Special Effects Makeup Artists
Many of the aspiring special effects make up artists begin their careers by seeking low paying jobs as
an intern or assistant to train with a more experienced artist. Whether they pursue training they must
still have a keen eye when it comes to the usage of colors. The most important tool for a special
effects make up artist to have is their personality. This is of up most importance due to the ability to
network and maintain positive work relations with other professionals in this field and it is the
difference between success and failure. Special effects makeup artist help to create a seamless
connection between the live actors/actresses and the fantasy around them. Their job is to not only
make an actor/actress look more beautiful, but in most cases it is used to make them appear scary and
beat up looking or even inhuman. Artists in this position must answer to both the costume designer
and special effects department. The main difference between a makeup artist and a special effects
makeup artist is that special effects are used to bring to life the three dimensional vision of the director
and production team. Methods such as sculpting, painting, and drawing are used to help communicate
ideas. Prospective employers look for skill, detail oriented, realistic, and of the highest quality. The
field allows you to be creative, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Prosthetics are used to conceptualize, design, and build three dimensional features that go beyond the
normal standards of makeup. This is important due to new concepts being created to leave a mark and
to escape clichés or cinematic influences. Prosthetics help to create realism and lessen the effect of
theatric appearances. Creativity is key to creating versatile appearances to give the effects of realism.
Effects such as scarring, aging, or different illnesses can be created using different

Disadvantages Of Using Marijuana
There are many advantages of using soil for growing marijuana. It is a natural medium, and therefore
most growers already have the experience of using it to grow other plants, such as tomatoes. Growing
in the soil is a natural option for most people, especially if they are used to gardening where soil is
used extensively.
Irrigation is also easier to perform in the soil, because it can tolerate novice mistakes. It can be
difficult to correct a wrong water dose when using other hydroponic systems. It is also easy to perform
the right fertilization, as help is easily available for using the soil medium.
Another advantage is that the use of slightly different soil mixtures has the ability to alter the taste of
the cannabis, therefore creating ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Different environments and soils have their particular characteristics, which makes it nearly
impossible to follow a pattern. Water is essential for moving the necessary nutrients through the roots
of the plant to where they are required for forming the flowers.
Environment is a key element for water, because hot environments may require more water while the
cool environments call for using less water. Water is also essential for cooling the plant through the
process of transpiration.
More importantly, water is required by the plants to carry out photosynthesis. As a general rule, your
soil should feel moist to the touch, but should not water your fingers. The presence of excess water is
often a recipe for attracting fungi and other plant attackers.
Plant containers should be selected for providing the right amount of breathing for the plant, which
makes fabric pots the most ideal container. You can also use pots that contain drainage holes and
saucer plates in order to catch the draining water.
You should always ensure that drainage is possible, as otherwise, the pH of the stagnant water will
change, causing a nutrient deficiency. Sitting water often attracts the buildup of molds, and bugs can
also come to attack the

Women Should Not Be Allowed To Abort A Human Life
Abortion (pros/cons) When the subject of abortion is brought up society is either pro life and believe
women should not be allowed to abort a human life because it would be considered murder or pro
choice and believe the woman carrying the unborn should have the right to determine whether they
wish to carry the baby or to abort the pregnancy. Regardless of which side you have taken it is
necessary to comprehend what the other position believes in order to make your own judgment
concerning your own pregnancy ( Arguments For and Against Abortion ). The main argument of
individuals who are pro life is that the fetus is a human being and has rights. They consider abortion to
be homicide which is unethical and should be prohibited.

Air Force Disillusionment Theory
The Air Force would be an organization that I have working in and one that I am familiar with. As an
airplane mechanic there has to be all of the elements said in Jaffee s table from social structure,
participants, goals, technology, and an environment where individuals can work in. To start off with
social structure there is always a chain of command or in some cases depends on the rank an
individual may have. As for me my rank is staff sergeant, so I oversee those who work in my shop, but
it could be different depending on where my higher ups place me. As a staff sergeant in my shop I help
and teach the new Airmen on their duties. In chapter ten of Images of Organization there was a
metaphor described as insights that attract and that comes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I mean this would not work if there was not an authoritative figure or if everyone wanted to be that
one powerful person. Going back to an Air Force example even we have to follow our chain of
command. Those individuals who are E 1 to E 3 do not want to be stuck on those ranks forever and
want to continue getting more stripes. The Air Force have somewhat like a mentor to keep persuading
individuals to see, understand, and imagine their maximum potential to get to where they want to be.
Decision making is a big deal in the Air Force, so those individuals who have the authoritative power
know what they are about to do. When an individual is being promoted this person has to re adapt to
the new workload and even new assignments. A promotion can mean a variety of different new things
because if this individual has a higher rank than one of his friends he has to put that new stance of I
have somewhat more authority than you; it is just one more of those adjustment that that individual
has to do. Decision making is a big deal also because an individual for instance may want to help an
airplane take off and he or she may not be one hundred percent trained, so that is when they have to
use the knowledge they have gained and incorporate it into the job they are facing. (This can be for
training purposes; we would not let someone who is not

