Essay about THE TRAIL OF TEARS
Quantie s weak body shuddered from a blast of cold wind. Still, the proud wife of the Cherokee chief
John Ross wrapped a woolen blanket around her shoulders and grabbed the reins. Leading the final
group of Cherokee Indians from their home lands, Chief John Ross thought of an old story that was
told by the chiefs before him, of a place where the earth and sky met in the west, this was the place
where death awaits. He could not help but fear that this place of death was where his beloved people
were being taken after years of persecution and injustice at the hands of white Americans, the proud
Indian people were being forced to vacate their lands, leaving behind their homes, businesses and
almost everything they owned while traveling to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many Americans saw this act as the government sanctioning of brutality and inhuman treatment of the
Indian people and actively protested its passing.
President Jackson thought of the Indians as children who needed his guidance and justified their
removal as a way of protecting the Indians from the hatred and harassment of the white Americans and
as a measure that would allow them to govern themselves in a new land. A passage from the Removal
Act reads as follows, no state could achieve proper culture, civilization, and progress, as long as
Indians remained within its boundaries . This statement gives a more accurate description of how the
American Congress and the President thought of all Indians in America and the Removal Act gave
them the justification to further American expansion into Indian tribal lands.
By the late 1830s, more than 40 treaties were signed by what was then called the Five Civilized
Tribes, which consisted of the Cherokee, Choctaws, Chickasaws, Creeks, and Seminoles. Many of
these tribes exchanged over 40,000 miles of land in seven states. Three quarters of Alabama and
Florida, as well as parts of Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky and North Carolina became
property of the United States after they were traded for lands west of the Mississippi river, which is
now Northern Oklahoma. These treaties were signed by the Five Tribes in hopes that the American
government would allow them to retain some of their indigenous lands,

Powers Of The United States Constitution
Mia Stagnitta
Mrs. Tobin
American Government 7
17 November 2014
Enumerated Powers The United States Constitution consists of twenty seven expressed or enumerated
powers. These powers were carefully constructed by the Framers of the Constitution in hopes that the
government would remain fair in its law making ways. The Legislative Branch is comprised of the
Senate and House of Representatives, commonly referred to as Congress. It known of as the law
making body of the United States government with the help of the president or the Executive Branch.
Congress must exercise or follow the powers stated in the Constitution. Three enumerated powers that
have made and are still making significant impacts on the United States are the Necessary and Proper
Clause, Commerce Clause, and the power to declare war. The Necessary and Proper Clause is stated in
Article I, Section 8, and Clause 18 of the Constitution. This Clause is commonly referred to as the
Elastic Clause as well as several other names: the Sweeping Clause, the Coefficient Clause, and the
Basket Clause, and. These names are all appropriate due to the fact that they all represent the meaning
of the clause itself. It is accredited as the Elastic Clause because it stretches the power of Congress;
thus, giving the Legislative Branch the ability to increase their power (Namtvedt). Although there are
a plethora of enumerated powers such as this one, this clause enables Congress to stretch the
expressed powers

Contact Zones In Public Schools
One of the most evident disputes in current educational structures, especially within the American
teaching system, is that standardization creates a uniform curriculum which hinders the liberty of
thinking. Therefore, classrooms are merely instilled with homogenous thoughts, instructing in a
robotic manner to equally distribute knowledge for every student. From elementary school to college,
we are urged to take standardized tests to advance onto the next level based off of a definitive score
that suggests qualification (Ravitch xxiii). However, this academically inhibits those who aren t
strategically successful with these assessments. Those who score above the criterion must stay in line
with the general standard. This rigid curricular prescription ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

This is where culturally contrasting individuals clash together in a social space, such as a college
lecture hall. The university where Pratt worked at offered a course called Cultures, Ideas, Values
which taught about the Americas and other countries histories, rallying up an assorted student body
(Pratt 39). A diverse class with a culturally inclusive curriculum led to the creation of a safe house ,
which are social and intellectual spaces for all cultures to have shared understandings (Pratt 40). If
every school vitalized contact zones , then Rodriguez and other students could succeed academically
while having integrity for where they came from making school a safe house . Cultural diversity
promotes free thinking since students do not lose their ethnic virtues and avoid shifting into robotic
containers to fill since their environments are more inclusive towards other ideas. Open ended
discussions and dialect open a multitude of doors since education is no longer restricted towards one
mindset. With this in effect, various dispositions can be embraced, thus encouraging students to foster
their own sense of reality and what they constitute as the real

