Land Use Development Patterns And The International...
INTRODUCTION
1.0 BACKGROUND TO STUDY
Land use development patterns (also called urban form, built environment, community design, spatial
development, and urban geography) is referred to as the human use of the earth s surface, including
the location, type and design of infrastructure such as roads and buildings. Land use patterns can have
diverse economic, social and environmental impacts and some are more accessible and so reduce
transportation costs to businesses and consumers.
Transportation on the other hand is the movement of people, information and goods from one location
to another. The specific purpose of transportation is to fulfill a demand for mobility, since
transportation can only exists if it moves people, freight and information around. Otherwise it has no
purpose. Since the 18th century till now, urbanization, multinational corporations, the globalization of
trade and the international division of labor are all forces shaping and taking advantage of
transportation at different, but often related, scales. Consequently, the fundamental purpose of
transport is geographic in nature, because it facilitates movements between different locations.
Transport thus plays a role in the structure and organization of space and territories, which may vary
according to the level of development.

Rodeo And Animal Abuse
Fans have argued that rodeo is abuse the the animals and others have argued that it s not abuse to
them. There are a lot of people who absolutely love the rodeo and come to watch and support it. Then
on the other hand, there are those people that hate it and are totally against it because they believe it is
abusive to the animals. Without the animals, rodeos would not be possible; therefore, the care of the
animals is of the utmost importance to all participants and staff. A writer for Beef Magazine.com says,
Rodeos put animal health and welfare in front of fans. How rodeo has used veterinary information to
prepare for and respond to a range of questions can be an example for the beef industry. (Ryan, 2013).
This proves that during the rodeos

Nucleic Acid Investigation
The purpose of the introductory activity was to analyze the pH of a mixture of a strong base and weak
acid. The purpose of the guided inquiry lab was to analyze the concentration of sodium carbonate by
titrating the substance using a nitic acid solution.
Introductory Activity
5 mL of both 0.2 M ammonia and 0.1 M acetic acid were placed in separate test tubes and their pH
was determined with pH paper. A mixture was created by pouring both together and its final pH was
recorded. The strength of the acid and base was determined and whether the two had equal
concentration. Each indicator was researched (its colors when it s acidic/basic and its pH transition
range) and phenolphthalein was deemed suitable for this experiment. 5 mL of acetic acid was poured
into a test tube and 1 2 drops of phenolphthalein were added. The initial color was recorded. 10 mL of
ammonia was obtained in a graduated cylinder and using the graduated pipet, the base was added to
the acid in 1 mL increments. Upon reaching the equivalence point, the indicator color and the amount
of base required to obtain this point were recorded. The relative concentrations of the acid and base
were then estimated.

The indicator methyl red was deemed appropriate. A 60 mL Poorman s buret was placed on a support
stand above a beaker with a magnetic stirrer. The sides of the beaker and flask were rinsed with water.
100 mL of nitric acid was collected and placed in the beaker below the buret. Approximately 3 drops
of methyl red indicator were added. After being rinsed with water and sodium carbonate, the buret was
filled with 60 mL of nitric acid. The beaker was placed 2 cm under the buret. Then the sodium
carbonate was titrated until the methyl red changed from red to yellow. The final buret reading was
recorded to determine the final volume of the base. The titration data was used to graph a titration

The first work is the center panel of the Merode Altarpiece by Robert Campin in 1425. It is titled The

Annunciation. It was made in 1440 in Florence, Italy. The Merode Altarpiece is considered early
fifteenth century Flemish art while Annunciation is considered Early Renaissance art. The subject of

This work would have been located in a private Flemish home for private worship but it now located
in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The Annunciation is significant to history because it
demonstrated the shift of public worship at a church to private worship in the home. This shift would
eventually lead to the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century.
Annunciation, the fresco, clearly demonstrates the focus on religion in the 15th century. The fresco is
part of numerous frescos that were commissioned by the abbot of the Dominican monastery of San
Marco. The purpose of the fresco was to give religious reminders and instill piety into the monks who
were dedicating their lives to prayer. There is even an inscription at the bottom of the work that
reminds the monks to say a Hail Mary when they pass the work. Fra Angelico was greatly influenced
by two Gothic artists Gentile da Fabriano and Masaccio. The influence of Fabriano is evident in the
drapery and detail of Gabriel s wings which give a decorative style to the fresco. The influence of
Masaccio can be seen in the use of realistic depth. The work also uses linear perspective which can be
seen in the line between garden and the architecture. However, the lighting and the proportions of the
figures within the architecture are irrational. It could be said that these artistic mistakes were

The Most Uneven Great Poet By Tenney Nathanson
Come, said my soul,
Such verses for my Body let us write, (for we are one,)
That should I after death invisibly return,
Or, long, long hence, in other spheres,
There to some group of mates the chants resuming,
(Tallying Earth s soil, trees, winds, tumultuous waves,)
Ever with pleas d smile I may keep on,
Ever and ever yet the verses owning as, first, I here and now,
Singing for Soul and Body, set to them my name,
Walt Whitman
Walt Whitman, termed America s most uneven great poet by Tenney Nathanson, is one of America s
greatest poets. Born in 1819 in Long Island, Whitman lived during an era when sexuality, especially
homosexuality, a term not coined until years later, was a taboo subject not to be discussed in public.
Many of his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With the release of Leaves of Grass, a new form of poetry is born. This form defies convention in
presentation and subject matter. The compilation of poems did not get the immediate attention and
recognition Whitman had hoped for due this defiance. Although it was championed by several famous
poets, especially Ralph Waldo Emerson, it would take many years for the works to become successful.
The explicit sexual theme in Whitman s works is the chief source of the delayed recognition Leaves of
Grass eventually receives. Leaves of Grass was probably more notorious for its sexual explicitness
than admired for its poetic qualities (Nathanson 400). Whitman initially incorporated the sexual theme
into two articles for the Brooklyn paper. Whitman was forced to resign because of the indignation of
some of his readers (Asselineau 107). This fueled his desire to teach the general population that sex is
universal and should be embraced without fear and anxiety. The body, he teaches, is beautiful. Sex is
also beautiful (Whitman 208).
Whitman does a better job of incorporating the recurring theme of sexuality into his poems. Not only
does he bestow sexual attributes on people, he does the same for objects as evidence in the poem,
Crossing Brooklyn Ferry . He combines with the river, the street and other objects. The glories strung
like beads on my smallest sights and hearings, on the walk in the street and the passage

