Dominant Hand And Reaction Time Essay
`The Effect of Hand Dominance on Reaction Time by Rachel Cook
Abstract
From the literature, it is apparent that the hemispheres of the brain are responsible for
different actions and functions. The experiment was done to test if one hand had a
faster reaction time than the other, and if so, we wanted to find out if the dexterity
was associated with the brain s function in relation to each hand. The experiment
compared the reaction times of the dominant hands and non dominant hands of 4
college students. A computer program inside the lab measured the reaction timeby
recording data from each subject after every completion of a test. The computer
program required the subjects to click the spacebar once the subject recognized that
the letter on the screen was one of the letters from the original set. The dominant hand
(mean reaction time 0.625 sec) was almost the same reaction time as the non
dominant hand (mean ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Introduction
The purpose of this experiment was to find out whether or not an individual s reaction
time was affected by his/her dominant or non dominant hand. Our group was
interested in investigating whether or not hand dominance plays a role in a person s
reaction time. According to Helms et al. (1998) reaction time is defined as the length
of time it takes to begin a response to a stimulus. There have been three basic kinds of
reaction time experiments named (Luce, 1986; Welford, 1980). They are simple
reaction time experiments, recognition reaction time experiments, and choice
reaction time experiments. Simple reaction time experiments have only one stimulus
and one response (Luce, 1986; Welford, 1980). Three of the computer programs
corresponded with this experiment: X at a known location, spot the dot, and reaction
to sound. Symbol recognition and tone recognition were two computer programs that
represented a recognition reaction time experiment because there are some stimuli
that should be responded to and
E Commerce Disadvantages
Whether you are an eCommerce owner or a web user, client or customer, you ve
come to the conclusion that simple online forms do not always give customer
service satisfaction and may even cause a sale, product or service to fall down a
cyber crack.
The Wind of Change Is Blowing In eCommerce Websites
On the internet, interactivity, or being able to engage a client or customer with your
customer service or commercial website in general, is crucially important. However,
as things change so fast on the web, so do perceptions as well.
One case in point is the perception that there s a lack of live chat support staffers
who actually know what they re doing and how to give solutions from simple
problems to next level problems.
Another perception fast changing is that live chat support agents can t be understood
because the outsourcing platform of the site has hired personnel who are not
proficient in the dominant language of the eCommerce site.
If you re thinking of going or expanding your commercial website, then read below
for some effective benefits you ll find for your business site.

Conflict Resolution At Blessing Hospital
Conflict Resolution at Blessing Hospital Conflict occurs in every setting of
everyday life. Whether it is between a co worker, someone that is seen in passing, or
even with a complete stranger. Most of the time, resolution will occur with a conflict,
in order to de escalate the situation, especially in a health care setting. This helps the
outcome for those involved, along with the care that is provided to patients. As
simple minded as it may sound, some conflicts are not resolved, which in turn, affects
the care that is provided to patients within the hospitalsetting. Conflicts occur in
stages, involve collaboration to resolve, and need rationale in order to help everyone
overcome them.

Conflict occurs in different stages. According to Finkelman, (2013) there is felt
conflict, latent conflict, perceived conflict, and manifested conflict. Latent conflict
involved anticipation of conflict. Perceived conflict is a stage that requires
recognition that a conflict exists while felt conflict occurs when individuals have
feelings about conflict. Manifest conflict occurs when the conflict is overt. The
mentioned example showed a true definition of a felt conflict. Both Nurse A and B
became emotional and anticipated the conflict. They both went on with their plans,
feeling upset and angered about the conflict that had occurred. The attitudes and
anger clung with the nurses and it was very evident throughout the rest of the shift.
Patient care was lessened on night shift due to the lack of communication between
the nurses and aid. Nurse A left work mad and carried her mood home to her family.
Resolving Conflict With Collaboration Collaboration, especially in this situation
could have caused both nurses and the aid to avoid the conflict all together. Day shift
tends to be more hectic than night shift, therefore, each could have
Summary Of The Sound And The Fury And Absalom
In Faulkner s works, both the land and the people of the South struggle under the
monumental weight of myth and history. In fact, certain calamity looms over his
fictional region of Yoknahpatwah, a microcosm of the postbellum South. Themes of
the Southern consciousness, such as inescapable past and present, inherited guilt, and
emotional and psychological stagnation pervade this fictional region. In The Sound
and the Fury (1929) and Absalom, Absalom! (1936), Faulkner s portrayal of two
Southern aristocratic families, the Compsons and the Sutpens, reveal Southerners
paradoxical attitudes towards the myths of the South: the refusal to forget the past
and the inability to live in the present. Both The Sound and the Fury and Absalom,

Problem of Historical Time
Time is a vital component in understanding Faulkner s treatment of the Southern
history. Faulkner s characters all experience frustration with past. In Faulkner s
novels, time is a function of history in which a complete engagement of tension
between history and myth occurs. If historical time is a progression of change that
extends into and shapes the present, mythic time produces a sense of stasis and
circularity in which one feels stuck. The conflict between history and myth arises
from Faulkner s personal experience as a Southerner; like many Southerners of his
time, Faulkner was searching for a lost time while struggling to reconcile with the
questionable past of his region. In his interviews, Faulkner made clear the
presentness that the past (particularly the Civil War) had for him. In a class
conference held at the University of Virginia in 1957, he said no man is himself,
he is the sum of his past. There is no such thing really as was because the past is
(129). When asked in 1958 about the Civil War veterans he knew as a boy, Faulkner
related that:
They didn t talk so much about that war. I had got that from the maiden, spinster
aunts which had never surrendered. But I can remember the old men, and they
would get out the old shabby gray uniforms and get out the old battle flag on
Decoration, Memorial Day. Yes, I remember any number of them. (Howe 249)
In this quote, Faulkner expresses an ambivalent feeling towards
Nike Under Armour
The athletic industry is very competitive and it contains many well known and
large companies. Three many companies within the athletic market are Nike,
Adidas and Under Armour; Nike being one of the largest. Despite stiff competition
within the industry Nike has managed to maintain its title of being the top brand.
Nike, Adidas and Under Armour are the largest brands in the athletic/sportswear
monopolistic market. As of 2015, Nike s revenue was $30.1 billion, the revenue of
Adidas was $4.57 billion, while Under Armour s revenue was $3.96 billion.
Though all of the companies are large, Nike has a little more than 60% of the brand

established. This broad range of products and product types is one of the reasons
that Nike has maintained its high position in the market, in that it appeals and has
appealed to a larger and more varied selection of customers. Adidas currently has
three brands under the Adidas group: Adidas, Reebok and Taylormade; the
different brands address the different types of consumers. Both Adidas and Reebok
brands have a strong market share. However, Taylormade has a low market share,
and therefore is not benefiting Adidas to the full of its potential, especially when
compared to Nike s Converse brand which by itself owns 2% of the brand share of

which is broken into four major segments: apparel, footwear, accessories and
connected fitness. Despite their broad differentiation, Under Armour does not
currently own any brands. Overall, Nike has a broader and more established range

The Normal Operation Of A Botnet
A.Botnet Life cycle
Processes involved in the normal operation of a botnet has no comprehensive
approach to either the stages encompassing the life cycle, or the lack of
compartmentalization between them (see Figure 1, Botnet Life cycle Taxonomy).
Apart from normal operations, so far there s no qualitative analysis on how these
stages should be characterized, defined, or distinguished. A proposed botnetlife cycle
stage starts with conception and ends with reaching the desired malicious intent, i.e. a
successful attack and can include DDoS, spam, phishing, or click fraud.
Corresponding mechanisms to these stages of the botnet life cycle are typically
focused on attempting to hide the botnet (communication processes, location of the
bots, and botmaster), some of these methods include IP spoofing, multi hopping,
polymorphism, and fast flux networks. (GarcД±a Teodoro, Macia Fernandez,
RodrД±guez Gomez, 2012). Any defensive approach to overcoming a botnet is
dedicated to preventing execution of a particular process in one of the botnet life
cycle stages or combine processes in one or more stages. Deterring execution of a
single stage in the botnet life cycle can thwart a malicious and devastating outcome.
In principle, prevention of hidden mechanisms doesn t suggest deterrence of the
botnet goal, but increases the probability that a botnet will be identified by a defense
method.

Censorship Issues In High Schools
Young journalists in schools around America feel like they are being denied their
first amendment. In Ocean Lake high school 2 out of 5 school papers aren t
published. Censorship issues have been going on for years. The Hazelwood School
District v. Kuhlmeier Supreme Court case, in 1988, states that students cannot be
censored by student officials if they have established the paper as a public
forum(Innterobang/2007/3). Two of the articles were about teen pregnancy in, which
he interviewed some, and Parent divorce. The articles were thrown out because there
was no time to edit it, in which lead to the students claiming their first amendment
was violated. If the paper receives any funding from the school, the school can have
special guide lines the paper has to follow. Some of the rules are understandable like
promoting drugs, hate articles, and much more shouldn t be in a school paper. There
have been numerous occasions where the students had abused their first amendment.

