The Effect Of Organ Harvesting On The Black Market
Opening the door to people being able to buy organs for transplantation if they would not be able to
receive an organ by waiting their turn through the national database, only sets the tone for the
harvesting of organs.
Subsequently, that is why it s never good to leave your drink unattended. All too often people have
been illegally drugged, and kidneys have been stolen in their sleep to satisfy the need of the black
market of organs for transplant. Moreover, an unethical professional, be it a doctor or nurse could
decide not to revive someone based on them being a match for someone that may be waiting to
purchase the first organ that is needed; especially if that person is an organ donor. For years it was said
not to allow the state to put that you re an organ donor on your license for just this reason (Gregory,
2015).
There are websites and videos like the ones below that touch on organ harvesting and human
trafficking to harvest organs on the black market. The unfortunate thing is Amazon has books upon
books on the subject.

Art Nouveau By Edward Burne Jones From The Pre-...
Art nouveau is a elegant decorative art style characterized by ornate patterns of curvilinear lines. This
period of art somewhat rooted from the a mixture of the Arts and Crafts movement, William Morris,
Edward Burne Jones from the Pre Raphaelites and the Japanese style. It became popular across
Europe and the in United States. Art Nouveau as a style is a beautiful mixture of elaborate Celtic
looking patterns, classical elements, flat color and delicate women in nature. This style breaks the
traditional forms from the previous time periods but at the same time, carries it through. These
designers in this time, presented this work as organic forms with rich imagery. Such as Alphonse
Mucha; which he today, is considered the father of this time period, and master of this style. This era
correlates with the brotherhood of the Pre Raphaelites, and with inspirations from the early
Renaissance painters. A melting pot of these famous time periods produced the Art nouveau
movement.
The Art nouveau movement started in Europe around 1890 s and lasted until 1910. It took on many
different characteristics and tried to express the modern world through it s illustrations. There were
many influences and themes across the works and style of Art nouveau. The many designers of this
time looked at past famous works as a foundation and created more of a graphical format within these
Art Nouveau works. Art nouveau designers such as Alphonse Mucha found his greatest inspiration in

But more important question is whether this really led to better quality and transparency of
accounting. 4. Conclusion Main focus of IASB for introducing new standard for business
combinations was that financial statements of companies became more realistic and to represent real
economic position and value of a company. Therefore restriction to acquisition method as the only
option for business combination is the advantage of new standard since using this method, companies
do not have a choice whether to recognize goodwill arising from business combinations. Amortization
was changed with impairment because amortization of goodwill can lead to arbitrary accounting
according to IASB (Shinhan Financial Group n.d., p. 4). Problem arising is that impairment test and
determination of recoverable amount require an active market with homogenies assets and available
prices which is hard to determine as far as intangibles are concerned. Consequently, this leads to more
subjective decisions regarding measurement and leaves a lot of space for management impact on
goodwill. Therefore aim of IASB for transparency and full fair value model is not realized. Although
IASB and FASB are making a lot of efforts, universally accepted treatment of goodwill still does not
exist. Therefore this will remain controversial topic among economists until creators of financial
standards find better solution for goodwill accounting. Reference

Brazilian Culture
II. Characteristics of the Brazilian Culture The culture of Brazil contains many characteristics that
make it unique throughout the world. Like any culture, Brazilian communication is shaped by culture.
The eight dimensions of communication as pointed out by James Neuliep are present in this culture.
According to Neuliep, the eight dimensions of communication are process, dynamic, interactive
transactive, symbolic, intentional, contextual, ubiquitous, and cultural (Neuliep, 2015, p. 11). The
unique cultural characteristics, contexts, values and codes in the Brazilian culture will be further
discussed in detail in this analysis. Cultural Dimensions of Brazil Cultural variability can be broken

Children are often expected to remain living with their parents until marriage, after which they do not
move far away. Remaining close to family members is very important to Brazilians. According to
Margolis, maintaining regular contact with relatives and friends back home through visits and phone
calls has a high priority among Brazilians, (Margolis, 2004, p. 34). Much like in the United States,
frequent family gatherings are expected. In addition, Brazil also scores above average in regards to its
power distance and uncertainty avoidance. According to Hofstede et al., the common Brazilian
societal culture is clearly hierarchical and structured, (Hofstede, Garibaldi de Hilal, Malvezzi, Tanure,
Vinken, 2010, p. 347). In terms of this cultural dimension Brazil fails to identify itself in favor of one
over the other. As a whole, Brazil shows elements of both collectivism and individualism. With this, it
is worth noting that the regions and microcultures within Brazil vary greatly between each other,
which causes the entire nation to be considered very middle of the road. The southern and
southeastern regions of Brazil shows characteristics of individualism while the regions of the north
and northeast lean towards collectivism. One can attribute this to the south being more urban while the
north being more rural

Kate Turabian s citation style (see her book, A Manual for Writers) is made up of in text numbers
which correspond to a number at the bottom of the page (footnotes). The required bibliographic
information about the work you are quoting and/or taking ideas from is written next to the footnote
number at the bottom of the page. Then, at the very end of the paper, the bibliography page
summarizes all of the bibliographic information used throughout the entire paper. Turabian is the
standard citation style for religion and history courses at most American colleges, including LUO.
LUO has provided a very helpful Turabian guide, including the proper way to record various types of

How Does Malvolio Present Olivia Throughout The Play
In the play Twelfth Night , Malvolio is a steward for Lady Olivia. He s very in love with her and only
she has to deal with it. On the other hand, Olivia is plainly not in love with him; she is in love with
Cesario. He tries everything to try and win her love but he also has a negative attitude towards others.
Malvolio s behavior is unacceptable and other people shouldn t have to deal with it. Other characters
in the play strongly dislike Malvolio. When Olivia isn t around he thinks and acts like he s the king
and that Olivia is his lady. Malvolio had stated, My lady bade me tell you, that... she s nothing allied
to your disorder about Sir Toby (W.S 23). Even when he comes into the scene with other characters,
he decides to say, Besides, she uses me with a more exalted respect than any one else that follows her
(W.S 30).With that he s saying that Olivia treats him like a king and puts him over top of everyone.
The only reason why Olivia had to deal with him is because he is her steward. A reason why I think
she only puts up with Malvolio is that he will do anything the she commands. For when Cesario was
outside she had said to Malvolio Go you, Malvolio: if it be a suit from the count, iam sick, or not at
home; what you ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Sorrow And Grief In Romeo And Juliet
Romeo and Juliet, one of many Shakespeare tragedy plays, reveals that Shakespeare thinks love brings
sorrow and grief. The play tells a story about two star crossed lovers named Romeo and Juliet, who
live in two different households that hate each other. Many problems arise with Romeo and Juliet
loving each other, but being enemies in nature. The story is told by many characters, including Romeo
and Juliet. Through this, Shakespeare uses dramatic irony, repetition of epithets, and pathos to show
how love brings sorrow and grief. Dramatic irony is seen throughout the whole play many times, but
one time stands out when the main character Romeo slays Tybalt, kinsmen to the Capulets (Juliet s
Family), out of sheer anger. Consequently, Romeo was banished. Said in the play by Paris, he stated,
Immoderately she weeps for Tybalt s death, And therefore have I little talk of love (Rom.IV.i.6/7).
Paris thinks that Juliet weeps for Tybalt being slain, but instead is weeping for Romeo who was
banished from Verona. Following the banishment incident, Juliet remained in a coma like death that
she put herself into not marry Paris, but everyone thought of Juliet being dead, even Romeo. By her
tomb, Romeo spoke, Beauty s ensign yet is crimson in thy lips and in thy cheeks (Rom.V.iii.94/95).
The coma was to end and she was to wake any minute that Romeo went to Juliet, nevertheless Romeo
didn t know of the potion that put her in the coma. Full of grief, Romeo proceeded to kill himself even
though he noticed that Juliet looked well alive. Previously, when Romeo was banished and Juliet in
the coma, many examples of repetition of epithets happened during those scenes. Romeo and Juliet
has many characters expressing their sorrow with the repeated use of adjectives to describe their or
another s state. When Tybalt was killed, many wept for their kinsmen including the nurse of the
Capulet s. The nurse exclaims, We are undone, lady, we are undone. Alack the day, he s gone, he s
killed, he s dead (Rom.III.ii.43/44). The nurse repeatedly states about Tybalt being killed and is dead.
She is so stricken by grief that she doesn t say who was killed and Juliet gets confused about who got
killed, Tybalt, Romeo, or both. Soon after,