Relationship Between Buyer And Buyer
There are two main types of buyer and seller relationships. The buyer is the person or organisation that
purchases products from suppliers. A buyer could be a manufacturer purchasing raw materials or a
customer buying a finished product from a retailer. The relationship between the buyer and seller can
be either short term (once off or low commitment purchases) or long term, involving regular purchases
based on established agreements. The success of a good buyer seller relationship is that they
understand each other and have a good fit . But who are the partners in the supply chain relationship??
Raw material source The process starts with a supplier of raw materials that either mines, harvests or
collect the raw materials for manufacturer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
That value can be based on services, quality, on time deliveries, returns management, or some
combination of these. It s what makes buyers increase their percentage of purchases from individual
suppliers for the long run. This provides a double edged benefit for suppliers: when a buyer increases
its purchase of a needed material or product or goods, this not only enhances the chosen supplier s
bottom line, but also negatively impacts the competition. Further, this increased collaboration between
supply chain buyer and seller leads to another valuable outcome: increased efficiencies. The Longer
the Collaboration, the Lower the Costs One of the greatest benefits from long term supply chain
collaboration (and one that consistently delights operationally oriented managers) are the cost savings
that result from routine procedures over the life of the relationship. When buyers and suppliers begin a
relationship, there interactions often are fraught with inefficiencies and expensive company legacy s ,
adding to the cost of doing business in year one. In year two, however, procedures typically become
more streamlined, issues in IT are worked through, and interpersonal relationships between
organizations become more

Impact Of The Renaissance
Whenever I think about the renaissance, I think of the of the dark ages. The Renaissance was a period
in European history, that took place during the 14th through the 17th century. Accordant Leonardo da

Renaissance started in Italy during the period of medieval, then it slowly spread throughout Europe.
The term Renaissance over the years, has become synonymous with ideas of expanding, rebirth and

In Italy, the humanist educational program won rapid acceptance and, by the mid 15th century, many
of the upper classes had received a humanist education. Some of the highest officials of the Catholic
church were humanists with the resources of a mass important library. The much humanist effort went
into improving the understanding and translations of the biblical and early Christian texts. According
to the American Humanist Association, define humanism as is a progressive life stance that, without
supernaturalism, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead meaningful, ethical lives capable of
adding to the greater good of humanity.
The romantic music movement was an intellectual movement that originated in the second half of the
19th century in Europe, that strengthened in reaction to the industrial revolution. It was a revolt
against social and political norms of the ages of enlightenment. The romantic music movement was
embodied most strongly in the visual art, music, and literature, but had a major impact on history and
education. In the romantic period, music became more expressive and emotional, expanding to
encompass literary, artist, and philosophical themes. During the romantic period, music often took on
a much more nationalistic purpose. During the late 19th century there was a dramatic expansion in the
size of the orchestra and the diversity of instruments used in this ensemble. The public concert became

Soldier s Home And The Destructors
One s perspective of the world can alter by an event. Events can alter one s perspective of the world
when one decides to take interest in an event or participate in one. In these three short stories, Soldier
s Home by Ernest Hemingway, Speaking of Courage by Tim O Brien, and The Destructors by Graham
Greene, Soldier s Home and Speaking of Courage are very alike when Norman Bowker, and Krebs,
the protagonist, has just returned from being drafted in the war. Norman and Krebs are incapable to

In most circumstances that have to do with fertility matters or same sex couples there are many
different options available such as adoption, in vitro fertilization, and the use of surrogates. There is
also the baby Moses law, it permits the parent or parents the choice of dropping their baby off with no
questions asked, which offers the child an opportunity to be with a loving family. Ian Wilmut and
Keith Campbell both feel that to bring a new human being into the world is a sacred thing the most
serious thing that most of us do in the course of our lives. 2 For those who are unable to naturally
bring a child into this world should be more concerned with having a child to love instead of creating

Skeptics Of The Holy Spirit
To a skeptic the Holy Spirit may seem as another description of God the Father that the Spirit is not a
separate person at all. Some acknowledging the Spirit contend the Spirit is not fully God. However,
Scripture supports the existence of the Trinity, including the person of the Holy Spirit, sharing the
same authority, and power as God the Father and the Son. Through the works of the Spirit, skeptics
can be converted by perceiving the things of God once hidden. Of great importance, Wesley identified
the Holy Spirit as one of the three persons of the Trinity. That the Spirit of God had all the attributes of
God, and is eternally in communion the fullness of God (Oden, 2012, p.105 106). Our God has said, I
am the Lord; that is my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Spirit is the witness to the adoption of believers into God s family as a joint heir with Christ
(Romans 8:12 16). Wesley describes the Spirit as guiding, rectifying, teaching, purifying and uniting
believers together in the will of God through Jesus Christ (Oden, 2012, p.106). The Bible tells us
while Jesus has ascended above and is seated at the right hand of the Father, the Holy Spirit dwells in
believers here ( Matthew 22:44, Psalm 101:1, Acts 1:5, John 14:17). It is the indwelling of the Holy
Spirit that allows believers to see the truth, and perceive the Spirit himself He is the Holy Spirit, who
leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn t looking for him and doesn t
recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. John 14:17
(NLT). So it is by the infilling of the Holy Spirit, that one not only experiences works of the Spirit, but
confirmation of the Spirit Himself. In conclusion Scripture confirms the person of the Holy Spirit,
sharing equally in the glory and authority of the Godhead. The Spirit of God possesses attributes
reserved only for Almighty God and reviles the things of God to man, including the presence of the

