Solution Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Solution" can be a challenging endeavor, requiring a
thoughtful and analytical approach. The difficulty lies in the need to not only identify a problem
but also propose viable solutions. It demands a deep understanding of the issue at hand,
thorough research, and the ability to critically evaluate potential remedies.
To begin with, one must delve into the complexities of the problem, unraveling its layers to
comprehend its nuances fully. This initial phase often involves extensive research to gather
relevant data and perspectives. Juggling various sources while discerning credible information
adds another layer of difficulty. The essay must present a comprehensive overview of the
problem, making it accessible to readers who may not be familiar with the subject matter.
Once the problem is articulated, the essay shifts focus to the challenging task of proposing
solutions. Crafting effective solutions requires a blend of creativity, critical thinking, and a firm
grasp of the topic. It's not just about suggesting quick fixes but offering well-reasoned, practical
approaches that stand up to scrutiny. Additionally, one must address potential counterarguments
and demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed solutions.
The structure of the essay itself poses a challenge, as the writer must seamlessly weave together
the problem, its intricacies, and the proposed solutions in a coherent and engaging manner.
Transitioning between these elements without losing the reader's attention requires skillful writing
and organizational acumen.
In conclusion, composing a Solution Essay involves navigating through a maze of information,
addressing a multifaceted problem, and devising practical solutions while maintaining clarity and
coherence. It is a task that demands not only writing proficiency but also a deep understanding
of the subject matter and the ability to think critically.
For those who find themselves grappling with the complexities of such essays, assistance is

The Theme Of Hate In The Count Of Monte Cristo
In the book The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, Hate seems to be a
stronger force than love, unlike the saying love is the strongest force in the world.
Although in some instances love is a pretty strong force. In chapter 21 starting on
page 119, the so called love of the Count of Monte Cristo is actually a mask for his
hatred and revenge. Albert gets kidnapped by italian bandits led by Luigi Vampa.
Vampa is a long time friend of the Count of Monte Cristoand The Count actually set
up Albert to get kidnapped by him far ahead of the time. The Count did all of this out
of hatred and the want for revenge on his enemies. It does appear to Albert and Franz
that the Count is a kind gentleman, but he actually helped them so that Albert
Creating A New Cyber Force
1. Today, there is a new battlefield domain where a keyboard and mouse are the new
weapons of conflict. With land, sea, air and space in the background, warfare has
entered a fifth domain: cyber. In this position paper, using a pro and con format,
the debate on whether or not the Department of Defense (DoD) should create a
new, independent branch for cyber will be discussed. To do this, the following will
examine both sides of debate by highlighting two main points: the elimination of
duplication of effort and the intensive resources required to make the transition.
Finally, a look into a larger talent pool will be explored to highlight the largest
benefit of creating a new Cyber Force. It is this paper s stance that the DoD should
create a separate structure in order to meet the new domain s unique demands.
2. To better understand this topic, a brief background on cyber warrants a closer
look. President Obama concluded as early as 2009 that the nation s digital
infrastructure of networks and computers that we depend on should be treated as a
strategic national asset.1 With the former head of security at Microsoft acting as the
cybersecurity tsar for the White House and General Keith Alexander, Director of the
National Security Agency (NSA), leading Cyber Command (CYBERCOM), the
protection of the nation s infrastructure is finally being treated like a national security
priority.2 This shift brings with it a debate on how to structure the US assets to
realize its
Causes Of The Treaty Of Versaille
On July 28 1919, the Treaty of Versaille was signed (Treaty of Versaille). Before the
signing the Kaiser fled the country in November 1918 (Llewellyn, J. Weimar
Republic Timeline ) and the SDP (Social Democratic Party) leader Philipp
Scheidemann made Germany into the Weimar Republic ( Llewellyn, J. Weimar
Republic Timeline ). Germany at the time had thought that the Treaty would be
based on the Woodrow Wilson s original 14 points that were made in january 8
1918( fourteen points ). Later on these points would be re evaluated at the Paris
Peace Conference and altered( Todd, Allan ). Germany felt cheated as they already
had requested peace negotiations with Woodrow Wilson on October 3 to 4 1918 (
fourteen points ). The Treaty of Versaille had

