Organic Farming Controversy
Chemical free and conventional husbandry differences stem from their own methods utilized during
the comestible production. As a consequence, a wide variety of the most contentious debates have
revolved around the issue of whether avant garde farming techniques pave the way for better living
standards. To elucidate this controversy, it should put in comparison with the inorganic cultivation. To
begin with, thanks to the tremendous momentum of the technological advancement, natural farming

Conversely, natural cultivation is an advanced technology that does not harm the environment as well
as the biosphere. As a matter of fact, no longer do cultivated areas contaminated, pesticide residual,

nature and protect the environment from antiquated farming practice. It would be the height of folly,
however, not to mention some drawbacks of organic agriculture and advantages of intensive farming.
For one thing, organic farming, while conventional farming is manufacturing bigger yields, cannot
produce enough food to assuage the world s appetite. For another thing, it would be rather difficult for
the impoverished and underprivileged to afford high priced products from natural farming, which,
consequently, can in part limit their interests of utilizing fresh food. Meanwhile, intensive agriculture,
with curtailed prices, can meet the requirements of more people. In conclusion, there is no denying
that organic and intensive farming play a vital role in life. Notwithstanding, everything frequently
parallels with its downsides and these methods are not an exception. Anyway, with the rational ways
of exploiting these technological advances and future development in their security, hopefully all
problems will be eliminated and the merits can be

Leadership Behavior, Team Development And Group Cohesion...
The purpose of this paper is to discuss relevant research regarding a number of concepts related to
group cohesion including: leadership behavior, team development and group cohesion as a mediator.
Coaching elements identified as being positively related to group cohesion include: the quality of
training and instruction, social support, positive feedback and leadership style (Yarmey, 2013). In
particular, a democratic leadership style has been found to promote the development of team cohesion
(Crocker, 2016). Empirical evidence suggests that group s progress through a set of well defined
stages before becoming a cohesive team. According to Tuckman s model of team development these
stages include: forming, storming, norming and performing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The purpose of this paper is to discuss relevant research regarding a number of concepts related to

Leadership Factors
Across many sports, research has provided empirical support for the connection between coaching
elements and team cohesion (Crocker, 2016). Specific coaching elements identified as being positively
related to group cohesion include: the quality of training and instruction, social support, positive
feedback and leadership style (Yarmey, 2013). In the YouTube clip, Al Pacino s Any Given Sunday
Speech , the coach appears to demonstrate effective leadership skills promoting the team s cohesion.
In his motivational speech, a degree of social support is provided through the fostering of a positive
atmosphere. In addition, he provides instructions for the team s success by emphasizing that the group
must work as a team in order to be successful in their upcoming game. Unfortunately, this clip offers
little insight into the coach s decision styles (an important leadership factor related to group cohesion).
Two opposing coaching leadership styles have been found to influence team cohesion: the autocratic
style and the democratic style. While the autocratic style involves independent decision making by the
coach, the democratic style stresses joint decision making and the

William Wordsworth s The World Is Too Much With Us
Completely unaware? Do you notice the things that surrounds us, and the life that lives within us?
Care to much or not at all?, want it all? Or have you no love within your heart. Do you dream? Or
create? Do you see the nature all around us? Those were many of the thoughts and questions that ran
through my head when reading the poem The World Is Too Much With Us , by William Wordsworth.
Throughout the story there were three messages that stood out the most in Wordsworth s poem, which
involve love, the power to not care and be greedy, and creation within the mind.
In the poem the writing can be taken and understood many different ways, but one thing that stood out
to me was the message of love. Now not necessarily love for one another but love for nature was
expressed throughout the poem through various ways. We have given our hearts away, a Sordid boon!
(Wordsworth, Line, 5). What William was trying to explain in just that line was we would give our
hearts away to nature at any point, because it s the love for the way that nature is and all its beauty and
peace. It can so easily capture our hearts to love nature and all it has to offer. Furthermore,
Wordsworth, talks a lot and describes a lot about what nature does. For instance. He talks about how
the sea is at night time, how the wind has a sort of howl to it, and that also really shows the love for
nature that is expressed in this poem. And even the love that the narrator has for nature and its beauty.

Hinduism And Religion
Hinduism I
An interesting aspect of Hinduism is its conception has created a history that is still prevalent today.
The citadels of the Harappa culture provide modern society with information regarding the
architecture and consequently their religious practices. However, there are some aspects of the
Harappa culture that are still unknown to this day. For example, there is little evidence regarding the
culture s manner of disposal. Consequently, we lack the knowledge of the Harappa s religious
convictions. After the fall of the Harappa culture, the Indo Europeans embraced language as a means
of understanding. Historians have been able to track the migration patterns of the Indo Europeans.
They can do so because the language of the Vedas ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These forms of communications include hymns, rituals treatises, and philosophical texts. Despite the
Veda s diverse form of communication many people do not have access to sacred texts. This restrictive
access to sacred texts begs the question, to what extent does religious exclusivity help or hinder
religious development? While it is important to maintain the original message of the Vedas, it is also
important to distribute true teaching so that students can act and think in a cohesive manner. The Veda
s source of revelation was not a deity. Instead three schools were formed to communicate the
teachings of the Veda. The reading states, In every generation, specialists in Vedic hermeneutics have
worked to make texts messages relevant to the particular time and place (p.35). It is interesting how
Vedic hermeneutics have effectively altered the way Hinduism is received. They have effectively
altered the way Hinduism is received by tailoring the religion to societies needs. I have always
subscribed to the ideas of Karma and Samsara. Though I do not subscribe to the idea of death. I
believe that life is a continuation of an infinite reality. I am unsure of the idea of karma because good
and evil are relative terms. Truth, in religion, should be universal. It is true that in order to achieve
liberation, one must obtain a transformative experiential wisdom. Societies focus on external
development make obtaining this experiential wisdom increasingly difficult. The idea of obtaining
wisdom to avoid death suggests that wisdom is freeing oneself from ideas and

