Playing Violent Video Games On Children
Playing Violent Video Games
When kids get bored they turn to their PlayStation four, Nintendo DS, or Xbox and play their
favorite games. According to the journal of the American Medical Association, Several peer
reviewed studies have shown that children who play M rated games are more likely to bully and
cyberbully their peers, get into physical fights, be hostile, and show aggression towards their peers.
(Carter 32) Video games are known as time wasters to parents, and worse, these games can corrupt
the brain. Furthermore, when playing violent video games kids can attach the game into their
personal life. Some games can teach kids wrong values. Playing violent video games can cause
aggression, bullying, and depression in kids.
Aggression is caused by playing violent video games. When aggression is built up in a kid is
caused by the difficulty of the game. When the difficulty of the game is increased so are the
levels. Then, as the levels increase, becoming angry, means that the game has the player. Always
about wanting more than what they already have. Next, when the kid can t reach the goal
causing them to lose will make the children try again and again causing their adrenaline to speed
up due to the hyperactive role causing aggressive behavior to the player. In addition, aggressive
behavior can be caused by winning too. This can affect kids who have an addiction to playing
violent video games, because when kids win they seem to try to show off to their opponent player.

The most well known of the parks in London, was Vauxhall Gardens founded in 1661 and closed
in 1859. These parks consisted of booths, entertainment, fireworks displays and some rides such as
introduction to the modern railroad. The parks grew to accommodate the expectations of their
customers. Rides became a required part of the pleasure garden and by 1896, there were 65 such
pleasure parks in London.
In 1895 Sea Lion Park in Coney Island, Brooklyn opened its doors. It was the first permanent
amusement park in North America. This park was one of the first to charge admission to get into

Steeplechase Park, the first of three major amusement parks that would open in the Coney Island
area, the combination of the nearby population center of New York City and the ease of access to
the area made Coney Island the embodiment of the American amusement park. Theme parks are

Essay On Becoming A Neonatal Nurse
My twin cousins were born two months early and my aunt and uncle weren t able to hold them. The
only personal touch they felt, for the first week of their life, was that from the neonatal nurses
caring for them while they were in the neonatal intensive care unit. After experiencing the hardship
and the uncertainty my familywent through, I decided to become a Neonatal Nurseso I can provide
comfort, hope, and support when other families have to endure the same difficulties. As a sixth
grader, I was able to confidently tell others that my dream job would be a Neonatal Nurse and
that I would study as long as it took, to achieve just that. Not only that, but in tenth grade I was
determined to earn my minor in Spanish and become bilingual. I know that this would be an
extremely helpful skill to know in this line of work and that I would overall help me become more
well rounded.
I want to go to college because of the chances that will present themselves in my future. These
opportunities will benefit me in different aspects of my life. For instance, I will be able create a
support group of lifelong friends that will be there for me during hard times, and I will gain
essential knowledge that will help advance me professionally and academically. My first step is to

to protect and help improve the physical conditions of the infants or toddlers that need medical
support. Neonatal nurses gave my family comfort, hope, support, and love during my premature
cousins stay in the hospital. My dream is that through this job, I will be able to impact families
lives, much like the nurses who impacted

Genetic Diversity In America
Genetic diversity is the variation of heritable characteristics in genetic makeup present in a
population of the same species i.e. variation in the nucleotides, genes, chromosomes, or whole
genomes of organisms. The species with greater genetic diversity has a chance of long time
survival. Knowledge of diversity in a germplasm is very important for the improvement of crop
plants through breeding program (Hallauer and Miranda Filho 1988). Assessment of genetic
diversity is essential to understand the relationship among and within the landraces, as well as their
genetic structure. It is also valuable for setting priorities for genetic conservation, parental selection
and as a source of favorable traits.
(Ferriol, Pico et al. 2004) analysed 47 accessions of C. moschata featuring the morphological
characters which revealed considerable variability, comparable to that found in different C.
moschata centers of diversity. Molecular analysis through AFLP (amplified fragment length
polymorphism) markers which analyze neutral genetic diversity and SRAP (sequence related
amplified polymorphism) markers, which amplify gene regions both showed a genetic diversity in
accordance with the morphological variability. With both markers clustered the genotypes
according to their geographical origin: Central America, South America, and Spain, which
suggested the existence of two independent domestications in both American areas, and/or
introgressions from related species. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Donald Trump Blame
Unless you live under a rock, I am sure you are aware of President Donald Trump s ongoing feud
with the media. It always seems as if Mr. Trump is to blame for everything... but can you really
blame him for not wanting the media around when all they do is give him bad press? During the
election and even after he won the election the media will just not give him a break. There is
always something he has done wrong or something he said that offends someone, well guess what
you are going to be offended your whole life, and not just by Donald Trump. Are you going to write

Trump is an angel but neither is anyone else. He has said things that are a little out there but
people blow them way out of proportion. Like that time that Jewish guy said he was going to ask a
simple question. His question took about three minutes to explain and that was before Mr. Trump
interrupted him. The guy was bringing up important issues but, like always, he was basically
blaming Mr. Trump for every issue. Saying there have been 48 bomb threats at synagogues across
the United States . Now that may be true, and it is an issue, but how is that Mr. Trumps fault? Mr.
Trump had to go and defend himself like any person would and he said Number one, I am the
least anti semitic person that you have ever seen. That is the line everyone is freaking out about.
The reason everyone is freaking out over that comment is because they think he has been very
rude to Jewish people but the people freaking out about this probably could not give you one
rude comment he has said about Jewish people. To see for myself I was doing a little research to
see if he has every said anything about Jewish people because if he has you know it would be out
there because anytime the media can make Mr. Trump look bad they jump of that chance. Now I
found comments regarding Jewish people but nothing offense. Isn t it crazy that if one person says
something to someone you don t like you will agree with them even if there is no proof of them

The Effect Of The Arab Spring On The Muslim Brotherhood
In this paper, I will be explaining the concept of revolution, its definition, and application in Egypt
and Tunisia. I will further discuss the achievement that took place since the revolutions in both
countries and finally will conclude by demonstrating the effect of the Arab spring on the Muslim
brotherhood.
Revolution tend to occur when the basic needs of a population are not met by its government,
when there is a violation of basic human rights, when there is no hope, when people are oppressed,
when people are at some sort of disadvantage.
According to Steven Pincus, in Rethinking Revolution: a New Tocquevillian Perspective, revolution
can be defined as a rapid, judgmental and violent domestic change in the dominant values and
myths of a society, in its political institutions, social structures, leadership, and government
activities and policies . It is a fundamental change in power: a violent movement to overthrow an
existing regime that results in major changes in the society. Revolutions have occurred throughout
history, but its purpose, duration and method have varied from one country to the other.
No one would have ever thought that there would be an uprising in Egypt against autocratic rule, as
rulers of Egypt were smart dictators who knew well enough how to control their people. The
regime itself provided the calendar day for the day of Rage , where all sectors of the society were
participating. It started on January 25th as a medium size demonstration but

