Community Is The Goal Oriented Community
A community is an interacting group of various species and abiotic things that live within the same
location. Each community is different due to being comprised of unique organisms and inanimate
objects. The basic unit of community relies on survival. As stated by de Waal, the primate
community is a prime example which displays how we perform innate behaviors to ensure our
survival. The next level of community is the goal oriented community. Goal oriented communities
strive to bring about change in their communities whether it be for better or worse. The goal
oriented community can be allotted into different categories. One type of an ambitious community
is that of associations as described by Tocqueville. The other goal oriented community is that of the
revolutionary community. This community attempts to raise awareness about injustice found in a
community and urges that members of the community fight to make injustice cease to exist. The
final stage of community ends with the community that cares for the environment as a whole. Not
only does it care for the living thingsthat reside in the community, but it appreciates the nonliving
things that are found in the community as well. The nature loving community recognizes that
everything within the community is necessary to have and to care for. Each of these communities
start with having the need for survival but become more complex until they are able to incorporate
love in their communities. The foundation for most

What Is The Formal Analysis Of The Bauhaus
The Bauhaus is a school that opened in 1919 by Walter Gropius. The school focused on bringing
together all forms of art and design making all faculties equal in importance. At first the school was
influenced by The Arts and Crafts movement but after 1923 the focus shifted to mechanized
production. Moholy Nagy, the director of the Bauhausfrom 1923 onward, wanted new solutions for
the problems of industrialization by means of mass production and educating the new generation on
how to create such solutions.
The students, from diverse backgrounds and interests, had to pass a preliminary course before
being admitted into the school and then were part of workshops where they would do practical
work (1923 Bauhaus Online [sa]). The Bauhaus believed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Another example of this characteristic of being clear and to the point without distracting the eye
would be the lack of tonal and textual variation in the design. Schmidt has made this poster as
simple and clear as possible so that his message could be understood the first time it was viewed
and so it would give a timeless overall impression.
The poster was well designed and clearly indicates all the aspects of the new Bauhaus s design
characteristics. This is why it is a perfect example of what should be used to exhibit the new
school, so the public can be aware of the changes made in the school beforehand. Schmidt, as an
educator at the facility, fully understands and believes in the new Bauhaus aims and shows this in
his amazing designs. The Bauhaus not only intended on solving the problems of society and
improving the way people lived but also wanted to unite the people through their

Chemy Called Al Book Summary
The book that I read was the Chemy called Al book. The book was most about a young
adventures girl that had an adventure in a place, she was trapped in a place where she learns
about elements and how they help her get out. It talked about what the elements in the periodic
table do and what they are use and some examples of the stuff made for it. The bookis telling us
about the states of matter and how they are use and what they use for with the ways people interact
with them.
1
Julie learns about the periodic table and how it is use and learns the states of matter and what
they are. The first one or one of the state of matter is solids. Solids are matter that have weight or
shape of an object that takes up space on earth, because It is something stable that cant move that
easy. The book and the stuff we have gone over in class are about the same like a solid is atoms
that take up space on earth just like Julie is trapped in Science land and hasn t been before and

Gas is some what air in my opinion because you cant see it but you can hear it, you can feel air
from the breeze. You can also breathe it because we breathe air for our lungs. People, animals,
plants and machines use gases or convert them into something they can use for their survival.
People use gases from or air from trees that they covert and we use to breathe, we also use gases
from natural resources for energy. Animals rely on air because plants need it to make food and
animals eat the grass or their host that does. We use machines that use gases like propane that
burns like gas to make machines function right. An example of gases is air, propane. This relates
to the work we have done in class in some ways because it talks about some of the experiments we
have done with balloons and air and how much is needed for an object to operate and work

Art Analysis Of Thomas P. Anshutz s A Rose
The image I chose for this paper is titled A Rose. The image is a painting painted in oil on a
canvas and was painted by Thomas P. Anshutz. The painting was produced in Pennsylvania during
1907. I researched this image on ARTstor by using the term realism and then I narrowed down my
search by selecting a filter to return paintings as well as setting the geography filter to North
America. The painting belongs to The Metropolitan Museum of Art s collection and is on display
in the American Wing in the gallery of Images of Woman
from 1880 to 1910.
I selected this painting because the colour contrast of the pink dress against the dark background
caught my eye. I also found the expression of the young woman to be interesting.
The painting depicts a young woman in a pink dress sitting down. The background is very dark
but three things can be made out by the viewer. Starting with the ground plane of the painting, an
orange carpet can be seen covering the entire floor. It is patterned and contains yellows, greens
and blues. The cool toned colours are darker in hue than the warm toned. Secondly, there appears
to be a cabinet or a desk lining the wall behind her. The wood of the cabinetry is carved with
detailed designs and is made of a dark stained wood. Despite the dark background a single red rose
can be seen on top of the cabinetry. The rose looks freshly picked and shows no signs of withering
in its petals. It is painted in a muted red colour that allows it to stand out on

Biblical Overtones In East Of Eden, By John Steinbeck
The novel, East of Eden, features Biblical overtones from the stories of Genesis. The novel was
written by John Steinbeck and turned into a film by Elia Kazan in 1955. Kazan s purpose was to
show how the Bible could influence media and culture. The film was released on April 10th, 1955
and featured James Deanas Cal, Richard Davalos as Aron, Julie Harris as Abra, Raymond Massey
as Adam, and Jo Van Fleet as Kate. East of Eden is set in the time before and after America
joined World War I. The Trask family, who lives in Salinas Valley, is trying to make it through
the tumultuous times. Cal is the youngest son and sees himself as the black sheep of the family,
due to his tendency to be bad and rebellious. Cal is always competing with his older brother
Aron, who seems to be perfect in every way. Aron is their father s favorite and Cal desperately
wants their father s love and affection. After his father loses most of his money trying to ship
lettuce surrounded by ice to New York, Cal decides to invest into the crop of beans and makes a
small fortune. After earning that fortune for his father, he realizes that he cannot buy his fathers
love. Cal s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first biblical reference I noticed was at Adam s surprise birthday party. When Adam arrived
at the surprise party, Aron presented him with the news of his and Abra s engagement, which
Abra was unaware of. Aron presented this information to upstage Cal s gift of the fortune their
father had lost. Adam, in turn, accepted Aron s gift with happiness and joy while rejecting Cal s
with anger. This scene related to the Cain and Abel story when God accepted Abel s offering of
animal fat and rejected Cain s gift of fruit from the soil. Abel had given God a true sacrifice from
the first of his flock and Cain gave him fruit that was not a real sacrifice to

December 1, 1989; Dick Humphreys, May 19, 1990; Charles Carskaddon, May 31 1990; Troy

killing. She carried a gun with her at all times; the murder weapon was a .22 caliber handgun a
small gun, generally carried by women and generally intended for self defense. During her many
trials, the recovered handgun, which Aileen had dumped in a river, was forensically matched to
four of her victims (5). Aileen s modus operandi was very consistent across all of her crimes. She
would pick up men as a hitchhiker, usually along I 75 (3). Once in the vehicle, she would tell a
sob story about trying to save up money to send for her children (she had no dependents) and ask
if there was anything she could do for them in exchange for a little cash. She and the john would
then drive off into the woods and settle on what services they wanted and what the price would be.