The Union Of The European Union
Brexiters are desperate and angry with everything and everyone that suggests that the British people
should vote to remain in the European Union in the 23 June 2016 referendum. The recent victim of
their desperation and ire has been no less a personage than the US President Barrack Obama himself.
President Obama was in London recently to wish the Queen her happy 90th birthday and help Prime
Minister David Cameron win the referendum in which the British people will vote whether they want
to remain in the EU or leave. The Leave campaigners have sought to create a bubble that Britain
outside the EU will be a prosperous paradise at the center of the universe, free from pesky European
countries. But Obama punctured their bubble by announcing that Britain outside the EU will be less
powerful, less secure, and less prosperous, and it will have to wait for five to 10 years to sign a trade
agreement with the United States. That was shattering for the Leave campaign. Boris Johnson, the
leader of the Leave campaign and mayor of London, was so angry that he descended into the
invective. He said President Obama had anti colonial mindset obtained from his Kenyan father.
Although the reference was made to the removal of British Prime Minister Churchill s from the Oval
Office, the mayor was angry because of his intervention on behalf of the Remain campaign. The anger
has been on the rise, especially after the latest opinion polls have given a slight edge to the Remain
campaign over

A Speech On The Police Officer Removed The Chair Of A...
After the police officer removed the handcuffs from the chair and guided the patient back to his cell,
Dr. Wussah turned to me and said:
We are not God nor the Devil. We do not hold the wooden gavel. We cannot work if we do not have
space in this room, our minds, and our heart.
I returned with a smile.
Growing up as the daughter of a lawyer, the image of the wooden gavel has long been a symbol of
authority, judgement, and choice. It represents a path some encouraged me towards and thought I
would follow. During my early childhood, teachers and family members often commented on my out
of the box thinking. I was always reading, an information sponge, and observing and questioning the
world around me. This curious disposition led me to the mahogany booths of my father s Irish Pub,
where I observed the patrons and created stories of their lives in my drawings and writings. Outside of
the pub, sat Tony. He rarely spoke and seldom smiled. One day, I went over and sat next to him on his
bench to see what the Nancy Drew in me could uncover.
This man, like me, was missing most of his teeth. But he, unlike me, was not waiting for his
permanent teeth to arrive. I had to devise a plan to get this man to smile again. As the resident tooth
puller on Lincoln Street, I looked forward to an opportunity to utilize my hands. One tooth pulling

abrupt halt. My mother, then

The Self Centered, Me Mentality, A Character Flaw That...
A self centered, me mentality, is a character flaw that many Americans struggle with. Consider the
man that was cautioned by his mother to become financially stable in his life before having children.
He did not heed her advice and created three children before completing college. The choices he made
resulted in him working long hours, paying endless amounts of child support, and having no time for a
social life of his own. He chronically complains and while he created his own storm, he got upset
when it rained (Tagore). While some people wisely accept personal responsibility for the situations
they have created due to choices and decisions they chose to make, others are quick to use self
justification methods and therefore lack the ability to take responsibility for their own lives. According
to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, narcissism is an excessive interest in one s self; or self
centeredness arising from failure to distinguish the self from external objects (Merriam Webster.com).
This is a contributing factor of the growing problem of many Americans whom refuse to acknowledge
their unproductive behaviors. If it seems like responsibility shirking is on the rise, it may not be your
imagination. Narcissism has risen 30% among college students since 1979, and studies show their self
confidence is at an all time high (artofmanliness.com). People are very focused on themselves and do
not care about the consequences of their actions. This is causing major

Clostridium Difficile Analysis
Clostridium difficile is a gram positive bacterium responsible for over 10,000 deaths annually in the
United States alone. C. difficile is an opportunistic pathogen that has progressively become antibiotic
resistant in several strains. The bacterium strives in hosts currently taking antibiotics where there is no
competition between commensal microbiota. Common known symptoms of C. difficile infections
(CDIs) include diarrhea, fever, and toxic megacolon. Primary virulent factors of the bacterium
currently being researched are the endotoxins, C. difficile toxin A (TcdA) and B (TcdB). Both toxins
bind to receptors of gut epithelial cells and are endocytosed leading to the inactivation of Rho type
GTPases. With the activity of these enzymes nullified, the cytoskeleton of cells are unstable and
eventually die (Hernandez, et al., 2015). Merck Company., Inc is currently testing the humanized

every year. The cost for treatment has often been more than a hundred million dollars and cases where
patients require additional care can cost to up to an additional ten thousand dollars (Wilkins Lyerly,
2003). The use of antibiotics can be used to treat symptoms but infection may reoccur in hosts or
impotent to antibiotic resistant strains. The use of mAbs for CDIs could replace the use of antibiotics
and vaccines used for CDIs, severely reducing relevant medical expenses so it is expected the market
is pretty high. MK 3415A and other related mAbs are still undergoing research and clinical trials so
bioprocessing protocols to produce mass amounts are not yet available. Current research only shows
the MK 3415A as a treatment for CDIS and has no other yet known applications. However, the
antibodies show great promise as neutralizing antibodies for C. difficile toxins and several strains of

Epicureanism Reflection
After class discussions, have you had any realizations or made any changes in regard to the
philosophies that influences your decisions, actions, or preferences? Has your level of conscious
choice to these philosophies changed? Why or why not?
Answer:
Before Humanities 210, my processes for decision making and preference development were based on
more mental pleasure than physical pleasure. Happiness was the ideal feeling and I would try to feel
happy as long as possible. Having wonderful relationships with family and friends, making wise
decisions, and thinking of ways to improve life were the most important goals to achieve happiness.
However, when moments of extreme happiness emerged, great sadness followed. Although it was
unclear at the time, I was following the concepts of Epicureanism. Richard Paul Janaro and Thelma C.
Altshuler, authors of The Art of Being Human: The Humanities as a Technique for Living, say that
Epicureanism believes complete happiness is a moderate amount of pleasure with freedom from pain
(338). Thus, I realized moderation of pleasure regulates feelings of sadness. My belief in
Epicureanism developed as I recalled periods of suffering and realized I became happy as the
suffering subsided. Regarding religion, my parents and grandmother practice Buddhism, but they
never forced it on me and my sisters so the religion is not as familiar. However, learning about
Buddhism was interesting as it is applicable to everyday life. One salient