History, Family Structure, And Culture Essay
Belize has been historically known for its tourism for several of years. This first started dating
back about 2000 years ago when the Ancient Mayans were introduced. We have learned so much
about their culture and history thanks to years of research and the help of archaeologists
excavating several Mayan ruins in Belize. Although the number of Mayans still alive today has
greatly reduced they still had a major impact to our culture as shown through the many challenges
they had to overcome and the discoveries that they made. Some of the topics that will be
addressed will be geography, history, family structure, and culture. The Mayans are known for
their diversity as they are divided into three different regions; the northern highlands, the central
lowlands, and the southern highlands. The overall name for this was called Mesoamerica which
spreads across five different countries. These countries were Belize, Honduras, Guatemala,
Mexico, and El Salvador. There are different groups that make up the Mayans. According to
Lafond (1996), Some of the largest Maya groups are found in Mexico, the most important of these
being the Yucatects, the Tzotzil, and the Tzeltal. Specifically, in Belize, they are comprised of three
Mayans groups; the Kekchi Maya, the Yucatec Maya, and the Mopan Mayans. The Kekchi Mayans
immigrated from San Pedro in Guatemala then to Belize where they occupied eight villages,
specifically in the Toledo district. The Yucatects migrated from South Mexico and

On the 23 of September 2017 around 7:30pm I went and saw Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
preform their Soul 2 Soul tour at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. I have never seen
either of the two preform live in concert only on shows like the Country Music awards until this
date. Having been a fan of country musicand growing up in a family who has always been fans of
this genera of music, I have listened to them both since and have been a huge fan of them each
since. I wanted to see them live not only being a fan of the two artists separately, but also this is

It seemed at the start of the show they sang songs that where at the start of their music careers
and progressed through their career. They sang each song as a duet no matter if it was a Tim or
Faith song. My favorite song of the night was Tim s Stay Humble and Kind and Faith s I need
you , which was an encore song. During the encore everyone thought that the show was over, but
Tim came out into the Stadium seat and Faith walked through the floor seats and they sang. The
special effects added even more to the experience. I would go back and see the same exact show
if I had the chance. The crowd was a very respectful crowd. For me it did not seem to be the
stereotypical crowd that you would imagine at a summer concert that this was. People where up
and singing and dancing to the music and where having an overall good time listening to the
music. The crowd ranged from little kids to adults, but everyone was almost in unison with the
music, it s a weird thing to experience. From where my family where sitting we did not see that
much alcohol being drank and even less intoxicated people. With this you could really enjoy the
show without having to deal with annoying drunk fans. If you accidently bump into someone they
where respectful and apologized. You could talk to your family and Tim and Faith would encourage
you to sing along to the music by stopping mid song and you would sing without them.

The Abolitionist movement was not a direct result of the Second Great Awakening; concepts of

Why Is Mungo Man Important
Mungo Man Kenan Bozkus Focus question Why is Mungo Man an important person in
Australian and Aboriginal history? Mungo man is one of the most important discoveries made
in Australia which was believed to have lived approximately 40 thousand years ago. His remains
were discovered in New South Wales Lake Mungo in 1972. The discovery of Mungo Man shows
that the Indigenous population in Australia has been around for over 40 thousand years. It shows
the earliest evidence of human existence in Australia. The body of Mungo Man was buried with
ochre and his hands crossed and this shows that these traditions were performed over 40 thousand

23 November 2016 Pride: Good or Evil Pride is defined as deep satisfaction in one s own personal
achievements. So is it a shameful trait or a necessary one? In Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe,
Dracula Untold directed by Gary Shore, and Oedipus the King by Sophocles we observed tragic
heroes whose tragic flaws consisted of hubris. Pride is an important trait because it can be a trait
that defines a character. Pride is an essential human trait that we must have in order to ... Show more

Oedipus greatly proved his confidence produced by pride as shown in the quote, Here I am
myself you all know me, the world knows my fame: I am Oedipus. (264)The quote show his
obvious confidence in himself, as not many people refer to themselves as world famous. He is not
joking when he refers to himself and all his greatness. Okonkwo
Gaytan 3 also proves pride can lead to confidence with this quote, Okonkwo was well known
throughout the nine villages and even beyond. His fame rested on solid personal achievements. As
a young man of eighteen he had brought honor to his village by throwing Amalinze the Cat.
Amalinze was the great wrestler who for seven years was unbeaten, from Umuofia to Mbaino.
(Shmoop.com). These achievements surely mad Okonkwo very confident in himself. This did not
only make him confident in himself as a person, but also as a warrior. Pride is also directly related
to building confidence.
So is pride a good or a bad trait? It is an amazing trait! Having pride allows a person to reach great
things. It can serve as a motivator, a confidence booster, leadership enhancer, and many more
things. All of the tragic heroes presented proved that pride is a necessary and vital human

Value Of Hrm Essay
The value of HRM to business organisations
Section 1: Literature Review
The approach to the employment of people experienced a major shift from traditional personnel
management towards human resource management (HRM) in 1980s, when the deflation and
recession crashed into the infrastructure of employment. After that shift, the employees were more
likely assumed as valuable assets and a key source of competitive advantage (Marchington and
Wilkinson, 2002), and the effective management of resourceful humans tended to be seen as a
crucial approach to improve organizational performance through the strategic deployment of a
highly committed and capable workforce using an array of cultural, structural and personnel
techniques (Storey, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If it is not large enough, then it is hard to trigger a change in work performance. As Lawler (1990,
cited in Marchington and Wilkinson, 2002, p. 501) suggested that variable pay less than 10 per
cent of base salary would be not attractive in PRP scheme.
An organization introduces and develops a PRP programme generally involving these main stages:
setting objectives for rewarding employees according to their performance; analyzing the
circumstances of organization, including its culture and the type of employees; determining who
should be participated in line managers, team leaders, employees and trade unions; considering
methods of performance appraisal; carrying out the plan and assessing its effects. PRP should be
schemed and conducted with great care and organizations have to be flexible to adjust the plan
timely for constantly changing environment and the feedback from staff (Armstrong, 2002). The
following part will describe two organizations conducting PRP scheme.
Section 2: Case Study Description
In this section, two pieces of empirical researches are introduced for the further analysis in next
section. The first case of Finbank is regarded as an unsuccessful case of PRP system. And the
second case of NHS has been chosen for two reasons: Firstly, though NHS is not exactly a business
organization, the PRP of NHS was set by commercial oriented objectives (Bach, 1994, cited in
Dowling and Richardson). Therefore NHS still bears mush resemblance of

Naturally Occurring Radiation
Uranium:
1: Where is this substance most likely found, and how abundant is it?
Uranium can be found in a lot of places in small quantities such as rocks, soil, and water. However,
its harder to find uranium in amounts that are worth the trouble.
2: What type of decay does this substance undergo, and how harmful can it be to those exposed?
Naturally forming uranium undergoes radioactive decay by emission of an alpha particle and
gamma radiation. As the decay continues, it releases radiation. This is an extreme health issue that,
in large amounts, can cause cancer and liver damage.
3: What can be done to protect against the radiation produced by this isotope?
To avoid harmful uranium, people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Is it used in the medical, industrial, scientific, or other fields?
Uranium can be used to produce nuclear energy, it s renewable, and it means less pollution which in
turn helps the environment.

The use of iodine 131 in the medical field
1:What careers or fields use this type of radiation, and why is it used?
Doctors use Iodine 131. Iodine 131 can be used to treat someone with hyperthyroidism. It can also
be used to treat thyroid cancer. It can also be used as a type of medical imaging.
2:What are the benefits and risks associated with using this material, and how common is its use?
This material is used quite frequently as it can heal sick people. There are a few risks, but it s
mostly little things. A sore throat feeling can be a side effect.
However, there can be some more serious ramifications such as a loss of the thyroid gland all
together.