This chapter shows the results from both quantitative and qualitative research methods. This
research is implemented by completing questionnaires by secondary school teachers and students.
The questionnaires were completed by 200 teachers and 144 students. Also, four secondary school
teachers (from private and public secondary schools) participated in the qualitative research method
(semi structured interview). The interviews were via telephone.
The purpose of this chapter is to present the data collected from both research methods, give
analyses the data and discuss the result.
4.2THE FINDINGS AND DATA ANALYSIS FROM INTERVIEWS
The interviews involved four teachers, two from private secondary schools while the other two
were of public schools. Two teachers taught ICT in their respective schools, one taught chemistry
and the last taught mathematics respectively. The interview took place from 3rd to 11th November
2014. The details of the interview can be seen in Appendix B, C, D, E.
From the interview, everyone that participated seems to have confidence with the use of ICTs
infrastructure. According to every participant, they own a personal computer (PC) and have access
to internet at home either via the use of the mobile data or access to a network modem. All the
teachers said that they surf the internet at least an hour per day and at least four days a week to

Southwest Airlines
Introduction
The domestic US airline industry has been intensely competitive since it was deregulated in 1978.
In a regulated environment, most of the cost increases were passed along to consumers under a
fixed rate of return based pricing scheme. This allowed labor unions to acquire a lot of power and
workers at the major incumbent carriers were overpaid. After deregulation, the incumbent carriers
felt the most pain, and the floodgates had opened for newer more nimble carriers with lower cost
structures to compete head on with the established airlines. There were several bankruptcies
followed by a wave of consolidation with the fittest carriers surviving and the rest being ... Show

The minimum efficient scale was not very high since airlines could choose to compete in a few
markets, and costs were more or less proportional to the number of flights offered and the number
of markets the airline wanted to operate in. The main consideration for profitable entry seemed to
be the ability of airlines to fill their airplanes above the breakeven point. In an industry fraught
with price competition, brand identity and reputation did not have significant value either. In the
airline industry, exit costs are not very high either. Planes could be easily redeployed to other
markets, or sold off, and gates and landing rights could be sub leased to other carriers.
Substitutes
There are a number of substitutes to air travel, especially over short distances. These include taking
other modes of transportation such as driving, taking the train etc., or not traveling at all. The use
of technology (like WebEx, NetMeeting, video conferencing etc.) that facilitates remote virtual
collaboration is becoming a good substitute for business air travel as well.
Supplier Power
The primary inputs to the airline industry include airplanes, labor and fuel. There are only two
major manufacturers (three at the time of the case Boeing, Airbus and McDonnell Douglas) for
large commercial aircraft. This, along with the relationship specific

International Pressure As A Possible Solution
Thus far, we have covered many of the at risk groups in Bahraini society, all of whom are at risk
because of government action or inaction. Given that widespread protests resulted in no significant
changes, the outlook for the Bahraini government instituting changes on their own for the
betterment of human rightsis unlikely. I have suggested international pressure as a possible
solution to many of the rights violations we have discussed, but for several reasons, this has not
happened, and is unlikely to do so. The Fifth Fleet of the United States Navy is based in Bahrain.
The US views the fleet base in Bahrain as an important area in the Middle East, and does not want
to do anything to jeopardize its continued existence. The other... Show more content on

Bahrain also faces the problem of health issues deriving from high temperatures. The government
passed a law that banned outdoor work for the 4 peak heat hours of the day during summer, as the
average temperature is 104 degrees Fahrenheit during that time15. If temperatures increase,
Bahrainis who are unable to afford proper housing and cooling systems are at higher risk for heat
stroke and heat related health complications. Outdoor workers will also face increased risks, and
the government may have to expand their laws to protect these people. Since many of these
outdoor workers are migrant workers, it is unclear if the Bahraini government would take
immediate action to protect their well being. Bahrain needs larger international actors to reduce
their emissions, while international actors need to pressure Bahrain to stop their violations of
human rights. I see a mutually beneficial solution. If Bahrain stopped their human rights abuses,
and even marginally increased democratic participation, they might have more power to convince
international actors to reduce emissions. On top of threatening to deny base and port access to the
US s 5th Fleet, these changes could convince the US to both reduce emissions themselves and
lobby for other high emissions states to reduce as well. This would solve Bahrain s human rights
issues, even those stemming from climate change. There are a few reasons why this is a pipedream

Third Noble Truth In Hinduism
The Third Noble Truth is explains that a Hindu believer does not have to stay in that unsatisfactory
state that there were in during the third truth. The path of liberation is one stage that the believer
has to admit that life is awful and life has desire. The goal of this stage is let go of the desires that
was being held on to during the tanha stage and realizing that there is so much more to gain in the
Hinduism faith, such as seeing Buddha face again in Heaven where he now resides. Working hard
during the liberation stage and not giving up leads to the renunciation stage. Renunciation occurs
when pressure of life begins to turn for the worst and the thought of giving happens. The believer
should contemplate, investigate, and determine how

The Birthmark by Hawthorne
Representation of Evil In Hawthorne s short story The Birthmark , Aylmer feels that his wife
Georgiana is a miracle and that she is perfect. Her only flaw was the birthmark in the shape of a
hand placed on her cheek. Instead of focusing on all her Georgiana s perfections, Aylmer only
focused on one of her flaws, the birthmark. Aylmer constructs a statement about her birthmark
saying that, It was the fatal flaw of humanity which Nature, in one shape or another, stamps
ineffaceably on her productions, either to imply that they are temporary and finite, or that their
perfection must be wrought by toil and pain. (Meyer 345) Aylmer s abhorrence for Georgiana s
imperfection is a representation of evil in this story, he talks about Nature or God and how spiritual
he is during the whole story; but his key focal point shifts to her imperfection. This is a
representation of evil for the actuality that she carried one physical defect and that is all Aylmer
could focus on. People like this are called pessimistic, since they only concentrate the awful or
expect the worst. Georgiana was perfectly at ease for the way she was until her husband kept
making comments about her until she became self conscious about
Middleton 2 it and started to loathe what she admired most. His original love and appreciation for
his wife turned into an obsession of trying to mold her look the way he wanted her to, not the way
God intended. In the end Georgiana felt as though she would rather die than to