The efficacy of ACE I has been widely evaluated in clinical trials and observational studies. In 1983,

The Samurai warriors wielded a large variety of weapons but they became famous for their symbol,
the katana (samurai sword). From birth, the Samurai were to undergo brutal training to ensure their
success as warriors. They could be tested by running barefoot in the snow, enduring a freezing cold
waterfall, or fasting for days on end. However, many of these early Japanese made weapons were not
practical; they were used for religious ceremonies and rituals, indicating a relatively peaceful island
nation during its early years. Japan s most famous weapon needs little introduction.. Strong enough to
be used defensively but sharp enough to cut through limbs, the katana earned the reputation as the soul

Personal Strengths And Personal Types
You have people all around the world and none of them are the same. You have people with high
tempers, you got the lazy people that don t ever do anything, and the over achievers and everyone is
about in the middle of those three. I have taken a personality test and learned that I have an Executive
personality type, if you do not know what that means I am like the boss in a business. This trait is held
by less than 11% of the population. I am stubborn, organized, and judgmental.
My personality showed that one of my weaknesses is stubbornness, for example they are reluctant to
trust other opinions . Sometimes being stubborn can be helpful and other times it can be hurtful, for
example if you want to go over to your friends house but your mom says no sometimes if you keep
trying she might say yes. Or like the other times she gets annoyed and tells you to go away. There are
three things that being stubborn makes harder for me: trying to be flexible, getting along with my
parents, and shopping. Trying to be flexible is hard because if my mom makes something for dinner
that I don t really like or that I just am not feeling, I will eat cereal or somethings else. Another reason
is trying to get along with my parents, because I always think that I am right and they are wrong. For
example if I want to go over to a friends house and they say no I give them reasons why I should go.
Then last shopping is especially hard because one I am stubborn so I don t settle. Being stubborn

How Did Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi Change The Impact Of...
Making his debut on the political scene primarily around 1919, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi
changed the course of India s movement towards independence permanently for the next century. The
former British lawyer discovered his niche in government and leadership in South Africa, which he
then took back to his homeland of South Asia. By pursuing his moral based political ideology through
the use of predominantly non violent non cooperation practices, Gandhi struck made impacts, both
positive and negative, throughout the hearts of Indian natives across the nation. Supportive or crtical
of Gandhi s beliefs and political methhods for achieving independence from Britain, the statement that
Gandhi forever influenced political activism is irrefutable. While Gandhi s set of beliefs consisted of
many sub branches and complex economic plots, his sole center of political ideology revolves around
morality. He expressed this in an exerpt from Young India in 1920, stating, I reject any religious
doctrine that does not appeal to reason and is in conflict with morality (Modern South Asia 112).
Gandhi s ultimate goal was for the nation to reach such a state of enlightenmnet that no form of
representatives would be necessary. This utopian universe created in Gandhi s mind was referred to as
Ram Rajya. Part of the motive behind this concept was due to Gandhi s anti colonial sentiment, as he

Dolores Huerta
Latina Leader
For thousands of years immigration to the United States has been considered one of the biggest
problems and has been one of the topics most talked about, especially in this year, being one of the
favorite topics to talk about in the presidential debates. Yet, due to speeches given by President Donald
Trump little is known and talked about the problems immigrants, especially Latinos face day by day,
socially and economically. By being a minority in the United States it has been very difficult for
immigrant farm workers to get where they are now and have more opportunities than before the
1970s. Fortunately, there have been organizations and leaders that have helped immigrants through the
years, one of these being Dolores Huerta. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Socially Huerta fought against discrimination and racism against Latinos, but she did not only help the
Latino community, but she also helped fight for women s rights. Although there hasn t been a
complete elimination discrimination against minorities and women in the whole country there has
been a big improvement. It was while she was working in New York, where she met feminist Gloria
Steinem, who inspired her to start a feminist movement (Dolores Huerta). Another big social change is
that Latinos became more involved in politics each year. Especially in this year s elections Latinos
have proved to have a big influence in state politics as their power have boosted the concentration on
the Democratic side as 22 out of 24 are democratic (Los Angeles Times). Now in days Dolores Huerta
has continued to influence politicians and organizations to continue helping the Latino/immigrant
community. One of these being the U visa program which has helped to encourage more than 2000
immigrants that have suffered from domestic violence to report these crimes without having to fear
that they will be deported (Kaitlyn Schallhorn). Politicians such as Jerry Brown in California have
also helped the Latino community by providing $ 176.6 million to fix and clean houses (California
Latino Legislative).
Dolores Huerta has not taken for granted as shown by today and the previous year, her legacy

Endangered Species Of Marine Ecosystems
be put in place. These practices are to be put in place to ensure control of overfishing (Eilperon, 2006).
Another practice is the introduction of fishing quotas (Costello et al. 2008). These are put in place to
ensure a limit in fishing and that the catch of the day is distributed according to the shares each person
holds in a fishery. This policy will enable controlled fishing (Solliman, 2014). Endangered species of
marine ecosystems can also be restored in an artificial way. This is a practice that ensures all species
will coexist in many years to come. Through this practice different species are introduced in a new
habitat. Here they are mingled with native species. This enables a specific ecosystem to have variety
of different species. It is this practice that ensures predators do not run out of food. Another policy that
should be put in place is the reiteration of fisheries law. This law has been neglected over the years
and is rarely taught in law schools. It is the duty of a new international marine convention to make the
public aware of the new laws in place to protect marine conservations. It could also introduce new
laws to deal with upcoming problems such as overfishing due to population increase. Education is a
key practice that has been overlooked. Many times tourists and locals get to have fun in the oceans
with absolutely zero knowledge on what damage they could cause sea life. Education on marine
conservation needs to start with anyone and most

