Humanitarian Intervention In The Holocaust
What does 200,000, 800,000 and 11 million mean to you? Anyone seeing these numbers simply just
sees them as a random group of figures; however, to the victims of former Yugoslavia, Rwanda, and
the Holocausts, these are the number of civilian casualties as a result of genocide, or the methodical
massacre of a sizeable group of individuals. Throughout history, there have been several examples of
genocide. In some instances, those affected received aid or a form of intervention, while others did
not. I believe humanitarian intervention is permissible, especially in the cases of Yugoslavia, Rwanda,
and victims of the Holocausts. When it comes to saving innocent lives, protecting human rights, and
preserving the state, humanitarian intervention ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After Josip Broz Tito, the communist president of Yugoslavia, died in 1980, citizens of Yugoslavia
took advantage of attempting to declare their independence (History of Bosnian Genocide). A man by
the name of Slobodan Milosevic soon came into power and further fueled the tension within
Yugoslavia. In 1992, Bosnia, following the footsteps of Croatia and Slovenia for independence, was
home for different ethnic Muslim groups; with in the same year, Serbia declared war on Bosnia in
hopes to claim the land as their own (History of Bosnian Genocide). By using military force and
concentration camps, Serbia was attempting to eradicate this ethnic group using genocide. Just like the
Holocausts, individual rights were being violated and they were being dehumanized. As a result and
stated in our class text, the International Criminal Court (1998) was formed to holding state leaders
accountable for human rights violations. Humanitarian intervention would have been permissible in
this instance because, again, it would save people s lives. The violent dismemberment of Yugoslavia
has added the term ethnic cleansing to the global vocabulary (Denich). Serbia was trying to
completely erase the Bosnian ethnic

The success of the movie Suicide Squad has really made the super bad character Harley Quinn
popular. Formerly only those who read comics would have been aware of this is crazy Joker obsessed
lady but now thanks to Margot Robbie s portrayal of her she is a household name.
There are too few female villains in the comic book world and none of them are quite as crazy and
sexy as Harley. We know that is her outfit is set to be a Halloween favorite but what about accessories
for the more serious fan? How about a Harley Quinn tattoo? Today we ll be looking at designs
inspired by the comics and by Margot Robbie s character in Suicide Squad.

With The Joker Cartoon style Harley tattoo s could also include the Joker. Other stylized versions
include two playing cards with each of their faces on a card.
Colors To Consider For Your Tattoo
Harley Quinn inspired tattoos can range from small hearts and diamonds up to large portrait style
designs. Smaller tattoos can be done in black or solid color reds and purples are quite popular choices
along with red and black combinations.
Larger tattoos can look good in black ink with shading but she is such a colorful character that these
really look best in full color especially for realistic portrait designs.
Placement Ideas For Your Tattoo
While Harley has some tattoos on her face this should probably be avoided rather use temporary
tattoos to complete your look. You could rather place small diamond and heart tattoos on your fingers,
behind your ears or on your legs. Other designs look good on the upper arm, forearm (especially for
diamond patterns), lower back, shoulder, and

The Atomic Energy Of Canada Limited
Brief History (MICHAEL TABB)
Merriam Webster has defined reliability as: the extent to which an experiment, test, or measuring
procedure yields the same results on repeated trials .[1] As technology advances, so does the use of
computing and software in health services. With the onset of cancer, Atomic Energy of Canada
Limited (AECL) created a medical linear accelerator known as the Therac 25. The machines
responsibility is to accelerate and increase the energy of electrically charge atomic particles by the
introduction of an electric field focused by magnets. These accelerators are used to treat cancer
patients with radiation to remove malignant cancerous cells and tissue. The use of the machines
caused radiation overdoses between 1985 and 1987 causing loss of life and limb for patients in six
accidents.[2]
These six accidents began 3 June 1985 with a sixty one year old woman receiving her twelfth
treatment at Kennestone Regional Oncology Center in Marietta, Georgia. She had her breast removed
and lost the use of a shoulder and arm after feeling a tremendous rush of heat and red hot sensation ,
while receiving follow up treatment for a malignant tumor removed from her breast in that facility
(Porrelo, A.). The second accident occurred at the Ontario Cancer Foundation clinic in Canada on 26
July 1985 where a forty year old patient was in receipt of her twenty fourth Therac 25 treatment.
During the treatment, the machine issued an H tilt error message. This prompted the