Young Goodman Brown: The Value of Dreams
Young Goodman Brown The Birthmark Nathaniel Hawthorne s stories Young Goodman Brown and
The Birthmark both make use of dreams to affect the story and reveal the central characters. With each
story, the dreams presented are extremely beneficial to the development of the story as they give the
reader a new view of the plot itself, or the characters within. At the same time, however, it becomes
difficult to determine how much of the dream has been affected by the character, and how much is
pure fantasy. This is true with Young Goodman Brown, who cannot determine whether the events in

After a night of making deals with the Devil, having all of his fellow countrymen show their Satanic
sympathies and himself becoming affiliated with the Fallen Angel, Brown understandably looks to
account these incredible events to a dream state. However, Brown acts coldly towards Faith after that
particular night, and completely changes his demeaner as he begins to question whether the dream
was, in fact, a dream, or reality. What may have been but a dream turns out to haunt Brown for the rest
of his life, as he can no longer accept the people in his life for what they appear to be, and can not
forget that he saw them all at the witch meeting. In contrast, is the debatable question of whether or
not the dream was only a wild dream (Hawthorne, 318). If Young Goodman Brown indeed did dream
of the witch meeting, then he has wasted his life with his unrestrained, unrelenting paranoia. Because
of the ambiguity of the situation, where neither the reader, narrator nor protagonist can be sure of the
validity of the dream s depictions of the residents of Salem, Hawthorne makes it difficult of analyze
Brown s character. It it therefore impossible to come to any absolute conclusions regarding the nature
of Young Goodman Brown as one cannot accurately assess what has happened to him, and the
consequences of those events.

Analysis Of Dreams From My Father By Barack Obama
Dreams from my father written by; former president Barack Obama. This text shows another side to
Obama that many of us has never seen of him before. In class my group and I covered chapters 12 13;
our group discussed some of the ideas of Obamas character. As we discussed his experiences early in
his career in the community of Chicago had helped him in the future, for his presidency. The text we
read showed a lot about Obama as a person it helped me understand Obama even more. Obama is a
caring man that only wants to help, for him to help the community he has to understand the problems
they are facing. Obama takes time to talk to citizens in poverty stricken areas of Chicago. I think that
shows that Obama genially wants to help others and is taking his own time to properly gather a better
understanding of the citizen s problems. Also we discussed if America has grown as a country, and if
the ideals from our parents have been bestowed to us their children. Has time truly changed is our
current generation much different from past generations? Since Obama was young he has lived a life
of struggles and hardships, from his mother and father not staying together. The constant moving
around even to different parts of the world. Obama has chosen to be the example that America has
seen. He has taken the hard times he has been dealt and focused on to try to help other people s
struggles. Obama had chosen to work in the community to fix the problems in Chicago. This speaks a

Essay on Status Of Transition From Socialism
Vietnam is a country whose economy is evolving. Its rapidly changing economy is facing significant
alterations in the process of transition. Vietnam is moving away from its current economy, which is a
non market socialist one, towards a market economy with a socialist orientation. Vietnam is one of the
poorest countries in the world with a Gross Domestic Product of only $300. High levels of population
along with the proper training will allow Vietnam to effectively use its number one resource, people.
Australia plays a key role in assisting Vietnam s economic growth and development through their aid

With the institution of Doi Moi the economy of Vietnam has experienced a very strong growth. The
past decade the Gross Domestic Product averaged 7.5%. Throughout the most recent years the growth
has not been as severe but still positive. It was gaining strength as 2000 began but has been slowing
down. There is still a positive growth but not as significant as in the mid 90s. See following chart for
the Real GDP Growth in %.
Towards the end of the 90s many factors accounted for this slow down. Economics reforms were
slowing as well. State owned enterprises and banks were becoming inefficient as well. This, along
with a decrease in demand and consumption, a decrease in foreign and local investing, as well as a
decrease in outputs all contributed to the slow down in economic growth. So, as this slow down
became evident, changes needed were made in order to increase the GDP. In the year 2000, certain
things happened which did in fact raise the growth in real GDP. The world economy was growing and
manufacturing and commodity prices were improving as well.

Men were to work and provide for his family. While woman were to stay home and care for their

Henrik Ibsen we see the character of Nora Helmer escape from this age s common gender role by
leaving her husband and children behind in search for her own happiness. While many could criticize

dehumanizes Nora and further reinforces Torvalds power. The symbol of money is a continuous
struggle throughout Torvald and Nora s marriage. Torvald belittles Nora for spending money the way
that she does. Torvald calls Nora a spendthrift and says that she is very foolish with money. Torvald
claims that Nora s lack of responsibility with money is due to being a woman. Torvald gives Nora
money to pay back a potter that they owed money to. And money to buy Christmas gifts for the

she paid the potter back. Torvald says Nora, Nora, how like a woman! (p852). This shows how greatly
the impact of gender mattered to Torvald in their marriage. Due to this constant criticism and

Hermione is a good student and would never disobey the rules but she lies for her new friends.
Hermione was the last person to do anything against the rules. . Ron and Harry break a rule by not

Conspiracy Theory And Conspiracy Theories
Trying to find out if a conspiracy theory is true or false is the hardest situation ever. There s just more
and more theories being brought to light each and every day. Conspiracy theories are said to be
explanations for an event that is manipulated by a group of people, usually used to cover up something
that s true. As the popularity of conspiracy theories blew up, they seemed to become more hostile.
Today s conspiracy theories seem to be believed by anyone, rather the information is legit or not.
Some are too weird to even believe in them and some aren t even close to being normal. Knowing that
some theories are true and some are false, it would be a crime to just ignore these conspiracies. There
are a lot of questions behind conspiracies. What is the type of people creating these theories? What is
the real definition? What keeps people so attached to something that s widely talked about from
different perspectives? An interesting quote that connects with this topic is The main thing that I