How To Prevent Prison Population
The prison population rises each year. This increasing trend has been directly linked to the
reoccurring arrests of released prisoners. Some people believe that there is not an answer to fixing
this problem. However, research and studies show that there is an answer to the reoccurring
problem. Even with this conclusion, there continues to be many opinions on what should or should
not be done to prevent the prisonpopulation from continuing to rise on a yearly basis. Most
people who are incarcerated will only be there for a period of time before release. The majority of
the prison population will be released at some point. Some will serve shorter sentences than others.
Only a small percentage of prisoners make up the population that

Small Group Reflection
In the summer of 2013, I participated in the Calvin College Entrada Scholar program, a four week
intensive program for racial ethnic minority high school students to experience college learning and
living while earning college credit. Creating an international community was a huge theme in this
program, students were not allowed to have their computers, games, nor be on their phones.
Another way that the program encouraged community was with small group devotion with students
floormates and designated floor RA.
I remember one week, the theme within the small groups was sharing our narratives. My small
group consisted of a total of nine female students and our RA. Our discussion lasted about 2 hours
that night mainly because our RA established a safe and open environment, she was someone we
loved and trusted within a short time of knowing her.

not saying that we were not empowered, being in that group alone after hearing everyone

from there, after opening up. I personally could not look at others the same way after hearing their
stories. A solution would had been a follow up small group discussion before departing from the
program, but with only small group meetings once a week it is difficult to implement this idea. In
addition, I understand that our RA did not have training in social work, mentoring, or psychology,
she was a Speech Path major. In the small group the most we could do was sympathize with each

Construction Industry Council ( Cic )
Steel has been one of the key materials for a modern society from the past to these days, while its
manufacture is one of the main contributors of carbon emission in the world. In order to drive the
construction industry to apply more sustainable materials, Construction Industry Council (CIC) has
launched a voluntary and Hong Kong based Carbon Labelling Scheme for Construction Materials
covering Cement, Reinforcing Bar, and Structural Steel. Steel, being a very significant material in
building industry in Hong Kong, has a considerable carbon footprint throughout its life cycle.
There are two different routes of steel making, Basic Oxygen Steelmaking (BOS) and Electric Arc
Furnace Steelmaking (EAS).
Basic Oxygen Steelmaking is a primary steelmaking method, in which convert carbon rich
molten pig iron into steel due to oxidizing action. Oxygen was blown into the melt under a basic
slag. It is the most powerful and effective steel making method. The converter used for steel
making is called as Basic Oxygen Furnace. There is about 67% of steel in the world is produced
using Basic Oxygen Steelmaking. The process of Basic Oxygen Steelmaking was developed in
1948 by Robert Durrer and commercialized in 1952 1953 by Austrian VOEST and Г–AMG. The
modern furnace takes a charge of up to 350 tons iron and converts it into steel within 40 minutes.
The advantage of using Basic Oxygen Steelmaking is cost efficient, as it doesn t burn fuel.
However, it requires the separate creation of

Modeling Cancer Cell Growth Of Cancer
Modeling Cancer Cell Growth When researching mathematics in nature, one thing that my teacher
had repeated was to find something that interested me. Wanting to become a biomedical engineer
and having suffered many losses in my family due to cancer, exploring cancer was the obvious
choice. Cancer is the leading cause of all human deaths in the world, and the financial costs of
cancerhave been estimated at $1.16 trillion US dollars per year as of 2010. The development of
mathematical models of tumorcells is important to the growth kinetics, which may lead to the
development of successful treatment strategies.
Because of the great variance in malignant neoplasms (the cause of cancer), research has not been
great enough to save the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For this exploration, I decided to try to model the growth rate of tumor cells through calculus in
order to discover the advantages and disadvantages of certain models, including the exponential
model, the Gompertz model, and the Universal Law.
Premise of the Exploration
For this exploration, I will be using the data on the growth of tumor size found by a 1970 mouse
mammary study (citation needed). This data was collected over the course of 40 days for two
different types of cancer. This data has been used to create the Gompertzian model and the
Fundamental Law, which I will use later in this exploration.

used to describe tumor growth is the exponential growth model.

A Teacher Who Makes A Spark Within A Student
Teachers are amazing to have, they can help you out with mostly anything you need. In certain
ways they are all different no matter if they are just teachers they are just like super heroes
people watch in movies. Although there will be many teachers in my life and other students
there will always be that one teacher who makes a spark within a student. Although I may had
many close friendships the one that I personally favor the most is Mrs. Jones. Most teachers have
the aspect of kind, caring, respectful, or supposed to have these average aspects of a teacher. Mrs.
Jones takes is further than any teacher I could ever remember could. From just taking certain
aspects like these and expressing it every single day is a miracle.
Moreover, as I was a young child I wouldn t get as high grades as I would today, it was hard for
me to understand more of how things worked and what I needed to improve with. In the old
neighborhood schools most teachers wouldn t care about students and just give them work and
tests and that would it for the day. As soon as I got into school#7 it would be harsh leaving back my
old friends at School 14. As I gained knowledge here I improved in many of my skills but I wasn
t classified as an AP Student like my mother wanted, she wanted even more from me and decided
to make me be more interested in school. As the years passed it s now 7th grade and when I went

Primary Borrower

A mortgage opened by two people is commonly referred to as a joint mortgage.

Relationships are all about making a commitment. After saying the I do s and committing to each
other, couples may want to take the step toward homeownership, requiring another type of
commitment: the mortgage. When two people open a mortgage together, one is named the
primary borrower and the other the secondary borrower. Determining who will be the primary and
secondary borrowers depends on the type of joint mortgage opened and whether the borrowers are
co owners or co signers. Both have an obligation to pay the mortgage debt and collection actions are
taken against both if they default on the loan.
Co Owners
In joint mortgages where the two people are married or cohabitating and will share ownership of
the home, the primary borrower is designated based on credit score and income. Lenders have
done away with the antiquated method of automatically assigning the husband as primary
borrower, assuming he makes the most money and has a better credit score. Now the primary
borrower is the person with the best credit score, because a higher credit score equals a better
interest rate. If both borrowers have similar credit scores, lenders will list the person with the
higher income as the primary borrower.
Co Signers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

have no ownership interest in the property being purchased in these situations, and they do not
appear on the deed to the home.

The Eyes Were Watching God
At its first development and publishment, African American literature and works were originally
dedicated to the expression of their plight from slaves, to a second class, and eventually first
class citizens. However, many authors have been able to drift away from that cause and began
to express the importance of identity for individuals and how trials and experiences through life
can add to or detract from someone s personal character and define them as the best that they can
become. Author s of these works had usually conveyed a theme of being able to adopt a new
identity through the experiences that a character is able to face through their life. A well written
example of this would by in the story of Their Eyes Were Watching God, as the main character,
Janie, finds new loves in her life and with each new relationship is able to adopt an identity or add
onto her persona, as she adjusts to her new roles, such as becoming a mother, a wife, and an
independent woman. As she is married to her first husband, Logan, she works with him on the
farm performing daily duties, such as milking the cows (Morrison 73) or tilling the land (79).
However she didn t lovehim as a person, but she was promised by both Logan and her
grandmother then she would grow to love him (65), so as it was the role at the time to be the
faithful wife beside her husband. She eventually loses her sense of individuality as she begins to
venture less and less from the farm and begins to spend more

Policy In Pakistan
US policy in Pakistan largely centres around expending military aid to combat regional terrorism
and facilitate peace in Afghanistan. However, it has hardly achieved any tangible results.
The Pakistani army, which supersedes it s elected government, diverted these funds towards anti
India terror factions for covert proxy wars due to it s historic rivalry with India. These terror
factions carried out the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008, attracting censure from Pakistan s civilians
and international condemnation at a time when US strategic convergence with India was growing.