Charles Darwin s Theory Of Evolution
Evolution is the process new species or populations of living things develop from preexisting forms
through successive generations. Some people believe in evolution and some do not. Scientists have
found many ways to determine the way that a species can evolve over time. Charles Darwin is just one
of these scientists. He came up with a theory that explains how species evolve and change. He
believed that species change by a process called natural selection. Charles Darwin s theory of
evolution by natural selection can explain the way that a species can evolve and change over time.
Darwin was born on February 12, 1809 in the town of Shrewsbury, England. He had five older
siblings and came from a long line of scientists. His father was a ... Show more content on

This is how he came up with his theory of natural selection. Darwin s theory of evolution by natural
selection basically means that the strong survive. Only the strongest in a species will be able to adapt
to environmental changes, therefore they will be the ones that will evolve. The others will die because
they cannot adapt. Natural selection can cause species to change in many ways. It can cause them to
change in size and even color. It can affect eating and mating habits as well. It can change where they
choose to live and when they choose to migrate. Darwin settled an argument when he made his theory
of evolution by natural selection. He settled the argument that scientists had been having for many
years. He figured out a way to understand how evolution works when he created his theory.
In November of 1859, Darwin published a book that is considered to be one of his best works titled
On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection. This book explains his theory of natural
selection. Many believe that this book is one of the most important ever written, and it has received a
lot of recognition in the biology department. It thoroughly explains Darwin s theory and has led to
many advancements in natural science. Scientists use it to better understand the way that evolution
works.
Darwin s theory of evolution by natural selection has four main parts. The first part of the theory is
that more individuals are produced each year than can

New Football Stadium Of Las Vegas
New football stadium coming to Las Vegas
Excitement has engulfed Nevada following the news that a new stadium could soon grace the world
famous Las Vegas Strip. On August 26, The Las Vegas Review Journal reported that a 62 acre piece of
land belonging to a consortium of banks from New York and Dallas was favored as the venue to host
the $1.9 billion, 62,000 sitter Raiders football arena. The banking consortium operating under the
Nevada Land Group LLC includes Credit Suisse Management, Barclays Bank, NexBank, and
Highland Capital Management. The much sought swathes of land lie west of Mandalay bay and
Interstate 15. The cost of land, and undisclosed site infrastructure is expected to cost between $350
million to $400 million. The deal, whose details are yet to be fully revealed, is a partnership between
Raiders Football Team, Las Vegas Sands Corporation and the state of Nevada.
If the plans are realized, a company called Majestic Realty will be tasked with building the ultra
modern stadium. Owing to the stadium revelations, the Raiders is planning to write to the Football
governing body, the National Football League to request for permission to relocate the franchise to
Las Vegas from its current base at Oakland Alameda Coliseum in Oakland California. The multi
purpose stadium was constructed in the mid 60 s is shared by both professional baseball and football
clubs. The seating capacity for football and baseball stadiums is 56,000 and 35,000 respectively. It is

Explain The Function Of The Lymphatic System
Question 1
1. Describe the function of the lymphatic system and explain how its structure enables it to carry out
its duties. Include what is lymph and how does it get into the lymphatic system, what happens to it
along the way (and what structures are involved) and what happens to it when the lymph system is
through with it...
The lymphatic system is composed of one way, low pressure vessels, with blind ended capillaries that
are remarkably permeable. The lymphatic endothelial capillary walls are anchored by collagen
filaments, and have overlapping, flap like mini valves that open when interstitial pressure is higher
than inside the lymphatic capillary. The valves allow entry to not only fluid, but to larger particles as
well; this includes proteins, pathogens, and cancer cells. The mini valves are forced shut when
pressure inside the capillaries is greater than the interstitial pressure. The vessels are equipped with
multiple valves (in the lumen) to prevent the backflow of lymph once it is milked towards the
subclavian duct, mainly by the squeezing action of the skeletal muscles, and the pressure from
respiratory inspiration.
The lymphatic system s role is to absorb fluid that is leaked from the blood capillaries and return it
back into the systemic circulation via the left and right subclavian ducts, ensuring adequate blood
volume. Additionally, it transports chyle, a fatty lymph absorbed in the small intestine through
lacteals, also returning it to systemic

Oppression of Women in 19th Century Literature
In the stories The Jewelry by Guy de Maupassant, The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin, and The
Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, the female characters are unequal and less important
than the men in society. The duties of women during this time period did not consist of much more
than seeing to her husband s needs and caring for the home and children. The authors show the lack of
independence women were allowed in the 1800s, especially in marriage. The stories express women s
cry for equality and their feelings of entrapment in their marriage. Each story elaborates on the

In the midst of her grieving, Mrs. Mallard pictures the time that is to come, when she will be able to
make all of her own decisions and will be given the freedom to live her life as she pleases. Suddenly,
she feels relieved more than she is upset. She knew that she would weep again when she saw the kind,
tender hands folded in death...but she saw beyond that bitter moment a long procession of years to
come that would belong to her absolutely (Booth 307). Her desire for freedom overcame the despair of
her husband s death. Chopin includes that Mrs. Mallard tried to fight off these ideas with her will
(Booth 307). Her embraced feelings of independence could have been viewed as forbidden. Although
she is excited by these thoughts, she tries to resist the pleasure she truly feels when she realizes the
freedom that she has gained. The words free, free, free! escaped from her mouth (Booth307). She
attempted to hold back the overwhelming desires for her own life. Perhaps she is hesitant to welcome
these feelings because of the public view on women s rights, and the potential consequences for those
who opposed such views. Despite the faithfulness and love Mrs. Mallard showed for her husband, the
extreme relief she felt in no longer having a marital obligation overpowered her feelings of sadness
and loss. At the end of the story, Mrs. Mallard s husband walked through her front door in the flesh,

This case shows that the insurance company s duty to deal in good faith does not extend to the
plaintiffs who were not insured under the contract. Because there was no relationship with the insurer,
the plaintiffs could not bring a direct action for bad faith against the insurance company to recover an
amount in excess of the policy limits.
The facts that the Ohio Court of Appeals presented that is relevant to our case is the common law rule
that the insurance company is contractually obligated only to the insured until there is a verdict, and
therefore the insurance company is free to make settlement determinations in their own economic
interest and without any duty to the claimants.
The other case that was researched, Schneider v. Eady, 2008 Ohio 6747 (Ohio Ct. App. 2008), also
reiterates that the third party does not have a legal contract with the insurance company. In this case,
the insured negligently drove her car into the third party. The insurance company refused to negotiate,
so the third party sued for breach of a claimed duty of good faith. The appellate court claimed that the
third party was only an incidental beneficiary in regards to the insurance policy.
An insurance company has a duty to act in good faith in settling claims and a breach of that duty will
give rise to a cause of action by the insured. That duty, however, runs only from the insurer to the
insured, not to third parties. Id. at page 5.