Healthcare Systems And Health Insurance
Throughout the course of history, healthcare has been evolving to accommodate the ever changing
needs of the human body. Along side the developing healthcare system, health insurance has been
modified too. To remain profitable, health insurance companies must change their policy to provide
coverage for the increasing demand of healthcare services. However, the expansion of healthcare
insurance also creates cracks in the system that need to be filled through improved healthcare reform
legislation. The main source of profit for healthcare insurance companies is through premiums that
they charge their clients for standard coverage. However, when these insurance companies are faced
with unexpected, expensive services to cover, they must have other sources of money to maintain
profit. Health insurance companies invest money that has been set aside and use interest to generate
extra profit. Because it may be years before the company has to pay out any insurance claims for an
individual, the company has a lot of time to make their investments. While the process of remaining
profitable through investments seems easy for insurance companies, this method may not work to
cover every individual. As medical advances find more ways to maintain life, the number of
chronically ill, older patients will increase. The growing number of older adults faces serious gaps in
financial coverage for long term care needs. With this aging population, insurance companies need to
change their policies

Volcanic Patterns
Plate Given: I was given the Australian Plate to study and make observations on.
Volcanic Patterns: There are few volcanoes below about 15 degrees latitude of the Australian Plate.
But, starting at about 15 degrees latitude the volcanoes grow more common. Starting around 90
degrees longitude the volcanoes grow quite dense all the way to 0 degrees latitude.
Earthquake depth patterns: However, much like with the volcanoes, starting a little distance after 90
degrees longitude and to about 0 degrees latitude the earthquakes grow very dense and there is a
combination of a few severe, some middling, and some small quakes. The earthquakes on the
Australian plate are not all extremely severe however, the entire plate seems to be edged by severe, ...

The Whitsundays are protected by the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. To fully understand
how this collection of islands came to be you need look far back in time to when the The Whitsundays
islands as we know them today were not in existence. Over 100 million years ago volcanoes were very
active in breaking what we know as Australia off from New Zealand, Africa, India, and other a few
other countries/continents that formed a supercontinent (Queensland Government Department of
National Parks, 2015). These volcanoes tossed up stone and ash for many years, which settled down
on already existing land masses and helped to form a solid bedrock, which in turn formed into dark
green rock, turned green by erosion of the ocean waves on the originally black bedrock (Queensland
Government Department of National Parks, 2015). During this time of a lot of volcanic activity the
earth s plates were moving, colliding, and breaking and this movement lead to a mountain range, that
would be known as the Whitsundays islands, being broken off from the Australian continent.
Eventually this range of mountains broke apart and formed the continental (once part of a continent)
Whitsunday islands (Queensland Government Department of National Parks, 2015). If you look at a
map of recent volcanic activity on the Australian plate today there seem to be no volcanoes in the area
of the Whitsunday islands and no earthquakes, indicating that for the moment these islands will

Domino Theory Vietnam War
During the Cold War, the world was in a dangerous place. Countries were competing against each
other to penetrate who has the biggest and strongest weapons. Countries were not fighting for freedom
in the same way they had previously fought in World War II, but instead they were fighting for
idealism. The results of countries creating governments that controlled what people did frightened the
world. The Domino Theory is now known as an example of the government using an unreasonable
fear to support a military minded agenda. The Domino Theory was used throughout many neighboring
countries such as Southeast Asia, South Vietnam, and North Vietnam.

as much as by the push for world revolution . The Domino Theory changed the world drastically

Patterns of Management Theory
THE MANAGEMENT THEORY JUNGLE
The purpose of this article is to identify the various schools of management theory, indicate the source
of the differences, and to provide some suggestions for disentangling the management theory jungle.
Koontz describes six schools of management theory as follows.
1. The Management Process School
The management process school views management as a process of getting things done with people
working in organized groups. Fathered by Henri Fayol, this school views management theory as a way
of organizing experience for practice, research and teaching. It begins by defining the functions of
management.
2. The Empirical School
The empirical school views management theory as a study of experience. Koontz mentions ... Show

For example, mathematics, operations research, accounting, economic theory, sociometry, and
psychology are significant tools of management, but they are not part of the content of the field.
2. Integration of Management and other Disciplines
3. The Clarification of Management Semantics
4. Willingness to Distill and Test Fundamentals
Criteria to Remember in Clarifying Management Theory
1. Management theory should deal with a manageable area of knowledge and inquiry.
2. Management theory should be useful in improving practice.
3. Management theory should not be lost in semantics, jargon not understandable to the practitioner.
4. Management theory should provide direction and efficiency to research and teaching.
5. Management theory must recognize that it is a part of a larger universe of knowledge and theory.
Koontz clarified the jungle like nature of management theory, first in the
Journal of the Academy of Management, then in Harvard Business Review.^
Business Week magazine noted it for the executive reader. Waino Suojauen,
Lyndall Urwick, and many others have leaped into the fray. William Frederick suggests that in ten
years we will see from this jungle emerge a general theory akin to Keynes General Theory of
Employment Interest and Money in the field of economics.^
There are many indications that a serious

The Environmental Hazards Of The United States
A common sight to a visitor on a beach in the U.S. is garbage that has been pitched by another person
or washed up on the beach, after it has been carelessly thrown away. All the carelessly disposed of
trash eventually accumulates, rather it be in one place, such as a landfill, or in many places just
dispersed and spread out, like litter. In 1997, Captain Charles Moore came across a large trash deposit,
while sailing in his boat, Alguita, in the pacific. What he encountered that day could only be described
as a floating continent of trash, which today has names such as trash vortex , plastic soup , and Eastern
Garbage Patch (Friedman 7 10). The mass of trash is still present today and is calculated to be twice
the size of the U.S., weighing in at around 100 million tons of trash (Friedman 7). This garbage patch
is one of the leading growing environmental hazards of the world today. The trash has been linked to
cancer, caused by the toxins released in the water from the plastics, the killing of seabirds, and the
killing of more than a 100,000 marine mammals each year (Friedman 9). This is one of the negative
effects human trash is having on the planet and how people are now turning to recycling to help
resolve problems similar to this. Today people in the U.S. alone produce 245 million tons of trash a
year, which helps contribute to problems like the trash vortex (Lazarus 13). Recycling would help cut
this trash flow significantly, while having other positive effects, if