Mary Kay Concealer Essay
Your appearance, beauty, and what you wear are what make a first impression on others. When you
show up with tired, under eye circles, it may appear that you are overtired. It is important that you are
able to cover up these shadows in order to appear more awake. The Mary Kay Concealer is designed
to help combat the problem of under eye circles. The color of the formula is able to conceal the purple
bluish shadows on the face. Mary Kay concealer can help you achieve the illusion of perfection by
brightening the under eye area.
The Mary Kay concealer is used for combating the problem of dark shadows underneath the eyes. In
color correcting, opposite colors on the color wheel are used to counteract the tone on the skin. For
example, green is able to diffuse redness or red spots, like blemishes. Just like green, yellow is a color
corrector and can be used to neutralize bluish purple shadows on the face. The formula of the
concealer is a variance of red, orange and yellow tones. This color is opposite of blues and purples on
the color wheel, making it neutralize the colors. The Mary Kay makeup comes in six shades: light
ivory, light beige, deep ivory, deep beige, light bonze, deep bronze. Each shade matches a specific
type of skin pigment, and spans from light to dark. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Along with that, it also has several other benefits. For example, it is able to cover up blemishes, age
spots, and any other dark marks on the skin. The makeup also blurs any fine lines so you can appear

complexion. It also is long lasting in order to offer complete coverage for the full day. It has been
dermatologist tested to ensure it s fine for sensitive skin. It won t clog the pores or cause pimples,

The sun is an incredible 2 million degrees Celsius and can reach 15 million in the core. The Sun has a
very strong magnetic field. Solar flares occur when magnetic energy is released by the Sun during
magnetic storms, which we see as sunspots. In sunspots, the magnetic lines are twisted and they spin,
much like a tornado would on Earth. (sun facts, 2012)
How the sun began
Gravity drew dust and gas together to create the solar system. The sun formed first from the material
closely by the planets. Waves of energy traveling through space pressed clouds of such particles closer
together, and gravity causes them to collapse in on themselves. As the material drew together, gravity
caused it to spin. The spin caused the cloud to flatten into a disk like a pancake. In the centre, the
material clumped together to form a protostar that would eventually become the sun. The protostar
was a ball of hydrogen and helium not yet powered by fusion. Over the course of 50 million years, the
temperature and pressure of the material inside increased, jumpstarting the fusion of hydrogen that
drives the sun today. (Credit, 2016)

Gossip-Based Algorithms
1. INTRODUCTION
Gossip based algorithm plays a major part for distributing simple and efficient information in large
networks. One of the examples of gossip based algorithm is rumor spreading model. It is also called as
rumor mongering. It is introduced by Daley Kendall (D K model) in the context of duplicated
databases. The rumor spreading algorithm is an example of epidemic process. It is mainly used to
examine in the view of mathematics. The algorithm follows synchronous rounds. The main aim of
rumor spreading is to spread a rumor to all nodes in a social network in small no of rounds. At the
beginning of the round, the information is sent to initial node known as start node. Then the
information is sent to all nodes. The node having information will not accept to receive the
information again. While executing the algorithm the graph and degree of nodes must be constant. In
case of dynamic networks, an evolving graph is introduced to study the behavior of graph and nodes.
Fig. 1 Graph connected with rumors
1.1. Problem statement:
To begin with the rumor spreading algorithm mainly concentrates the broadcasting of message that is
the information should reach all nodes of a graph. Secondly it concerns about the completion time i.e.,
within how many rounds the information is reached to all nodes. From the above research the problem
can be stated as :each node transfers the rumor what has but in cases the node might not be knowing
what information that the neighbour

Evolution Of Penguins Essay
The Evolution of Penguins Came to Life
BY; Masters Esparza
The habitat for the penguins are usually around the south like Antarctica , north pole, and ect..
Penguins are usually prefer their their habitats in those specific areas because they prefer colder and
colder weather than hot weather. Penguins only prefer cold over warmer weather because in the cold
penguins have to survive off of fish. From what i have read online it states that if that you re just a
small penguin you might live up to about 6 years maybe 7.
Penguins use their belly to reduce their body to drag in the water. You might not know this but the
only reason why penguins have bird shaped wings , it s because once they dive in they can go up to 20
mph. If penguins start to keep still and not be active their body temp. Will start to decrease and they
will be getting to the point where they will die eventually. During storm season out in the arctic

Penguins are very interesting birds, and the have a long history behind them that is more than 60

believed that the penguins are derived from a type of bird that is able to fly. Yet they needed to be able
to adapt to the waters if they were going to be able to survive. As a result their wings changed over
time to what we call flippers. They were no longer able to fly but they didn t need to. Instead they
were able to feed from the water and they were also able to walk upright on

Is Hamlet A Tragedy Essay
The play Hamlet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare. The play is about a Prince who was
called from the school of Denmark to attend his father s funeral. He was shocked to see his Queen
mother already remarried to his uncle Claudius whom he suspects to be responsible for his father s
death. Hamlet then promised to take revenge on his father s murder.
The play Hamlet is considered as Aristotle s Poetics because it is a well written tragedy. According to
Aristotle, the most important element of the tragedy is plot and followed by others such as character,
diction, thought, song and spectacle. Aristotle defined tragedy as an imitation of an action that is
serious, complete and of a certain magnitude. Aristotelian tragedy is not a narrative ... Show more