Spumoni Day Essay
National Spumoni Day in the United States The 21st of August is National Spumoni Day. National
Spumoni Day is an unofficial national holiday that is observed in the United States. Spumoni is an
Italian dessert that is constructed from layers of ice cream, whipped cream, nuts, and candied fruit.
There are three layers to a traditional spumoni, chocolate, cherry, and pistachio. Each layer is mixed
with nuts and dried fruit to create this special treat. Spumoni is similar to ice cream, the Neapolitan ice
cream, but it is different. Spumoni is different than ice cream because it is sliced and not scooped. This
dessert was crafted in Naples and was brought to the America s by an influx of Italian immigrants. The
late 1800 s saw an influx in immigration and many traditions such as the spumoni were brought over
during that time. As the years have gone by, the flavors incorporated in the spumoni have changed and

Correlation Between Youth Sports Athletes And Leadership...
A Look at Correlation Between Youth Sports Athletes and Leadership Concepts in the Workforce By
Robert Graves For a majority of my life, I ve been involved in sports. I can even remember when I
played on my first team, the time my father first enrolled me on my first T ball league. There are
pictures in our family photo album of me holding a basketball at an age even younger than when I
played in the T ball league, shooting it into a Mattel basketball hoop. Throughout the years, I ve
played on various sports teams from little league baseball, YMCA basketball, high school football,
and even a high status volleyball team during my time in the Marine Corps. I love sports and the team
concept; in fact, a majority of my friends played in some type of league, or were former teammates of
my own. I ve noticed throughout the years, as I look back on my life, that I had always been some sort
of captain or role model, and even in the jobs I held I had always been promoted faster than my peers,
and have always been given great recognition and appraisal. I have always been told I was a good
leader, and people came to me willingly to seek assistance and advice. Still to this day, as a chief in
my shop, and as a family friend, people turn to me for life coaching. I see this trend as well with some
of my former teammates, and even some former High School and College athletes that enlisted in the
services. Seeing this trend I began to wonder if there is a correlation between

Literal Meaning: The aphorism refers to the fact that hard workers don t have to worry about being
hungry because they can work hard to not go hungry.
Idea Expressed: To achieve success, you need to put effort and work hard in order to reach your goal.
Real World Example: A lot of people are always looking for a new phone, especially around
Christmas time. While some teens may be receiving one as gifts from their family, others may have
worked hard and saved up in order to buy it themselves without the help of family members. Instead
of spending their paycheck they received from their summer jobs, they may have planned ahead and

Confessional Poetry Of Sylvia Plath
In the early 20th century, the Modernist philosophical movement dominated literature. Despite the
maturity of the topics the world faced during the time, literature erred on the conservative side and
avoided personal issues such as depression, sexuality, and trauma. In the 1950 s, however, Sylvia Plath
emerged to spearhead a new era of writing in the form of Confessional poetry. Plagued with
depression, suicidal tendencies, and trauma tied to her father s death, Plath explored these taboo
themes in her poetry. Alongside a few other influential writers of the period, Plath s intense and
intimate poems hailed the start of a revolutionary literature movement ( A Brief Guide to Confessional
Poetry ). Death, victimization, and a negative father complex were the leading themes in Plath s life,
and inspired much of her work, including the poems The Colossus, and Daddy. Sylvia Plath s parents
met when her father, a renowned German professor named Otto, taught Sylvia s mother, Aurelia at
Boston University. Born on October 27, 1932, in Boston, Massachusetts, Sylvia Plath had an ordinary
childhood, but the peace was broken in 1934 when Otto fell ill with an advanced stage of diabetes. He
died five years later on November 5, 1940 ( Sylvia Plath Biography ). Otto s death profoundly
traumatized Sylvia, aged eight at the time; upon hearing of his death, Plath said, I shall never talk to
God again. (O Connor). Plath, simultaneously a depressed but dazzling student, developed a talent

Dystopian Literature Analysis
1. Dystopia: Definition and Characteristics Dystopia is the anti utopia. It is defined as a futuristic,
imagined universe in which oppressive societal control and the illusion of a perfect society are
maintained through corporate, bureaucratic, technological, moral, or totalitarian control. Dystopias,
through an exaggerated worst case scenario, make a criticism about a current trend, societal norm, or
political system. Dystopia is shown as an alternative to the utopia, it represents a vision of a fictional
society that is made imperfect and flawed by the influences of tyranny, terrorism, poverty, misery and
advanced technologies (willans par.2). Willans also explain that dystopia represents artificially created

In addition to that, Chad Walsh, in Utopia to Nightmare, says I submit that the shift from utopian to
dystopian fiction is important. Quite possibly, it foreshadows one of those really massive
psychological shifts that sometimes occur over a whole culture (117).Dystopian literature is
characterized, by Terry Chung, as fiction that presents a negative view of the future of society and
humankind (par. 3). The historical events that happened during the twentieth century contributed in
the raise of dystopian literature the Nazi era in Germany, the Stalin era in Russia. Industrial revolution,
World War I, the Russian Revolution, growing awareness of environmental damage, rapid progress of
technology, popularization of capitalistic trends as well as fear that machine could take power on the
men were the reasons for appearance of creation of dystopian literature. Author of dystopian fiction
are often inspired by political and cultural problems. This kind of literature came as a response to
various wars over the decades, and as a commentary upon various totalitarian regimes. Common
dystopian themes in literature are: mastery of nature, technological advances that enslave humans or