The fundamental problem was a lack of leverage : Pakistan had no interest in a peaceful
Afghanistan but the US had no other partner to turn to.
Eventually, the Pakistan army lost control over some of these terror groups, who linked up with al
Qaeda, Talibanand more recently, the Islamic State, across the porous Afghanistan border. In light
of pressure from the US and it s growing non state actors, the Pakistan military attempted to curb
these groups but failed. Consequently, these groups pledged alliance to one of al Qaeda, Taliban or
the Islamic State and amped up terror attacks within Pakistan. This reached the tipping point in
December 2014, when members of the Tehrik i Taliban Pakistan killed 243 children in an army
school. In response, the Pakistani army killed 3500 terrorists of the Tehrik i Taliban Pakistan and
other internal terror factions in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) near the Afghanistan
border, over the last two years. Simultaneously, the Pakistani media blamed the US for Pakistan s
thriving internal violence and anti American sentiment amongst civilians grew.
While this was a major counter terrorism initiative, Pakistan has an episodic history of reverting to
proxy terrorism. It continues to harbour anti India terror groups, which could be refocused towards
India, once tensions with the Tehrik i Taliban subside and Pakistan could resume double crossing
the US. However,

with its most talented golfers playing the highest ranked course contributes to the amazing history

What made golf so difficult back then was the poorly designed and constructed clubs and balls.
The balls were made of greatly compressed feathers wrapped with horse hide, which could only
be hit about ten times before tearing. Most of the club heads were from the wood of apple

Pathophysiology In Luke 17
FROM OUTSIDE THE CAMP TO WITHIN THE KINGDOM:
NARRATIVE CHRISTOLOGY IN LUKE 17:11 19
In Luke 17, Jesus is somewhere along his journey to Jerusalem when he encounters ten lepers in
need of healing. As is expected, he heals them and sends them away. However, the story takes a
sudden shift toward the unexpected. One man returns. The man s identity is even more unexpected.
Luke halts the story to inform readers that he is a Samaritan, a foreign breed. The Samaritan falls at
the feet of Jesus, worshiping God, and his faith saves him.
On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered a
village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance and lifted up their voices, saying,
Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. When he saw them he said to them, Go and show yourselves to
the priests. And as they went they were cleansed. Then one of them, when he saw that he was
healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; and he fell on his face at Jesus feet, giving
him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus answered, Were not ten cleansed? Where are
the nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner? And he said
to him, Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well (Luke 17:11 19 ESV). It is clear that
this pericope contains much more than a simple miracle story or lesson in gratitude. It gives rise to
questions about Jesus s location, salvation, and identity. This narrative proves to be the

Design A Wireless Sensor Nodes Using Fpga For Fire...
The aim of this paper is to design a wireless sensor node using FPGA for fire monitoring and
control. FPGA is used in the wireless sensor node design in order to enhance the processing
capabilities of the system to meet the target applications. The sensor nodes in a wireless sensor
network are normally microcontroller based which are having inadequate computational capacity
related to various applications. This paper describes the selection, specification and comprehension
of a wireless sensor nodeusing the field programmable gate array (FPGA) based architecture for
an early detection of hazards (e.g. smoke and fire). The FPGAs in its place are more proficient
for complex computations in compare to microcontrollers. Another benefit of using FPGA is also
due to its reconfigurable characteristic without changing the hardware itself. The node is
implemented using Spartan 3A FPGA board from Xilinx. A design of simple hardware circuit
with different type of fire sensors enables every user to use this wireless fire security system. The
FPGA will constantly supervise all the sensors and if it senses any security trouble then the FPGA
will send the information to the PC central monitoring station wirelessly using Zigbee technology.
The system is based on the Lab VIEW software.

Butler s Writings In The Classroom, By Judith Butler
Anyone who has ever attempted to read any literature written by gender theorist, Judith Butler,
knows how much of a struggle it is to decode her main points. Even after taking three gender studies
courses, reading multiple articles, and analyzing portions from her books, I still have a difficult
time comprehending just exactly what Judith Butleris stating. One cannot simply read her writing
once and expect fully understand her points. If you say can, then you are lying. I would describe
Butler s writing style as elegantly confusing. Her vast vocabulary and placement of words is so
exquisite, that her message seems to dissipate. The trick to understanding Butler (at least the trick
that has somewhat worked for me) is reading through her writings repeatedly and intensely
examining every single word she wrote. In this essay, I reflect on Judith Butler s writings and
express how I understand those writings in relation to my own life experiences. Our we assigned
our genderat birth, or do we perform one based on the values that we have learned? Butler
explores this question in her article, Critically Queer. According to Butler, gender is not based
off of our biological sex at all; rather gender is performative (Pg. 21, Par. 4, 1993). This is one of
Butler s theories that always seems to find its way into Gender Studies courses and confuses the
heck out of me; because there is a difference between gender being performed and gender being
performative. Saying gender is a

Noise Pollution Essay
Noise Pollution
Abstract No one on earth can escape the sounds of noise an unwanted, disturbing sound that causes
a nuisance in the eye of the beholder. Noise is a disturbance to the human environment that is
escalating at such a high rate that it will become a major threat to the quality of human lives. In the
past thirty years, noise in all areas, especially in urban areas, have been increasing rapidly. There are
numerous effects on the human environment due to the increase in noise pollution. In the
following paper, the cause and effects of noise pollution will be presented in some detail. Slowly,
insensibly, we seem to accept noise and the physiological and psychological deterioration that
accompanies it as an inevitable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This type of exposure to noise does not have to be as loud as a gun being fired; it can be as simple
as a person shouting across the room. The type of hearing loss is any degree from partial to
complete hearing loss. This loss, usually, is permanent and is not satisfactorily corrected by any
devices such as, hearing aids. The loss is caused by the destruction of the delicate hair cells and
their auditory nerve connections in the Organ of Corti, which is contained in the cochlea
(Bugliarello, et al., 1976). Every exposure to loud noise destroys some cells, but prolonged
exposure damages a larger amount of cells, and ultimately collapses the Organ of Corti, which
causes deafness.
Most of society is now aware that noise can damage hearing. However, short of a threat that
disaster would overtake the human race if nothing is done about noise, it is unlikely that many
people today would become strongly motivated to do something about the problem. Yet, the
evidence about the ill effects of noise does not allow for complacency or neglect. For instance,
researchers working with children with hearing disorders are constantly reminded of the crucial
importance of hearing to children. In the early years the child cannot learn to speak without special
training if he has enough hearing loss to interfere effectively with the hearing of words in context

Corporate Social Responsibility Theories: Mapping the Territory
Elisabet Garriga, ` Вґ Domenec Mele
ABSTRACT. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) п¬Ѓeld presents not only a landscape of
theories but also a proliferation of approaches, which are controversial, complex and unclear. This
article tries to clarify the situation, mapping the territory by classifying the main CSR theories and
related approaches in four groups: (1) instrumental theories, in which the corporation is seen as
only an instrument for wealth creation, and its social activities are only a means to achieve
economic results; (2) political theories, which concern themselves with the power of corporations

