I. Abstract
The purpose of this water experiment is to compare two sources of waters and see if they would affect
the growth of beans. For the purpose of this test, multiple samples were implemented to gather results
with as much accuracy as possible. Every two days a study of our beans was conducted. Measuring
the growth/length of each bean. 40 samples were used. The team hypothesized that the water from
Foster Lake would grow plants faster than the water from Kanakadea Creek due to the bio diverse
nature of the lake and its inhabitants. The results gathered show a surprising find in this study.
II. Introduction
Water is the most natural thing we have on earth. It sustains many organisms and those organisms
depend on it almost daily. Plants are such organisms. For this study the focus is the growth of beans.
Over the course of two weeks my team and I conducted research comparing the two types of waters
that were selected and seeing if they had any significant differences in growing beans. The first week
was inconclusive due to bean rot and negligence. Test two led to a more constant observation of
growth and change of location. Results gathered from this experiment have shown a difference that

How often is capital punishment used effectively? Many cases are thrown out from issues with
evidence or lack of proper chemicals to use. Some people believe this is because of human right
activists fighting against it. However, many cases have had falsified evidence; There also has been

not be used in the United States legal system. There is bias and corruption in the legal system that can

Taxes cost significantly more than they would without capital punishment. According to Marshall
Frank, Studies have shown that the death penalty is 2 3 times more costly than if capital punishment
did not exist; much of the cost stems from endless appeals (par. 10). Also, the resentencing of cases is

Abstract
The sclerenchyma ring in the stem of Phaseolus lunatus, commonly known as lima bean, was
measured in relation to the wavelength of light they were grown in (650, 475 nm). It was hypothesized
that wavelength of light affects plant growth. It was predicted that plants grown when exposed to red
light (650 nm) would grow taller and therefore have thicker sclerenchyma cell rings . The results of
the t test failed to support both the hypothesis and prediction (P = 0.444599). When compared to other
studies, this experiment appears to have skewed data; therefore, although the hypothesis was rejected,
there is still evidence supporting the concept of a full spectrum of light is essential for proper plant

semester. A few that stood out to me, personally, were the topics of laissez faire economics, separate
but equal issues, and the viewpoints of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. From the tenth edition
of the course book We the People, Texas Ed. by Benjamin Ginsberg and Unit 2 of the lecture; a policy