Rule of Law and Separation of Powers
Government under the law and the protection of rights and freedom are twin pillars of the rule of law.
Without the separation of powers, neither of these principles would be realized.
Governments perform three functions namely executive, judicial and legislative functions. The role of
separation of powers involves the diffusion rather than concentration of powers within the state. Thus,
these branches should be separate, unique and equal. The underlying principle of the separation of
powers is that individuals have the potential to harm others, and this can become a reality when power
is concentrated in one person, faction, or institution. However, if the branches were completely
separate it would be unworkable since Parliament is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In combining the three in separate institutions (the Commons, Lords, and Crown respectively), the
English constitution provides all that is necessary for good government.
AV Dicey s view on the rule of law cannot be ignored because of the lasting influence he has had.
Dicey s views were derived from his understanding of the nature of democracy in UK as unitary and
self correcting in which the will of the people are expressed through Parliament, and in which
Parliament controlled the government. In setting out the rule of law, Dicey considered three distinct
elements. No punishment may be inflicted on anyone other than for a breach of the law; irrespective
of rank and status, all men are equal under the law; and the rights and freedom of citizen are best
protected under the common law.
The rule of law represents a challenge to State authority and power, demanding both that power be
granted legitimately and that their exercise is according to law. The law is not autonomous but rests on
the support of those it governs. Whilst the rule of law places law above everyone, it remains
paradoxically subjected to the ultimate judgment of the people. The rule of law is considered the most
fundamental doctrines of the constitution of UK. The constitution is said to be founded on the idea of
the rule of law.
The UK does have a kind of

survival of the species was the greatest challenge facing civilization, the Venus of Willendorf came
into being. Its exaggerated bodily features represent the yearning for fecundity. As art and sculpture
have developed, the reflection of society s values in sculpture has remained. In this paper, I will
address two statues from the ancient era; the statue of Gudea created in the neo Sumerian period and
the ancient Greek statue of the Kouros made in the archaic period. These two works are separated by
nearly fifteen centuries, and naturally the contrast of these sculptures reveals how people s lives and
artistic goals have changed over this span of years. Over the course of this paper, I am going to
address what each work represents in its respective society and the difference in artistic style between
the two civilizations. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In an attempt to entrench alien presence, Gudea commissioned countless statues and installed his
statues within every temple in the region. Presumably he used these statues as political means to bring
stability to the region.[1] The replicas of this statue were viewed as intermediaries between the local
deities and the rulers. This statue held an important position in Neo Sumerian society because the
populace attributed the prosperity of the nation to the benevolence of the local deities. This particular
belief also allowed local rulers to establish the regal presence in every temple. The omnipresent image
of ruler facilitated the settlement of the migratory

Charlie Parker Essay
The recording I listened to was the poem Charlie Parker performed by Jack Kerouac and Steve Allen.
This performance is accompanied by a musical rendition that relates to the poem s content, as the
poem is about musician Charlie Parker. Kerouac is performing this poem in memoriam of the
musician. Kerouac describes Charlie Parker in an affluent manner to attest to his musical reverence,
such as calling him a great musician . The sound of the poem and the meaning are greatly intertwined
with one another. The sound is musical and whimsical in nature, as the music playing compliments the
poem performance. The meaning of the poem is about the great musician Charlie Parker and a
testament to his life. So the music that accompanies this meaningful ... Show more content on

I thought that Kerouac s musical tone of voice accompanying the music playing really gave the
experience of listening to a song rather than a poetry performance. It had a nice flow to the
performance that added to the songlike feel to this performance when listening to it. I especially heard
this tone in lines, such as we blop and we plop . The use of sound imagery helps in relating the
songlike feel to poetry to the actual musician who is at the center of the poem s content and meaning.
This is not the only imagery seen in the poem, as there are multiple points in the poem. Kerouac uses
imagery as a way to immerse in the poem to give the reader mental images about Charlie Parker. This
can be seen at the beginning of the poem when Kerouac is describing Charlie Parker, such as the line
Charlie Parker looked like Buddha. Kerouac also used imagery to describe the music of Charlie Parker
as well. Kerouac describes the experience of listening to Charlie Parker play in lines such as like the
perfect cry of some wild gang at a jam session Wail! Whap! . This type of imagery gives the feeling of
being at one of the great musician s performances. This poetry performance was one full of meaning
and emotion. The music helped assist in creating this experience of emotion and meaning to the poem
s content. The imagery also stands out in this performance to help create the vision of emotion and

Access Of Contraception And Abortion Within The Latina...
Access to contraceptives and abortion within the Latina community in Los Angeles, California has
been influenced culturally, socially, and economically. Cultural beliefs, economic disparities, social
environment, and language barriers have all prevented Latina s access to proper pregnancy
termination services, which is causing in the detrition of Latina s sexual and reproductive care.
Ultimately in order to promote better reproductive/sexual health and provide better access to
contraceptives and abortion within the Latina community in Los Angeles, policy makers should
promote safe sex practices within families, communities, and schools and also should educate Latinas
of all options they have. In addition to education, sexual and reproductive health services such as
contraceptives and abortion should be able to be accessible to Latinas, in order to reduce the amount
of Latinas going through traumatic experiences that are indeed preventative.

