Sigmund Freud s and Carl Rogers Differing Concepts of...
This essay is to describe Sigmund Freud s and Carl Rogers differing concepts of human psychology
concerning determinism. Freud is known to be a determinist. This means that he believes that humans
don t have free will, that there are forces beyond the individuals control which control their actions
and underlying reasons behind behaviours. (http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/determinism causal/).
Rogers is known as a non determinist. This is the belief that humans have free will, that they control
their own behaviours, desires and are not bound by laws
(http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/free will?q=free+will). However a new idea
which mostly stems from the cognitive approach has been created called Soft Determinism. This is the
idea that people have a degree of free will. That our behaviours and desires are mostly determined
however we can choose specific ways to act in particular situations.
Freud created the Psychodynamic Approach to explain behaviour. Within it, he describes that there are
3 components of the human mind: The conscious, Pre conscious and Unconscious. The conscious is
the part of the mind which is in our awareness; it contains behaviours and desires which we are aware
of. The pre conscious is the part of the mind between the conscious and unconscious, it contains items
such as memories and desires which we are not currently thinking about but can easily bring to
conscious awareness. Lastly is the unconscious. This part of the mind is

The Tenets Of Behaviorism
The term behaviorism referred to the school of psychology founded by John B. Watson based on the
proposition that all things which organisms do including acting, thinking and feeling can and should
be regarded as behaviors (Staddon, 2001) . And this behavior could be researched scientifically .
According to Pavlov, Respondent Conditioning resulted from the association of two stimuli, such as
causing dogs to salivate at the sound a tuning fork. Consequently, Skinner developed Operant
Conditioning where the Stimulus Response association was elicited through selective reinforcement
(rewards or punishments) to shape behavior. In this regard, behaviorism assumed that a learner was a
passive recipient and responding to environmental stimuli. When applying the tenets of Behaviorism
to teaching, Skinner asserted that the learner started off as a blank slate, and then his behavior was
shaped via positive or negative reinforcement. Behaviorist ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It combined new thinking in psychology, anthropology and linguistics. As for cognitivism, learning
was seen as change in learner s schemata. Language came primarily though the maturation that the
environment triggered off and not through the environment itself. (Brown, H.D. Gonzo, 1995).
Cognitive theorists may have wanted to understand how problem solving changed throughout
childhood, how cultural differences affected the way we view our own academic achievement ,
language development, and much more. (Feldman,1995). Unlike behaviourism, cognitivism
emphasized that learners were not a programmed animals or passive receivers that respond merely to
environmental stimuli; contrarily learners are rational human being and require active participation to

A Career as a Sheet Metal Worker
The career I am researching is a Sheet Metal Worker . I am researching this career because I would
someday want to go into the field of sheet metal working. I will want to do this because this career
leads to many different careers such as a field installer, a product manufacturer, and an architectural
designer. This field of work includes the opportunities to be a custom fabricator, grinder and finisher,
or a field installer. These are just some of the many opportunities available in this field of work. ( Your
para. 9) Architectural sheet metal working includes constructing and roofing structures with sheet
metal. ( Your para. 13) Industrial sheet metal working includes working on large scale projects such as
the building the machines used in automotive assembly. ( Your para. 8) A high level of skill is needed
to follow manufacturing blueprints and diagrams, and to follow written production guidelines. ( Sheet
Metal Worker. para. 7) Due to exposure to pollutants, gases, dust, fumes, odor, and poor ventilation,
protective gear such as gloves, a hard hat, safety shoes, glasses, or hearing protection must be used. (
Sheet Metal Worker. para. 3) The rate of injuries and illnesses for sheet metal workers is much higher

Toyota Code Of Conduct
Toyota Motor Corporation is a Japanese multinational corporation that was founded in 1937 by
Kiichiro Toyoda as a spinoff from his father s company Toyota Industries to create automobiles. It is a
Japanese automotive manufacturer headquartered in Toyota, Aichi, Japan. As of November 2014, it is
the 12th largest company in the world by revenue. Toyota is the one of the first companies to
manufacture more than 10 million vehicles per year. Three years earlier, still being a part of Toyota
Industries, in 1934, it created its first product, the Type A engine and in 1936, its first passenger car,
the Toyota AA. Toyota produces vehicles under 5 brands which include the following: Toyota brand

practice and serve as guidelines for day to day activities. Basic Approach to a Low Carbon Society: A
report was published by The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that highlighted
scientific assessments, climate change related impacts, adaption and vulnerability, and measures to
mitigate climate change. The impact of global warming lead to turbulent weather conditions, such as
sudden downpours causing extensive damage, and recorded amounts of heavy precipitation. Due to
these events, it affects Toyota severely. There could be delays in Toyota s business operations; they
would have difficulties in procuring raw materials, parts and other materials for the manufacture of
Toyota products in the main markets where Toyota manufactures, distributes and sells products. All of
these climatic changes affect society at large and therefore, entire world must commit to build a low
carbon society with a lower level of carbon dioxide emissions. Toyota makes it a point to take
necessary actions to reduce further global warming as a top priority management issue, and is working
to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at all stages of the vehicle lifecycle, including development,
design, production, logistics, and sales as well as in all of Toyota s business

Analysis Of Giuseppe Mazzini s The Duties Of Man
Giuseppe Mazzini was instrumental in unifying the Italian nation as his ideals spread throughout Italy
s intellectual community. Although many of his attempts at rallying the common people to a
revolution failed, he circulated and popularized the idea of a fully unified Italy for the first time since
the fall of the Roman Empire. In his work The Duties of Man, Mazzini establishes that he is largely a
romantic nationalist, since he draws heavily on history; however, he utilizes the power of certain
liberal nationalist sentiments such as individuals rights in his own work. In this document, Mazzini
largely focuses on how the ideas circulated after the French Revolution regarding the rights of man
have corrupted the true nature of a nation by creating a culture of greed and egoism. While he openly
discourages the erasure and pursuit of these rights, he is quick to point out that individuals egoism and
each nation s separation of class ... has grown and grows worse in nearly every country, and especially
where I write the price of the necessaries of life has gone on continually rising, the wages of the
working man in many branches of industry falling and the population multiplying (87). He argues here
that allowing any nation to be solely characterized by the rights of its citizens causes a nation to define
itself based on the millions of individuals, dividing any community or society which he believes is the
backbone of the nation. In Mazzini s view, the solution to this is by fostering a national culture of duty
to one another. When he asks, What is Society but a collection of men who have agreed to bring the
strength of the many in support of the rights of each? the audience is forced to question their own
personal hierarchy between rights and duties; for what is a nation if there is no work or duty in
achieving and maintaining the rights of every man within the nation (89)? It is through this
investigation that Mazzini reveals his ideas of what makes a nation a nation. By using familial themes,
much like the Russian romantic nationalist, Khomyakov, he is able to portray the nation s people more
clearly as a brotherhood and the nation itself as a maternal figure. Both Mazzini and Khomyakov