United Law Of Public International Law
Report to International Law First concerning the fear that the concept of state sovereignty in public
international law is frequently overlooked by politicians, the media and others. Introduction.
International Law First has asked for a report concerning the impact of public international law on
the concept of state sovereignty in the UK. This report will examine the limits that public
international law imposes on state sovereignty and the effect that this has on the balance of power
within the UK and internationally. This report will explain how state sovereignty is impacted by
public international law and the way in which public international law is incorporated into the UK s
domestic law. A conclusion will be reached as to the level of impact that public international law
has on the UK s state sovereignty and the necessity of this impact for the successful functioning of
the UK within the international community. Incorporation of public international law into UK
domestic law. Unlike many European states the UK operates a dualist approach to the incorporation
of public international law into domestic law. In dualist systems the ratification of international
treaties by the government does not have any effect on domestic law until the treaties are given
effect by further legislation. In the light of a dualist approach UK laws can only be created by Acts
of Parliament. Furthermore, the Constitutional Reform Act 2010 introduced legislation enabling

Summary Of Hungry Minds By Ian Frazier
Hunger is something we experience every single day, but the hunger I am talking about isn t what
you are thinking. Hunger is when something is missing or absent. It can be emotionally,
physically, physiological or spiritual. We are always hungry for something in life and as an adult,
you are never truly full. We are constantly striving for more and to fulfill all types of hunger. This is
perfectly described in the of Ian Frazier s article, Hungry Minds.
Frazier describes different people that are involved with the soup kitchen and they are all there
because they are hungry, some for food but majority is there to fulfill a deeper hunger. Father Rand
Frew was the one who suggested to start the soup kitchen because he wanted to feed his need of
starting something that would make a difference. I can relate to Father Rand Frew in this aspect
because I am too hungry for that. I want to make a difference and right now in my life, I feel
deprived of this. That is why I am here at Warner Pacific College to fulfill that hunger. I am
exhausted of my current job as a billing specialist for a long term care pharmacy. The work I do
every day tends to get overlooked. I am looking to get the Atta boy! or the pat on the back but all I
get right now is a paycheck and a cold room to sit in. I need to see that my work is making a
difference to keep myself motivated and strive to work harder. I want to eventually have that job
that makes me feel good as a person and make me feel proud. I

Epic Hero
The world needs heroes. Weather they are fictional or not, people need something to look up to.
The Flash not only is a hero, but an epic hero as well. He has a supernatural ability, he sacrifices
himself for others, and usually wins a reward in the end. At least in the TV show, Barry Allen, The
Flash, shows the traits of an epic hero.
The Flash most definitely has a supernatural aid. He can travel over 2000 miles per hour by
running. In season 1 episode 2 Fastest Man Alive, The Flash gains his supernatural ability. At
1:15, he saves a little girl from a burning building, even when Doctor Wells, the scientist in charge
of studying Barry s capabilities, said he didn t know everything about Barry s body yet and that he
did caution restraint for Barry (David Nutter 3:30).
Barry often proves that he is willing to make sacrifices for others. In season 3 episode 22
Infantino Street, Barry and Leonard Snart steal an energy source required to save Barry s fiance,
but by taking it, the facility goes on lockdown. The door to the room begins to close, but only
Barry makes it out of the room in time. Snart tries to convince Barry to leave by himself when he

The Flash uses his super speed often and it aids him in many missions, which is his supernatural

epic hero, in fact superpowers would corrupt most people. What it really takes is using your great
power for the good of others. That is why I consider The Flash an epic hero.

The Writing Of The Barbarian
The barbarian snarled, a war cry bursting from his lips as he ambled toward me. His leather boots
kicked dust up from the arena floor as he moved in a slow circle, trying to get his back to the sun
and diminish my line of sight. It was a good trick, but there was just one problem with that. I knew
what he was trying to do.
Even if I could keep him from blinding me, that hulking axe of his would do some major damage.
If he hit me with that, no amount of blocking would keep my head from getting caved in like a
casaba melon. Unfortunately, I was only good up close. I d have to engage him sooner or later,
and since his arms were longer than mine, I d have to be quick. Even a cursory blow from him
would mean trouble since the wardings on his gauntlets let me know he had ogre strength.
That said, I d done this dance a million times before. The key was to not get frazzled. No, I had
to stay calm. If I was calm, I could win. At least in theory. Unfortunately, it was always easier to
tell yourself to be calm than to actually calm down. On the other hand, it was always a lot easier to
piss the other guy off.
Have you heard the one about your mother? I asked, a grin melting across my face as I stepped
back, trying to put space between me and his big axe. The muscles in his legs twitched as I spoke,
letting me know he was about to attack. You probably have, it s huge.
Another snarl tore from his throat as he leapt toward me, huge twin bladed axe cleaving through the

The Common Definition Of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus
The common definition of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is glucose or carbohydrate
intolerance with onset, first recognition or first diagnosis during pregnancy; it is a common
complication in pregnancy that typically ends a few weeks after birth (Coustan, 2013; Zhang Ning,
2011; Brown, 2011). Although the causes of GDM are not known, it appears that hormones from
the placenta lead to insulin resistance in the mother; this insulin resistance combined with an
inadequate insulin secretion to compensate for its resistance has a central role in the
pathophysiology of GDM, which can then lead to hyperglycemia and gestational diabetes mellitus
(Zhang Ning, 2011; Blake, Munoz, Volpe, 2014). It is thought that women who develop GDM...

screening test used for GDM is a 50 gram 1 hour glucose challenge (50 gram oral glucose test) at
24 28 weeks gestation (Coustan 2013; Brown, 2011). This one hour glucose test is used as the
initial screening tool to identify potential cases that may need further testing; further testing is
required if the glucose level is greater than or equal to 130 mg/dL (Brown, 2011). The first test is
followed up with either the 100 g/3 h oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) or the 75 g/2 h OGTT; the

So the article talks how people actually experience discrimination in their own life. The first
article is the one that gave me more insight about how discrimination actually effects African
American people in their everyday life. This article gives us example on 15 participants, who
were the age of 18 68 and from both genders. This article talked more about how the participants
felt in certain situations. The four situation that they want to get is shopping experiences, law
enforcement contact, employment, and being black in Topeka. Here is an example of one of
the participant experience while shopping Now when I go to clothing stores, I ll look up and

Nursing Practices In Australia
Developing countries such as Ethiopia, located in Africa, have a different perspective and way of
implicating nursing practices than nurses in Australia do. According to The World Bank survey
taken in 2010, Australia has 9.6 nurses for every thousand citizens counted compared to Ethiopia,
who has a low 0.2 nurses for every thousand citizens counted (The World Bank, 2010). These
differences in nursing practices include the availability and maintenance of medical technology to
help nurses achieve the best care for patients, the education standards for nurses and nursing
students, and the quality of the nurses infection prevention practices.

attained when studying in Australia, which is shown through the length of the nursing degree, and
although both Australia and Ethiopia have very similar nursing guidelines and infection prevention
guidelines, the rules and regulations are put into practice in very different manners. Prevention of
disease and infection is taken more seriously, and is seen as a very important procedure in Australia
compared to Ethiopia. It is important to provide Ethiopian hospitals with sufficient funding and
equipment to properly care for the sick patients needing medical treatment, which can be provided

What Is The Schlieffen Plan
This paper will examine and discuss the German Schlieffen Plan utilized during World War I. The
Schlieffen Plan was designed by Chief of the General Staff of the German Army Alfred von
Schlieffen, as a strategy for invading France, while also holding off Russia. Schlieffen wanted the
attack to be a swift and decisive strike to ensure that France would capitulate quickly, allowing
Germanyto send their forces on the French front over to the Russian front, combining their armies
into one force that could then invade Russia. One of the main points of the strategy, was that
Germany would go through Belgiumand attack France where it was weaker, instead of the Maginot
Line, which was heavily fortified. The army would then sweep around and take Paris.