` Вґ Elisabet Garriga and Domenec Mele questioned as CSR seems to be a consequence of how
this relationship is understood (Jones, 1983; McMahon, 1986; Preston, 1975; Wood, 1991b). In
order to contribute to a clarification of the field of business and society, our aim here is to
map the territory in which most relevant CSR theories and related approaches are situated. We will
do so by considering each theory from the perspective of how the interaction phenomena between
business and society are focused. As the starting point for a proper classification, we assume as
hypothesis that the most relevant CSR theories and related approaches are focused on one of the
following aspects of social reality: economics, politics, social integration and ethics. The inspiration
for this hypothesis is rooted in four aspects that, according to Parsons (1961), can be observed in
any social system: adaptation to the environment (related to resources and economics), goal
attainment (related to politics), social integration and pattern maintenance or latency (related to
culture and values).1 This hypothesis permits us to classify these theories in four groups: 1. A

that this is its sole social responsibility. Only the economic aspect of the interactions

clarinetwas originated a long time ago and it has an interesting manufacturing process.
The clarinet originated around 2700 B.C. in Egypt. The Egyptians created this instrument called the
zummara (sometimes called the memet). The zummara was a single reed instrument, much like the
modern day clarinet. Different than the clarinet, the zummara had two tubes instead of one. The
first true single reed instrument was called the chalumeau. The chalumeau ... Show more content on

First they they cut logs to 3 4 feet long then they have to season the wood. To season the wood
they either have to keep it in open air for several months or they dry it in a kiln. Then the logs
are split and sawed to the correct lengths of the clarinet body pieces. The body pieces look like
long rectangular blocks and pyramidal shapes for the barrel. These pieces are called billets. When
the manufacturer receives the billets, workers inspect the lot. Then skilled workers place the
billets on a borer, which drills a hole lengthwise through the center of each piece. (Clarinet). After
they drill it, the wood then is shaped like a cylinder. Then they make the wood smooth and they
season the wood again. When the wood is seasoned again they then cut it into the size of the actual
clarinet. Then they paint it with black dye. On the plastic models, they make the body parts for the
clarinet through injection molding. Then they melt plastic pellets and put them in the molds. Then
they may have to fix it up a little unless it came out of the mold perfectly. The next step is boring
the holes. They use different drill bits for this because not all the holes are the same size. Then they
begin to construct the keys. They usually use casts for this step. When the keys are finished they
have put the pads on them. Then they mount the keys on small posts and put them on the clarinet.
They then put the final touches on the clarinet

Rafael Trujillo In The Time Of The Butterflies
Most stories that are told from the point of view of a single narrator portray a clear antagonist that
may dislike, conflict with, or pose a threat to the person who is narrating the story. In In The Time
of the Butterflies, by Julia Alvarez, the most apparent antagonist in the story is the ruthless dictator
of the Dominican Republic, Rafael Trujillo. However, Trujillo was only seen as a threat to society
by the people that wanted to get rid of him, the people that he was making suffer for his own
benefit. If one was to look at this issue from the government s perspective, Rafael Trujillo would be
the evident protagonist of the story, even despite his atrocious ruling expertise. Trujillo
demonstrates his antagonism through his unrelenting violations of human rights in the Dominican
Republic during the mid twentieth century. He was quite notorious for taking young women away
from their families, and, if they did not comply, killing them and their families. Basically, he
destroyed everything that stood in his way by killing every last... Show more content on

They were the leading symbols of an underground movement of which the main goal was

says, brace yourselves now. He says... My only two problems are the damn church and the Mirabal

them tortured to death. The sisters antagonism towards the government regime, and Trujillo s
antagonism towards his people eventually resulted in all of their

Iago Character Analysis Essay
The path of life requires the direction of morality. Without this guidance, it is easy to be led astray
down dark tunnels of egocentrism. Shakespeare reveals these many flaws of humanity through his
plays. Within the interactions between the dramatic characters, he is able to construct the faults that
are relatable in everyone even to this day. In one of his plays, Othello, Shakespeare uses the
manipulation from Iagoin order to gain the revenge he desired. He is betrayed the position he
desires and stops at nothing to get what he wants. As he begins to shape other characters into the
pawns he needs to play with, he quickly learns to feed off the power he obtains. Yet within the
destruction of others, Iago manages to also destroy himself.... Show more content on

This is the development of Iago s unending need to see others suffer. He never had a complete plan
to obtain the revenge that he desired, but through his developing intentions and adapting
manipulation he was able to continue down his path unnoticed.
In order for Iago to gain what he desired required many well developed skills, but with those
abilities that led him came equally powerful faults. As a part of the human condition, he was
unable to realize these flaws in order to correct them for his success. One of these primary
defects is his ever spreading ability to gain power. This quality would work cohesively with his
other skills if it were not corrupt. Once he obtains this desire, it is unable to be suppressed
because Iago is unable to see a reason to. This is why he will never feel fulfillment in his journey
because once his job is finished, he will continue to desire more. Demand me nothing. What you
know, you know. From this time forth I never will speak word says Iago as he attempts to use the
last thing he has against Othello in order to put himself in control. (5.2.302 303) There will never
be enough for him to attain, so he will never feel complete with the things he has done. Iago decides
to put himself in control no matter the situation. Even after he had lost everything that mattered in
his life, he still tries to find satisfaction in the putting

produced by an electrical impulse which was caused by a stimulus. The impulse causes the muscle

The Problem Of A Program Funding For Public Services
There is a crisis in California today creating a stalemate in decision making and solving of any
problems the state faces. There are so many problems and so many solutions, that no progress
can be made properly without conflicting interestests and opinions pausing any headway that
might have been made. Most people believe that California is stuck where it is because of rules
and regulations that are great on their own, but terrible when combined. The result of this crisis
is a downwards spiral towards lower funding for public services and a seemingly insurmountable
problem with budgeting. Some changes have been made to help the budget, but they still aren t
enough due to the many elements that cause this crisis to be so complicated. The element that
causes a program funding to go down is the fact that a two thirds majority is required for any
increase in taxes to occur. This is with every member, not just those that are present and voting.
While in the past, this has not posed as great of a problem, currenty the majority of the
Republican Party are against any tax increases, creating a deadlock where no tax can be increased
due to no way to get a two thirds majority in a vote. The problem with the lack of tax increase,
though, is that the burden of the state budgeting crisis ends up effecting lower income residents that
rely on public services. In 2012, a Democratic supermajority of seats were won, meaning they could
finally raise taxes wihtout any Republican support.

Lexicon Of Lies
In Caroline Jack s essay A Lexicon of Lies, she explores the complex line between propaganda and
advertising. Within this blurred line, there are aspects of the definition that overlap and make it
hard to distinguish between the two. The explanation of these differences depends on the particular
words chosen and the way in which the material is conveyed. Advertisement and propagandaare
terms that are both linked to the promotion of objects and ideas in a specific way to attract a
certain group of people. Propaganda is the promotion of viewpoints and advertisingis the promotion
of goods or services. While both forms are used to persuade an audience in some form.