When hip hop first emerged in the streets of New York in the 1970s, nobody predicted that this new
type of sound would become as admired and widespread as it has become. This new genre of music
has encouraged and motivated numerous artists from not just the United States, but elsewhere to
integrate their own originality and create a new sound that several audiences can enjoy throughout. I
started to pay attention to Puerto Rican rap group Calle 13 when I first heard their song Atreve Te Te .
This track had a different sound and lyrical content from other songs that were playing on the radio
during this time. It incorporated a Colombian Cumbia sound as well as Spanglish in their lyrics, which
other singles in the radio were not integrating.

A Fischer esterification reaction was used in the first part of this lab to convert an unknown alcohol

last bubble exits the bell, the atmospheric pressure is equal to the vapor pressure of the sample, giving
the boiling point, which can help identify a sample. IR spectroscopy measures the IR absorbance of a
compound, and because each functional group has unlike IR absorbance, they can be used to identify a
compound. Gas chromatography evaporates a sample and separates it using a carrier gas, which
reaches the detector giving out a retention time. Different compounds have different retention times,
so when the GC of an unknown is compared to a known standard, the sample can be identified. In
viscosity determination, the time it takes for a compound to flow from one mark to another in a
pasteur pipette, is compared to the time it takes for another compound, which divided give the relative

How Selection On Behavior Shapes Brain Investment
Understanding how selection on behavior shapes brain investment is a major question in the analysis
of the evolution of animal sociality [Szathmary and Maynard Smith, 1995; Edelman and Changeux,
2001; Ricklefs, 2004; Gronenberg and Riveros, 2009]. Neural tissue is energetically expensive and
therefore brain regions should only enlarge when needed to meet functional demands [Niven and
Laughlin, 2008]. The social brain hypothesis posits that social interactions are so cognitively
demanding that social environment selects for enhanced neural development [Humphrey, 1976;
Dunbar and Shultz, 2007]. Studies supporting the social brain hypothesis usually rely on comparative
analyses across taxa with varying levels of social complexity and use ... Show more content on

To date only two brain investment studies on solitary and facultatively social bees are reported. A
study on solitary bees, Osmia lignaria found that adults emerge with neuronal development typical of
experienced workers in advanced eusocial insect species, but also found that mushroom body neuropil
volume further increased with foraging experience [Withers et al., 2007]. These results confirm that
mushroom bodies are important for cognitive processes in solitary antecedents, but cannot inform us
on the role of social experience on neuropil investment. Smith et al. [2010] examined brain size and
development using the facultatively social bee Megalopta genalis, a species with both solitary and
primitively social colonies in the same populations. Mushroom body size increased with foraging
behavior in solitary individuals and workers compared to newly emerged M. genalis females, but even
greater mushroom body development was found in queens. Smith et al. [2010] attributed enhanced
growth of the mushroom body cortex to maintaining behavioral dominance. Much like obligately
eusocial bees, however, Megalopta are bees with distinct reproductive (queens) and foraging
(workers) roles and therefore the relative roles of foraging and social experience are not

Firefighting Research Paper
While all emergency service responders put their lives on the line every day, the organization that
faces the most risks are firefighters. As the Association for Psychological Sciences notes, firefighters
deal with Perilous flames, collapsing buildings, the anguish of burn victims in addition to
[e]xplosions, automobile accidents, suicide attempts. Even terrorist attacks, dismemberment and
death. (citation from psych.org) Their courage, resiliency, and strength led me to choose to research
the world of firefighting for this assignment. For my paper, I decided to interview my uncle, Brendan

Ellen Kirschman, author of I Love a FireFighter, suggests proven ways to treat cases of traumatic
stress that is experienced while on the job. Her suggestions include cognitive behavioral therapy,
exercise, medications, and eye movement and desensitization reprocessing, commonly known as
EMDR. In addition to these professional coping options, other coping mechanisms include expressing
yourself and sharing your fears and experience, creating a mission for your life to create meaning, and
distracting yourself which can provide a little temporary relief with something new and engaging to
occupy your thoughts. (p.189) I believe based on this information, it may be more helpful for a
firefighter and other emergency responders to cope via the latter mentioned mechanisms because they
focus more on the individual s fears, experiences, and emotions. Creating meaning in your life and
finding enjoyable hobbies to distract from work can help to unload much of the stress from the job.
Furthermore, researchers tend to agree that expressing your emotion is beneficial for dealing with
stress. According to the authors of the paper Trauma exposed Firefighters , Firefighters and other first
responders often engage in approach oriented coping strategies such as problem focused coping rather
than emotion focused or avoidance coping (p.357) Emotion and avoidance coping mechanisms often
involve seeking emotional support and positive reframing (p.358) By reframing ones view of the
world through positive associations, firefighters and other emergency responders are better equipped
to deal the trauma and stress from being on the job because it is a holistic effort to change their point
of view rather than just trying to deal with one specific

Marina Ferraz
I am Marina Ferraz, a 16 year old girl who has many goals. One of these goals is to be a better person,
and to do so I plan to help other in need in any way I can. I live in a big city in Brazil called Sao
Paulo, where I have lived my entire life. Sao Paulo, like any other big city, is a place where there are a
lot of people who need help. I really like helping others, and it became a big part of who I am. Doing
good things for others, not only myself, has become a big part of my identity. It has given me a will to
share, made me more grateful and also made me put others in mind, not only put my own feelings and
wishes as my main perspective. This all has molded me into becoming who I am.
I know that I can help people in need, so I m interested in doing some volunteer work or anything that
can help the less fortunate. This is part of my identity, which is meaningful and part of who I am. It all
began in 10th grade when my teacher created a project based on the movie Pay it Forward , and in this
project we had to do as many good deeds as possible in one semester. I went around Sao Paulo and did
volunteer work, besides small good deeds in my own neighborhood. One of my good deeds was going
around the city with a few kits containing a sandwich, some fruit, and a juice. We handed these kits