Food Security Is The Deadliest Category Of Malnutrition
Food Security Food security is defined as having access to sufficient amounts and safe food at all
times, in order to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Food security is often times looked upon as
just the availability of food, but safety and hygiene of food and food products gets overlooked. For
example, many developing countries don t have the specific education needed to know that certain
chemicals, such as pesticides, insecticides, and herbicides, should only be applied during certain
growth stages of crops. This causes the consumption of these crops to be very harmful to individuals.

Another major task they need to incorporate into their government would be implementing
agricultural and food policies that will be effective and help the economy. Although, this may be hard
to accomplish due to the violence and corrupt government in Nigeria. Justice could be the ethical
argument behind this, because many people are suffering from unfairness from the jihadists. They are
stealing people s possessions, food, and animals that they live off from. They are unable to make any
money from the crops that they had grown, animals they raised, and are going hungry from this,
causing food insecurities and malnutrition throughout the country. Nigeria in not the only country in
Africa facing these problematic situations. Al Hudayah in Yemen is also suffering from war and
government conflicts. The Saudi jets have been attacking and bombing villages throughout Yemen.
This has caused a sudden decrease in many people s income, which is making it hard for individuals to
buy food for themselves and their families. Again, this hunger crisis with severe acute malnutrition
could lead to famine very shortly if no steps are taken to overcome the problem. The ethical argument
behind the situation that Yemen is currently facing could also be justice or rights. This is because it is
unfair for a country to be suffering due to conflict or war. A majority of the individuals being bombed
or killed from the war are innocent people that are just trying to

A Paper On The Genus Hominins Essay
This is going to be a paper on the genus Hominins. Hominins are early human ancestors the first being
Sahelanthropus Tchadensis and ends with Homo Sapiens. A specie is a group of similar animals, or
plants and in our case homo, paranthropus and australopithecus that can interbreed between each other
and have a direct connection in lineage.A genus is a grouping of alike and related species that all share
in many traits. It is an overview of species that are different enough to be put in one group but similar
to be put under an umbrella term. In this paper it will take about the later half of the hominin genus,
from Homo rudolfensis to Homo sapiens. We will be taking a look into how they are connected if they
are, why I did not connect others and the culture behind it all.
Homo rudolfensis was found in 1986 by V.P. Alexeev . 2.4 1.8 Million years ago. Rudolfensis maybe
one of the first Homo Species and can maybe be traced back to kenyanthropus platyops. Many
believed at first glance Homo erectus was close to Homo habilis because they shared many of the
same features, were found near each other and dated to around the same time to 2.4 to 1.8 million
years ago for habilis 2.3 to 1.5 million years ago for rudolfensis. Both are put under scrutiny because
many believe that due to the case of them having longer faces and bigger molars that they are from
Australopithecus and should be placed with them.Making them an australopithecus would mean that it

Let Us Start With Brown V. Buhman
The supreme court sees generally to be ignored on the vast majority of its cases that it holds. Some
cases hold a particular interest from the public because of publicity due to the topics they address but
it is no secret that the vast majority of these cases are ignored by people in their everyday life. It can
be seen with some examples from cases like Brown v. Buhman, Spokeo v. Robbins, Fisher v.
University of Texas that the decision made in these cases can have an impact on the lives of all or
many citizens that generally ignore their outcomes holding no regard for the standings of the supreme
court. Let us start with Brown v. Buhman as the first example for why the average citizen should care
about the supreme court. This case covers an issue with the Brown family a group of polygamists
regarding a statute in Utah. This case brings up a few important things to be recognized. Primarily the
case regards standing and mootness of a case, these are both important aspects of law to understand.
For a case to continue and take place it has to be relevant and there has to be a reason for the case to
be brought up. In the case of Brown v. Buman if part of the statute was deemed unconstitutional then
the case would no longer be needed as it would solve the issue. Now although most people may feel
that on the outside an understanding of this case is irrelevant to them as it handles a case of polygamy
it holds many important considerations. One of which is free exercise

which, until that time, had been dominated by the Muslims. The Portuguese began exploring the

Comparing The Ways Writer Present Doubts, Uncertainties...
Controlled Assessment Alby Joseph
Compare the ways writer present doubts, uncertainties and conflict in the minds of the characters.
Poems are the most simplistic way to express one s feelings and beliefs through writing. Poets mostly
try express love, loss, death, some may speak from their own experience or for the sake of their
characters who tend to be quite sophisticated. They tend to write about these 3 topics commonly due
to the fact that practically everyone has experienced this sort of emotion. Poetry has existed since man
could write, to Aristotle, to Victorian times and now to the present day where it is internationally used.
Poems are now used to promote movements for the benefit of the world, varying from poverty to the
sustainability of the environment; of which most have been successful due to poetry being able to
connect with the reader, even if they are not in the same situation. However they are still able to feel
what their character is feeling and what state of mind they are in. Poems also tend to be short so that
the reader does not loose concentration nor loose the power of the poem, but instead the poet chooses
to write to a short limithowever they choose their words carefully so that the reader will be intrigued
and contemplated the whole way through the poem however leave the poembeing fascinated.