Like I said earlier, 2 out of 5 papers weren t printed in Ocean Lake high school. If
teens are exposed to real life problems they would be better off in the real world.
Real life problems can be expressed through the school paper.Thats a reason for the
school paper not to be censored. In conclusion I believe the school paper should be
limited to censoring. There should still be censoring to an extent, like when the kid
had sexual puns in the paper. It s still school you shouldn t have stuff like that in the
papers. The censoring shouldn t get as bad as Ocean Lake high school. I think that
teen pregnancy and other teen issues should be in the school paper to inform and
protect the teens of the school. The first amendmaent is avalible for everyone and
should be protected. I side with not censoring the school paper. Which do you side
How Important Are Labor Unions Today
ABSTRACT:
Labor Unions have become an important factor in our industries. For many years,
labor unions have served as the main voice of the workers to their employers. The
continuous effort of labor unions in helping the laborers ensure their rights in their
jobs, acquire all the benefits they need and to eliminate the injustice experienced by
workers in their workplace is still an ongoing process. In order to understand labor
unions in general, knowing the roots of it is the best way to start. In this paper, the
progress of the labor unions throughout history, the issues faced the developments it

By following the chronological timeline of how unions emerge and develop into what
they have become today, it is easier to understand its concept of unions and the
problems it faced during the era of modern industries.
Looking up where unions actually originated can be traced back to the early
history of America. Throughout time, unions did their best in acquiring the rights
needed by their members and having a power in the workplace. The events that
labor unions have participated and contributed a lot in the history of the United
States. The first workers who fought for their rights did play a very important role
in America s fight for independence. Carpenters disguised as Mohawk Indians were
the active participants at the Boston Tea Party in 1773. Also, the Declaration of
Independence was signed by the Continental Congress who met in Carpenters Hall
in Philadelphia during 1776. In 1827, the Mechanics Union of Trade Associations
was formed by several trade unions in Philadelphia, which is said to be the first U.S
labor organization that united workers in different crafts.1 The first nationwide
federation called the National Trades Unions was founded in 1834 but was short
lived because of the economic crisis of 1837 and the resulting depression, which led
to a drastic loss in union membership.
After the Civil War, large enterprises were developed, which employed thousands of
workers, resulting in an increase in
Examples Of Inhumanity In Night By Elie Wiesel
A Different type of Human Humans are evil, within each individual there is side of
darkens and cruelty. In the book Night written by Elie Wiesel, he tells his story of
when the Nazis took over Europe and sent the Jews to concentration camps. In his
tear dropping book, the author writes about his experience in full detail of when he
was taken from his home to when he was liberated by the American soldiers. In
Night written by Elie Wieselthe argument presented is inhumanity, the behavior
that the Nazis acted upon was inhumane. In the event when Moishe the beadle
returned home after escaping the gestapo, he told Elie and the town people his
experience, he told them this, Infants were tossed into the air and used as targets
for the machine guns (Wiesel 6). Moishe told the people of the town his story, so
that they would be aware of what he had gone through and warning them to flee
before it was to late, although people said he had gone mad (Wiesel 7), he was
telling the truth. It is understandable to think why the people speculated he had gone
mad, they didn t believe the things that Moishe was saying in in his story, they didn t
believe him because it is not something a reasonable human is capable of doing....

The Fda s New Egg Safety Final Rule
Anderson Cooper (AC): Good Evening American, and welcome to another debate.
I am Anderson Cooper and I will be your host for the evening. The good news is
that this debate is not related to the presidential election. Tonight we will be
discussing a topic that I have recently become interested in, new FDA rules
especially those related to eggs. Recently, there have been many foods borne illnesses
outbreaks related to the eggindustry. Tonight we will specifically be talking about a
company called Quality Eggs and the impact the government has on the effect of
outbreaks. Besides this we will be discussing the FDA s new Egg Safety Final Rule.
Tonight to discuss these issues we have Bill Marler, a managing partner of Marler
Clark, a FoodSafety Law Firm, will argue the side of the government. Bill has
represented many cases throughout his years, and has won numerous awards
including the Seattle University s Professional Achievement Award in 2011 (
Marler Clark , n.d.) On the other side of the table tonight we have Randal Meyer
who will be representing CATO. CATO is a public policy organization that works to
educate people on their freedoms. CATO receives no government funding, and is
supported mostly by tax deductible contributions and support from various
contributors ( About CATO , n.d.). Now that we know a little bit about the two
people participating in the debate let s start the debate. Good evening gentlemen are
you both ready to debate the new egg safety laws?

Social Issues In Northanger Abbey, By Jane Austen
Northanger Abbey is a classic written by Jane Austen. The novel is celebrated as a
literary masterpiece that deals with the English social class system, along with the
social rules and it shows the results of choices made by the characters. The story
follows Catherine Morland, a girl who is heavily influenced by books, but is also
very naГЇve to the outside world. Catherine lives in the modest town of Fullerton, and
her life there has been mostly very protected and sheltered from lifestyles and habits
of people outside of Fullerton. The Morlands are friends with another family named
the Allen s. They are wealthy members of society, and they extend an invitation to
take Catherine with them to Bath, which is a wealthy area for families that meet that
clientele. Because her life in Fullerton has been so sheltered and moderate, her
experience in Bath is a whole new world and it excites and scares her alike. While in

had on Isabella were arguably greater than any other major character in the story.
She was attracted to the drama, gossip, and vigor of that lifestyle. Isabella thrived
on knowing the important information about people in the society, and she was
well learned on other people s personal lives. The idea of having a rich and popular

was engaged to James for love, but once a better offer came along in the form of
Captain Frederick Tilney, she had a change of heart. Suddenly, she was content with

Persuasive Essay On Cloning Technology
The Use of Cloning Technologies
The ethical debate concerning cloning that has inevitably followed since the
announcement and much celebrated birth of Dolly the Sheep in 1997, is highly
charged and emotive. When human cloning is mentioned it normally has negative
connotations with the individual conjuring up a mental picture of a sub human
creature with an almost Frankenstein like appearance. Many people are afraid of the
idea because it is a new technology and relatively misunderstood, and with the media
using shock headlines to sell newspapers, this alone feeds the fear within us.
There is of course much uncertainty over the meaning of cloning . This is the
generalised term used by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Those in favour of cloning technology claim that it is a far more efficient form of
reproduction as the success rate is higher and better controlled, where multiple
pregnancies can be eradicated if required. For those couples, who desire children
but cannot reproduce naturally or with the assistance of IVF, it would enable them
to have a child that is biologically related to them. The questions automatically
derived from this, centre around the uncertainty of the lifespan of the clone and
premature ageing: would an old adult cell necessarily begin life again in an egg?
Would a clone maintain a healthy lifestyle or would it be more prone to cancer or
other diseases, and fundamentally is it ethical for scientists to defy the order of nature?
When considering whether human cloning should be allowed, we must ask
ourselves whether it is the natural progression of reproduction or the abolition of
nature. In 2002, the organisation Clonaid announced the birth of their first human
clone on 26th December. Eve was born by caesarean section having been created
using similar technology to that used to clone Dolly the sheep. Clonaid claimed to
have four other mothers imminently expecting to give birth to clones, one of which
was to a Japanese couple who cloned their dead son after he had been killed in a
motoring accident. All five babies are fit and well claimed Dr
Necessity in The Things They Carried Essay
Necessity in The Things They Carried
Necessity is a rather slippery concept in terms of definition. The notion of what an
individual requires for his or her survival varies with the particular situation at any
given time. These needs may intensify or become distorted as one finds himself in
an increasingly dangerous situation, particularly a life and death one such as war.
Such dire circumstances may provoke in an average person feelings of extreme
vulnerability, and the desire to hold on to all that he can, not unlike a child s instinct
to grasp the nearest object in his search for comfort while in the throes of anxiety.
Despite the fact that these necessary items or ideas that he clings to may impair or
even threaten to destroy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But ironically, in this paragraph he also includes items such as Ted Lavender s six
or seven ounces of premium dope, Rat Kiley s comic books, and Kiowa s Bible and
his distrust of the white man (2 3). This indicates the importance of these things to
the men, no matter how ironic that may be, because obviously illicit drugs and
comics are not necessary to the common man for physical survival purposes. But this
irony suggests the desperation of the situation that the men faced, a situation that
could place comics on the same level as food. Perhaps the emptiness that the men felt
drove them to think that they had to carry all of these extra items to survive, because
they filled the emotional void that was in their heads, created by the numbingly
horrific violence of the war.
Another substantially detailed necessity of the men is their military supplies. O Brien
goes into minute detail, for literally pages, describing the supplies that the men used
for defense purposes. Primarily, he lists the standard weaponry for war, the typical
rifles, grenades, and defensive clothing such as the flak jacket and helmet (6 7). He
relates the enormous burden of weight that Ted Lavender was carrying when he was
shot, and how that weight caused him to fall like a big sandbag or something just
boom, then down. (7) The next passage describes all of the extra weapons they
carried, ranging from fragmentation grenades to brass knuckles
Who Is Dante s Journey In The Divine Comedy
The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri Dante Alighieri s The Divine Comedy,
Purgatory Dante s The Divine Comedy section of Purgatory is a depiction of Dante
and his struggle to reach paradise. He is a character as well as a narrator. The
purgatory section deals with the seven deadly sins and Dante s task of cleansing
himself on his journey to heaven. He confronts many different people on his
journey to self righteousness, which help and guide him to his destiny.
Accompanied by Virgil or reason as he is depicted, his quest is a hard journey with
many answers to be found. Dante was born in May 1265 and lived his early life at
a time of change and of great economic and cultural expansion in Florence

It is hard to find any documentation on Dante s journey outside of Florence. It is
know that his last days were spent in Ravenna, under the watchful eye of Guido da