After reading the sample request for proposal, it has been determined that the proposal does not
meet the government s standard form for solicitation. A typical form is much lengthier than the
provided sample; however the information provided is very straight to the point. It does specify
the services they would like to have performed and does ask the bidder to provide further
information in their response. The official form would list other information like the deadline for
final submission and would specify if there will be a bidders meeting. A typical RFP is about 12

The person conducting the review or decision should not be related in any way to the procurement
in question, they should be a neutral party. When a contractor files a protest it needs to be
logical and to the point, it should also contain the protestor s name, address and contact
information and needs to specify that this is a protest. When filing a protest at the agency level
there are two different deadlines. You can either file before the closing of the bid or after. In this
case if the larger company file after the bid is closed they have 10 days to do so after the basis
for the protest is known. If the protest is received before the award, no award with be issued
until the protest is resolved. If the larger company decides to file their protest at the GAO level,
the same rules apply. They need to have a clear and concise format and it must be in writing.
When filing at the GAO level the protest needs to be detailed, factual and legal grounds for the
complaint. There needs to be proof of prejudice as the basis. The contractor will also need to
provide the agency with a full copy of their protest or complaint. At the GAO level there are
three different deadlines, but they all need to be filed no later than 10 days after the protestor
learns of the offensive action. The last way to file a protest is through the U.S. Court of Federal
Claims. In this scenario there is a judge that will preside over the matter and act as

Comparing The Story Of The Old Testament And The New...
Utilizing the understanding of the later definition make is extremely easier to incorporate the
narrative of the Old Testament and the New Testament into one chronicle event moving along the
time line to teach and understand the mission of the church. It follows the events of knowing the
story and where the church came from and where it is headed. Clearly the church is not complete
as Jesushas not returned so the work is still on going. The story continues to be written. Christians
today, just as the Jewish people did back during the times of the Old Testament, need to know the
story and to do that we need to know the scriptures.
The question comes down to how the Old Testament and the New Testament would be formed into
one narrative to accomplish the goal of enhancing the understanding of the mission of the church.
To accomplish this task, I believe Christopher Wright, in his book, summarized the task very well.
If one looks at the Bible from an actual story line the flow from one Testament to the other does
exactly that; it flows. The Old Testament points to the New Testament and the New Testament
builds upon the Old Testament.
The four major sections of the biblical story are Creation, Fall, Redemption in History, and New
Creation . If people begin to think in terms of the Biblical story from Genesis through Revelation
and the realization that the story is not over, it will be simpler to understand how all the time eras
in the Bible relate to each other and

Albert Einstein said: I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious . Talent is
something that people achieve a particular exceptional skills that others cannot. Today s world
some people believe that talent is given by God when a child comes to this world, and all you
need to succeed at anything is talent. It is clear that everyone is gifted with a talent by God but
the level of it differs. Some other, on the other hand, claim that any person can be trained to be
talented; therefore, your talent is your choice. Geoffrey Colvin wrote, The critical reality is that

Big Two Hearted River Hemmingway Analysis
In the story Big Two Hearted River Hemmingway explains how coming back from the war is
almost like a pause in your life. You have death inside you because you ve experienced so many
horrible things in war. Hemmingway uses his main character, Nick to show how he moved on from
coming back from war. Nick came back home to a burnt town, and nothing but the wilderness.
Coming back from war is dramatic. War causes PTSD. PTSD is a disease which causes you to
freak out and be anxious a lot because of what you ve seen in the past. The train went on up the
track out of sight, around one of the hills of burnt timber (77) The word to emphasize on is
burnt. If you look further into the word it ll take you into nicks world. When Nick came home
there was almost a part of death inside him, dragging him on. He went through some much. In
the swamp the banks were bare, the big cedars came together overhead, the sun did not come
through, except in patches; in the fast deep water, in the half light, the fishing would be tragic.
(198) Thinking about going to the swamp is like thinking about war. He tries so hard to not go to
the swamp, because it made him think about his awful times. He s lonely in the woods but it s a
good type of lonely. His brain is foggy. Stepping off that train step brought him... Show more

of the water are his memories, they are leaving him and letting him relax back home. Nick worked

Inequality And Oppression
The aim of this essay is to address the problem of inequality and oppression through three separate
texts, The Second Sex, The Death of the Profane and Killing Rage. The Second Sex focuses on the
woman and her role compared to man. The Death of the Profane and Killing Rage are both texts
that describe experiences about the constant racism felt by blacks. To thoroughly examine these
texts and how they are related to oppression and inequality it is important to first define what each
mean. Oppression and inequality each have different definitions but they go hand in hand.
Oppression is the state of being subject to prolonged unjust treatment. While inequality is defined
as lacking equality, equality is the state of being equal especially in status,... Show more content on

Simone de Beauvoir focuses on women and their permanent otherness, women will always be
this other . They are never the subject or absolute like man is. This constant oppression of
women is different of others, women are not a minority, they are numerically almost equal to
man and yet man has still been able to create dominance over them. Man is the superior, they are
the absolute and women are the other. Oppositely, bell hooks and Patricia Williams speak on the
inequality of minorities, specifically blacks. Racism and killing rage are heavily connected.
Racism is strong and deep; it is the phantom in the room. Killing rage is a rage that is felt after
constant unjust treatment, it is a rage that is healing. This killing rage should be viewed as a
passion for freedom. I think a passion for freedom should be the forefront change. This passion for
freedom can be connected to each author. A passion for freedom can aid in changing the permanent
otherness women have faced and continue to face. Otherness is expressed through inequalities in
pay and the way women are viewed. Simone de Beauvoir s text brought up important and relevant
inequalities women and minorities face. Patricia Williams text focusing on the inequality blacks
face is relevant and important. Again a passion for freedom from oppression and inequality should
be expressed. By Patricia Williams continually

Lady Lazarus Plath confirms her strong faith in rebirth and resurrection: Out of the ash I rise
with my red hair and I eat men like air16. It further makes obvious her repulsion on men. She
believes that Suicide, Death and Resurrection may fetch her eternal happiness. That is why, it
seems, she loves death. She further has strong conviction in resurrection to slay all men traitors
in the world. She suggestively shows her bitterness on her husband for his desertion from her

desertion. Divorce is very common in the West but Plath could not digest Ted Hughes separation
and his loveless life with her. Women folks expect true love from men. When they find the love
of man is only corporeal and fake, they turn brutal and commit suicide or choose to kill their

indisputable connection with the current health status of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