The Treaty got rid of 13% of their land 10% of their population with most of their
land being economically beneficial (Todd, Allan). The reason why some
historians believe that the Treaty of Versaille was the root cause of economic
failure is because of the war guilt clause, Article 231. ARTICLE 231 The Allied and
Associated Governments affirm and Germany accepts the responsibility of
Germany and her allies for causing all the loss and damage to which the Allied and
Associated Governments and their nationals have been subjected as a
consequence of the war imposed upon them by the aggression of Germany and her
allies. (Treaty of Peace). With their land loss and population decrease Germany
was only able to pay 2.5% of their annual GDP for reparations(HANTKE, MAX).
They were expected to pay 230 million gold marks which they could only offer 30
million gold marks (20th century international relations). With most of their
population missing and with less land they can produce less than they could before
the war while they have to make more than before because of the war guilt clause of
Article 231. That s why the the treaty is significant to the economic collapse of
Germany and why some historians would believe that this was the root cause
A Review of Globalization and Its Discontents, by Joseph...
One of the most pressing economic problems of our time is the objectionable
direction taken by the leading regulating institutions, such as the International
Monetary Fund or the World Bank. This issue is addressed in Globalization and Its
Discontents, and is thoroughly analyzed throughout the next pages. It was written by
Joseph E. Stiglitz, (born February 9, 1943), an American economist and author. He
is also the former Senior Vice President and Chief Economist of the World Bank. He
is known for his critical view of the modern management of globalization, free market
economists and some international institutions like the International Monetary Fund
and the World Bank. He was born in Gary, Indiana and received his PHD from MIT
in 1967,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other side, establishing capital market liberalization (pp. 44 46) was a
mistake. Lastly, the IMF s answers to the majority of economic crises, such as the
one that laid waste to East Asia (pp. 89) had negative outcomes, deteriorating the
conditions in these territories. In particular, raising the interest rates and enforcing
financial austerity were burdens for the continent s economic growth. In order to
prove his points, the economist explains that China, India and Malaysia, the two first
countries being spared by the studied crisis and the latter having known a quick
recovery by ignoring the IMF s advice.
The IMF and the World Bank s policies incorrect and brutal doe not emanate from an
active conspiracy, but have more to do with the economic actors individual interests
(these actors opinions being able to prevail thanks to their political stature) and the
ideology developed as a result. The book then states that the leaders and choice
makers of these two institutions truly believe in the rightfulness of their regulating
and development policies. According to the author, the solution of the problem lies
above all in the democratization process within the debated organizations, as their
very credibility is at stake. The governments and their Ministers of Finance s activities
should be transparent, objective
Greenwich Contains A Quotation By Edmund Burke
At the top of the cartoon Greenwich includes a quotation by Edmund Burke that
reads All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing. By
starting with this quotation Greenwich instantly inserts his main opinion that is
presented in this work, which can be easily analyzed just from the quotation that
leads into the visual drawing. With reference to the situation that the cartoon is
about, the evil that is succeeding is the Nazi Party, symbolized by the swastika flag,
and this evil is triumphing due to the lack of action from the good Pius XII. A quick
glance at this cartoon could result in a viewer misreading the cartoon, perceiving the
author s message as Pius XII sealing the fate of the prosecuted Jews, but a closer
Conflicts Between The Police And The People
Throughout American history we ve had many instances where conflicts between
the police and the people have occurred and it was difficult to find what exactly
happened. They become he said she said type of situations even when there may be a
lot of evidence and eyewitness accounts because people want to see it for themselves.
With having policebody camera s it can be helped to eliminate these issues and finally
work on helping with core issues there are today. Not all police officers are bad and
not all peopleare good. However, we re in 2014 and we shouldn t have some of the
problems we have. In 2008 it was recorded that males were more likely to receive
threats or use of force and in 74% of these situations were viewed as excessive and
included pushing or grabbing. It was reported that 19% of these conflicts included the
personbeing injured. In statistics from 2011 2012 it s been proven that in many
shore communities that 44% of the arrests were black while they had made up
only 15% of the population. As of 2012 in our own town we had a rate of 384.6 per
1000 residents were arrested if they were blacks v.s. a whopping 90.1 per 1000
residents if you were not black. The point is, race, racial profiling, and brutality
also have a great deal to influence why this bill should be passed. In a 12 month trial
in Rialto (CA) they held an experimental study in which they had a had some of
their officers wear a body camera while on duty and other officers without one. Some

The ACE Process
The first project of ENG W231 entailed understanding the purpose of the ACE
process, professionalism, communication through different mediums, and ethical
considerations. I was to apply my understanding through three different scenarios.
This memo summarizes the process of completing project one and the additional
knowledge learned. The ACE Process and Analyzing The Analyze, Composing, and
Evaluating process is a communication guide, for many mediums of communication.
My first chosen scenario was Exercise 13 on page 153. The instructions were to
inform the vice president you have read a book he would find interest in. Before
drafting, analyzing was an important step. I began by examining my purpose. The
email should inform the vice president... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is in efforts to have him donate to a program. After drafting, I went back and
evaluated my letter. I made the letter clear by taking out distracting words. I
replaced those words with concrete wording. This allows my audience to
understand my main point better. Restating my points multiple times began to
take away from my letter. Instead, I gave reason to why I wanted donations from
this person. This made my letter my concise and helped identify my purpose.
Good and Bad News Through this project I learned the different approaches you
take with good news versus bad news. When composing a good newsletter the
main points are listed first. However, in a bad news message the main points would
be listed later. Bad new should be phrased clearly. The message should not be vague
or misleading. Unlike bad news messages, good news messages should be direct.
These message list the purpose and outline any terms. Persuasive Selecting the best
medium option to persuade is important. In the fifth chapter it list the benefits and
disadvantages of each option. For example, telephone calls can communicate
personally to an individual. Telephone calls can be a disadvantage when attempting to
share a complex

Male Dominance In Hills Like White Elephants And The...
Hills Like White Elephants written by Ernest Hemingway and The Unwanted Child
by Mary Clearman Blew both carry a theme of male dominance. The girl s role is
diminished due to the actions of both genders. Within both Hills Like White White
Elephants and The Unwanted Child the male takes on the dominant role when the
women choose to be independent or remain inferior. Hills Like White Elephants tells
a tale of a young girl who travels with an American, who impregnates her. Throughout
the story, they continue to bicker back and forth about whether or not keeping the
baby is the better option. The male shows dominance by constantly making the girl
recognize that things are going to be much different. If they do have a child together,