Divine Comedy was written. Dante died shortly after finishing his final and best
work in 1322. His ashes are still buried next to the church of San Francesco. Dante
s Purgatory section of The Divine Comedy covers Dante s journey through
Purgatory and the challenges he faces. Purgatory was an island with a huge
mountain towering from it. At the top was Paradise or heaven. It was sealed off
by a gate with angles guarding the entrance. The bottom was antepurgatory where
the souls that were not ready for the journey resided. The mountain itself was
composed of seven concentric ledges separated by steep cliffs. On each ledge, one
of the seven capital sins waited on a soul. They were composed of Pride, Envy,
Wrath Sloth, Avarice, Gluttony, and Lust. When the soul had released his sin, he
was able to proceed to the next level. When he ascends to the next level, an angle
would greet him and perform a cleansing ritual. In addition, on each ledge of
Purgatory, there were models of the sin as well as the virtues which opposed the
sin. These were a kind of test for the soul. Dante was guided by Virgil or
How Is Hope Shown In Shawshank Redemption
There have been various prison related films from the past. The Film Shawshank

the true intensity and lifestyle in a prison in great depth. The Film is about a man

was sent to Shawshank Prison for 2 life time sentence and undergoes many events
that will test him until he breaks. The only thing Andy could do is hope for a day
he would be free once again. The intentions here is to find how hope brought him
such a long way, which will be done by looking at 3 key scenes where hope has
been represented in a way that we can relate to. Shawshank Redemption has

that this was what Red was looking for. Through hope Red had been brought on a

Chivalry In The Song Of Roland
At this point in history the men who fought the wars were lead by their leaders
with a code of chivalry. Chivalry can be explained as the Anglo Saxon code on
steroids. (McGee) Which is, explained further, a moral system for a good way to
conduct fighting. The knights in Arthurian time went even further with that code
to say that it was a way to conduct oneself not only in battle, but at all times.
Knights, by being chivalrous, were kind to all people, fought well and true, kept
faith and believed in the Christian God, and fought for their kings. Chivalry can be
found across the Arthurian texts, The Song of Roland is one of the texts that has
multiple examples of chivalry. Keeping faith with God, and the consequences of
such are expressed in The Song of Roland. Ganelon broke a rule of chivalry, and
when he did this, he also broke the ties he had with God. To separate himself from
his lord Charlemagne was to separate himself from God. Thus he broke one of the
rules of the code of chivalry. Another example from the text is when Roland was
on the battlefield dying and the angels descended upon him and took his soul
straight to heaven, despite how Roland had so self righteously not blown the horn
to signal to Charlemagne that he needed aid. God took this, not as the sin of pride,
but rather as a way of Roland protecting his lord, by not putting his lord into any
unnecessary danger. This was one of the codes of chivalry, to believe in the hierarchy
with God at the top. Another

Title: Little Pine Tree s Awakening
Little Pine Tree was about three feet tall with bright green needles on all his
branches. His favorite color was red. He always wore a thick, red scarf around the
trunk of his tree. He was a curious little tree. He noticed the many different colors of
the world.
(Insert image 1: Little Pine Tree with red scarf standing all alone)
He loved the bright blue sky, the fluffy white snow, the yellow sun, and the brown
bark of the trees. But most of all, he loved the colors of all the ornaments that the old
pine trees wore. They were so beautiful.
Some glittered and shimmered.
Some lit up like glowing lights.
And some just made him feel all happy and tingly inside when he looked at them.

He was so tall and thin. Mister, stated Little Pine Tree as loud as he could, Come
here please. As Tall Pine Tree approached, Little Pine Tree noticed he had some
great ornaments of his own. Do you have a question for me that I can help you learn
something? I am trying to grow my own ornaments? asked Little Pine Tree.
Tall Pine Tree looked down and replied, Ornaments come over time. As you grow
and learn valuable life experiences you will begin to grow your own ornaments, and
each one will be special to you. You cannot force them to grow. Relax and enjoy
being young. Begin to appreciate and be thankful for any ornament you grow. Think
about how good you feel every time you grow a new one. And remember with more
ornaments comes more weight on your branches.

Weight? What was he talking about? The ornaments could not be heavy could they?
They are too beautiful for such a thing. He had to go talk to Grand Pine Tree again.

Trash On The Ground Essay
What would Chelsea be like with no trash on the ground? That is one of the many
questions people are asking. And together we can give them an answer. It is no
secret that there is an excessive amount of trash that can be found on the ground
outside. People have noticed this and have blamed it on other people, but truly, it s
all our fault. But the trash on the ground can be easily taken away through a
program of volunteers to help clean up the trash funded by fundraisers from schools
and a tax increase, and influencing people to help out by refraining from throwing
trash on the ground. There is a problem in Chelsea. There is too much trash on the

made a simple decision. In death there was no control, no anger, no one to blame,
no choices, no nothing. To be alive was to have choice. The power to choose was
real power, not fake power of making others afraid (Mikaelsen 83). After the attack,
when Cole gets banished to the island for the second time, Cole doesn t laze around

year on this island, he had no intention of living like an animal. Each morning, he
soaked in the pond and carried the ancestor rock. Afternoons, he worked improving
camp (Mikaelsen 177). This demonstrates that he pushes himself so he can get off
the island and probably try to change his reputation from a mean and scary boy to a
changed boy. At the end of the novel it s easy to tell that Cole has changed a lot and
this is an example that he has mastered the task of
Economic Significance Of Renewable Energy Policy
ECONOMIC SIGNIFICANCE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY POLICY IN INDIA: A
CASE STUDY OF GUJARAT S SOLAR POLICY
I.Introduction
The transition to a greener energy regime in India is driven by both external factors,
like energy prices, market developments, political culture and the emphasis on
climate change, as well as by internal factors like the goal to achieve long term
energy security and the need for enhancing access to energy. The early emphasis on
renewable energy in India was primarily on the wake of energy security concerns
mooted during the global oil crisis around 1970s. Commission of Additional Sources
of Energy (CASE) in 1981 was set up by Government of India (GoI) as one of the
early response to such a crisis. CASE was transformed ... Show more content on

It is argued that policy reforms initiated during the past two decades have
transformed India s energy sector from a predominantly government owned system
to a system largely driven by market elements. This is also evident in the case of
renewable energy where the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE)
identifies the development of renewable energy in India across various phases:
1970s as research phase, 1980s as demonstration phase and 1990s onwards as
commercialization phase with greater participation of private sector entities.
The renewable sources of power in India still constitute a small portion of the
entire power production of the country, with the total installed capacity of 32,000
MW (which is about 12% of the total installed capacity). Out of the total installed
capacity, solar energy constitutes about 10 % (3200 MW). The solar potential of
the country is huge. It is estimated that about 12.5 % of India s landmass, which is
about 413,000 square kilometers, can be exploited to harness solar energy. The
country on an average enjoys 300 sunny days with an average hourly solar radiation
of about 200 MW/square kilometer. The major recent initiative in the solar space is

The Importance Of Evidence Based Assessment
Review the care given and provide an evidence based critique of that care It is
vitally important to initiate accurate documentation and assessment when
performing a patients observation as this can clearly prevent and identify acute
poor health (Mulryan, 2011). On the other hand, an observation assessment can to
often be performed accurately and incorrectly (Mulryan, 2011). For that reason, a
nurse s ability, knowledge, competence and documentation are all paramount when
assessing a patient stability (Mulryan, 2011). On evaluating the care that was
given to Sam, when being assessed every four hours for vital signs, by nurses
involved in her care. Firstly, Sam was on medication for pain relief which was
helping keep her pain free. As she stated when asked in the PSA if she was in pain,
Sam stated that she was not in any pain at the time. Evidence based practice
recommends that a nurse should give the patient regular analgesic and PRN
analgesic when needed (Park et al, 2016). Inadequately managed pain can lead to
adverse physical and psychological patient outcomes for individual patients and
their families (Park et al, 2016). inadequate pain management negatively affect the
patient s welfare and the hospital performance because of extended lengths of stay
and readmissions, both of which increase the cost of care (Park et al, 2016).
Secondly, due to Sam s condition she was at risk of having a high fever I identified
through the PSA Sam s temperature at the time was
William Edward Burghardt Du Bois Essay
William Edward Burghardt Du Bois, born in 1868, was a scholar, activist, and
philosopher, born into the era of Reconstruction and lynching. Though he
accomplished much in his life, Du Bois is largely known for helping found the
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and writing
one of the most prominent works in American critical racetheory, The Souls of Black
Folk. Du Bois made it his life s work to contest racismthrough self assertion,
humanize black peopleacross the globe, and find a way to integrate black society
and white American society. Much of his rhetoric focused on double
consciousness and the veil, separate but closely related concepts that Du Bois used
to describe the experience of Americans, both black and white. While Du Bois
passed away a mere day before the March on Washington in 1963, his rhetoric
remains vital to anti racist philosophy; for today, Americans live in an age of
colorblind racism. It is a commonly held amongst white Americans belief that all
Americans are treated equally and fairly, often citing the civil rights movements of
the 1960 s in which the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the Civil Rights Act of 1968
came to be. However, as of 2016, 42% of black Americans are dissatisfied in
regards to how they are treated, while a mere 15% of white Americans are
dissatisfied with the treatment of black Americans.1 Much of Du Bois rhetoric
focused on education; more specifically, how to use the role of institutions,
Theseus In The Odyssey
Of all the Greek heroes, the greatest of all was the mighty and powerful Theseus.
Theseus rose above and beyond any other hero by using his intellect and not just
superior strength. He refused to take the easy path and instead took the path he felt
was right. The myth of Theseus proves that intellect, courage, and compassion can be
superior to strength and brute force.
Theseus, unlike many of the Greek heroes, was not only the son of a god, but a
mortal man as well. Some versions of the myth claim that his dual paternity was
caused by his mother having relations with both Poseidon, god of the sea, and
Aegeus, the king of Athens, in the same night. Other version claim he was the son
of either one or the other. Before Theseus was born, King Aegeus left a pair of

