Since the end of the Cold War, the government of Lao PDR (GoL) promoted internal resettlement of
indigenous ethnic minorities from remote highlands to lowland areas and along roads as an effort to
make the delivery of government services such as health care and education more cost efficient.
Though the government considers resettlement a voluntary choice on the part of the village, the
government implements incentives for villages to resettle such as healthcare and disincentives for
villages to remain in the highland such as destruction of agriculture as an attempt to encourage
resettlement. But, internal resettlement had a devastating impact on the health of the relocated
minorities and the healthcare promised by the government was inadequate and in some places
nonexistent. To promote rural development, the Lao PDR government incentivized the resettlement of
ethnic minorities from the mountainous highlands to the lowlands as a way of improving the minority
s access to health care, but suppressed immune systems suppressed from malnutrition and exposure to
malaria ultimately increased mortality among those who resettled.

My Personal Classroom Management Philosophy
A classroom philosophy is fundamental for an effective educator, for not only does it set up one s
classroom but it also sets up the type of teacher that one wants to be. A classroom philosophy dictates
everything from discipline to the way one presents information. It is the driving force in a teacher s

Reflection on being stereotyped I have loved the nursing profession since childhood, and if I wanted

and what are my expectation in this job. I worked in Romania almost 14 years as a nurse and in my

her office, the DON told me she was impressed by me, but she can not give me the job because I do

no value, that all the work I have done to get the RN license was in vain. I felt that all the sky was

Banquo is another example. The witches prophecies to Macbeth and Banquo plant the seed of thought
in Macbeth s mind Thou shalt get (father) kings. When Macbeth becomes king, he sees this as a threat
to his kingship and attempts to murder Banquo s son, Fleance. Although this fails, Banquo is killed.
Macbeth is greatly influenced by the witches at their second meeting, and takes everything that they
say literally. Their first warning to Macbeth is that he should be wary of Macduff beware Macduff. In
response to this, Macbeth ruthlessly murders Macduff s family. The warning is the seed, but Macbeth

that people call the gospel . Some say it is the only way to get to Heaven, or that it is a doctrine of

One of the most frightening things is to realize the government is not on the same side as you.
Unfortunately, that is what happened with the African Americans during the reconstruction of the
south and the Jews in Hitler s Germany. Those who are supposed to help all of the nation and be fair
and just were not and turned against them. It was hard. The people suffered in many ways. There were
unjust politics, terror groups, rights were taken, and fallacies spread against them. What is worse is
that this kind of treatment happens throughout history and even today too so many groups. It is
important to understand how to recognize this and bring it to an end. Sadly, politics is a very sticky
topic no matter which way it is thrown. Not everyone can be pleased, however, that is not an excuse to
enslave, or dominate an entire race. This is what the South did after the war. Once the emancipation
proclamation was released the southern government worked to find loopholes to continue working the
African Americans community like they did before. The government created the Jim Crow laws in

Education may be conveyed in many formats, such as classrooms, laboratories, and books. Teachers
instruct within the classroom, while researchers and scientist utilize a laboratory setting for instruction
and education, while other forms of education derive from authors who communicate by the written
word. One well known author and educator is Samuel L. Clemens, more commonly known as Mark
Twain. Twain was born in Florida, Missouri on November 30, 1835 and utilized his childhood and
adolescent experiences as a method of education. Mark Twain is powerfully depicted as an
unconventional educator through his books, literature, and personal quotes.
Through some of Mark Twain s books he captures much of the history in which he lived. One of the
books that he has written is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, which is based upon his memories from
when he lived in Missouri (Twain, 1876). The adventures that he wrote about in this particular book
actually took place in history, giving us an insight into what it was like to live in that time period.