The Genetic Factors of Learning Disabilities Essay
The National Institute of Neurologic Disorders defines learning disorders as a; condition that either
prevents or significantly hinders somebody from learning basic skills or information at the same rate
as most people of the same age. It is important to note that this does not mean that the individual has
less intelligence; it means that their brain or body is wired in a way that hinders or prevents
development of a certain tasks. Many people often confuse learning disabilities with mental
retardation but while both words describe similar conditions, the term learning disability and learning

The roots of learning disabilities have been debated for ages. There is a general consensus that both
genetics and environment play hand in hand in learning and general temperament formation but the
extant of each is debatable. This led me to my central question of what extent has current genetic

in what genetically linked disorders are most prevalent in school aged children and plan to detail the
signs and symptoms of the three most prevalent disorders and the current believe about their causes at

Perception Of The Human Condition In The Stranger By...
In his novel, The Stranger by Albert Camus, translated by Matthew Ward, irony within the protagonist
s ( Meursault ) contrasting perception of the human condition is used to illustrate and invoke the
reader to question the contradictory nature of societal expectations. His indifferent and unprecedented
reactions to experiences relative to the characters that Camus laid before him aid in displaying the
absurdity of a world constrained by the chains of conventional wisdom. The contrasting nature of
Meursault s demeanor in defying conventional wisdom in experiences such as love and death not only
reveals the underlying hypocrisy of the human condition but further illustrates the arbitrary essence of
defining a human life.
Irony in part one establishes Meursault s confliction with society as he is seemingly unaffected and
ultimately indifferent over an occurrence that universal sentiments would perceive as utterly
devastating. When Meursault is faced with the death of his mother in the genesis of the novel, he
remarks, Maman died today. Or yesterday maybe, I don t know (Camus 1). The immense indifference
of Meursault s morality when it comes to the death of a human being, let alone his own mother, allows
readers to draw a contrasting line from the very first sentence of Meursault s moral behavior relative
to what society would deem as acceptable . Camus uses this expectation defying event to invoke the
reader s stance on the human condition s tendency to mourn

Standardized Tests Don t Measure Intelligence Essay
Standardized Tests Don t Measure Intelligence Students intelligence is often measured by standardized
tests, but these students are at their worst while taking the test and it does not accurately measure their
intelligence. Students are stressed, nervous, or simply do not take tests well. Standardized tests also
don t show how hard working a student is, which is important and can be proven by a GPA. Many
schools measure the teacher and school on how well they are teaching based on how high of a score
the students place on a standardized test. The problem with this is that the people who make these
standardized tests have no idea what the students have learned in the classroom so that being said, the
students often are not tested on what their teacher has taught them during the school year. W. James
Popham explains the mismatch of standardized tests and what students are taught: To illustrate the
seriousness of the mismatch that can occur between what s taught locally and what s tested through
standardized achievement tests, educators ought to know about an important study at Michigan State
University reported in 1983 by Freeman and his colleagues. These researchers selected five nationally
standardized achievement tests in mathematics and studied their content for grades 4 6. Then,
operating on the very reasonable assumption that what goes on instructionally in classrooms is often
influenced by what s contained in the textbooks that children use,

The Hindu Religion Essay
Sacraments
Samskaras are an important element in the belief and practice of the Hindu religion. The word
samskar is evolved from the root samskri which means to purify or form thoroughly. Samskriti –
meaning civilization and Sanskrit are derived from the root samskri . Samskrit was considered the
most refined and grammatically perfect language compared to other regional languages in ancient
times. The best rendering of samskara in English is made by the word sacrament, meaning religious

The general idea of the samskaras is that their practice surrenders the human soul to the service of
god.
Atri writes, By birth every one is a shudra, by samskars he becomes a Dvija (twice born). By learning,
he becomes a Vipra and by realizing Brahman, he attains the status of a Brahmana.
Symbolism has a significant role in the performance of samskaras, as it does in the entirety of the
Hindu religion. Both materialistic and action based symbols are abundantly obvious in each samskara,
and too numerous to mention. Examples include the use of Audumbar branches, or fig branches,
which stand for prosperity. The vatu (student) at upanayana and the bride at a wedding instructed to
stand on a rock signifying stability and firmness. Touching of the heart in upanayana between teacher
and student and in marriage between bride and groom, indicates residence of God and virtues of love
and harmony. Mass of rice indicates abundance and prosperity. Eating together means fusion of hearts,
grasping the hand (panigrahana) indicates assumption of responsibilities.
The standard sixteen samskars laid down by Hindu religious texts are:

The Middle East State System
Course overview
This course aims to educate students regarding the modern (post 1970) trajectory of US foreign policy
in regards the Middle East, and how such policy has influenced the Middle East state system. Both in
recent history and presently, the US role in the region has been pivotal in shaping the regional system
as well as ensuring the stability of the regional status quo. The various interests that drive US foreign
policy in the region will be examined.
The US, of course, does not implement its foreign policy in a void, and therefore gaining a
background on the regional state and non state actors that the US must grapple with is vital. The
regional dynamics which affected the US position in the region, such as the Arab Spring, also must be
accounted for in any thorough description of the formulation of US policy.
To account for these factors, the course utilizes both a chronological approach to the historical
development of US foreign policy toward the region, as well as including substantial background on
the important regional actors with which the US interacts with. Finally, it includes a select few
readings related to theoretical concepts in International Relations to provide a context for analysis of
policy. All these elements should grant students a well rounded comprehension of the various factors
which influence the Middle East state system and related US foreign policy.
Through this course, students should gain a fuller understanding of the role that the

Management Ideas By Golden Circle
Management Ideas
The book not only describes how the leaders inspires us or how they play a vital role in the
organization, but it also emphasis on the various practical ideas that can be implemented in an
organization to achieve success. Some of the managerial traits that I was able to find in this book are
as follows:
Golden Circle Concept: This concept consists of three factors that help to motivate people. Great
leaders always try to motivate people, inspire them and make them do the right things. Golden Circle
Concept is inspired by Golden ratio which is a mathematical ratio that had caught eye of various
influential people such as artists, mathematician and so on (Sinek, 2009, p. 41). This concept focuses
on three factors that are used by the leaders such as What, How and Why. For Instance, every
company that exists knows what they are doing, some know how they are doing and very few can
explain why they are doing the things. Leaders who do things better of others tries to start with why
and communicate precisely the every detail (Leadership Excellence Essentials, 2009).
Don t neglect Why: Why is one of the important factor that helps leaders a lot to achieve success. As, I
was reading this book I came to realize that actually everything starts with Why. Those who focuses
on all the problems with Why is able to know the roots of the problem and solve it, but ignoring the
problems starting with Why or anything associated with Why can be a big mistake made by a