Mr. M Rhetorical Analysis
Try to imagine what it is like to be a black person, choking inside with rage and frustration, bitterness,
and then to discover that one of your own kind is a traitor, has betrayed you to those responsible for
the suffering and misery of your family, of your people (74). While in a conversation with Isabel,
Thami tries to justify the Comrades actions in killing Mr. M. This quote illustrates his bitter hurt and
despair at/after the discovery of Mr. M s betraying visit to the police. Fugard uses conscientious word
choice, a strong metaphor, and carefully chosen punctuation to make Thami s feelings at the time clear
to the reader. First, the use of intense, vivid words with negative connotations such as rage , bitterness
, and misery at ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It clearly shows his frustration and passion about the conflict at hand. After Mr. M, one of the people
he had trusted the most, betrayed him for an outsider, he felt upset and deceived, yet still remorseful of
his death and therefore not angry. This upset mood continues throughout the rest of the sentence:
describing Mr. M as a traitor and using the vivid nouns suffering and misery all showcase Thami s
tortured attitude toward the situation that had unfolded. However, Fugard not only chooses words
carefully to emphasize this tone, but also uses brilliant fabricated wordplay. In the metaphor choking
inside with rage and frustration , the author yet again displays the overall bitter tone of the sentence.
The word choking bears a negative connotation, as suffocation is extremely unpleasant and sometimes
even life threatening, rendering the victim helpless for a certain amount of time. Therefore, its use
here is unmistakably intensifying the emotions in what Thami is saying in an almost despairing
manner, as if he was pleading for air but not receiving any. Lastly, Fugard wisely chose certain
punctuation to even further get the tone of the sentence across to the reader. In suffering and misery of
your family, of your people , he

Importance Of The Temple Of Heaven
Architecture is something we are observing, living and being in relation every day. However, it seems
that we may only consider the modern architectures constructed nowadays but forget the importance
to appreciate those ancient architectures, especially those ancient Chinese architectures we should be

Bohr Model
Postulates of Dalton s Atomic Theory
The main points of Dalton s atomic theory, an explanation of the structure of matter in terms of
different combinations of very small particles, are given by the following postulates:
1. All matter is composed of indivisible atoms. An atom is an extremely small particle of matter that
retains its identity during chemical reactions.
2. An element is a type of matter composed of only one kind of atom, each atom of a given kind
having the same properties. Mass is one such property. Thus, the atoms of a given element have a
characteristic mass.
3. A compound is a type of matter composed of atoms of two or more elements chemically combined
in fixed proportions. The relative numbers of any two kinds of ... Show more content on

5. It does not predict the relative intensities of spectral lines. 6. The Bohr Model does not explain fine
structure and hyperfine structure in spectral lines. 7. It does not explain the Zeeman Effect.
Main Points of the Bohr Sommerfeld Model: Electrons are revolving around the nucleus not only in
circular paths but also in some electrical paths. These energy gaps are so close that normal machine
cannot visualize them.
We can explain the multiplicity of hydrogen Atom via this model.
According to quantum mechanics, each electron in an atom is described by four different quantum
numbers, three of which (n, l, and ml) specify the wave function that gives the probability of finding
the electron at various points in space. lt; A wave function for an electron in an atom is called an
atomic orbital. An atomic orbital is pictured qualitatively by describing the region of space where
there is high probability of finding the electrons. The atomic orbital so pictured has a definite shape. A
fourth quantum number (ms) refers to a magnetic property of electrons called spin. We first look at
quantum numbers, then at atomic orbitals.
Quantum numbers: Numbers to state the exact position of an electron inside an atom are called
Quantum numbers. 1. Principal Quantum Number (n): this quantum number is the one on which The
energy of an electron in an atom principally depends; it can have any positive value: 1, 2, 3, and so on.

Role Of A Human Resources Department Essay
Role and Function of a Human Resources Department In today s work environment, organizations are
continually seeking an advantage over the competition. One resource to assist with this ambition is to
utilize the human resources (HR) department as a strategic partner in the micro and macro planning of
the organization. This paper will define the role and function while distinguishing the duties and
responsibilities of an effective HR department. Background Ellard Williams, Incorporated (EWI) is a
manufacturing firm employing nearly 11,300 workers (Colorado State University Global Campus,
n.d.). At this time, the firm is experiencing deficiencies in the HR department, which is leading to
ineffective processes and a drop in profits throughout the organization. A strategic analysis revealed a
slump in growth, high turnover rate, underpaid staff, and a loss in profits if all activities remain the
same (n.d.). As a result of the unsuccessful HR department, employee motivation, performance, and
productivity are suffering that is causing production delays and high defect rates (n.d.). Role and
Function The HR professional s function is more than shuffling through applications, inputting data,
and providing reports. Among HR roles, many authors argue that the strategic role is a pivotal one for
HR professionals in today s organization (Mitchell et al, 2013, p. 900). What this means for HR
professionals is they should participate in developmental and organizational

was granted high office by the royal family. When he returned to his native town in Greece, he was
appointed as the Priest of Apollo. He wrote many philosophical essays as well as biographies of
influential people during the times. This particular document was written by Plutarch as a biographical