Archetypal Criticism of Blood Diamond
Through the movie Blood Diamond you can see many tragic events happening. There is loss for some
people and gain for others. The movie takes place during the time of the civil war in Sierra Leone in
1999 (Synopsis for Blood Diamond). The movie portrays the events that transpired between the
government soldiers and rebel forces. (Synopsis for Blood Diamond). As the Movie opens Solomon
Vandy is taken away from his family by RUF (the Revolutionary United Front). Among other
Solomon is set to work to find diamonds that will later be sold for a profit that Solomon does not get
to keep. Solomon hides the diamond inside the ground where Captain Poison sees him and demands
that Solomon hand it over. While this is transpiring, the group gets attacked and Captain Poison gets
sent to prison with Solomon before he can get his hands on the Diamond (Synopsis of Blood
Diamond). The next main character to be introduced is Danny Archer who is imprisoned for
smuggling diamonds into Liberia. Danny gets Solomon released from prison and the two make a deal
that Solomon will help Danny find the diamond on the condition that Solomon gets his family back.
The two set out on their journey and come across a journalist, Maddy Bowen who agrees to help
Solomon on his journey to find his family. During this time it becomes clear to Maddy that Danny is
only using Solomon to find the diamond and is planning to steal it and she decides to not help Danny

Examples Of Feminism In The Bloody Chamber
Angela Carter is a Feminist, do u think The Bloody Chamber is an example of a feminist literature?
Feminism is a concept that is not easily defined. Feminism is a complex ideology that encompasses
many different subcategories that are all uniquely different from one another. (Formisano,n.d) My
intention was not to do versions or, as the American edition of the book said, horribly, adult fairy tales,
but to extract the latent content from the traditional stories and to use it as the beginnings of new
stories. (Simpson, 2006) Therefore Carter uses elaborate and extended ways such as in a female
protagonist, a female perspective and a male villain to show her feminist stand in her writing The
Bloody Chamber.
According to Formisano, the majority of Angela Carter s works revolve around a specific type of
feminism, radical libertarian feminism. Women were historically the first oppressed group, and most
widespread. It exists in everywhere. Women s oppression ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Women s oppression is above class oppression. It has high levels of sexist prejudices, and causes the
most suffering to victims. Women s oppression brings a level of understanding to other types of
oppression. Radical feminism is said to derive from several notions of Marxism. The main idea being
used from Marxist theory is the concept of the oppressors and the oppressed. Therefore, radical
feminists want to destroy the whole concept of the sex/gender as a class system, and wish to end the
idea of differences between men and women. (Zeiber, 2008) In the The Bloody Chamber the radical
libertarian feminism can be seen through the protagonist, who is not a submissive, obeying girl. It
seems the female protagonist does what she wants. At the

competitors. The history of the company and its industry are also clear and complete. I think we can
also mention that Netflix, Inc. is the world s leading Internet television network with over 75 million
streaming members in over 190 countries enjoying more than 125 million hours of TV shows and

Business Risks In the annual 10 K report, Netflix mentions many business risks, but I chose to only
state the following three:
If Netflix s efforts to attract and retain members are not successful, the business will be adversely
affected;
Changes in how we market our service could adversely affect our marketing expenses and
membership levels may be adversely affected;
Any significant disruption in or unauthorized access to its computer systems or those of third parties

Growing up in the South East, religion substantially impacted my life. I learned everyone was equal

the Kingdom of God. As I advanced through my adolescent years, I discovered I was unique from
everyone else; I was not attracted to girls like my male peers were. Post few years of unsettled feelings
on the playground and in middle school gym class, at age fourteen, I concluded I was bisexual. In the

Better Than Driving A Car By Landslides
It s a question people can t help but think as the plane begins to speed down the runway, the engines
roar, and you start to go up thousands of feet into the air toward a destination: Are airplanes safer than
cars? It s a fear people don t have when driving a bowling alley or in an Uber or Lyft on the way home
from a friend s house. But the reality is, according to statistics from the United States government,
flying on a plane on average is safer than driving a car by a landslide. Data from the National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) shows that in 2015, there were over 32,100 fatal
motor vehicle accidents that lead to just over 35,000 deaths. That comes out to be 1.1298 fatalities per

The Road Not Taken Tone
One of Robert Frost s most well know works: The Road Not Taken , is arguably one of the most
controversial and misunderstood poems. By just reading the title, it seems fairly simple to assume that
the poem is about making choices. When the speaker is presented the two roads he must make a
choice as to which path he will take for he: Could not travel both (Line 2). As the speaker looks down
both paths as far as he can, he deciphers back and forth from believing that the paths are equal to one
path is better over the other. The speaker eventually decides which path to take and he states that his
choice: Has made all the difference (Line 20). The title and plot lead people to believe that the central
theme is about choices and the importance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though he may want to try it out, he comes to terms with the fact that there is no turning back and
that: Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back (Lines 14,15). With
these lines, Frost uses the tone of regret and shows that it is the speaker s original choice that led him
to his own new road. To carry on that tone of regret, in the sixteenth line the speaker states that he:
Shall be telling this with a sigh (Line 16). By saying this, the speaker unintentionally shows that he is
nostalgic on the decision of his path. If he were to be told which path to take, he may not have been in
the position of regret. While the speaker was unsure of his road in the beginning, he also ended up
being unsure of if he could take the other path later on. Yet again, Frost shows that the speaker had to
be self reliant in his decisions, showing that he is alone in the world. Everyone has a journey to take in
life and everyone is on their own individual path. While others may be along for the ride, it is
ultimately everyone fighting for themselves and going places alone. Frost s poem The Road Not Taken
shows just this. He uses the simple task of a fork in the road with a division of paths to show how
human desolation is real

Mrs. Louise Carlill did both and sued to recover her $100, as was promised by Frederick Roe. Carlill
stated that some arguments on the advertisement were not accurately reported. It was also seen that
Carlill had not used the smoke ball correctly or even get influenza which was also one of the
requirements in order to receive the $100. At the court, Carbolic Smoke Ball Co brought up many
legal issues in regards to contract law. One of the claims was that the advertisement was an open door

bilateral contract the acceptance of the offer needs to be communicated and ad seen Carlill never did
that. The court rejected most of these arguments and continued that there was a contract. Moreover,
communication is not necessary since this case has to do with a unilateral contract. Acceptance and