In 1958, men were naturally looked at as dominant. Because of this, the woman,
Mary, was told by her mother in law and grandmother in law that she should drop
out of school and work to support the husband. The mother and grandma made it
very clear that school was not a necessity, Unlike my in laws, who have not
hesitated to tell me I should go work as a typist or waitress to support my
husband... (Clearman 45). This quote shows that although Mary had been working
and had just completed her first year of college, her efforts were not needed as
long as she had her husband. In that era, having a child was exciting and thrilling.
But, Mary did not want to have a child because it could possibly ruin her dream of
having an education. When at the doctor s office, the doctor congratulated Mary for
being pregnant but when the eighth month came around the corner, she started to
second guess her choice. When the doctor told her that if she did not want the
baby he could give it away to someone who did, she replied, I want it, I lied..
(Clearman 54). This quote states that she did not want to keep the child but because
her family reassured her that having the baby is essential to being a better wife.
Therefore the time period of the story influenced the societal perspective of
pregnancy and a woman s role in the household, as it further emphasized their
inferiority to
The Book Of Discipline By Thomas Paine
Thomas Paine argued that there is happiness in Deism, when one rightly understood
it concept. What makes Deism stood out from the rest of world religion, Is that
Deist doesn t need tricks to show miracles to confirm faith. He claimed that Deism
brings happiness to it followers; unlike other religious believe systems where they
restrain from reasoning and if the reasoning makes sense they will dispute against it.
A man or a woman who able to think at all must restrain his/her own reason in order
to force themselves into believe the teaching of that religionwithout questioning.

Base on the Confession of Faith in The Book of Discipline, in article II We believe
in Jesus Christ, truly God and truly man, in whom the divine and human natures
are perfectly and inseparably united. He is the eternal Word made flesh, the only
begotten Son of the Father, born of the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy
Spirit. As ministering servant he lived, suffered and died on the cross. He was
buried, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven to be with the Father, from
whence he shall return. He is eternal Savior and Mediator, who intercedes for us,
and by him all persons are to be judged. Methodist Church denomination is closer to
the Anglican Church and the Church of England. Methodist doctrine states that
Jesus was the Son of God, the child of the Virgin Mary and the Holy Spirit, truly
God and truly Man, who appear to be our salvation descended down to Earth from
heaven. The Evangelical Methodists believe that if one has sinned but confessed
and repented their sin will be forgiven. Forgiveness is the most critical part of
modern Christians teaching, they also believe that with grace from God will allow
them to get to heaven, not by electing process but by observing good deeds.
Evangelical Methodist are very strict of their religious practice, if a person ever

Rudolf Diesel And The Invention Of The Diesel Engine
Rudolf Diesel is an infamous German innovator, mainly known for the invention of
the Diesel engine, which was named after him. However, Rudolf was not actually
born in Germany but in Paris, France on March 18th, 1858 and was the second of
three children. His parents emigrated from Bavaria to become leather goods
manufacturers; their drive and creativity would ultimately spark Rudolf s passion
for inventing. The Diesel family was forced to move out of Paris due to the Franco
Prussian war in 1870. While the Diesel family settled in England, Rudolf s parents
figured it would be best to send Rudolf to Germany with his aunt and uncle so he
could attend a private school where his uncle taught mathematics. Rudolf
demonstrated an inquisitive nature and thirst for knowledge from an early age,
however his parents did not encourage this. They would much rather see Rudolf dive
into the work force rather than pursuing an education. After finishing his basic
education at the top of the class, Rudolf applied and was accepted into the Industrial
School of Augsburg with a scholarship (Bellis, 2015).
After graduating in 1880 and with a few years of work experience under his belt, he
began to develop a steam engine using ammonia vapour. The results of this
experiment were disastrous as during testing the engine exploded and nearly killed
him. In 1893, Rudolf published a paper with designs of an engine based on the
Carnot cycle; this created the foundation for the Diesel engine. Throughout
Sea Otters Conclusion
Otter s scientific name is Lutrinae. The Sea Otters are the most common name
known, they live in fresh or salt water depending on their species. Some Otters live
in extremely cold habitats and tend to be active during the night. The Otters
population has been extremely low since the 1970 s when they were hunted for fur
trade, but because of the International Fur Seal Treaty of 1911 many attacks have
decreasing. Otters population has not been reaching its full potential because of four
main reasons; fur trade still exists today, competition on seafood, pollution and
global warming, food limitation, and oil spills have become a major factor in the
lives of these sea creatures.
Although the global organization on fur trade has passed the law regarding Otter
endangerment, many hunters still hunt them for there fur. It all started in the 1700s
1800s when the American Indians started the fur trade. Now today those hunters still
exist using fishing gear to trap the endangered species and sell them for their fur. The
Otter population is still trying to recover since the 18 century with hundreds of
thousands to millions otters being captured for there fur. In the 1970s the Marine
Mammal Protection and Endangered Species Act included the Otters into the
organization, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Global warming is causing many places to become hot where they should be cold
which is causing the water to become warmer than usually which in some cases for
Otters is a good thing but for other species that have habitats in the cold water can
cause increase in disease and infections within the Otters. Oil spills are the number
one threat to otters because after an otter s fur has been exposed to oil there fur soon
because hypothermic. Which causes their body level to drop because the fur turns to
a mat texture which leads to their fur not being able to insulate their body keeping it

Thus, after redistribution we have new cycle time to be 48 secs. And the efficiency