Supernatural Elements Of Macbeth By William Shakespeare Essay
Whether or not someone accepts the supernatural does not mean it does not exist for another. The
power of the supernatural is something that has been around since civilization began because people
recognized there was something beyond their control. In Shakespeare s Macbeth, Macbeth is
confronted with supernatural firsthand, however, they were viewed as forces of evil. Although the
witches, the ghosts, the prophecies, and all the other supernatural elements in the play are dramatized
and feared, they represent how society has come to transition away from viewing these supernatural
manifestations negatively. In Shakespeare s era, the pure belief in the supernatural was much more
widely expressed but not accepted. Macbeth shows that Shakespeare wrote not only for entertaining
audiences but also for playing on the widespread fear of the supernatural. I think that this play being
so heavily doused in supernatural elements suggests that he wanted to use these beliefs, whether or not
he personally believed in them. I think that while he is playing with these ideas, they hold at least
some truth for us now because of the way we interpret what Shakespeare was interpreting. For
Macbeth, the witches and the role of their prophecy was hugely instrumental because of the stakes for
him. When we transport ourselves into Macbeth s shoes, maybe not his time, we can see how anybody
would be less likely to take the prophecy with a grain of salt. Maybe we would not exactly go to the
lengths

Biier s Block Case Study
Bier`s block is simple to administer, reliable, cost effective and is ideal for short operative procedures
on the upper limb and avoids the hazards of general anesthesia in patients with severe systemic
diseases [6].
Adverse effects of Bier s block are about LA toxicity, slow onset, poor muscle relaxation, tourniquet
pain and minimal postoperative pain relief. The ideal drug for Bier`s block should have: rapid onset,
reduced dose of LA, reduced tourniquet pain and prolonged postoperative analgesia. No currently
available local anesthetic fulfills these qualities and hence we need adjuvant to LA [3].
As mentioned above IVRA occasionally does not provide effective anesthesia and postoperative
analgesia. To reduce anesthetic dose, improve ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Two drugs belonging to the α2 adrenergic receptor agonist namely Clonidine and Dexmedetomidine
have been the focus of adjuvant in IVRA and recent clinical studies [12].
Gentili et al (1999) and Lurie et al (2000) both reported that addition of clonidine to IVRA increases
tourniquet tolerance significantly [13] [14].
Dexmedetomidine is a potent α2 adrenoceptor agonist with eight time s higher affinity for the
receptors than clonidine. Dexmedetomidine produces sedation, anxiolysis and analgesia.
Dexmedetomidine compared to Clonidine is a more selective α2 adrenoceptor agonist, which might
permit its application in relatively high doses for sedation and analgesia without the unwanted
vascular effects from activation of α1 receptors. In addition, dexmedetomidine is shorter acting drug
than clonidine and has a reversal drug for its sedative effect. These properties make dexmedetomidine
suitable for sedation and analgesia during the perioperative period: as premedication, as an anesthetic
adjunct for general and regional anesthesia, and as postoperative sedative and analgesic [7].
Memis and colleagues (2004) investigated the effects of adding dexmedetomidine (0.5µg/kg) to 40 ml
0.5% lignocaine during Bier`s block.

Inventing A Christian America Summary
In reading Inventing a Christian America , it really opens up to a whole new way of looking at the
early 18th and 19th century America. Green makes many key points about religion in America during
that time and the Founding Fathers. He simply wants us to understand the myth of this country.
Throughout the book it becomes one question of; did the Founding Fathers establish the United States
as a Christian Nation? It was truly meant to be a Christian America but the way of Enlightenment was
slowly approaching. Steven Green argues that the origin myth of a Christian founding did not begin
with the founding generation, but decades later and that today s Christian nationalists promote an
erroneous reading of our past that distorts even that 19th century version of our beginnings. The
fathers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The book goes into the original English settlers who were mostly Protestant and some came to escape
limitations placed on their own freedom of religious. Rather than prolong that prospect to others they
enthusiastically prohibited from practicing freely all Catholics, Jews, Quakers, and many Protestants
who dissented from the main Church of England in the south and puritans in New England. Although
many did not come to America for religious reasons at all, but for economic opportunities. The
founders such as Jefferson saw the dangers of this legacy of religious intolerance and therefore formed
a nation that rejected a Christian establishment. They moved beyond mere tolerance of multiple
religions in favor of religious liberty and asserted freedom of conscience to be a natural right. To build
such a society, they invented early colonial societies dedicated to religious liberty. The fathers looked
to secular political compact theory for their inspiration, the same theory in fact that inspired the
puritans to develop their religiously infused covenant. Those looking for a purely American origin
myth invented a path from the mayflower compact to the U.S.

Quote Approval In Interviews
The practice of quote approval in interviews with politicians and their campaign officials is becoming
more common as the constant need for information allows sources to dictate the terms of interviews.
Case study 2 A presented by Patterson Wilkins (2014, p. 37) is concerned with the ethical implications
of allowing government officials use quote approval in their interviews and how quote approval
affects the reliability of information. Quote approval is a practice that is relatively harmless when
omitting parts of quote doesn t change its meaning, but quote approval also sets a dangerous precedent
that could lead to more governmental control over public information and the press.
Micro Issues First, journalists need to provide citizens ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The freedom of expression is granted unconditionally on the grounds that it is used to do moral good,
and placing the needs of a few politicians over the general public is not morally good (Patterson
Wilkins, 2014, p. 38). Bending the truth to benefit the campaign or image of a public figure is
deceiving the public regardless of the information being withheld. Citizen journalism heavily
influence quote approval since many politicians have misspoke when speaking off the cuff with
citizens and damaged their public image. Quote approval is used to assure that these situations do not
occur and hurt polling numbers, but quote approval could be considered to be breaking the ethical
news values of accuracy and community (Patterson Wilkins, 2014, pp. 35 36).
Conclusion
In conclusion, quote approval can blur the lines between ethical and unethical journalism depending
on the degree of alteration to a quote. Altering quotes can be ethical if it only makes the quote more
concise and easy to understand, but there is a fine line between altering for readability and altering the
meaning. Quote approval is a slippery slope that could lead to public figures and government officials
controlling the flow of information, and the implications of a news media controlled by the
government are extremely

Similarities Between The Age Of Iron By Hesiod
The first generation, also known as the race of gold, was the best because they were more pure and
kind, always respectful to their own race and the gods. They lived in peace and they treated everybody
equally and justly all the time. They were also stronger than any other race since they were the only
ones who didn t live with grief, fear, or hard labor. They did not have to work, or to find a place where
to live or what to eat because the gods favored them with everything they needed from nature itself.
Most important, they were not greedy or selfish, which is the major problem with all the upcoming
races after them, including our own. They were just perfect.
According to Hesiod, the fifth generation of mortals, also known as the race of Iron, is our own race. I
find many similarities between The Age of Iron to our own time. Some of them is that people on both
generations commit crimes, treason, frauds, and violence with no shame at all. Similar to them we live
in a selfish generation full of greedy people. We also put a price in our own planet and its natural
resources. We have exploited our own land in the search of petroleum, gold, ... Show more content on

other natural resources should remain untouched by the human hands. We need to find a way to
protect our environment since this our planet, our only home. We also need to change our characters.
Good people still exists in the world nowadays, but the problem is that we care too much about