Dialogue And Authentic Dialogue
Authentic Dialogue When it comes to communicating with people, I do not have a hard time.
Although, this past fall semester I was put to the test. There was a student in our Dialogue and
Personality class that was, difficult. This caused the dynamic in class to be very off putting and hard to
communicate in. He was angry, negative and wasn t afraid to bring the class down with his negative
attitude. This is one example out of many how dialogue can be hard when you are dealing with
conflict. That being said, I would love to talk more about how conflict in dialogue can effect
conversation, how I have experienced authentic dialogue, as well as breaking down if authentic
dialogue was supported within my experiences. To begin, I would like to talk a little bit more about
conflict.
Conflict can be seen in many different situations in dialogue. It is important to be aware of signs so
that you can handle the situation properly. When there is conflict in dialogue it can hinder any
progress to be made within the conversation. Some things that may hinder dialogue are close minded
people, judgment, lack of empathy and people being attacked and blamed. All of these things our class
experienced with our former classmate. I remember the first class hoping he would drop because the
class environment was that uncomfortable. I think that shows that even how well you try to facilitate
or deal with conflict, sometimes its extremely difficult to find a resolution. Granted, our professor did

Death Constant Beyond Love By Gabriel Garcia Mrquez
In the short story, Death Constant Beyond Love , the significance of the title of the story has many
meanings. The first meaning is that death is the one this that is constant. Regardless of how we feel
about one another, emotions evolved, and even love, all things will come to an end. If something dies,
it is forever. Therefore, nothing can come back to life. Giving death a constant role in life. I found the
title of this story to be very direct to its readers. This story spoke on different symbols that author,
Gabriel Garcia Márquez, touched on. The symbols he spoke about were politics, corruption, trading of
women, human vanity, isolation, and moral decrepitude. These different concerning issues are
definitely issues that we as people go through each day. From the deception and corruption from
politics to people feeling lonely and feeling isolated from life. But, does this make these things okay?
One of the main characters, Senator Onesimo Sanchez, is running for reelection. He is the
representation of politics and the government. He comes to the town called, Rosal del Virrey, where he
holds a public ceremony to address the community. His speech was memorized and rehearsed which
also held many false promises, lacked significance and true meaning. Once again, showing that the
government just wants the votes and does not truly care. Then came trucks with rented Indians who
were carried into the towns in order to enlarge the crowds at the public ceremonies. The

Excerpt From How Jackie Robinson Changed Baseball
Imagine being so passionate about one thing that you are willing to face criticism and hate to do it.
This was the case for Jackie Robinson, both a baseball player and a civil rights icon. Robinson was the
first African American baseball player to play in an all white league (in the 20th century). He was
often faced with hate and had to listen to people s cruel remarks. He also had his fair share of
supporters, who admired him for breaking racial barriers in the United States. He was the start of a
new area for the baseball leagues of America. Hero by Scott Simon, Excerpt from How Jackie

would challenge the color barrier too). Author Jessica McBirney expresses this idea in Excerpt from
How jackie Robinson Changed Baseball , where she expounds; Jackie Robinson became the first
Major League baseball player to break the color barrier since 1880 (Birney). It had been years since a
team had members of both race. Robinson did not accept this and signed to the Dodgers even though
he knew what he would have to face. Robinson also challenged the U.S. social norms by becoming
one of the first African Americans to be inducted into the Baseball hall of Fame. This as a massive feat
for Robinson, for this had not happened many times before. Robinson s baseball success prompted
other African Americans to join sports teams that were previously whites only. In the video Jackie

s baseball career around one hundred and fifty other African American/black players joined previously
all white baseball teams (2:31 2:37). This movement of African Americans joining all white sports
teams head butted with the age old idea of separation between the two races. This social norm was

Gender Is A Social Aspect Essay
Gender has always been around, but it has caused confusion for some about the true meaning, through
this, two perspectives have come to light. Those who believe that gender is something that you are
born with, your biological self that differentiates you from your opposite (male/female). Then there
are those who believe that gender is a social constructed aspect of ones life. What your parents and
society label you the minute you are born. Examples being a girl wears pink, a boy wears blue. These
colours are a significant symbol of assigning one a gender, for if they do not wear those colours (in
some instances) then people will not be able to distinguish them this generally shown in a newborn
babies case. Through a socially constructed perspective, certain ways of living are formed for each
persons gender, in olden day New Zealand, women, at a certain point in time were assumed to stay at
home, with the children and be good wives. Whereas men were to be in the labour force, whether it be
working class, or in the higher areas of parliament. This was all up until the mid 1800s were the first
wave feminism came into act.
There are many aspects within a persons educational life, that can affect them greatly, gender being
one of them. Depending on the job, a persons gender can hold major implications to their progression
in that area. In modern day, gender still holds a major impact on a persons life, especially if they are
females. All over the world there is still clear

What Nutritional Problem Is Common
What nutritional problem is common in children in India? Neural tube defects are defects found in the
brain and spine that are present at birth. They usually appear during a woman s first month of
pregnancy. Neural tube defects are preventable with the use of a folic acid supplement before and
during pregnancy. Folic acid is a B vitamin that can prevent an infant from developing a neural tube
defect (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2015). All of the vitamins in the vitamin B
classification have been of specific concentration lately. The vitamins in the vitamin B classification
are the following: vitamin B12, vitamin B6, zinc and folate. Deficiencies in vitamin B12 and folate are

Many times a woman does not know she is pregnant so she does not take a folic acid supplementation.
Women should be consuming .4mg of folic acid before and during pregnancy. Women that have had a
neural tube defect pregnancy should take 4.0 mg of folic acid a day to prevent another neural tube
defect pregnancy. Women should continue taking folic acid supplements through the first trimester
(Kumar, 2009).
A deficiency in folate can play a role in the development of neural tube defects in infants. The authors
found that low zinc levels and high copper levels may also play a role in neural tube defects (Kumar,
2009). Folic acid has been fortified in enriched grains, such as, rice, cereal, bread and pasta. Rice is
one of India s staple foods. Rice fortification may help reduce the risk of neural tube defects. Older
children have been studied and fortified rice eliminated the micronutrient deficiency in folate.
(Thankachan, et al., 2012) The hope is that women will eat enough of these foods to prevent a folate
deficiency (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2015). An earlier report found that 4.1 infants
with neural tube defects out of 1,000 total births reported having neural tube defects in India. The
authors found that different states of India report different numbers of neural tube defects. This is due
to availability for food, poverty in certain areas and availability of folic acid supplements. Each state