Pericles shaped his campaigning around pleasing the masses. Thucydides political strategy was to get
all of his supporters to sit together in the assembly. Unfortunately for him, there were not many to
support him against Pericles. Strategically, Pericles gave nearly all of the political power to the people.
This was the reason he was known as the first citizen of democratic Athens by the historian
Thucydides. Purposefully, he was constantly beautifying Athens. As stated by Plutarch, Pericles
constantly provided public pageants, banquets, and processions in the city, entertaining the people like
children with elegant pleasures. He made sure he kept the public happy. Along with elaborate public
displays, Pericles, expanded territories. According to Plutarch, he dispatched 1,000 settlers to the
Chersonese, 500 to Naxos, 250 to Andros, 1,000 to Thrace to make their homes with the Bisaltae, and
others to the new colony named Thurii. This expansion allowed the city to rid itself of idlers and
agitators and raise the standards of the poorest classes . In addition to his great political strategies, one
of the main ways that Pericles gained the adornment of Athenians, and also the greatest criticism from
his adversaries was through the building of several temples and public buildings. His enemies
proposed in the Assembly that other Greeks should have been outraged that the funding

Crispy Hair Synthesis
Abstract
During this experiment, the researcher would chemically lighten hair using hydrogen peroxide and
lightener. Each swatch of hair was kept in foil with the lightening solution for varying increments of
time, 10, 20, and 40 minutes. Once the hair was removed from the lightening solution it will be placed
on a hygrometer, and put into a room for five minutes, one minute with running water. According to

Net Neutrality Analysis
Before this assignment I had no idea what net neutrality was, I m embarrassed to write that confession.
Net Neutrality is the assurance that access to the Web and its content will not be blocked, slowed
down, or sped up depending on where that access is based or who owns the access point(s) (Boswell).
This to me means that the FCC (Federal Communications Commissions) want the internet to be open
to all traffic, or online customers. They don t want companies to be able to block or charge premium
rates for the use of service. This allows all data to be equal and everyone is on the same fast lane of
the road, sort of speck.
The problem with this is that there are companies out that like Netflix s, Verizon and Comcast just to

Essay on Women in Ministry
Women have been involved in Christian ministry since the very beginning of Christianity. It has
declined and risen according to the acceptance of the environment. The two papers addressed in this

women in the modern Pentecostal movement. In response to this decline in women in ministry,
Courtney Stewart gave points which the UPCI should tackle to rectify the situation. In Holy Boldness

The second paper, written by David Norris, focuses mainly on the history of Pentecostal women in
ministry. He gave a brief mention to the emergence of Holiness women preachers, and then fast
forwards to the Pentecostal movement. Because many of the people involved in the Pentecostal
movement had once been a part of the Holiness movement, women were generally accepted as
ministers. However, even here women were relegated to the margins. They took the broken, burnt out,
run down churches that no one else wanted. Many times these women would revitalized a run down
church only to step down, or be shunted aside, so a man could take over as pastor. According to
Norris, at the founding of the UPCI nearly 22% of the licensed ministers were women. This number
has steadily declined over the past 50 years until only 3% of the licensed ministers are women. Norris
gives four possible reasons for this: 1. Because women did not learn how to theologically defend their
position at the beginning of the movement, they do not know how now that the climate has changed to
where they must defend their calling. 2. There were many more denominations involved in the
Pentecostal movement than just the Holiness groups who were not willing to license women. 3. There
are little or no role models who promote women in

The Road is not actually about the world ending either with a bang or a whimper. The novel is about
the journey of an unnamed father and his son in the aftermath of a mysterious unnamed global
catastrophe. It can be read as a cautionary tale about human wickedness and depravity. Their
pilgrimage takes them through a lifeless world, where food can no longer be grown. Physical and
environmental destruction is unleashed by the apocalyptic catastrophe. It is the moral disintegration of
a human species that is now totally focused on biological survival. As the father and the son continued
their journey, the survivors they encounter often appear as the personification of evil. Cannibalism is

companies to communicate with their customers. The call center industry is vast, and rapidly
expanding in terms of both workforce and economic scope. It is estimated that 3% of the U.S. and
U.K. workforce is involved with call centers. In addition the call center industry enjoys a annual

parameters under the system manager s control are the number of trunks available (K + N) and the
number of agents (N). In most contexts the cost of trunk lines is trivial compared to personnel costs,
so in this paper we focus on staffing decisions (N), assuming that K = ∞ for modelling purposes. Thus
busy signals are absent in the models to be considered. The classical M/M/N queueing model, also

Metamorphosis of the Family in Kafka s Metamorphosis In Franz Kafka s Metamorphosis, the nature
of Gregor Samsa s reality changes insignificantly in spite of his drastic physical changes. Gregor s life
before the metamorphosis was limited to working and caring for his family. As a traveling salesman,
Gregor worked long, hard hours that left little time to experience life. He reflects on his life
acknowledging the plague of traveling: the anxieties of changing trains, the irregular, inferior meals,
the ever changing faces, never to be seen again, people with whom one has no chance to be friendly
(Kafka 13). Gregor, working to pay off his family s debt, has resigned himself to a life full of work.