Argumentative Essay On Bhagavad Gita
In the Hinduism Hit The Bhagavad Gita , Buddha Weighs Questions of The Truth
Could killing but not being emotionally attached solve a conflict? In The Bhagavad Gita, Krishna
encourages Arjuna to kill and not be attached. He says, If you are killed, you win heaven; if you
triumph, you enjoy the earth; therefore, Arjuna, stand up and resolved to fight the battle. The path of
my own teachings has three important instructions: moral precepts, no killing; mental concentration,
breath control meditation; and wisdom, the knowledge of knowing there is no self. Instead of killing,
we need to be merciful and kind to others. No man who does not love himself could love others. Every
creature has a life so we need to appreciate and respect them instead of killing them.
For more than 100 pages, Krishna mainly talks about three types of yoga in The Bhagavad Gita: jnana
(knowledge) yoga, karma (action) yoga, and devotion yoga.
The soul can never be destroyed or changed. Krishna mentions that the soul and body mind are
different. The body dies and is reborn. The soul remains. I also believe in the universal soul (purusha).
My values, however, are slightly different. I realize that there are three types of suffering: dukkha
dukkha, viparinama dukkha, and samkhara dukkha. Dukkha dukkhua means obvious physical or
mental pain. Viparinama dukkha means losing something that is valuable to you. Suffering can also be
translated to satisfactoriness, instability, and uncertainty.

Billie Jo s hands became burnt and it killed her to even try to play piano. I cleaned off the keys but
when I played, a tortured sound came from the piano, like someone was shrieking. (pg. 63 64) The
mother s face got burnt so bad that sometimes it was hard for the father and Billie Jo to even recognize
her anymore. This caused the father to have depression and he started to use drinking alcohol as a
coping mechanism. Sometimes he even left Billie Jo home alone to take care of the mother while he
was out drinking. Then Billie Jo s mother died giving birth to her baby brother and Billie Jo couldn t
stand being in the same room as the piano that her mom played. Now I can t hardly stay in the same
room with one, especially Ma s. (pg. 87) Then Billie Jo decides to go back and play on a different
piano then the one that is at her own house. She was so happy to hear a piano again after dealing with
the loss of her mom and the loss of her baby brother. The relief I felt to hear the sound of music after
the sound of the piano at home. (pg. 64) These are the ways that Billie Jo was separated from playing
the piano in the middle of the

The name of these self serve movie renting machines is Red box; this is the technology and idea that
changed everything for movie rental stores. As well as the online movie streaming, this technology
development made and amazing impact in its industry because it made one of the biggest contenders
go bankruptcy, this contender was Blockbuster video. Their company was in the market for more than
20 years, and someone with the right tools, and the right vision made their empire come down. This is
the clearest example why organizations need to stay always current and innovating the way they
provide service because if they become too comfortable, someone can find a better way to do it and
bring your hard work down. The way that technology was used on this scenario provided was by
creating a box with a screen and a system in which the user can select his or her movie choice, the
system will recognize that selection, and dispense the DVD movie the user wanted. This new strategy
help the creator to save thousands of dollars on employees, benefits, store locations, utilities, security,
and many others. This is why their company strategy was incredibly effective and not only made them
a leader, but also a standard on how people rent their movies today. Both of these technologies
mentioned on this paper had a long way before they became leaders in their industry. After long
research trying to find the most accurate history

An Analysis Of Will Richardson s From Master Learner
I found myself nodding like a bobblehead while reading Will Richardson s From Master Teacher to
Master Learner.
Richardson argues that with our ability to use technology to connect, create and share globally, the
basic assumptions of schools are increasingly irrelevant. While focusing on the skills and dispositions
of learning (and defining what we mean by learning ), teachers current role must change as they
become more important than ever in preparing students for a world in rapid transition.
What s valued now is what we can do with what we know and the ability to learn more. As my own
journey as a teacher has been to become a learner of learning for the past five years, I wholeheartedly
agree with Richardson.
While access to technology

Monologue For Animal Farm
Stanley rushed in the house screaming, They won t obey me! I told him to calm down, and tell us what
won t obey him. He said, The scarecrows! They won t stop, they are coming in numbers. I looked out
the window and saw many scarecrows marching toward me like they want to eat me, or even worse
kill me. Mark was outside and still had the scarecrow costume from the prank earlier and they stopped
in front of Mark as if they thought he was their leader. He put his hand up, and so did the scarecrows. I
was going to tell Mark to take of his mask so the scarecrow s can take off their heads, but Stanley told
me even with no heads they can still walk. So I told Mark to walk away from the farm to give us time
to plan something out. I looked at Stanley