Essay On Italian Unification
The dynamics of the Italian unification movement:
Italian Unification (Italian: Risorgimento, or The Resurgence ) it is the political movement that unified
the states of the Italian peninsula into a single country. Italy was ruled by a number of outside powers
including Spain, France, and the Holy Roman Empire early on and later, Bourbon and imperial France
and the Hapsburgs.
Factors of the success of Italian unification:
1. Napoleon united Italy again after the fall of the Holy Roman Empire from (1796 1815) during the
period of French revolution and Napoleonic wars. Various Italian states consolidated for a while, first
as republics and afterward as satellite conditions of the French realm
2. Napoleon reforms in education, law and economy spread equality and liberty
3. the Italian middle class developed in numbers and was permitted to participate in government
After Napoleon s defeat in 1815 and the settlement of Vienna congress, the Italian states were restored
to their former rulers. Secret societies, for example, the Carbonari restricted this improvement in the
1820s and 30s. The main avowedly republican and national group was Young Italy, established by
Giuseppe Mazzini in 1831. This society, which represented the Risorgimento, would have liked to
teach the Italian individuals to a feeling of their nationhood and to urge the majority to ascend against
the current regimes

Argumentative Essay On Elderly Drivers
It is unfortunate, but the elderly are making the headlines daily, whether it is mistaking the gas for
brake pedal or failing to see an oncoming car before making a turn, and the list is endless. Impaired
elderly drivers tend to be the leading cause in fatal accidents (Kim, H., Ashton Miller, J. 2012).
Elderly people tend to experience degeneration of their senses such as declining eyesight including
lack of peripheral vision, and hearing that can affect the decisions a person makes as they are driving
(Mihm, L. 2014). Elderly drivers should be retested for several reasons. As people age their reaction
time decreases. Another reason is that as people get older their vision often starts to deteriorate along
with their hearing. I believe that if we retest elderly people then it will help save their lives and the ...

There is no magic age when someone needs to give up the rights to drive. Health problems are
common with the elderly. Which results in diminished driving skills that tend to slower reaction time,
hearing problems, depth perception changes, vision problems, decreased in ability to focus, anxiety
and nervousness behind the wheel at times. (Kim, H., Ashton Miller, J. 2012). One should keep in
mind that a young adult can have a sudden onset of a disability due to accident which can disable them
as well, such as the previously mentioned conditions. Now one is left with the conundrum of how
soon the state would be notified of someone that obtained a disability that would affect their
perception or sight before acting, seeing they are not a flagged age range to limit renewal online.

Narrative Essay On Maria Carson And Jessie
Late on a Saturday afternoon, Maria Carson and her friend, Jessie, sat working on their history
assignment at the local library. Jessie was a procrastinator, so Maria had to constantly coax and push
her to progress through the assignment in order to finish it on time. Even that Saturday afternoon,
Jessie wanted to catch a movie instead and Maria felt quite annoyed and disappointed with her
attitude. Frustrated, Maria designated the remaining tasks evenly deciding to meet again at a later date
and left for home. It was a muggy summer s evening and of course with her luck, there was a curtain
like downpour of rain as she made a dash to her car. Distracted and irate, Maria drove into the grey
twilight of nightfall with the limited vision the weather ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She felt good to be so loved. At school the following week, the students also showed a lot of care and
concern and put up lovely notes and messages for her to find on her locker, but then she was always
the smart and popular kid. As things settled and she went to the school cafeteria over lunch, she waved
out to her friends, Jessie and Rebecca, who completely ignored her. To make it worse, they sat in the
booth right behind her, which is how she overheard them talking about her. The truth hurts but it doesn
t kill; but sometimes it is better not to know. Maria overheard Jessie reveal how she really felt about
her. Maria thought, What?! Me, judgemental, arrogant and demanding? How nasty of her! Later at the
change rooms before sports she heard, from behind the cubical door, the girls banter, Have you heard
what happened to Maria? ...she always a bit of a show pony though. Maria always believed that real
friends say good things behind your back and bad things to your face, but this was the other way
around. These were fake friends who were like shadows who followed you in the sun but left you in
the dark. Pondering on these sudden and sad revelations, Maria went home to find some comfort only
to find a mayhem of cars parked just outside the house. The house is busy but quiet for a get together.

Renaissance and Nineteenth Century Architecture
There are many different styles of architecture. All these styles depend on the time period, and the
architecture. Today, many architects incorporate many styles into one building, giving it uniqueness.

The dictionary defines architecture as the art and science of designing and erecting buildings

Since the beginning of civilization, architects have been designing structures and buildings. They are

Nineteenth Century: Iron, Glass and Steel
The nineteenth century saw some changes from the previous artistic periods. This period contained
practical ideas, still with a sort of creative though.
Buildings and towers were built with steel and iron beams and supports. Glass covered steel/iron webs
to create walls, large window, and sunroofs .
A famous architect from this time period is Alexandre Gustave Eiffel.
He built the Eiffel Tower, Bon Marchà Department Store, The Nice
Observatory and The Garabit Bridge.
Following this period was the modern period. Many of the styles and ideas were carried to the Modern
period, and built into designs in a whole different perspective, as now there were different
architectures with different ideas and dreams.
Saint Peter s
Saint Peter s church is located in Vatican City, Rome, which is located in Italy. The architect Donato
Bramate designed it, and it was to embody the greatness of the present and the future…and surpass all
the other churches in the universe. (Julius II (1505 13)). Bramate had built the church to represent the
roman cross. It is known to one of the most concentrated pieces of Renaissance art.
It was created to replace the great basilica (temple), which had been designed by Constantine the
Great. This temple had been built over the apostle, St. Peter s grave.
Construction of the church began in 1507, and the materials used to create St. Peter s were

