Editor's Notes
I did not realise ‘cloud’ was a rude word.
I’ve just been through my presentation and done a find and replace. But I am not sure what to replace it with.
Truphone SIM necklace
This slide shows very simply the Traditional mobile package against the unique Truphone offering , It’s imperative the customer understands the multiple numbers are on one single sim.
Truphone is a new approach to global communication – a single, unified network.
Global approach – the way telecoms should have been from the start; consistent and seamless
Unified infrastructure allows unique features, such as The Truphone Zone
Overcome limitations imposed by traditional networks
Does not require new hardware or training – your phone is the same in every regard.
But what does that mean in practice?
Our customers range from six of the eight largest banks in the world, to football teams, to oil and gas companies and motorcycles.
All are inherently global – born global – no matter how large or small they are.
For Fitflop, for example, Truphone simplified communications to reduce mobile spend by 93%.
iBAHN, an IT supplier in the entertainment industry, called Truphone the holy grail of mobile communications.
And Lucidus, an investment fund, has improved mobile visibility and compliance while reducing mobile costs by 84%.
I’ve just been to a conference on Consciousness and there are people asking what does it feel like to be a table. If Consciousness is universal…
We have a small RAN in Bozeman Montana
It’s the size of a small European Country. And we used it to perfect out technology.
Entrance to Yellowstone Park.
Number 2 best place to live in the USA.
I guess it’s a badge of honour to have some RAN. And your not a real Mobile Engineer until you have scared yourself silly by going up a cell tower.
We are a traditional Telco
Rather than OTT…
But all telcos are OTT in a 4G World
They are over the top of themselves.
2 central control pops.
6 distributed data centers.
BUT THE BETTER IMAGE IS
The SIM neclace
We have two main data centers in London and Amsterdam and 6 distributed around the World.
We have integrated 8 countries on our platform
It is a full Core with the exception of the RAN.
Working with a Number of opensource Groups including a spin out group from Truphone labs to solve this problem.
So let me show you the work we have been doing with them…
Alan’s question How developers are important to the $2trilllion dollar telecoms industry.
This is how twitter etc. was founded but also how a lot of things in big companies gets started.
An open source API stack
An open source Network with switch ability.
An open ‘run’ environment.
SIMs that you can use and sell. (Truphone branding, sometime cobranded, sometimes white label)
A billing revenue share system.
Its like the Apple app store or Google Play but at the NETWORK level.
Note this is apples data center and Ubuntu is not on it. But it’s a cool picture.
The Farm has cows but no coverage – Still
We do have Fiber to the Field and Wi-Fi