Forbidden Love In Romeo And Juliet
Romeo and Juliet My only love, sprung from my only hate, too early seen unknown, and known to
hate. (Act I, Scene VI, Lines 136 137) The classic tale of the tragic love story Romeo and Juliet has
been told time and time again to dozens of generations. This play tells the story of Romeo Montague
and Juliet Capulet and their forbidden love. The Montague s and Capulet s have been feuding for as
long as anyone in Verona can remember, but one night young Juliet met a masked stranger at a ball
and they fall in love. She ends up discovering this stranger is Romeo Montague and it is forbidden to
have any connection with one of the Montagues, let alone a relationship. Both her and Romeo decide
to keep their love a secret and continue to be together. This causes many problems in the story
including Lord Capulet threatening to disown Juliet if she continued to see Romeo and there being a
miscommunication where Romeo thought Juliet has died and commits suicide because he could never
live without her; where in fact she was under a sleeping potion so her family would think ... Show

If their parents or the townsfolk found out about a Capulet loving a Montague, havoc would rein. Both
of them would have most likely been disowned by their parents and banished from Verona. There was
also the possibility of violence breaking out between the two families if news of this relationship
surfaced. The play s use of secrecy is needed to help create and progress the story line. If Romeo or
Juliet would have either decided to tell their parents about their relationship sooner or would have
married other people; the story would have either been incredibly short or boring. The aspect of family
feuds, true love, and civil battles all help make the play more intriguing, enticing, and iconic. Their
choice of secrecy also shows how they truly loved one another and were willing to face challenges and
adversity for each