Hamartia is a flaws or character s own error which brings a terrible result. For example, Hamlet
hesitates to kill his cruel uncle leads to bring his own destruction. Stabbing Polonius behind the
curtain and his painful action towards his lover Ophelia and declaring that she should be sent to
nunnery which seems to have lost his mind. This leads to his downfall. The second concept according
to Aristotle is Anagnorisis/Recognition which is when the character recognizes the hard truth. When
Hamlet returns to Denmark after his ship is hijacked by pirates, he learns that Ophelia has committed
suicide because of her madness and over her father s death, he realized his flaw of having mistakenly
murder her father and he is unsuccessful in expressing his love and proposing her for marriage.
Another example is, by the end of the novel, Hamlet and audiences both are convinced that Uncle
Claudius killed his father and planning to kill him as well. Another example is when Hamlet realizes
and recognizes his faults after seeing his enemy actively seeking justice and honor and

The Orectolobus Arctoae
The Orectolobus arctoae or more commonly known as the Arctic Wobbegong, just like every other
reproducing organism on this planet, goes through a process called natural selection. One adaptation
of this particular organism is the ability to camouflage to the sand of the Arctic Ocean with lighter
colored flesh [in comparison to its nimble yet sluggish cousin the Japanese Wobbegong]. The genetic
variations of this adaptation are flesh tones that are the same color of, lighter or darker than the sand
of the Arctic Ocean; which is uniquely lighter than that of the Indo Pacific. The O. arctoae
overproduces its offspring with one every two years. With a gestation period of 1 year and a lifespan
of approximately 50 years, this organism produces 25 pups over its lifetime. The limiting factors in the
environment of the Arctic Ocean that cause this adaptation are the threat of multiple species of large
whales and other predators. In the process of selection, the Wobbegongs whose flesh is closer to the
color of the sand are able to survive and reproduce viable offspring. Another adaptation of the Arctic
Wobbegong is the layer of blubber under the dermis found in many Arctic organisms. The genetic
variations of this adaptation are blubber depths that are thicker or thinner than the approximate 6
inches. The O. arctoae overproduces its offspring with one every two years. With a gestation period of

The Sun As A Medium Sized Star Measuring The Earth
A rianna Duval
Mrs. Kent
English 8th
2 February 2015
The Sun
The sun is actually a star just like the stars that shine throughout the night. The sun is a medium sized
star measuring 864,948mi (1,392,000km) across 100 times the diameter of the earth (Farndon 47). The
core, the convection zone, and the photosphere are four main layers of the sun. The core makes energy
from hydrogen for the world s sight (Elvis 12). About 99 percent of the energy generated by the sun
through nuclear fusion is produced in its core (Koehler 14). Photons transport energy generated in the
sun s core. This movement from the sun s core is not instant, in fact, it can take up to 150,000 years
for energy to reach the photosphere. From the photosphere, energy generated in the core streams into
the sun s atmosphere and out into space. This energy that lights and heats the earth (14).
The secret of the sun s power lies in its center, or core. Core temperatures reach more than 27 million
degrees Fahrenheit (in Celsius it reaches up to 15 million degrees). The plasma is about 150 times
denser than water (Koehler 14). Under a massive amount of pressure heat and burning happens
(Jefferis 10). During the heat and burning process, particles of hydrogen join together, or fuse to make
hydrogen. While this is happening, energy is being given off. It is this power that provides the sun s
heat and light. Further out, the core heats layers of gas in the convection zone. Last, energy reaches the
surface of the sun

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Electron Microscope
INTRODUCTION
Electron microscopes are generally microscopes that use electrons as a source of illumination to create
an image, unlike light microscopes that relays on light. One of these types of microscopes is Scanning
Electron Microscope (SEM), This microscope uses electrons to scan the surface of a sample giving an
observer a highly magnified image of the sample. The electron microscope has been an amazing tool
for research purposes around the world for many decades and the technique was discovered and
developed throughout the years.
A SEM consist of a column that is situated at the top which generates an electron beam, and at the
bottom there is a sample stage, a thermionic cathode in the column is heated up by an electric current
and emit electrons into the vacuum and below it is an anode connected to a ... Show more content on

Another limitation to this technique is that it s expensive to buy and to maintain.
SEM is limited to solid samples so all the liquids and gaseous materials cannot be viewed under this
microscope, also samples that cannot withstand vacuum pressures cannot be viewed under this
equipment. Since the scanning electron microscope is more focused on the surface it cannot accurately
give information about the bulk at once. For samples that are not metallic like biological samples like
tissues and cells coating is necessary since they are not electrically conductive, this becomes a
limitation because a living cell cannot be viewed since coating would kill it so these are some of the

Pros And Cons Of The Good Samaritan Law
Quality of patient care can be affected in various ways, but specifically discussed here is how quality
of patient care is affected via the Good Samaritan law. In Nelson s (2017) article, an off duty RN did
not hesitate to help a person thrown from their car in an accident. The RN did what she could during
the emergency to make the person as comfortable as she could before he died on the scene. The RN
speaks about most people s natural inclination to stop and help if they could in other emergency