The average ATSI person s disposable income is only 70% of the average non Indigenous

Australians weekly disposable income of $896. Living in remote areas makes this even more of a
struggle as there are fewer employment opportunities, higher costs of goods and services, poor
education and poor infrastructure. Therefore, if ATSI people living in remote areas are already
living on a tight budget this makes it extremely difficult for them to afford suitable healthcare. To

Airline Alliances
Airline Alliances an Analysis
Introduction:
Liberalisation of the Airline Market now allows carriers to engage in alliances to form more
powerful synergy s and capture a larger share of the market. Since the introduction of The Airline
Deregulation Act in 1978 in North America and similar acts worldwide the aviation industry has
become one of the fastest growing industries. The main objective of this was to allow the market
place to influence the development of airlines. The main development from this was that airlines
find it more beneficial if they join alliances. In this report I will discuss why airlines engage in
alliances, identify the strategic benefits of alliances and assess their effectiveness.
Why airlines engage in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By pooling resources alliances can reduce unit costs and achieve greater cost efficiencies through
more efficient utilisation of resources such as sharing landing slots, maintenance teams, IT systems
and labour. Airlines also have the opportunity of engaging in joint purchasing agreements and
make considerable savings. When we look at the Star Alliance which was founded in 1997 we see
that they have made considerable savings from joint purchasing agreements. Earlier this year The
Star Alliance leveraged its purchasing power with the procurement of new economy class seats. As
well as reducing the cost of seat ownership the airline will also benefit of reduced future fuel costs
due to the seats being made of lighter materials.
The demand side benefits of Strategic Alliances include accessing new markets through availing of
new landing slots. Landing slots are a big plus from strategic alliances. Currently Virgin Airways
are looking for landing slots at London s main airports to fly to destinations in Asia including
Bangalore. Through the potential prospect of joining the Alliance Sir Richard Branson hopes to
secure these slots. Alliances enable airlines to offer a more seamless network of flights to
customers due to their collaborative efforts. Alliances also have the option to use code sharing
which enables consumers to book space on the same flights through multiple airlines websites.
Effectiveness of alliances:

Conformity In The Chocolate War By Robert Cormier
The positives of being an individual are more present in the media but the negatives are
normally overlooked . In the novel named The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier the main
character Jerry has to deal with reality that it s not so easy to go against the grain .The novel
does an excellent job highlighting how his individuality affects his social , personal life, and
societal pressures and bullying . The first thing The Chocolate War highlights is the effects
individuality has on the protagonist Jerry Renault throughout the story. After Jerry decides to
not sell chocolates there seems to be a ripple effect of other students viewing him as a hero with
kids slapping him on the butt and in the school that was a sign of respect. Then the chocolates

Analysis Of The Movie Saving Private Ryan
1. What is the true subject or the theme of the film, and What kind of statement, if any, does the
film make about the subject? Which elements and which themes contributed most to addressing the
theme of the film?
There are many themes throughout the film Saving Private Ryan, but one of the biggest is the
theme of sacrifice and we are introduced to this theme very early on in the film when we see the
Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. We see the sacrifice that the soldiers of World War
ll gave up to protect the freedom of the united states for their generation and future generations. we
see this theme again In the scene in back to back scenes when Private Caparzo is killed by the
sniper in the towers when he is trying to help the family with children, it s seen again in the next
scene in the church when Tom Hankss character Captain Miller is reflecting on the lose of
Caparzo, he speaks about how he deals with the lose of a man in his command. He does not
Utter the word sacrifice but he Implies it by talking about how when he loses a man it happened
to save the lives of two or three more men.The theme of sacrifices is scene for one last time in

Viva Maritime within Rida K Liamsi s Poetry
The notion of maritime is one of themes frequently brought up by a poet. Energetic enthusiasm in
facing life in maritime society has inspired poets to write a conception about maritime. This
research aims at analyzing maritime concept included within four poetry by Rida K Liamsi, namely
Laut, Tempuling, Pancang Nibung I, and Kemejan. Descriptive method is used in order to
explain maritime concept contained in those four poetry. The research result shows that those
four poetry raise about the rigorous of life obstacles inside maritime territory. These poetry are
yielded on the basis of Malay eagerness to live in a maritime zone. These Malays are depicted to
struggle with never give up spirit in confronting life cycle. Though in every fight results win and
failure, the Malay people never surrender to fate. Destiny does not impair their exertion in
handling life. What even more interesting is that Malay people recognize the importance of sense
or essence of life, for struggle is the truly heart of life.

Amrith s Journey
This is a fitting title for the section I read as it helped readers understand Amrith s life and emotions
by concluding the novel with Amrith having many of his problems solved.
In my opinion, a journey is like a rollercoaster filled with ups and downs that only finishes when it
ends. Just like the novel, Amrith experiences many new things that he became quite fond of, even if
the same happiness became his misery. Nevertheless, this was only temporarily as Amrith is naГЇve
and easily jealous, thankfully over time he learned that staying ignorant does not solve his conflicts
and he must make amends on his own.
Prior to the ending, Amrith corrected his issues with his fake family and blood related family,
comprising of Niresh and his dead mother. Finally, Amrith is even rewarded with a gift, that I will
explain later, which seems realistic as opposed to Amrith and Niresh magically falling in love
during the last chapter.
Quick Summary: The last chapter was almost subtle to the point where it felt like a cliff hanger.
The conclusion made it seem as if Selvadurai plans on publishing a sequel, but that is not the case.
Regardless, the last few chapters revealed background knowledge on the mysterious death of
Amrith s parents. It explained how his mother was forced into giving up Amrith, in attempt to cure
Amrith s father from his alcohol problems. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Aiding in the understanding of Amrith and his past, anyways throughout the novel I have always
wondered why a mother such as Amrith s would cease to care for their own children. Now

for Amrith. The only issue was that Amrith has always been naГЇve and interpreted the situation as
a vulgar act, though his reasoning can be justified and

Collumbus And Christopher Columbus
In 1492, Christopher Columbus, Italian born but is funded by a Spanish monarch, set sail across
the Atlantic ocean hoping to find a direct passage from Europe to India and Asia. Instead of
finding a sailing route to India and Asia, he instead came upon America. He mistook America for
India and named the citizens he found Indians . He then proceeded to sail back to the Spanish
monarch where they decided to fund three more voyages (CCHC). However, one question over
time has arisen. Why would a Spanish monarch support Italian born Columbus instead of Spanish
explorers? The answer is God, glory, and gold.
There are many reasons as to why the Spanish monarchy funded Columbus, but it all can be
divided into three main reasons: God, glory, gold. The Spanish monarch is rich in gold and is a
super power country (QINW). By funding Columbus, the monarchy would lose virtually nothing.
Actually, if successful, the results would be vice versa in the long run. The cost to fund Columbus
voyage will only cost Spain the amount of money it would cost to host a small noble at court.
However, if Columbus was successful, merchants will save money as they will not require as
much resources to make the trip. If Columbus found a faster and much safer route to the Spice
Lands, the name given to Asia and India due to the high amount and variety of spices used there,
the Spanish monarchy will save money over time. This would also help bolster the economy of
Spain as merchants can travel