The Causes of Sleep Deprivation
In Western cultures, the biggest cause of sleep deprivation is stress mostly as a result of being sick,
overworking and shift working, drugs, or examinations (Pinel, 2014). Sleep loss can lead to
impairment in decision making. Two studies have been conducted that look at twenty four hours of
sleep deprivation and focus on the effect it has on making complex decisions. Essentially, what is the
effect of total sleep deprivation in decision making? In 2009, David Schyner and his colleagues had
the opportunity to subject fifteen participants to a total of twenty four hours of sleep deprivation. They
set up their experiment by asking participants to make a decision between two choices and then again
between three choices after a day of sleep loss. Researchers found that participants had a decreased
ability to make integrative decisions between two choices, and the three choice tasks were
significantly harder to make more so than the two choice task. MRIs of the participants showed an
overall decrease in five regions of the brain in of task specific activity versus a full night s rest.
Affected brain areas were the superior parietal lobe, which functions in spatial orientation; the
superior frontal gyrus and the middle frontal gyrus, which function in self awareness in coordination
with senses and processing higher information, respectively; the orbital frontal, the cognitive aspect of
processing decision making; and the inferior and medial polar frontal, which operates in

Human Nature In Shakespeare s Hamlet
To, be or not to be, is one of William Shakespeare s most notable inquiries regarding the self in the
tragedy Hamlet (3.1.56). Hamlet is one of Shakespeare s most complicated characters, in that the
audience is able to view Hamlet s internal struggle. By orchestrating chaos, Shakespeare creates an
environment in which the male characters; Hamlet and Claudius, are free to contemplate and express
their respective nature. However, when it comes to Gertrude; Hamlet s mother and initial instigator of
Hamlet s conflict, there is no interior examination. There is only recognition of her sexuality, and the
chaos that ensues from her decision to lay with Claudius. So why does someone so interested in

84). Already the concept of human nature alludes to a hierarchy. Those of a wealthier status are more
capable of attainting culture, and therefore able to cultivate their nature. This may be one of the
reasons why women, who were seen as imperfect men, did not have the freedom to explore their
interiority (Marquis 1257). Women were not made in the image of God, but rather: she is the image of
man in a restrictive and analogical sense, because woman was made from man, after man, inferior to
him and his likeness (Farber). Women were by design lower in the hierarchy. Not only did the
Renaissance now contemplate the self, but they also found celebration of the self. Cultural historian,
Jacob Burckhardt, argues that: In the Middle Ages, man was conscious of himself only as a member of
a race, people, party, family or corporation only through some general category (Burke 193). During
the Renaissance, however: ...this veil first melted into air...man became a spiritual individual, and
recognized himself as such (193). Man could now be a spiritual individual outside of the theological
realm because of this humanist movement of the Renaissance. This idea was simplified by the
Renaissance Italian philosopher, Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, in his work Oration on the Dignity of
Man. He believed that

Descartes Arguments for Substance Dualism
Does Descartes provide a convincing argument for the claim that mind and matter are distinct
substances Descartes Argument For Dualism In his Meditations Rene Descartes aimed to reconstruct
the whole of science by trying to prove the distinction between mind and matter. He gives an

Descartes builds his thesis on, and then looking at his arguments and whether they are capable of

Thus Descartes premises are false and fail to convince us of substance dualism. Moreover, Descartes
relies on having a thorough knowledge of mind and body. We may conclude with Descartes that
thought is necessary to having a mind, and materiality is necessary to having a body, it does not
inevitably follow that there is an entity whose sole nature is to think. Descartes is limited by his
subjective viewpoint that it could not be the case that extension could be another property of mind. He
needs to prove the stronger argument that it is not possible for the mind to have extension as one of it s
properties. Descartes tries to make this proof in his Divisibility Argument: Similar to this is the
Argument from Distinctness which argues for the logical possibility of separating mind from body. To
do this, mind and body would have to be distinct and thus it would prove both things. I can imagine
myself as a thinking thing existing apart from the body (as shown by the different essences in the
argument from essence.). It is conceivable that a thinking thing can exist without a body It is possible
that a thinking thing can exist without a body A thinking thing is not a body The first premise has

conclusion that

The Gospel, A Son Of God And A Riddle Essay
I do not agree with Jonathan Z. Smith s definition, particularly I do not like the word a riddle. The
words Gospel, a son of God and a riddle in his definition outstand to me, and I think these words are
the key of his definition. Thus, it is important to understand what these words meaning is.
What is Gospel? The people usually think the Fourth Gospel that Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and
it is all about Jesus. In the ancient Hellenistic time, the Gospels were regarded as biographies of Jesus
(Boring, 508). If Jonathan Z. Smith represents a son of God as Jesus in his definition, I do not think
the Gospel is only the story of Jesus, a son of God. While Jesus appears in every scene of Gospel,
Jesus himself is not the main object of the Gospel. But I acknowledge that Jesus is the important
character in the Gospel because God reveals himself through Jesus, and Jesus reveals himself as the
Christ (Boring, 509). Boring said that the structure of the Gospel is not talking about Jesus s life, but it
is who Jesus is in the plan of God (Boring, 510). Dr. Smith s definition seems like only focusing on
Jesus as a son of God. However, I would like to emphasize God and God s work through Jesus the
Christ in the Gospel rather than Jesus as a son of God. If only focusing on Jesus, we can easily miss
God s works in the believer s life and the community in the Gospel. And also, it is easy to think Jesus
as only human being. I believe that Jesus, a son of God, cannot be explained

Premillennialist Belief In Rapture
The fact that there exist various narratives concerning the topic of apocalypse invites the notion that
there is a great number of people desiring the end of the world. Why would somebody be desirous of
terminating the world s existence? Despite the fact that the end of the world has a dark, uncanny,
irredeemably, and desperate tone to it, one has to consider its consequences. Therefore, the evangelical
protestantism belief in the rapture offers a solution to the otherwise unsatisfactory or even nonexistent
future. Dispensational premillennialists think of themselves as being designated to spread the idea of
rapture; which conveys that Christ will come to earth in order to take the true believers to heaven.