We should continually seek feedback to improve customer satisfaction. Part of being a good manager
is to continually evaluate our own practice and lead by example. It is very important to continually
develop our own skills and those of our staff members. I regularly attend as many Hairdressing
seminars and exhibitions as possible each year to keep myself up to date and motivated.
I find that by holding a training class in the salon one evening per week gives every team member a
chance to show their individual skills and overall quality of their own work. It allows me their
manager to pick up on their strengths and weaknesses and very often I pick up something new from
watching them.
This is information that can be used when doing staff appraisals. It shows me areas of improvement
that are needed for each individual so I can plan relevant courses for them which will all help the
overall customer service offered in my salon. Staff reviews take place annually in the salon and allows
us to look at the standard of work over the past year and set targets for the year ahead. It allows me to
give feedback to each staff member individually and I find it strengthens the relationship between us.
It also gives employees the chance to tell me what they think and what their aspirations are for the

Enter Three Witches Book Summary
Enter Three Witches: A Story of Macbeth by Caroline B. Cooney is a book focusing on two
supporting characters: Lady Mary, the daughter of the Thane of Cawdor, and Fleance, son of Banquo.
These supporting characters fit in a strange way into the backstory of Macbeth. The story which is
interesting by its self, has flaws. In reading this book directly after Macbeth by William Shakespeare it
is difficult find the deeper meaning of Enter Three Witches. One struggle of the book is finding the
meaning or purpose to the story. Half way through the book most readers cannot find the why behind
the book. Why is Lady Mary important to the book, how does se impact the overall story of Macbeth?
Is she growing as a character? If Mary is the protagonist who is the antagonist? Many questions left
unanswered. The overall confusion on the why of the book comes from the simple question, who is
the book about: Lady Mary or Macbeth? Another confusion with the book is the title. Picking up and
reading the cover many assume the book is about the witches working behind the scenes eventually
leading Macbeth to his demise. The book does talk about the witches in better detail and from a
different point of view, however the reader only gets a glimpse at them and their full impact. ... Show

Macbeth. It tries to add on the story frankly where things don t need to be added. One of these
unneeded things was the characters of Swin and Illred. These characters had major roles in the story
with Lady Mary, sometimes even having their own thoughts put into the book. These characters never
existed in the world of Macbeth, they barely have contact with characters who are major. Thus

Metro Man As A Villain In The Metro Man
Although Metro Man is portrayed as one who aims to serve Metro City and its residents, he acts as the
indirect root of villainy in the city. While Megamind is portrayed as the villain early in the film, Metro
Man is the real villain in Megamind (McGrath, 2010) as he acts in an extremely selfish manner
throughout the film, as displayed in particular by his actions towards Megamind, and in this creates
and supports continued actions of evil intent towards the people of Metro City. Metro Man involves
himself in the creation of villainy through his ostracization of Megamind, encouraging him to become
a villain, and his abandonment of Metro City in its time of need for purely selfish reasons. From the
beginning of both of their lives on Earth, Metro Man acts to separate Megamind from the rest of
acceptable society. He does this by initially dropping him in prison, and then later treating him as an
outcast in school. Pushing Megamind from the rest of the population serves to provide him with the
impetus to engage in chaotic and evil actions. Joseph Campbell described what the hero s journey
consists of in saying, A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of
supernatural wonder... comes back from the mysterious adventure with power to bestow boons (as
cited in Alsford, 2006, p. 24). Metro Man does not move through this journey, he never reaches a
crisis, and he never goes on a mysterious adventure, however Megamind does go through this. In
contrast to Metro Man, Megamind is forced out of society at the hands of Metro Man for years, but
eventually comes back as a hero as the result of a traumatic event. Megamind is the obvious hero of
the movie, and when compared to Metro Man who s clearly not the hero initially brought up to be. In
the interim period, Megamind tries to do evil across the city, though this is only because he feels like
an outcast due to how Metro Man treats him in school. Megamind is forced to confront his point of
crisis for years as he is thrust from the world because of his clumsiness, forcing him to inflict pain and
suffering on others. This pursuit of his is only natural as the two paths one can take from trauma are to
recede from the world or to embrace it and attempt to

disadvantage is that the original shareholders can lose domination of a business if large quantities of

publish a report of their financial information for the public to read also involving their competitors.

Anti-Aging Benefits Of The Mediterranean Diet
Anti Aging Benefits of Mediterranean Diet
September 15, 2016
Jonathan Swift said, Everybody wants to live forever, but nobody wants to grow old.
Wouldn t it be nice? If we could stay healthy and young, living as long as possible would be great.
Because that is a deep down desire of the majority, many people are always on a quest to slow down
the aging process.
So, our question for today is: What are the Anti Aging Benefits of the Mediterranean Diet?
First, we must acknowledge that no diet in the world can halt or slow the aging process. Aging is
inevitable and food is not the elixir of life although the type of food you choose can lengthen or
shorten your life.
What has been proven by numerous studies is that the Mediterranean diet ... Show more content on