African American Influence On Cuban Culture
Before the popularization of Son, Cuban music and dance was largely influenced by Europe.
Compositions in the early period closely resemble songs from middle class Europe. These genres
include: the creole, canción and danzón (Moore 17). While these genres were seen as the model of
Cuban expression at the turn of the century, the Afrocuban music known as Son would soon become
(and remain) the paragon of Cuban artistic and cultural expression; the previous genres paled in
comparison in terms of popularity. Fusing African, Indigenous and European elements, Son
exemplified the transculturation that so many of the elites in Cuba were promoting as Cuba s identity;
however, the most prominent elements in Son music originated from Africa, which did ... Show more

There are two main reasons for this persistence: the brutish and inhumane practices from Spanish and

of slavery in 1886, the Spanish and Portuguese s philosophy was to work their slaves to death for four
to five years, before bringing in a new hoard of bodies. Unlike the United States, there was little effort
to integrate slaves into the culture. Because no assimilation took place, African culture was never

Ori. This concept referred one s culture residing in the head or consciousness, and therefore unable to

The Positive And Negative Aspects Of Social Networks
here are many different opinions to social networks. Some think it is stupid to share every single

A positive of social networks is that you can stay in touch with your friends and family from all

Degree In Counseling
Pursuing a degree in counseling is a task that is both exciting and scary at the same time. There are
many processes in which the new graduate student goes through not only academically, but also in
their personal life. This journal entry provides a short perspective of how life change for one student.
Here, one can find some of the thoughts and feelings a new counselor in training (CIT) experienced
during enrollment, beginning class, and some of the changes made to fit graduate studies into life. To
begin with, many who choose to go into counseling do so for different reasons. In the case of one
particular student, the motivation came after seeing the impact a counselor could have with her clients

As mentioned above, there are specific times when each assignment is due each week. Thus, time
management skills need to be utilized in order to consistently turn in assignments on time. For many
who are in the counseling program the adjustments can be difficult to achieve at first, given that it
lessens their leisure time or because it takes time away from their family members. Adjustments are
not only difficult for those in the program, but also those close to them. However, one important piece
of advice is to focus on quality time with family members. Having good communication about the
expectations graduate school requires with family members is also important in order to obtain both

The Disappearance Of Childhood By Neil Postman
Even though childhood has change for the better there is an argument stating that childhood is
disappearing at a dazzling speed (Postman, 1996) says that there is a closing gap between childhood
and adulthood. Neil Postman (1996) claims this in his book The Disappearance of Childhood .
Postman theory was purely based on the way that communications through technology were made
which shapes society today. He thinks that due to the technology such as television and the Internet
children nowadays are much likely to have more access to the adult world , thus childhood to be
disappearing (Postman, 1982). He claims its Frankenstein Syndrome consequence of the mass media
is mainly the responsible for the usage of television, and the social media. Palmer (2007) parallels this
study with Postman (1982) and thinks that parents tend to use technology such as television and
electronic games to keep their children occupied and to be quiet due to their busyness or maybe too
preoccupied by consumerism to give the children the traditional childhood. The book makes durable
case for the traditional values and through her study has noticed that children need to develop skills
such as developing their focus. She also recommends real food rather the ones high in sugar and more
fish oil, eaten at family meals. Another study has also been made by Pugh (2002) he proposes that
parents that spends time with and on their children is consumption as compensation . The parents who

Environmental Justice Is The Fair Treatment And...
Environmental Justice is the fair treatment and involvement of people of all races, national origin, or
income regarding the construction, implementation, and enforcing of environmental regulations and
policies (EPA). No single group of people should carry the full burden of pollution produced by
industry or commercial operations in their vicinity. The discourse on environmental justice cannot
proceed without mentioning environmental racism. According to the EPA, environmental racism is the
targeting of non white communities when locating harmful facilities, where racial minorities are not a
part of the decision making process. Environmental racism is one manifestation of environmental
injustice reinforced by economic and political institutions (Bullard, 559).
Above all, Environmental Justice has its roots in Warren County, North Carolina. In 1982,
demonstrations by community members with the NAACP in Warren County opposed the decision to
place a PCB landfill in an African American majority neighborhood. It resulted in over hundreds of
arrests but put environmental justice on national headlines. Furthermore, the protests led the United
Church of Christ to undertake a study entitled, Toxic Wastes and Race in the United States . This
seminal study analyzed the connection between the placement of waste sites and race in the country. It
found race to be the most confounding determinant in siting hazardous waste facilities in certain
communities. Furthermore, the study

The Cases Of Civil Resistance In The French Revolution

Disadvantages Of Pilgrimages
Many pilgrimages test and enhance the faith of each believer, embarking on a once in a lifetime
journey enriched with spiritual fulfillment. Pilgrims commonly seek a specific place that is associated
with a divinity or other holy personage. One of many pilgrimages is the Hajj, located in Saudi Arabia.
It provides Muslims all around the world a sense of spiritual and psychological nourishment. While it
encourages social and cultural mixing, as well as interactions between them, each Muslim undertakes
the pilgrimage with a religious motive and faith, often enabling them to embrace cultural diversity
while seeking a spiritual cleansing of their souls and a fresh start. After the journey of the pilgrimage,
the believers bring back many religious and emotional experience that would affect them throughout
their daily life.
The Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam which occurs in the last month on the Islamic Calendar. The
Hajj is a five to six day journey that will challenge Muslims to take part in many celebrations,
sacrificial and spiritual practices, intended to bring about greater humility and unity among the
Muslim community. Giving them a chance to wipe clean their sins and start fresh (Batrawy, 2016).

Wealth Distribution and William Domhoffs Wealth, Income,...
In William Domhoff s article, Wealth, Income, and Power, he examines wealth distribution in the
United States, specifically financial inequality. He concludes that the wealthiest 10% of the United
States effectively owns America, and that this is due in large part to an increase in unequal distribution
of wealth between 1983 and 2004. Domhoff also states that the unequal wealth distribution is due in
large part to tax cuts for the wealthy and the defeat of labor unions. Most of Domhoff s information is
accurate and includes strong, valid arguments and statements. However, there is room for
improvement when identifying the subject of what is causing the inequality.

William Domhoff s claims in the article Wealth, Income, and Power, are, for the most part, very
strong. He makes strong statements regarding the concentration of wealth in the United States, and
backs them up with good sources throughout. The statistics used are valid, and consistent among many
trusted sources. The only area where Domhoff s argument falls short is when he references the causes
of wealth inequality. In this portion, his argument is a bit weak and could be strengthened by
considering other important factors effecting wealth concentration, rather than limiting it to two
seemingly all important issues. Overall, upon examination of Domhoff s ideas and sources, he
presents an accurate and fairly strong argument about the unequal distribution of wealth in the United
States.

