Interview A Teacher : An Interview With A Teacher
For this assignment we had to interview a teacher. The teacher I chose was Mrs. Gilbert. She is a
special education counselor and algebra teacher. She has been a huge influence on my life. I can not
wait to share the things I have learned from her in this interview. First question was what made you
a teacher? She started to explain that in Sophomore year of high school she was signed up as a peer
helper tutor which means she help special needs children with their homework. According to Mrs.
Gilbert that after two days in that environment she knew that was her calling and what she need to
do for the rest of her life. As she kept sharing her story she told me that not only did she know it was
he calling, but it was also a place in her life where she could make a difference in this world. We
may not always see the change but, when others we have help achieve we can see the difference we
have made in their live. Most exciting part of being a teacher was a very impressive answer from

There are three main messages in Longfellow's, "Psalm of Life". Have you ever really thought about
what Longfellow is trying to reveal through this text. This poem teaches us an abundance of lessons
and gives different perspectives on life situations. He teaches about life and the way we should live.
This poem gives insight to things that you wouldn't normally think of and makes you think deeply
into the purpose of life. There are three primary messages in Longfellow's Psalm of Life.
In the poem, Psalm of Life by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow shows us that we have to take care of
our bodies but we have to take care of our souls too. He states, "For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem." (Psalm of Life 3–4) I believe that to take care of your soul
means to do things that make you happy. Personally, the way I "fill my soul" is through a lot of little
things. We have to find things that make us happy and do them frequently. Being happy isn't about
being perfect but instead it's about having people and things in our life that make life a little better.
In a lot of situations, we have to do what is best for ourselves and so that is also a way we take care
of our souls is by doing what is best for us. Another way we do this is by making all of the
memories we can in life and enjoying as much of it as we can. In ways, life can be really hard

speaking there is no "purpose" to life besides reproduction and survival of the species. We live, we

Living a happy life is the goal that all humans strive for. All our actions point us to a direction that
we believe will make us happy. However, we must make the right decisions to live a truly happy
life. Our decisions we make are based on the desires we have. We can desire
Human beings have free will to make chooses in life. Life is filled with decisions, that we make
every day rather we are aware of them or not. Decisions are much harder than just choosing from
right and wrong, because both choices have consequences we desire. We must choose what desires
we give focus to and choose what we worship. Augustine in the book On Free Choice of the Will,
writes about the different types of goods and how are decisions are based on desire of those goods.
David Foster Wallace also focuses on our decisions being based on what we worship in the "Kenyon

In Cradle to Cradle by William McDonough and Michael Braungart, the two authors take into great
detail by explaining the "cradle–to–grave" manufacturing system. The system explains every step of
a product's life from the creation to the disposal of the product. It is important to learn about this