People eat whatever is the most convenient with little regard for their health. This is very upsetting
and dangerous for the population as a whole.
There is a wide assumption that healthy food is not delicious. They believe that they must live on a
steady diet of raw carrots and steamed chicken breasts and decide that is not for them. They would
much rather have a fast food burger and cheese fries instead it s easier and tastier.
What they don t know is that the Mediterranean Diet is filled with DELICIOUS AND HEALTHY
food, which is why people in the Mediterranean Region are often healthier and live longer lives than
Americans.
The foundation of the Med Diet is fresh vegetables. In the US, vegetables are typically an
afterthought, with unhealthy choices like fried potatoes being classified as vegetables.
When you make vegetables the center of your meals, you will get your daily dose of antioxidants to
fight the free radicals in your body; plus give your body necessary nutrients and keep your skin
healthy and supple.
Fruit is another important part of the Med diet. They are filled with nutrients and rich in fiber, which
slows down digestion so you do not get hungry as quickly. The fruit also prevents sugar

The Importance Of Self Esteem

The Importance of Self Esteem
It is often said that if an individual wishes to succeed in life they must have confidence. That in order
to handle difficult situations it is confidence that will see them through. But what if that s wrong?
What if there was a lesser known, subtly more powerful force that would allow an individual to
succeed and be resilient to those difficult situations? Often confused with confidence, it is self esteem
that is a powerful mechanism affecting mental well being, resiliency, and physical health. However,
before understanding how self esteem effects humans it is important to differentiate it from its oft
confused cousin: confidence.
In order to understand the importance of self esteem it is necessary to establish a basis. Both
definitions that are hereby given were extracted from the Psychology Dictionary in order to maintain
consistency. Therefore to begin, self confidence is the varying levels of trust we place in our skills,
reasoning, and capacity. For example: David has high self confidence in his ability to complete the
task at hand though he s never experienced the task before. The example illustrates that David doesn t
need confidence in himself nor in his self image, but in tangible assets of skill, capacity, and
reasoning. If David fails in being able to complete the task then he knows that his high self confidence
was inaccurate and can adjust his trust regarding that task for

Tolerance and tenacity are two characteristics that most writers and poets struggle to maintain. They
must summon the will to push themselves in order to do their work and produce meaningful art. The
same goes within society, individuals have to choose whether or not to continuing trying to fight for
what they want or give into all the objects that are restraining them. In the poem Marching Through a

use of a forceful tone and imagery that is homogenous with life in the military in order to prove the
importance of persistence and perseverance. Updike personifies his characters as real individuals

K. Roach Marilynne K. Roach is a resident of Watertown, Massachusetts. She went on to graduate
with a BFA from MCA (Massachusetts College of Art) but she uniquely gives credit to the public
library systems for the rest of her education. This is very interesting to me because she says that
libraries are what she owes to her education to. Because of all the books she reads she later turns out
to be a great book writer herself. The library system really did impact Marilynne s life drastically. But
besides illustrating other writers work in history she also has written and illustrated many books of her
own, this including Six Women of Salem . Before I read this book, heard, or even much less
understood the history behind the Salem witch trails in my History or English classes, I really didn t
know much about the history of these horrible events that condemned a lot of innocent women to
death. In, Six Women of Salem by, Marilynne K. Roach she does three major things that make her
book extraordinary. First, her interesting style of writing skillfully strengthens the envelope of time in
the book. Second, Roach masterfully answers any questions the reader or I may have or had about
these Witch Trails. Third, K. Roach successfully illustrates to her readers the story of these horrid
trials. In the stories of the six women, Roach helps us grasp events of the trials in the conditions

Kingfisher airlines ranks second with 20% market share. NACIL (National Aviation Company

The airline with the largest fleet in the domestic market is Air India, but its market share of the number
of passengers is low, and therefore results in a low fleet hare to passenger share ratio of 0.62.
Kingfisher leads the full service carrier segment with a fleet to market share ratio of 0.95, but this also
includes figures from their low cost Kingfisher Red service. Passenger market share leader Jet
Airways is at 0.82 and this includes their low fare service Jet Konnect.
For a better comparison between Jet and Kingfisher, if we add up the numbers of Jet s other low fare
subsidiary JetLite, the total group ratio of Jet at 0.865 still remains well behind Kingfisher s 0.95,
suggesting a far more aggressive fleet utilisation strategy by Kingfisher.
Expectedly, the low fare carrier side shows much higher ratios, due to their higher usage of aircraft
and also the higher number of seats offered per flight due to an all economy configuration. The
laggard is JetLite with a ratio of 1 while SpiceJet and IndiGo are neck and neck at 1.75 and

Abstract
In my biology class we conducted an experiment to determine if there was a direct correlation
between the concentration of lead levels in soil and the effect it has on plant synthesis and plant
height. The specimen used in the experiment is a species of plant, Brassica rapa. Seeds of B. rapa were
careful planted within every cell of a cubical that was filled with six different concentrations of lead
which was our treatment group and the control was the cubical with no lead soil in it. Plant height and
temperature were recorded with a thermostat and a mm ruler. The results show that lead concentration
does not have a relationship with plant height except in concentration of 100 mg/kg and 2000 mg/kg.
During this three week experiment, the mean of over a hundred students plant heights were recorded
and all the student s plants showed similar results meaning lead nitrate concentrations in soil does not
affect the growth.

