One example Yang gave was when Jin was eating his lunch and a group of boys went over to
him. They teased him about eating dogs (Yang 32 33). This only because Timmy and the teacher
assumed the worst of Jin s culture and associated him with it. These kids were bullying Jin
because he was different. This happens everywhere from the workplace to the classroom and
some people think that it is true so it is okay. In order to make them look and feel superior, the
kids bullied Jin and made him feel left out and not worth anything. This also happens today, as

Throughout time, Westerners have more or less oppressed Eastern culture, creating the west as the
metaphysical head of the world. The west s ethnocentric tendencies, have acted as a suppressant to
the spread of non western thought. Even though Eastern ideologies tend to differ greatly from
thoughts of the western world, there is some level of unity between the two. Unlike the ecclesiastical
influences, seen in the west, Confucianism and Sikhi present thoughts about the individual and

Western society views Confucianism as only a partial social contract. Primarily there is an idea of

In The Canterbury Tales, the knight is a modern type of knight. Although the description of this

The Passage Of Time Affects The Memory Of The Holocaust
The passage of time affects our memories of the past by the memory content that we experience
in life which shows us that the more changing experiences we have, the longer subjective
duration lasts for. The bigger and more intense memories have a greater impact on the memories
that we tend to hold on to and remember for lifetime. For example, a weekend spent at home
doing our usual routines passes very quickly. In contrast, a weekend when we travel to a new
destination with a friend lasts much longer or like in novels that we have read when the Nazi
regime took over Europe and cause 60 million people to lose their lives. By stating this, I
understand that we can recall many different, new, and catastrophic events. This memory load