Not wanting him to perish in the labyrinth, Ariadne contacted Daedalus for a way out
of the giant maze. The solution was simple. All Theseus needed to do was attach a
thread to the entrance of the labyrinth and unwind it as he ventured farther inside.
Ariadne offered one condition for the solution: Theseus must take her back with him
to Athens and make her his wife. He agreed and bravely went forth to challenge the
Minotaur using only his mind and raw strength. Theseus successfully defeated the
Minotaur and ended the tribute for good. He, Ariadne, and the rest of the tributes
returned to the ship on which they came to journey back to Athens. Ariadne never
made it to Athens. In some versions of the myth Theseus deserts her while in others
she dies of sea sickness. For whatever reason, she did not continue the journey and
Theseus forgot to hoist up the white sail when entering Athens. The king, seeing
only the black sail and not knowing his son was indeed alive and well, threw himself

Globalisation Is a Blessing for Singapore
Globalisation has been a blessing for Singapore s development.
The world we live in today is characterised by globalised markets and a merciless
pace of change. Powered by relentless technological advances, the forces of
globalization have undoubtedly driven the ever accelerating expansion in economic
activity and capital flows, even opening previously closed sectors and countries. The
economies of countries are becoming increasingly integrated with one another.
Indeed, living in today s globalised era, no country has been untouched by the
expanding and influential force of globalization. Singapore is no exception, as
evidenced by her miraculous evolution from a mere fishing village in the past to the
cosmopolitan and vibrant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another benefit is the improved standard of living in Singapore. HDB flats even
condominiums have replaced the dilapidated slums that used to be commonplace
when Singapore was merely a fishing village. With the improvement in the
transportation system, MRT stations and the Port of Singapore, including the Circle
Line, were established, leading to an increased convenience in travelling. Even the
Singapore Changi Airport has been recognised by the global cargo industry as the
Best Airport in Asia. It is no wonder that Singapore emerged as Asia s best location
to live, work and play in the Mercer 2008 Quality of Living survey.
Yet, there are Singaporeans who argue that globalization has hindered their country s
development, placing doubts on whether their fellow Singaporeans will still remain
rooted to their nation after migrating to other countries. Whilst Singaporeans
venture for jobs overseas, foreigners will also migrate to work in Singapore, some
of whom have decided to become Permanent Residents (PRs). With these foreigners
bringing their own cultures and values, together with the exodus of local
Singaporeans, social cohesion may be adversely affected. Singaporeans have also
expressed concern over the issue of a sense of national identity. The issue of the
Illegal Immigration Problems
Illegal immigration defies the immigration rules of a designated country by ignoring
the right formalities of moving into that country. It requires immigrants to cross
international political borders throughout water, land, and air improperly. As these
immigrants enter the country they tend to relocate to California. Which cause s many
problems in Los Angeles, California, and the city government should do more to
handle the growing population of illegal immigrants. California is a popular
relocation destination for illegal immigrants. Zong states that about one million
illegal immigrants reside in Los Angeles, California, when they get there they use
fake or stolen social security numbers to get jobs (Zong) which takes away from
native Californians. This makes it harder for natives to find jobs which eventually
leads to higher unemployment rates. Sometimes immigrants are helpful when they
migrate, they fill shortages in the work place that no one wants. When illegal
immigrants enter, the United Statesusing a fake social security number they aren t
required to pay taxes. Illegal immigrants don t usually pay taxes until they are caught
and deported or forced to pay them. Which causes the economy rate growth to
decrease and tax rates to increase. This causes citizens tend to work less because of
the increase in taxes. Therefore, making the economy weaker and weaker. This
prevents the government from building new roads, schools, hospitals etc. Along with
not paying taxes
Father Son Relationships In Night
Self preservation against love and loyalty. The important factors in the story
clearly describe the father and son relationships in the novel, Night. All the
relationships are tested as they are put into the intolerable situation. Especially,
Elie Wiesel and his father, Chlomo. When individuals are put into a very tough
situation to choose between love or violence, loving bonds are put to the test to
see if they can survive. For example, a guy forgot about humanity and killed his
own father for a piece of bread to survive. When people are being treated like
objects instead of human beings and being mistreated for so long, this proves that
some people are capable of sinking to the depths of brutality. Elie is so amazed and
surprised, but he
My Personality Group Through Human Metrics
Over the course of this assignment; I have discovered much about myself. Likewise,
I probably would not have learned this much about myself or my career, had I not
taken this course. Such as how I have found my personality group through Human
metrics; which presented that I was within the INFJ grouping (Jung, 1998). I was
also able to learn much more about the career that I may be pursuing in the future, as
well as the people in the field similar to it. The Jungian personality testshowed that
my personalitytype, the INFP, is a mediator (Jung, 1998). The website claims that
INFJs are idealistic, future oriented, as well as creative. The possible careers listed
on the website are psychologists, artists, and child care/ teachers (BSM, 2016).
These results show some correlation to my own personality, as I am aspiring to be
an artist. I am also very future oriented and I would like to perceive myself as
being rather creative. Another trait that I relate with would be how INFJs would
typically value deep and authentic relationships with others. I enjoy harmony with
others and predictable schedules. Such an example would be how I tend to eat
dinner with friends around 6pm every night and do homework afterwards, as well as
have the classes at the appropriate times throughout the week. The consistency of the
schedule allows me to plan ahead without feeling too much stress, which may result
in some errors along the way. As a child, I was always fascinated with subjects like
Assess the Effect of Three Factors Which May Limit...
Assess the significance of three factors which might limit economic development in
the developing countries.
Economic development can be defined generally as involving an improvement in
economic welfare, measured using a variety of indices, such as the Human
Development Index (HDI). A developing country is described as a nation with a
lower standard of living, underdeveloped industrial base, and a low HDI relative to
other countries. There are several factors which may have the effect of limiting
economic development in such countries. Factors such as these include: primary
product dependency, the savings gap and political instability. Primary product
dependency occurs where production of primary products accounts for a large
proportion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is because many developed countries may use protectionist measures to prevent
developing countries from having free access to certain markets (which may include
the markets for the developing countries primary product) thus making it more
difficult for poorer countries to grow and develop. Foreign demand for a primary
product may also limit economic growth as demand for a particular commodity will
cause an increase in demand for a country s currency, thus resulting in the
appreciation of the currency. This would reduce the competitiveness of the country s
manufactured exports, thus leading to a decrease in the financial resources gained
from exports which could have enabled the country to raise the level of economic
welfare to encourage development. Moreover, falling terms of trade due to primary
product dependency could limit economic development. This is illustrated by the
Prebisch Singer hypothesis states that primary products tend to be income inelastic
whereas the demand for manufactured good is income elastic in the long run.
Therefore, as real incomes rise, the demand for manufactured goods will increase at a
faster rate than the demand for primary products. This therefore means that primary
product dependency acts as a limit to development in developing countries because it
means that in the long run the terms of trade would be better for manufacturing
products thus there would be more financial

If we look at the history of India over the last century, we get many examples of
historic companies such as the Godrej Group, TATA Steel, ITC and many more that
have bravely faced the emerging market situation of India, the recessions and have
successively managed to sustain themselves till date. But rarely do we find examples
of organizations started by a group of illiterate men from the rural hinterlands of Pune

Organizational culture and shared values
Typically, the age range of dabbawalla ranges from 18 65 and they remain in their

The Art Of Medicine By Peter Pan
The art of medicine is often portrayed throughout the variations of Peter Pan, whether
positive or negative. Medicine takes shape in many forms; ranging from real, but
make believe medicine, to pretend healing, to even poison. When taking these things
into consideration, one can see how medicine is used to stay a child throughout Peter
Pan.
The novel and play of Peter Pan open up with a scene where the children are getting
ready for bed and the parents are getting ready for dinner. In this scene, is the first
depiction of medicine. Michael refuses to take his medicine and Mr. Darling says
medicine is not a big deal, yet he will not take his. This shows the value of
medicine. The characters know they need to take it because it is good for their
health and the medicine will improve their health, but they have no desire to take it;
therefore, the character s tease each other about it. The children have no desire to
take their medicine because it is a responsibility and responsibility means growing
up, which means leaving behind childish behaviors and no longer needing a nurse.
This can also be related into today s time, when young kids do not wish to take their
vitamins because adults often tell them that it will keep them healthy and will help
them grow strong, but the kids resist because they do not wish to grow up, but stay a
child forever.
Also, when Peter returns for his shadow, Peter cannot reattach it to himself, as he
tries to do so with soap. Though this may be
Franz Liszt As A Hungarian Pianist From The Romantic
Period
Franz Liszt was an extremely talented Hungarian pianist from the romantic period.
Liszt was born on October 22, 1811 in Raiding, Hungary. Liszt s father was ГЃdГЎm
Liszt, an official in the service of Prince Nicolas EszterhГЎzy, whose palace was
often visited by celebrated musicians. ГЃdГЎm Liszt was a talented amateur
musician who played cello, as well as several other instruments in court concerts.
Franz Liszts father passionately taught him how to play piano, and by the age of 6,
was already recognized as a child Prodigy. At this age, Liszt began to show interest
in both church and gypsy music. He developed into a religious child, partly
because of his father who spent two years of his youth in the Franciscan order. By
the age of eight, Liszt began to compose elementary works. At the age of nine, he
made his first public appearance as a concert pianist at Sopron and Pozsony. His
playing impressed the local Hungarian magnates so much that they put up the
money to pay for his musical education for the next six years. His father took a
leave of absence from the Prince, so that he could devote his time to helping his son
s musical education. They went to Vienna, where he learned piano with Carl Czerney,
a composer and pianist who had been a pupil of Beethoven, and studied composition
with Antonio Salieri, the musical director at the Viennese Court and one of Mozart s
rivals. Liszt continued to perform concerts with great success, his most notable talent
being his ability to
Hiv Crisis
ABSTRACT
People who discover that they are HIV Positive are likely to be at higher risk for
experiencing a personal crisis. The crisis onset begins the moment the results are in
and it is determined that the person is HIV Positive. The flood of sudden emotions
caused by the traumatic event contributes to the beginning of a personal crisis.
Becoming identified as a person living with HIV can also lead to further issues it is
believed that people with HIV experience three types of crisis states. The first
crisis state is a situational crisis involving the initial reaction to being diagnosed
with HIV. Secondly, the developmental crisis in which a person is forced to face
the possibility of being ill and death. The last crisis stage is a social crisis
involving discrimination, isolation, and stigmas. These social crisis issues can lead