Recommendations
The problem eventually boils down to the cost trade off between: a little extra
working hours and setting up a new line.
Scenario 1 Extra working time * Post the redistribution of tasks into workstations
there is increase in production per shift. Now the increase in demand will be
equalled by this increased efficiency with an extra time of .35 hours per shift. *
Thus, we do not have to get a new assembly line to combat the extra demand for the
time being (next two months). * Thus no extra shift is needed.
Scenario 2 New assembly Line * With a new line installed, we would be able to
expand for the future. Now with the bottleneck cycle time impossible to come down
by rearranging, the only option of expanding would be by building a new assembly
line. * This would have a high setup cost, but to ensure to be ready for the increasing
demand and to not lose out on any opportunity cost due to sudden spikes it
Epic of Beowulf
Contradictory Christian Elements in Beowulf
In Beowulf the Christian element, which coexists alongside the pagan or heathen,
sometimes in a seemingly contradictory fashion, is many faceted.
Certainly the Christian element seems to be too deeply interwoven in the text for us
to suppose that it is due to additions made by scribes at a time when the poem had
come to be written down. The Christian element had to be included by the original
poet or by minstrels who recited it in later times. The extent to which the Christian
element is present varies in different parts of the poem. In the last portion (2200

enables the poet to communicate his Christian vision of pagan heroic life. (Bloom 2).
Additonally, earlier in the poem, the Danes, when under extreme pressure from
Grendel, reverted to Satan worship:
At times they prepared sacrifice in temples,
war idol offerings, said the old words aloud,
that the great soul slayer might bring some comfort
in their country s disaster. Such was their custom,
the hope of the heathen; they remembered Hell
in their deepest thoughts. They knew not the Lord,
the Judge of our deeds, were ignorant of God,
knew not how to worship our Protector above,
the King of Glory (175ff)
The minstrels catechesis seems poor because their allusions to the church and to the
Bible are quite indistinct, vague, indefinete, thus reflecting a vague knowledge of
Christianity on their
Ancient Egyptian Art And Art Essay
Ancient Egyptian sculpture was influential for the time and as well as today
through many methods including various sculpture and pottery ranging from
colossal obelisks to tiny pieces of pottery. Egyptian developments in sculpture and
pottery show aspects of religion, the spreading of their culture, and advanced
design. Egyptian sculptures was influenced by their religion through many
methods. One of these methods were the obelisks, there happened to be specific
rules for them as they were after all designed for the kings or queens of that time.
According to Encyclopedia britannica an obelisk has All four sides of the obelisk s
shaft are embellished with hieroglyphs that characteristically include religious
dedications, usually to the sun god, and commemorations of the rulers. ( Obelisk ).
The obelisk was one of the main forms that the people connected with their gods and
the amazing craftsmanship that went into the design of the statue. Also, as the
pharaohs were classified as gods among men , the sculptures dedicated to them were
believed to hold special power towards those pharaohs, especially during the time of
the Old Kingdom. Throughout Egyptian history, the statuary of royals has had a firm
funerary grounding. This is definitely true for the Old Kingdom, as it was still
strongly believed the statute could hold divine power ( Royal Statuary through Old
and Middle Kingdom Egypt) This also shows the worship around objects being that
there was a possibility of
Analysis Of The Decline Of Radicalism By Daniel J.
Boorstin
Blood for Blood The exchange of opinions is not always a pleasant experience.
Conventionally, such exchanges lead to debates and arguments. Although the side
with more supporters may seem morally correct, the minority is the component of
change, risking everything to push their ideas through, even if it results in violence.
In an excerpt from The Decline of Radicalism, Daniel J. Boorstin emphasizes the
dichotomy between dissent and disagreement. According to Boorstin, disagreement
expresses a differing opinion that may promote debate, whereas dissenting places the
dissenters into the minority. Boorstin also claims that disagreement is beneficial to
democracy, while dissension is cancerous. Boorstin s assertion is heavily flawed;

Anton Chekhov Research Paper
Anton Chekhov was one of the most well known and respected Russian authors to
ever live. He is well known for his literary plays. For example, The Cherry Orchard
was considered by many people to be the greatest play. But like most things in life
hard work and deduction have to pave the road to success. before everything, he
had a beginning. Chekhov s grandfather was the person who bought Chekhov s
freedom; The grandfather was a serf. Chekhov was born in a small town called
Taganrog where his father owned a small grocery business. After the grocery
business went bankrupt, Chekhov stayed in Taganrog to finish his education while
his family moved to Moscow in 1876. Chekhov then left Taganrog after he finished
his studies in 1879.
The Cherry Orchard was mainly a drama and a tragic play. Chekhov s interests and
participation in the theater has its origins in his school days in Taganrog.
Translation of Russian plays are usually complex and have their boundaries.

He mostly focused on plays, short stories, novellas, nonfiction, and one novel: The
Shooting Party (1884). Anton Chekhov s short stories included The Lady with the
Dog , that many people have called the greatest short story every written. In the
early part of his career, he mastered the art of one act plays and produced some fine
pieces. In 1888, he wrote a story, The Bear , in which a creditor pursues a young
widow, but later proposes marriage to her after being impressed that she s agreed to
fight a duel with him. In 1889, he wrote The Wedding , which also has a very nice
story attached to it, and became an instant hit amongst his
Facing Death in Tuesdays with Morrie, the author, Mitch
Albom
Through society as a civilization we are constantly being reminded of death. In
Tuesdays with Morrie, the author, Mitch Albom, conveys the story of his professor,
Morrie Schwartz, whom is dealing with a life threatening disease. In his life Mitch
is so caught up materialistic possessions that he begins to lose focus on the true
meaning in life. After this realization Mitch comes in contact with Morrie and writes
down on a piece of paper a list, death, fear, aging, greed, marriage, family, society,
forgiveness, and a meaningful life. (66) This list signifies different life lessons that
Mitch knew of, but seemed to have forgotten. The first lesson on the list was death.
Through society, as a civilization, we are constantly being reminded of death. With
these constant reminders we have had to understand that death is a natural
occurrence, but have we actually ever come to terms with the concept of death?
Morrie, society, and my own outlook on the concept of death all have different
features that together could form a better understanding of death. When symptoms
arose and a diagnosis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis(ASL) was given, Morrie had
basically accepted that his fate was going to indeed result in death. He was an
extremely philosophical character that spoke with words of meaning, whether you
noticed it or not to, almost like every sentence or phrase he said were carefully
thought through. Morrie said, It s not contagious, you know. Death is as natural as life.
The United States Involvement During The Vietnam War
Though out history, American has had its hand in conflict with other countries. Some
of those conflicts have turned out into wars. Looking back at America s track record
with war, America has a worthy past of having its citizen s support. Obviously the
two World Wars we not controversial. The United States in the Korean War
was
criticized, fairly, for its strategy, but the need to defend South Korea was never
questioned. In only the Vietnam War was the United Statesvery participation