Peoria, Illinois syedtauseefali@mail.bradley.edu Abstract Managing a project team requires an
understanding and knowledge of modern management as well as the knowledge of the design and
construction process. Nowadays, associations in the development area use groups to meet today s
global competition and client desires, however, they require better methods for assessing the viability
of the groups. To guarantee that development groups are successful and viable, development
organizations must advance, measure, and assess their groups viability. A project team is bound by a
certain set of constraints, for example, delivering a construction project in a required time frame and
so they need to see the big picture or have a clear set of goal planned in order to execute the project in
time and with good quality. This paper is outlined to provide details regarding the roles and
responsibilities of the different members involved in a project management team and what factors
contribute to conflicts within the team and how they should be resolved.

The Beloved Country By Alan Paton
Family in Cry, the Beloved Country
One cannot run from hardships, for they occur every day, appear suddenly, and can quickly consume
hope. Instead one must face these difficulties and overcome them. However, to rise above obstacles
alone would only cause further misery and despair. The struggler s family should rally behind him to
comfort and assist him in his time of need. In Cry, the Beloved Country, a 1948 contemporary novel,
Alan Paton uses parallelism to emphasize the importance of family because when individuals
encounter hardships they need support from others to help them.
Primarily, tribal families encourage those who suffer with kind words and actions. Stephen Kumalo, a
man filled with pain and suffering , speaks of the hope he receives from others when he says, There is
my wife, and you, my friend, and these people who welcomed me, and the child who is so eager to be
with us here in Ndotsheni so in my suffering I can believe (261). Paton uses the parallel structure
polysyndeton to show how many people from one s family will go out of their way to lift one s spirits
and renew one s faith in God. Cry, the Beloved Country shows readers that even in difficult times one
can find family eager to provide solace to those in need. Whenever there comes trouble, one can
always count on family to rekindle lost hope.
Although family cannot entirely relieve one of misery, their presence can soothe the pain. When
Kumalo hears of his sister s sickness and must leave