Misinformation results when false information is given out of error. This area can even include
mistakes made due to time constraints. For news reporters it is crucial to be the first one with the
most current big story. With time a key factor, it becomes common to make mistakes such as
misprints or misinterpretation of the situation. The example that Jack uses to distinguish the two
from one another is when the Daily Express tweeted false information. It could be determined that it
was misinformation due to the reaction that followed the mistake. After time revealed the true
events that took place in the situation contradicted the tweet the tabloid wrote, the tweet was

Perspective Of Perspective
Perspective is the way that people perceive things in the world around them. Common influences
include the way people grow up and how they live their lives. Perspectives are always changing,
and different events in life can cause them to be a certain way. The way we build perspective
depends on who we are as people and they are very important. They affect the way we process
information and make decisions about things in everyday life. Another strong influence to
perspectiveis emotionand memory. To what extent do emotion and memory falsify history? Emotion
and memory are not reliable enough in themselves, but they can help us draw conclusions and form
our perspectives. Emotion and memory can taint history with personal opinions and feelings,...

Often, we absorb most the select information that we have access to without realizing it. As a result,
people may remember events different than they happened without realizing it. It is even common
that the memory itself changes the more it surfaces in our minds. When we remember situations,
we are not remembering the event. We are actually remembering the last time we remembered it, so
we will not end up remembering it the same way. At the same time, our mind changes a memory
every time we think. This could lead to the publishing biased information. Historians must have to
come to a common decision or agreement when documenting history. They must talk through what
they want to document and then decide what to write down. There are strengths of historians
having different perspectives. For example, they explore the many different sides of something
together. There is more information to sort through, even enough to fill in gaps that others failed to
bridge over. Different sides to a story can help people to understand. There are also weaknesses to
historians having different perspectives. Disagreements can cause confusion and conflict. It makes
it harder to know what the truth is, if everyone seems to have different truths. Information could be

Proposed Program/Solution: In kansas city there firemen are making $47,550 annually on
average and start out at $26,100 and a veteran firefighter gets paid $69,160 annually(How Much

The Causes And Effects Of Fossil Fuels
Humanity has had thousands of years on Planet Earth to indulge in the many resources Earth has to
offer. Over the years of trial and error within industry, innovation, and creation, humanity began to
destroy the planet without recognizing the dangers that would come to be in later years. Causes and
effects of pollutionbecame increasingly aware to the population, as respiratory diseases began to
rise in numbers. Pollution is the product of human industry. Innovators are forced to find new ways
to keep up with the rapid growth of the population by any means resulting in the deterioration of
Earth and its exhaustible resources. The environment and the population has suffered from many
negative influences that must be prevented in order to ensure the existence of future generations.
Industry and the population is highly dependent upon fossil fuels. Though greener alternatives to
the burning of fossil fuels have been presented, none have been nearly as efficient enough as the
burning of fossil fuels. Emission testing for gas powered forms of transportation have helped to
reduce excessive carbon dioxide levels into the atmosphere, though total emissions increased in the
United States from 1990 to 2007 (Rogers). The burning of fossil fuels has remained the most
efficient source of energy for years. As the population continues to grow, an increased dependency
on fossil fuels will also continue to grow. According to a source from Bizfluent from the U.S

The Importance Of Screen Acting
Screen Acting Assignment.
There are many skills in the performing arts world, and as a professional actor, you will need to
acquire these skills in order to become the best actor you can be.
To start with, it is important that an actor follows the next two professional acting rules. The first
rule is to punctual. It is important to be punctual, as you may be needed on the set to perform or
rehearse lines before shooting. It could be argued that being punctual is one of the most important
rules an actor should follow, and without punctuality, an actor or performer won t be cast in
performances or hired. Therefore, punctuality is a key skill an actor should learn, with techniques
helping to keep punctuality. For example, setting multiple alarms, or resetting your sleep schedule
have been proven to help people maintain their punctuality.
The second rule is being professional. As an actor, you may be needed to inspire or empower
others, and by not acting professional or being immature, you are letting down your own work,
the people who got you where you are now, but you are also letting down yourself, in the sense
that you aren t living to your full potential. It could be argued that being professional increases the
rate of employability as casting agents will be more impressed with the attitude and behavior the
actor is expressing. Finally, it is important to act professional as you can promote respect, therefore
losing the lack of gender and sexual equality, and reducing the stigma around certain character roles.
You will need to learn about the specific techniques known as technical skills. An example of
technical skills would be stage left and stage right. These skills are the technical name for the
sides of a stage. Actors use this term as they believe it is a more technical and professional than
the sides of a stage. Therefore, the technical terms are skills that should be used on stage as it will
make the actor sound a lot more professional. It could be argued that knowing the technical terms
stage left and stage right allow the actor to act in a completely better manner, therefore resulting in
acting and looking more professional. Always remember that stage left and right are from the actor

The Five Steps Of The Federal Budget Process
I. Introduction The federal budget process is a lengthy and complex process that involves
monitoring, adjusting, and reporting on the current year s budget. The budget process is put in
place to ensure there is enough funds for many things such as wage war, provide housing, and
maintain streets (Rubin 2014). Some of the actors are Bureau Chiefs, The Executive Budget
Office, and Chief Executive Office. It all begins with the Federal Budget Process and the
President s proposed budget, while directly involving the execution process. The budget execution
process aims to reduce the risk of overspending, but when the budget is nearing completion, and it
seems overspending will occur, budget sequestration comes into play. However, if not used
correctly, sequestration could do more harm than good to our economy and cost important
programs their funding. Misuse could also lead to the waste of time and money, which does not
benefit the warfighter or the taxpayers. II. Federal Budget Process There are five steps in the
federal budget process and it involves many different actors. The first step of this process involves
the President submitting a budget request to Congress. This budget request includes the way the
President best sees money being spent, it provides suggestions. The second step is the House and
Senate passing budget resolutions, they do so by casting a vote on their budget resolutions. The
third step is the House and Senate subcommittees marking up appropriation

Netflix s Dominance Of Our Homes And Screens
Abstract
Netflix started the campaign on a positive note by capturing a larger customer base with DVD by
mail business. The success was short lived due to increasing logistics and inventory cost. Also with
the advent of digital era, DVD by mail fell out of favor. Netflix figured out the loophole and decided
to tap into the online streaming market with content marketing. With exciting new features, constant
updates and recent expansion of customer base by providing its streaming services in India, Netflix
has only grown into a juggernaut.
NETFLIX
Netflix originally was a DVD rental company. The ebb and flow of red paper wrapped DVDs

But Netflix wasn t the only company in the streaming market, it faced competition from Amazon
Prime and Amazon Instant Video, both of which were offered by Amazon.com due to which it
didn t have the meaningful first mover advantage in the market leading to erosion of its profit
margins. Netflix was again forced to evolve its business model and differentiate itself in order to
capture value and regain profitability. The evolved business model focused on content marketing.
Here are few ways the video streaming and DVD by mail giant is winning at content marketing.
PERSONALIZATION
Almost a decade and a half of experience in the DVD rental business, it had given the company time
to develop one of the most sophisticated recommendation engine that existed on the internet, which
offers extremely precise content to consumers through its Recommended For You sections on the
website and app. This allowed the users greater engagement with the content based on their
individual interests and allowed Netflix to market specific content to the customers.