The Incarceration Of The Correctional Institution
The correctional institutions are established for correction of behaviors by law offenders. The society
expects that once an individual comes out of the correctional facility, he is a reformed person. In
addition, these facilities are always expected to warn the law abiding citizens to deter them from
committing a crime for fear of being in the correctional cells. However, the population in the
correction facilities especially prisons is contrary to this expectation. Over time, there is increased
number of offenders. This comprises of the new offenders and the repeat offenders. This causes
overcrowding in the correctional facilities which is a challenge to the society. The focus of this
problem is the social effect of overcrowding to the judicial system and ways of addressing the
challenge. Overcrowding in correctional institutions Crime is punishable for three reasons namely
retribution, prevention and deterrence. The main purpose of incarcerating offenders is to stop them
from repeating previous crimes they committed. Appraising the current American system using these
standards, the deterrence category has failed miserably, insufficient in prevention and providing
unsatisfactory retribution through detention. Attempts to deter released criminals who are convicted
are dismissed by the recidivism s high rate (Tish Burbank, 2009). This is evident through the rising
population of new offenders undeterred from crime. Many gangs and offenders recruit and carry out

People with high internal locus of control believe that events result mainly from themselves and not
based on luck or fate (Schaper, et al., 2014). Therefore, for me to success in running the business, I
must believe that I can control the events in my life and not give up halfway.
Thirdly, effective entrepreneurs have a strong desire to know how well they are doing and how can
they improve their performance. According to Kuratko (2009), feedback is also central to their
learning from mistakes and setbacks. Therefore, in running my business, I have to actively seek
feedback from customers and learn from these mistakes.
Fourthly, successful entrepreneurs are those who learn to manage, calculate and transfer some risks to
others (Schaper, et al., 2014). Therefore, I need to learn how to manage risks and view some of this
risk as an opportunity in running the business.
Lastly, Shapero and Sokol (1982) stated that family plays the most important role in forming the
desirability and trustworthiness of the entrepreneurial action. Therefore, with the support from my

they were. Effective does not necessarily mean that the government was strong. It does mean that the
government was able to provide the people with the kind of government they wanted and needed.

They were not immediately ratified because there were land disputes and there had to be a unanimous
decision. Everybody hat wanted and claimed more land than they had. New Jersey, Maryland and
Delaware all had no claims. These states were the ones who initially refused to ratify the Articles; they
were not prepared to ratify a constitution which gave them no say in any matters. The larger states on
the other hand felt that they were underrepresented. They were hoping for more equality in size
(document E). Eventually, Maryland changed their minds about ratifying the constitution because they
ceded the land. Since the government could not tax, they were in major financial trouble. They began
to print continentals which were not backed by any commodities so they were worthless. The rest of
the world meanwhile was waiting to see how Britain would react; so they were afraid to get too
friendly with the colonists. The colonists though, knew that it was time to build up trade and trust with
other countries. Eventually, their financial plans fell through, so France and the Netherlands made
loans and were able to help keep the United States afloat. The Articles of Confederation confirmed the
weak decentralized system which was already in operation. The Articles did not make it clear that the
Congress was to be a real government. It was therefore, an uncertain central government. Many

The analysis of risk assessment controls are an important aspect of a system, as they are used as a
basis for identifying and selecting appropriate and cost effective measures.
1.1.1 RA 1: Risk Assessment Policy and Procedures
Implementation Status: In place.
Implementation of Control: The Department of Health and Human Services has implemented risk
assessment policies and procedures such as HIPAA, through its regulatory compliance of OMB
Circular A 130, and NIST SP 800 37 Rev.1 standards. They have done so, by establishing,
dissementing, and periodically reviewing/updating formal documented risk assessment policy and
procedures that address the purpose, scope, roles, responsibilities, and compliance of the organization.
Furthermore, the HHS has also followed this control through the development and implementation of
policies, the organizational commitment to information security and the actions required to effectively
manage risk and protect the core missions and business functions being carried out by the organization
(DHHS, 2011).
1.1.2 RA 5: Vulnerability Scanning

Evaluation Of Why Tough Teachers Get Good Results
Evaluation of Why Tough Teachers Get Good Results by Joanne Lipman is a well supported article.
Mrs. Lipman gives good insight to tough teachers getting good results from their students by using her
experience with her music teacher Mr. Kupchynsky. She provides many references to case studies
performed on students in classrooms by doctors and graduate students to support her point. Mrs.
Lipman explains that her Mr. Kupchynsky was a strict teacher, but because of his strictness when he
passed away all of his past students that came to pay their respects were all successful people in life
some were doctors and lawyers. Mrs. Lipman then continues to use her personal story to explain some
of the conceptions of present day educators and how they are false. She uses eleven ways to prove that
today s educational system as become soft on present day children. The fear, of course, is that failure
will traumatize our kids, sapping their self esteem. Wrong again. A 2006 study, a Bowling Green State
University graduate student followed 31 Ohio band students who were required to audition for
placement and found that even students who placed lowest did not decrease in their motivation and
self esteem in the long term. The study concluded that educators need not be as concerned about the
negative effects of picking winners and losers (Lipman). I really enjoyed reading this article, it really
did open my eyes to how the world of education has changed but the old ways of teaching

Essay On 4th Amendment
The 4th Amendment to the United States Constitution was introduced to Congress in 1789 by James
Madison, however it was not adopted until 1791, and is an extremely important amendment contained
in the Bill of Rights. In the past forty years, the U.S. Supreme Court has increasingly advanced the
notion that the Fourth Amendment encompasses the common law restrictions on searches and
seizures, (Mannheimer, M. Z., 2015, p.1, para.1). The Fourth Amendment requires governmental
searches to be conducted only when a search warrant is issued, sanctioned by probable cause and
supported by oath of affirmation, however, there are exceptions to this rule that are stated in the
Exclusionary Rule, which was established in 1914. The Exclusionary Rule states that there are certain

The Role Of Social Stratification In The 17th Century
The economic affairs of the 16th to 17th century England a period where England experienced
extreme population growth encouraged the migration of more than half of the English population west
across the Atlantic . In addition to its population s growth, England was amid a civil war and a
revolution during 1642 1660, that consequently propagated waves of political and economic refugees,
finding their way to the Caribbean, to escape from the nation s civil conflicts . Taking note of the ways
in which dominant European powers Portugal and Spain conducted forms of active exploration and
exploitation of the New World. Distinctly, for the reasons of, accumulation of land, wealth, and
political power through means of exploiting its colonies resources. Virtually, England sought to mimic
the Spanish economic success in their own Caribbean exploits. In contrast to the ways in which the
Spanish pursued their own economic goals. The English economic success, relied on private
companies to carry out commercial and colonial efforts . To emphasize, this meant that private men
and companies secured the right from the crown to claim and settle islands in the Caribbean. Notably,
these private men and companies advantageous socio economic status, consequently began to