  • 4. Disadvantages Of Using Marijuana There are many advantages of using soil for growing marijuana. It is a natural medium, and therefore most growers already have the experience of using it to grow other plants, such as tomatoes. Growing in the soil is a natural option for most people, especially if they are used to gardening where soil is used extensively. Irrigation is also easier to perform in the soil, because it can tolerate novice mistakes. It can be difficult to correct a wrong water dose when using other hydroponic systems. Water is essential for moving the necessary nutrients through the roots of the plant to where they are required for forming the flowers. Environment is a key element for water, because hot environments may require more water while the cool environments call for using less water. Water is also essential for cooling the plant through the process of transpiration. More importantly, water is required by the plants to carry out photosynthesis. As a general rule, your soil should feel moist to the touch, but should not water your fingers. The presence of excess water is often a recipe for attracting fungi and other plant attackers. As an airplane mechanic there has to be all of the elements said in Jaffee s table from social structure, participants, goals, technology, and an environment where individuals can work in. To start off with social structure there is always a chain of command or in some cases depends on the rank an individual may have. As for me my rank is staff sergeant, so I oversee those who work in my shop, but it could be different depending on where my higher ups place me. As a staff sergeant in my shop I help and teach the new Airmen on their duties. In chapter ten of Images of Organization there was a metaphor described as insights that attract and that comes ... Those individuals who are E 1 to E 3 do not want to be stuck on those ranks forever and want to continue getting more stripes. The Air Force have somewhat like a mentor to keep persuading individuals to see, understand, and imagine their maximum potential to get to where they want to be. Decision making is a big deal in the Air Force, so those individuals who have the authoritative power know what they are about to do. When an individual is being promoted this person has to re adapt to the new workload and even new assignments. A promotion can mean a variety of different new things because if this individual has a higher rank than one of his friends he has to put that new stance of I have somewhat more authority than you; it is just one more of those adjustment that that individual has to do. Decision making is a big deal also because an individual for instance may want to help an airplane take off and he or she may not be one hundred percent trained, so that is when they have to use the knowledge they have gained and incorporate it into the job they are facing. Solar flares occur when magnetic energy is released by the Sun during magnetic storms, which we see as sunspots. In sunspots, the magnetic lines are twisted and they spin, much like a tornado would on Earth. (sun facts, 2012) How the sun began Gravity drew dust and gas together to create the solar system. The sun formed first from the material closely by the planets. Waves of energy traveling through space pressed clouds of such particles closer together, and gravity causes them to collapse in on themselves. As the material drew together, gravity caused it to spin. The spin caused the cloud to flatten into a disk like a pancake. In the centre, the material clumped together to form a protostar that would eventually become the sun. The protostar was a ball of hydrogen and helium not yet powered by fusion. Over the course of 50 million years, the temperature and pressure of the material inside increased, jumpstarting the fusion of hydrogen that drives the sun today. One of the examples of gossip based algorithm is rumor spreading model. It is also called as rumor mongering. It is introduced by Daley Kendall (D K model) in the context of duplicated databases. The rumor spreading algorithm is an example of epidemic process. It is mainly used to examine in the view of mathematics. The algorithm follows synchronous rounds. The main aim of rumor spreading is to spread a rumor to all nodes in a social network in small no of rounds. At the beginning of the round, the information is sent to initial node known as start node. Then the information is sent to all nodes. The node having information will not accept to receive the information again. While executing the algorithm the graph and degree of nodes must be constant. In case of dynamic networks, an evolving graph is introduced to study the behavior of graph and nodes. Fig. 1 Graph connected with rumors 1.1. Problem statement: To begin with the rumor spreading algorithm mainly concentrates the broadcasting of message that is the information should reach all nodes of a graph. Secondly it concerns about the completion time i.e., within how many rounds the information is reached to all nodes. From the above research the problem can be stated as :each node transfers the rumor what has but in cases the node might not be knowing what information that the neighbour ... • 14. The Orectolobus Arctoae The Orectolobus arctoae or more commonly known as the Arctic Wobbegong, just like every other reproducing organism on this planet, goes through a process called natural selection. One adaptation of this particular organism is the ability to camouflage to the sand of the Arctic Ocean with lighter colored flesh [in comparison to its nimble yet sluggish cousin the Japanese Wobbegong]. The genetic variations of this adaptation are flesh tones that are the same color of, lighter or darker than the sand of the Arctic Ocean; which is uniquely lighter than that of the Indo Pacific. The O. arctoae overproduces its offspring with one every two years. With a gestation period of 1 year and a lifespan of approximately 50 years, this organism produces 25 pups over its lifetime. The limiting factors in the environment of the Arctic Ocean that cause this adaptation are the threat of multiple species of large whales and other predators. In the process of selection, the Wobbegongs whose flesh is closer to the color of the sand are able to survive and reproduce viable offspring. Another adaptation of the Arctic Wobbegong is the layer of blubber under the dermis found in many Arctic organisms. The genetic variations of this adaptation are blubber depths that are thicker or thinner than the approximate 6 inches. The O. arctoae overproduces its offspring with one every two years. • 15. The Sun As A Medium Sized Star Measuring The Earth A rianna Duval Mrs. Kent English 8th 2 February 2015 The Sun The sun is actually a star just like the stars that shine throughout the night. The sun is a medium sized star measuring 864,948mi (1,392,000km) across 100 times the diameter of the earth (Farndon 47). The core, the convection zone, and the photosphere are four main layers of the sun. The core makes energy from hydrogen for the world s sight (Elvis 12). About 99 percent of the energy generated by the sun through nuclear fusion is produced in its core (Koehler 14). Photons transport energy generated in the sun s core. This movement from the sun s core is not instant, in fact, it can take up to 150,000 years for energy to reach the photosphere. From the photosphere, energy generated in the core streams into the sun s atmosphere and out into space. This energy that lights and heats the earth (14). The secret of the sun s power lies in its center, or core. Core temperatures reach more than 27 million degrees Fahrenheit (in Celsius it reaches up to 15 million degrees). The plasma is about 150 times denser than water (Koehler 14). Under a massive amount of pressure heat and burning happens (Jefferis 10). During the heat and burning process, particles of hydrogen join together, or fuse to make hydrogen. While this is happening, energy is being given off. It is this power that provides the sun s heat and light. Further out, the core heats layers of gas in the convection zone. Last, energy reaches the surface of the sun ... These supporting characters fit in a strange way into the backstory of Macbeth. The story which is interesting by its self, has flaws. In reading this book directly after Macbeth by William Shakespeare it is difficult find the deeper meaning of Enter Three Witches. One struggle of the book is finding the meaning or purpose to the story. Half way through the book most readers cannot find the why behind the book. Why is Lady Mary important to the book, how does se impact the overall story of Macbeth? Is she growing as a character? If Mary is the protagonist who is the antagonist? • 23. Metro Man As A Villain In The Metro