  capabilities such as geocoding and geotagging
  are used to enable additional social dynamics.
  User-submitted location data or geolocation
  techniques can allow social networks to connect
  and coordinate users with local people or events
  that match their interests.

  • 6. Blogging Alternatives Tumblr • Short-form blog platform that allows users to post text, images, videos, links, quotes and audio. Posting can be done via computer, phone or email. Users can follow other users, or choose to make their tumblelog private.