merely as a support system. The tragic fact is that everyone had grown accustomed to it, his family as
much as himself; they took the money gratefully, he gave it willingly but the act was accompanied by
no remarkable effusiveness (Kafka 48). It appears that in the course of his hectic work schedule, he
overlooks that in return for dedication to his family, he remains unloved and unappreciated. Yet
Gregor still believed he had to provide his family with a pleasant, contented, secure life (Emrich 149),
regardless of how they treated him. Gregor s existence before the metamorphosis was much like after

Australia needs to reach an universal agreement so that atmospheric contents of greenhouse gases can
be stabilized at around 450 parts per million of CO2E (Carbon Dioxide Equivalent). The government
has realized that to achieve this global commitment with such action is going to be challenging in the

The permits are mostly auctioned or traded in the secondary market and firms who consider the
permits of high value pay a lot for them. Reducing emissions than buying permits is a convenient
choice for smaller firms. Few other firms are allocated free

Speech On White Privilege
Privilege is a set of unearned benefits given to people who fit into a specific social group .
Any system of privilege be it a family, a workplace, or a society is organized around three basic
principles: dominance, identification, and centeredness .(1)
For example, a system of white privilege, is white dominated. which means the default is for white
people to occupy positions of power . White dominance does not mean that ALL white people are
powerful and it also does not guarantee only success for them or only failure for everybody else. But
the powerful tend to almost always be white, and when a member of a non dominant group occupies a

Taking a Look at Eleanor Roosevelt
Eleanor Roosevelt is one of the most famous First Ladies in history. Although she was awkward and
shy as a child, she married Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and became an influential figure to the world
as well as an inspiration to women everywhere in her own right. Eleanor was more than a president s
wife; she was an eloquent speaker, delegate of the United Nations, and overall an independent woman.
Anna Eleanor Roosevelt was born on October 11, 1884 in New York City. She grew up with a wealthy

parents, Elliott and Ann, were socialites at the top of New York s society. Although her parents were
wealthy, it did not buy them their happiness. Before Eleanor was five, her father broke his ankle while
doing somersaults for the county circus. To reduce the pain of his injury, Elliott began drinking more
heavily. Because of Elliott s moodiness and depression, he set out to find a cure for himself. This
separated him from all of his children, including Eleanor. Without Eleanor s father with her, she
became discouraged. Her only wish was to make her father happy. Not only was Eleanor upset over
Elliott leaving; Anna was as well. Anna was furious with his decisions and started to neglect her
children. Eleanor s education was disregarded, so her mother hired her a tutor. While this was
occurring, Anna was diagnosed with an unknown illness. A few weeks after Ann had surgery, she died

Effect Of Observation On The Language Development Of Home...
The setting that I choose for observation #1 is a home child care. The children vary in their ages from
six weeks up to four years. There are one baby, four infants and three preschoolers. In this
observation, I will describe the language development of child A and child B that are in the infant
room. Afterward, I will describe the interactions strategies that the teacher uses when sharing the
book. The setting of the play area is indoor and outdoors. The indoor area is a proximal 25ft by 30ft.
In this room the toys were ordered in a basket and by category. The teacher let the infants know that is
play time. The care provider introduces the toys and assigns them to play. Child A is about one year
and two months and start to explore one specific

Video Game Violence Essay
Video Game Violence
Violence in video games has been a hot topic ever since the beginnings of the industry. From
depictions of a polygonal frog being run over in Frogger, to stealing cars in a realistic environment a
la Grand Theft Auto, this topic has sparked serious debate. The traditional liberal stance is that the
government should forcefully regulate the video game industry. The conservative stance is that the
industry does a good job of rating itself, and that government should not get involved. The liberal
stance has its points, in the fact that video games are getting more realistic and more violent. With
increasing technology in computers, the video game industry also makes advances in graphics and
what they can display. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most of the sources I found were psychology journals or publications dedicated to adolescent health.
These articles tended to lean both ways. Some articles claimed that there was a link between video
game violence and violence in real life. Others said that no such link existed. Neither side quoted any
solid sources, however. Many of the medical journals lumped together TV, movies, and video games
in their articles. Most of the psychology journals advocated more parent involvement and more social
interaction. Of the non medical sources, most were news articles. A few used the articles previously
mentioned about how video games and violence were supposedly linked to prove their point. Some
were about courts who had thrown out cases that claimed that video games were responsible for
causing children to commit horrible acts like Columbine. Most of the major news sources tended to
stay neutral on this issue. They only reported games that had record breaking sales or the must have
games. What I was hoping to find, however, were articles that argued from the government point of
view. I was hoping to find articles for and against mandatory government enforced ratings of video
games. However, none of those came up.
As a video gamer, I believe that video game companies should be allowed to freely develop games as
they please. I am personally aware of several cases of extreme censorship. For example, a World War
2 based game was

Mississippi Solo Figurative Language
Figurative language in the memoir Mississippi Solo by Eddy Harris Have you ever been on a canoe
journey alone? In the story mississippi solo by Eddy Harris, the author uses figurative language to
give a vivid picture of his extraordinary experience of canoeing down the Mississippi river. In his
story he uses personification, simile, metaphor, and hyperbole to help readers give a visual of his
experience. Some personification he uses is in lines 53, witch says But the voice of the river came out
and spoke to me teasingly but with a chill of seriousness down my spine. that quote means that the
river was moving him the way he did not want to go. The other figurative language was in lines 101, it
was The storm slid forward, and the rain

