12. Wildlife Conservation Society Indonesia Program
The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) has a distinguished history of experts exploring and saving wildlife in some of the most remote and wild places remaining on
Earth. WCS Indonesia Program (WCS-IP) has contributed substantially in supporting the Government of Indonesia (GoI), particularly Ministry of Environment and
Forestry (MoEF) in conserving Indonesia’s biodiversity. WCS-IP currently has five thematic programs: Forest, Marine, Wildlife Trade and Policy, Rights & Communities;
and One Health. WCS’s approaches are to strengthen support for science, media and society; from wildlife population surveys to mitigating human-wildlife conflicts,
building capacity, improving livelihoods of the communities at the forest frontier and coastal areas, assisting in the process of key policy reforms, working in partnership
with broad range of stakeholders includes national and local Governments, CSOs, universities, local communities, and private sector to support wildlife conservation.