How The Recent Acquisition Of Sunseeker Yachts
How the Recent Acquisition of Sunseeker Yachts by Dalian Wanda affected Brand Equity
Name: Daniel Cripps
Student Number: 149029371
Word Count: 1675 Introduction
From humble beginnings, Sunseeker have evolved from being a brand, to a global icon. Producing the
finest motoryachts the world has ever seen (Sunseeker, 2015). From this statement found plastered on
Sunseeker s home page it is clear to see the position the brand wishes to occupy in the mind of
consumers. While they provide a function in the form of transport and accommodation, their brand is
evidently a symbol of luxury and the epitome of the lavish lifestyle. At the centre of this position is the
British heritage of yacht building, universally acknowledged as among the finest in the world.
Sunseeker has enjoyed a positive Country of Origin (COO) effect for decades. However since 2013
when 91.8% of the company was acquired by Dalian Wanda Group, a Chinese conglomerate, the
brand identity and equity is at risk from poor COO associations related to the Chinese ownership. This
essay will explore, through the use of academic models and literature as well as carefully selected
aspects from Sunseeker s situation, the possible effects on brand equity as a result of the acquisition.
The main areas of discussion are; whether COO effect plays a significant role in brand equity, the
methods used by Sunseeker to control the COO effect and their degrees of success and finally whether
the same issues apply in Asia and

Why Do Books Shouldn T Be Banned
Books shouldn t be banned and i say this with a bold confident voice. The book challenges such as
sexually explicit or offensive language or even violence helps to teach the reader not to do these things
readers understand it s just a book and nothing more in fact the reader will take out a lot out of books
like that because it teaches them the effects and consequences if that reader did decide to go down one
of those paths. I believe strongly that us American citizens we are free and by them banning books
from us it s them take away our rights and freedoms.
In text one in the beginning it talks about how we the people are given free speech and by them doing
this they are taking away this right from us and it will only get worse. Text one lines 1 3 Most
Americans agree that the First Amendment right to freedom of expression is one of the most sacred
provisions of the US Constitution, a cornerstone of American democratic values.
Book banning is something that is so unnecessary it does nothing but away the rights of the people if
the book is to sexual or violent to read then you as a US citizen have the right to not read it you aren t
forced upon it. In the beginning of text 4 one school ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Secret Life Of The Brain On The Babies Brain Summary
Within the video the Secret Life of the Brain on the babies brain , which is the first episode, focuses
on the formation of the infant brain. Taking an in depth examination on the factors of brain
development: brain organization, the roles of genetics, and environment. With just a matter of a few
weeks after conception brain cells begin to form spontaneously at a rather alarming rate. From birth to
age one an infant s brain is primarily formed through external influences and experiences. When the
brain is developing it is creating neurons, which are specialized cell transmitting nerve impulses, a
nerve cell. Just a small piece of the brain contains thousands of nerve cells within it. Neurons never
reproduce themselves and are very rarely replaced by others. The brain cells form quite rapidly
roughly just four weeks into the process. When the fetus is growing the neurons make their way out of
the neutral cube to build the brain layer upon layer. The brain builds connections very rapidly nearly a
couple million every second and it begins to wire itself by following a genetic blue print. Neurons
travel in waves, millions each day, which scientists like to call migration. After twenty four weeks the
vital organs of the body are formed, for example, the heart begins to beat on ... Show more content on

Figurative Language In Mirrors By Justin Timberlake
The song Mirrors by Justin Timberlake has a lot of figurative language I will prove a couple cases
where that is true.
Mirrors by Justin Timberlake has a lot of simile. A simile is a figure of speech involving the
comparison of one thing with another thing of a different kind. It is used to make a description more
empathic or vivid. The quote it s like you re my mirror from the song is a simile you know for a fact
that it is a simile because a person cannot be a mirror. So Justin Timberlake is comparing a mirror to a
person. A mirror and a person are nothing alike so you can automatically see that it is a direct
comparison.

biggest reform movements throughout Iranian society. One reform, such as greater access to higher

One of the biggest points of controversy in the course of Reza Shah s rule was the abolition of the