it happened, and better yet, should have it happened. This paper will discuss the
United States involvement in the Vietnam War, by asking the simple question,
Should have the Untied States gotten involved into the first place. This paper will
prove that in fact, America should have not gotten involved with the Vietnam War.
The Vietnam War took place in between 1947 1975. It consisted of North Vietnam
trying to make South Vietnam a communism government. The United States later
joined this conflict because of the stress North Vietnam was putting to South Vietnam
to become a government that America did not want. The main reason why America
joined was because of a theory called the Domino Effect. America and Russia were
going through what has been dubbed the Cold War. The Domino Effect is the theory
that communism will spread form one country to another. United states does not want
this because our
Pros And Cons Of Exclusionary Rule
SUPPORT FOR THE EXCLUSIONARY RULE First, supporters for the continued
use of the exclusionary rule maintain that its ability to protect a citizen from
unreasonable search and seizures should not be neglected. By protecting individuals
from unreasonable search and seizures, this law serves to uphold a citizen s privacy
and basic constitutional rights. For example, if a law enforcement officer enters a
house to search for a suspect without a warrant, any evidence obtained through that
search which does not have to do with that particular crime/suspect may not be used
in court. Additionally, they claim that this rule serves as a deterrent against police
misconduct. Since this rule doesn t allow for illegally obtained evidence to be used
in court, they believe that law enforcement officials will be discouraged from
conducting unreasonable search and seizures because the evidence obtained from
these searches would not be able to be used in court. Without the exclusionary rule,
law enforcement officials, as well as anyone else, could easily manufacture false
evidence or use illegally obtained evidence to be submitted in court. This kind of
corruptive police behavior could potentially result in innocent victims being locked
away. While others claim, that by not excluding this illegally obtained evidence, the
court is participating in illegal activity which may result in the integrity of our justice
system to be compromised.

Disadvantages And Disadvantages Of Coal Energy
In Ohio, the type of energy we use are coal, natural gas, and nuclear. While these
assets are discovered normally in the earth and create a lot of power, nonrenewable
take a long time to form a shape, and there is a restricted supply accessible for
individuals to use for power era. Motor vehicles and transportation, food, beverage,
and tobacco items; manufactured metals and hardware generation likewise make
significant commitments to the state s total output. Renewable resources including
hydropower, wind, biomass and sun based vitality are likewise used to create power,
however frequently on a littler scale. These assets are promptly accessible in nature
and can be renewed generally quickly.
Coal energy is a nonrenewable energy, which means that this is a type of energy
that we cannot re create in sunglitz and Moore study (as cited in Disadvantages of
Using Coal to Produce Electricity). Coal energy is used for the formation of power
to control mechanical or producing plants and even to control our electronics at
home. Many industrial plants or manufacturing plants use coal energy to generate
electricity because coal energy is an affordable source of energy in sunglitz and
Moore study (as cited in Disadvantages of Using Coal to Produce Electricity).
Advantages of using coal as energy are; it is an affordable source of energy, it burns
easily then other energy sources. Some disadvantages of coal are that coal energy
produces large amount of carbon dioxide, which leads to
Play-Based Learning Analysis
As you drive past a playground, you hear the laughter and loud voices of children.
In that exact moment, you may not be aware that they are in fact developing crucial
skills that will be utilized throughout their entire life. It seems as if something so
simple as playing with peers is incapable of occupying such influential power.
Conversely, playbased learningpresents endless possibilities and enhancements for
children. Encouraging mental growth and providing an environment to do so at a
young age is imperative. Children learn in various ways, but play based learning
tends to produce higher motivation, as well as implant vital life skills because it
provides opportunity for indirect instruction. Education is commonly viewed as

The many different types of play and components that can be shifted around, provide
a variety of beneficial experiences for the kids. They are enjoying this learning
process and are unaware of the impact it will have on their current and future lives.
Finding one method of instruction that hits all of the developmental goals is difficult,
but play based learning touches on social, emotion, cognitive, and even physical. This
method of teaching is a perfect match for the youth because of the timing in which
they are obtaining symbolic thinking processes. Play based learning is a successful
strategy that prepares children for the future by embedding essential life

Essay On Out Patient Appointment
The prevalence of missed out patient appointment among patients being managed for
psychiatric disorders varies between studies conducted in different countries, and with
different study designs. Centorrino and co researchers63 evaluated attendance at an
adult psychiatric out patient clinic at a teaching hospital in Massachusetts between
April and June 1997. Within that period 896 appointments were scheduled for 62
patients, and a missed appointment rate of 9.3% was obtained. It was not stated if the
patients each had the same number of appointments within the study period. This
study was also not specific for any diagnostic group of patients. The patients had
different psychiatric diagnoses (major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, substance
use disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophreniaand
schizoaffective disorder). It has been shown that patterns of clinic attendance vary
between groups of patients with different psychiatric diagnoses.64,65 Also, since the