host country authorities. Before the mission starts, the responsibility of country s
leader s is to make the special agreement with the UN. The agreement is signed
between the UN and the leaders of the government. Based on the agreement, the
host nation s leaders must support the UN peacekeeping operations in order to
establish a safe working environment. The peacekeepers are supposed to achieve all
tasks without any constraints from the host country authorities. Nevertheless, in
some cases, this agreement is violated by leaders of the country. For instance, in
the Darfur crisis, Al Bashir, who is the president of Sudan, plays to local fear. He
said that the UN forces were not really providing peace in Darfur because they
wish to recolonize Sudan and the UN military has a secret agenda (Paterson, 2008,
p. 18). Additionally, in 2004, the African Union (AU) peacekeepers begun to
arrive in Darfur. The mission s name was AU Mission in Sudan (AMIS) and was
composed of about 7,500 soldiers and police from Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, and
South Africa (Paterson, 2008). After two years, the UN and AU decided that the
AMIS peacekeeping should be taken over by a UN force. The government of Sudan,
headed by Omar al Bashir, rejected any collaboration with the UN and noted that
international military forces on its terrain would disrupt its independence (Paterson,
2008).
Container Imbalances And The Context Of The Global
Economy
1Container Imbalances in the Context of the Global Economy
1.1Economic Situation of the Shipping Industry
To introduce into the context relevant for the processing of the case, it will firstly be
shown which circumstances shape the industry. It will also be demonstrated how and
why the latest economic developments are influencing the container shipping
business and consequently are relevant for the following work.
As nearly 90% of the worldwide transported goods are moved by ship and 60% of
those goods are containerized , a high dependency of global trade and the demand for
container transports can be detected. Therefore trends like global sourcing coming
along with the globalization are highly influenced by various variables which might
for example include the following :
Population growth
Social standards and income
Labor cost
Language and communication
Political and legal aspects
Export figures
Degree of industrialization
Currency fluctuations
Technological developments (e.g. Internet)
Linking the world container volume to the global Real GDP as an indicator for the
development of the overall economy (cf Figure 1), it can be detected that the
shipping industry suffered more dramatically than expected from the worldwide
economic crisis in 2008 when the financial markets crashed . Figure 1: Correlation
between Economy and Container Trade (Index 2000: 100; data adopted from IMF

Unaccompanied Children Essay
Young and McKenna look at how the immigration policy approaches and immigration
officials treat unaccompanied children seeking entrance and asylum. The authors
point out the weaknesses of the current system and point to existing laws that can fix
them with enforcement. The article is descriptive and evaluative. The authors
reference public immigrationdata and government policies relating to immigration
regulation and protection. The authors explain more unaccompanied children are
entering the United Statesover the years. From 2001 2006, CBP arrested 86,000
unaccompanied children (248). In 2008, the United States detained 7211
unaccompanied children, compared to 6741 in 2004 and 200 in 1999. Those who
are not promptly deported wait to go to immigration court (248). The government
sends children migrants who have entered illegally to Department of Homeland
Security (DHS) (249). If they are unaccompanied, they then go to (HHS) s Office
of Refugee Resettlement as of 2002 (248). Before, they would go to Legacy
Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) (250). The children stay in detention
facilities from 6 months to 2 years (251). Many children stay in secure facilities due

Flores v. Messe 1996 calls for respectful and careful treatment, placement in
appropriate unrestricted facilities and also place custody under relatives or
guardian (250). The Unaccompanied Alien Child Protection Act 2000 calls for
provision of legal counsel that specifically have knowledge in working with
unaccompanied minors and immigration (251). Pushed by the Homeland Security
Act, in 2005, the ORR established a Pro Bono program for providing counsel to
unaccompanied children (251). TVPRA 2008 also calls for stay in least restrictive
setting that regards the best interests and also calls for an independent child advocate

Even nowadays they have a stable relationship (Li 6). Needless to say that after
growing up in a stable and big family, Toni Morrison started her own family. In
1958 she married Harold Morrison from Jamaica and in 1961 her first son, Harold
Ford, was born. In summer 1964 the family took a trip to Europe, but Chloe Morrison
returned alone with her three year2
old son and got divorced shortly after. Till today she does not want to tell detailed
reasons why the relationship did not last. Temporarily she returned to her family in
Lorain, where her second son, Slade Kevin, was born (Tewarson 37). She always
took her role as a mother very seriously and tried to raise her two sons to become
independent and sensitive human beings. She passed care and emotional support,
which she got from her own family, to their children. Writing, working and child
caring were not always easy, but she had to get used to the fact that she could only
write in small pieces. Consequently she developed a huge power to concentrate
(Tewarson 49). Surprisingly she found her role as a mother liberating, because her
children asked for other things than others . For example managing things and
showing a good sense of humor. The person that was in me that I liked best was the
one my children seemed to want. (Taylor Guthrie 270). After presenting the
background of her family I would like to go on with highlighting Toni Morrison s
educational development and career. When Chloe Wofford
The Political Affairs Of Latin America
The United States has always had a major impacting role in the political affairs of
Latin America. Since the dawn of the Monroe Doctrine of 1823, the U.S. has taken a
firm and direct stance when dealing with the continent to ensure that its [United
States] interests are always upheld. This being said, the U.S. uses formal and informal
manipulation and intervention to ensure that Latin American governments are
compatible with U.S. interests. This dates back, as previously said, to the time of the
Monroe doctrine, when the United States wanted to protect its expansion and
dominance in the two Continent form European powers. Following this was the onset
of the Truman Doctrine of 1947, which sought to contain the spread of communism,
especially within what they considered their own sphere of influence...i.e. Latin
America. Following the collapse of the soviet block the 1990s could be considered a
period of foreign policy stagnation, where the U.S attempted to seek out trade and
diplomacy, rather than intervention and manipulation policies towards the countries
of Latin America. Though, this seemingly came to an end with the onset of the terror
attacks of September 11th, 2001, which sparked the new War on Terror American
policy orientation back to a more interventionist approach. This paper will
demonstrate how the different foreign policy approaches came about with contextual
pressures and the means in which they employed to ensure that the U.S interest are
upheld. Interests
Child Custody Process
There is perhaps no greater legal battle than one involving the custody of a child.
Whether in the case of a divorce, guardianship, paternity dispute, or revision of an
existing child custody agreement, the decision as to who will retain custody can have
a lasting impact on the relationship between parent and child. Understanding the child
custodyprocess will better prepare you for the road ahead while providing you with
the best chance of achieving a favorable outcome. Below, a familylawyer from The
Law Office of Gregory G. St. John LLC in Waterbury, CT discusses what to
anticipate during your child custody case.
What to Expect
During your child custody hearing, the presiding judge will review a variety of
factors to determine the best
Irrigation Yuma Essay
Irrigation was the biggest impact to hit the Yuma and Southern Arizona. Without
Irrigation Yuma and Southern Arizona wouldn t be what they are today. At first
only 7,500 acres were available for irrigation, but after the necessary canals were
built more than 59,450 acres were irrigable. Irrigation allows crops grow at a
higher rate because it allows the crop to get the adequate amount of water. Putting
water to the rich soil turned the desert into an agricultural oasis that could produce
a wide range of crops from wheat and cotton to fruit and vegetables. We have the
climate, water and soil for intense farming, Davis said. It would be hard to find
farmland anywhere else that would be as productive. If it wasn t for irrigationYuma

From 1970 to 2010 Yuma became the premier and dominant winter crop such as
vegetables. Vegetables had an amazing growth from 1970 to 2010 as it went up
from about 10% to over 70%. Jas. D. Schuyler said The lands are extremely fertile
and productive, and capable of producing enormous crops when provided with a
sufficient supply of water for irrigation. Irrigation also helped Yuma leave the Wild
West era behind and develop like a modern town but it still had an impact in the
regional development. Creating the Laguna Dam also made Yuma one step closed
to the future as also the steamboat era also came to an end. The users of the
Colorado River became more aware of their use of the water and decided to
improve in the deduction of the water use so the water supply would last longer. I
feel like irrigation help the agriculturist improve their knowledge and realize that
water may be good for the economy but also it can hurt
James Earl Ray Quotes
James Earl Ray: A Weapon of Hate Third Draft Delainy Kroeger If a man has not
discovered something that he will die for, he isn t fit to live. This quote was said by
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. James Earl Ray was the man in charge of taking the
life of this amazing man. King states that he will die for what he believes in and he
did exactly that. He died for the right of equality for all human beings. The murder of
an American patriot, Martin Luther King Jr., caused James Earl Ray to leave a
legacy of hatred, which has left disgrace upon his name. The eldest of George and
Lucille Ray s nine children was born on March 10, 1928 in Alton, Illinois ( James
Earl Ray ) ( James Earl Ray Biography ). During Ray s early childhood, the family
moved several times ( James Earl Ray Biography ). In 1935, the family suddenly left
and moved to Ewing, Missouri after police started looking for the father for a forgery