The purpose of this paper is to discuss relevant research regarding a number of concepts related to group cohesion including: leadership behavior, team development and group cohesion as a mediator. Leadership Factors Across many sports, research has provided empirical support for the connection between coaching elements and team cohesion (Crocker, 2016). Specific coaching elements identified as being positively related to group cohesion include: the quality of training and instruction, social support, positive feedback and leadership style (Yarmey, 2013). In the YouTube clip, Al Pacino s Any Given Sunday Speech , the coach appears to demonstrate effective leadership skills promoting the team s cohesion. In his motivational speech, a degree of social support is provided through the fostering of a positive atmosphere. In addition, he provides instructions for the team s success by emphasizing that the group must work as a team in order to be successful in their upcoming game. Unfortunately, this clip offers little insight into the coach s decision styles (an important leadership factor related to group cohesion). Two opposing coaching leadership styles have been found to influence team cohesion: the autocratic style and the democratic style. While the autocratic style involves independent decision making by the coach, the democratic style stresses joint decision making and the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. William Wordsworth s The World Is Too Much With Us Completely unaware? Do you notice the things that surrounds us, and the life that lives within us? Care to much or not at all?, want it all? Or have you no love within your heart. Do you dream? Or create? Do you see the nature all around us? Those were many of the thoughts and questions that ran through my head when reading the poem The World Is Too Much With Us , by William Wordsworth. Throughout the story there were three messages that stood out the most in Wordsworth s poem, which involve love, the power to not care and be greedy, and creation within the mind. In the poem the writing can be taken and understood many different ways, but one thing that stood out to me was the message of love. Now not necessarily love for one another but love for nature was expressed throughout the poem through various ways. We have given our hearts away, a Sordid boon! (Wordsworth, Line, 5). What William was trying to explain in just that line was we would give our hearts away to nature at any point, because it s the love for the way that nature is and all its beauty and peace. It can so easily capture our hearts to love nature and all it has to offer. Furthermore, Wordsworth, talks a lot and describes a lot about what nature does. For instance. He talks about how the sea is at night time, how the wind has a sort of howl to it, and that also really shows the love for nature that is expressed in this poem. And even the love that the narrator has for nature and its beauty. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The citadels of the Harappa culture provide modern society with information regarding the architecture and consequently their religious practices. However, there are some aspects of the Harappa culture that are still unknown to this day. For example, there is little evidence regarding the culture s manner of disposal. Consequently, we lack the knowledge of the Harappa s religious convictions. After the fall of the Harappa culture, the Indo Europeans embraced language as a means of understanding. These forms of communications include hymns, rituals treatises, and philosophical texts. Despite the Veda s diverse form of communication many people do not have access to sacred texts. This restrictive access to sacred texts begs the question, to what extent does religious exclusivity help or hinder religious development? While it is important to maintain the original message of the Vedas, it is also important to distribute true teaching so that students can act and think in a cohesive manner. The Veda s source of revelation was not a deity. Instead three schools were formed to communicate the teachings of the Veda. The reading states, In every generation, specialists in Vedic hermeneutics have worked to make texts messages relevant to the particular time and place (p.35). It is interesting how Vedic hermeneutics have effectively altered the way Hinduism is received. They have effectively altered the way Hinduism is received by tailoring the religion to societies needs. I have always subscribed to the ideas of Karma and Samsara. Though I do not subscribe to the idea of death. I believe that life is a continuation of an infinite reality. I am unsure of the idea of karma because good and evil are relative terms. Truth, in religion, should be universal. It is true that in order to achieve liberation, one must obtain a transformative experiential wisdom. Societies focus on external development make obtaining this experiential wisdom increasingly difficult. • 8. The Union Of The European Union Brexiters are desperate and angry with everything and everyone that suggests that the British people should vote to remain in the European Union in the 23 June 2016 referendum. The recent victim of their desperation and ire has been no less a personage than the US President Barrack Obama himself. President Obama was in London recently to wish the Queen her happy 90th birthday and help Prime Minister David Cameron win the referendum in which the British people will vote whether they want to remain in the EU or leave. The Leave campaigners have sought to create a bubble that Britain outside the EU will be a prosperous paradise at the center of the universe, free from pesky European countries. But Obama punctured their bubble by announcing that Britain outside the EU will be less powerful, less secure, and less prosperous, and it will have to wait for five to 10 years to sign a trade agreement with the United States. That was shattering for the Leave campaign. Boris Johnson, the leader of the Leave campaign and mayor of London, was so angry that he descended into the invective. He said President Obama had anti colonial mindset obtained from his Kenyan father. Although the reference was made to the removal of British Prime Minister Churchill s from the Oval Office, the mayor was angry because of his intervention on behalf of the Remain campaign. • 9. A Speech On The Police Officer Removed The Chair Of A... After the police officer removed the handcuffs from the chair and guided the patient back to his cell, Dr. Wussah turned to me and said: We are not God nor the Devil. We do not hold the wooden gavel. We cannot work if we do not have space in this room, our minds, and our heart. I returned with a smile. Growing up as the daughter of a lawyer, the image of the wooden gavel has long been a symbol of authority, judgement, and choice. It represents a path some encouraged me towards and thought I would follow. During my early childhood, teachers and family members often commented on my out of the box thinking. I was always reading, an information sponge, and observing and questioning the world around me. This curious disposition led me to the mahogany booths of my father s Irish Pub, where I observed the patrons and created stories of their lives in my drawings and writings. Outside of the pub, sat Tony. He rarely spoke and seldom smiled. One day, I went over and sat next to him on his bench to see what the Nancy Drew in me could uncover. This man, like me, was missing most of his teeth. But he, unlike me, was not waiting for his permanent teeth to arrive. I had to devise a plan to get this man to smile again. As the resident tooth puller on Lincoln Street, I looked forward to an opportunity to utilize my hands. • 10. The Self Centered, Me Mentality, A Character Flaw That... A self centered, me mentality, is a character flaw that many Americans struggle with. Consider the man that was cautioned by his mother to become financially stable in his life before having children. He did not heed her advice and created three children before completing college. The choices he made resulted in him working long hours, paying endless amounts of child support, and having no time for a social life of his own. He chronically complains and while he created his own storm, he got upset when it rained (Tagore). While some people wisely accept personal responsibility for the situations they have created due to choices and decisions they chose to make, others are quick to use self justification methods and therefore lack the ability to take responsibility for their own lives. According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, narcissism is an excessive interest in one s self; or self centeredness arising from failure to distinguish the self from external objects (Merriam Webster.com). This is a contributing factor of the growing problem of many Americans whom refuse to acknowledge their unproductive behaviors. If it seems like responsibility shirking is on the rise, it may not be your imagination. Narcissism has risen 30% among college students