The rates of non attendance to the initial appointment (for new patients) or the first
appointment within the study period (for old patients) were 36% and 40%
respectively. Although the response rate of study participants was relatively low
(61%), and there may be limitations to generalizing the results to other geographical
locations, inner city areas have been shown to be areas of high psychiatric morbidity,
with inadequate mental health services at the community level.66 This is similar to
what obtains in psychiatric out patient settings in urban areas in developing countries

Martin Luther King Jr. s Letters From Birmingham City

In the middle of a civil rights movement, Martin Luther King Jr. sat in a jail cell and
wrote a letter on the margins of a newspaper. King writes to the eight other
clergymen about his bittersweet, but optimistic views on this topic. The letter Letters
from Birmingham City Jail explains how his actions that had him condemned and
put in jail were justified and why they were the right things to do. King demonstrates
that his peaceful protests were just and fair through his tone, logos and pathos. King

describes in great detail the horrific events that occur from racism and segregation.
He draws in the Negro people by comforting them and condoling them telling them

The Planet Of The Slums Summary
6.1
In The Planet of the Slums, Mike Davis using the definition made by the US
Department of Labor, describes slums as an area of dirty back streets, especially
when inhabited by squalid and criminal population (Davis: 22). Brasilmar Ferreira
Nunes and Leticia Veloso, similarly explain the definition of favelas , as a
marginalized urban space (Nunes Veloso: 225). In other words, a slumis an
underprivileged, underdevelopment, and often dirty and overpopulated
neighborhood. I personally prefer Nunes and Veloso s definition of favelas to the
US Department s definition of a slum. I agree that a slum is looked at as dirty and
can contain a criminal like population, yet I disagree that these slums are always in
the back streets. As ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In certain circumstances they are out in the open, as also seen in Seattle and in
Downtown LA. Furthermore, in both Nunes and Veloso and Davis arguments, slums
or favelas are not always just homes to impoverished peoples. Nunes and Veloso point
out that favelas commonly enough encompass more people that do have the means to
live elsewhere and choose not to due to cultural or emotional ties to their homes in
these slums.
6.2
According to Mike Davis, there are multiple factors and actors responsible for the
growth of slums across the world. These factors include corruption, exploitation, and
a lack of management in most scenarios. The actors responsible for these expansions
are the government, the State, landlords, and sometimes the country as a whole.
Davis explains that this

A Woman s Best Quality Eggs
A woman is at her most fertile when she is in the ages 20 to 24. Infertility is
generally defined as the inability to conceive after one year of unprotected sex. At
the age of 30 fertility starts to gradually decline, the chance of successfully
conceiving each cycle drops from 22% to just 6 to 8% between 30 and 40 years of
age. This big drop in fertility is due to the ageing of a female s eggs. When born
women have around a million eggs, by the time they reach their mid thirties this
number will have dropped to around 25,000. Unfortunately, a woman s best quality
eggs will likely have been used up when younger, meaning the ones left over are of
a worse quality and therefore less fertile. Women also release fewer eggs when
they get older. In terms of successful IVF treatment (which is more often used by
older women), for women under 35 years the success rate is around 27%, but for
women over 40 years old that drops to as low as 6%. The graph to the left shows
the general trend in the drop in fertility, backing up what was said earlier, and
further backed up by Benjamin Younger, the executive director of the American
Society for Reproductive Medicine. He states that fertility continues to decline after
the age of 35 but takes a nosedive at the age of 38. Clearly fertility is something to
be worried about, and looking at these stats it is well worth getting pregnant younger
in order to have a better chance of getting pregnant and also having good quality eggs
still. Health

Raising children with ADHD, can be very challenging for parents and the child

it is boys than girls. Even though the cause is not clear, there are many disorders
that do not have underlying diseases. Researchers say that genetics may have a
factor but as well as environmental factors can contribute to it. Summary ADD and
ADHD are both labels that describes symptoms. Some symptoms may include:
Often fidgets with hands and feet or squirms in seat Difficulty remaining in seat
when required to do so Easily distracted, doesn t listen to what is being said to them.
Difficulty waiting to take turns, playing quietly, Often blurts out answers, following
instruction, and completing task (Jaquith, 1996) Children may display some or all,
but not limited to the symptoms listed above. Developmental problems that may
occur can be identified, addressed and often eliminated. (Jaquith, 1996) ADHD is a
major public health concern, around 5 million children and adults were diagnosed
with the disorder by the end of the 20th century. (National Institutes of Health, 2000)
ADHD is associated with personality disorders which are not diagnosed in children
because their personality is not fully formed until adolescence. ADHD is considered
an antisocial personality disorder. (Bain, 1991 p30) Diagnosing ADD or ADHD