Old Yeller
Abstract
When people think of the book or the movie, Old Yeller, it is often thought of as a story about the
bond between a boy and his dog, a common theme in many TV shows and books. However, Old
Yeller, as it turns out, proves to be much more than that; it is a true coming of age story. At 14 years
old, Travis Coates lives with his mother and little brother, Arliss, in the hill country of Texas during
the 1860s when his father must leave home to work on a cattle drive. He leaves Travis to act a man s
part and take care of the family in his absence. While working in a cornfield one day, Travis come
across Old Yeller and tries to drive him away, but his younger brother, Arliss likes Old Yeller and

Afterall, he had just lost his dog, Bell, to a rattlesnake bite, and the attachment to both Bell and his
father cannot be replaced so soon. With his father gone away for several months and Bell dead at the
fangs of a rattlesnake, Travis has some major adjustments to make in terms of his internal model of
self. He needs to take on the rolf of a man. He has many conflicting roles to deal with disciplinarian to
his younger brother, Arliss, only to get scolded by his mother for doing so which leaves him feeling
there is no winning because of the conflict caused by assuming so many roles boy, playmate, man, and
protector. These conflicts frustrate Travis who thought it was not fair and thinks to himself, how could
I be the man of the family if nobody paid any attention to what I thought or said...I sulked and felt
sorry for myself all the time...[and] the more I thought of it the angrier I at got at that big yeller dog.
(Gibson 1956). Travis feels offended, too, that Lisbeth turns out to be a big help. She helps by getting
the water and gathering the corn, and has a good time laughing with Mama and Arliss. It hurts Travis
pride to see him so easily replaced by a girl. He consoles himself by remembering that he can hunt,
mark hogs and swing an axe, and she cannot (studymode 2014).

That wasn t a finish line for me...This is my new starting line.
The rating I would give this book is a 5 star because the author pulled me in and kept me reading. This
book was so good and here are 2 quotes to prove it: If the mind s not strong, the body acts weak, even
if it s not. If the mind says it s too cold or too rainy or too windy to run, the body will be more than
happy to agree. If the mind says it would be better to rest or recover or cut practice, the body will be
glad to oblige. Don t sum up a person based on what you see, or what you don t understand; get to
know them I would totally recommend this book to your friends and family because it is one of the top
3 books I have ever read. After you read this book, you will think the same. The reason I would totally
recommend this book is that this book changed how I look at people. Especially special needs kids.
This book made me look at someone at my school who is special needs and people shouldn t look at
her disability, but they should look at her and think of what kind of person she is. I was friends with
her and she is really sweet and kind once you get to know her. That s my message to you. Focus on
what s on the inside of people and not on the

Anzac Day Becomes A Sacred Holiday
1921: Anzac Day becomes a sacred holiday
Anzac Day is celebrated on 25th of April. The day of commemorating all the New Zealanders killed in
the war, also to honour the returned service men and women.
Every year New Zealand remembers the anniversary of the Gallipoli landing. The day when thousands
of men, far from home and their families, arrived at Gallipoli Peninsula in what is now Turkey. New
Zealand s journey to Gallipoli began with the outbreak of war between the United Kingdom and
Germany in August 1914. A year later, British authorities send Australian and New Zealand forces to
capture the Dardanelles, the gateway to Bosporus and the Black Sea
New Zealand fought alongside Australia, Great Britain, Ireland, India and Newfoundland against
Ottoman forces fighting to protect their homeland, for eight long months. The Gallipoli Peninsula
dominates a waterway, the Dardanelles. By opening the Dardanelles, the Allies hoped to threaten the
Ottoman capital, Constantinople (now Istanbul) and knock the Turks out of the war.
By the time the campaign ended, more than 130,000 men had died: at least 87,000 Ottoman soldiers
and 44,000 Allied soldiers, including more than 8700 Australians. There were 2779 dead New
Zealanders, which was about a fifth of all those who had landed on the peninsula.
The date April the 25th, was officially named Anzac Day in 1916. But the status of Anzac day wasn t
clear until the 1920 s. During the twenties, ANZAC Day became established as a national

ENLIGHTENMENT AS AN IDEA: Enlightenment is man s emergence from his self imposed
nonage... Sapere Aude! Dare to Know! Have the courage to use your own understanding is therefore
the motto of the Enlightenment. Immanuel Kant (Columbia.edu)