In December of 1967, James Earl Ray took a two day trip to New Orleans to pick
up a cocktail waitress two kids (Posner). He told acquaintances he was visiting a
brother in Louisiana (Posner). On this trip was when he met Raoul (Posner).
Investigators located the real Raoul from telephone books (Posner). Their primary
source was Glenda Grabow, a 53 year old living in Booneville, Tennessee (Posner).
She knew Raoul when he was younger and later said that he bragged about killing
Martin Luther King Jr. and also JKF (Posner). Raoul was living in a New York
suburb with a wife and one child (Posner). There was video and camera
surveillance for the next two years and repeated phone calls to his house (Posner).
Ray confirmed Raoul in a 1960 s picture (Posner). However, he had worked at the
same auto company for nearly 80 years and had been working during both
assassinations (Posner). He had never been to Tennessee or Texas and didn t know a

Personal And Career Growth Over The Next Five Years
1. Just as organizations are going to be forced to learn, change, and constantly
reinvent themselves in the twenty first century, so will increasing number of
individuals (p.190). Have you reinvented yourself in your career thus far? What
reinvention do you foresee as necessary to your personal and career growth over the
next five years?
Learning is a Life Long Journey there is always room to improve oneself both
mentally and physically. As mentioned in this week s reading, The twenty first

obstacles. It has been a challenge to walk to the edge of cliff and take the next
step. I believe and have faith, but I honestly like the comfort zone of approval
known as the safe place. In regard to accomplishments, I have been able to touch a
lot of youth and their family lives in a positive manner through community
partnerships that I have made. Positive reinforcement goes a long way especially in
the youth of today s life.
Humble Self reflection:
I ve always try to stay humble and modest, I was raised that you should never get to
big for those britches. Through my experiences I have always reflected on the
good times because of the happiness it brings when you re feeling down are lacking
confidence. I have been able to serve numerous families and achieve many business
goals. I believe there is a lot for me to do and want to accomplish the personal task to
leave a lasting legacy.
Solicitation of Opinions:
As humans we are often seeking approval, whether that is from a parent, a family
member, a friend, a colleague or last but not least a supervisor. We do this
Analysis Of William Shakespeare s Henry Iv
Shakespeare is one of the most widely known playwrights of history, and has been
hailed for his plot structure and character development. An example of this being
one of his most noticed and widely regarded characters in Henry IV Part 1,
Falstaff. His character immediately gets the attention of the audience through his
variance in personality from most others of his day and life style. Falstaff is an
old, fat, disgraced knight and Hal s partner in crime. He is always looking for a
good time while he eats, drinks, and pisses away all he can get his hands on. A
more modern parallel would be the fiction character Captain Jack Sparrow from
Pirates of the Caribbean. Both abuse any power or authority thrust upon them. While

So feasibly Falstaff and Jack Sparrow were included in their individual stories so
the audience would get hooked on the story line and feel envious of these
characters and their lifestyle. Falstaff may have been put into the story of Henry
IV Part 1 because he comes off as more of an actual person than other characters,
making the play more real to the audience. This is supported by how Falstaff takes
advantage of his position given to him by Prince Hal for the war. Instead of
gathering the bravest fighters he can so he can give his all to the cause, he finds
the lowest of the low and takes bribes for letting certain people stay out of the war.
Albert Tolman covers the idea of how real Falstaff is in an article he wrote, Why
Did Shakespeare Create Falstaff? Tolman asserts: Of the characters of the great
Dramatist [Shakespeare] Hamlet, Cleopatra, Iago, and Falstaff are among the
most marvelous. They are portrayed with such fullness and intensity that they
seem to outrun the very laws of their being. They escape from the world of fiction
and are. Historical characters are less real than they. This is supported by Falstaff
s take on the honor of death in battle. Well, tis no matter; honour pricks me on. Yea,
but how if honour prick me off when I come on? How then? Can honour set to a

skill in surgery, then? No. What is honour? A word. What is in that word honour ?

  • 2. Dominant Hand And Reaction Time Essay `The Effect of Hand Dominance on Reaction Time by Rachel Cook Abstract From the literature, it is apparent that the hemispheres of the brain are responsible for different actions and functions. The experiment was done to test if one hand had a faster reaction time than the other, and if so, we wanted to find out if the dexterity was associated with the brain s function in relation to each hand. The experiment compared the reaction times of the dominant hands and non dominant hands of 4 college students. A computer program inside the lab measured the reaction timeby recording data from each subject after every completion of a test. The computer program required the subjects to click the spacebar once the subject recognized that the letter on the screen was one of the letters from the original set. The dominant hand (mean reaction time 0.625 sec) was almost the same reaction time as the non dominant hand (mean ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Introduction The purpose of this experiment was to find out whether or not an individual s reaction time was affected by his/her dominant or non dominant hand. Our group was interested in investigating whether or not hand dominance plays a role in a person s reaction time. According to Helms et al. (1998) reaction time is defined as the length of time it takes to begin a response to a stimulus. There have been three basic kinds of reaction time experiments named (Luce, 1986; Welford, 1980). They are simple reaction time experiments, recognition reaction time experiments, and choice reaction time experiments. Simple reaction time experiments have only one stimulus and one response (Luce, 1986; Welford, 1980). Three of the computer programs corresponded with this experiment: X at a known location, spot the dot, and reaction to sound. Symbol recognition and tone recognition were two computer programs that represented a recognition reaction time experiment because there are some stimuli that should be responded to and
  • 3. E Commerce Disadvantages Whether you are an eCommerce owner or a web user, client or customer, you ve come to the conclusion that simple online forms do not always give customer service satisfaction and may even cause a sale, product or service to fall down a cyber crack. The Wind of Change Is Blowing In eCommerce Websites On the internet, interactivity, or being able to engage a client or customer with your customer service or commercial website in general, is crucially important. However, as things change so fast on the web, so do perceptions as well. One case in point is the perception that there s a lack of live chat support staffers who actually know what they re doing and how to give solutions from simple problems to next level problems. Another perception fast changing is that live chat support agents can t be understood because the outsourcing platform of the site has hired personnel who are not proficient in the dominant language of the eCommerce site. If you re thinking of going or expanding your commercial website, then read below for some effective benefits you ll find for your business site. Benefits For Business Website Owners 1 Yes, there is ample online customer support in the way of emails, an occasional mailing address and even a 1 800 number often found snugly stashed away where people can t easily find it. However, in general, customers encounter a disconnect with finding precision accessibility when it s needed. As a result, answers are not generally found
  • 4. Conflict Resolution At Blessing Hospital Conflict Resolution at Blessing Hospital Conflict occurs in every setting of everyday life. Whether it is between a co worker, someone that is seen in passing, or even with a complete stranger. Most of the time, resolution will occur with a conflict, in order to de escalate the situation, especially in a health care setting. This helps the outcome for those involved, along with the care that is provided to patients. As simple minded as it may sound, some conflicts are not resolved, which in turn, affects the care that is provided to patients within the hospitalsetting. Conflicts occur in stages, involve collaboration to resolve, and need rationale in order to help everyone overcome them. Types and Stages of Conflicts Conflicts can ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Conflict occurs in different stages. According to Finkelman, (2013) there is felt conflict, latent conflict, perceived conflict, and manifested conflict. Latent conflict involved anticipation of conflict. Perceived conflict is a stage that requires recognition that a conflict exists while felt conflict occurs when individuals have feelings about conflict. Manifest conflict occurs when the conflict is overt. The mentioned example showed a true definition of a felt conflict. Both Nurse A and B became emotional and anticipated the conflict. They both went on with their plans, feeling upset and angered about the conflict that had occurred. The attitudes and anger clung with the nurses and it was very evident throughout the rest of the shift. Patient care was lessened on night shift due to the lack of communication between the nurses and aid. Nurse A left work mad and carried her mood home to her family. Resolving Conflict With Collaboration Collaboration, especially in this situation could have caused both nurses and the aid to avoid the conflict all together. Day shift tends to be more hectic than night shift, therefore, each could have
  • 5. Summary Of The Sound And The Fury And Absalom In Faulkner s works, both the land and the people of the South struggle under the monumental weight of myth and history. In fact, certain calamity looms over his fictional region of Yoknahpatwah, a microcosm of the postbellum South. Themes of the Southern consciousness, such as inescapable past and present, inherited guilt, and emotional and psychological stagnation pervade this fictional region. In The Sound and the Fury (1929) and Absalom, Absalom! (1936), Faulkner s portrayal of two Southern aristocratic families, the Compsons and the Sutpens, reveal Southerners paradoxical attitudes towards the myths of the South: the refusal to forget the past and the inability to live in the present. Both The Sound and the Fury and Absalom, Absalom!... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Problem of Historical Time Time is a vital component in understanding Faulkner s treatment of the Southern history. Faulkner s characters all experience frustration with past. In Faulkner s novels, time is a function of history in which a complete engagement of tension between history and myth occurs. If historical time is a progression of change that extends into and shapes the present, mythic time produces a sense of stasis and circularity in which one feels stuck. The conflict between history and myth arises from Faulkner s personal experience as a Southerner; like many Southerners of his time, Faulkner was searching for a lost time while struggling to reconcile with the questionable past of his region. In his interviews, Faulkner made clear the presentness that the past (particularly the Civil War) had for him. In a class conference held at the University of Virginia in 1957, he said no man is himself, he is the sum of his past. There is no such thing really as was because the past is (129). When asked in 1958 about the Civil War veterans he knew as a boy, Faulkner related that: They didn t talk so much about that war. I had got that from the maiden, spinster aunts which had never surrendered. But I can remember the old men, and they would get out the old shabby gray uniforms and get out the old battle flag on Decoration, Memorial Day. Yes, I remember any number of them. (Howe 249) In this quote, Faulkner expresses an ambivalent feeling towards