Analysis Of Aladdin By John Musker And Ron Clements
Recently, over the Winter, I brought my girlfriend to watch the Broadway Musical Aladdin. It was a
very spectacular Broadway musical. I have been to many Broadway plays like Matilda and Wicked,
but Aladdin, in my opinion was my favorite one. The Broadway musical is based off the 1992 Disney
film Aladdin, which was directed by John Musker and Ron Clements. Since the musical was produced
in 2014, I got to see the original cast, which was pretty astounding. The music and acting was very
well played by the actors during the play. Besides the singing in the musical, there was an orchestra
playing their instruments underneath the stage, so all you can see is the conductor telling the orchestra
what to do. The subject of the musical was to entertain the people watching and to tell the story of the
Disney movie in a musical way. The purpose of the musical is to show how Princess Jasmine is being
forced who to marry by her father and she wants to be the person who decides that. In the play, three
characters were added which were not in the original movie, Aladdin s friends. Their names are
Babkak, Omar, and Kassim. I found it to be creative that the play creators added them. They called
themselves Four guys with one Arabian dream. Also in the movie, the villain, Jafar has an evil
sidekick which is a parrot, but in the play, Jafar s sidekick is a human. Another change was in the
movie Aladdin also a sidekick as well. Aladdin s sidekick is a monkey named Abu and in the play

The San Francisco Earthquake By Jerome Clark
Rajdeep Singh
Men lost their reason at these awful moments ( The San Francisco Earthquake, 1906 4). This was said
by Jerome Clark, a survivor of San Francisco s deadliest earthquake in history. In this single sentence,
he described the entire disaster through his own eyes ( The San Francisco Earthquake, 1906 4). The
Great San Francisco Earthquake may be studied by examining the earthquake, the fire, and the
aftermath of the disaster.
The night before the earthquake was almost like any other night in the bristling city of San Francisco.
The world famous opera singer, Enrico Caruso, was performing at the city s Grand Opera House. The
music and singing filled the building with harmonious notes. Caruso s voice was like thunder, and it
seemed to shake the Opera House. Little did the spectators know that the earthquake to come in a
matter of hours would not only shake, but destroy San Francisco s Opera House (Montagne 1). On
April 18, 1906 at 5:12 AM, the citizens of San Francisco were awakened by intense shaking. The
earthquake lasted from forty to sixty seconds, with a small fore shock that arrived 20 seconds earlier.
It is difficult for scientists to estimate the intensity of this earthquake because of the early and
inaccurate equipment from the turn of the century. With today s modern equipment, seismologists
have estimated the earthquake to be a 7.7 to 8.3 on the Richter scale. This single quake ruptured 290
miles along California s San Andreas fault line

Critical Race Theory And Conflict Theory Paper
Critical Race Theory and Conflict Theory Society contains groups with diverse interests, where
competing interests encourage conflict (Hutchison, 2013). The racial ideology in the United States is
the belief in a hierarchy of races with whites at the top and other races grouped underneath (Robbins,
Chatterjee, Canda, 2011). One way minorities are depicted as different from whites is through imagery
that creates detachment and seclusion between groups (Ortiz Jani, 2010).
Critical Race Theory Critical race theory (CRT) assumes this society was created to empower White
people; CRT is focused on transforming the relationships between race and racial power assembled by
law and culture (Delgado Stefancic, 2012). This theory suggests that racism is embedded in American
society (Helms, 2006), looking at how racial pride in being White can be exhibited in tolerable ways
or as White superiority (Delgado Stefancic, 2012). As a post modern theory, CRT encourages
structural approach by attending to the problems of a diverse society, instead of purely increasing
access to obtainable opportunities and resources (Ortiz Jani, 2011). History is ... Show more content

There are also many fee based businesses of banks which have resulted in increasing the income of the
banks. (Davila) There has been significant increase in the profitability of banks from 2004 to 2008,
this was due to increase in net margins and decrease in non performing loans. However, the growth is
not very sustainable as every financial system is interconnected with the economic system. If the
economy slows down then the banking industry will be hugely affected. Capitals of banks have fallen
down and there is a forecast of average earnings of 14% per annum which is less than previous the

made its own norms and banks had to comply with them. This is due to the hierarchy system which
does not give banks a lot of independence to make decisions. Strategic partnerships were limited to
20% and foreign ownership to 25% leading to increased foreign investments especially for the
SOCBs. The foreign investors were eager to spread their businesses in mainland China and were
looking to tap into the growing credit card and asset management in China, however, the Chinese

Language In Their Eyes Were Watching God
Their Eyes Were Watching God, a Unique American Narrative
Their Eyes Were Watching God, a 1937 novel by influential Harlem Renaissance writer Zora Neale
Hurston, examines the historical, cultural, and social foundations of African American life by
following the life of an African American woman in the US South. In her examination of these
foundations, Hurston builds validity and affirmation for black Southern culture by beautifully
portraying the life of the Black Southern community in the Antebellum period, by adopting a
distinctly African American dialect and colloquial Black folk speech, and by using a narrative inside
the novel to construct and narrativize the African American identity.

configuration of each firewall which is time consuming and prone to errors and eliminate repeated
experiments.
Traditional firewalls are topology restricted and considerer everyone on the inside are trusted and one
on the outside is a least potentially an enemy. In order to overcome the difficulties for traditional

In the recent years, the threat that faces data and information has been systematically increasing, from
viruses to organized gangs that aim to stifle the operations of information systems, steal crucial
information or facilitate leakage of competitive information.
A firewall is a collection of components, interposed between two networks, that filters traffic between
them according to some security policy (Cheswick Bellovin, 1994). Due to the increase in network
attacks and awareness of cyber security firewalls are used not only in companies but also in home
networks. Firewalls are the frontline of defence to secure the networks from security risks and attacks
from cyber criminals. Firewalls filters network traffic based on filtering rules defined by the firewall
administrator or admin. Although firewalls protects from network attacks, virus etc, it depends on the
firewall policies defined, if the policies are not defined properly it proposes a security risk and limits
the effectiveness of firewall security. . There are mainly three types of firewalling techniques based on
the OSI layer in which the firewall is acting on. They are (1) packet filters, which inspect each packet
passing through them, (2) application Gateways which act on specific applications such as FTP, Telnet
etc and (3) circuit level Gateways, which apply security mechanisms whenever TCP and UDP
connections are established. Firewalls have