The early liberal figures rejected many foundational assumptions which dominated earlier theories of
regime, such as the divine right of kings, traditional status, and established religion, and strongly
focused on individual freedom, reason, justice and tolerance. However the irony of the revolution
remains that it itself took birth out of brutality and bloodshed.
CRITICISM ON THE IDEA OF LIBERALISM:
But not everybody was happy on what was happening in the French society due to the enlightenment
thoughts. Burke is famous for his great support for the American Revolution and his fierce opposition
to the French Revolution. He expressed his opposition in Reflections on the Revolution in France
(1790). Burke emphasized the dangers of mob rule, fearing that the Revolution s vehemence was
destroying French society. Burke appealed to the qualities of continuity, tradition, status and property
and opposed the Revolution to the end of his life. (History)
All circumstances taken together, the French revolution is the most astonishing that has hitherto
happened in the world. The most wonderful things are brought about, in many instances by means the
most absurd and ridiculous, in the most ridiculous modes, and apparently by the most contemptible
instruments. Everything

Hillary Clinton Achievements
Hillary Clinton
President of the United States, the highest office in our nation. A respected title, a praiseworthy title,
an honorable title, but some may ask why anyone would want to be President. For the fame or power?
Well, that is how most people think the candidate, Hillary Clinton, thinks of it. Trump, Cruz, Kasich,
Clinton, and Sanders are the remaining candidates still in the race for the presidency. All candidates
have their faults, but Hillary s biggest fault is how she is campaigning. When people listen to her
presidential campaigns, they are not hearing politics or how she is going to improve our country; what
they hear, is Hillary attacking her fellow candidates, trying to make them appear weak. Our President
should not conduct ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both, Obama and Clinton were against same sex marriage until voting commenced; as a result, people
considered the sudden change of mind to be a political move. She was interviewed by Terry Gross,
who wanted to find out if her ideas had evolved since she last ran in the 90 s. However, Clinton never
gave detailed answers, she stated, We have all evolved, and became angry when Gross repetitively
asked. She complained, stating Terry was, playing with my words. She also went on to say how proud
of herself she was for what she has done for this issue, however, Mrs. Clinton never quite specified
what she did ( Hillary Clinton ). In another interview, Clinton answered questions from various
women and indicated she wanted to focus on children and education, however, throughout the
interview she spoke about her hair style and a new brand of milk she found. The women also asked
her why she desired to be President, yet she did not give an answer ( Hillary Talks ). Clinton believes
after having an African American President in office for two consecutive terms, we now want a female
President. However, voters call her a clumsy campaigner because of the questions her staff gave the
audience before a speaking event in her last Presidential run, hence, some voters believe this could
happen again (Malcolm Andrew). Clinton continues to be baffled by how little her voters know about
her and that it

Charlemagne Pros And Cons
Known as The King of the Franks, Charlemagne inherited half of his father s kingdom at his death in
AD 768 and took over the other half at his brother s death in AD 771. In keeping with the tradition of
his predecessors, Charlemagne s reign was characterized by three decades of military campaigns.
During his reign, Charlemagne led campaigns against the Saxons, the Lombards, Spain and Bavaria.
His empire extended from Saxony in the North to the Spanish March in the South and Italy in the
West. Charlemagne was officially named as the first Roman Emperor by the Pope in late AD 800. He
remained emperor until AD 814.
Charlemagne ruled as king but relied on an inner circle of trusted advisors. He also relied on counts to

Empirical Sport Psychology Related Research Articles
The present review will analyze and critique five empirical sport psychology related research articles.
Moreover, the discussion of each article will include which statistical method was used, why it was
used, and whether or not it was appropriate for the data. In addition, the article discussion will include
a description and possible critique of the author s interpretations of the results. Article 1 Lavalle
(2005) evaluated the effectiveness of a life development intervention for retired professional athletes
who experienced career transition adjustment issues. Lavalle (2005) recruited 71 participants, all of
which were retired professional male soccer players who played in England or Scotland. Lavalle

Participants in both groups completed the British Athletes Lifestyle Assessment Needs in Career and
Education (BALANCE; Lavallee, Wylleman, 1999) scale and the Transition Coping Questionnaire
(TCQ; Schlossberg, 1993), three weeks after career termination (Lavalle, 2005). In addition, the TCQ
was completed again within four months of career termination (Lavalle, 2005). Lavalle (2005)
conducted a paired samples t test on participants BALANCE Scale scores. The paired samples t test
was chosen to establish whether or not the two groups were significantly different at the onset of their

Lean Development Using A Money Machine Mindset From An It...
Lean Development using a Money Machine mindset from an IT business owner s perspective
Back in early 2008, I was the happy advocate of starting my own business, an information technology
(IT) consulting firm. It was a partnership that focused on small computer support, network
engineering, network design/implementation, computer training. Our marketed tag line was to provide
proactive enterprise level IT management and support to small businesses at a fraction of the cost. I
was very anxious and eager to learn about business, so I did vast research and internet searches on
traditional business plans, visited business incubators, spoke with the local Chamber of Commerce,
and had conversations with other small business owners.
At this time, a colleague, whom soon after became a friend and business mentor, introduced me to
alternative methods of creating a business start up and stepping away from the traditional business
plan. Unknowingly, my firm became part of an up and coming movement or methodology, known as
Lean Start up or Lean Development. According to the decades old formula, you write a business plan,
pitch it to investors, assemble a team, introduce a product, and start selling as hard as you can.
Unfortunately, by following this practice 75% of all start ups fail according to Harvard Business
School s Shikhar Ghosh [Blank 2013]. Using the traditional business plan approach, one uses a cookie
cutter template to create executive summaries, mission

