We have spent some unbelievable time in Brazil, Nicaragua (X 5), Honduras (X 5), Africa, and
Hungary. We are rolling to Mexico this June, and I am looking forward to serving in Haiti in the very
near future. During these trips, my ministry focused on women and children. I have been called to be a
carpenter, painter, roofer, journalist, photographer, teacher, evangelist, pharmacist, concrete mixer,
story teller, clown, softball/soccer coach, and singer to name a few. God called me to be an

Beatriz Milhazes African American Art Style
In this overview, I will be comparing Beatriz Milhazes art to African art. Beatriz Milhazes is from
Brazil; she was born in 1960. She does paintings, prints, and architectural installations (Guggenheim).
Her artwork is mainly geometric figures sort of like kaleidoscope. Most of her work is based on
European and Brazilian art. Henri Matisse, Piet Mondrian, and Talsila do Amaral are three artists that
influenced her to do art (Guggenheim). In the 90 s, Milhaze started doing a method of collaging art
and this became her technique; most of paintings had geometric shapes, floral patterns, and used very
bright colors(Widewalls). African patterns are very different from Milhaze s artwork. African patterns
came from architecture, artifacts, masks and textiles (Contemporary African Art). Most of the patterns
are repetitive, for instance, chevron and zigzag patterns are examples but geometric shapes are also

his mother, Alice Ward, is his manager and his stepbrother brother, Dicky Eklund, is his trainer. Dicky
is unreliable and Alice is very resilient. The two were very controlling over Micky and feel they have
some sense of supremacy of him. However, even though Micky is working hard to try and make the
best of his situation, he keeps getting blows that knock him down. They come in from the left, the
right and all other directions, the hits that he receives seem to be the consequences of having Dicky
and Alice as part of team. Despite this and his latest fight being unsuccessful, Micky still gets back in