ABSTRACT/SYNOPSIS
A firewall is a product that sets up a security border whose primary undertaking is to piece or limit
both approaching and active data over a system. These firewalls are fundamentally not compelling and
suitable for professional workplaces to keep up security of data while it bolsters the free trade of
perspectives. In this paper, i think about system firewall that helps the professional workplace and
alternate systems that need to trade data over the system. A firewall ensures the stream of activity over

It ensures protection by standing amongst system and the outside world. The information move in any
direction must go through the firewall.
3.0 TYPES OF FIREWALLS :
There are various types of technique which might be executed by a firewall. Some of them are as per
the following:
Packet channel
Application gateway
Circuit level gateway
Proxy server
3.1 PACKET FILTER:
It focuses at one packet at once and after that it applies some set of guidelines to every packet and
afterwards it chooses to either forward the packet or dispose the packet. The standards depend on
various fields in the IP and TCP/UDP headers i.e. Source and destination address, IP protocol field,
TCP/UDP port number.
Attackers can break the security with the assistance of following techniques:
IP ADDRESS SPOOFING : In this kind of attack, attackers send a packet to inside network, by setting
source
IP address equals to IP address of inside client.
SOURCE ROUTING ATTACKS: Here attackers determine the route that is trailed by the packet to
move along the web with the goal that packet filter can be tricked to sidestep its normal checks.
Solution: The solution of this attack is disposed of all packets that use this alternative.
Advantages:
It is Simple to execute.
Low hardware cost, shabby boxes can do packet filtering.
Rules set are less complex.
3.2 APPLICATION GATEWAYS
With a specific end goal to control dangers when internal server permits connections

The importance of protecting the safety of the public and most importantly, the children is a lot higher
than the offenders right to privacy. According to a study done by Expert Law, the biggest raised
concern is the fear of vigilantism. That is, law enforcement undertaken without legal authority by a
self appointed group of people. The fear was if neighbors learned about a sex offender s presence in
their neighborhood and decided to force them out or cause physical harm, which is illegal. Violent acts
against offenders are uncommon.
Megan s Law comes with the disadvantage that it discourages many sex offenders from participating
in the registry due to the fear factor of them being attacked or looked at differently in their
neighborhood. Even though it is a felony offense to fail to register on Megan s Law, around 20% of
offenders do not comply with the registration requirement. The United Kingdom does not have public