The rapture in this case is a synonym for escape; an escape from a world true believers are
undeservingly trapped in. The question that emerges while analyzing rapture is whether true believers
are utterly freed from desires in heaven. Humans are determined to desire something and therefore it
appears unlikely that after being taken to heaven, these desires completely vanish. Another reason for
apocalyptic desire in terms of the rapture is hope for a better life. People that feel incomplete, that
cannot bear competition, that are harrassed or even people that are alone may desire to be taken away
from a miserable place. God s existence and his presence in heaven would save them. Faith and hope
motivate discontented people to cope with everyday life. Furthermore Crawford Gribben explains that:
[...] dispensational premillennialism appealed to those evangelicals dissatisfied with the theological
prevarications of mainstream Protestantism, as well as those, [...], whose disappointment with the
possibilities of mission work was both a cause and a consequence of their increasingly pessimistic
millennial point of view. (Gribben 5) The irony of his statement nevertheless is that in terms of a
pessimistic millennial point of

INTRODUCTION 1.0 BACKGROUND TO STUDY Land use development patterns (also called urban form, built environment, community design, spatial development, and urban geography) is referred to as the human use of the earth s surface, including the location, type and design of infrastructure such as roads and buildings. Land use patterns can have diverse economic, social and environmental impacts and some are more accessible and so reduce transportation costs to businesses and consumers. Transportation on the other hand is the movement of people, information and goods from one location to another. The specific purpose of transportation is to fulfill a demand for mobility, since transportation can only exists if it moves people, freight and information around. Otherwise it has no purpose. Since the 18th century till now, urbanization, multinational corporations, the globalization of trade and the international division of labor are all forces shaping and taking advantage of transportation at different, but often related, scales. Consequently, the fundamental purpose of transport is geographic in nature, because it facilitates movements between different locations. Transport thus plays a role in the structure and organization of space and territories, which may vary according to the level of development. The purpose of the guided inquiry lab was to analyze the concentration of sodium carbonate by titrating the substance using a nitic acid solution. Introductory Activity 5 mL of both 0.2 M ammonia and 0.1 M acetic acid were placed in separate test tubes and their pH was determined with pH paper. A mixture was created by pouring both together and its final pH was recorded. The strength of the acid and base was determined and whether the two had equal concentration. Each indicator was researched (its colors when it s acidic/basic and its pH transition range) and phenolphthalein was deemed suitable for this experiment. 5 mL of acetic acid was poured into a test tube and 1 2 drops of phenolphthalein were added. The initial color was recorded. 10 mL of ammonia was obtained in a graduated cylinder and using the graduated pipet, the base was added to the acid in 1 mL increments. Upon reaching the equivalence point, the indicator color and the amount of base required to obtain this point were recorded. The relative concentrations of the acid and base were then estimated. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This work would have been located in a private Flemish home for private worship but it now located in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The Annunciation is significant to history because it demonstrated the shift of public worship at a church to private worship in the home. This shift would eventually lead to the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century. Annunciation, the fresco, clearly demonstrates the focus on religion in the 15th century. The fresco is part of numerous frescos that were commissioned by the abbot of the Dominican monastery of San Marco. The purpose of the fresco was to give religious reminders and instill piety into the monks who were dedicating their lives to prayer. There is even an inscription at the bottom of the work that reminds the monks to say a Hail Mary when they pass the work. Fra Angelico was greatly influenced by two Gothic artists Gentile da Fabriano and Masaccio. The influence of Fabriano is evident in the drapery and detail of Gabriel s wings which give a decorative style to the fresco. The influence of Masaccio can be seen in the use of realistic depth. The work also uses linear perspective which can be seen in the line between garden and the architecture. The compilation of poems did not get the immediate attention and recognition Whitman had hoped for due this defiance. Although it was championed by several famous poets, especially Ralph Waldo Emerson, it would take many years for the works to become successful. The explicit sexual theme in Whitman s works is the chief source of the delayed recognition Leaves of Grass eventually receives. Leaves of Grass was probably more notorious for its sexual explicitness than admired for its poetic qualities (Nathanson 400). Whitman initially incorporated the sexual theme into two articles for the Brooklyn paper. Whitman was forced to resign because of the indignation of some of his readers (Asselineau 107). This fueled his desire to teach the general population that sex is universal and should be embraced without fear and anxiety. The body, he teaches, is beautiful. Sex is also beautiful (Whitman 208). Whitman does a better job of incorporating the recurring theme of sexuality into his poems. Not only does he bestow sexual attributes on people, he does the same for objects as evidence in the poem, Crossing Brooklyn Ferry . He combines with the river, the street and other objects. • 8. Charles Darwin s Theory Of Evolution Evolution is the process new species or populations of living things develop from preexisting forms through successive generations. Some people believe in evolution and some do not. Scientists have found many ways to determine the way that a species can evolve over time. Charles Darwin is just one of these scientists. He came up with a theory that explains how species evolve and change. He believed that species change by a process called natural selection. Charles Darwin s theory of evolution by natural selection can explain the way that a species can evolve and change over time. Darwin was born on February 12, 1809 in the town of Shrewsbury, England. Darwin s theory of evolution by natural selection basically means that the strong survive. Only the strongest in a species will be able to adapt to environmental changes, therefore they will be the ones that will evolve. The others will die because they cannot adapt. Natural selection can cause species to change in many ways. It can cause them to change in size and even color. It can affect eating and mating habits as well. It can change where they choose to live and when they choose to migrate. Darwin settled an argument when he made his theory of evolution by natural selection. He settled the argument that scientists had been having for many years. He figured out a way to understand how evolution works when he created his theory. In November of 1859, Darwin published a book that is considered to be one of his best works titled On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection. This book explains his theory of natural selection. Many believe that this book is one of the most important ever written, and it has received a lot of recognition in the biology department. Include what is lymph and how does it get into the lymphatic system, what happens to it along the way (and what structures are involved) and what happens to it when the lymph system is through with it... The lymphatic system is composed of one way, low pressure vessels, with blind ended capillaries that are remarkably permeable. The lymphatic endothelial capillary walls are anchored by collagen filaments, and have overlapping, flap like mini valves that open when interstitial pressure is higher than inside the