Aggregate Demand Model
Question (3)
a) What is Aggregate Demand? (83%)
Aggregate demand is the total amount that all consumers, businesses, government agencies, and
foreigners spend on final goods and services.
Aggregate demand is represented by the aggregate demand curve, and it describes the relationship
between price levels and the quantity of output that firms are willing to provide. Aggregate demand is
not a fixed number because it depends on the price level.
The relationship between aggregate demand and the price level normally is a negative relationship,
which creates a downward sloping aggregate demand curve.
Aggregate demand is an aggregation of the microeconomic demand.
b) Develop a model showing the importance and effects of Aggregate Demand on the overall
economy. (83%)
The model is aggregate supply/ aggregate demand model (AS/AD Model). The AD/AS model is used
to illustrate the Keynesian model of the business cycle. Movements of the two curves can be used to
predict the effects that various exogenous events will have on two variables: real GDP and the price
level.
This model shows the importance of the importance and effect of the aggregate demand on the overall
economy. The government through its fiscal policy and the federal bank through its monetary policy
try to influence aggregate demand to influence the overall economy. For example, an increase in the
nominal money stock, as a result of monetary expansion policy, leads to a higher real money stock at

My first viewing of the 1967 Shakespearean film left me quite confused for its representation of
abusive behaviour and misogynistic characteristics and attitudes towards women. It s hard to believe
how much of a male dominant society it was around the time of the Elizabethan Era and to how far we
have come as a society today. The Taming of the Shrew is clearly a story about a bickering couple
who did not want to be married but they ended up marrying because of how high male dominance
was. The characteristics attributes of Katarina have subjected her to some more than brutal treatment
as she refuses to be silent in her opinion, obedience and a being a well mannered wife that her
husband demands. I believe that the reason Katharina puts up a ... Show more content on

It is a modern day teenage directed, version of The Taming of the Shrew and it heavily follows the
plot of the Shakespeare s original. Both films are based on the idea of love, relationship and marriage.
The Taming of the Shrew focuses more on the idea of marriage as it was created for a more mature
audience, whereas because 10 Things I Hate About You is aimed at teenagers and it focuses on the
idea of relationship as it is a common thing for most teengers to be involved in.
10 Things I Hate About You is set in an 1990 s American High School called Padua Stadium High
School. It mainly focuses on a character named Kat Stratford, who displays characteristics of
independance as she doesn t live up to society s expectations. However, Kats sister Bianca is more of a
popular kid. Making sure she has the coolest clothes, the coolest friends and most importantly, the
coolest boyfriend. Throughout the movie it is made clear that it is a widely known fact that the
stratford sisters don t date . A rule was laid down by Mr Stratford at the beginning of the movie and
that rule was that Bianca only can date if her independent, feministic sister Kat dates. As Bianca
desperately wants to date, she tries her hardest to find someone that will take Kat out. It is clear from
the first scene of the movie where Kat is driving to school in a beaten up car with loud punk rock
music that Kat does not care about her reputation. I believe that although some of the key points were
predictable 10 Things I Hate About You is a surprisingly entertaining

The Berlin Wall seemed to symbolise what the Cold War meant to so many, a clash between good and

who was to visit the wall. In 1949, Germany was split up into two operate groups. The German
Federal Republic, known as West Germany, and the German Democratic Republic, better known as

Developing an Analytical Approach to Industrial Relations...
Using theoretical frameworks outlined in the lecture given in week 3, explain to Ms CCCCC the
different ways in which the employment relationship can be conceptualised Dear Ms CCCCC, firstly
we want to define what industrial relations is. An industrial relations is a policy that approaches the
employees, and acts as a reference for the management, where the actions that underlies the industrial
relations is set by a formal authority in the organisation (Brewster, Gill, Richbell, 1981). The
legislation of industrial relations, Fair Work Act 2009 is important, as it has a goal to create fairness
with obligations and rights between an employer and employee. Any changes or development in the
legislation will have obvious impact on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Each has their own objectives and leaders, with their own legal loyalties. There are two important and
major groups within pluralism, trade union and the management. The trade union are handling in the
best interest of the employees, and is therefore fundamental. Thereby, we have Radical or Marxist,
where the industrial relations are looked at as a society of capitalism. The management has their own
interest compared to the employees, and therefore conflict between an employer and employee is
inevitable. They are also against HRM, as they look at it as manipulative of the workers. Trade unions
is a reaction and exploitation to the management, and working towards a radical change in the society.
Therefore Ms CCCC it is important to accept and respect that the employment relationship is
interdependent, a psychological contract Rousseau (1990), which means that the contract is mutual,
and there has to be cooperation on both of the sides. I would say, to acctually conceptualise the
employment relationship, I would recommend to take actions and decisions that can create trust
between your relationship. There will be positive impact when there are higher level of trust in an
organisation, and increases loyalty. I would also say that employer branding and segmentation is
important, where it can make the work for the employer more personalised, and the effort to
understand, negotiate and acctually do the work more efficiently increases.

Feminism In Don Quixote
A novel is long narrative written by a novelist that describes fictional characters and events, usually in
the form of a sequential story. The later, an Italian word used to describe short stories, supplied the
present generic English term in the 18th century. The first significant European novelist is Miguel de
Cervantes, author of Don Quixote, the first part of which, the first part of which was published in
1605. The term novel refers back to the production of short stories that remained part of a European
oral culture of storytelling in to the 19th century. Fairy tales, jokes, little funny stories designed to
make a point in a conversation, the exemplum a priest would insert in a sermon belong in to this
tradition.
The novel is distinguished from the long narratives in verse of Geoffrey Chaucer, Edmund Spenser,
and John Milton which, beginning with eighteenth century, the novel has increasingly supplanted.
Within these limits the novel includes such diverse works as Samuel Richardson s Pamela and

Operation Twist, a plan to buy long term U.S. debt and sell short term debt, which will result in a
flattening of the yield curve and a drop in long term debt yields, is a part of the expected future
according to the Fed. This means that the historical lows in interest rates that we are seeing will
continue in the short run. In the long run however, there looks to be a divergence from that short run
trend. Consumers and businesses in the long run will get away from the de leveraging process that we
are seeing in the recent past and currently and begin to build up cash that will circulate more
unreservedly. This will cause the Fed to set interest rates at higher levels in order to combat against the
rise in inflation in the post deleveraging period. Housing Post housing/financial crisis of 2007 2009,
the housing market seems to be showing signs of improvement after great downturn. With the
downturn in housing prices, many homeowners did not have enough equity to avoid taking a loss on
the sale of their homes so they are sitting with home loans based off of higher than current mortgages.
However, in November the National Association of Home Builders sentiment index jumped to 20,
which is the highest reading in over a year. Demand for mortgages has also seemed to pick up a bit
according to the Fed s 4th quarter loan survey. Construction remains at historically low levels but has
increased as of late, and the number of