The Importance Of Technology In Education
In the last several years, college, administrators, faculty, and staff have observed the
growing number of adult students enrolling in classes. Since these nontraditional
students have recently come back, they are struggling more with technology
dominant classrooms compared to their traditional counterparts. These institutions
have initiated methods to work with this problem, such as implementing beginner
computer courses and encouraging them to be proactive in practicing their new found
skills. Contemporary educationresearch has observed numerous obstacles that adult
student encounter returning to school. There is a learning gap that educators must
close between traditional and adult students. While adult students bring valuable life
experience and practical skills, they lack a background in modern programs and
navigating access to technology tools. Working together hand in hand adult students
and instructions through training in technology and time management, adult students
will have a better outlook on achieving their goals and dreams. One of the most
imposing aspects returning adult learners face is the significant role technology
plays in classrooms today. Computers have changed considerably since many of
these individuals have been enrolled in school and are much more integrated into
education overall. While society, in general, is very dependent on computers
introduced into the workplace, when it comes to how they are being used in regards
to school it is a whole

was the drive and reason to why they migrated to North America and the basis for

They decided the question to be asked was Does the word person in section 24 of
the BNA Act include female persons? (Section 15, 2004). Unfortunately, in 1928, the
Supreme Court of Canada answers this question with no; women weren t persons.
The judges of the Supreme Court stated that when the BNA Act was written,
women weren t allowed vote or run for office and the British House of Lords had
no females (Alberta Online Encyclopedia, 2004). Therefore, women didn t count as
persons . However, the Famous Five weren t satisfied with the answer they got and

the decision made by the Supreme Court of Canada with the support of Prime

as persons . They stated that the constitution is a living tree and should change

The Word-Pregnancy Model Of The Logogen Model
Word recognition is the reader s ability to correctly identify words without needing
contextual aid. People tend to recognize words faster if they are more frequent (i.e.
more common in their everyday language), a psychological phenomenon known as
the word frequency effect. An example of a high frequency word is the , whereas
promiscuous , for instance, is a low frequency word. Similarly, people tend to be
better at correctly recognizing letters within words compared to isolated letters and
to orthographically illegal strings (i.e. nonwords, such as SUT ). This is known as
the word superiority effect.
Many models attempt to explain the different phenomena that arose as a result of
studying reading. The logogen model (Morton, 1969) aims to explain the word
frequency effect in terms of low or high thresholds. Each logogen contains a number
of characteristics about given words, such as meaning, appearance and sound. A
logogen will be activated by psychological stimuli or contextual information that
triggers the most characteristics. When the activation level rises above the threshold
level, that word is selected. As there is no comparison between logogens, more than
one response can be triggered by one stimulus. High frequency words (those most
commonly used), have a lower threshold, meaning that they require less perceptual
power to recognize and decode from the mental lexicon, than low frequency words.
Once the threshold is fired, the meaning

Comparison of Philip LarkinВґs High Windows and
Seamus...
Philip Larkin (1922 1895) was an English novelist and poet, in 1955 he became a
Liberian at the University of Hull. He would stay on working at the University
until his death in 1895. During the first few months of his time working at the
University he stayed in various bedsits, after this he moved into a flat which
appears to be the same flat in which he wrote his poem High Windows which was
first published in 1974. Clive James commented on this poem by saying: The total
impression of High Windows is of despair made beautiful. 1 The speaker of High
Windows is most likely Larkin, although he is hiding behind a mask, not truly

Solution Essay. Business paper: Problem solving essay examples

  • 1. Solution Essay Crafting an essay on the topic of "Solution" can be a challenging endeavor, requiring a thoughtful and analytical approach. The difficulty lies in the need to not only identify a problem but also propose viable solutions. It demands a deep understanding of the issue at hand, thorough research, and the ability to critically evaluate potential remedies. To begin with, one must delve into the complexities of the problem, unraveling its layers to comprehend its nuances fully. This initial phase often involves extensive research to gather relevant data and perspectives. Juggling various sources while discerning credible information adds another layer of difficulty. The essay must present a comprehensive overview of the problem, making it accessible to readers who may not be familiar with the subject matter. Once the problem is articulated, the essay shifts focus to the challenging task of proposing solutions. Crafting effective solutions requires a blend of creativity, critical thinking, and a firm grasp of the topic. It's not just about suggesting quick fixes but offering well-reasoned, practical approaches that stand up to scrutiny. Additionally, one must address potential counterarguments and demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed solutions. The structure of the essay itself poses a challenge, as the writer must seamlessly weave together the problem, its intricacies, and the proposed solutions in a coherent and engaging manner. Transitioning between these elements without losing the reader's attention requires skillful writing and organizational acumen. In conclusion, composing a Solution Essay involves navigating through a maze of information, addressing a multifaceted problem, and devising practical solutions while maintaining clarity and coherence. It is a task that demands not only writing proficiency but also a deep understanding of the subject matter and the ability to think critically. For those who find themselves grappling with the complexities of such essays, assistance is available. Similar essays and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net, a platform dedicated to providing support and guidance in the realm of academic writing. Solution Essay Solution Essay

With land, sea, air and space in the background, warfare has entered a fifth domain: cyber. In this position paper, using a pro and con format, the debate on whether or not the Department of Defense (DoD) should create a new, independent branch for cyber will be discussed. To do this, the following will examine both sides of debate by highlighting two main points: the elimination of duplication of effort and the intensive resources required to make the transition. Finally, a look into a larger talent pool will be explored to highlight the largest benefit of creating a new Cyber Force. It is this paper s stance that the DoD should create a separate structure in order to meet the new domain s unique demands. 2. To better understand this topic, a brief background on cyber warrants a closer look. President Obama concluded as early as 2009 that the nation s digital infrastructure of networks and computers that we depend on should be treated as a strategic national asset.1 With the former head of security at Microsoft acting as the cybersecurity tsar for the White House and General Keith Alexander, Director of the National Security Agency (NSA), leading Cyber Command (CYBERCOM), the protection of the nation s infrastructure is finally being treated like a national security priority.2 This shift brings with it a debate on how to structure the US assets to realize its