Effects Of Digimon On Anime
Digimon, is a rather well done series, for one, it s not a Pokemon rip off, as many people
assume), so let s get that out of the way, it s not Pokemon, so let s treat it like such. But, that s off
topic. The franchise is one of the popular ones, considering how many seasons and series, the
television series had. So we need to talk about the impact Digimondid on Anime, as I m sure it did
SOMETHING. Now the reason why I choose this topic, is that this television show was popular
when I was little. Not only that, but very few people actually know about the magna version of
Digimon, because this adaptation of its magna s counterpart so obscure, compared to the anime,

  • 7. Genetic Diversity In America Genetic diversity is the variation of heritable characteristics in genetic makeup present in a population of the same species i.e. variation in the nucleotides, genes, chromosomes, or whole genomes of organisms. The species with greater genetic diversity has a chance of long time survival. Knowledge of diversity in a germplasm is very important for the improvement of crop plants through breeding program (Hallauer and Miranda Filho 1988). Assessment of genetic diversity is essential to understand the relationship among and within the landraces, as well as their genetic structure. It is also valuable for setting priorities for genetic conservation, parental selection and as a source of favorable traits. (Ferriol, Pico et al. 2004) analysed 47 accessions of C. moschata featuring the morphological characters which revealed considerable variability, comparable to that found in different C. moschata centers of diversity. Molecular analysis through AFLP (amplified fragment length polymorphism) markers which analyze neutral genetic diversity and SRAP (sequence related amplified polymorphism) markers, which amplify gene regions both showed a genetic diversity in accordance with the morphological variability. With both markers clustered the genotypes according to their geographical origin: Central America, South America, and Spain, which suggested the existence of two independent domestications in both American areas, and/or introgressions from related species. ... During the election and even after he won the election the media will just not give him a break. There is always something he has done wrong or something he said that offends someone, well guess what you are going to be offended your whole life, and not just by Donald Trump. His question took about three minutes to explain and that was before Mr. Trump interrupted him. The guy was bringing up important issues but, like always, he was basically blaming Mr. Trump for every issue. Saying there have been 48 bomb threats at synagogues across the United States . Now that may be true, and it is an issue, but how is that Mr. Trumps fault? Mr. Trump had to go and defend himself like any person would and he said Number one, I am the least anti semitic person that you have ever seen. That is the line everyone is freaking out about. The reason everyone is freaking out over that comment is because they think he has been very rude to Jewish people but the people freaking out about this probably could not give you one rude comment he has said about Jewish people. To see for myself I was doing a little research to see if he has every said anything about Jewish people because if he has you know it would be out there because anytime the media can make Mr. Trump look bad they jump of that chance. • 10. The Effect Of The Arab Spring On The Muslim Brotherhood In this paper, I will be explaining the concept of revolution, its definition, and application in Egypt and Tunisia. I will further discuss the achievement that took place since the revolutions in both countries and finally will conclude by demonstrating the effect of the Arab spring on the Muslim brotherhood. Revolution tend to occur when the basic needs of a population are not met by its government, when there is a violation of basic human rights, when there is no hope, when people are oppressed, when people are at some sort of disadvantage. According to Steven Pincus, in Rethinking Revolution: a New Tocquevillian Perspective, revolution can be defined as a rapid, judgmental and violent domestic change in the dominant values and myths of a society, in its political institutions, social structures, leadership, and government activities and policies . It is a fundamental change in power: a violent movement to overthrow an existing regime that results in major changes in the society. Revolutions have occurred throughout history, but its purpose, duration and method have varied from one country to the other. No one would have ever thought that there would be an uprising in Egypt against autocratic rule, as rulers of Egypt were smart dictators who knew well enough how to control their people. The regime itself provided the calendar day for the day of Rage , where all sectors of the society were participating. It started on January 25th as a medium size demonstration but ... • 12. History, Family Structure, And Culture Essay Belize has been historically known for its tourism for several of years. This first started dating back about 2000 years ago when the Ancient Mayans were introduced. We have learned so much about their culture and history thanks to years of research and the help of archaeologists excavating several Mayan ruins in Belize. Although the number of Mayans still alive today has greatly reduced they still had a major impact to our culture as shown through the many challenges they had to overcome and the discoveries that they made. Some of the topics that will be addressed will be geography, history, family structure, and culture. The Mayans are known for their diversity as they are divided into three different regions; the northern highlands, the central lowlands, and the southern highlands. The overall name for this was called Mesoamerica which spreads across five different countries. These countries were Belize, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and El Salvador. There are different groups that make up the Mayans. According to Lafond (1996), Some of the largest Maya groups are found in Mexico, the most important of these being the Yucatects, the Tzotzil, and the Tzeltal. Specifically, in Belize, they are comprised of three Mayans groups; the Kekchi Maya, the Yucatec Maya, and the Mopan Mayans. The Kekchi Mayans immigrated from San Pedro in Guatemala then to Belize where they occupied eight villages, specifically in the Toledo district. The Yucatects migrated from South Mexico and ... Having been a fan of country musicand growing up in a family who has always been fans of this genera of music, I have listened to them both since and have been a huge fan of them each since. During the encore everyone thought that the show was over, but Tim came out into the Stadium seat and Faith walked through the floor seats and they sang. The special effects added even more to the experience. I would go back and see the same exact show if I had the chance. The crowd was a very respectful crowd. For me it did not seem to be the stereotypical crowd that you would imagine at a summer concert that this was. People where up and singing and dancing to the music and where having an overall good time listening to the music. The crowd ranged from little kids to adults, but everyone was almost in unison with the music, it s a weird thing to experience. From where my family where sitting we did not see that much alcohol being drank and even less intoxicated people. With this you could really enjoy the show without having to deal with annoying drunk fans. If you accidently bump into someone they where respectful and apologized. You could talk to your family and Tim and Faith would encourage you to sing along to the music by stopping mid song and you would sing without them. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Mungo man is one of the most important discoveries made in Australia which was believed to have lived approximately 40 thousand years ago. His remains were discovered in New South Wales Lake Mungo in 1972. The discovery of Mungo Man shows that the Indigenous population in Australia has been around for over 40 thousand years. It shows the earliest evidence of human existence in Australia. The body of Mungo Man was buried with ochre and his hands crossed and this shows that these traditions were performed over 40 thousand years ago and passed down from generation to generation. Steel, being a very significant material in building industry in Hong Kong, has a considerable carbon footprint throughout its life cycle. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; and he fell on his face at Jesus feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus answered, Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner? And he said to him, Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well (Luke 17:11 19 ESV). It is clear that this pericope contains much more than a simple miracle story or lesson in gratitude. It gives rise to questions about Jesus s location, salvation, and identity. This narrative proves to be the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Design A Wireless Sensor Nodes Using Fpga For Fire... The aim of this paper is to design a wireless sensor node using FPGA for fire monitoring and control. FPGA is used in the wireless sensor node design in order to enhance the processing capabilities of the system to meet the target applications. The sensor nodes in a wireless sensor network are normally microcontroller based which are having inadequate computational capacity related to various applications. This paper describes the selection, specification and comprehension of a wireless sensor nodeusing the field programmable gate array (FPGA) based architecture for an early detection of hazards (e.g. smoke and fire). The FPGAs in its place are more proficient for complex computations in compare to microcontrollers. Another benefit of using FPGA is also due to its reconfigurable characteristic without changing the hardware itself. The node is implemented using Spartan 3A FPGA board from Xilinx. A design of simple hardware circuit with different type of fire sensors enables every user to use this wireless fire security system. The FPGA will constantly supervise all the sensors and if it senses