Film Review Essay On Don T Get Out By Allan Peele
Don t Get Out
An exhilaratingly smart and scary freak out about a black man in a white nightmare.
Manohla Dargis
The NY Times
I was totally blown out by the movie Get Out. This movie is surprisingly subtle and effective horror
film for our time, which is written and directed by Jordan Peele. Being fan of Jordan Peele comedy
sketches from Key and Peele, I went to the movie knowing his comedic and satirical chops, and his
directorial debut definitely doesn t disappoint. This movie will be talked for quite a time.
Black photographer Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) and his white girlfriend Rose (Allison Williams) visit
Rose s parents for the weekend, where they will meet Chris for the very first time. He is initially
hesitant when he finds out that Rose hasn t told her family that he is black, but she is quick to assure
him that they are not racist, emphasizing that her parents would have voted for Obama for third term if
they could. Shocked by his girlfriend s parent s behavior, he starts to think there is something odd at
their house. The trip starts out innocent enough but it devolves quickly into something brooding and
terrifying.
The movie runs smoothly and without anything suspicious until the scene where Chris and Rose are
on their way to her parent s house when they get interrupted when they hit a deer crossing the road
and where ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While it does have some social implications that is up to each viewer to sort out, according to film
director Peele, the film isn t meant to alienate white viewers so much as let them see this experience
that we ve (black people) been living through. Although the film might be criticized for picking white
group as bad and black people are always the victim, Peele says that he wanted the movie to reflect
the racism that exists in all of

  • 6. Art Nouveau By Edward Burne Jones From The Pre-... Art nouveau is a elegant decorative art style characterized by ornate patterns of curvilinear lines. This period of art somewhat rooted from the a mixture of the Arts and Crafts movement, William Morris, Edward Burne Jones from the Pre Raphaelites and the Japanese style. It became popular across Europe and the in United States. Art Nouveau as a style is a beautiful mixture of elaborate Celtic looking patterns, classical elements, flat color and delicate women in nature. This style breaks the traditional forms from the previous time periods but at the same time, carries it through. These designers in this time, presented this work as organic forms with rich imagery. Such as Alphonse Mucha; which he today, is considered the father of this time period, and master of this style. This era correlates with the brotherhood of the Pre Raphaelites, and with inspirations from the early Renaissance painters. A melting pot of these famous time periods produced the Art nouveau movement. The Art nouveau movement started in Europe around 1890 s and lasted until 1910. It took on many different characteristics and tried to express the modern world through it s illustrations. There were many influences and themes across the works and style of Art nouveau. Conclusion Main focus of IASB for introducing new standard for business combinations was that financial statements of companies became more realistic and to represent real economic position and value of a company. Therefore restriction to acquisition method as the only option for business combination is the advantage of new standard since using this method, companies do not have a choice whether to recognize goodwill arising from business combinations. Amortization was changed with impairment because amortization of goodwill can lead to arbitrary accounting according to IASB (Shinhan Financial Group n.d., p. 4). Problem arising is that impairment test and determination of recoverable amount require an active market with homogenies assets and available prices which is hard to determine as far as intangibles are concerned. Consequently, this leads to more subjective decisions regarding measurement and leaves a lot of space for management impact on goodwill. Therefore aim of IASB for transparency and full fair value model is not realized. Although IASB and FASB are making a lot of efforts, universally accepted treatment of goodwill still does not exist. Therefore this will remain controversial topic among economists until creators of financial standards find better solution for goodwill accounting. Reference ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Children are often expected to remain living with their parents until marriage, after which they do not move far away. Remaining close to family members is very important to Brazilians. According to Margolis, maintaining regular contact with relatives and friends back home through visits and phone calls has a high priority among Brazilians, (Margolis, 2004, p. 34). Much like in the United States, frequent family gatherings are expected. In addition, Brazil also scores above average in regards to its power distance and uncertainty avoidance. According to Hofstede et al., the common Brazilian societal culture is clearly hierarchical and structured, (Hofstede, Garibaldi de Hilal, Malvezzi, Tanure, Vinken, 2010, p. 347). In terms of this cultural dimension Brazil fails to identify itself in favor of one over the other. As a whole, Brazil shows elements of both collectivism and individualism. With this, it is worth noting that the regions and microcultures within Brazil vary greatly between each other, which causes the entire nation to be considered very middle of the road. The southern and southeastern regions of Brazil shows characteristics of individualism while the regions of the north and northeast lean towards collectivism. One can attribute this to the south being more urban while the north being more rural ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 11. Sorrow And Grief In Romeo And Juliet Romeo and Juliet, one of many Shakespeare tragedy plays, reveals that Shakespeare thinks love brings sorrow and grief. The play tells a story about two star crossed lovers named Romeo and Juliet, who live in two different households that hate each other. Many problems arise with Romeo and Juliet loving each other, but being enemies in nature. The story is told by many characters, including Romeo and Juliet. Through this, Shakespeare uses dramatic irony, repetition of epithets, and pathos to show how love brings sorrow and grief. Dramatic irony is seen throughout the whole play many times, but one time stands out when the main character Romeo slays Tybalt, kinsmen to the Capulets (Juliet s Family), out of sheer anger. Consequently, Romeo was banished. Said in the play by Paris, he stated, Immoderately she weeps for Tybalt s death, And therefore have I little talk of love (Rom.IV.i.6/7). Paris thinks that Juliet weeps for Tybalt being slain, but instead is weeping for Romeo who was banished from Verona. Following the banishment incident, Juliet remained in a coma like death that she put herself into not marry Paris, but everyone thought of Juliet being dead, even Romeo. By her tomb, Romeo spoke, Beauty s ensign yet is crimson in thy lips and in thy cheeks (Rom.V.iii.94/95). The coma was to end and she was to wake any minute that Romeo went to Juliet, nevertheless Romeo didn t know of the potion that put her in the coma. Full of grief, Romeo proceeded to kill himself even though he noticed that Juliet looked well alive. Previously, when Romeo was banished and Juliet in the coma, many examples of repetition of epithets happened during those scenes. Romeo and Juliet has many characters expressing their sorrow with the repeated use of adjectives to describe their or another s state. When Tybalt was killed, many wept for their kinsmen including the nurse of the Capulet s. The nurse exclaims, We are undone, lady, we are undone. Alack the day, he s gone, he s killed, he s dead (Rom.III.ii.43/44). The nurse repeatedly states about Tybalt being killed and is dead. She is so stricken by grief that she doesn t say who was killed and Juliet gets confused about who got killed, Tybalt, Romeo, or both. Soon after, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

