second good (Lecture slide 8, Sept. 19th 2016). Powers and Fink conceive pleasure as a causation
of the act of play. One of the main forms of play that is talked about by Power and Fink is
imaginative play. This is where, in part, Plato s view differs from that of Fink and Powers. Plato
does not see imaginationas a way for people to cultivate themselves or a way to attain knowledge;
he views imagination as mere mimicry of reality. In this paper the approach of Powers and Fink
will be examined to demonstrate that imagination is a way to cultivate oneself and reach a point
of self actualization through play and that imagination can improve the play experience and

In addition to the mph gene, few gene regulations are implemented as safety assessment for the
product. In the recombination process of making this product, Ecoli plasmid has been used as a
vector to insert mph gene into host bacteria. We use a plasmid vector from E.coli that has
conserved sequence for Plac promoter and gef suicide gene. Plac promoter is positioned upstream
of mph gene to regulate its expression. Later, Plac promoter will be activated by induction with
IPTG.
A suicide system in E.coli plasmid vector is used to reduce the potential risk of gene escaping into
the environment. Genetic transfer from GM bacteria to other bacteria via trans conjugation will
cause unexpected genetic combinations. This method is implemented by using recipient plasmid
with suicide gene gef from E.coli, with expression controlled by Pm promoter. Pm promoter
sequence, which present upstream of the gef suicide gene will control the expression of gef suicide
gene.
The suicide system did not interfere with the performance of the GM bacteria until its
physiological function was activated by specific signal. In developing this product, we use Methyl
Benzoate as the chemical suicide signal. Following the addition of methyl benzoate, the Pm
promoter will be activated, and lead to the activation of gef suicide gene. This activates the suicide

researcher with the means to highlight the strengths and limitations of that particular research
(Eriksson, P., Kovalainen, A., 2008). According to Eriksson, P., Kovalainen, A. (2008), one of the
reasons that lead to a poor quality research is when a qualitative research is assessed with the help of
evaluation criteria adopted from quantitative research and vice versa. Conducting a quantitative
research requires gathering data from a large number of samples whereas in qualitative research,

understanding the participants social world in depth through probing, asking questions and case