any security trouble then the FPGA will send the information to the PC central monitoring station wirelessly using Zigbee technology. The system is based on the Lab VIEW software. Keywords FPGA; Wireless Sensor Network (WSN); Temperature sensor; Smoke sensor; Fire sensor; Zigbee; LabVIEW. • 37. Butler s Writings In The Classroom, By Judith Butler Anyone who has ever attempted to read any literature written by gender theorist, Judith Butler, knows how much of a struggle it is to decode her main points. Even after taking three gender studies courses, reading multiple articles, and analyzing portions from her books, I still have a difficult time comprehending just exactly what Judith Butleris stating. One cannot simply read her writing once and expect fully understand her points. If you say can, then you are lying. I would describe Butler s writing style as elegantly confusing. Her vast vocabulary and placement of words is so exquisite, that her message seems to dissipate. The trick to understanding Butler (at least the trick that has somewhat worked for me) is reading through her writings repeatedly and intensely examining every single word she wrote. In this essay, I reflect on Judith Butler s writings and express how I understand those writings in relation to my own life experiences. Our we assigned our genderat birth, or do we perform one based on the values that we have learned? Butler explores this question in her article, Critically Queer. According to Butler, gender is not based off of our biological sex at all; rather gender is performative (Pg. 21, Par. 4, 1993). This is one of Butler s theories that always seems to find its way into Gender Studies courses and confuses the heck out of me; because there is a difference between gender being performed and gender being performative. Noise is a disturbance to the human environment that is escalating at such a high rate that it will become a major threat to the quality of human lives. In the past thirty years, noise in all areas, especially in urban areas, have been increasing rapidly. There are numerous effects on the human environment due to the increase in noise pollution. In the following paper, the cause and effects of noise pollution will be presented in some detail. Slowly, insensibly, we seem to accept noise and the physiological and psychological deterioration that accompanies it as an inevitable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This type of exposure to noise does not have to be as loud as a gun being fired; it can be as simple as a person shouting across the room. The type of hearing loss is any degree from partial to complete hearing loss. This loss, usually, is permanent and is not satisfactorily corrected by any devices such as, hearing aids. The loss is caused by the destruction of the delicate hair cells and their auditory nerve connections in the Organ of Corti, which is contained in the cochlea (Bugliarello, et al., 1976). Every exposure to loud noise destroys some cells, but prolonged exposure damages a larger amount of cells, and ultimately collapses the Organ of Corti, which causes deafness. Most of society is now aware that noise can damage hearing. However, short of a threat that disaster would overtake the human race if nothing is done about noise, it is unlikely that many people today would become strongly motivated to do something about the problem. Yet, the evidence about the ill effects of noise does not allow for complacency or neglect. For instance, researchers working with children with hearing disorders are constantly reminded of the crucial importance of hearing to children. In the early years the child cannot learn to speak without special training if he has enough hearing loss to interfere effectively with the hearing of words in context ... The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) п¬Ѓeld presents not only a landscape of theories but also a proliferation of approaches, which are controversial, complex and unclear. This article tries to clarify the situation, mapping the territory by classifying the main CSR theories and related approaches in four groups: (1) instrumental theories, in which the corporation is seen as only an instrument for wealth creation, and its social activities are only a means to achieve economic results; (2) political theories, which concern themselves with the power of corporations in society and a responsible use of this power in the ... In order to contribute to a clariп¬Ѓcation of the п¬Ѓeld of business and society, our aim here is to map the territory in which most relevant CSR theories and related approaches are situated. We will do so by considering each theory from the perspective of how the interaction phenomena between business and society are focused. As the starting point for a proper classiп¬Ѓcation, we assume as hypothesis that the most relevant CSR theories and related approaches are focused on one of the following aspects of social reality: economics, politics, social integration and ethics. The inspiration for this hypothesis is rooted in four aspects that, according to Parsons (1961), can be observed in any social system: adaptation to the environment (related to resources and economics), goal attainment (related to politics), social integration and pattern maintenance or latency (related to culture and values).1 This hypothesis permits us to classify these theories in four groups: 1. It is typically used in band ensembles. It is made out of either plastic or wood. The reed is a part of the clarinet that it can t be played without. The clarinetwas originated a long time ago and it has an interesting manufacturing process. The clarinet originated around 2700 B.C. in Egypt. The Egyptians created this instrument called the zummara (sometimes called the memet). The zummara was a single reed instrument, much like the modern day clarinet. Then the logs are split and sawed to the correct lengths of the clarinet body pieces. The body pieces look like long rectangular blocks and pyramidal shapes for the barrel. These pieces are called billets. When the manufacturer receives the billets, workers inspect the lot. Then skilled workers place the billets on a borer, which drills a hole lengthwise through the center of each piece. (Clarinet). After they drill it, the wood then is shaped like a cylinder. Then they make the wood smooth and they season the wood again. When the wood is seasoned again they then cut it into the size of the actual clarinet. Then they paint it with black dye. On the plastic models, they make the body parts for the clarinet through injection molding. Then they melt plastic pellets and put them in the molds. Then they may have to fix it up a little unless it came out of the mold perfectly. The next step is boring the holes. They use different drill bits for this because not all the holes are the same size. Then they begin to construct the keys. They usually use casts for this step. There are so many problems and so many solutions, that no progress can be made properly without conflicting interestests and opinions pausing any headway that might have been made. Most people believe that California is stuck where it is because of rules and regulations that are great on their own, but terrible when combined. The result of this crisis is a downwards spiral towards lower funding for public services and a seemingly insurmountable problem with budgeting. Some changes have been made to help the budget, but they still aren t enough due to the many elements that cause this crisis to be so complicated. The element that causes a program funding to go down is the fact that a two thirds majority is required for any increase in taxes to occur. This is with every member, not just those that are present and voting. While in the past, this has not posed as great of a problem, currenty the majority of the Republican Party are against any tax increases, creating a deadlock where no tax can be increased due to no way to get a two thirds majority in a vote. The problem with the lack of tax increase, though, is that the burden of the state budgeting crisis ends up effecting lower income residents that rely on public services. • 49. The Importance Of Screen Acting Screen Acting Assignment. There are many skills in the performing arts world, and as a professional actor, you will need to acquire these skills in order to become the best actor you can be. To start with, it is important that an actor follows the next two professional acting rules. The first rule is to punctual. It is important to be punctual, as you may be needed on the set to perform or rehearse lines before shooting. It could be argued that being punctual is one of the most important rules an actor should follow, and without punctuality, an actor or performer won t be cast in performances or hired. Therefore, punctuality is a key skill an actor should learn, with techniques helping to keep punctuality. For example, setting multiple alarms, or resetting your sleep schedule have been proven to help people maintain their punctuality. The second rule is being professional. As an actor, you may be needed to inspire or empower others, and by not acting professional or being immature, you are letting down your own work, the people who got you where you are now, but you are also letting down yourself, in the sense that you aren t living to your full potential. It could be argued that being professional increases the rate of employability as casting agents will be more impressed with the attitude and behavior the actor is expressing. Finally, it is important to act professional as you can promote respect, therefore losing the lack of gender and sexual equality, and reducing the stigma around certain character roles. You will need to learn about the specific techniques known as technical skills. An example of technical skills would be stage left and stage right. These skills are the technical name for the sides of a stage. Actors use this term as they believe it is a more technical and professional than the sides of a stage. Therefore, the technical terms are skills that should be used on stage as it will make the actor sound a lot more professional. It could be argued that knowing the technical terms stage left and stage right allow the actor to act in a completely better manner, therefore resulting in acting and looking more professional.