  • 2. Essay about THE TRAIL OF TEARS Quantie s weak body shuddered from a blast of cold wind. Still, the proud wife of the Cherokee chief John Ross wrapped a woolen blanket around her shoulders and grabbed the reins. Leading the final group of Cherokee Indians from their home lands, Chief John Ross thought of an old story that was told by the chiefs before him, of a place where the earth and sky met in the west, this was the place where death awaits. He could not help but fear that this place of death was where his beloved people were being taken after years of persecution and injustice at the hands of white Americans, the proud Indian people were being forced to vacate their lands, leaving behind their homes, businesses and almost everything they owned while traveling to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many Americans saw this act as the government sanctioning of brutality and inhuman treatment of the Indian people and actively protested its passing. President Jackson thought of the Indians as children who needed his guidance and justified their removal as a way of protecting the Indians from the hatred and harassment of the white Americans and as a measure that would allow them to govern themselves in a new land. A passage from the Removal Act reads as follows, no state could achieve proper culture, civilization, and progress, as long as Indians remained within its boundaries . This statement gives a more accurate description of how the American Congress and the President thought of all Indians in America and the Removal Act gave them the justification to further American expansion into Indian tribal lands. By the late 1830s, more than 40 treaties were signed by what was then called the Five Civilized Tribes, which consisted of the Cherokee, Choctaws, Chickasaws, Creeks, and Seminoles. Many of these tribes exchanged over 40,000 miles of land in seven states. Three quarters of Alabama and Florida, as well as parts of Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky and North Carolina became property of the United States after they were traded for lands west of the Mississippi river, which is now Northern Oklahoma. Powers Of The United States Constitution Mia Stagnitta Mrs. Tobin American Government 7 17 November 2014 Enumerated Powers The United States Constitution consists of twenty seven expressed or enumerated powers. These powers were carefully constructed by the Framers of the Constitution in hopes that the government would remain fair in its law making ways. The Legislative Branch is comprised of the Senate and House of Representatives, commonly referred to as Congress. It known of as the law making body of the United States government with the help of the president or the Executive Branch. Congress must exercise or follow the powers stated in the Constitution. Three enumerated powers that have made and are still making significant impacts on the United States are the Necessary and Proper Clause, Commerce Clause, and the power to declare war. The Necessary and Proper Clause is stated in Article I, Section 8, and Clause 18 of the Constitution. This Clause is commonly referred to as the Elastic Clause as well as several other names: the Sweeping Clause, the Coefficient Clause, and the Basket Clause, and. These names are all appropriate due to the fact that they all represent the meaning of the clause itself. • 5. Contact Zones In Public Schools One of the most evident disputes in current educational structures, especially within the American teaching system, is that standardization creates a uniform curriculum which hinders the liberty of thinking. Therefore, classrooms are merely instilled with homogenous thoughts, instructing in a robotic manner to equally distribute knowledge for every student. From elementary school to college, we are urged to take standardized tests to advance onto the next level based off of a definitive score that suggests qualification (Ravitch xxiii). However, this academically inhibits those who aren t strategically successful with these assessments. Those who score above the criterion must stay in line with the general standard. This rigid curricular prescription ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is where culturally contrasting individuals clash together in a social space, such as a college lecture hall. If every school vitalized contact zones , then Rodriguez and other students could succeed academically while having integrity for where they came from making school a safe house . Cultural diversity promotes free thinking since students do not lose their ethnic virtues and avoid shifting into robotic containers to fill since their environments are more inclusive towards other ideas. The relationship between the buyer and seller can be either short term (once off or low commitment purchases) or long term, involving regular purchases based on established agreements. That value can be based on services, quality, on time deliveries, returns management, or some combination of these. It s what makes buyers increase their percentage of purchases from individual suppliers for the long run. This provides a double edged benefit for suppliers: when a buyer increases its purchase of a needed material or product or goods, this not only enhances the chosen supplier s bottom line, but also negatively impacts the competition. Further, this increased collaboration between supply chain buyer and seller leads to another valuable outcome: increased efficiencies. The Longer the Collaboration, the Lower the Costs One of the greatest benefits from long term supply chain collaboration (and one that consistently delights operationally oriented managers) are the cost savings that result from routine procedures over the life of the relationship. When buyers and suppliers begin a relationship, there interactions often are fraught with inefficiencies and expensive company legacy s , adding to the cost of doing business in year one. • 12. Skeptics Of The Holy Spirit To a skeptic the Holy Spirit may seem as another description of God the Father that the Spirit is not a separate person at all. Some acknowledging the Spirit contend the Spirit is not fully God. However, Scripture supports the existence of the Trinity, including the person of the Holy Spirit, sharing the same authority, and power as God the Father and the Son. Through the works of the Spirit, skeptics can be converted by perceiving the things of God once hidden. Of great importance, Wesley identified the Holy Spirit as one of the three persons of the Trinity. That the Spirit of God had all the attributes of God, and is eternally in communion the fullness of God (Oden, 2012, p.105 106). Our God has said, I am the Lord; that is my ... Wesley describes the Spirit as guiding, rectifying, teaching, purifying and uniting believers together in the will of God through Jesus Christ (Oden, 2012, p.106). The Bible tells us while Jesus has ascended above and is seated at the right hand of the Father, the Holy Spirit dwells in believers here ( Matthew 22:44, Psalm 101:1, Acts 1:5, John 14:17). It is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that allows believers to see the truth, and perceive the Spirit himself He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn t looking for him and doesn t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. John 14:17 (NLT). • 17. Confessional Poetry Of Sylvia Plath In the early 20th century, the Modernist philosophical movement dominated literature. Despite the maturity of the topics the world faced during the time, literature erred on the conservative side and avoided personal issues such as depression, sexuality, and trauma. In the 1950 s, however, Sylvia Plath emerged to spearhead a new era of writing in the form of Confessional poetry. Plagued with depression, suicidal tendencies, and trauma tied to her father s death, Plath explored these taboo themes in her poetry. Alongside a few other influential writers of the period, Plath s intense and intimate poems hailed the start of a revolutionary literature movement ( A Brief Guide to Confessional Poetry ). Death, victimization, and a negative father complex were the leading themes in Plath s life, and inspired much of her work, including the poems The Colossus, and Daddy. Sylvia Plath s parents met when her father, a renowned German professor named Otto, taught Sylvia s mother, Aurelia at Boston University. Born on October 27, 1932, in Boston, Massachusetts, Sylvia Plath had an ordinary childhood, but the peace was broken in 1934 when Otto fell ill with an advanced stage of diabetes. He died five years later on November 5, 1940 ( Sylvia Plath Biography ). In combining the three in separate institutions (the Commons, Lords, and Crown respectively), the English constitution provides all that is necessary for good government. AV Dicey s view on the rule of law cannot be ignored because of the lasting influence he has had. Dicey s views were derived from his understanding of the nature of democracy in UK as unitary and self correcting in which the will of the people are expressed through Parliament, and in which Parliament controlled the government. In setting out the rule of law, Dicey considered three distinct elements. No punishment may be inflicted on anyone other than for a breach of the law; irrespective of rank and status, all men are equal under the law; and the rights and freedom of citizen are best protected under the common law. The rule of law represents a challenge to State authority and power, demanding both that power be granted legitimately and that their exercise is according to law. The law is not autonomous but rests on the support of those it governs. Whilst the rule of law places law above everyone, it remains paradoxically subjected to the ultimate judgment of the people. • 20. Venus Of Willendorf Statue Analysis Since ancient times, statuary has taken on a special role within the culture that creates it. Statues have often been considered an important medium to represent the goals of patrons. For example, when survival of the species was the greatest challenge facing civilization, the Venus of Willendorf came into being. Its exaggerated bodily features represent the yearning for fecundity. As art and sculpture have developed, the reflection of society s values in sculpture has remained. This play tells the story of Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet and their forbidden love. The Montague s and Capulet s have been feuding for as long as anyone in Verona can remember, but one night young Juliet met a masked stranger at a ball and they fall in love. She ends up discovering this stranger is Romeo Montague and it is forbidden to have any connection with one of the Montagues, let alone a relationship. Both her and Romeo decide to keep their love a secret and continue to be together.