Three many companies within the athletic market are Nike, Adidas and Under Armour; Nike being one of the largest. Despite stiff competition within the industry Nike has managed to maintain its title of being the top brand. Nike, Adidas and Under Armour are the largest brands in the athletic/sportswear monopolistic market. Despite their broad differentiation, Under Armour does not currently own any brands. Overall, Nike has a broader and more established range and brands that help Nike stay ahead of its
  • 7. The Normal Operation Of A Botnet A.Botnet Life cycle Processes involved in the normal operation of a botnet has no comprehensive approach to either the stages encompassing the life cycle, or the lack of compartmentalization between them (see Figure 1, Botnet Life cycle Taxonomy). Apart from normal operations, so far there s no qualitative analysis on how these stages should be characterized, defined, or distinguished. A proposed botnetlife cycle stage starts with conception and ends with reaching the desired malicious intent, i.e. a successful attack and can include DDoS, spam, phishing, or click fraud. Corresponding mechanisms to these stages of the botnet life cycle are typically focused on attempting to hide the botnet (communication processes, location of the bots, and botmaster), some of these methods include IP spoofing, multi hopping, polymorphism, and fast flux networks. (GarcД±a Teodoro, Macia Fernandez, RodrД±guez Gomez, 2012). Any defensive approach to overcoming a botnet is dedicated to preventing execution of a particular process in one of the botnet life cycle stages or combine processes in one or more stages. Deterring execution of a single stage in the botnet life cycle can thwart a malicious and devastating outcome. In principle, prevention of hidden mechanisms doesn t suggest deterrence of the botnet goal, but increases the probability that a botnet will be identified by a defense method. In Ocean Lake high school 2 out of 5 school papers aren t published. Censorship issues have been going on for years. The Hazelwood School District v. Kuhlmeier Supreme Court case, in 1988, states that students cannot be censored by student officials if they have established the paper as a public forum(Innterobang/2007/3). Two of the articles were about teen pregnancy in, which he interviewed some, and Parent divorce. The articles were thrown out because there was no time to edit it, in which lead to the students claiming their first amendment was violated. If the paper receives any funding from the school, the school can have special guide lines the paper has to follow. There should still be censoring to an extent, like when the kid had sexual puns in the paper. It s still school you shouldn t have stuff like that in the papers. The censoring shouldn t get as bad as Ocean Lake high school. I think that teen pregnancy and other teen issues should be in the school paper to inform and protect the teens of the school. The first amendmaent is avalible for everyone and should be protected. I side with not censoring the school paper. Which do you side

In the book Night written by Elie Wiesel, he tells his story of when the Nazis took over Europe and sent the Jews to concentration camps. In his tear dropping book, the author writes about his experience in full detail of when he was taken from his home to when he was liberated by the American soldiers. In Night written by Elie Wieselthe argument presented is inhumanity, the behavior that the Nazis acted upon was inhumane. In the event when Moishe the beadle returned home after escaping the gestapo, he told Elie and the town people his experience, he told them this, Infants were tossed into the air and used as targets for the machine guns (Wiesel 6). Moishe told the people of the town his story, so that they would be aware of what he had gone through and warning them to flee before it was to late, although people said he had gone mad (Wiesel 7), he was telling the truth. • 11. The Fda s New Egg Safety Final Rule Anderson Cooper (AC): Good Evening American, and welcome to another debate. I am Anderson Cooper and I will be your host for the evening. The good news is that this debate is not related to the presidential election. Tonight we will be discussing a topic that I have recently become interested in, new FDA rules especially those related to eggs. Recently, there have been many foods borne illnesses outbreaks related to the eggindustry. Tonight we will specifically be talking about a company called Quality Eggs and the impact the government has on the effect of outbreaks. Besides this we will be discussing the FDA s new Egg Safety Final Rule. Tonight to discuss these issues we have Bill Marler, a managing partner of Marler Clark, a FoodSafety Law Firm, will argue the side of the government. Bill has represented many cases throughout his years, and has won numerous awards including the Seattle University s Professional Achievement Award in 2011 ( Marler Clark , n.d.) On the other side of the table tonight we have Randal Meyer who will be representing CATO. CATO is a public policy organization that works to educate people on their freedoms. CATO receives no government funding, and is supported mostly by tax deductible contributions and support from various contributors ( About CATO , n.d.). Now that we know a little bit about the two people participating in the debate let s start the debate. Good evening gentlemen are you both ready to debate the new egg safety laws? Bill
  • 12. Social Issues In Northanger Abbey, By Jane Austen Northanger Abbey is a classic written by Jane Austen. The novel is celebrated as a literary masterpiece that deals with the English social class system, along with the social rules and it shows the results of choices made by the characters. The story follows Catherine Morland, a girl who is heavily influenced by books, but is also very naГЇve to the outside world. Catherine lives in the modest town of Fullerton, and her life there has been mostly very protected and sheltered from lifestyles and habits of people outside of Fullerton. The Morlands are friends with another family named the Allen s. They are wealthy members of society, and they extend an invitation to take Catherine with them to Bath, which is a wealthy area for families that meet that clientele. The idea of having a rich and popular and important husband caught her attention more than marrying for love did. • 14. Persuasive Essay On Cloning Technology The Use of Cloning Technologies The ethical debate concerning cloning that has inevitably followed since the announcement and much celebrated birth of Dolly the Sheep in 1997, is highly charged and emotive. When human cloning is mentioned it normally has negative connotations with the individual conjuring up a mental picture of a sub human creature with an almost Frankenstein like appearance. Many people are afraid of the idea because it is a new technology and relatively misunderstood, and with the media using shock headlines to sell newspapers, this alone feeds the fear within us. There is of course much uncertainty over the meaning of cloning . This is the generalised term used by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Those in favour of cloning technology claim that it is a far more efficient form of reproduction as the success rate is higher and better controlled, where multiple pregnancies can be eradicated if required. For those couples, who desire children but cannot reproduce naturally or with the assistance of IVF, it would enable them to have a child that is biologically related to them. The questions automatically derived from this, centre around the uncertainty of the lifespan of the clone and premature ageing: would an old adult cell necessarily begin life again in an egg? Would a clone maintain a healthy lifestyle or would it be more prone to cancer or other diseases, and fundamentally is it ethical for scientists to defy the order of nature? When considering whether human cloning should be allowed, we must ask ourselves whether it is the natural progression of reproduction or the abolition of nature. In 2002, the organisation Clonaid announced the birth of their first human clone on 26th December. Eve was born by caesarean section having been created using similar technology to that used to clone Dolly the sheep. Clonaid claimed to have four other mothers imminently expecting to give birth to clones, one of which was to a Japanese couple who cloned their dead son after he had been killed in a motoring accident. All five babies are fit and well claimed Dr
  • 15. Necessity in The Things They Carried Essay Necessity in The Things They Carried Necessity is a rather slippery concept in terms of definition. The notion of what an individual requires for his or her survival varies with the particular situation at any given time. These needs may intensify or become distorted as one finds himself in an increasingly dangerous situation, particularly a life and death one such as war. Such dire circumstances may provoke in an average person feelings of extreme vulnerability, and the desire to hold on to all that he can, not unlike a child s instinct to grasp the nearest object in his search for comfort while in the throes of anxiety. Despite the fact that these necessary items or ideas that he clings to may impair or even threaten to destroy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But ironically, in this paragraph he also includes items such as Ted Lavender s six or seven ounces of premium dope, Rat Kiley s comic books, and Kiowa s Bible and his distrust of the white man (2 3). This indicates the importance of these things to the men, no matter how ironic that may be, because obviously illicit drugs and comics are not necessary to the common man for physical survival purposes. But this irony suggests the desperation of the situation that the men faced, a situation that could place comics on the same level as food. Perhaps the emptiness that the men felt drove them to think that they had to carry all of these extra items to survive, because they filled the emotional void that was in their heads, created by the numbingly horrific violence of the war. Another substantially detailed necessity of the men is their military supplies. O Brien goes into minute detail, for literally pages, describing the supplies that the men used for defense purposes. Primarily, he lists the standard weaponry for war, the typical rifles, grenades, and defensive clothing such as the flak jacket and helmet (6 7). He relates the enormous burden of weight that Ted Lavender was carrying when he was shot, and how that weight caused him to fall like a big sandbag or something just boom, then down. (7) The next passage describes all of the extra weapons they carried, ranging from fragmentation grenades to brass knuckles

