage of dumping was 18 million tons in 1980. Sewage dumping was later reduced to 12 million tons in the 1990s. Industrial waste also gets dumped into the ocean as well and the numbers aren't any better. Additionally, new companies, factories and idea's emerged as a result of the discovery of plastic and its flexibility in manipulating the chemical structure. For example, Industries in 1960 adapted to supply produce with plastics from plastics bags to plastic bottles because it saved them lots money from collecting raw materials from all over the world and it gave them the advantage to control the production. It was then thought of as a boon to our economy because people were able to divert from purchasing expensive materials to cheaper ones; however; people did not expect the plastics material to cause harmful effects on our environment. • 31. Trash Should Be Illegal I do not personally think it would be a good ideal to put a law on how you throw away your trash. If someone does not want to recycle then they should not be forced to. Forcing people to recycle would only do more bad then good, it would make a lot of people angry, it would cause people to go aginst the law and start throwing more trash in the streets, and some people just dont have the money to afford the trash bins. If people really want to make a diffrence in the world on how things are handled then trying to make a law that forces people to do what you think they should is not going to fix anything. Making a law that tells people they can or can not do something will not always work, for example, drinking and driving, its aginst the law yet people still do it. In all of history people have always gone aginst the law, they don't like to be forced to do something, exspeally doing something diffrent from what they have always been doing or what they were taught to do. ... Andy Mulligan divides the rich and the poor by showing that the rich have more freedom, a better appearance and get to be buried in the ground, "You should see me, dressed to kill," (Page 5). One way humans can negatively impact the water quality of an area of water can include using large amounts of fertilizers for the farming purpose of growing crops. These fertilizers end up draining into rivers and increasing the concentration of chemicals like nitrates and phosphates, thus causing the buildup of algae and blocking sunlight from providing energy to the organisms and plants in the water. Another way humans can impact the water quality negatively involves using chemical waste products in factories because chemicals like cyanide, zinc, copper, lead, and mercury in these products can get into rivers and kill off animals living in the water. After all, when the new iPhone is released, who's going to think about its effect on the environment and humans? But while technology has been beneficial to our lives, we should be cautious about the consequences of using technology and advancing it beyond what we can understand. Today, with over 7 billion people on Earth, the demand for technology is rising rapidly. As companies work hard to meet demands and mass produce technology for both society and businesses, they release harmful chemicals and gasses which pollute the environment and result in climate changes (Ramey). And not only does the overproduction of technology pollute the air, but it also harms the ground that we stand on. Countering the argument that "Education is not important if you work on a dumpsite" I disagree "whether or whether not an education is not important if you live on a dump site or live in poverty". The first reason is that an education could be useful, because some of the people living trash find money and get a job. Many do go off campus to have lunch and come back dropping their bags of chips onto the ground and having the janitor pick up having him to do more work than he should. Another big problem at this school is students not understanding the topic brought to in class. Resulting in students failing and not passing their classes. So bringing students and staff on to this broad subject can impact one another in a positive way. Less work for staff to be worried about the trash issue and students not stressing about not knowing what was introduced in class. So if they do have a test the next day students wouldn't really know anything. So taking time with the subject while having students engaged and asking them questions can really help them understand the subject. So they can ace their test. What can we do to address this issue? Is repetition to get the students attention. Just one simple announcement and they'll forget the next day. So discussing the issue on daily emails, rallies, and having teachers talk about the problem with trash can remind students that all trash goes in the trash cans. • 53. Trash Waste Essay A simple chore: "take out the trash". Take the trash bag full of junk, place it in the bin, and let it sit till it's taken away. Now try to picture doing this with the junk in your brain, complicated huh? Reality is, you could never fit all the trash you have ever owned into one trash bag. Our brain is just the same, one trash bag will not fix the full garage of junk we have in our brain. The problem we face as humans are how we compare taking out the literal trash and mental trash. Bounty paper products, napkins and paper towels, show up on the record 24 times, suggesting that Bounty paper products are used over three times per day, corresponding with meals. The phrase "Hill–billy" When hearing someone described as hick, redneck or hilly Billy, it is hard to believe those word are technically ethnic slurs. Ethnic slurs, or phrases of generalized ethnic indecency, often come up with the thought of minority discrimination. Minorities, are almost always at a disadvantage in society since systems where been built for the majority, or common population, and it takes time and progressive mindsets to change that. But what happens when the minority exists amongst the population of the majority. Appalachia is a very small representation of overall white population in America. However, since it is a white population, the thought of ethnic slurs does not seem like something that would exist to label the group. But since the term is a persona used to label certain people in the Country, it is derogatory. Even though some people may recognize words like Hill Billy or redneck as not applying to Appalachia, but to the generalization of "White Trash," the origins are from the personas and ideals decoratively associated with the people from Appalachia. Other than being white, there is another major reason generalized personas arise specifically for Appalachia, and that is isolation. Good Trash Essay Dear Mrs Lewis, I have read your article and simply believe your concern over the young adults of today not reading enough classics and reading the so called 'Good Trash' is completely misplaced. While I do not deny that many young readers get turned off to classic novels because of the stereotype that they are past their prime ,boring, full of unintelligible vocabulary, and don't pertain to them in their current daily life. However, I do not agree with you deeming modern young adult fiction as not intellectually