The Jedi Path
The personal and communal nature of spirituality is nowhere so clear as it is with the Jedi
Community. I assert that the promotion of the Jedi Path (as an authentic spiritual orientation) is
best maintained by the Perennial Philosophy. In the performance of ritual at the Temple such as
birthdays, invocations, tokens of offering, etc., etc. are all designed to promote a higher
spirituality, authentic in form and grounded in science/philosophy. In addition, I explore how
(daily) rituals at (both at the Temple and at home) imply/strengthen/reinforce the particular moral
agenda of the Jedi/ Code and their Code. In the observation of such an ethical framework, served
as the basis for moral purification and the basis and rationale an individual s (Jedi) training as well
as for the general placement of the (Jedi Path) spirituality within society. As a moral beacon, the
Temple functions as a transforming influence beneficial to society as a whole, providing foundation

The Corruption Of The Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic was discovered by Christopher Columbus on his first voyage in 1492.
He named it La Isla de EspaГ±ola. The capital, Santo Domingo was founded in 1496 is the oldest
European settlement in the Western Hemisphere. Spain ceded the colony to France in 1795. The
island was conquered in 1801 by Haitian blacks under the command of Toussaint L Ouverture. In
1808 the people revolted and captured Santo Domingo the next year, setting up the first republic.
Led by Pedro Santana the Haitians were thrown out and the Dominican Republicwas established.
Multiple attacks on the Island forced Santana to make the country a part of Spain from 1861 to
1865. The first president, Buenaventura Baez had to deal with many economic issues and in 1870
attempted to annex the country to the United States but senate declined. Anarchy and corruption
continued until the dictatorship of Ulises Heureaux. The United States sent a group of Marines
when chaos broke out once again in 1924. Rafael Leonides Trujillo Molina a sergeant who was
trained by the marines established a dictatorship until 1961 when he was assassinated. Juan Bosch

Analysis Of Laura Rowley s Article, As They Say, Drugs Kill
In the article, As They Say, Drugs Kill, by Laura Rowley tells us that the easiest way to end a party
is by having someone die in the middle of the occasion. Len Bias just a typical 22 year old guy
celebrating with his friends at a private house party. At every college party there s always a drug,
today s drugwas psilocybin. However, this was a normal party people would play games, tell
jokes, and listened to music on the stereo. As Bias fell down one of the guests started to laugh
thinking that Bias was just having fun. Four people grabbed the phone to call dial, but the phone
was dead so they rushed to the neighbor s house to call. Everyone was panicking about the
situation. They kept asking if they should call the ambulance or not. However, a friend told

his chest. However, no one told the paramedics that Bias took psilocybin. The following day,
people would shake Rowley s hand, but he could not let out emotions. Someone said if someone
who takes a drug doesn t value their lives too highly. However, others people didn t get their
lesson after the incident. When others talk about Bias s incident it haunted him because the
image of him lying on the floor appeared in his eyes. However, he compared Bias s death to a war

Advantages Of Augmented Reality Technology
Is Augmented Reality Technology an Effective Tool for E commerce?
It is without a doubt that e commerce has become a part of life for most of us. The E commerce
industry has grown and has truly taken the world by storm. It has faced numerous challenges from
its initial stages and has surpassed a ton of them, making it a successful innovation in how we
shop. However, there definitely still is room for improvement, as there are challenges that are left
to be addressed.
One of the biggest issues when shopping online is that lack of tangibility. It is difficult for a lot of
us to reach a purchase decision when we do not have an idea as to how a product looks like, feels
like, sounds like, smell like, or tastes like.
This is of the reasons why ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Marxent is a well known player in virtual and augmented reality. It provides solutions for product

So, is Augmented Reality really an effective tool in e commerce?
In a world where innovation is the only thing that will keep a business adaptable to the ever
evolving needs of the society, augmented reality comes as an answer to address the intangibility
issue that e commerce has always faced. AR helps turn imagination into a reality, and ultimately
help customers reach a purchase decision.
If properly utilized, AR will truly revolutionize e commerce, and it will not only make online
shopping more interactive but a truly better way to shop. There would be no need to escape the
comforts of your home, brave the hassle of the outside, all without the yesteryears fears of not
knowing how your products will look like on you or on your

Factors Influencing A Person s Political Views
Self Evaluation
A lot of factor influences a person s political views. A person is influenced by a lot of things that
make them able to take the political stance at a point of life. As an individual, he walks through
the pace of long life to understand the values and beliefs that he has been hearing since childhood.
Sometimes it is really hard for one to decide what political party he wants to support, at that time he
can take the suggestion from his family, friends, media and online quizzes.
The process through which a person develops political beliefs and opinions that influence their
behavior in social spheres is known as political socialization. It is the way in which a person gets

Political ideology is a more or less consistent set of views as to the policies the government ought to
pursue. People around the world, at some point, obtain a political ideology in their lifetime.
American politics functions largely in the middle of the political spectrum as a contest between
liberals and conservatives. Liberals believe the government has an important place both as a
regulator in the public interest and to assist those with lower incomes. On the other hand, they still
oppose government intervention in matters of personal autonomy. Conservatives feel there is too
much government interference, particularly at the federal level, in the economy. This belief
translates into calls for lower taxes, reduced spending on social programs, and deregulation. Perhaps
because most Americans see themselves as moderates, politicians find it difficult to stay within the
ideological boundaries of liberalism or conservatism. Many stress their credentials as fiscal
conservatives while taking liberal positions on social issues. Others take a populist line,
embracing active governmental intervention in both economic and cultural spheres. Upon taking
the online quiz, the website told me that I was 82% social democrat, 52% conservative, 50%
libertarian, 48% fascist or radical right and 48% communist or radical left. Overall, I was a liberal