Anyone seeing these numbers simply just sees them as a random group of figures; however, to the victims of former Yugoslavia, Rwanda, and the Holocausts, these are the number of civilian casualties as a result of genocide, or the methodical massacre of a sizeable group of individuals. Throughout history, there have been several examples of genocide. In some instances, those affected received aid or a form of intervention, while others did not. In 1992, Bosnia, following the footsteps of Croatia and Slovenia for independence, was home for different ethnic Muslim groups; with in the same year, Serbia declared war on Bosnia in hopes to claim the land as their own (History of Bosnian Genocide). By using military force and concentration camps, Serbia was attempting to eradicate this ethnic group using genocide. Just like the Holocausts, individual rights were being violated and they were being dehumanized. As a result and stated in our class text, the International Criminal Court (1998) was formed to holding state leaders accountable for human rights violations. The Atomic Energy Of Canada Limited Brief History (MICHAEL TABB) Merriam Webster has defined reliability as: the extent to which an experiment, test, or measuring procedure yields the same results on repeated trials .[1] As technology advances, so does the use of computing and software in health services. With the onset of cancer, Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) created a medical linear accelerator known as the Therac 25. The machines responsibility is to accelerate and increase the energy of electrically charge atomic particles by the introduction of an electric field focused by magnets. These accelerators are used to treat cancer patients with radiation to remove malignant cancerous cells and tissue. The use of the machines caused radiation overdoses between 1985 and 1987 causing loss of life and limb for patients in six accidents.[2] These six accidents began 3 June 1985 with a sixty one year old woman receiving her twelfth treatment at Kennestone Regional Oncology Center in Marietta, Georgia. She had her breast removed and lost the use of a shoulder and arm after feeling a tremendous rush of heat and red hot sensation , while receiving follow up treatment for a malignant tumor removed from her breast in that facility (Porrelo, A.). Mr. M Rhetorical Analysis Try to imagine what it is like to be a black person, choking inside with rage and frustration, bitterness, and then to discover that one of your own kind is a traitor, has betrayed you to those responsible for the suffering and misery of your family, of your people (74). While in a conversation with Isabel, Thami tries to justify the Comrades actions in killing Mr. M. This quote illustrates his bitter hurt and despair at/after the discovery of Mr. M s betraying visit to the police. It clearly shows his frustration and passion about the conflict at hand. After Mr. M, one of the people he had trusted the most, betrayed him for an outsider, he felt upset and deceived, yet still remorseful of his death and therefore not angry. This upset mood continues throughout the rest of the sentence: describing Mr. M as a traitor and using the vivid nouns suffering and misery all showcase Thami s tortured attitude toward the situation that had unfolded. However, Fugard not only chooses words carefully to emphasize this tone, but also uses brilliant fabricated wordplay. In the metaphor choking inside with rage and frustration , the author yet again displays the overall bitter tone of the sentence. The word choking bears a negative connotation, as suffocation is extremely unpleasant and sometimes even life threatening, rendering the victim helpless for a certain amount of time. Therefore, its use here is unmistakably intensifying the emotions in what Thami is saying in an almost despairing manner, as if he was pleading for air but not receiving any. An element is a type of matter composed of only one kind of atom, each atom of a given kind having the same properties. Mass is one such property. One resource to assist with this ambition is to utilize the human resources (HR) department as a strategic partner in the micro and macro planning of the organization. This paper will define the role and function while distinguishing the duties and responsibilities of an effective HR department. Background Ellard Williams, Incorporated (EWI) is a manufacturing firm employing nearly 11,300 workers (Colorado State University Global Campus, n.d.). At this time, the firm is experiencing deficiencies in the HR department, which is leading to ineffective processes and a drop in profits throughout the organization. As a result of the unsuccessful HR department, employee motivation, performance, and productivity are suffering that is causing production delays and high defect rates (n.d.). Role and Function The HR professional s function is more than shuffling through applications, inputting data, and providing reports. The second paper, written by David Norris, focuses mainly on the history of Pentecostal women in ministry. He gave a brief mention to the emergence of Holiness women preachers, and then fast forwards to the Pentecostal movement. Because many of the people involved in the Pentecostal movement had once been a part of the Holiness movement, women were generally accepted as ministers. However, even here women were relegated to the margins. They took the broken, burnt out, run down churches that no one else wanted. Many times these women would revitalized a run down church only to step down, or be shunted aside, so a man could take over as pastor. According to Norris, at the founding of the UPCI nearly 22% of the licensed ministers were women. This number has steadily declined over the past 50 years until only 3% of the licensed ministers are women. Norris gives four possible reasons for this: 1. Because women did not learn how to theologically defend their position at the beginning of the movement, they do not know how now that the climate has changed to where they must defend their calling. 