lymphatic capillary. The valves allow entry to not only fluid, but to larger particles as well; this includes proteins, pathogens, and cancer cells. The mini valves are forced shut when pressure inside the capillaries is greater than the interstitial pressure. The vessels are equipped with multiple valves (in the lumen) to prevent the backflow of lymph once it is milked towards the subclavian duct, mainly by the squeezing action of the skeletal muscles, and the pressure from respiratory inspiration. The lymphatic system s role is to absorb fluid that is leaked from the blood capillaries and return it back into the systemic circulation via the left and right subclavian ducts, ensuring adequate blood volume. Additionally, it transports chyle, a fatty lymph absorbed in the small intestine through lacteals, also returning it to systemic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The facts that the Ohio Court of Appeals presented that is relevant to our case is the common law rule that the insurance company is contractually obligated only to the insured until there is a verdict, and therefore the insurance company is free to make settlement determinations in their own economic interest and without any duty to the claimants. How Selection On Behavior Shapes Brain Investment Understanding how selection on behavior shapes brain investment is a major question in the analysis of the evolution of animal sociality [Szathmary and Maynard Smith, 1995; Edelman and Changeux, 2001; Ricklefs, 2004; Gronenberg and Riveros, 2009]. Neural tissue is energetically expensive and therefore brain regions should only enlarge when needed to meet functional demands [Niven and Laughlin, 2008]. The social brain hypothesis posits that social interactions are so cognitively demanding that social environment selects for enhanced neural development [Humphrey, 1976; Dunbar and Shultz, 2007]. These results confirm that mushroom bodies are important for cognitive processes in solitary antecedents, but cannot inform us on the role of social experience on neuropil investment. Smith et al. This led me to my central question of what extent has current genetic research proved regarding the role of genes in the development of learning disorders. I am interested in what genetically linked disorders are most prevalent in school aged children and plan to detail the signs and symptoms of the three most prevalent disorders and the current believe about their causes at molecular level. The first learning disorder that I would like to discuss is Fragile X syndrome. Fragile X, often called Martin Bell syndrome for it s the man who discovered it is a trinucleotide repeat disorder that is found on the sex chromosome X. Fragile X was discovered by Bell in 1943 after he examined a family in which all the boys showed signs of mental retardation. He discovered that the boys X chromosome he found that the long arm had become thin and fragile looking. Fragile X affects the genders separately due to its location on a sex linked chromosome. The disorder affects 1 in every 3600 males but only 1 in 4000 6000 females. (World Health Organization) As true with other sex linked ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 27. Perception Of The Human Condition In The Stranger By... In his novel, The Stranger by Albert Camus, translated by Matthew Ward, irony within the protagonist s ( Meursault ) contrasting perception of the human condition is used to illustrate and invoke the reader to question the contradictory nature of societal expectations. His indifferent and unprecedented reactions to experiences relative to the characters that Camus laid before him aid in displaying the absurdity of a world constrained by the chains of conventional wisdom. The contrasting nature of Meursault s demeanor in defying conventional wisdom in experiences such as love and death not only reveals the underlying hypocrisy of the human condition but further illustrates the arbitrary essence of defining a human life. Irony in part one establishes Meursault s confliction with society as he is seemingly unaffected and ultimately indifferent over an occurrence that universal sentiments would perceive as utterly devastating. When Meursault is faced with the death of his mother in the genesis of the novel, he remarks, Maman died today. Or yesterday maybe, I don t know (Camus 1). The immense indifference of Meursault s morality when it comes to the death of a human being, let alone his own mother, allows readers to draw a contrasting line from the very first sentence of Meursault s moral behavior relative to what society would deem as acceptable . Camus uses this expectation defying event to invoke the reader s stance on the human condition s tendency to mourn ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 31. Standardized Tests Don t Measure Intelligence Essay Standardized Tests Don t Measure Intelligence Students intelligence is often measured by standardized tests, but these students are at their worst while taking the test and it does not accurately measure their intelligence. Students are stressed, nervous, or simply do not take tests well. Standardized tests also don t show how hard working a student is, which is important and can be proven by a GPA. Many schools measure the teacher and school on how well they are teaching based on how high of a score the students place on a standardized test. The problem with this is that the people who make these standardized tests have no idea what the students have learned in the classroom so that being said, the students often are not tested on what their teacher has taught them during the school year. W. James Popham explains the mismatch of standardized tests and what students are taught: To illustrate the seriousness of the mismatch that can occur between what s taught locally and what s tested through standardized achievement tests, educators ought to know about an important study at Michigan State University reported in 1983 by Freeman and his colleagues. These researchers selected five nationally standardized achievement tests in mathematics and studied their content for grades 4 6. Then, operating on the very reasonable assumption that what goes on instructionally in classrooms is often influenced by what s contained in the textbooks that children use, ... The Middle East State System Course overview This course aims to educate students regarding the modern (post 1970) trajectory of US foreign policy in regards the Middle East, and how such policy has influenced the Middle East state system. Both in recent history and presently, the US role in the region has been pivotal in shaping the regional system as well as ensuring the stability of the regional status quo. The various interests that drive US foreign policy in the region will be examined. The US, of course, does not implement its foreign policy in a void, and therefore gaining a background on the regional state and non state actors that the US must grapple with is vital. The regional dynamics which affected the US position in the region, such as the Arab Spring, also must be accounted for in any thorough description of the formulation of US policy. To account for these factors, the course utilizes both a chronological approach to the historical development of US foreign policy toward the region, as well as including substantial background on the important regional actors with which the US interacts with. Finally, it includes a select few readings related to theoretical concepts in International Relations to provide a context for analysis of policy. Management Ideas By Golden Circle Management Ideas The book not only describes how the leaders inspires us or how they play a vital role in the organization, but it also emphasis on the various practical ideas that can be implemented in an organization to achieve success. Some of the managerial traits that I was able to find in this book are as follows: Golden Circle Concept: This concept consists of three factors that help to motivate people. Great leaders always try to motivate people, inspire them and make them do the right things. Golden Circle Concept is inspired by Golden ratio which is a mathematical ratio that had caught eye of various influential people such as artists, mathematician and so on (Sinek, 2009, p. 41). This concept focuses on three factors that are used by the leaders such as What, How