  • 2. Community Is The Goal Oriented Community A community is an interacting group of various species and abiotic things that live within the same location. Each community is different due to being comprised of unique organisms and inanimate objects. The basic unit of community relies on survival. As stated by de Waal, the primate community is a prime example which displays how we perform innate behaviors to ensure our survival. The next level of community is the goal oriented community. Goal oriented communities strive to bring about change in their communities whether it be for better or worse. The goal oriented community can be allotted into different categories. One type of an ambitious community is that of associations as described by Tocqueville. The other goal oriented community is that of the revolutionary community. This community attempts to raise awareness about injustice found in a community and urges that members of the community fight to make injustice cease to exist. The final stage of community ends with the community that cares for the environment as a whole. Not only does it care for the living thingsthat reside in the community, but it appreciates the nonliving things that are found in the community as well. The nature loving community recognizes that everything within the community is necessary to have and to care for. Each of these communities start with having the need for survival but become more complex until they are able to incorporate love in their communities. The foundation for most ... • 3. What Is The Formal Analysis Of The Bauhaus The Bauhaus is a school that opened in 1919 by Walter Gropius. The school focused on bringing together all forms of art and design making all faculties equal in importance. At first the school was influenced by The Arts and Crafts movement but after 1923 the focus shifted to mechanized production. Moholy Nagy, the director of the Bauhausfrom 1923 onward, wanted new solutions for the problems of industrialization by means of mass production and educating the new generation on how to create such solutions. The students, from diverse backgrounds and interests, had to pass a preliminary course before being admitted into the school and then were part of workshops where they would do practical work (1923 Bauhaus Online [sa]). The Bauhaus believed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another example of this characteristic of being clear and to the point without distracting the eye would be the lack of tonal and textual variation in the design. Schmidt has made this poster as simple and clear as possible so that his message could be understood the first time it was viewed and so it would give a timeless overall impression. The poster was well designed and clearly indicates all the aspects of the new Bauhaus s design characteristics. This is why it is a perfect example of what should be used to exhibit the new school, so the public can be aware of the changes made in the school beforehand. Schmidt, as an educator at the facility, fully understands and believes in the new Bauhaus aims and shows this in his amazing designs. • 4. Chemy Called Al Book Summary The book that I read was the Chemy called Al book. The book was most about a young adventures girl that had an adventure in a place, she was trapped in a place where she learns about elements and how they help her get out. It talked about what the elements in the periodic table do and what they are use and some examples of the stuff made for it. The bookis telling us about the states of matter and how they are use and what they use for with the ways people interact with them. 1 Julie learns about the periodic table and how it is use and learns the states of matter and what they are. The first one or one of the state of matter is solids. Solids are matter that have weight or shape of an object that takes up space on earth, because It is something stable that cant move that easy. The book and the stuff we have gone over in class are about the same like a solid is atoms that take up space on earth just like Julie is trapped in Science land and hasn t been before and trapped trying to figure her way out. Some example of solids is ice cubes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Gas is some what air in my opinion because you cant see it but you can hear it, you can feel air from the breeze. You can also breathe it because we breathe air for our lungs. People, animals, plants and machines use gases or convert them into something they can use for their survival. People use gases from or air from trees that they covert and we use to breathe, we also use gases from natural resources for energy. Animals rely on air because plants need it to make food and animals eat the grass or their host that does. We use machines that use gases like propane that burns like gas to make machines function right. An example of gases is air, propane. This relates to the work we have done in class in some ways because it talks about some of the experiments we have done with balloons and air and how much is needed for an object to operate and work ... • 5. Art Analysis Of Thomas P. Anshutz s A Rose The image I chose for this paper is titled A Rose. The image is a painting painted in oil on a canvas and was painted by Thomas P. Anshutz. The painting was produced in Pennsylvania during 1907. I researched this image on ARTstor by using the term realism and then I narrowed down my search by selecting a filter to return paintings as well as setting the geography filter to North America. The painting belongs to The Metropolitan Museum of Art s collection and is on display in the American Wing in the gallery of Images of Woman from 1880 to 1910. I selected this painting because the colour contrast of the pink dress against the dark background caught my eye. I also found the expression of the young woman to be interesting. The painting depicts a young woman in a pink dress sitting down. The background is very dark but three things can be made out by the viewer. Starting with the ground plane of the painting, an orange carpet can be seen covering the entire floor. It is patterned and contains yellows, greens and blues. The cool toned colours are darker in hue than the warm toned. Secondly, there appears to be a cabinet or a desk lining the wall behind her. The wood of the cabinetry is carved with detailed designs and is made of a dark stained wood. Despite the dark background a single red rose can be seen on top of the cabinetry. The rose looks freshly picked and shows no signs of withering in its petals. It is painted in a muted red colour that allows it to stand out on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The novel was written by John Steinbeck and turned into a film by Elia Kazan in 1955. Kazan s purpose was to show how the Bible could influence media and culture. The film was released on April 10th, 1955 and featured James Deanas Cal, Richard Davalos as Aron, Julie Harris as Abra, Raymond Massey as Adam, and Jo Van Fleet as Kate. East of Eden is set in the time before and after America joined World War I. The Trask family, who lives in Salinas Valley, is trying to make it through the tumultuous times. Cal is the youngest son and sees himself as the black sheep of the family, due to his tendency to be bad and rebellious. Cal is always competing with his older brother Aron, who seems to be perfect in every way. Aron is their father s favorite and Cal desperately wants their father s love and affection. After his father loses most of his money trying to ship lettuce surrounded by ice to New York, Cal decides to invest into the crop of beans and makes a small fortune. • 13. Southwest Porters Five Forces Essay EWMBA 299 Competitive Strategy Southwest Airlines Introduction The domestic US airline industry has been intensely competitive since it was deregulated in 1978. In a regulated environment, most of the cost increases were passed along to consumers under a fixed rate of return based pricing scheme. This allowed labor unions to acquire a lot of power and workers at the major incumbent carriers were overpaid. After deregulation, the incumbent carriers felt the most pain, and the floodgates had opened for newer more nimble carriers with lower cost structures to compete head on with the established airlines. There were several bankruptcies followed by a wave of consolidation with the fittest carriers surviving and the rest being ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The minimum efficient scale was not very high since airlines could choose to compete in a few markets, and costs were more or less proportional to the number of flights offered and the number of markets the airline wanted to operate in. The main consideration for profitable entry seemed to be the ability of airlines to fill their airplanes above the breakeven point. In an industry fraught with price competition, brand identity and reputation did not have significant value either. In the airline industry, exit costs are not very high either. Planes could be easily redeployed to other markets, or sold off, and gates and landing rights could be sub leased to other carriers. Substitutes There are a number of substitutes to air travel, especially over short distances. These include taking other modes of transportation such as driving, taking the train etc., or not traveling at all. The use of technology (like WebEx, NetMeeting, video conferencing etc.) that facilitates remote virtual collaboration is becoming a good substitute for business air travel as well. Given that widespread protests resulted in no significant changes, the outlook for the Bahraini government instituting changes on their own for the betterment of human rightsis unlikely. I have suggested international pressure as a possible solution to many of the rights violations we have discussed, but for several reasons, this has not happened, and is unlikely to do so. The government passed a law that banned outdoor