Since 01.01.2021, Autobahn GmbH has taken over management of the entire German federal highway network of approx. 13,000 km. In Germany this was previously the task of the federal states. In this presentation the tasks of developing a centralised spatial data infrastructure, a digital twin as well as the realisation of specialised applications at the Autobahn GmbH will be outlined. TIM-GeO is short for ‘Technical Information Management with geo and object referencing’. Via this platform, spatial data is centralised, processed and managed. For this, FME technology is widely used to support data processing. This includes, among other things, the creation of the database via automated processes, the preparation of the schema via a self-learning process and the integration and quality assurance of the data. A separate presentation will report on the use of FME technology in the Autobahn GmbH. Based on the data various applications are realized on the platform TIM-GeO. Just in time for the first launch of Autobahn GmbH, a frontend GIS platform was provided via cloud-based services. After that a road condition detection and assessment was implemented followed by an app include bridge structure information portals and an app for the tree inspection.