sustaining. I believe it is just your prejudice against young adult fiction which brings you to calling it 'good trash'.You believe that the book market is polarised between the 'easy' commercial books and 'difficult' literary books. However ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It's a 'young adult' sci–fi trilogy that follows the story of the survivors in a world that has been devastated by waves of a destructive alien invasion. These aliens aren't the green and gooey kind – they look just like us. This story is about humanity and the choices we make when we need to survive. Does this sound like a story for children? Well, it certainly does not to me. It has many of the characteristics of a young adult novel alongside the heavy themes of friendship, family and morality in this tale of futile survival, issues that adults face, too. Do you truly believe the teenagers of today should not read these books? Think of the popular YA books. They often deal with subjects of life and death, gender issues, race, sexuality. The big stuff. Can you remember being a teenager? It was not a period of under–thinking. In fact quite the contary. You are constantly living in fast–forward, with new experiences at every corner . Your body and mind is changing by the day. You constantly ask the questions about who you are, and where you fit in. These books are just as sustaining as any of your so called ... • 69. Argumentative Essay On White Trash White Trash Bash I strive for personal happiness in life. Some people would equate their happiness to money, personal possessions, or even success. While the standard for being happy will vary based on personal preference, I have noticed that the people that surround my life can make a significant impact on my overall happiness. For this reason, I have learned to avoid "white trash." Their actions do nothing to increase happiness in others' lives, in fact, in my experience they have done more harm than good. The term "white trash" does not necessarily refer to a person who lives in a white. The stereotype for "white trash" is typically Caucasian, dressing provocatively, and having poor hygiene. Furthermore, they are negligent parents, physically violent, and alcoholics, and they should be avoided. By understanding the key signs through their appearance and actions, people can avoid them and hopefully keep happiness and joy a part their lives. White trash people all exhibit three main characteristics in their appearance. The first easily noticeable sign is their ethnicity. white trash almost exclusively refers to Caucasian Americans. white trash is slang used in America to refer to lower income Caucasian families. This term derives from "white trash" which came about in the 1830's. African American slaves would show an extensive amount of contempt towards white servants, thus developing the slang term "white trash". Another easy way to spot white trash is their clothing. Due to the low income their clothes tend to be ill fitting. Over the years, this has transformed into more revealing clothing for men and women. Men will wear jean shorts, crocs, and alcohol affiliated baseball hats. In addition, they will wear a soiled a–line tank top, also known as a "wife beater", or no shirt at all. Women often wear tops showing excessive cleavage, midriff, and lower back. It is easy to see a woman's brightly colored thong peeking out of their skirts, rising along their hips creating what's called a "whale tail". Another important detail in identifying white trash is their poor physical hygiene. They will normally have greasy hair, oily skin, terrible body odor, and disastrous teeth. Perhaps they don't see this as an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I want to back up this topic because it is true that education is not helpful when you work at a dumpsite because at a very young age they send children to pick up rubbish so education wouldn't be helpful when you are picking up rubbish why? Because you will not use education while picking up rubbish. Children that work at a dumpsite are trying to make money for their family so that being said education is not very important when you are working most of the day sifting through the trash. Spring Break Satire Being hallucinogenically and frivolously satirical by dedicating every single second to its hallucination and frivolity, Spring Breakers, directed by Harmony Korine, embarks on the coming– of–age adventure of four stereotypical college girls on the beach of Florida for their spring break, followed by them getting mixed up through a tangle of convoluted experiences in this stomping ground, full of dubstep, booze, sex, and violence. Possibly the one of the most style–over–substance movie in recent years, Spring Breakers does not underscore its plot and narration and instead grooves on the feeling of drugged wistfulness and alluring visual style, aided by the eye–straining neon lights to express its satirical theme about American society. • 75. The Garbage Of Trash Garbage Community Trash Pickup Trash, also known as litter is a very big concern everywhere in the world. "Litter is nothing but a piece of waste or rubbish that has been disposed improperly, without consent and at wrong location. Littering simply means throwing away objects on the ground or leaving them lying on the ground instead of disposing them at garbage can, recycling bin or trash container." (What is Litter?") It is very concerning that there are only a few people who would like to make a change within their own community. The trash laying alongside the highways is very distracting, it makes you want to stop and pick it up. Many people who feel such a way decide that they need to come up with a plan that could get their community involved. The environment that we live in needs to be treated better, if only humans could take a second look at what it actually does look like. There are so many ideas and ways trash could be taken care of instead of just being disposed alongside the highways, on the streets, or anywhere else it does not belong besides in a garbage can. It is very disappointing that many people do not even care at all that the mother earth is very trashy. However, there are a few good people out there who take their time to keep their community looking nice and clean. It is surprising when you do notice the few places that you travel by are clean. Some ways that a community can get motivated in trash pickup would be to start off with your friends who ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Roatán Island is located about fifteen miles off the edge of Guatemala. Trash pollution is becoming worse and worse in the Caribbean. Trash in ocean is harming more than 600 species worldwide. From what we can tell from the photos of the trash in Roatán that the trash is anything from plastic bags to leather. Guatemalan people aren't disposing of their trash correctly; all they do is juts pile their trash up on the side of the riverbanks and when the rain comes and washes it into the water and then ends up in the ocean. The government has got to get a fund/organization to get this problem taken care of. Background Roatán is an island 15 miles off the coast of the Guatemala See figure 1.