  • 2. Sigmund Freud s and Carl Rogers Differing Concepts of... This essay is to describe Sigmund Freud s and Carl Rogers differing concepts of human psychology concerning determinism. Freud is known to be a determinist. This means that he believes that humans don t have free will, that there are forces beyond the individuals control which control their actions and underlying reasons behind behaviours. (http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/determinism causal/). Rogers is known as a non determinist. This is the belief that humans have free will, that they control their own behaviours, desires and are not bound by laws (http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/free will?q=free+will). However a new idea which mostly stems from the cognitive approach has been created called Soft Determinism. This is the idea that people have a degree of free will. That our behaviours and desires are mostly determined however we can choose specific ways to act in particular situations. Freud created the Psychodynamic Approach to explain behaviour. Within it, he describes that there are 3 components of the human mind: The conscious, Pre conscious and Unconscious. The conscious is the part of the mind which is in our awareness; it contains behaviours and desires which we are aware of. The pre conscious is the part of the mind between the conscious and unconscious, it contains items such as memories and desires which we are not currently thinking about but can easily bring to conscious awareness. Lastly is the unconscious. This part of the mind is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Tenets Of Behaviorism The term behaviorism referred to the school of psychology founded by John B. Watson based on the proposition that all things which organisms do including acting, thinking and feeling can and should be regarded as behaviors (Staddon, 2001) . And this behavior could be researched scientifically . According to Pavlov, Respondent Conditioning resulted from the association of two stimuli, such as causing dogs to salivate at the sound a tuning fork. Consequently, Skinner developed Operant Conditioning where the Stimulus Response association was elicited through selective reinforcement (rewards or punishments) to shape behavior. In this regard, behaviorism assumed that a learner was a passive recipient and responding to environmental stimuli. When applying the tenets of Behaviorism to teaching, Skinner asserted that the learner started off as a blank slate, and then his behavior was shaped via positive or negative reinforcement. Behaviorist ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It combined new thinking in psychology, anthropology and linguistics. As for cognitivism, learning was seen as change in learner s schemata. Language came primarily though the maturation that the environment triggered off and not through the environment itself. (Brown, H.D. Gonzo, 1995). Cognitive theorists may have wanted to understand how problem solving changed throughout childhood, how cultural differences affected the way we view our own academic achievement , language development, and much more. (Feldman,1995). Unlike behaviourism, cognitivism emphasized that learners were not a programmed animals or passive receivers that respond merely to environmental stimuli; contrarily learners are rational human being and require active participation to ... It is a Japanese automotive manufacturer headquartered in Toyota, Aichi, Japan. As of November 2014, it is the 12th largest company in the world by revenue. In addition to this, the Toyota Way 2001 and Toyota Code of Conduct contain the values and methods that employees should adopt in putting the Guiding Principles at Toyota onto practice and serve as guidelines for day to day activities. Basic Approach to a Low Carbon Society: A report was published by The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that highlighted scientific assessments, climate change related impacts, adaption and vulnerability, and measures to mitigate climate change. The impact of global warming lead to turbulent weather conditions, such as sudden downpours causing extensive damage, and recorded amounts of heavy precipitation. Due to these events, it affects Toyota severely. There could be delays in Toyota s business operations; they would have difficulties in procuring raw materials, parts and other materials for the manufacture of Toyota products in the main markets where Toyota manufactures, distributes and sells products. All of these climatic changes affect society at large and therefore, entire world must commit to build a low carbon society with a lower level of carbon dioxide emissions. Toyota makes it a point to take necessary actions to reduce further global warming as a top priority management issue, and is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at all stages of the vehicle lifecycle, including development, design, production, logistics, and sales as well as in all of Toyota s business ... • 6. Analysis Of Giuseppe Mazzini s The Duties Of Man Giuseppe Mazzini was instrumental in unifying the Italian nation as his ideals spread throughout Italy s intellectual community. Although many of his attempts at rallying the common people to a revolution failed, he circulated and popularized the idea of a fully unified Italy for the first time since the fall of the Roman Empire. In his work The Duties of Man, Mazzini establishes that he is largely a romantic nationalist, since he draws heavily on history; however, he utilizes the power of certain liberal nationalist sentiments such as individuals rights in his own work. In this document, Mazzini largely focuses on how the ideas circulated after the French Revolution regarding the rights of man have corrupted the true nature of a nation by creating a culture of greed and egoism. While he openly discourages the erasure and pursuit of these rights, he is quick to point out that individuals egoism and each nation s separation of class ... has grown and grows worse in nearly every country, and especially where I write the price of the necessaries of life has gone on continually rising, the wages of the working man in many branches of industry falling and the population multiplying (87). He argues here that allowing any nation to be solely characterized by the rights of its citizens causes a nation to define itself based on the millions of individuals, dividing any community or society which he believes is the backbone of the nation. In Mazzini s view, the solution to this is by fostering a national culture of duty to one another. When he asks, What is Society but a collection of men who have agreed to bring the strength of the many in support of the rights of each? the audience is forced to question their own personal hierarchy between rights and duties; for what is a nation if there is no work or duty in achieving and maintaining the rights of every man within the nation (89)? It is through this investigation that Mazzini reveals his ideas of what makes a nation a nation. By using familial themes, much like the Russian romantic nationalist, Khomyakov, he is able to portray the nation s people more clearly as a brotherhood and the nation itself as a maternal figure. Both Mazzini and Khomyakov promote ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Feminism is a complex ideology that encompasses many different subcategories that are all uniquely different from one another. (Formisano,n.d) My intention was not to do versions or, as the American edition of the book said, horribly, adult fairy tales, but to extract the latent content from the traditional stories and to use it as the beginnings of new stories. (Simpson, 2006) Therefore Carter uses elaborate and extended ways such as in a female protagonist, a female perspective and a male villain to show her feminist stand in her writing The Bloody Chamber. According to Formisano, the majority of Angela Carter s works revolve around a specific type of feminism, radical libertarian feminism. Therefore, radical feminists want to destroy the whole concept of the sex/gender as a class system, and wish to end the idea of differences between men and women. • 12. The Road Not Taken Tone One of Robert Frost s most well know works: The Road Not Taken , is arguably one of the most controversial and misunderstood poems. By just reading the title, it seems fairly simple to assume that the poem is about making choices. When the speaker is presented the two roads he must make a choice as to which path he will take for he: Could not travel both (Line 2). As the speaker looks down both paths as far as he can, he deciphers back and forth from believing that the paths are equal to one path is better over the other. The speaker eventually decides which path to take and he states that his choice: Has made all the difference (Line 20). Though he may want to try it out, he comes to terms with the fact that there is no turning back and that: Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back (Lines 14,15). With these lines, Frost uses the tone of regret and shows that it is the speaker s original choice that led him to his own new road. To carry on that tone of regret, in the sixteenth line the speaker states that he: Shall be telling this with a sigh (Line 16). By saying this, the speaker unintentionally shows that he is nostalgic on the decision of his path. If he were to be told which path to take, he may not have been in the position of regret. While the speaker was unsure of his road in the beginning, he also ended up being unsure of if he could take the other path later on. Yet again, Frost shows that the speaker had to be self reliant in his decisions, showing that he is alone in the world. Everyone has a journey to take in life and everyone is on their own individual path. While others may be along for the ride, it is ultimately everyone fighting for themselves and going places alone. Frost s poem The Road Not Taken shows just this. He uses the simple task of a fork in the road with a division of paths to show how human desolation is real ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If something dies, it is forever. Therefore, nothing can come back to life. Giving death a constant role in life. I found the title of this story to be very direct to its readers. This story spoke on different symbols that author, Gabriel Garcia Márquez, touched on. The symbols he spoke about were politics, corruption, trading of women, human vanity, isolation, and moral decrepitude. These different concerning issues are definitely issues that we as people go through each day. From the deception and corruption from politics to people feeling lonely and feeling isolated from life. • 19. Gender Is A Social Aspect Essay Gender has always been around, but it has caused confusion for some about the true meaning, through this, two perspectives have come to light. Those who believe that gender is something that you are born with, your biological self that differentiates you from your opposite (male/female). Then there are those who believe that gender is a social constructed aspect of ones life. What your parents and society label you the minute you are born. Examples being a girl wears pink, a boy wears blue. These colours are a significant symbol of assigning one a gender, for if they do not wear those colours (in some instances) then people will not be able to distinguish them this generally shown in a newborn babies case. Through a socially constructed perspective, certain ways of living are formed for each persons gender, in olden day New Zealand, women, at a certain point in time were assumed to stay at home, with the children and be good wives. Whereas men were to be in the labour force, whether it be working class, or in the higher areas of parliament. This was all up until the mid 1800s were the first wave feminism came into act. There are many aspects within a persons educational life, that can affect them greatly, gender being one of them. Depending on the job, a persons gender can hold major implications to their progression in that area. In modern day, gender still holds a major impact on a persons life, especially if they are females. All over the world there is still clear ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Overall, upon examination of Domhoff s ideas and sources, he presents an accurate and fairly strong argument about the unequal distribution of wealth in the United States. 