This document lists the photographers and photo editors who participated in the 2008 Photo Art Quests project at the Takoma Park Maryland Library. It also describes the sources of photographs used - including personal photos, public domain images found online, and objects scanned. The participants used the free and open-source GIMP photo editing program on various computers running Linux distributions like Fedora and Ubuntu to edit the images. The project was designed by CMA Medeiros with support from the Friends of the Library.

23. Photo Art Quests 2008 Photographers and photo editors: Jayna, Jessica, Kidus, Maidot, Ndenko, Ryan, Sabrina, Taryn, Vida, Zack, Brian, Conner, Deja, Fatou, George, Hunter, India and Keegan. Sources: Original photographs made with some elderly, floppy-disk Mavicas, family and personal photos (scanned if not already digital), various objects placed on the scanner bed, and public domain (we hope) photographs found on the web. Editing: the participants used GIMP which is a free, open-source photo editing program, on our various computers, all running Linux – the multi-station public computers (Userful / Fedora), our laptop (Fedora) and our office scanning / printing station (Ubuntu).