since 1979, and studies show their self confidence is at an all time high (artofmanliness.com). People are very focused on themselves and do not care about the consequences of their actions. This is causing major ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Clostridium Difficile Analysis Clostridium difficile is a gram positive bacterium responsible for over 10,000 deaths annually in the United States alone. C. difficile is an opportunistic pathogen that has progressively become antibiotic resistant in several strains. The bacterium strives in hosts currently taking antibiotics where there is no competition between commensal microbiota. Common known symptoms of C. difficile infections (CDIs) include diarrhea, fever, and toxic megacolon. Primary virulent factors of the bacterium currently being researched are the endotoxins, C. difficile toxin A (TcdA) and B (TcdB). Both toxins bind to receptors of gut epithelial cells and are endocytosed leading to the inactivation of Rho type GTPases. With the activity of these enzymes nullified, the cytoskeleton of cells are unstable and eventually die (Hernandez, et al., 2015). The use of mAbs for CDIs could replace the use of antibiotics and vaccines used for CDIs, severely reducing relevant medical expenses so it is expected the market is pretty high. MK 3415A and other related mAbs are still undergoing research and clinical trials so bioprocessing protocols to produce mass amounts are not yet available. • 12. Epicureanism Reflection After class discussions, have you had any realizations or made any changes in regard to the philosophies that influences your decisions, actions, or preferences? Has your level of conscious choice to these philosophies changed? Why or why not? Answer: Before Humanities 210, my processes for decision making and preference development were based on more mental pleasure than physical pleasure. Happiness was the ideal feeling and I would try to feel happy as long as possible. Having wonderful relationships with family and friends, making wise decisions, and thinking of ways to improve life were the most important goals to achieve happiness. However, when moments of extreme happiness emerged, great sadness followed. Although it was unclear at the time, I was following the concepts of Epicureanism. Richard Paul Janaro and Thelma C. Altshuler, authors of The Art of Being Human: The Humanities as a Technique for Living, say that Epicureanism believes complete happiness is a moderate amount of pleasure with freedom from pain (338). Thus, I realized moderation of pleasure regulates feelings of sadness. My belief in Epicureanism developed as I recalled periods of suffering and realized I became happy as the suffering subsided. Regarding religion, my parents and grandmother practice Buddhism, but they never forced it on me and my sisters so the religion is not as familiar. However, learning about Buddhism was interesting as it is applicable to everyday life. One salient ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Young Goodman Brown: The Value of Dreams Young Goodman Brown The Birthmark Nathaniel Hawthorne s stories Young Goodman Brown and The Birthmark both make use of dreams to affect the story and reveal the central characters. With each story, the dreams presented are extremely beneficial to the development of the story as they give the reader a new view of the plot itself, or the characters within. At the same time, however, it becomes difficult to determine how much of the dream has been affected by the character, and how much is pure fantasy. After a night of making deals with the Devil, having all of his fellow countrymen show their Satanic sympathies and himself becoming affiliated with the Fallen Angel, Brown understandably looks to account these incredible events to a dream state. However, Brown acts coldly towards Faith after that particular night, and completely changes his demeaner as he begins to question whether the dream was, in fact, a dream, or reality. What may have been but a dream turns out to haunt Brown for the rest of his life, as he can no longer accept the people in his life for what they appear to be, and can not forget that he saw them all at the witch meeting. In contrast, is the debatable question of whether or not the dream was only a wild dream (Hawthorne, 318). If Young Goodman Brown indeed did dream of the witch meeting, then he has wasted his life with his unrestrained, unrelenting paranoia. Because of the ambiguity of the situation, where neither the reader, narrator nor protagonist can be sure of the validity of the dream s depictions of the residents of Salem, Hawthorne makes it difficult of analyze Brown s character. It it therefore impossible to come to any absolute conclusions regarding the nature of Young Goodman Brown as one cannot accurately assess what has happened to him, and the consequences of those events. This text shows another side to Obama that many of us has never seen of him before. In class my group and I covered chapters 12 13; our group discussed some of the ideas of Obamas character. As we discussed his experiences early in his career in the community of Chicago had helped him in the future, for his presidency. The text we read showed a lot about Obama as a person it helped me understand Obama even more. Obama is a caring man that only wants to help, for him to help the community he has to understand the problems they are facing. Obama takes time to talk to citizens in poverty stricken areas of Chicago. I think that shows that Obama genially wants to help others and is taking his own time to properly gather a better understanding of the citizen s problems. Also we discussed if America has grown as a country, and if the ideals from our parents have been bestowed to us their children. Has time truly changed is our current generation much different from past generations? Since Obama was young he has lived a life of struggles and hardships, from his mother and father not staying together. The constant moving around even to different parts of the world. Obama has chosen to be the example that America has seen. He has taken the hard times he has been dealt and focused on to try to help other people s struggles. Economics reforms were slowing as well. State owned enterprises and banks were becoming inefficient as well. This, along with a decrease in demand and consumption, a decrease in foreign and local investing, as well as a decrease in outputs all contributed to the slow down in economic growth. So, as this slow down became evident, changes needed were made in order to increase the GDP. In the year 2000, certain things happened which did in fact raise the growth in real GDP. • 35. The Secret Life Of The Brain On The Babies Brain Summary Within the video the Secret Life of the Brain on the babies brain , which is the first episode, focuses on the formation of the infant brain. Taking an in depth examination on the factors of brain development: brain organization, the roles of genetics, and environment. With just a matter of a few weeks after conception brain cells begin to form spontaneously at a rather alarming rate. From birth to age one an infant s brain is primarily formed through external influences and experiences. When the brain is developing it is creating neurons, which are specialized cell transmitting nerve impulses, a nerve cell. Just a small piece of the brain contains thousands of nerve cells within it. Neurons never reproduce themselves and are very rarely replaced by others. The brain cells form quite rapidly roughly just four weeks into the process. When the fetus is growing the neurons make their way out of the neutral cube to build the brain layer upon layer. The brain builds connections very rapidly nearly a couple million every second and it begins to wire itself by following a genetic blue print. Neurons travel in waves, millions each day, which scientists like to call migration. After twenty four weeks the vital organs of the body are formed, for example, the heart begins to beat on ... Everest The issue of Mt.Everest and whether it should be open to the public or not is an issue that has recently risen as many mountaineers do not like the idea of it as it is an exhilarating thing to do that gives them a sense of achievement and although there are many risks and challenges people enjoy the activity and believe that it should stay open to the public. The two hour liturgy consisted of five parts: chanting, zazen, kinhin, zazen and chanting. While I value meditation and prayer, I found zazen difficult, thus respect and admire those who identify with Buddhist spirituality. The beginning introduction included chanting in English and Japanese. The Abbot, or priest began the 10 minute chanting rhythm, which all members chanted. The esthetically pleasing chanting reminded members of oneself and the universe. Also, one s breath flowed with the words. I had a difficult time connecting breath with the long worded sentences. During the first 40 minute mediation, zazen, instructions included ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