and Why. For Instance, every company that exists knows what they are doing, some know how they are doing and very few can explain why they are doing the things. Leaders who do things better of others tries to start with why and communicate precisely the every detail (Leadership Excellence Essentials, 2009). Don t neglect Why: Why is one of the important factor that helps leaders a lot to achieve success. As, I was reading this book I came to realize that actually everything starts with Why. The Causes of Sleep Deprivation In Western cultures, the biggest cause of sleep deprivation is stress mostly as a result of being sick, overworking and shift working, drugs, or examinations (Pinel, 2014). Sleep loss can lead to impairment in decision making. Two studies have been conducted that look at twenty four hours of sleep deprivation and focus on the effect it has on making complex decisions. Essentially, what is the effect of total sleep deprivation in decision making? In 2009, David Schyner and his colleagues had the opportunity to subject fifteen participants to a total of twenty four hours of sleep deprivation. They set up their experiment by asking participants to make a decision between two choices and then again between three choices after a day of sleep loss. Researchers found that participants had a decreased ability to make integrative decisions between two choices, and the three choice tasks were significantly harder to make more so than the two choice task. MRIs of the participants showed an overall decrease in five regions of the brain in of task specific activity versus a full night s rest. Affected brain areas were the superior parietal lobe, which functions in spatial orientation; the superior frontal gyrus and the middle frontal gyrus, which function in self awareness in coordination with senses and processing higher information, respectively; the orbital frontal, the cognitive aspect of processing decision making; and the inferior and medial polar frontal, which operates in ... Hamlet is one of Shakespeare s most complicated characters, in that the audience is able to view Hamlet s internal struggle. By orchestrating chaos, Shakespeare creates an environment in which the male characters; Hamlet and Claudius, are free to contemplate and express their respective nature. However, when it comes to Gertrude; Hamlet s mother and initial instigator of Hamlet s conflict, there is no interior examination. There is only recognition of her sexuality, and the chaos that ensues from her decision to lay with Claudius. So why does someone so interested in human nature, like William Shakespeare, not ... Those of a wealthier status are more capable of attainting culture, and therefore able to cultivate their nature. This may be one of the reasons why women, who were seen as imperfect men, did not have the freedom to explore their interiority (Marquis 1257). Women were not made in the image of God, but rather: she is the image of man in a restrictive and analogical sense, because woman was made from man, after man, inferior to him and his likeness (Farber). Women were by design lower in the hierarchy. Not only did the Renaissance now contemplate the self, but they also found celebration of the self. Cultural historian, Jacob Burckhardt, argues that: In the Middle Ages, man was conscious of himself only as a member of a race, people, party, family or corporation only through some general category (Burke 193). During the Renaissance, however: ...this veil first melted into air...man became a spiritual individual, and recognized himself as such (193). Man could now be a spiritual individual outside of the theological realm because of this humanist movement of the Renaissance. This idea was simplified by the Renaissance Italian philosopher, Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, in his work Oration on the Dignity of Man. He believed that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I will give a brief summary of the foundations Descartes builds his thesis on, and then looking at his arguments and whether they are capable of persuading us that dualism is a logical stance to hold. We may conclude with Descartes that thought is necessary to having a mind, and materiality is necessary to having a body, it does not inevitably follow that there is an entity whose sole nature is to think. Descartes is limited by his subjective viewpoint that it could not be the case that extension could be another property of mind. He needs to prove the stronger argument that it is not possible for the mind to have extension as one of it s properties. Descartes tries to make this proof in his Divisibility Argument: Similar to this is the Argument from Distinctness which argues for the logical possibility of separating mind from body. To do this, mind and body would have to be distinct and thus it would prove both things. I can imagine myself as a thinking thing existing apart from the body (as shown by the different essences in the argument from essence.). • 39. The Gospel, A Son Of God And A Riddle Essay I do not agree with Jonathan Z. Smith s definition, particularly I do not like the word a riddle. The words Gospel, a son of God and a riddle in his definition outstand to me, and I think these words are the key of his definition. Thus, it is important to understand what these words meaning is. What is Gospel? The people usually think the Fourth Gospel that Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and it is all about Jesus. In the ancient Hellenistic time, the Gospels were regarded as biographies of Jesus (Boring, 508). If Jonathan Z. Smith represents a son of God as Jesus in his definition, I do not think the Gospel is only the story of Jesus, a son of God. While Jesus appears in every scene of Gospel, Jesus himself is not the main object of the Gospel. But I acknowledge that Jesus is the important character in the Gospel because God reveals himself through Jesus, and Jesus reveals himself as the Christ (Boring, 509). Boring said that the structure of the Gospel is not talking about Jesus s life, but it is who Jesus is in the plan of God (Boring, 510). Dr. Smith s definition seems like only focusing on Jesus as a son of God. However, I would like to emphasize God and God s work through Jesus the Christ in the Gospel rather than Jesus as a son of God. If only focusing on Jesus, we can easily miss God s works in the believer s life and the community in the Gospel. And also, it is easy to think Jesus as only human being. Premillennialist Belief In Rapture The fact that there exist various narratives concerning the topic of apocalypse invites the notion that there is a great number of people desiring the end of the world. Why would somebody be desirous of terminating the world s existence? Despite the fact that the end of the world has a dark, uncanny, irredeemably, and desperate tone to it, one has to consider its consequences. Therefore, the evangelical protestantism belief in the rapture offers a solution to the otherwise unsatisfactory or even nonexistent future. The question that emerges while analyzing rapture is whether true believers are utterly freed from desires in heaven. Humans are determined to desire something and therefore it appears unlikely that after being taken to heaven, these desires completely vanish. Another reason for apocalyptic desire in terms of the rapture is hope for a better life. People that feel incomplete, that cannot bear competition, that are harrassed or even people that are alone may desire to be taken away from a miserable place. God s existence and his presence in heaven would save them. Faith and hope motivate discontented people to cope with everyday life. Furthermore Crawford Gribben explains that: [...] dispensational premillennialism appealed to those evangelicals dissatisfied with the theological prevarications of mainstream Protestantism, as well as those, [...], whose disappointment with the possibilities of mission work was both a cause and a consequence of their increasingly pessimistic millennial point of view. The evolution of luciferase begins with the LUC gene. mRNA would copy the LUC gene in DNA and later go to the cytoplasm to do transcription to form the luciferase. The reason that this enzyme evolved many times in many organisms is because luciferase could be connected with the other proteins to track where they are going.