You have people with high tempers, you got the lazy people that don t ever do anything, and the over achievers and everyone is about in the middle of those three. I have taken a personality test and learned that I have an Executive personality type, if you do not know what that means I am like the boss in a business. This trait is held by less than 11% of the population. I am stubborn, organized, and judgmental. My personality showed that one of my weaknesses is stubbornness, for example they are reluctant to trust other opinions . Sometimes being stubborn can be helpful and other times it can be hurtful, for example if you want to go over to your friends house but your mom says no sometimes if you keep trying she might say yes. Or like the other times she gets annoyed and tells you to go away. There are three things that being stubborn makes harder for me: trying to be flexible, getting along with my parents, and shopping. Trying to be flexible is hard because if my mom makes something for dinner that I don t really like or that I just am not feeling, I will eat cereal or somethings else. Another reason is trying to get along with my parents, because I always think that I am right and they are wrong. For example if I want to go over to a friends house and they say no I give them reasons why I should go. Then last shopping is especially hard because one I am stubborn so I don t settle. • 19. How Did Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi Change The Impact Of... Making his debut on the political scene primarily around 1919, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi changed the course of India s movement towards independence permanently for the next century. The former British lawyer discovered his niche in government and leadership in South Africa, which he then took back to his homeland of South Asia. By pursuing his moral based political ideology through the use of predominantly non violent non cooperation practices, Gandhi struck made impacts, both positive and negative, throughout the hearts of Indian natives across the nation. Supportive or crtical of Gandhi s beliefs and political methhods for achieving independence from Britain, the statement that Gandhi forever influenced political activism is irrefutable. While Gandhi s set of beliefs consisted of many sub branches and complex economic plots, his sole center of political ideology revolves around morality. He expressed this in an exerpt from Young India in 1920, stating, I reject any religious doctrine that does not appeal to reason and is in conflict with morality (Modern South Asia 112). Gandhi s ultimate goal was for the nation to reach such a state of enlightenmnet that no form of representatives would be necessary. This utopian universe created in Gandhi s mind was referred to as Ram Rajya. Part of the motive behind this concept was due to Gandhi s anti colonial sentiment, as he believed India has become impovershed by their Government when referring to the British (Hind Swaraj ... Dolores Huerta Latina Leader For thousands of years immigration to the United States has been considered one of the biggest problems and has been one of the topics most talked about, especially in this year, being one of the favorite topics to talk about in the presidential debates. Yet, due to speeches given by President Donald Trump little is known and talked about the problems immigrants, especially Latinos face day by day, socially and economically. By being a minority in the United States it has been very difficult for immigrant farm workers to get where they are now and have more opportunities than before the 1970s. Fortunately, there have been organizations and leaders that have helped immigrants through the years, one of these being Dolores Huerta. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Socially Huerta fought against discrimination and racism against Latinos, but she did not only help the Latino community, but she also helped fight for women s rights. Although there hasn t been a complete elimination discrimination against minorities and women in the whole country there has been a big improvement. It was while she was working in New York, where she met feminist Gloria Steinem, who inspired her to start a feminist movement (Dolores Huerta). Another big social change is that Latinos became more involved in politics each year. Especially in this year s elections Latinos have proved to have a big influence in state politics as their power have boosted the concentration on the Democratic side as 22 out of 24 are democratic (Los Angeles Times). Now in days Dolores Huerta has continued to influence politicians and organizations to continue helping the Latino/immigrant community. One of these being the U visa program which has helped to encourage more than 2000 immigrants that have suffered from domestic violence to report these crimes without having to fear that they will be deported (Kaitlyn Schallhorn). Politicians such as Jerry Brown in California have also helped the Latino community by providing $ 176.6 million to fix and clean houses (California Latino Legislative). Dolores Huerta has not taken for granted as shown by today and the previous year, her legacy continues as she herself countess helping the Latino community. Another practice is the introduction of fishing quotas (Costello et al. 2008). These are put in place to ensure a limit in fishing and that the catch of the day is distributed according to the shares each person holds in a fishery. This policy will enable controlled fishing (Solliman, 2014). Endangered species of marine ecosystems can also be restored in an artificial way. This is a practice that ensures all species will coexist in many years to come. Through this practice different species are introduced in a new habitat. Here they are mingled with native species. This enables a specific ecosystem to have variety of different species. It is this practice that ensures predators do not run out of food. Another policy that should be put in place is the reiteration of fisheries law. This law has been neglected over the years and is rarely taught in law schools. It is the duty of a new international marine convention to make the public aware of the new laws in place to protect marine conservations. It could also introduce new laws to deal with upcoming problems such as overfishing due to population increase. Education is a key practice that has been overlooked. • 22. Supernatural Elements Of Macbeth By William Shakespeare Essay Whether or not someone accepts the supernatural does not mean it does not exist for another. The power of the supernatural is something that has been around since civilization began because people recognized there was something beyond their control. In Shakespeare s Macbeth, Macbeth is confronted with supernatural firsthand, however, they were viewed as forces of evil. Although the witches, the ghosts, the prophecies, and all the other supernatural elements in the play are dramatized and feared, they represent how society has come to transition away from viewing these supernatural manifestations negatively. In Shakespeare s era, the pure belief in the supernatural was much more widely expressed but not accepted. Macbeth shows that Shakespeare wrote not only for entertaining audiences but also for playing on the widespread fear of the supernatural. I think that this play being so heavily doused in supernatural elements suggests that he wanted to use these beliefs, whether or not he personally believed in them. I think that while he is playing with these ideas, they hold at least some truth for us now because of the way we interpret what Shakespeare was interpreting. For Macbeth, the witches and the role of their prophecy was hugely instrumental because of the stakes for him. When we transport ourselves into Macbeth s shoes, maybe not his time, we can see how anybody would be less likely to take the prophecy with a grain of salt. Maybe we would not exactly go to the lengths ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The ideal drug for Bier`s block should have: rapid onset, reduced dose of LA, reduced tourniquet pain and prolonged postoperative analgesia. Two drugs belonging to the α2 adrenergic receptor agonist namely Clonidine and Dexmedetomidine have been the focus of adjuvant in IVRA and recent clinical studies [12]. Gentili et al (1999) and Lurie et al (2000) both reported that addition of clonidine to IVRA increases tourniquet tolerance significantly [13] [14]. Dexmedetomidine is a potent α2 adrenoceptor agonist with eight time s higher affinity for the receptors than clonidine. Dexmedetomidine produces sedation, anxiolysis and analgesia. Dexmedetomidine compared to Clonidine is a more selective α2 adrenoceptor agonist, which might permit its application in relatively high doses for sedation and analgesia without the unwanted vascular effects from activation of α1 receptors. In addition, dexmedetomidine is shorter acting drug than clonidine and has a reversal drug for its sedative effect. These properties make dexmedetomidine suitable for sedation and analgesia during the perioperative period: as premedication, as an anesthetic adjunct for general and regional anesthesia, and as postoperative sedative and analgesic [7]. Green makes many key points about religion in America during that time and the Founding Fathers. He simply wants us to understand the myth of this country. Throughout the book it becomes one question of; did the Founding Fathers establish the United States as a Christian Nation? It was truly meant to be a Christian America but the way of Enlightenment was slowly approaching. Steven Green argues that the origin myth of a Christian founding did not begin with the founding generation, but decades later and that today s Christian nationalists promote an erroneous reading of our past that distorts even that 19th century version of our beginnings. The founders such as Jefferson saw the dangers of this legacy of religious intolerance and therefore formed a nation that rejected a Christian establishment. To build such a society, they invented early colonial societies dedicated to religious liberty. The freedom of expression is granted unconditionally on the grounds that it is used to do moral good, and placing the needs of a few politicians over the general public is not