work for the 4 peak heat hours of the day during summer, as the average temperature is 104 degrees Fahrenheit during that time15. If temperatures increase, Bahrainis who are unable to afford proper housing and cooling systems are at higher risk for heat stroke and heat related health complications. Outdoor workers will also face increased risks, and the government may have to expand their laws to protect these people. Since many of these outdoor workers are migrant workers, it is unclear if the Bahraini government would take immediate action to protect their well being. Bahrain needs larger international actors to reduce their emissions, while international actors need to pressure Bahrain to stop their violations of human rights. I see a mutually beneficial solution. If Bahrain stopped their human rights abuses, and even marginally increased democratic participation, they might have more power to convince international actors to reduce emissions. On top of threatening to deny base and port access to the US s 5th Fleet, these changes could convince the US to both reduce emissions themselves and lobby for other high emissions states to reduce as well. This would solve Bahrain s human rights issues, even those stemming from climate change. There are a few reasons why this is a pipedream instead ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Her only flaw was the birthmark in the shape of a hand placed on her cheek. Instead of focusing on all her Georgiana s perfections, Aylmer only focused on one of her flaws, the birthmark. Aylmer constructs a statement about her birthmark saying that, It was the fatal flaw of humanity which Nature, in one shape or another, stamps ineffaceably on her productions, either to imply that they are temporary and finite, or that their perfection must be wrought by toil and pain. (Meyer 345) Aylmer s abhorrence for Georgiana s imperfection is a representation of evil in this story, he talks about Nature or God and how spiritual he is during the whole story; but his key focal point shifts to her imperfection. This is a representation of evil for the actuality that she carried one physical defect and that is all Aylmer could focus on. United Law Of Public International Law Report to International Law First concerning the fear that the concept of state sovereignty in public international law is frequently overlooked by politicians, the media and others. Introduction. International Law First has asked for a report concerning the impact of public international law on the concept of state sovereignty in the UK. This report will examine the limits that public international law imposes on state sovereignty and the effect that this has on the balance of power within the UK and internationally. This report will explain how state sovereignty is impacted by public international law and the way in which public international law is incorporated into the UK s domestic law. A conclusion will be reached as to the level of impact that public international law has on the UK s state sovereignty and the necessity of this impact for the successful functioning of the UK within the international community. Incorporation of public international law into UK domestic law. Unlike many European states the UK operates a dualist approach to the incorporation of public international law into domestic law. In dualist systems the ratification of international treaties by the government does not have any effect on domestic law until the treaties are given effect by further legislation. In the light of a dualist approach UK laws can only be created by Acts of Parliament. Furthermore, the Constitutional Reform Act 2010 introduced legislation enabling Parliament to ... Hunger is when something is missing or absent. It can be emotionally, physically, physiological or spiritual. We are always hungry for something in life and as an adult, you are never truly full. We are constantly striving for more and to fulfill all types of hunger. This is perfectly described in the of Ian Frazier s article, Hungry Minds. Frazier describes different people that are involved with the soup kitchen and they are all there because they are hungry, some for food but majority is there to fulfill a deeper hunger. Father Rand Frew was the one who suggested to start the soup kitchen because he wanted to feed his need of starting something that would make a difference. I can relate to Father Rand Frew in this aspect because I am too hungry for that. I want to make a difference and right now in my life, I feel deprived of this. That is why I am here at Warner Pacific College to fulfill that hunger. I am exhausted of my current job as a billing specialist for a long term care pharmacy. The work I do every day tends to get overlooked. I am looking to get the Atta boy! or the pat on the back but all I get right now is a paycheck and a cold room to sit in. I need to see that my work is making a difference to keep myself motivated and strive to work harder. I want to eventually have that job that makes me feel good as a person and make me feel proud. His leather boots kicked dust up from the arena floor as he moved in a slow circle, trying to get his back to the sun and diminish my line of sight. It was a good trick, but there was just one problem with that. I knew what he was trying to do. Even if I could keep him from blinding me, that hulking axe of his would do some major damage. The Common Definition Of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus The common definition of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is glucose or carbohydrate intolerance with onset, first recognition or first diagnosis during pregnancy; it is a common complication in pregnancy that typically ends a few weeks after birth (Coustan, 2013; Zhang Ning, 2011; Brown, 2011). Although the causes of GDM are not known, it appears that hormones from the placenta lead to insulin resistance in the mother; this insulin resistance combined with an inadequate insulin secretion to compensate for its resistance has a central role in the pathophysiology of GDM, which can then lead to hyperglycemia and gestational diabetes mellitus (Zhang Ning, 2011; Blake, Munoz, Volpe, 2014). When filing a protest at the agency level there are two different deadlines. You can either file before the closing of the bid or after. If the protest is received before the award, no award with be issued until the protest is resolved. If the larger company decides to file their protest at the GAO level, the same rules apply. They need to have a clear and concise format and it must be in writing. When filing at the GAO level the protest needs to be detailed, factual and legal grounds for the complaint. There needs to be proof of prejudice as the basis. The contractor will also need to provide the agency with a full copy of their protest or complaint. The question comes down to how the Old Testament and the New Testament would be formed into one narrative to accomplish the goal of enhancing the understanding of the mission of the church. To accomplish this task, I believe Christopher Wright, in his book, summarized the task very well. If one looks at the Bible from an actual story line the flow from one Testament to the other does exactly that; it flows. The Old Testament points to the New Testament and the New Testament builds upon the Old Testament. The four major sections of the biblical story are Creation, Fall, Redemption in History, and New Creation . Frequently they seem to terrorize her with their openings; They (Tulips) are opening like the mouth of some great African cat..15. In her poem Lady Lazarus Plath confirms her strong faith in rebirth and resurrection: Out of the ash I rise with my red hair and I eat men like air16. It further makes obvious her repulsion on men. She believes that Suicide, Death and Resurrection may fetch her eternal happiness. That is why, it seems, she loves death. She further has strong conviction in resurrection to slay all men traitors in the world. She suggestively shows her bitterness on her husband for his desertion from her life. Naturally all men and women have the sense of repugnance to their mates while facing desertion. Divorce is very common in the West but Plath could not digest Ted Hughes separation and his loveless life with her. Women folks expect true love from men. When they find the love of man is only corporeal and fake, they turn brutal and commit suicide or choose to kill their husbands at least in next birth. Before 1788, indigenous Australians did not suffer from diseases such as cardiovascular disease, smallpox, measles or influenza. Living in remote areas makes this even more of a struggle as there are fewer employment opportunities, higher costs of goods and services, poor education and poor infrastructure. Therefore, if ATSI people living in remote areas are already living on a tight budget this makes it extremely difficult for them to afford suitable healthcare. Instead of finding a sailing route to India and Asia, he instead came upon America. He mistook America for India and named the citizens he found Indians . He then proceeded to sail back to the Spanish monarch where they decided to fund three more voyages (CCHC). However, one question over time has arisen. Why would a Spanish monarch support Italian born Columbus instead of Spanish explorers? The answer is God, glory, and gold. There are many reasons as to why the Spanish monarchy funded Columbus, but it all can be divided into three main reasons: God, glory, gold. The Spanish monarch is rich in gold and is a super power country (QINW). By funding Columbus, the monarchy would lose virtually nothing. Actually, if successful, the results would be vice versa in the long run. The cost to fund Columbus voyage will only cost Spain the amount of money it would cost to host a small noble at court. However, if Columbus was successful, merchants will save money as they will not require as much resources to make the trip.