The reason why some historians believe that the Treaty of Versaille was the root cause of economic failure is because of the war guilt clause, Article 231. ARTICLE 231 The Allied and Associated Governments affirm and Germany accepts the responsibility of Germany and her allies for causing all the loss and damage to which the Allied and Associated Governments and their nationals have been subjected as a consequence of the war imposed upon them by the aggression of Germany and her allies. Lastly, the IMF s answers to the majority of economic crises, such as the one that laid waste to East Asia (pp. 89) had negative outcomes, deteriorating the conditions in these territories. In particular, raising the interest rates and enforcing financial austerity were burdens for the continent s economic growth. However, Rudolf was not actually born in Germany but in Paris, France on March 18th, 1858 and was the second of three children. His parents emigrated from Bavaria to become leather goods manufacturers; their drive and creativity would ultimately spark Rudolf s passion for inventing. The Diesel family was forced to move out of Paris due to the Franco Prussian war in 1870. While the Diesel family settled in England, Rudolf s parents figured it would be best to send Rudolf to Germany with his aunt and uncle so he could attend a private school where his uncle taught mathematics. Rudolf demonstrated an inquisitive nature and thirst for knowledge from an early age, however his parents did not encourage this. They would much rather see Rudolf dive into the work force rather than pursuing an education. After finishing his basic education at the top of the class, Rudolf applied and was accepted into the Industrial School of Augsburg with a scholarship (Bellis, 2015). After graduating in 1880 and with a few years of work experience under his belt, he began to develop a steam engine using ammonia vapour. The results of this experiment were disastrous as during testing the engine exploded and nearly killed him. In 1893, Rudolf published a paper with designs of an engine based on the Carnot cycle; this created the foundation for the Diesel engine. Throughout

  • 23. Pros And Cons Of Exclusionary Rule SUPPORT FOR THE EXCLUSIONARY RULE First, supporters for the continued use of the exclusionary rule maintain that its ability to protect a citizen from unreasonable search and seizures should not be neglected. By protecting individuals from unreasonable search and seizures, this law serves to uphold a citizen s privacy and basic constitutional rights. For example, if a law enforcement officer enters a house to search for a suspect without a warrant, any evidence obtained through that search which does not have to do with that particular crime/suspect may not be used in court. Additionally, they claim that this rule serves as a deterrent against police misconduct. Since this rule doesn t allow for illegally obtained evidence to be used in court, they believe that law enforcement officials will be discouraged from conducting unreasonable search and seizures because the evidence obtained from these searches would not be able to be used in court. Without the exclusionary rule, law enforcement officials, as well as anyone else, could easily manufacture false evidence or use illegally obtained evidence to be submitted in court. This kind of corruptive police behavior could potentially result in innocent victims being locked away. • 33. A Woman s Best Quality Eggs A woman is at her most fertile when she is in the ages 20 to 24. Infertility is generally defined as the inability to conceive after one year of unprotected sex. At the age of 30 fertility starts to gradually decline, the chance of successfully conceiving each cycle drops from 22% to just 6 to 8% between 30 and 40 years of age. This big drop in fertility is due to the ageing of a female s eggs. When born women have around a million eggs, by the time they reach their mid thirties this number will have dropped to around 25,000. Unfortunately, a woman s best quality eggs will likely have been used up when younger, meaning the ones left over are of a worse quality and therefore less fertile. Women also release fewer eggs when they get older. In terms of successful IVF treatment (which is more often used by older women), for women under 35 years the success rate is around 27%, but for women over 40 years old that drops to as low as 6%. The graph to the left shows the general trend in the drop in fertility, backing up what was said earlier, and further backed up by Benjamin Younger, the executive director of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He states that fertility continues to decline after the age of 35 but takes a nosedive at the age of 38. Clearly fertility is something to be worried about, and looking at these stats it is well worth getting pregnant younger in order to have a better chance of getting pregnant and also having good quality eggs still. • 41. The Word-Pregnancy Model Of The Logogen Model Word recognition is the reader s ability to correctly identify words without needing contextual aid. People tend to recognize words faster if they are more frequent (i.e. more common in their everyday language), a psychological phenomenon known as the word frequency effect. An example of a high frequency word is the , whereas promiscuous , for instance, is a low frequency word. Similarly, people tend to be better at correctly recognizing letters within words compared to isolated letters and to orthographically illegal strings (i.e. nonwords, such as SUT ). This is known as the word superiority effect. Many models attempt to explain the different phenomena that arose as a result of studying reading. The logogen model (Morton, 1969) aims to explain the word frequency effect in terms of low or high thresholds. Each logogen contains a number of characteristics about given words, such as meaning, appearance and sound. A logogen will be activated by psychological stimuli or contextual information that triggers the most characteristics. When the activation level rises above the threshold level, that word is selected. As there is no comparison between logogens, more than one response can be triggered by one stimulus. High frequency words (those most commonly used), have a lower threshold, meaning that they require less perceptual power to recognize and decode from the mental lexicon, than low frequency words. Once the threshold is fired, the meaning

During the first few months of his time working at the University he stayed in various bedsits, after this he moved into a flat which appears to be the same flat in which he wrote his poem High Windows which was first published in 1974. Clive James commented on this poem by saying: The total impression of High Windows is of despair made beautiful. 1 The speaker of High Windows is most likely Larkin, although he is hiding behind a mask, not truly confirming his identity as he narrates on what he sees looking out of his window.