1 Edward N. Wolff. • 33. Analysis Of Aladdin By John Musker And Ron Clements Recently, over the Winter, I brought my girlfriend to watch the Broadway Musical Aladdin. It was a very spectacular Broadway musical. I have been to many Broadway plays like Matilda and Wicked, but Aladdin, in my opinion was my favorite one. The Broadway musical is based off the 1992 Disney film Aladdin, which was directed by John Musker and Ron Clements. Since the musical was produced in 2014, I got to see the original cast, which was pretty astounding. The music and acting was very well played by the actors during the play. Besides the singing in the musical, there was an orchestra playing their instruments underneath the stage, so all you can see is the conductor telling the orchestra what to do. The subject of the musical was to entertain the people watching and to tell the story of the Disney movie in a musical way. The purpose of the musical is to show how Princess Jasmine is being forced who to marry by her father and she wants to be the person who decides that. In the play, three characters were added which were not in the original movie, Aladdin s friends. Their names are Babkak, Omar, and Kassim. I found it to be creative that the play creators added them. They called themselves Four guys with one Arabian dream. Also in the movie, the villain, Jafar has an evil sidekick which is a parrot, but in the play, Jafar s sidekick is a human. Another change was in the movie Aladdin also a sidekick as well. Aladdin s sidekick is a monkey named Abu and in the play ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. The San Francisco Earthquake By Jerome Clark Rajdeep Singh Men lost their reason at these awful moments ( The San Francisco Earthquake, 1906 4). This was said by Jerome Clark, a survivor of San Francisco s deadliest earthquake in history. In this single sentence, he described the entire disaster through his own eyes ( The San Francisco Earthquake, 1906 4). The Great San Francisco Earthquake may be studied by examining the earthquake, the fire, and the aftermath of the disaster. The night before the earthquake was almost like any other night in the bristling city of San Francisco. The world famous opera singer, Enrico Caruso, was performing at the city s Grand Opera House. The music and singing filled the building with harmonious notes. Caruso s voice was like thunder, and it seemed to shake the Opera House. Little did the spectators know that the earthquake to come in a matter of hours would not only shake, but destroy San Francisco s Opera House (Montagne 1). On April 18, 1906 at 5:12 AM, the citizens of San Francisco were awakened by intense shaking. The earthquake lasted from forty to sixty seconds, with a small fore shock that arrived 20 seconds earlier. It is difficult for scientists to estimate the intensity of this earthquake because of the early and inaccurate equipment from the turn of the century. With today s modern equipment, seismologists have estimated the earthquake to be a 7.7 to 8.3 on the Richter scale. This single quake ruptured 290 miles along California s San Andreas fault line ... • 35. Critical Race Theory And Conflict Theory Paper Critical Race Theory and Conflict Theory Society contains groups with diverse interests, where competing interests encourage conflict (Hutchison, 2013). The racial ideology in the United States is the belief in a hierarchy of races with whites at the top and other races grouped underneath (Robbins, Chatterjee, Canda, 2011). One way minorities are depicted as different from whites is through imagery that creates detachment and seclusion between groups (Ortiz Jani, 2010). Critical Race Theory Critical race theory (CRT) assumes this society was created to empower White people; CRT is focused on transforming the relationships between race and racial power assembled by law and culture (Delgado Stefancic, 2012). This theory suggests that racism is embedded in American society (Helms, 2006), looking at how racial pride in being White can be exhibited in tolerable ways or as White superiority (Delgado Stefancic, 2012). As a post modern theory, CRT encourages structural approach by attending to the problems of a diverse society, instead of purely increasing access to obtainable opportunities and resources (Ortiz Jani, 2011). International Business In China Case Study INTRODUCTION Despite having extremely conservative foreign direct investment guidelines, the government of China has been successful in attracting foreign investment. Proper implementations of Human Resource policies for international strategic alliances have always remained as a real challenge in the country. In order to adjust in the Chinese market, international banks have customized their policies and lending criteria and the government has also restructured their banking policies and information technology services. Before setting up an international business, various factors should be considered like finding the perfect strategic fit which should also be in line with the Chinese culture and value culture. (Davila) There has been significant increase in the profitability of banks from 2004 to 2008, this was due to increase in net margins and decrease in non performing loans. However, the growth is not very sustainable as every financial system is interconnected with the economic system. If the economy slows down then the banking industry will be hugely affected. Capitals of banks have fallen down and there is a forecast of average earnings of 14% per annum which is less than previous the levels. (Davila) As there was a global restructuring and reorientation in the banking industry, China made its own norms and banks had to comply with them. This is due to the hierarchy system which does not give banks a lot of independence to make decisions. Strategic partnerships were limited to 20% and foreign ownership to 25% leading to increased foreign investments especially for the SOCBs. The foreign investors were eager to spread their businesses in mainland China and were looking to tap into the growing credit card and asset management in China, however, the Chinese government imposed restrictions on their entry. (chaudhuri, 2009) The major change in the banking system came after the entry of China in WTO, and foreign participation was allowed to increase competitiveness for facing world economy. Language In Their Eyes Were Watching God Their Eyes Were Watching God, a Unique American Narrative Their Eyes Were Watching God, a 1937 novel by influential Harlem Renaissance writer Zora Neale Hurston, examines the historical, cultural, and social foundations of African American life by following the life of an African American woman in the US South. In her examination of these foundations, Hurston builds validity and affirmation for black Southern culture by beautifully portraying the life of the Black Southern community in the Antebellum period, by adopting a distinctly African American dialect and colloquial Black folk speech, and by using a narrative inside the novel to construct and narrativize the African American identity. Implementing An Automated Distributed Firewall Abstract This paper discusses about implementing an automated distributed firewall in an emulated environment allowing researchers, educators and companies for research purposes and to experiment a realistic distributed firewall before implementing one in real life. This eliminates the manual configuration of each firewall which is time consuming and prone to errors and eliminate repeated experiments. Traditional firewalls are topology restricted and considerer everyone on the inside are trusted and one on the outside is a least potentially an enemy. In order to overcome the difficulties for traditional firewall the idea of distributed firewall was proposed. This demonstration will show a platform to automate emulated distributed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the recent years, the threat that faces data and information has been systematically increasing, from viruses to organized gangs that aim to stifle the operations of information systems, steal crucial information or facilitate leakage of competitive information. A firewall is a collection of components, interposed between two networks, that filters traffic between them according to some security policy (Cheswick Bellovin, 1994). Due to the increase in network attacks and awareness of cyber security firewalls are used not only in companies but also in home networks. Firewalls are the frontline of defence to secure the networks from security risks and attacks from cyber criminals. Firewalls filters network traffic based on filtering rules defined by the firewall administrator or admin. Although firewalls protects from network attacks, virus etc, it depends on the firewall policies defined, if the policies are not defined properly it proposes a security risk and limits the effectiveness of firewall security. . There are mainly three types of firewalling techniques based on the OSI layer in which the firewall is acting on. They are (1) packet filters, which inspect each packet passing through them, (2) application Gateways which act on specific applications such as FTP, Telnet etc and (3) circuit level Gateways, which apply security mechanisms whenever TCP and UDP connections are established. Some of them are as per the following: Packet channel Application gateway Circuit level gateway Proxy server 3.1 PACKET FILTER: It focuses at one packet at once and after that it applies some set of guidelines to every packet and afterwards it chooses to either forward the packet or dispose the packet. The standards depend on various fields in the IP and TCP/UDP headers i.e. Source and destination address, IP protocol field, TCP/UDP port number. Attackers can break the security with the assistance of following techniques: IP ADDRESS SPOOFING : In this kind of attack, attackers send a packet to inside network, by setting source IP address equals to IP address of inside client. SOURCE ROUTING ATTACKS: Here attackers determine the route that is trailed by the packet to move along the web with the goal that packet filter can be tricked to sidestep its normal checks. Solution: The solution of this attack is disposed of all packets that use this alternative. Advantages: It is Simple to execute. Low hardware cost, shabby boxes can do packet filtering. Rules set are less complex.

The fear was if neighbors learned about a sex offender s presence in their neighborhood and decided to force them out or cause physical harm, which is illegal. Violent acts against offenders are uncommon. Megan s Law comes with the disadvantage that it discourages many sex offenders from participating in the registry due to the fear factor of them being attacked or looked at differently in their neighborhood. Even though it is a felony offense to fail to register on Megan s Law, around 20% of offenders do not comply with the registration requirement.