2. Before Eleanor was five, her father broke his ankle while doing somersaults for the county circus. To reduce the pain of his injury, Elliott began drinking more heavily. Because of Elliott s moodiness and depression, he set out to find a cure for himself. This separated him from all of his children, including Eleanor. Without Eleanor s father with her, she became discouraged. Her only wish was to make her father happy. Not only was Eleanor upset over Elliott leaving; Anna was as well. Anna was furious with his decisions and started to neglect her children. Eleanor s education was disregarded, so her mother hired her a tutor. While this was occurring, Anna was diagnosed with an unknown illness. A few weeks after Ann had surgery, she died ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 23. Video Game Violence Essay Video Game Violence Violence in video games has been a hot topic ever since the beginnings of the industry. From depictions of a polygonal frog being run over in Frogger, to stealing cars in a realistic environment a la Grand Theft Auto, this topic has sparked serious debate. The traditional liberal stance is that the government should forcefully regulate the video game industry. The conservative stance is that the industry does a good job of rating itself, and that government should not get involved. The liberal stance has its points, in the fact that video games are getting more realistic and more violent. With increasing technology in computers, the video game industry also makes advances in graphics and what they can display. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most of the sources I found were psychology journals or publications dedicated to adolescent health. These articles tended to lean both ways. Some articles claimed that there was a link between video game violence and violence in real life. Others said that no such link existed. Neither side quoted any solid sources, however. Many of the medical journals lumped together TV, movies, and video games in their articles. Most of the psychology journals advocated more parent involvement and more social interaction. Of the non medical sources, most were news articles. A few used the articles previously mentioned about how video games and violence were supposedly linked to prove their point. Some were about courts who had thrown out cases that claimed that video games were responsible for causing children to commit horrible acts like Columbine. Most of the major news sources tended to stay neutral on this issue. They only reported games that had record breaking sales or the must have games. What I was hoping to find, however, were articles that argued from the government point of view. I was hoping to find articles for and against mandatory government enforced ratings of video games. However, none of those came up. As a video gamer, I believe that video game companies should be allowed to freely develop games as they please. I am personally aware of several cases of extreme censorship. For example, a World War 2 based game was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the story mississippi solo by Eddy Harris, the author uses figurative language to give a vivid picture of his extraordinary experience of canoeing down the Mississippi river. Old Yeller Abstract When people think of the book or the movie, Old Yeller, it is often thought of as a story about the bond between a boy and his dog, a common theme in many TV shows and books. However, Old Yeller, as it turns out, proves to be much more than that; it is a true coming of age story. He needs to take on the rolf of a man. He has many conflicting roles to deal with disciplinarian to his younger brother, Arliss, only to get scolded by his mother for doing so which leaves him feeling there is no winning because of the conflict caused by assuming so many roles boy, playmate, man, and protector. The day of commemorating all the New Zealanders killed in the war, also to honour the returned service men and women. Every year New Zealand remembers the anniversary of the Gallipoli landing. The day when thousands of men, far from home and their families, arrived at Gallipoli Peninsula in what is now Turkey. By the time the campaign ended, more than 130,000 men had died: at least 87,000 Ottoman soldiers and 44,000 Allied soldiers, including more than 8700 Australians. There were 2779 dead New Zealanders, which was about a fifth of all those who had landed on the peninsula. The date April the 25th, was officially named Anzac Day in 1916. CRITICISM ON THE IDEA OF LIBERALISM: But not everybody was happy on what was happening in the French society due to the enlightenment thoughts. Burke is famous for his great support for the American Revolution and his fierce opposition to the French Revolution. He expressed his opposition in Reflections on the Revolution in France (1790). Burke emphasized the dangers of mob rule, fearing that the Revolution s vehemence was destroying French society. Burke appealed to the qualities of continuity, tradition, status and property and opposed the Revolution to the end of his life. Lean Development using a Money Machine mindset from an IT business owner s perspective Back in early 2008, I was the happy advocate of starting my own business, an information technology (IT) consulting firm. It was a partnership that focused on small computer support, network engineering, network design/implementation, computer training. Our marketed tag line was to provide proactive enterprise level IT management and support to small businesses at a fraction of the cost. I was very anxious and eager to learn about business, so I did vast research and internet searches on traditional business plans, visited business incubators, spoke with the local Chamber of Commerce, and had conversations with other small business owners. At this time, a colleague, whom soon after became a friend and business mentor, introduced me to alternative methods of creating a business start up and stepping away from the traditional business plan. Unknowingly, my firm became part of an up and coming movement or methodology, known as Lean Start up or Lean Development. According to the decades old formula, you write a business plan, pitch it to investors, assemble a team, introduce a product, and start selling as hard as you can. Unfortunately, by following this practice 75% of all start ups fail according to Harvard Business School s Shikhar Ghosh [Blank 2013].