Man Although Metro Man is portrayed as one who aims to serve Metro City and its residents, he acts as the indirect root of villainy in the city. While Megamind is portrayed as the villain early in the film, Metro Man is the real villain in Megamind (McGrath, 2010) as he acts in an extremely selfish manner throughout the film, as displayed in particular by his actions towards Megamind, and in this creates and supports continued actions of evil intent towards the people of Metro City. Metro Man involves himself in the creation of villainy through his ostracization of Megamind, encouraging him to become a villain, and his abandonment of Metro City in its time of need for purely selfish reasons. From the beginning of both of their lives on Earth, Metro Man acts to separate Megamind from the rest of acceptable society. He does this by initially dropping him in prison, and then later treating him as an outcast in school. Pushing Megamind from the rest of the population serves to provide him with the impetus to engage in chaotic and evil actions. Joseph Campbell described what the hero s journey consists of in saying, A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder... comes back from the mysterious adventure with power to bestow boons (as cited in Alsford, 2006, p. 24). Metro Man does not move through this journey, he never reaches a crisis, and he never goes on a mysterious adventure, however Megamind does go through this. In contrast to Metro Man, Megamind is forced out of society at the hands of Metro Man for years, but eventually comes back as a hero as the result of a traumatic event. Megamind is the obvious hero of the movie, and when compared to Metro Man who s clearly not the hero initially brought up to be. In the interim period, Megamind tries to do evil across the city, though this is only because he feels like an outcast due to how Metro Man treats him in school. Megamind is forced to confront his point of crisis for years as he is thrust from the world because of his clumsiness, forcing him to inflict pain and suffering on others. The Importance Of Self Esteem Amy Sanborn Professor Matthew Mills BU 110 25 October 2016 The Importance of Self Esteem It is often said that if an individual wishes to succeed in life they must have confidence. That in order to handle difficult situations it is confidence that will see them through. But what if that s wrong? What if there was a lesser known, subtly more powerful force that would allow an individual to succeed and be resilient to those difficult situations? Often confused with confidence, it is self esteem that is a powerful mechanism affecting mental well being, resiliency, and physical health. However, before understanding how self esteem effects humans it is important to differentiate it from its oft confused cousin: confidence. In order to understand the importance of self esteem it is necessary to establish a basis. Both definitions that are hereby given were extracted from the Psychology Dictionary in order to maintain consistency. Therefore to begin, self confidence is the varying levels of trust we place in our skills, reasoning, and capacity. For example: David has high self confidence in his ability to complete the task at hand though he s never experienced the task before. The example illustrates that David doesn t need confidence in himself nor in his self image, but in tangible assets of skill, capacity, and reasoning. If David fails in being able to complete the task then he knows that his high self confidence was inaccurate and can adjust his trust regarding that task for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Roach is a resident of Watertown, Massachusetts. She went on to graduate with a BFA from MCA (Massachusetts College of Art) but she uniquely gives credit to the public library systems for the rest of her education. This is very interesting to me because she says that libraries are what she owes to her education to. Because of all the books she reads she later turns out to be a great book writer herself. The library system really did impact Marilynne s life drastically. But besides illustrating other writers work in history she also has written and illustrated many books of her own, this including Six Women of Salem . Before I read this book, heard, or even much less understood the history behind the Salem witch trails in my History or English classes, I really didn t know much about the history of these horrible events that condemned a lot of innocent women to death. In, Six Women of Salem by, Marilynne K. Roach she does three major things that make her book extraordinary. First, her interesting style of writing skillfully strengthens the envelope of time in the book. Second, Roach masterfully answers any questions the reader or I may have or had about these Witch Trails. Third, K. Roach successfully illustrates to her readers the story of these horrid trials. In the stories of the six women, Roach helps us grasp events of the trials in the conditions ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The airline with the largest fleet in the domestic market is Air India, but its market share of the number of passengers is low, and therefore results in a low fleet hare to passenger share ratio of 0.62. Kingfisher leads the full service carrier segment with a fleet to market share ratio of 0.95, but this also includes figures from their low cost Kingfisher Red service. Passenger market share leader Jet Airways is at 0.82 and this includes their low fare service Jet Konnect. For a better comparison between Jet and Kingfisher, if we add up the numbers of Jet s other low fare subsidiary JetLite, the total group ratio of Jet at 0.865 still remains well behind Kingfisher s 0.95, suggesting a far more aggressive fleet utilisation strategy by Kingfisher. Expectedly, the low fare carrier side shows much higher ratios, due to their higher usage of aircraft and also the higher number of seats offered per flight due to an all economy configuration. The laggard is JetLite with a ratio of 1 while SpiceJet and IndiGo are neck and neck at 1.75 and 1.76.However, GoAir, has an industry leading, fleet to passenger share ratio of 2.04. Tiller III, Corey Biology Department Birmingham Southern College Date: October 24, 2016 Teacher: Jennifer Kelly Abstract In my biology class we conducted an experiment to determine if there was a direct correlation between the concentration of lead levels in soil and the effect it has on plant synthesis and plant height. The specimen used in the experiment is a species of plant, Brassica rapa. Seeds of B. rapa were careful planted within every cell of a cubical that was filled with six different concentrations of lead which was our treatment group and the control was the cubical with no lead soil in it. Plant height and temperature were recorded with a thermostat and a mm ruler. The results show that lead concentration does not have a relationship with plant height except in concentration of 100 mg/kg and 2000 mg/kg. During this three week experiment, the mean of over a hundred students plant heights were recorded and all the student s plants showed similar results meaning lead nitrate concentrations in soil does not affect the growth. • 39. The Beloved Country By Alan Paton Family in Cry, the Beloved Country One cannot run from hardships, for they occur every day, appear suddenly, and can quickly consume hope. Instead one must face these difficulties and overcome them. However, to rise above obstacles alone would only cause further misery and despair. The struggler s family should rally behind him to comfort and assist him in his time of need. In Cry, the Beloved Country, a 1948 contemporary novel, Alan Paton uses parallelism to emphasize the importance of family because when individuals encounter hardships they need support from others to help them. Primarily, tribal families encourage those who suffer with kind words and actions. Stephen Kumalo, a man filled with pain and suffering , speaks of the hope he receives from others when he says, There is my wife, and you, my friend, and these people who welcomed me, and the child who is so eager to be with us here in Ndotsheni so in my suffering I can believe (261). Paton uses the parallel structure polysyndeton to show how many people from one s family will go out of their way to lift one s spirits and renew one s faith in God. Cry, the Beloved Country shows readers that even in difficult times one can find family eager to provide solace to those in need. Whenever there comes trouble, one can always count on family to rekindle lost hope. Although family cannot entirely relieve one of misery, their presence can soothe the pain. When Kumalo hears of his sister s sickness and must leave ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