Dante died shortly after finishing his final and best work in 1322. His ashes are still buried next to the church of San Francesco. Dante s Purgatory section of The Divine Comedy covers Dante s journey through Purgatory and the challenges he faces. Purgatory was an island with a huge mountain towering from it. At the top was Paradise or heaven. It was sealed off by a gate with angles guarding the entrance. The bottom was antepurgatory where the souls that were not ready for the journey resided. The mountain itself was composed of seven concentric ledges separated by steep cliffs. On each ledge, one of the seven capital sins waited on a soul. They were composed of Pride, Envy, Wrath Sloth, Avarice, Gluttony, and Lust. When the soul had released his sin, he was able to proceed to the next level. When he ascends to the next level, an angle would greet him and perform a cleansing ritual. In addition, on each ledge of Purgatory, there were models of the sin as well as the virtues which opposed the sin. These were a kind of test for the soul. Dante was guided by Virgil or

  • 18. Chivalry In The Song Of Roland At this point in history the men who fought the wars were lead by their leaders with a code of chivalry. Chivalry can be explained as the Anglo Saxon code on steroids. (McGee) Which is, explained further, a moral system for a good way to conduct fighting. The knights in Arthurian time went even further with that code to say that it was a way to conduct oneself not only in battle, but at all times. Knights, by being chivalrous, were kind to all people, fought well and true, kept faith and believed in the Christian God, and fought for their kings. Chivalry can be found across the Arthurian texts, The Song of Roland is one of the texts that has multiple examples of chivalry. Keeping faith with God, and the consequences of such are expressed in The Song of Roland. Ganelon broke a rule of chivalry, and when he did this, he also broke the ties he had with God. To separate himself from his lord Charlemagne was to separate himself from God. Thus he broke one of the rules of the code of chivalry. Another example from the text is when Roland was on the battlefield dying and the angels descended upon him and took his soul straight to heaven, despite how Roland had so self righteously not blown the horn to signal to Charlemagne that he needed aid. God took this, not as the sin of pride, but rather as a way of Roland protecting his lord, by not putting his lord into any unnecessary danger. This was one of the codes of chivalry, to believe in the hierarchy with God at the top. Another

The early emphasis on renewable energy in India was primarily on the wake of energy security concerns mooted during the global oil crisis around 1970s. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is argued that policy reforms initiated during the past two decades have transformed India s energy sector from a predominantly government owned system to a system largely driven by market elements. This is also evident in the case of renewable energy where the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) identifies the development of renewable energy in India across various phases: 1970s as research phase, 1980s as demonstration phase and 1990s onwards as commercialization phase with greater participation of private sector entities. The renewable sources of power in India still constitute a small portion of the entire power production of the country, with the total installed capacity of 32,000 MW (which is about 12% of the total installed capacity). Out of the total installed capacity, solar energy constitutes about 10 % (3200 MW). The solar potential of the country is huge. When people are being treated like objects instead of human beings and being mistreated for so long, this proves that some people are capable of sinking to the depths of brutality. Elie is so amazed and surprised, but he
  • 34. My Personality Group Through Human Metrics Over the course of this assignment; I have discovered much about myself. Likewise, I probably would not have learned this much about myself or my career, had I not taken this course. Such as how I have found my personality group through Human metrics; which presented that I was within the INFJ grouping (Jung, 1998). I was also able to learn much more about the career that I may be pursuing in the future, as well as the people in the field similar to it. The Jungian personality testshowed that my personalitytype, the INFP, is a mediator (Jung, 1998). The website claims that INFJs are idealistic, future oriented, as well as creative. The possible careers listed on the website are psychologists, artists, and child care/ teachers (BSM, 2016). These results show some correlation to my own personality, as I am aspiring to be an artist. I am also very future oriented and I would like to perceive myself as being rather creative. Another trait that I relate with would be how INFJs would typically value deep and authentic relationships with others. I enjoy harmony with others and predictable schedules. Such an example would be how I tend to eat dinner with friends around 6pm every night and do homework afterwards, as well as have the classes at the appropriate times throughout the week. The consistency of the schedule allows me to plan ahead without feeling too much stress, which may result in some errors along the way. As a child, I was always fascinated with subjects like
  • 35. Assess the Effect of Three Factors Which May Limit... Assess the significance of three factors which might limit economic development in the developing countries. Economic development can be defined generally as involving an improvement in economic welfare, measured using a variety of indices, such as the Human Development Index (HDI). A developing country is described as a nation with a lower standard of living, underdeveloped industrial base, and a low HDI relative to other countries. There are several factors which may have the effect of limiting economic development in such countries. Factors such as these include: primary product dependency, the savings gap and political instability. Primary product dependency occurs where production of primary products accounts for a large proportion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is because many developed countries may use protectionist measures to prevent developing countries from having free access to certain markets (which may include the markets for the developing countries primary product) thus making it more difficult for poorer countries to grow and develop. Foreign demand for a primary product may also limit economic growth as demand for a particular commodity will cause an increase in demand for a country s currency, thus resulting in the appreciation of the currency. This would reduce the competitiveness of the country s manufactured exports, thus leading to a decrease in the financial resources gained from exports which could have enabled the country to raise the level of economic welfare to encourage development. Moreover, falling terms of trade due to primary product dependency could limit economic development. This is illustrated by the Prebisch Singer hypothesis states that primary products tend to be income inelastic whereas the demand for manufactured good is income elastic in the long run. Therefore, as real incomes rise, the demand for manufactured goods will increase at a faster rate than the demand for primary products. This therefore means that primary product dependency acts as a limit to development in developing countries because it means that in the long run the terms of trade would be better for manufacturing products thus there would be more financial

But rarely do we find examples of organizations started by a group of illiterate men from the rural hinterlands of Pune and Mumbai to establish a successful cooperative model that has sustained itself through decades, today popularly known as the Mumbai Dabbawallas. • 37. The Art Of Medicine By Peter Pan The art of medicine is often portrayed throughout the variations of Peter Pan, whether positive or negative. Medicine takes shape in many forms; ranging from real, but make believe medicine, to pretend healing, to even poison. When taking these things into consideration, one can see how medicine is used to stay a child throughout Peter Pan. The novel and play of Peter Pan open up with a scene where the children are getting ready for bed and the parents are getting ready for dinner. In this scene, is the first depiction of medicine. Michael refuses to take his medicine and Mr. Darling says medicine is not a big deal, yet he will not take his. This shows the value of medicine. The characters know they need to take it because it is good for their health and the medicine will improve their health, but they have no desire to take it; therefore, the character s tease each other about it. The children have no desire to take their medicine because it is a responsibility and responsibility means growing up, which means leaving behind childish behaviors and no longer needing a nurse. This can also be related into today s time, when young kids do not wish to take their vitamins because adults often tell them that it will keep them healthy and will help them grow strong, but the kids resist because they do not wish to grow up, but stay a child forever. Also, when Peter returns for his shadow, Peter cannot reattach it to himself, as he tries to do so with soap. Though this may be

By the age of eight, Liszt began to compose elementary works. At the age of nine, he made his first public appearance as a concert pianist at Sopron and Pozsony. His playing impressed the local Hungarian magnates so much that they put up the money to pay for his musical education for the next six years. His father took a leave of absence from the Prince, so that he could devote his time to helping his son s musical education. They went to Vienna, where he learned piano with Carl Czerney, a composer and pianist who had been a pupil of Beethoven, and studied composition with Antonio Salieri, the musical director at the Viennese Court and one of Mozart s rivals. Liszt continued to perform concerts with great success, his most notable talent being his ability to

Before the mission starts, the responsibility of country s leader s is to make the special agreement with the UN. The agreement is signed between the UN and the leaders of the government. Based on the agreement, the host nation s leaders must support the UN peacekeeping operations in order to establish a safe working environment. The peacekeepers are supposed to achieve all tasks without any constraints from the host country authorities. Nevertheless, in some cases, this agreement is violated by leaders of the country. For instance, in the Darfur crisis, Al Bashir, who is the president of Sudan, plays to local fear. He said that the UN forces were not really providing peace in Darfur because they wish to recolonize Sudan and the UN military has a secret agenda (Paterson, 2008, p. 18). Additionally, in 2004, the African Union (AU) peacekeepers begun to arrive in Darfur. The mission s name was AU Mission in Sudan (AMIS) and was composed of about 7,500 soldiers and police from Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, and South Africa (Paterson, 2008). The government of Sudan, headed by Omar al Bashir, rejected any collaboration with the UN and noted that international military forces on its terrain would disrupt its independence (Paterson, 2008).

Following the collapse of the soviet block the 1990s could be considered a period of foreign policy stagnation, where the U.S attempted to seek out trade and diplomacy, rather than intervention and manipulation policies towards the countries of Latin America. Though, this seemingly came to an end with the onset of the terror attacks of September 11th, 2001, which sparked the new War on Terror American policy orientation back to a more interventionist approach. This paper will demonstrate how the different foreign policy approaches came about with contextual pressures and the means in which they employed to ensure that the U.S interest are upheld. Interests

So feasibly Falstaff and Jack Sparrow were included in their individual stories so the audience would get hooked on the story line and feel envious of these characters and their lifestyle. Falstaff may have been put into the story of Henry IV Part 1 because he comes off as more of an actual person than other characters, making the play more real to the audience. This is supported by how Falstaff takes advantage of his position given to him by Prince Hal for the war. Instead of gathering the bravest fighters he can so he can give his all to the cause, he finds the lowest of the low and takes bribes for letting certain people stay out of the war. Albert Tolman covers the idea of how real Falstaff is in an article he wrote, Why Did Shakespeare Create Falstaff?