morally good (Patterson Wilkins, 2014, p. 38). Bending the truth to benefit the campaign or image of a public figure is deceiving the public regardless of the information being withheld. Citizen journalism heavily influence quote approval since many politicians have misspoke when speaking off the cuff with citizens and damaged their public image. Quote approval is used to assure that these situations do not occur and hurt polling numbers, but quote approval could be considered to be breaking the ethical news values of accuracy and community (Patterson Wilkins, 2014, pp. 35 36). Conclusion In conclusion, quote approval can blur the lines between ethical and unethical journalism depending on the degree of alteration to a quote. Altering quotes can be ethical if it only makes the quote more concise and easy to understand, but there is a fine line between altering for readability and altering the meaning. Similarities Between The Age Of Iron By Hesiod The first generation, also known as the race of gold, was the best because they were more pure and kind, always respectful to their own race and the gods. They lived in peace and they treated everybody equally and justly all the time. They were also stronger than any other race since they were the only ones who didn t live with grief, fear, or hard labor. They did not have to work, or to find a place where to live or what to eat because the gods favored them with everything they needed from nature itself. Most important, they were not greedy or selfish, which is the major problem with all the upcoming races after them, including our own. They were just perfect. According to Hesiod, the fifth generation of mortals, also known as the race of Iron, is our own race. I find many similarities between The Age of Iron to our own time. Some of them is that people on both generations commit crimes, treason, frauds, and violence with no shame at all. Similar to them we live in a selfish generation full of greedy people. The society expects that once an individual comes out of the correctional facility, he is a reformed person. In addition, these facilities are always expected to warn the law abiding citizens to deter them from committing a crime for fear of being in the correctional cells. However, the population in the correction facilities especially prisons is contrary to this expectation. Over time, there is increased number of offenders. This comprises of the new offenders and the repeat offenders. This causes overcrowding in the correctional facilities which is a challenge to the society. The focus of this problem is the social effect of overcrowding to the judicial system and ways of addressing the challenge. Overcrowding in correctional institutions Crime is punishable for three reasons namely retribution, prevention and deterrence. The main purpose of incarcerating offenders is to stop them from repeating previous crimes they committed. Appraising the current American system using these standards, the deterrence category has failed miserably, insufficient in prevention and providing unsatisfactory retribution through detention. Virtually, England sought to mimic the Spanish economic success in their own Caribbean exploits. In contrast to the ways in which the Spanish pursued their own economic goals. The English economic success, relied on private companies to carry out commercial and colonial efforts . To emphasize, this meant that private men and companies secured the right from the crown to claim and settle islands in the Caribbean. • 41. Aggregate Demand Model Question (3) a) What is Aggregate Demand? (83%) Aggregate demand is the total amount that all consumers, businesses, government agencies, and foreigners spend on final goods and services. Aggregate demand is represented by the aggregate demand curve, and it describes the relationship between price levels and the quantity of output that firms are willing to provide. Aggregate demand is not a fixed number because it depends on the price level. The relationship between aggregate demand and the price level normally is a negative relationship, which creates a downward sloping aggregate demand curve. Aggregate demand is an aggregation of the microeconomic demand. b) Develop a model showing the importance and effects of Aggregate Demand on the overall economy. (83%) The model is aggregate supply/ aggregate demand model (AS/AD Model). The AD/AS model is used to illustrate the Keynesian model of the business cycle. Movements of the two curves can be used to predict the effects that various exogenous events will have on two variables: real GDP and the price level. This model shows the importance of the importance and effect of the aggregate demand on the overall economy. The government through its fiscal policy and the federal bank through its monetary policy try to influence aggregate demand to influence the overall economy. For example, an increase in the nominal money stock, as a result of monetary expansion policy, leads to a higher real money stock at each level of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. Taming Of The Shrew And 10 Things I Hate About You My first viewing of the 1967 Shakespearean film left me quite confused for its representation of abusive behaviour and misogynistic characteristics and attitudes towards women. It s hard to believe how much of a male dominant society it was around the time of the Elizabethan Era and to how far we have come as a society today. The Taming of the Shrew is clearly a story about a bickering couple who did not want to be married but they ended up marrying because of how high male dominance was. The characteristics attributes of Katarina have subjected her to some more than brutal treatment as she refuses to be silent in her opinion, obedience and a being a well mannered wife that her husband demands. It mainly focuses on a character named Kat Stratford, who displays characteristics of independance as she doesn t live up to society s expectations. However, Kats sister Bianca is more of a popular kid. Making sure she has the coolest clothes, the coolest friends and most importantly, the coolest boyfriend. Throughout the movie it is made clear that it is a widely known fact that the stratford sisters don t date . A rule was laid down by Mr Stratford at the beginning of the movie and that rule was that Bianca only can date if her independent, feministic sister Kat dates. As Bianca desperately wants to date, she tries her hardest to find someone that will take Kat out. It is clear from the first scene of the movie where Kat is driving to school in a beaten up car with loud punk rock music that Kat does not care about her reputation. • 45. Developing an Analytical Approach to Industrial Relations... Using theoretical frameworks outlined in the lecture given in week 3, explain to Ms CCCCC the different ways in which the employment relationship can be conceptualised Dear Ms CCCCC, firstly we want to define what industrial relations is. An industrial relations is a policy that approaches the employees, and acts as a reference for the management, where the actions that underlies the industrial relations is set by a formal authority in the organisation (Brewster, Gill, Richbell, 1981). The legislation of industrial relations, Fair Work Act 2009 is important, as it has a goal to create fairness with obligations and rights between an employer and employee. Any changes or development in the legislation will have obvious impact on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Each has their own objectives and leaders, with their own legal loyalties. There are two important and major groups within pluralism, trade union and the management. The trade union are handling in the best interest of the employees, and is therefore fundamental. Thereby, we have Radical or Marxist, where the industrial relations are looked at as a society of capitalism. The management has their own interest compared to the employees, and therefore conflict between an employer and employee is inevitable. They are also against HRM, as they look at it as manipulative of the workers. Trade unions is a reaction and exploitation to the management, and working towards a radical change in the society. Therefore Ms CCCC it is important to accept and respect that the employment relationship is interdependent, a psychological contract Rousseau (1990), which means that the contract is mutual, and there has to be cooperation on both of the sides. I would say, to acctually conceptualise the employment relationship, I would recommend to take actions and decisions that can create trust between your relationship. There will be positive impact when there are higher level of trust in an organisation, and increases loyalty. I would also say that employer branding and segmentation is important, where it can make the work for the employer more personalised, and the effort to understand, negotiate and acctually do the work more efficiently increases. ... This means that the historical lows in interest rates that we are seeing will continue in the short run. In the long run however, there looks to be a divergence from that short run trend. Consumers and businesses in the long run will get away from the de leveraging process that we are seeing in the recent past and currently and begin to build up cash that will circulate more unreservedly. This will cause the Fed to set interest rates at higher levels in order to combat against the rise in inflation in the post deleveraging period. Manohla Dargis The NY Times I was totally blown out by the movie Get Out. This movie is surprisingly subtle and effective horror film for our time, which is written and directed by Jordan Peele. Being fan of Jordan Peele comedy sketches from Key and Peele, I went to the movie knowing his comedic and satirical chops, and his directorial debut definitely doesn t disappoint. This movie will be talked for quite a time. He is initially hesitant when he finds out that Rose hasn t told her family that he is black, but she is quick to assure him that they are not racist, emphasizing that her parents would have voted for Obama for third term if they could. Shocked by his girlfriend s parent s behavior, he starts to think there is something odd at their house. The trip starts out innocent enough but it devolves quickly into something brooding and terrifying.
